"Candytale - Prologue"
Summary - Frisk finally faces the consequences for their actions. The resets.
Tumblr media
"Prologue - The Candy Rot"
Frisk never noticed the slow decay of the Underground as they reset it over and over again. They weren't paying attention to the monsters they would kill over and over again. Their only goal was to get to the end once more to see what the fallen child- Chara, would say about their actions. Frisk was so used to not receiving any consequences for their actions. They felt so powerful because of the resets, that they started to look down on the monsters because of their lack of it. They stopped seeing the monsters as friends, enemies, or even sentient beings. Just lumps of code. Just obstacles before the endgame. That's why they didn't notice how all the monsters were slowly rotting inside out. With every time Frisk slashed and bloodied Toriel. With every time they decapitated and mercilessly maimed Papyrus. Every time they swung and slowly broke at Undyne. Every time they bashed in Mettaton's chest. Every time they completely violate Sans. Every time they killed Asgore. Every time they betrayed Asriel. And every time they spoke with Chara...The code of the world was learning something new. The code of the Undertale was self-learning and ever growing. Despite what it seemed on the surface, the Undertale would never forget Frisk's actions. This code wasn't sentient. It could only do so much before it started to malfunction.
It started out as nothing but small scars. Most of the monsters who awoke with these scars didn't notice them. But those scars were the scars signifying their demise in the previous Timeline. Frisk reset for the 102nd time. Alphys was the first to notice. Deep and bold bruises around her neck. "So, you've been waking up with mysterious scars?" Alphys questioned. "Yep. That's the one." Sans replied. Sans was forced to go to the doctors by Papyrus. Papyrus was always very tentative with Sans' health due to his low HP. "I tried callin' up a regular doctor, but they referred me over to you." He explained.
"Yes, I did get the Email. They also sent me your past medical record. Sans, my friend, can you tell me why you called the doctors saying that you shoved an egg into your skull and couldn't get it--" "Let's just get back on track." Sans said, changing the subject. "Well, I'm glad you came. I thought I was the only one." Alphys said. She pulled down her turtleneck to reveal gruesome bruises and scars all across her neck. "Oh--" Sans felt like he was going to vomit, though the emotion didn't shine to far to the surface. "God Alph', that looks bad." Sans replied. "I know. I just woke up with it one morning. Was that the case for you?" Alphys questioned.
"Yep. Except mine is a scar and not..." He coughed into his hand. "That." He said. "Well, maybe these are somewhat related. Have you and I done anything in common recently that could have caused these?" Alphys replied. Died. They had both died recently. "I dunno. I hardly do much of anything." Sans replied.
"Well, then I suppose that there isn't much else we can do." Alphys responded. "I'll run look over the photos again and I'll look further into it. Let me know if anything else strange happens." Alphys said as Sans turned to the door. "Will do." He replied. "Cya later." He added before stepping out the door, it shutting behind him. Alphys gently picked at the scars around her neck before turning back to her work. Frisk reset for the 103rd time.
Papyrus was becoming a little concerned. His neck had felt stiff before but never to this extent. Almost like at any moment his head would would fall off. But then he soon found peppermint bunching around his eyes. It was strange and he cleaned it up to the best of his ability. But now it started to stain, and it started to burn.
Sans, for the first time in a long time, felt scared. This was new. This was something different. And change was scary. Caramel ice cream… Candy was dripping from his eye sockets like tears, bleeding from the scar. And somehow clogging up his brain. Frisk reset for the 104 time.
Undyne wasn't sure what to do. She had heard about candy-themed inconveniences happening throughout the Underground, but she hadn't expected to find herself be the victim. She found peppermint, candy-canes and jolly-ranchers bunching up in her hair. And it hurt to try and get them out. At some point. she decided to just live with it. But then her blind eye started feeling strange. "Alph', I'm starting to think I'm in real trouble here." Undyne said. "Oh Undyne, you've got it almost as bad as everyone else. God, I'm so sorry." Alphys cried. "Everyone else?" Undyne muttered. "What about everyone else?" Undyne questioned. Alphys was almost sobbing but got herself together. "A bunch of hotland creatures came in about 'turning into candy.' It's all connected to these strange scars. And Sans and Papyrus--" "What happened to Papyrus?!" Undyne questioned, almost aggressively as her head snapped into Alphys' direction at the mention of Papyrus. This was due to Papyrus not being able to attend training. "He and his brother had caramel and candy dripping out of their skulls to the point where it was hard to function!" Alphys explained, shivering at the thought. "Yeesh, that's rough." Undyne groaned at the thought. "I'll need to try and get Papyrus some 'get well soon' spaghetti." She added.
"Indeed." Alphys replied. "Well, have we found any kinda cure?" Undyne questioned. Alphys liked how she said 'we.' It made her feel like she wasn't alone in the endeavor, and Undyne was happy to get that point across. "Not yet. But the other scientists, the r-research time and I are working hard to find some way to neutralize it. We think it might have something to do with an inner decay of the soul." Alphys explained. "Huh. Well do ya know what's causing the 'inner soul decay' or whatever it was you said?" Undyne asked. "Not exactly." Alphys replied. "But we are working on it. All we need is someone with what we've been calling the 'Candy Rot' to allow us to run the analysis on their soul." Alphys explained and opened her laptop. "Most monsters h-have been to afraid to have the analysis run. And I-I don't blame them." Alphys continued. "The Candy Rot, huh? So that's what I've got going on?" Undyne asked. "Unfortunately, yes." Alphys answered.
"Well then I'll be your little analysis tool!" Undyne called out triumphantly at the thought. "W-What!?" Alphys called out in shock. "Yep! I'll letcha do your little soul-analysis thingy on me." Undyne said. "Undyne!....A-Are you sure? It is dangerous since it is being r-run on the soul. Are...you sure?" Alphys muttered. "Yep! Anything to try and help my friends." She replied and walked closer to Alphys. "Oh Undyne! Thank you!" She called out and pulled Undyne into a tight hug. Undyne smiled. "Of course, Alph. You can count on me." Undyne said and hugged her back. That was the last time they truly spoke like themselves. During the next reset, Frisk finally saw what they had done. It started out, simply in the Ruins.

how will the main characters from ut help their friend (or adopted human child in the situation with Toriel and Asgore) if they find out that they have fallen in love with Papyrus/Sans?
Undertale Sans - Oh boy. He didn’t sign for this ??? It was pretty obvious you were interested in Papyrus, but Sans never thought you would come see him to ask for help. He’s kinda panicking right now. Because, first, he doesn’t want you to take his brother away, but in the same time, he wants his brother to be happy and you are making him happy. This dilemma is too had for one skeleton to bear and he just falls on the ground like a seastar. Sans is not helpful.
Undertale Papyrus - Papyrus is a bit too overexcited at the idea you are trying to know his brother more. He will give you his dating manual, and will gladly roleplay with you. You are trying to explain him nicely that it is not helping since he kept flirting with you and Sans is not a flirty one, and kept proposing you to gift him bones, but he’s trying his best so you can’t get mad. Sans is happy you are bonding with his brother, so it kinda works ?
Undertale Toriel -  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Toriel is very glad you are interested in Sans/Papyrus. You see, she knows them for a little while now and she knows exactly what can flustered them. The look on Sans’ face when you offered him that plastic duck dressed in bikini was priceless, but probably not what both of you expect in the first place. For Papyrus, she bought you a bungee jump. Nothing like two minutes of absolute terror to get closer ! And it worked ! You knocked so hard Papyrus skull during the fall that you knocked both of you out !
Undertale Asgore - Asgore knows more Sans than Papyrus, so he can only help you with him. He gave you one of the golden flowers of his garden, since they are very rare now they are not Underground anymore. Well, you are not sure it worked. When Sans saw the golden flower, he kinda jerked up like you burnt him and blasted the poor golden flower. You are not sure why he panicked like that, but you spend the rest of the afternoon hugging him the time his panic attack stopped. So, in a way, you get closer from him ? Thanks King Fluffybuns !
Undertale Undyne - Undyne is a lot more close from Papyrus and will help you mostly with him. But she recommended you to throw Papyrus from the window of a skyscraper, rushing down stairs and catch him before he dies. That’s sound a bit too brutal for you. Also, she says he loves figurines. That’s already more feasible.
Undertale Alphys - She’s looking around her to see if you are really asking her that. Then she said “What do you know about cosplay ?”. Oh boy. Your boney crush is not ready for the evil nurse costume. Or you thought they were. Sans is looking at you with confusion and Papyrus is scolding you for stealing a nurse costume at the hospital. You knew you should have chose My little pony.
Undertale Frisk - * FLIRT. They also help you roleplay. Except Frisk is way too more investing at a point where it becomes a bit scary. Be gone, demonic firtatious creature.
Undertale Chara - “Easy. You stab Papyrus, then you go to see Sans and you tell him : Eh, I see you are SANS a brother now, maybe I can be your wife or something ?” You decide precisely not to do that.
Undertale Mettaton - He wants to create a TV show where your love one have to save you from dangerous things. You almost agreed until he said that he will be the one holding the chainsaw to cut you in half while Skellyboy is risking his life fighting a white shark in a giant pool. You thanked Mettaton and LEAVE.
Undertale Gaster - ??? You were having a nice chat with your fridge when that thing absorb it and tried to talk to you. You understood that you need to tell Sans your feelings out of the goop. Actually, that’s not what Gaster was saying. He was begging for help to get rid of the fridge, but it helped anyway.
Undertale Grillby - “Easy ! Pay his tab or buy him Ketchup.” You decide to look at his tab. After fainting three times after seeing the amount, you decide to buy ketchup instead. It’s working just as well.
Undertale Muffet - “First, you wrap him up in a nice sticky web. Then, you lay your eggs. And then you eat his head.” What the hell were you expecting of a spider ?
Undertale Burgerpants - “Little buddy chummy pal, if you want to live an other day : DON’T.” Well. That’s kinda an advice I guess.

Poppy Fanfic: “Ask Her”
For context: This is a fanfic I wrote in order to join the Poppy Milk dev team and show off my writing skills. Since the callout at the time said we’d need to write a lot of sidequests, I wanted to ask the question of what a Poppy-centered side-quest would be like. I got the idea that it would be from an Asker’s perspective, and everything sort of came naturally after that. Even though I’m on the dev team right now, it’s not canon to Omega Timeline: Poppy’s Story and even has some inaccuracies that contradict canon. With that said, please feel free to read the story below the cut.
---
You noticed something very different inside your room when you woke up. The lights were off and the sun hadn’t yet risen, but there was a certain… aura, coming from your door. You were filled with a certain trepidation, but… you approached it. It was hard to see in the light, but it looked… grey.
Swallowing the lump in your throat, you stepped through...
...and found about the last person you would’ve expected. The spitting image of Frisk - CORE!Frisk, that was, looking up at you, in the middle of a white void.
“Wh- You’re real?!” you asked, dumbfounded.
“Of course I’m real. Have you been taking all this multiverse stuff for granted? Everything is real somewhere,” Core answered, simply.
“I… I don’t… and you, me…” you panted, starting to feel a small panic attack coming on.
“Focus,” Core snapped their fingers, grounding you back in reality. Okay, this was happening now.
“Let’s get down to business. Simply: you don’t like me. And I don’t like you. But we BOTH like Poppy. Poppy, my dear, sweet angel… has unfortunately recently come to the realization that Askers ALSO exist in the multiverse. And now she wants to do a ‘meet n’ greet’ with one of her fans. Trust me, I TRIED to talk her out of it, but she can be darn persuasive when she wants to be. And as you’re now realizing, that’s where you come in.
“I wanna make you a deal. You play along with whatever Poppy wants until she gets bored of this. If you’re on your best behavior - and that means, don’t give her anything bad, don’t tell her anything you KNOW she shouldn’t know, don’t use any magic, and be a general good influence - if you play nice, in exchange, I will allow you to hang out with ANY resident of the Omega Timeline.
“Want to spend a day full of wacky hijinks with a Papyrus, or even an Underswap Sans? Consider it done. Want to know how Deltarune Chapter 2 plays out ahead of time? I know a Susie with your name on it. Whatever you want, so long as you play by the rules, and don’t ask for anyone obviously ridiculous. So… do we have ourselves a deal?”
You contemplated that offer, and everything that was happening, trying to suppress your inner urge to geek out for just a few moments. The Omega Timeline, Poppy, and all the AU’s you could think of and more were real. And you just got an invitation to visit them.
“Yeah, of course!” you nodded excitedly, though your enthusiasm only seemed to make Core more anxious.
“Don’t make me regret this…” Core sighed, as the whiteness seemed to melt away into a cozy-looking house with wooden floors and lime walls, where you were standing directly outside of a white door. Core seemed to have disappeared.
Technically, there was nothing stopping you from exploring. So you did just that. You walked up to a shelf with some family photos. One was a photo of Poppy, Core, Dusted and Rust all together, in some meadow, looking happy. At least, you assumed Dusted and Rust were happy, they didn’t show up well on camera. There was another photo of Poppy alone, looking somewhat younger than she did on the blog, seated on a chair in a photo that looked far more staged. She held an actual poppy flower in her hand and smiled brightly.
You opened the cabinet doors, curious of what knick-knacks you might find in there. Some crayons, a few random glass cups, some art by 3-year-old Poppy that was so poorly done its meaning was hard to decipher, and a locked box. You reached for the box--
“Getting a bit sidetracked, aren’t we?”
You jolted up, and faced Core behind you. Even though they were child-sized, they crossed their arms with the poise and authority of a stern parent. You laughed anxiously. “Ahahaha… ahaha… ha……..”
“...Strike one.” Core said, and vanished. The meaning of that was all-too clear. Deciding not to dilly dally any longer, you went to the room you suspected to be Poppy’s, and knocked.
“Just a sec!” Poppy said, and opened the door. She looked up at you, and gasped. “Wow, Granpa really did come through…!” She twirled excitedly. “You must be my adoring fan, aren’t you?” she asked.
You stared down at the girl in stunned silence.
“To be honest, I kinda figured you’d be some gray guy with sunglasses, but that’s kinda silly in hindsight. How you doin’?” She asked that last line in a mock accent as you continued to stare.
“Baby,” you said.
“What?”
“Nothing,” you quickly tried to change the subject. “Yeah, it’s… y’know, it’s great to be here…” You clasped your hands together, biting your lip. You were in an Undertale AU, faced with the AU granddaughter of another AU character. You still weren’t entirely over that. Was this fever dream? Fandom heaven, or fandom hell?
“I know! Once I heard you guys weren’t from the Omega Timeline, I realized I hadn’t met even ONE of my fans… even if you guys are super annoying some of the time.”
“Uhhh, yeah…” you wondered if you should apologize on behalf of the askers who put Poppy in the hospital that one time. Then again, it seemed kind of awkward, and it might have been best not to bring that up while Core was watching, which was always. Looking down at the cutesy girl, it was almost tempting to pull her into a hug, but you managed to keep your composure.
“I wanted to do something a little more special than just some sorta interview, though, because you ask me questions all the time anyways,” Poppy said. “Granpa said you’ve never been to the Omega Timeline before, so I wanna give you the big tour!” Poppy went to the door. “I’m gonna be outside when you’re ready!” She left the room.
Seeing the empty room in front of you, you were tempted to snoop again, but you’d learned your lesson after last time. You headed straight out after Poppy.
You couldn’t help but gasp in awe of the serenity of the great outdoors as you were beckoned to it. You’d been outside before, obviously, but everything just looked so… nice. The blue sky, the grassy grounds, the ornate buildings… you’ve seen this place in pixel art and a couple drawings before, but seeing it with your own eyes was another story. And the next thing for you to nearly faint at was seeing the Undertale characters running around, Sanses, Undynes, Frisks, even goat moms.
Poppy smiled. “...It’s nice, isn’t it? I KNEW taking you on a tour was a good idea.” She smirked. “Now remember, just because this is a meet-up doesn’t mean it’s free, and there WILL be a fee at the end of our ride.”
“...Uh… I left my wallet at home,” you said, patting your pockets, “And I don’t have any, uh... ‘G,’ I think. Unless the G stands for ‘Gratitude,’ amiright?” you did finger guns.
“G stands for Gold,” Poppy corrected you bluntly, unamused. She returned to her chipper attitude just as quickly, though. “Now, let me show you around!” She led you down the street.
Walking with her, seeing so many versions of your favorite characters in the flesh, walking around… well, the temptation to talk to SOME of them was irresistible, Core be damned. You did resolve not to go too far off-track, but you shared some words with the folks you passed by, Poppy thankfully stopping each time you did. You met two Frisks - one boy, one ambiguous - an Underswap Undyne, a human version of Toriel, and surprisingly, a version of Princess Peach.
You and Poppy approached an elegant fountain, stood upon proudly by a statue of a mustachio’d CORE!Frisk. “This is the Timeline Plaza! It’s sort of the local park, where people meet up to do... stuff. Just hang out. Make a picnic. Play ball. All that good park-y stuff, y’know? And there’s stores in all directions, so it’s pretty good.” She proudly showed off her home to you, with a smile.
You talked to more on the way to the next place. An Inverted Fate Papyrus. A weird Ralsei who said his name was “Noyno.” An Asgore wearing a hoodie, who you assumed was swapped with Sans. (Poppy did scold you a little bit for this, telling you that just because someone has a hoodie you shouldn’t assume they’re swapped. You apologized.)
“This is Grillby’s! One of them, anyways. The nearest one to my house. It’s pretty good if you want an OK burger. Sanses love the place, though. It’s… kind of unhealthy. And a little gross.” Poppy said. “Especially when they just drink… raw… ketchup.”
“Can’t handle a little ketchup?” you smiled mischievously. “We drink it by the gallon back in my universe,” you lied.
“...I really hope you’re joking,” Poppy said, alarmed.
“Am I?” you smiled brighter.
“...W-well, we’re not going in there, so you can FORGET about drinking that much ketchup!” Poppy said, afraid of the sheer power of your ketchup-drinking.
You and Poppy moved onto the next spot. You met an Underswap Alphys who seemed to be trapped in a red-and-gold palette. You met a robot dressed as a circus ringmaster, who claimed to be a Chara. You met a Dummy dressed in a Frisk shirt. (You didn’t assume it was swapped with Frisk this time, which turned out to be a mistake, because it was.) Poppy stared at you awkwardly now, wondering why you were talking to all these random strangers. Finally, you and Poppy reached your next destination.
“The theater! Where we show off all the greatest hits! Including MY movie, which, not to brag, but it’s--”
Except, you’d been distracted by a hyperdeath Asriel, and were ignoring Poppy for the moment.
“...” Poppy spoke up. “That’s what I don’t get about you.”
“Huh?” that seemed to wake you up, and you looked at her.
“Everytime it’s always, ‘have you met Underswap Sans,’ or ‘have you met JangoTale Frisk,’ or some other weird thing. You always ask that. But… they’re just people. Why do you always assume I know some random Sans or Frisk or someone?”
“I…” you were a bit taken aback. “...I don’t… we don’t assume you know them, they’re just… they’re just important.”
“Important?” She asked. “...I-I mean, yeah, EVERYONE’s important, but, I don’t really get what you mean…”
“They’re all--” You paused, trying to collect your thoughts, think of everything you knew from the blog, and tried to actually talk to her. “...They’re like friends to me. Kinda.”
“...You guys are friends with them? I thought you were stuck in your world…” she frowned.
“No, it’s like-- I’m not ‘friends’ with Underswap Frisk, or-- or Storyshift Frisk, or Shifty or whatever, I’m just friends with… Frisk.”
...Poppy stared at you like you just said the ground was turning to jelly, or something equally bafflingly inane. “...I… think you’re confused. Look, sometimes newcomers struggle with this. Your Frisk isn’t the only Frisk--”
“I know! It’s… You don’t get it. This world, these worlds are so special and creative, and they mean a lot to me. I know we can be really edgy, and I know we ask weird questions about Dusted and Rust, but that’s all because… because...” you paused.
Poppy looked, seeming upset about hearing her siblings mentioned in the context of ‘edgy’ questions, not seeing what you were seeing. Core, standing behind her, holding up a hand signal.
The number two.
You were getting carried away. You overstepped.
“...Um… I’m sorry.” You pulled her into a hug as Core vanished. “There’s really no reason for us to ask those questions. We can just be dumb sometimes.”
“...” She hugged back. “Yeah, it’s okay. I knew you guys were super weird and dumb before I convinced Granpa to let you in here, so I guess I should’ve seen this coming,” Poppy smiled, regaining her confidence as you did your best to not be offended at being called weird and dumb.
“Okay! I think I have just one last stop in mind to cap this tour off on a high note! Literally, hehehe…” She giggled mischievously. This time, you didn’t stop to talk to others, following her directly as you approached a peak overlooking the town. For yet another time, and probably the last, you couldn’t help but ogle at the town’s beauty. “Pretty good, right?” She sat down.
“Ha… with all the climbing, I was worried we’d fall down a mountain,” you joked. Poppy seemed to roll her eyes, as you sat beside her. “...I guess I get how you can call this place home. I mean, once I stop nerding out, anyways. You don’t see stuff like this in my… reality.”
“Just gallons and gallons of ketchup, huh?” she commented. You couldn’t help but laugh.
“Yeah.”
And you two just stared into the distance for a while. ...She wasn’t just a character. She was a human being.
...Or, technically just a ‘being,’ scratch the human part. Still, you felt a bit desensitized to all this. And so did she. You related in that way.
“I can’t say you exactly passed with flying colors, but you fulfilled your end of the agreement well enough.”
Without any warning, you were back in a white void with CORE!Frisk, just like before. You almost forgot about the deal you made, what with all the time you spent with Poppy. You stood.
“Uh… yeah. So, my reward…” you drifted off, remembering the offer Core gave you. The chance to meet just about any AU character of your imagining… or at least, any that would be peaceful enough to be in the Omega Timeline. Which still left a WIDE variety of options…
Who did you want to see? What mattered most to you?
...
Thinking deeply… you told Core their name.
“...Oh. Really? Well, I guess it makes sense for you that you’d want to see them,” Core remarked. “I can’t guarantee they’ll give you what you’re looking for, but a deal’s a deal. Let’s head off.”
You and Core went somewhere else.
---
And that’s all she wrote! If you read this far, thank you. Working on the game since then has been fun, and I think you’ll like what we have in store. Until then, ciao.

BUCCI GANG AND HOW THEY WOULD PLAY UNDERTALE
Since I got my friend into the UT fandom, and the brainrot for this game is slowly coming back, I've figured that I'd fuse my favourite franchises and make this post, enjoy!
GIORNO:
-This may surprise you, but Giorno would almost do a Blind Pacifist run
-While at first, he was planning on taking out whoever got in his way, he changed his mind in the moment he saw Toriel
-After she taught him how to resolve the various conflicts peacefully, he decided not to fight, but to show MERCY to every monster
-He finds the multiplicity of choices a very interesting mechanism, especially since he's not much of a gamer, and he's pleasantly surprised to see such an innovative game
-While most of the times he would completely avoid the FIGHT button, if a monster got on his nerves a little too much, he may attack it until it doesn't want to fight anymore
-He takes the time to interact with everything and everyone, he wants to enjoy the game at its fullest
-He was so freaking lucky to meet Gaster on his first run
-Actually brought the piece of snowman with him
-He's part of the "Chara defense squad", and finds them strangely...relatable
-He was just about to do a full Pacifist route, but he couldn't bring himself to SPARE Flowey, and killed him
-"I won't let you hurt her"
-Ultimately, he regretted it, and reset his save file
-After doing a TRUE Pacifist, he left the game, leaving the monsters alone and giving them an happy ending
-Only knows about the Genocide through gameplays
-Favourite character: Toriel, but also likes Chara quite a lot
-Favourite OST: Memories, followed by home, Undertale, Megalo strikes back and Star (he doesn't care if they actually don't play in the game)
-What SOUL would he have: DETERMINATION
BRUNO:
-My man wouldn't hurt a fly if he had the chance to, off to the Pacifist route he goes
-Similar to Giorno, he finds Toriel a very comforting character, but he feels bad for pretty much every monster he meets. He thinks it's unfair for them to be forced to stay in the UNDERGROUND, and wants to find a way to destroy the barrier at any cost
-He's never played a videogame before, but he gets the hand of it quite quickly, even though he still ends up dying a couple of times.
-He would also be the kind of player to interact with EVERYTHING, paying close attention to whatever the passing monster has to say
-Sometimes, he likes to take a break, lay down and listen to the OST of the place he's exploring
-The most challenging enemies for him were Undyne and Asgore. It took him a while to realize that the only way to spare her was to run away, and he just really didn't want to hurt Goat papa
-He lets the bird carrying him to the other side, even if he doesn't actually need to move around. He just wants the little guy to feel appreciated
-Veeeery reluctantly, he decided to SPARE Flowey, it would have been a waste to kill somebody now, after everything that he had done so far
-He almost cried at the Pacifist ending
-He refuses to even acknowledge what happened in the Genocide route
-Favourite characters: Toriel and Asgore
-Favourite OST: Fallen down, but he also likes Heartache, Home and Waterfall
-What SOUL would he have: KINDNESS
MISTA:
-Mista's first run would be a Neutral. It's not that he enjoys killing the monsters, he's mostly just too lazy to think of a way to spare them
-If it's obvious, however, he'll just casually show the enemy MERCY, there's no need to take out absolutely everyone
-The only one who he genuinely looked for a way to spare was Papyrus. Honestly, he couldn't bring himself to just hurt him 'cause he had the chance to. Besides...He was afraid of what Sans would have done
-Speaking of him, he finds his jokes HILARIOUS, and he will use them in real life conversations if he gets the chance to
-He basically wasted all his money fighting Undyne
-He didn't buy the spider donut in the RUINS, and was forced to farm gold for 3 entire freaking days and buy one directly from Muffet
-After finishing the neutral route, he decided to go back and try the others. His next route was a Genocide
-He was about to shoot his computer AND himself while fighting Sans, but he eventually managed to beat him. Of course, after swearing at 3 A. M., drinking 10 cans of Sprite, listening to Megalovania on loop and threatening to throw Narancia out of the window because he interrupted him while he was playing
-His favourite moment during the Pacifist was cooking with Undyne
-He immediately questioned his life choices when he finished the route and saw Chara taking over Frisk's body. Closed the game and never opened it again
-Favourite characters: Papyrus, Sans and Undyne. He refuses to choose an absolute favorite
-Favourite OSTs: Megalovania and Song that might play when you fight Sans. He also likes Bonetroulse and Spear of justice
-What SOUL would he have: BRAVERY
NARANCIA:
-Narancia playing this game would be a total mess. Ironic, considering he's the one in the gang that likes video games the most
-Despite Toriel's guidance, at first, he would FIGHT every monster that got in his way, following the simple "It's an rpg, the more I kill, the better it is" logic
-When he saw the "but nobody came" screen, however, he freaked the hell out and immediately reset
-After that mini heart attack, he went on a full Pacifist route. However, sometimes, he would snap and accidentally kill a monster. He lost count of how many times he had to reload the file
-He also really likes Toriel (she's just very popular among the Bucci gang). The reason for it...Is not a very happy one, like in Giorno's case
-He genuinely tried to stay with her, he didn't want to leave Goat mom
-He's the one who gets emotionally invested in the game the most, he even forgets it's a game at times and just erase the surrounding world from his head
-He LOVES to voice the characters while he plays, it makes the story feel way more alive for him. He makes a very good Papyrus impression
-Speaking of which, his favourite parts of the game were the interactions between Sans and Papyrus.
-He lost his s**t when he arrived at the Temmie village. He stayed there FOR HOURS farming money. Heck, he even bought the Temmie armor
-He refused to open the game for two days after Flowey stole the SOULS
-He wanted to ask someone to play the TRUE lab with him, but he refused to admit that he was scared
-While he's not the kind of player who stops by to read every dialogue, he makes an exception for Snowdin. He really likes that area of the game!
-While he would never admit it, he cried three times during the Pacifist route. The first time when he left Toriel, the second when he heard Chara and Asriel's story, and the third when he finished it
-His favourite fight in the game is the one against Asriel. He kept on repeating the "Don't you have anything better to do" dialogue for 20 minutes, before giving up to the idea that there was really no way to save him
-After giving the monster an happy ending, he was overwhelmed by his own curiosity, and decided to try the Genocide route...Boy did it go wrong
-You thought he cried a lot during the Pacifist? He became a freaking fountain during the Genocide. Every single time he killed a Boss, he cried, with no exception
-He spent days trying to defeat Sans, until he was given the option to SPARE him, and so he did
-...The others could hear him yelling from the other floor after what happened next
-He got tired of Sans' bulls**ts, reset and did a Pacifist again
-He watched a gameplay to know what happened in the Genocide ending. Chara's jumpscare still haunts him
-Narancia gets really involved in the stuff made by the fandom, especially fan made songs and comics
-He listens to "To the bone" religiously, it's part of his routine
-He tried and failed to figure out how AUs work
-Favourite character: Papyrus, followed by Toriel and Asriel. He used to like Sans a lot too...But now he gets Vietnam flashbacks every time he thinks about him
-Favourite OSTs: Bonetroulse, Hopes and dreams and Snowdin. He can't choose between them
-What SOUL would he have: INTEGRITY
FUGO:
-Fugo would categorically refuse to reset on his first run. What it's done, it's done, and he has to take responsibilities for his choices
-He would do a Neutral, killing whoever he encounters, but without specifically looking for the monsters just so that he can kill them
-That doesn't mean, however, that he dislikes to play with the timeline. It's quite the opposite, to be honest
-Fugo enjoys messing around with the save files A LITTLE too much, dude basically became an hacker playing this game
-In his attempt to make a Pacifist run, he fu**ed up and accidentally got the Hacker ending
-"...THIS IS NOT WHAT I MEANT WHEN I SAID I WANTED EVERY ENDING"
-He toned it down a little after that, but he still managed to modify the FUN value enough to meet Gaster and his followers
-He's also the only one who unlocked Sans' room. He doesn't trust him, but he finds him an interesting character
-Neither the Pacifist or Genocide endings particularly picked his interest, even though he did punch the walls a couple of times fighting Sans
-He likes to try the different Neutral endings, he doesn't do all of them, just the ones he thinks that would affect the monsters the most
-The only character he got attached to emotionally was Alphys, he can see himself a lot in her
-He's very interested in the various theories that surround this game, and he's waiting for Deltarune to come out, he just wants to know more about Gaster
-Favourite character: Alphys, but Gaster is a close second
-Favourite OST: Darker, darker, yet darker, followed by Here we are, Waterfall and Premonition
What SOUL would he have: faded BRAVERY
ABBACCHIO:
-MERCY? Is that a food? Yeah uhm...No, that doesn't exist with Abbacchio, nothing but Genocide for him
-It's already a surprise someone convinced him to play this game. He'll play in his own way, and that means killing literally everyone, not simply the ones he encounters, but even looking for them just to earn more Exp
-He was...Weirdly satisfied when he saw the "But nobody came" screen, and he was lucky enough to find every monster almost immediately
-He hadn't found a single character that he liked until he reached Undyne. Her sense of justice reminded him of his old self, which wasn't exactly pleasant at first, but at least he felt something
-He was finally happy to see a monster actually trying to stop what he was doing, and killing her was the only thing in the game that made him slightly sad
-He's still offended for not having the chance to kill monster kid, he couldn't stand that child
-He skipped through pretty much every dialogue in the game, not that there are many people to interact with during the Genocide...
-He'd eat a piece of the snowman right in front of him just to spite him, then take the rest and leave
-He didn't care about whatever Flowey was trying to tell him about his past. That's also because without knowing he's Asriel, most of what he says doesn't really make sense
-In the moment Sans dodged his attack, he realized that he had screwed up REALLY bad. After dying against him a couple of times, he considered resetting, but he wouldn't have let "the lazy skelefu**" have it his way
-He let out a huge "YES" and a sigh of relief when he finally managed to hit him, it took him around a week
-However, little did he know, that the worst still had to come. When he noticed that he wasn't the one who had just killed Asgore and Flowey, he freaked out a little, and Chara staring directly at him made him feel a small shiver down his spine
-Still, he decided to decline their offer to destroy everything, not because he regretted what he had done, he just wanted his revenge on the child for scaring him
-He closed the game after the jumpscare, and never questioned what the hell he had been through
-Favourite character: Undyne
-Favourite OSTs: But nobody came and Battle against a true hero, he also likes The fallen child
-What SOUL would he have: very very faded JUSTICE
TRISH:
-Trish got into this game just because of its music, she kept on hearing it everywhere and wanted to understand where it came from
-She was kinda scared at first, videogames aren't exactly her forte, and her encounter with Flowey didn't help
-She slowly got used to the dynamics of the game, even though she died at least three times in every area, exept for the RUINS. (She only got a game over two times there)
-She doesn't have the heart to hurt anybody, she thinks the monsters (well...Most of them, at least) are adorable! Shyren is her favourite minor enemy, and when she saw the "Taking piano lessons again" text, her heart melted a little
-She refused to take off the faded ribbon until she found she tutu, but she never sold either of them
-She loves flirting with literally ANYONE. You can? Well then...You must!
-Her favourite area is Hotland, including the Core too. She loves the whole "artificial" theme of the place, and she had a lot of fun reading Alphys's posts!
-She would pretend to be an actual part of Mettaton's programmes, but only when she was 100% sure nobody could hear her
-Needless to say, the boss fight against him was one of the funniest parts of the story for her
-Another thing she absolutely adored were the dates with Papyrus and Alphys, especially the latter. After everything that had happened, it was a nice opportunity to relax for a bit
-Similar to Narancia, Trish gets really involved emotionally in playing the game, and she had to take a little break from it before facing Asgore
-The ending genuinely made her cry, but it was the only time she shed a tear through it
-She doesn't care about trying the Genocide, she's worked hard to give the monsters an happy ending, and she wasn't going to throw it away
-She's in love with the Undertale Musical by Man on the Internet, she knows pretty much every song by memory
-Favourite character: Mettaton, but she honestly really likes all of them
-Favourite OST: Death by glamour, followed by Metal crusher, Power of NEO, and Another medium
-What SOUL would she have: INTEGRITY
Yes, I know that Narancia's part is longer, but it's just so funny to write about this baby, bear with me please 😌

Rrrrrrgh Chapter 18 rrrrgh
I had to re-insert EVERY GODDAMN LINE BREAK ARGH it also took out all the italics. I’ll get those in a minute ;_;
(Watch out for arachnophobia, angst, aaaaand smut~~)
For the eighth or ninth time, Frisk wished she had just said no. But she hadn’t, and she couldn’t back out now, so she kept walking, arms stiff at her sides.
At least she was almost there: she could hear rustling in the dark up ahead, and faintly musical sounds, like someone twanging a piano wire. Suddenly, her heel stuck on something, her shoe nearly coming off; the next moment, something else tickled her cheek. When she tried to brush it away, it wouldn’t come off her fingers. In the dim light, it looked like…a spiderweb?
There was a high-pitched giggle overhead, and more webbing dropped onto her shoulders. The child was yanked off her feet, pulled straight up until she slammed to a teeth-rattling stop in midair. Heart pounding, head spinning, Frisk tried to tug herself loose, but it was no use: she was caught in the bouncy, gluey strands of…
…a really, really big spiderweb. And where there was a really big spiderweb—
           “Ahuhuhu~”
Frisk turned her head as far as she could, and uttered a raspy sound as her gaze met five huge, mirror-shiny black eyes. It was a spider monster in frilly bloomers, ribbons, and pigtails—surprisingly cute, except for its fangs. “My! Whatever do we have here?” The giant spider leaned in closer, and Frisk watched in fascination as her reflection flickered in time with the monster’s blinks. “What brings a bite-sized human like you to my parlor?”
The child couldn’t tear her eyes away from the spider monster’s eerie, fluid movements. It was balancing on the web, brushing crumbs off its sleeve, and dipping a pastry into a cup of tea it’d just poured for itself, all at once! “A-Are you Muffet?” she squeaked.
The spider smirked, nibbling daintily on her pastry. “That’s me, dearie. Did someone send you to find me?” Her face creased into a scowl. “If that skeleton told you it would be funny to disturb us, I swear I’ll—”
Something chittered, and Frisk couldn’t help squirming. Muffet gasped as a tiny shape emerged from the child’s collar. “Alphonse? Oh my goodness me! How did you get here?!”
Frisk shut her eyes tight as the little spider crawled the rest of the way out of her shirt, followed by another, and a few more, and then what seemed like a thousand others. She could feel a tickly procession streaming up her neck and along her arms onto the web, where they swarmed around Muffet, making rapid clicking sounds.
“They gave me a piece of paper asking for help,” the human explained, though the spiders were probably saying the same thing. “They were tired of the Ruins, but Snowdin is too cold, and it’s too expensive to get a heated carriage, so I gave some of them a ride to Hotland.”
All five of Muffet’s eyes sparkled, and she clasped two legs in pure joy. “Oh, what a sweet little morsel you are! You’ve saved us thousands of g, just like that!” Frisk heard more chittering, and found herself being eased free of the webbing and lowered gently until she was back on the sticky floor. “I’m so sorry if I frightened you, dearie—most humans have a nasty habit of squishing spiders, but I didn’t know how very kind you were toward us!”
“You’re welcome,” Frisk said, trying to pick the webbing out of her hair. The grownups had chopped almost all of it off before they left the castle; she’d hate for them to cut the webs out and make it look even worse. “My name is Kris. It’s nice to meet you.”
The spider-lady was ignoring her, listening to what sounded like dozens of little voices at once. She didn’t have eyebrows, but her upper three eyes wiggled in almost the same way. “Really, now?” She regarded Frisk with new interest. “You wouldn’t happen to be ten years old, would you, dearie?”
Where had that come from? None of the other monsters had asked her age. “Um…yes? I don’t know my real birthday, just the year.”
The spiders must have understood her, because the noise increased, and Muffet tittered louder than ever. “How interesting~”
“Why?” the child couldn’t help asking.
“Ohhh, nothing, just a bit of gossip.” Muffet hopped onto a higher strand of webbing, crossing a pair of legs and pouring herself more tea. “Would you like something to eat?” She indicated a table with a pile of iced cakes and a sign reading 9,999 G. “No charge, just for you.”
Was that a spider leg sticking out of the frosting? “I’m full, thank you,” Frisk lied.
“Suit yourself, dearie.” For someone without any lips, the monster could slurp her tea quite loudly. “The spider clans don’t communicate with each other nearly as often as we should, but when someone manages to get here from the Ruins, they tell the most fascinating stories. Like the humans’ last visit here, eleven years ago—did you know that your King came with them? Supposedly, it was a group of minor nobles discussing repairs to the border fence, but no one notices spiders – except you, of course – and they hear all sorts of things behind closed doors~”
The child frowned. “The King was here?” She didn’t think he’d ever been to the Underground; she’d just been glad he hadn’t come on this trip, though she was sorry the Queen was sick. It would’ve been so nerve-wracking to have to behave around him!
“He certainly was.” Muffet licked a drop of tea from the fine hairs on her forelimb. “Yes, the King paid us a secret visit, and poor Chara was never the same afterwards. There was quite a commotion, you know, after he’d been gone a little while. They had to take her all the way to the Ruins so no one would hear her s—”
There was a familiar chuckle behind Frisk. “ahh, muffet. putting the spy in ‘spider,’ huh?” Sans held out his hand, and Frisk gladly took it. “yeah, i dunno what she’s talking about, either. c’mon, kiddo, you shouldn’t be here. time to have a ferry good ride back.”
“On the contrary,” Muffet said haughtily, “this wonderful child is welcome in my parlor any time. I would love to have her over for lunch!” Two sets of arms clapped their hands. “Go on home, dearie. Come and see me again sometime soon.”
“man. you got a knack for making friends, ya know that?” Sans remarked as they stepped around the webs lining the floor. “i didn’t think she liked anyone who wasn’t rich, or fattening.”
Frisk didn’t answer. The corridor had just enough bare, echoing surfaces for her to hear the last of Muffet’s conversation. “Not a word to anyone,” the spider was telling her family, or minions, or whatever they were. “I—what? …Why, yes, he would pay for that information. What a splendid idea! We could even give him a discount! Those glasses are so cute~”
Frisk and Sans looked at each other, shrugged, and moved along to thinking up spider puns to unleash on Pap. It didn’t occur to Frisk until much later that Muffet had said “her”—the smaller ones hadn’t gotten that far under her clothes, had they?
Ah, well. She figured spiders must not know much about human pronouns, and they probably said strange, random things to everyone. It was nothing to worry about.
Many years later, Frisk would remember that and wish she could smack her younger self upside the head. Not only was it racist, it was very incorrect, not to mention ungrateful. Spiders knew damn well what pronouns were, and nothing Muffet had said to her was random. She hadn’t even charged her for it…
 ~
The hotel attached to Mettaton’s resort was unbelievably crowded that evening, the air warm and full of amazing smells. Sans had materialized by the fountain in the lobby, figuring it was long enough after dinnertime that there wouldn’t be too many people around. This turned out to be hilariously wrong: the line was still two or three deep at the food counter, the queue winding up and down the room and ending nearly out the doors. There wasn’t enough space for one boss monster to just appear out of nowhere, much less two, but here they were.
“My. Do you think they’ve gotten a room?” Toriel asked dubiously, releasing his arm and nodding to the monsters scrambling out of their way. “Should we check with the front desk?”
Sans glanced around, then relaxed and let his SOUL point him in a direction, like giving a hunting dog a scent to follow. Sure enough, his feet started toward the restaurant on the left side of the resort. “This way,” he grunted.
Luckily, at their size, they didn’t have much trouble getting through the crowd. Nor did they have to say anything to the restaurant’s maître d’: he took one look, bowed so deeply that he almost fell over, and walked ahead of them to harass the seated monsters out of their way.
They soon reached the far end of the room, where Frisk was holding court at a small table with Alphys, Undyne, Mettaton, and a few others. To Sans’ delight, she had perched on the back of a heavy chair, confidently projecting her voice over the other diners. “So I finished the introduction, she came out onstage, and what did she do? She froze right there in front of everyone,” the human said, gesturing with her champagne glass.
This got quite a reaction. “Oh, please,” Mettaton said with a groan.
“Ha!” Undyne thumped the table. “Served her right! What’d you do?”
“I peeked out from behind the curtain, and I looked at her, and I went—” Frisk closed one eye and opened the other as wide as possible, flashing a demented smile, and the monsters cracked up. “She almost started laughing, and it was perfect, because that was where the Queen was bragging about how much everyone loved her!”
“Good evening, everyone,” said Toriel, walking ahead of Sans to join the others. “Forgive me, but, what was this?”
Cries of welcome rang out. “Good evening, Lady Toriel! I was telling them about my friend Mathilda,” explained Frisk.
Standing on the periphery, Sans drank in the sight of his human seated among the monsters, looking adorably tiny by comparison, but completely at home. She was more animated than he’d ever seen her at the castle, her eyes bright and hands in constant motion as she talked. It was everything they’d both hoped for when they came here.
And speaking of drinks, he also had to note all the open bottles of wine and other adult beverages around the table. He remembered ordering several crates of them, but he’d assumed they would be consumed at a slower rate than this; monsters couldn’t handle alcohol as well as most humans. Come to think of it, neither could Frisk.
Mettaton had gotten up to greet Toriel, and was bowing her into his seat; Sans was impressed with his manners until the automaton turned and shooed Alphys out of her chair so he could take it.
Justice came swiftly: Undyne waited for Mettaton to get comfortable, then kicked him under the table hard enough to make a metallic clang. “Never mind him. Here,” she said to Alphys, holding her arm out and patting her lap.
Toriel cleared her throat, and the scientist turned about five shades of reddish-orange. Practical as ever, Undyne got up to grab a chair from another table instead, ignoring its irate former occupant and cramming it between her seat and Frisk’s. “Ta-da!”
When Alphys was happily settled, Toriel gave the automaton and the Royal Guard Captain reproachful glances. “Your friend Mathilda?” she prompted.
Frisk smiled. “Yes, from St. Brigid’s. She wanted me to narrate the part of the spring pageant where she was playing the Queen—have you heard of The Sun Cycle?”
Toriel accepted a glass of red wine from the waiter. “The allegory about the two sisters? Of course. Did Mathilda have a case of stage fright?”
“Right after she spent ten minutes straight telling me not to be shy.” Frisk made another face. “I teased her about that for years.”
Toriel chuckled. “And rightfully so.”
Sans was busy staring at Frisk when she suddenly looked straight at him. “Sans?” He jumped, then scowled self-consciously as she shifted her weight. “I hate to make you stand there—is there anywhere he can sit?” she asked the group.
There was a general murmur and scooting-out to make room, but Sans waved his hand. “Nah, don’t worry about it. ‘s what I get fer bein’ late to the party,” he muttered.
The priestess frowned a little. “Well, if you’re sure…” She indicated a green jug on the table. “You wanted to try some hard cider, didn’t you? Now’s your chance.”
“’m fine,” he said gruffly, and she gave him a short nod before Mettaton reclaimed her attention with a question about human seating etiquette.
Sans wanted to smack himself on the cranium. Typical Frisk: she was mad at him, but still didn’t want him be to left out. Well, neither did he! It physically hurt to keep himself from going over and petting her hair, tucking that one bit behind her ear, asking how she was feeling…
Yeah, this whole staying-apart thing wasn’t fucking working. If he couldn’t have some time alone with her soon, he was going to throw her over his shoulder and teleport them both far, far away, which would probably look a little suspicious. What would it take to—
Alphys coughed. “S-So did the rest of the pageant go all right?”
Frisk sipped her champagne. “Oh, yes. I’ve always loved that story, and I didn’t have to be onstage, so I—” She paused and held the empty glass out, and another waiter swooped in to refill it. “Thank you.” Sip. “It was wonderful. We had a five-piece orchestra playing along, and the Queen’s song, ‘Daylight’s Lament,’ actually brought people to tears.”
Sans wasn’t thinking very straight, or else he would known better than to say, “Is that the mopey thing you’re always singin’?”
Everyone turned toward him, and he shrank back at the priestess’ expression. “Are you a musician, Frisk?” Toriel asked around her refilled wineglass.
“Yes, I was in the choir at school,” the human said, giving Sans a significant look. “The Sun Cycle had just been adapted into a musical, and we all nagged our teachers until they let us perform it.” She grinned ruefully. “It was the best political training I’ve ever had. If you want to delve into the darkest side of human nature, just tell a group of teenage girls that only one of them gets to play the Queen.”
They all laughed, though no one disagreed. “And Mathilda got it?” Sans asked, just to contribute.
“Yes, she did,” Frisk replied. Her feet swung back and forth a few times, drawing his attention again. “She tends to get what she wants.”
Trying to distract himself, Sans remembered something and asked, “Isn’t she the one who’s gonna replace you?” They looked at him in surprise, and he added, “Y’know, if you ever decide ta quit?”
That earned him another glare. “Yes, if I ever do. The only reason I became High Priestess and not her was that my magic was stronger. Otherwise, she’d have been perfect.”
“Now, now. I would think—no, I know that you’re doing an excellent job,” Toriel said warmly, and the priestess ducked her head.
“Wait a sec.” Undyne banged her mug on the table, startling Alphys. “Didn’t you say somebody tried to kill you ‘cause you’re the High Priestess? Aren’t you worried someone’ll come after her, too?”
“Well…not really.” Frisk made a complicated gesture. “It may sound cold, but you’ve never met Mathilda. She doesn’t have time to be assassinated. If the Church didn’t pay for a half-dozen guards everywhere she went, she’d just hire them herself and go about her day.”
“Nice,” said Undyne, but despite Frisk’s light tone, Sans wasn’t so sure about the way she was frowning into her champagne glass. Did she feel guilty for being so cavalier about her friend’s safety?
…No, that wasn’t it. He had a sudden attack of insight: Frisk wasn’t only in danger because she was the High Priestess; she was also in the way of people who profited off monsters. Did Mathilda have different views on the subject – maybe more safe or conventional ones – that would keep her from being targeted?
What about the person who had paid to keep Frisk safe? He still had to tell her about that, too, assuming he ever got the fucking chance!
That was enough of that topic. What else could they talk about? “How’d it go in the lab today, Al?” he asked.
This time, they all looked at him as though he’d thrown dog turds onto the table, and a couple of the other monsters actually got up and left. His stupid, tired, frustrated mind took a second to catch up: everyone knew that Alphys had been testing Frisk’s magic, and as much as they liked and hopefully trusted the human by now, they didn’t want to hear about her barriers.
“Um…” Alphys fidgeted with her mug of spiced cider. “You were r-right. I couldn’t even quantify how much f-force she could potentially withstand. It’s honestly still hard to believe.”
“Yeah, it turns out she’s even better than we thought,” Undyne said defiantly, and raised her mug. “Toast: to Frisk being on our side!”
Frisk raised her glass in reply, downing the rest of the champagne in one gulp, and everyone with a drink quickly followed suit. As the waiter came back for more refills, Sans nodded his thanks to Undyne; she stared at him, then drew her thumb across her throat to indicate that he was dead. He shrugged, agreeing that that was fair.
Alphys fidgeted again. “Actually, Sans, I’d like to t-talk to you about that sometime soon. Alone, m-maybe?”
The skeleton blinked. “Uh…okay.” Now that a few chairs were empty across from Frisk, he walked over to shove them aside and sit down on the floor, putting his eye level only a foot or two below the others. Why would Alphys need to talk to him alone? If she wanted more data, why not include Frisk? He’d have to find out later.
Undyne scowled, half-turning to drape her arm over Alphys’ shoulders; the lizard monster turned a few more colors, then leaned into her. Good for them, thought Sans, with only a twinge of jealousy. “I remember when I was a kid and I used to snoop around in my parents’ room,” Undyne continued. “My mom got fed up and told me there was a human hiding in her closet. Not only did I stop sneaking in there, I’d run past their door to get to my room!”
Sans forced himself to join in the laughter. “Poor Pap,” he remarked. “When he was a kid, I got him that pirate bed, and he wouldn’t stop jumpin’ on it in the middle of the night. I didn’t wanna take it away, so I said there was a human under it ‘n Pap was gonna wake him up.”
“Sans,” Frisk scolded him, but she was smiling now.
“It’s true,” he said gleefully. “The next night, I found him makin’ a decoy to throw into bed so he could go hide in the closet.”
Undyne guffawed, and Toriel shook her head, though she was also smiling. “That poor child! Tell me he isn’t still sleeping in the closet, Sans!”
“He’s not. I made a big deal about talkin’ with the librarian and finding out humans are scared of books about Fluffy Bunny. We read one every night from then on, and whaddya know? The human never got ‘im,” the skeleton said proudly.
They laughed again, and the last of the tension dissipated. “Speakin’ of Papyrus, where is he?” Sans asked, feeling guilty for not noticing sooner. “Hope I didn’t miss ‘im on his way home.”
Mettaton couldn’t drink, so he had spent most of the conversation checking his face paint; he sighed theatrically, putting the mirror away in his chest compartment. “He got drunk already, the poor dear. I sent him upstairs to sleep it off.”
Sans didn’t have to fake a grin. “Makes sense. It only takes half a mudslide to get him started tellin’ everyone how bad my jokes are, and tellin’ the jokes ta prove it, and then gettin’ mad that he knows all my jokes by heart.”
“A ‘mudslide’?” Frisk repeated.
“Yep. ’s one of Grillby’s finest cocktails: magic ‘n mud.”
The human looked puzzled. “By ‘mud,’ you mean…?”
“Wet dirt,” Sans clarified.
“…You…drink…?” Frisk couldn’t bring herself to finish the sentence. “What does that even taste like?”
Pause. “Mud.”
More laughter. Frisk’s nose was wrinkled, but she was still smiling; that was enough for Sans.
He didn’t want to ruin the mood by saying something else stupid, so he nodded to her and turned to survey the now-half-empty room. It must have been pretty late, because the maître d’ wasn’t letting anyone else in. The nearest table had just one person, and—
It was sitting there, out of nowhere, legs dangling over the side of the table. The demon-child locked eyes with Sans, hands resting on the knife in its lap, and it grinned.
Sans stared back at it, paralyzed. Through the fog of shock and terror, there arose a single thought: Are you fucking serious?! I don’t need this right now!
The thing shook its head. It looked meaningfully at their table – at Frisk – and back at him. It raised the kitchen knife, pointing at the side of its own head, and made a circling motion.
Sans managed to twitch with sheer rage as he recognized that childish gesture. The little bastard had come all the way here to tell him Frisk was crazy?
Its grin faded into a faint, superior smile. It lowered the knife and tapped on its sternum three times. Then it shifted around to face the human; to Sans’ bewilderment, it sat cross-legged and leaned forward on its elbows, ruby eyes glued to Frisk, as if waiting for a play to begin.
What was it doing? …Why was it doing? He had the feeling that it genuinely wasn’t interested in him for the moment. What did it think Frisk was going to—
“Sans?” Her voice snapped him out of it; the skeleton found he could move again. “What’s the matter?”
“Uh…” He looked at her, then back at the demon. It was gone now, of course. “Nothin’.” He glanced back and forth a couple of times just to be sure. What the hell was that about? The thing wanted to tell him that Frisk was nuts and Sans should check her SOUL? But…
Sans shook himself, turning to size up the room. Everyone was slightly to moderately tipsy, but relaxed, probably ready to call it a night soon. There was absolutely no sign of danger anywhere; even if there was, Sans couldn’t imagine a threat too big for him, Toriel, Undyne, and Frisk.
To hell with that thing. He wasn’t going to ogle her SOUL for no reason in front of everyone; somebody would notice and give him crap for it, she’d get embarrassed, and he’d have yet another thing to make up to her.
Toriel took a bottle of wine directly from a passing waiter and poured herself another glass. “Where are you staying tonight, my child?”
The human brushed her hair behind her ear. Sans glanced at her, and his spine stiffened: she was looking right at him, her finger tracing the edge of her choker. “My things are still at Sans and Papyrus’ house, so I was planning to stay in Snowdin tonight at the inn.”
The skeleton tried to hide his sudden jubilation. She was telling him she’d have her own room, which meant some damn privacy at last! He’d have a chance to tell her things and apologize for being stupid about the chessboard, and then…choker, and—
“Whaaat? You have an entire new wardrobe upstairs, and you want to go all the way back to that smelly wasteland?” Mettaton complained. Sans gritted his teeth as the automaton reached over to play with Frisk’s hair, sweeping it up with one gloved hand. “You know, darling, if you’d let me put this up for you, it wouldn’t keep getting in your way. Why don’t you stay here another night so we can figure it out?”
“I’ll be fine, thank you,” Frisk said tartly, pushing his arm away.
           Mettaton pouted. “But what about—”
“She said no, dipshit,” Sans snarled. “Not everyone has time to play dress-up.”
“Oh?” drawled the automaton. He sized up the giant skeleton and flashed a literally pearly-white smile. “I see. Well, if she absolutely must stop in at your hovel, be sure she has everything she needs. You know, her clothes, a few midnight snacks…plenty of socks?”
Undyne and Alphys nearly spat their drinks across the table. Sans twitched as though he’d been poked in the SOUL—which, in a way, he had. “Ya wanna die, ya friggin’ piece of—”
“Be nice, children,” Toriel mumbled. She covered her mouth for a massive yawn, nearly dropping her wineglass. “Speaking of wardrobes, Frisk, I had enough time after my nap this afternoon to go through Chara’s old clothes. I found several things that should fit you. Why don’t you stay over another night so we can try them on?”
The human’s face was still red. “No, thank you, Lady Toriel,” Frisk said over the faintest murmur of “Socks” and barely-suppressed snickering.
The former Queen sighed, too far gone in memory – and alcohol – to notice. “It would be so cute to see you in those dresses,” she murmured. “We can hem them up if we need to. You’re about the same size she was at…goodness, fourteen or fifteen!”
“Yes, childhood malnutrition will do that.” Frisk accepted yet another refill from yet another waiter. “My mother took no care of me.”
“You poor thing.” Toriel shook her head. “How I wish you could have stayed and grown up here! We would never have neglected you like that.”
Undyne sighed, propping her head on one fist. “Yeah, that would’ve been amazing.”
Mettaton also sighed, lacing his fingers together and resting his head on them. “For once, darling, we agree. She should know at least five times as many dances as I’ve taught her.”
Toriel hiccuped. Sans had always heard that drunk people did that, but never seen it for himself. “And she could’ve sang for us, too. My poor little angel—such a wonderful child!”
Frisk smiled, until Toriel went on, “Yes, I’ll always miss Chara. Did you ever get to meet her, Frisk?”
No answer. Sans’ backbone prickled; he checked the other table, but the demon wasn’t there. He glanced at Frisk, and to his alarm, she was almost literally vibrating with tension.
Alphys was also squinting at the human, as if checking her. Whatever she saw made her eyes go wide, and she signaled frantically at Sans. “So, Frisk,” he said, too loud.
She looked up, startled. “Uh,” he said. Crap. Now he had everyone’s attention, and he had to say more words. This time, though, he made himself think first, settling on a topic so safe and dull that nothing bad could possibly come of it. “I just remembered—when I was passin’ stuff out with the Royal Guard earlier, we found a couple small discrepancies in the list,” he said casually. “I made some notes about it. Can you and Tori take a look real quick?”
“Of course. I’m sure it’s fine, though,” Frisk said, giving him another smile. Then, as he started to reach into his coat for the invoices…
It was the tiniest movement, and he just barely caught it. She took too large a drink and slopped champagne onto the corner of her mouth, which she chose to lick off slowly, eyes on his.
Sans would think of that moment and berate himself for years afterward. For one thing, he didn’t know or care how openly he was staring at her, or who was watching; more importantly, his hand kept moving while the rest of his mind did a belly-flop into a mire of absolute lust, all his resources suddenly diverted to socks and lace chokers and that cute little mouth…desperation to run his hands all over her again and find out if she still had that weird blood thing going, what her exact criteria were for it being the right time to—
Left to manage on its own, his hand knew only that it was supposed to get something for her out of his pocket. It encountered the papery thing he needed, and then another thing it knew was for her, and dutifully pulled both things out. He didn’t have enough concentration to use magic and send the invoices directly to her, so he tossed them onto the table with a solid thmp. “Pass that t’ Frisk, wouldja?” his mouth said.
A couple shreds of conscious thought worked themselves free, wondering why the papers had gone thmp. Paper wasn’t supposed to go thmp. What had he…
Oh. It was the heavy golden envelope, the one with the King’s letter for her.
           On the table.
…With her full name on the front.
Right by Undyne, who was reaching to pick it up, just like he’d asked.
Time slowed to a crawl. Icy dread swept over him, and he raised his hand, knowing it was too late—Undyne had handed over the invoices and was already saying, “Heyyy, what’s this, boss?” Before he could stand up or regroup his magic, the Royal Guard Captain flipped the envelope around to read the calligraphy. “Fancy! Is it a love letter for—”
She stopped. Sans’ SOUL shrank to nothing as the fish monster’s brows drew together. “Hey. Your Majesty?” she asked, raising her voice.
Toriel finished her drink, trying to set her glass down and missing the table entirely. “Yes, Captain?”
Undyne gave a puzzled half-smile. “Did you adopt Frisk or something?”
Frisk looked up from the invoices. The goat monster glanced at her, then chuckled. “Why, no, not that I’m aware of.” Toriel was smiling, too, clearly waiting for a punchline.
Sans snatched at the envelope with a burst of red magic and shoved it into his pocket. “Hey, Frisk! Guess what? Time ta go!”
Frisk started, and had to catch herself before she fell off the chair. “What? Why do—”
“Then how come she has your last name?” asked Undyne.
Silence. Toriel and Undyne were awkwardly smiling, each waiting for the other to speak and growing more confused as the seconds ticked by.
Alphys frowned, then peered at Frisk, who was staring at the panicky skeleton. “Sans,” the human said softly. “What is she talking about?”
Sans was still sitting on the floor, and couldn’t get up; he felt sick as Frisk stepped down from her perch and came over to him. “What do you have there?” she asked, even softer.
His hand moved on its own again to pull out the envelope. “’s a letter,” he mumbled. “I was gonna give this to ya later, when we talked about—”
Frisk snatched the envelope and turned it over. He forced his sockets to stay open as her face went pale, then stark white. Slowly, her head lifted until their eyes met. “I didn’t mean ta get it out yet,” he said helplessly. “It was an accident. I’m—”
“Where did you get this?” she asked carefully. “When did you get this?”
“Yesterday. From…from Dr. Serif. He met me in the village to help get all the stuff ready, and the King gave it to ‘im ‘cause he thought you’d be—”
“This is from my father?” Frisk stared at the dark-gold calligraphy, then at him. Sans just stared back, letting his silence speak for itself.
Alphys squinted one more time at Frisk’s chest. Then she bolted from her seat, skittered around the table to Mettaton, and latched onto his arm. “You need to get everyone out of here! Right now!” she hissed.
The automaton quirked a lacquered eyebrow at her. “Are you joking? This is the most—”
           “I said now!”
Toriel and Undyne watched Mettaton scramble out of his chair, leap straight into the middle of the room, and strike a pose. “Hello, beauties!” he called to the remaining twenty or so diners, giving Alphys a nervous glance. “This is your lucky night! We’re going to have a scavenger hunt, and the prize is me—one candlelit dinner with yours truly! Follow me to Paradise!”
Alphys breathed a sigh of relief as the monsters trooped out, dragging the waiters and the protesting maître d’ with them, and the doors slammed shut. The royal scientist gestured to Toriel, then Undyne, who had come around to their side of the table. “We should leave, too,” Alphys said urgently.
“What?” The goat monster frowned at her, and at Frisk, whose shoulders had hunched. “Are you all right, my chi—”
“Yes!” They jumped as Frisk whipped around, clutching the envelope to her breast, giving them a dreadful smile. “Yes. Yes, I…I’m fine. I just need to—” She gulped. “Never mind. I have to talk to Sans.” She held her hand out. “Let’s go.” He didn’t move, and she said desperately, “Now? Please?”
A tiny quiver of fear ran through him, and not just because he, personally, was in an absolute world of shit. He could feel the air around Frisk grow heavier, and for the first time in a long time, his instincts were urging him to back away. Her magic was building rapidly, as if she was getting a barrier ready, but she wasn’t doing it on purpose. What did she—
Oh, crap. Not only were they Underground, where magic was naturally stronger than above, she was already at least a little drunk, and tired, and…well, “upset” would not begin to cover the fallout of his slip-up. Was Alphys worried something would happen? But…
Just to be sure, Sans took a long look at Frisk’s SOUL. For a second, he thought something was wrong with his vision, or he was just out of practice; then he realized that, for once, he was not the problem.
Her SOUL was a goddamn mess. It shone as bright and beautifully red as when he’d first seen it, but where it had been rock-solid with determination, it now looked more like a snowglobe that kept getting shaken up before the glitter had a chance to settle. Magic was seeping through her skin and beginning to tint the air around her, and if she was aware of it, she wasn’t even trying to control it.
Fuck. Alphys had been smart enough to keep an eye on Frisk’s SOUL when she started getting agitated about Chara—had the scientist noticed some instability when she was testing the human’s magic? Either way, she’d been scared enough to have Mettaton clear the room.
But it wasn’t as if the monsters should be scared of Frisk, was it? Sure, she seemed pretty volatile right now, but she was still Frisk! She would never hurt anyone! At least, not on purpose…
Sans couldn’t help glancing at the other table. Sure enough, the demon-child was back, grinning and clapping its hands in sheer delight. “Told you so,” it said gaily.
Undyne coughed. “Uh…Frisk? Why’d your dad call you that?”
Frisk gestured one more time, and Sans made himself look at her hand with a grim, apologetic shake of his head. His SOUL wanted to tear loose and go hide at the way her face contorted. “You’ve gotta calm down, kid,” he said quietly. He didn’t know how to explain in front of everyone that her magic was too thick for him to teleport her anywhere without touching her, and doing so right now would singe him down to the bone—probably straight through it. “Please,” he added.
The priestess let her hand drop. She closed her eyes in resignation, pinching the bridge of her nose. “He called me that because I’m illegitimate, and I have to use my mother’s name.”
Pause. Sans shuffled back a little as Frisk’s eyes opened again, taking in the monsters’ blank faces. “Oh, for God’s sake! Do I need to spell it out for you?” She brandished the envelope at them: FRISK DREEMURR. “That was Chara’s last name, and she was my mother!”
The world stopped for a moment. Sans watched Toriel, breathless, painfully aware that her reaction was the one that really mattered. If she took Frisk seriously, then the priestess could probably recover her equilibrium and work through some of her feelings. If she didn’t—
Toriel was frowning in bewilderment. Then…she started to smile, and Sans’ SOUL shrieked in panic: Nonono, don’t do it, don’t—
The former Queen gave a polite little laugh. “I’m…sorry, my child, but…there must be some mistake.”
The air crackled, not loud enough yet for the others to hear. Frisk gripped the letter harder, still holding it at arm’s length. “Why do you say that?” she asked, too calm.
“Well…” Oh, crap. Now Undyne was smiling, too, only stopping when Alphys yanked on her sleeve. “Sorry,” the Captain said, “but c’mon. Chara never even had any kids!”
“Yeah, she did,” said Sans, and the women looked at him in astonishment. Frisk’s arm fell to her side as he continued, “The humans who visited ‘bout twenty-four years ago had their King with ‘em, and he knocked her up. She hid it till the last second, ‘n then she gave birth in the Ruins so no one would see anything.” He glanced at Toriel. “Right?”
It was hard to say who was the most shocked. “I thought Chara had me after she left the Underground! You mean I was born here?” demanded Frisk.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me!” barked Undyne. She looked at Toriel, whose eyes were huge, hands pressed to her mouth. “I-I mean—” The fish monster turned to Alphys. “Don’t humans get really big and weird when they’re pregnant? Wouldn’t we have noticed something?”
“Not n-necessarily,” Alphys said, fiddling with her claws faster than ever. “It depends on the individual, and how the baby d-develops. Besides, it’s not as if we had other humans to compare her with. She could’ve just w-worn thick clothes and stayed out of sight.”
“Huh.” Undyne stared at the floor. “Now that you mention it, she did spend a few months cooped up in the house before she left. But—”
“Where did you hear this, Sans?” None of them had ever heard Toriel sound like that, her gentle voice lowered to an almost bestial snarl. “Who told you?”
Sans grimaced. “You guys cleared everyone out of the Ruins, but you didn’t get all the spiders. They saw what happened, an’ they heard her tell you who the dad was.”
Toriel’s mouth fell open. “Spiders?”
“Yep. Some of ‘em made it over to Hotland while Kris was here, and they told Muffet, an’ she wound up sellin’ the story to Grillby. I don’t think he ever told anyone else. He just likes knowin’ stuff.” The skeleton scratched the back of his skull. “When I asked him ‘bout Chara the other day, he told me everything. I just never got a friggin’ chance to talk to Frisk about it.”
Another long pause. Was it his imagination, or was the air getting hotter? The priestess was only a few feet away, and though he didn’t have the courage to look at her again, that side of his body was tingling very unpleasantly.
Toriel’s face had hardened, her arms folded at the waist. “Be that as it may, it proves absolutely no connection between her and Chara.”
God damn it. “No, they didn’t know for a fact that Frisk was her kid. But her age matched up, and a bunch of the spiders who rode with her were right next to her SOUL for a few hours. They said she had a buttload of magic, and it smelled like the Underground—way more than any human’s should.”
“It would explain how she’s so powerful,” mused Alphys. “With the capability to use magic from her f-father’s side, and being c-conceived and gestated here, she probably started accruing it before she was even born. She’s already proven that she can convert a monster’s power for herself, so…”
“Holy shit,” whispered Undyne. “So Chara really did have a kid?”
“Yes, she did,” the former Queen said tightly. “We just thought she was ill and shutting herself away for a while. She didn’t tell us how Stephin had betrayed our hospitality until she was nearly in labor, and she begged us not to tell any of the other monsters.” Toriel was gripping her own sleeves hard enough to puncture the fabric. “We gave her two months to recover, and then Asgore sent them both to Stephin. The baby wasn’t very strong, but Asgore was afraid that if we kept her here, Stephin would think we were holding his child hostage.”
No one answered, and Toriel swallowed hard. “A few weeks later, Chara returned to us in agony. Stephin had just become engaged to another woman, and he refused to break it off. The baby had become sick after leaving the Underground, and when Chara started preparing for the journey back here, she…the child didn’t make it home.” The former Queen wiped her eyes with the side of her hand. “I am sorry, Frisk, but there is no way you could be—”
“Yes, there is,” Frisk said, sounding oddly detached. “Chara lied to you. I didn’t die—she left me with a wet nurse and paid her to be my foster mother.”
Sans wanted to dive out of the way as Toriel took a step toward the human, Undyne and Alphys also shrinking back. “You mean to tell me,” the goat monster said, deathly quiet, “that my daughter knowingly abandoned her child and deceived her family?”
“Yes. She did.” Frisk was standing firm, but the monsters could see the haze coming off her like a golden mist; Sans traded looks with Undyne, who pulled Alphys closer. “If you really think it’s impossible for me to be Chara’s daughter, why did you ask my exact age?” the human demanded. “Why did you want to know how old I was when I first visited, and why did Asgore ask Sans the very same thing? You knew Chara had had a baby girl ten years before the delegation arrived, and then you found out Kris was a girl. Were you wondering if I was actually—”
“No!” They flinched at Toriel’s sheer vehemence. She gritted her teeth, trying to control her temper. “It was all Asgore’s fault. When Chara returned to us, he had the temerity to accuse her of lying about her child’s death. He told her she was not welcome unless she brought the baby back with her! Of course we didn’t see her again for ten years!” Smoke drifted from between her fingers as she wiped her eyes again. “I still don’t know how he could have done something so cruel, or how he told you about it, but my only regret is that I ever considered the possibility for a single second! I know you are both wrong!”
Frisk’s eyes narrowed, and Sans jumped as a golden spark flew in his direction. He quashed the reflex to teleport to safety and stood up, only for Frisk to look around him, as though he wasn’t there. “I haven’t spoken to Asgore since I was a child. He has nothing to do with this conversation,” she snapped. “Do you know who first told me Chara was my mother?”
Toriel tried to give her a tolerant smile. “No, child. Who first told you?”
“Asriel.” Before the goat monster could react, Frisk pressed on, “He put the pieces together after he saw me make a barrier by accident. He knew that that ability ran in the royal family, and the King had fathered Chara’s child, so he asked her if it could be me. Chara got him to bring me to her, and he told me who I really was.” The envelope trembled in her hands. “He told me I’d come home.”
Toriel’s eyes widened again. She started to speak, but Frisk raised her voice: “Chara said my nurse had told her I’d died, and she apologized to me for how she acted whenever she visited the orphanage or the castle kitchens.” The human’s face had the hard, bitter expression Sans recognized from the time she’d caught him trying to escape. “She was so sweet to all the other children, and then she looked at me like I was some kind of diseased rat! She said it was because I reminded her of her little girl and it made her sad, and she didn’t know it was actually me!”
“There!” Toriel exclaimed. “You see? The nurse wanted to hide the King’s child for her own gain, and—”
“Chara knew who I was all along!” bellowed Frisk, and it was the goat monster’s turn to step back. “She knew damn well that I was alive! Why else would she pay my foster mother a hundred dinar every month for ten years? How did she know to check in on me every so often to see if I still existed? Why’d she leave me to be beaten and starved half to death while she kept the thousands my father gave her to support us both and did whatever she liked?!”
“How dare you say that? My child would never have—”
“She would, and she did! I’m sorry, Toriel, but she lied to everyone, especially you! Chara abandoned me until I was useful for something besides money, and she tore your family apart to punish Asgore for being right about her!”
“ENOUGH!” roared Toriel. She made a violent gesture, flame sizzling through the air. “I will not hear any more of this! Do you understand, High Priestess?! Whatever you may think happened, I know my daughter, and I know what she was and was not capable of! If you’re going to insist on slandering her any further, perhaps it would be better for you to l—”
The echoes died. The fury in Toriel’s gaze was gone, a hand coming back to her mouth.
“Better for me to what, Lady Toriel?” Frisk asked, so gently that Sans cringed. “Should—” Her throat worked. “Should I leave the Underground? Are you going to send me away again?”
Toriel didn’t have the chance to reply. A barrier screamed to life overhead, and constricted until it formed a dome around them only about twenty feet across and fifteen feet high. “All right. I understand,” said Frisk.
Undyne reacted first, pushing Alphys to the floor and stuffing her under the table. “Frisk!” snapped the fish monster. “Calm down, okay? She didn’t mean it!”
“She didn’t mean to say I was lying?” Frisk inquired, her voice suddenly rising to a shriek: “She didn’t mean to tell me to get out?”
“Frisk!” Sans tried to grab her shoulder, only for a flare of gold to warn him away. “C’mon, sweetheart! Ya gotta stop it! We can talk about this!”
“We just did, Sans!” He had seen her in pain before, but it was nothing compared to the wild-eyed stare she turned on him now. “We talked about it because you couldn’t wait to show everyone who I was! Thank you so much for helping me have this difficult conversation! We’ve finally answered the question of whether someone else I love is going to call me a liar!”
Sans’ SOUL already hurt so much that it took a moment to remember what she—oh, God. She meant when she’d told him she was Kris, and he’d scoffed at her until she stripped down to prove it. Now she’d been forced to reveal her identity to Toriel in the least natural way possible, and she didn’t believe her, either. “Frisk—”
She was smiling, but in a very unhinged way. “No, I should really be thanking you. Life is so much simpler now! I don’t have to waste any more time and energy wondering if I should feel worthless, because the closest person to a real mother I’ve ever had just told me so!”
Sans couldn’t answer: he had to fling himself backward before a cascade of sparks hit him in the face. Frisk drifted away a few steps and sank to her knees, hands still clenched on the envelope in her lap. “It’s fine,” she mumbled at the floor. “Food, presents, bubbles—I already gave you everything I have. If you don’t want me anymore, then…”
Toriel was rooted to the spot, chest heaving. The barrier sank lower, nearly grazing her horns, and Undyne rushed to sling her under the table as more sparks flew. “Sans!” the Captain shouted over the crackle and hiss of human magic.
The skeleton glared down at Toriel, and shook his head as she tried to speak. Frisk was too far gone—anything else the goat monster said would just aggravate her further, assuming she could even hear it.
Meanwhile, the dome was slowly closing in on them, and they couldn’t do a damn thing about it. If he tried to touch Frisk now, she’d just shove more magic at him; not only would that hurt like hell, it’d trap them all between two layers of barrier. He yelled her name again, but she didn’t move.
Shit! Why hadn’t Alphys warned him sooner? Why hadn’t Undyne kept her goddamn mouth shut about the letter? And if Toriel couldn’t accept right away that everything she knew was wrong and Chara was even worse than Sans had imagined, couldn’t she have found a way to deny it without completely destroying Frisk?!
Why hadn’t he—
No, all that mattered right now was getting through to her. The light surrounded them in blinding golden pulses, the barrier crackling like…
Humming. The barrier was making a hell of a lot of noise, and it…didn’t sound like her humming at all. Why was he thinking of that now?
…Because the last time his magic had been out of control, in his prison cell, she’d calmed him down by humming. But he hadn’t even heard her at first; he’d only snapped out of it when she touched his blaster – the physical embodiment of his magic – with her bare hand. He never did explain to her what a no-no that was…
Sans looked at his hand. He looked at his priestess, curled in on herself, lost in misery. The golden dome was so close to the crown of his skull that he could feel his whole body screaming at him to run.
The giant skeleton looked Toriel in the eye. Then he squeezed his sockets shut, lifted his arm, and placed his hand flat on the barrier.
 ~
             Something…happened.
One second, the pressure in Frisk’s head was intolerable, grief and despair rising to a fever pitch, spurred by the determination to keep the monsters here until they changed their minds, till they were sorry. Then—
The sensation could only be likened to someone running their finger down the inside of her chest, the most strange and intimate thing she’d ever felt. It should have been horrible, or at least uncomfortable, but…
But it didn’t feel invasive. It felt like someone giving her heart a gentle nudge, saying in a familiar, gravelly baritone, “’s all right, Frisk. It’s gonna be okay. I promise. But you gotta stop now, ‘kay?”
The feeling slipped away. She stirred, trying to get it back; Frisk opened her eyes and—
Sans. Her chest gave a happy little shiver as she saw him looking down at her. He was standing nearby, giving her a strained smile and…and touching—the barrier—
Fear jolted her fully awake. Frisk whistled as hard as she could, and the searing golden light vanished. Her whole body ached, but it was nothing compared with what she glimpsed as Sans lowered his arm. “Oh, God! Sans—”
“Hey, kitten,” mumbled the boss monster. He had to stifle a grunt, shuffling hastily to turn his back to her. “Tori, could I…get a hand with this? Heh…ow…”
Frisk tried to get up from where she was kneeling, or at least stop shaking. Green light shone around Sans’ huge form, but she barely noticed; all she could see in her mind’s eye were his blackened metacarpals, the smaller bones not just burned, but partially melted by her magic.
Her legs refused to work. Frisk dropped the envelope and shuffled herself around in a half circle to see if anyone else was hurt, and whether they had seen her nearly kill her poor skeleton. No one was here…
“Aww, darn. You were so close.”
…except for a voice that felt like spiders crawling into her brain. The demon-child sat on the edge of a nearby table, shaking its head at her and sighing. Then it gave her an encouraging grin. “Oh, well. That was still fun—just like old times. Don’t worry, you’ll get ‘em someday!”
Someone moved behind her. Frisk blinked hard, then shuddered, and pushed herself up onto her feet, standing with her back to the demon.
Undyne was climbing out from under their table and offering a webbed hand to Alphys. “Undyne?” The human moved gingerly toward them. “Are you two all right?”
The Captain’s eye widened, and her arm shot out, protecting Alphys from…from what? Frisk glanced around them, looking for—
Her. Undyne was protecting Alphys from her.
And why not? Hadn’t she done exactly what the monsters feared most—trapped them with a barrier, maimed someone, and nearly killed them? Even Undyne was afraid of her now!
Frisk shouldn’t have gotten up: she felt her body go heavy, legs giving way. She was only vaguely aware that she was going to fall, and that Undyne was hesitating, moving too late to catch her.
A soft, tingling sensation stopped her just short of the marble floor, lifting her higher into the air. To her dismay, she was enveloped in red magic, and Sans was reaching for her; Frisk tried to say, “No, don’t—”
His arms closed around her, strong and safe, his injured hand settling her against his shoulder. The other drew his coat over her legs; a shaky phalange ran through her hair, and a shakier voice rumbled, “Y’okay, sweetheart?”
Frisk wound her arms around his neck as tight as they’d go, not caring how his vertebrae dug into her flesh. She was too numb to cry, and she didn’t have the strength to ask what he was doing, or why he was anywhere near her. All she could do was hang on.
Undyne cleared her throat. “She…is she okay now?”
“She’ll be fine,” snapped the giant skeleton, and immediately stroked Frisk’s hair again as she trembled. “Shh, s’alright,” he murmured.
“Sans,” Toriel said brokenly. “I—”
The world tipped and swerved as Sans shifted his weight, turning them away. “C’mon, kitten. Let’s go home.”
“To your house?” Undyne was still shaken, but Frisk heard a warning note in her voice. “Look, I know you’re really emotional right now, but she’s not in any condition to—”
“To sleep!” he snarled. “I’m takin’ ‘er home, and we’re gonna sleep! Good fuckin’ night!”
A tiny part of Frisk wanted to tell him to be nice, but she couldn’t even stay conscious. The last thing she heard was Toriel’s cry of “Sans, wait!” before his magic rushed them through space. Then—
 ~
On her third day at the convent, they finally made her leave her room.
Frisk kept her eyes on the ground, letting the matron steer her down a hall and out into a courtyard full of chattering girls. The noise dropped a little as they saw her, but when Frisk stayed by the wall, there was a collective shrug, and the chatter resumed.
The wind was howling. Frisk wiped her nose on the sleeve of her new uniform, wondering dully if it was going to snow out here. The drifts in front of Sans and Papyrus’ house never seemed to go down, no matter how often they tossed her into them.
Did they miss her yet? Did they even know she was gone? Or had the accident—
           “Excuse me?”
Frisk looked up. Through her tears, she saw a group of older girls standing in front of her, with a grownup right behind—the Sister must have ordered them to come be nice to the new girl. Sure enough, the speaker was holding out a handkerchief, looking kind and concerned. “Thank you,” Frisk whispered, taking it and wiping her eyes.
“It’s all right. I know I was very sad when I first got here,” the girl said, a little too loud. She smiled, and Frisk tried not to shudder—she’d gotten so used to monsters that the girl’s pretty blue eyes, golden hair, and rosy skin looked fake, like a doll.
The grownup nodded approval and moved away to yell at another group for telling dirty jokes. Immediately, the blonde girl’s smile sharpened, and she wrinkled her nose. “Keep it,” she said curtly.
That was bad, but at least Frisk had expected it. What really hurt was when the group moved off and the girl said to her friends, “Oh my God, her hair! And did you see her eyes? She looks like a rabbit!”
The snickering felt like a scab being ripped off Frisk’s heart. “Geez, Mathilda,” another girl said quietly.
“Well, it’s true! They’re not supposed to be red! Is she cursed or something?” Laughter. “I’m serious! We all need to say extra prayers tonight!”
Would it have changed anything if Frisk had remembered that conversation? Soon after, the King visited and told her everything – how he had thought Chara was at least providing her with basic necessities, and he would be sure she never lacked for anything again – and when she worsened, they decided to remove her memories; the Mother Superior had repeated the most relevant facts about her father and her future education, and Frisk had accepted her new life.
As far as Frisk knew, the first time she met her best friend was soon afterward, when Mathilda switched places with someone to sit next to her at lunch. “Hello. You must be Frisk,” she said, smiling. “Do you, um…”
Frisk watched her in puzzlement. Why was Mathilda Owen bothering to speak to her?
Mathilda fidgeted. “Never mind. I just wanted to say hello.” Why did she look so guilty? Her friends were watching, whispering anxiously to each other, as though something important was at stake. “Would you like to come and sit with us? I hate to see you all by yourself.”
As soon as she figured out that it wasn’t a cruel prank, and she really was making friends with the most beautiful and kind-hearted girl in the entire school, Frisk was too happy to question things further. It took her a long time to realize that everyone knew why the King had been here, and that everyone wanted his daughter to like them, especially Mathilda.
Even then, Frisk had decided not to care. As long as she could earn their friendship by being kind and helpful, did it really matter how it’d started? It wasn’t as if she was only worth something because of her father.
…It wasn’t.
 ~
             …Finally.
She shook the ruby droplets from the kitchen knife, wondering idly why he was the only monster who ever bled, then kicked the dust aside. It was time to move on.
 ~
Frisk awoke in a rush of adrenaline and half-remembered nightmares. It was dark; she thought for a moment that she’d been buried alive, then realized that something huge and leathery was draped over her entire body. No golden twilight through the windows, no blood, no dust…
Ugh. Her mouth tasted like a warm sock, and her head throbbed the way it always did when she’d used too much magic. With great care, the human slithered out of her warm prison for a look around.
She was in Sans’ room, lying on his outgrown mattress, his overcoat loosely wrapped around her. The lamp was on, but he’d draped an old shirt over it to diffuse the light into a soft glow, giving the cold, messy space a warmer aspect; in fact, the golden haze reminded her of—
           A barrier.
Chills swept through her, clearing her head of other thoughts like a blast of frigid air. It wasn’t just a nightmare: she had used a barrier against monsters inside the Underground. There was no coming back from that, no excusing or explaining it away.
Even if Toriel hadn’t really meant it at the time, her order to leave would probably become reality. Her friends might not entirely blame her for lashing out, but there was still no way they could trust her anymore—after she had hurt Sans like that, she’d be angry if he did trust her!
Frisk slowly eased herself back down inside the coat, as if she could hide from what she’d done. In her bitter, selfish regret, she didn’t even think of what this meant for her peace efforts; all she knew was that the Underground was the only place she’d ever really belonged – her birthplace – and she had lost any right to be here. Back to the humans, then, and her suffocating routine of work, exhaustion, and loneliness, secretly hoping that maybe, if she could be useful enough, someone would love her for more than her money or her pedigree and stay. If she could just be good enough—
           Well, obviously, she couldn’t.
Frisk wasn’t going to cry again. She was tired of crying about things in general, and in this case, there was no possible way to make herself feel better. Why bother making her headache worse and her sleeves all soggy again? She just burrowed deeper into the huge leather coat, willing her mind to subside into comfortable nothingness; at least she was good at that.
It usually helped to have something small to focus on, so Frisk unhooked her itchy black choker and scratched her neck, flushing at the memory of flirting with Sans in front of everyone. Then came her boots, her stockings, and her earrings…
…which weren’t there. The priestess frowned, fingering her earlobes. She didn’t remember taking them out. Had they come off while she was asleep?
Wait a moment. Sans had put her here, hadn’t he? Her satchel was close by; Frisk stuck her arm out until she could pull it over and peek inside. Sure enough, not only had the boss monster removed her earrings for her, he’d left them atop her folded clothes, where they were both safe and easily found.
For some reason, that one little thing, that bit of care and attention, was the last straw. She took a deep breath, only for it to catch as a huge sob tore loose, partly muffled by his coat. Then another, and—
Sans was suddenly standing by the mattress. “Frisk!” He sat down hard. “Frisk, it’s okay, don’t—”
The human forgot that he was supposed to be scared of her. Moving on pure instinct, she flung the coat aside and launched herself up at him, letting his shirt absorb the first wave of tears. “Aww,” he murmured, folding his arms over her back and cradling her head in one massive palm. “C’mon, sweetheart, ya don’t hafta cry. Everythin’s fine now.”
Frisk pressed her face into his clavicle, furiously shaking her head. It was important to explain to him that nothing was fine and it was absolutely correct for her to be crying, but she was crying too hard to get the words out.
Sans gave a large, soft sigh, carrying her outward and back in. “It’s okay,” he repeated, his voice rumbling throughout her body. She shook her head again, and he ran the side of his finger down her back. “Yuh-huh, it is. Calm down.”
She didn’t want to calm down, but as he kept petting her, Frisk’s sobs slowed down a little. The boss monster made a sound deep in his chest, and she answered him with one that made him squeeze her tighter.
There was that magnetic feeling again, as though she was completely stuck to him. This time, though, she wasn’t frightened. And this time, she felt something else: another sensation was stealing over her, so slowly that she thought it might just be her imagination. It was similar to when he’d accidentally given her his magic, but this didn’t seem accidental, and it wasn’t exactly magic…
She’d felt it when he touched the barrier, and here it was again, washing over her in gentle waves: guilt and anger at himself for kicking off the whole incident, anxiety for her, and…well. He didn’t think she was worthless, or dangerous, or that she needed to do a single thing to deserve forgiveness. His hand didn’t even hurt anymore. …Much.
Even if it did, he still loved her.
Frisk shook her head again, but her sobs grew slower and weaker, gradually coming to a stop. The human leaned away long enough to sniff back a giant wad of snot, then sought a dry patch of his shirt to wipe her eyes. She wasn’t sure how he was doing this, but she wasn’t going to question it right now. “Hand?” she croaked.
Sans was quiet. He grunted, then held his palm up. “It ain’t that bad. Looks kinda like a frowny face. See?”
The priestess gulped, raising her own fingers to trace the pattern of deep swirls and grooves her magic had left in the living bones. “Can…” Frisk had to swallow a few more times before she could whisper, “Can you still move them?”
He paused. She felt a closing-off sort of twinge in her chest, as though he’d decided to stop sharing his feelings so he could fib: “Yeah, pretty much.” His metacarpals waggled back and forth, the smallest of them longer than her entire hand. She poked the base of his thumb and forefinger, where a good two or three inches of bone were fused together. “That doesn’t count,” he said stubbornly.
Frisk shuddered, turning to rest her cheek near the top of his sternum. “I’m so sorry.”
“I know.” He shifted uncomfortably. “Do ya wanna talk about it?”
“I don’t know,” she said, and winced as her head throbbed. “What time is it?”
“Last I checked, it was about seven o’clock,” he replied, petting her hair again. “I got up maybe half an hour ago an’ healed you, just in case.” Tap, tap. “How’s yer hangover?”
“…Not that bad, actually.” Frisk yawned. She’d missed being with him so much that it felt like a waste to just sleep, but it was hard to argue with the results. After all she’d had to drink last night, and then…the incident, she was amazed that she only had a headache and an icky mouth. “Thank you for that. It feels like I got much more than five or six hours.”
Sans chuckled, tapping her head again. “That’s ‘cause it’s seven in the evening, kitten. I think we slept about eighteen hours.”
Frisk’s eyes shot open. “Are you serious?” She leaned back enough to look him in the face. “Is that even possible? I—”
The words faded as their eyes met. Frisk figured she must look pretty awful, but he wasn’t much better. “Did I miss a spot?” he asked gruffly.
The human nodded, reaching up to brush at the dried red on the corners of his sockets. Sans leaned into her touch as she rubbed his cheekbone. “You’re supposed to be a big boy now,” she scolded the giant skeleton. “Do I need to—”
Memory hit her again like a fist. Sans jumped as Frisk suddenly yanked her hand away, trying to push herself off him. “Hey!” he protested. “What’re you—wouldja hold on a damn minute?!” More by reflex than design, his hand tightened around her back, keeping her in place. “It was an accident, goddammit! You’re not gonna do it again!”
“No, it wasn’t!” Frisk thumped his shoulder with her tiny fist. “You don’t understand!” Thump. “It wasn’t an accident! I was so angry, I wanted to keep everyone there, and I didn’t want to control it! I don’t know what would’ve happened if you hadn’t stopped me!”
Sans started. “That little fucker,” the skeleton whispered, as if he’d realized something very profound. “I know what it was, Frisk. That goddamn thing was right there! I saw it a minute before the whole name thing started! I dunno if it made me drop the letter so you’d freak out, or if it was plannin’ something else, but it wanted you to go nuts! That’s why—”
“No! It wasn’t!” Thump. Thump. “Are you even listening?! It was me! I did it on purpose!” Thump. “I was already…” Frisk shuddered, shaking her head again as more emotions boiled to the surface. “Do you know how scared I’ve been? We’re halfway through our visit, and I haven’t even talked to anyone about ending slavery! I’ve just been thinking of how to tell Asgore and Toriel about Chara, whether they’d believe me and if I’ve been selfish to keep back something that could help make peace—I had no idea their estrangement was because Asgore knew Chara was lying about me! And I missed you so much—” His arms tightened, and Frisk caught herself on another sob. “I don’t want to go, Sans!”
“No one’s makin’ you go anywhere!” He gave her a very light shake. “We all know you, Frisk! Ya think anyone’s sittin’ there thinkin’, ‘Welp, that was inevitable, let’s go ahead ‘n toss ‘er out now’? Or d’ya think we feel like shit ‘cause we kept pokin’ you till you couldn’t take it anymore?”
“How can you say that?” she demanded. “It doesn’t matter how badly I was provoked! I wouldn’t let you get away with attacking me just because you were angry!”
“Y’already did. Remember?” He stroked her back with one knuckle. “You coulda done anythin’ you wanted once I quit tryin’ ta murder you, and ya put me to bed ‘n fed me.”
…Damn it. “That’s not the same thing! I—”
“Frisk.” His phalange brushed her cheek. “Yer the one who’s not listenin’. No one is makin’ you leave. We’re gonna talk about it with everybody, there’s gonna be a big damn fight over who’s the most sorry, an’ we’re gonna figure out how to get you in to see Asgore. You’re gonna say whatever you need to about Chara and lay out yer big plan to make everything all better. If he doesn’t wanna do it, we’ll figure somethin’ else out before we leave.” His hand rested on her back like a shield. “And I’m gonna quit actin’ like all I hafta do is stay outta yer way an’ let you do everything. From now on, I want you ta tell me if somethin’s botherin’ you before ya go crazy.” Squeeze. “Any questions?”
Frisk thought about it as she sniffled. “Yes. Why couldn’t you have been this sweet when I gave you the stupid chessboard?”
He snorted. “Yer startin’ ta sound like me!” Pause. Shrug. “Short answer? It was pretty much the best thing I ever got, and I didn’t know what to say.”
“Whatever happened to ‘Thank you,’ Sans?” Thump. “I was really looking forward to you opening your gift, and you couldn’t wait to get away from it!”
“I know, I know!” His shoulders hunched again. “’m sorry! I…wanted ta jump you, but that wasn’t exactly an option. I didn’t know what else ta do!”
How could he make her want to hug and slap him so badly? “Well, putting that aside, do you plan to spend the rest of your life running off when you get embarrassed?”
“I wasn’t—” He caught himself and scowled. “I dunno. Just…sorry I was shitty about the chess stuff. It was amazing, and thank you a lot for it. Okay?”
He was so exasperatingly cute that Frisk had to bite her lip. “All right, then. You’re welcome. I…”
Rrrrgggrgrgl.
They both froze as her stomach rumbled. Frisk made a sheepish sound, and Sans chuckled. “Right. I was in the middle of makin’ a couple sandwiches when I came up.”
Frisk nodded. “Where’s Papyrus?” She wiped her eyes again. “Please don’t say he’s planning to make dinner.”
“Nope! I left a note on the door tellin’ him and Undyne ta stay at the inn tonight. I said we’d meet ‘em at the Ruins tomorrow morning.”
They were going to be alone tonight? The priestess felt light-headed, her cheeks burning. Sans must have been thinking the same thing, because she could’ve sworn his bones were getting warmer. “Time ta eat,” he mumbled, and a blink later, they were in the living room.
Still in his arms, Frisk turned her head to survey the kitchen table. He’d set out a loaf of bread, some cheese, tomatoes, and a few other things, obviously dropped when he’d heard her crying. Frisk thought about it, then snuggled back into Sans. There was food, and she was starving, but he was right here, too; she didn’t know which she wanted more at the moment.
Another rumble from her stomach settled the question. “Off ya go,” he said reluctantly, and Frisk sighed, moving her hand down to push free of their stuck-togetherness.
Sans suddenly made a strangled sound. Frisk didn’t understand it, or why his hand had flexed to avoid squashing her, until she looked down: she’d accidentally reached in between his ribs, pushing his shirt through and wrapping her fingers most of the way around his middle rib.
She’d never put her hands inside his ribcage, assuming it was basically a private part, and it seemed she was right. Just like that, his breathing had grown ragged, his bones trembling as her hand tightened. There was no misinterpreting his physical reaction; she could imagine how his instincts to comfort and protect her were deepening into much more raw emotion…
…because it was completely mutual. The young woman tugged lightly on his rib, and felt him shudder again. “Frisk,” he muttered. “Knock it off.”
Frisk moved just enough to brush her cheek against his jawbone. “What?” One finger slid along the bone toward his sternum. “This?”
Sans’ entire frame jerked. “Yes, that!” He caught her wrist in the curl of his index finger. “If I was a human, it’d be like stickin’ yer hand down my pants!”
“You don’t want me to?” she asked, very matter-of-fact.
Sans’ arm across her back was almost hurting her. Not tight enough, then. “Frisk,” he said warningly.
“I’m serious.” She licked her lips, feeling heat spread through her, chasing away the sorrow and anger. “My period’s over, the house is empty, and your magic doesn’t have any negativity at all right now.” Her free hand drifted toward his sternum. “We both need this, Sans. Don’t tell me you’re not interested.”
“I’m not sayin’ that!” To her bewilderment, he seized her with his magic and set her on the couch with a butt-tingling thump. “Just… I want you so bad, I’m about to lose my damn mind!” His entire skull was bright red. “But you’re still messed up from somethin’ that only happened ‘cause I was bein’ a dumbass, an’ I’m not gonna do it when you’re not thinkin’ straight! That would be fuckin’ wrong! Got it?” Despite himself, he stepped closer to touch her cheek. “’Sides, there’s somethin’ we’ve really gotta talk about first. The letter from yer dad is…”
He trailed off as her face twitched. “What?” he asked suspiciously.
“So, you…” Frisk knew this was not the time, but she couldn’t keep the words from bubbling up: “You’d be…fucking wrong?” Her body was trembling again, this time with the urge to giggle. “You already went the extra mile and figured out how to be my size. I’m pretty sure that means you can do it correctly now!”
“Frisk,” he said, scandalized, and covered his face as she snrrrked. “God damn it, woman, I’m tryin’ ta be serious here!”
She didn’t answer, at least not out loud. Sans took one look at her face and gave his scariest growl. “No.”
“But—”
“Frisk.”
“But are you—”
“Friiiiisk—”
A long pause. Frisk sighed in resignation, shrugging one shoulder.
Sans nodded. “Okay. Now, for real, Frisk, I’m—”
“—fucking serious?”
The dam broke: one moment, they were staring each other down, and then they burst into hysterical, snorting laughter. Frisk was sobbing again, but for the right reason, dammit; Sans let his forehead thunk on the floor, trying desperately to stop long enough to say something, only to end up laughing harder.
Eventually, out of sheer weakness, they had to slow down, and reached a point where they could almost breathe normally. “Shit,” rasped Sans, and wiped his eyes on his sleeves. “Oh my God, I love you.”
Frisk’s breath caught, her heart coming to a standstill. She sat up, watching the skeleton realize what he’d said. His sockets widened, but he looked straight at her, almost defiantly. “What?” There went the red again. He looked away…and back. “’s true,” he said, very quietly.
There was no telling what she might have done if Sans hadn’t pushed to his feet and waved his hand at the table. The bread knife started sawing away, cutting the loaf into sandwich slices and assembling the ingredients. “We need ta eat somethin’, an’ then I should go track yer letter down,” he mumbled, trying to rub the color off his skull. “I dunno if someone picked it up, or if it got left up there, or what. You can get some time to yerself—take a bath or somethin’.”
A bath sounded good, decided the one functional corner of her mind. She accepted the glass of water and mostly-tomato sandwich he wafted over to her a moment later, ignoring his muttered apologies for its crappiness. Nor did she pay much heed when he said something else, tapped a knuckle on her shoulder, and winked out of sight.
Alone for the first time in several days, Frisk finished her sandwich. She put the dishes in the sink, went upstairs, and ran a very hot bath, staring at the steam rising from the water. Then she went to Sans’ room, removed all her clothes, and lay down to wrap herself in his overcoat again. She hadn’t touched herself since before they left the castle, and she was even more worked up now than she’d been the night she made herself clear to Sans; being in his room, with the feeling of his bones and everything he’d said to her fresh in her mind, anticipating time to themselves at last—that was more than her body could handle. So…
It took so little time that the water was still hot when Frisk stumbled back into the bathroom. She left the door open a crack before she got in the tub, because…the steam…had to escape. Yes. The door needed to be open. For the steam.
Frisk knew exactly when Sans returned; to her disappointment, she heard an embarrassed mutter in the hall, and the door clicked shut. Just because she could, Frisk splashed louder, whistling his favorite song and letting the notes linger than she probably had to. She let the water out, also loudly, and kept humming as she dried herself and got dressed.
Sans was obviously on his guard when she came downstairs, which was wise: she was wearing his old clothes again, hands in the pockets of his zipped-up blue jacket, though she hadn’t had the nerve to put on any socks. He gave her one glance, reddened again, and turned his head, shoving the golden envelope at her. “Here.”
Frisk swallowed. “Thank you.” She studied the envelope for a moment, then tossed it on the couch and advanced on him. “I’m feeling much better now, so—”
“Nope!” Sans skipped away fast enough to make her yelp a little. He held up his good hand, as if to ward her off. “Dammit, Frisk, I mean it when I say I’m not gonna fuck you yet! Sit down and listen!”
Startled, the human sank onto the couch. Sans scratched the back of his head, collecting his thoughts. “Okay. So. Gaster gave me that thing, an’ he told me what’s in it.” He shut his eyes. “First thing: your King’s been talkin’ about you all over the place. Everyone—all the humans know Chara was yer mom.”
Frisk’s stomach lurched. “I see,” she murmured. Sans watched anxiously as she blew out a long breath. “Well, at least if I start throwing barriers at humans, it won’t frighten them.”
Sans chuckled. “Nope. They’d think it was neat,” he agreed.
The priestess thought it over, and decided that this particular problem could go back on the shelf for now. “Did someone see the letter and start spreading the word?”
“Yep. Gaster says yer dad’s pissed off, and that’s his way of bein’ passive-aggressive.” He indicated the envelope. “He fixed up a bunch of legal stuff with your name all over it.”
“‘Legal stuff’?” Frisk scowled. “Am I being arrested for theft?” She almost hoped so; that was a fight she’d enjoy winning. “If I am, I swear I will burn down the entire—”
“Nope. Just the opposite.” The skeleton took a deep, deep breath. “He…”
Watching his face, it suddenly clicked. “He wants to adopt me?” she asked crisply.
Blink. “…Uh.” Blink. “…yes?” Emphatic blink. “How the hell did you know?”
Her teeth clenched, all her muscles knotting at once, and then she let it go with a sigh. “He hinted at it a few times back when I was teaching Gaius magic. It’s been so long, I forgot all about it.” Mostly. “The poor boy isn’t going to live long enough to have his own heirs, and my older siblings are almost all gone, so… I was hoping His Majesty would name one of his more distant relatives, or pick another of his children.”
“Well, you’re the best he’s got.” Frisk flushed as Sans sat down against the opposite wall. “Is that a normal thing fer humans? You’re gettin’ old and yer official kid is kinda puny, so you grab a backup?”
Frisk crossed her legs, absently enjoying his reaction. “It’s uncommon, but it’s happened before in order to keep a particular bloodline going.” She picked up the envelope and broke the wax seal. “I’ll bet you a million dinar my father says he’s invited Luke and Mathilda back to the castle with their family. He went to school with Luke’s father, so he probably wants to get reacquainted before they announce our engagement.”
The boss monster watched in silence as she pulled out a sheaf of expensive papers, setting aside the copies of her ducal investiture and adoption decree. Frisk unfolded the handwritten letter, read it over carefully, and nodded. “You owe me a million dinar.”
He didn’t laugh. “See? If you end up havin’ my kid, it’s probably not gonna improve yer chances of bein’ Queen someday and gettin’ to set everything right for everyone.” Sans shrugged, eyes on the floor. “Not the kinda thing I can ask you to give up just so I can get laid.”
Warmth bloomed in her chest and rekindled in her middle, where she was still sensitive from her personal time upstairs. “I’m not giving anything up. I don’t want to be Queen,” she said calmly. “I want to become the humans’ ambassador to the monster race and set up an embassy somewhere close by—maybe at the farm on the river.” She set the papers aside and got to her feet, her entire body humming. “And if I do have a child, I’m going to love it and raise it, no matter how hard things get…even if it’s only half human.”
Sans’ eyes went blank. “…Frisk?”
The High Priestess’ heart was pounding so hard that she wondered if he could hear it as she crossed the room. She stopped in front of him, and held her hand out. “Will you stay with me, Sans?”
His hand came up to engulf hers and tug her against him, even as he shook his head. “Ya can’t decide somethin’ like that so quick,” Sans protested. Frisk leaned in just hard enough for him to feel her breasts through the thick blue jacket, and he shuddered. “I-I mean, believe me, I understand bein’ horny, but—”
Frisk reached up to rap on his cheekbone with her knuckles. “Excuse me, sir, but my mind has been made up since I opened the box.” She turned to press her lips to his phalanges. “Take me to your room, please.”
The light in his sockets dilated nearly all the way. Massive hands closed around her, and the world suddenly rushed by, depositing them by the door in his room. His magic pulled the mattress out to the center of the floor, straightening his overcoat in lieu of sheets or a blanket; the skeleton released her and glanced around for a moment, visibly regretting that they weren’t in a more romantic or at least clean environment. “Close yer eyes,” he mumbled.
Frisk complied, feeling and hearing him compress his huge frame down to human size. She opened her eyes just in time for Sans to pull her down to the mattress, setting her in his lap with her calves draped over his femurs. As before, he didn’t seem to care how his clothes hung off him; he simply yanked his sleeves back, then slipped his arm around her waist, the other running through her hair as he mouthed her neck.
That was a good start; the priestess wound her arms around him as Sans pulled her even closer. She made a delicate little sound as he slid his tongue into her mouth, his movements slow and gentle until she deliberately nipped him.
He nearly snarled at her, one hand gripping the small of her back and the other tangling in her hair. Frisk almost purred at the twinges in her scalp, letting him hold her in place as the kiss grew rougher and his fangs grazed her lip. She couldn’t believe how easily this was coming to her, how gratifying it was—all it took was a few little sighs, soft touches, and complete sexual abandon. Who knew?
It was more than a physical urge, though. She couldn’t even guess which of them needed this more, to be held and explored, valued, accepted—
The hand on her back had crept under her jacket, finding the hem of her shirt and then encountering bare skin. Frisk shivered pleasurably at the feel of bones gliding up her side, and at the disbelieving sound he made. “Holy shit,” breathed Sans. “You’re so soft.” His nasal ridge dropped back to the crook of her neck; he inhaled so deeply that she felt a rush of cold on her damp skin. “You smell amazing—” His tongue ran across her throat, his teeth sinking just hard enough to make her whimper and reach up to caress his skull. “I don’t…are ya really sure about this?”
Sighing inwardly, the priestess nuzzled the side of his vertebrae; he sucked in his breath as her tongue ran over the dry bone. Her legs shifted toward him, hips scooting closer as she guided his hands to her waist. Sans accepted the invitation, hitching up his baggy trousers and carefully grinding his pelvis into her so that she could feel his magic more directly.
It was one thing to have undergone a comprehensive scientific education and read dozens upon dozens of romance novels, and quite another to actually feel male parts…or magical facsimiles. The eternal, universal question sprang to mind: how was anything that size supposed to fit in her? That couldn’t be right. If she didn’t know better, she’d dismiss the whole idea as an elaborate prank, and childbirth as some kind of optical illusion. But…
Frisk ducked her head into his shoulder, face burning as his fingers combed through her hair. Luckily, Sans was oblivious. “’s not fair,” he murmured above her. “Everythin’ about you feels nice, ‘n I’m just a buncha gross bones.”
Frisk gave a disapproving snort—this, she could handle. “Here, give me your hand.” Ignoring her hot cheeks, she took his wrist and slid his hand up under her jacket, unable to suppress a tremor as his phalanges traced the underside of her breast. “If I thought you were ‘gross,’ would I be letting you do this?”
There was no telling what Sans thought: his powers of speech had degenerated into a series of incoherent sounds. To her irritation, he withdrew his hand and grabbed at the bottom of her jacket, desperate to pull it over her head…only to blink in confusion as Frisk snrked at him, leaning back and helpfully tapping the zipper.
As it turned out, the joke was on her. In another split-second, Sans had the jacket unzipped and the sleeves pulled straight down her arms, the whole thing tossed aside; before she knew what had happened, he was crushing her against him, his hands back under her white shirt, palms sweeping along her sides and up across her back—
In the heat of the moment, both of them had forgotten about her scars. Frisk tensed as his hands passed over the rough skin, and he stopped dead. “This okay?” he inquired after a moment, giving her a few experimental pets. “Doesn’t feel too weird, does it?”
The young woman shook her head, resting it on his shoulder and reminding herself that he’d already seen them. There was nothing to worry about or feel ashamed of. “You can touch it if you want. It doesn’t feel like much of anything anymore—the nerve endings are gone.”
Sans ground his teeth. “Are ya sure I can’t go kill that bitch?”
Purely on instinct, Frisk placed her slender fingers between his upper ribs, near his sternum; his eyes widened further as she pulled herself the rest of the way onto his bony, baggy-trousered lap. “Please don’t,” she said against his jaw. “I think we have better things to d—”
In one motion, Sans pulled her shirt up to her collarbone and hitched her forward to lay them both down on the mattress. With her face aflame and her heart galloping harder than ever, Frisk stayed still as he rose on one elbow to look her over, jaws parting to breathe more heavily; but to her surprise, when he reached down, all he did was rest his right palm on her sternum, where they could both feel her heartbeat reverberating through the disfigured bones.
Frisk gradually forget to be embarrassed, or cold, letting him see that she trusted him enough to stay exposed. Sans moved his thumb a little, and without thinking, she rested her hand on his, playing with the gaps between his joints. They were both content to stay that way for a few quiet moments, studying the contrast between her skin and his bones.
Soon, though, he had to lean down again to kiss her, and his hand turned to stroke her breast with the backs of his fingers. Frisk made a soft sound and tried to sit up to demand more; to her surprise, he shook his head and slung his femur across her waist, pinning her to the mattress. “Slow down, kitten,” he muttered. “I don’t wanna go nuts an’ hurt you by accident.”
That was cheating. She was already aroused enough; when she reached down to grab his hand, only to have her wrists corraled and pinned over her head with a trace of red magic, she couldn’t help moaning out loud.
Sans’ orange eyes were fully dilated now. He had sat up and partly turned aside, but couldn’t look away from her writhing and urgent noises. “What’d I just say?!” he snapped.
“I can’t help it!” Frisk squirmed again. “Let me go, and I’ll stop! Please!”
With unnatural speed, Sans released her and kicked off his trousers. His full weight flattened her to the mattress, and something pressed very distinctively into her stomach; Frisk tried to look down between their bodies, but his baggy shirt was blocking her view. Was it red like the rest of his magic, or—
His fingers caught her chin, making her look up at him. “Okay, kitten. You ready?” He let go long enough to hook his phalanges in the waistband of her black-and-white-striped pants, and rested his forehead on hers. “I…” He exhaled, his entire body trembling. “I’m just guessin’ on size. Went with somethin’ like this.” His tongue stuck out for a moment. “If it doesn’t work, then—”
“It’s all right, Sans.” Frisk leaned up to kiss his jaw, wiggling her hips to help him remove her last piece of clothing. “Go ahead.”
Sans nodded, taking in the view with his jaws still parted and his eyes burning, but he clearly couldn’t wait any longer. She let him arrange her arms around him, then run his hand over her waist and hips, rubbing her thighs for an appreciative moment before he nudged her legs open.
Either Sans had read up on this process, or the instincts Undyne had mentioned could adapt to human anatomy, because he didn’t even hesitate. He plucked the folds of his shirt out of the way and reached down, and Frisk jumped as something prodded her entrance. She’d gotten a couple of her fingers in there before, but as Sans moved forward into her, she couldn’t help wincing. The pressure quickly grew into discomfort as her body started giving way; she buried her face in Sans’ shirt, and he paused for a second, then leaned in—
Romance novels had absolutely lied to her. The pressure built into sharp, burning pain as he pushed further into her, and Frisk couldn’t hold back a little sob as he moved out, and back in. He shook his head; she tried to tell him it was all right, only to cry out as he sank the rest of the way inside. “God—‘m sorry, Frisk, just—” His hips moved back again, and he started to sit up.
Frisk latched onto his ribs again, legs squeezing his pelvis in the strangest, strongest determination she’d ever felt. She didn’t care if it hurt: he needed her, she needed him, and she’d be damned if she’d let it end yet! “Don’t stop,” she whispered, keenly aware of the effect her voice had on him. Just to be certain, she ran her finger over the back of his skull. “Please?”
There were no more words after that. The boss monster slammed into her again, drawing another near-sob from her. He snarled deep in his throat, hands trembling as they grasped the overcoat behind her head; with a huge effort, he drew out and pushed in more slowly, then stayed still for a moment. Frisk made the mistake of wriggling her hips to try to adjust to the feeling of fullness – of intrusion, really – and he swiftly jerked out and slammed in again.
That was enough for Frisk. She pulled clumsily at him with her legs, and he either took the hint or couldn’t hold back anymore: he snarled in his throat, movements faster and more erratic the closer he came. Frisk held on, ignoring the pain and focusing on the fierce exultation of watching him lose himself in her; when he started to slow down a little, she growled and bit his clavicle as hard as she could, determined to see him finish.
Sure enough, Sans groaned deep in his throat, ending on a snarl; his hips went once—twice—three times more, and his arms locked around her, his entire body shoving her into the mattress as hard as she’d wanted. Frisk let him ride it out for as long as he wanted, waiting till the tension in his limbs finally relaxed and he slumped into her.
Neither one spoke for several minutes. There was no need for him to pull out: she felt his magic vanish, and tried not to breathe too big a sigh of relief. Well, she couldn’t be disappointed in the lack of multiple orgasms or even much pleasure yet—how could she when Sans was lying in her arms, rubbing his face slowly into her neck as his breathing began to slow?
Frisk stroked his skull and shifted her weight where his leg was digging into her, and immediately regretted it as her entire lower half protested. She was going to have many bruises in the morning. They would just have to work on their technique, she thought, resting her cheek on his cranium.
Sans showed no signs of life besides his breathing for several minutes. She was starting to worry a little when he moved his head enough to say, “M’rm.”
The young woman blinked. “Beg pardon?”
He was silent for a long time. “Never mind. I’ll ask ya later.” Sans rose up on his elbow and shakily leaned in to lick her neck again. “Thank you,” he murmured.
There was so much behind it that Frisk didn’t know what to say. Instead, she reached up and pulled his head back down to her breasts, resting his cheekbone over her heart. It made her remember how he’d shared his feelings directly with her before, and what’d happen if he tried that in the middle of sex…
Frisk sighed, closing her eyes. That was another thing to put away for later, to worry about and/or look forward to when she got to it. For now, she closed her eyes, and waited for Sans to say something; then she peeked at him, and saw that she was wasting her time. He was already fast asleep.

tumblr user suzyundertale makes a post about Suzy from Undertale
Suzy masterpost, because people need to pay more attention to Suzy. This is not a theory post, but more of a collection of information on what we currently know about the Undertale character Suzy. Of course, due to the nature of Suzy as a very mysterious character, there will be slight speculation, but hopefully it’s clear what is canon and what isn’t.
Section One: The Beginning
When Undertale first released, there was very little that we knew of the character “Suzy”. Even less than what we know now, which is impressive. The only connection we had to her was word of mouth from an NPC with no name, but known in the files simply as “clamgirl”, found in Waterfall if your “Fun” value is between 80 and 89.
When you first talk to her, she says the following:
* I'm visiting Waterfall from the city. * Synchronicity...? * My neighbor's daughter looks about your age. * Her name is "Suzy." * I feel like you two should be friends. * You have... * A neighbor's blessing!!!
(”Suzy” here is written in yellow text.)
Talking to her a second time:
* Not knowing where I live is no issue. * Fate finds a way.
And, finally, talking to her post-pacifist:
* So you never became friends with my neighbor's daughter. * Don't despair. * This world has infinite opportunities. * But there's a limit to the things you can do. * Accepting this is healthy. * Take my neighbor's blessing! * And consider this blessing for anything you like!
(She has more dialogue, but this is all that you really need to know.)
Section Two: The Patch
In January of 2016, a couple weeks after Toby made (and subsequently deleted) a tweet about he wanted to “start something else” in 2016, a something which we now know to be Deltarune, Undertale received its first major update - version 1.01.
Here’s the relevant information.
Toby made two very, very minor changes to Clamgirl’s post-pacifist dialogue. Here is the new dialogue, with changes bolded:
* So you never met my neighbor's daughter. * Don't despair. * This world has infinite opportunities. * But there's a limit to the things you can do today. * Accepting this is healthy. * Take my neighbor's blessing! * And consider this blessing for anything you like!
He changed “became friends with” to “met” - emphasizing the fact that Suzy is not a character you can meet in Undertale.
He also added the word “today”, to emphasize the fact that this does not mean Frisk will never be able to meet Suzy.
This wasn’t the only Suzy-related thing in the version 1.01 patch, however. The patch added a well-known line of dialogue to the lab behind Sans and Papyrus’ house. Normally, when you examine a certain drawer in the lab, you get this dialogue:
* (There's a photo album inside the drawer.) * (There are photos of Sans with a lot of people you don't recognize.) * (He looks happy.)
However, from version 1.01 onward, if you examine this drawer after having spoken to Clamgirl, you will get this dialogue instead:
* (There's a photo album inside the drawer.) * (There are photos of... Huh?) * (A card is sticking out from the back flap of the binder.) * (It's a poorly drawn picture of three smiling people.) * (Written on it...) * "don't forget."
Again, I’d like to emphasize that this dialogue only appears if you’ve spoken to Clamgirl, if you know who Suzy is. In this way, the phrase “Don’t forget” is intrinsically linked to Suzy.
So, from all of this, we can gather a few things about this mysterious “Suzy” character.
She is a girl around Frisk’s age.
She lives in the capital.
She has at least one parent (who happens to be Clamgirl’s neighbor.)
Frisk is, apparently, fated to meet her.
Despite this, it is impossible to meet Suzy in Undertale.
Sans’ photo album will have a card reading “don’t forget” only if you know who Suzy is.
Section Three: Fast Approaching
Did you think that was the only Undertale update that added cryptic Suzy-related dialogue?? Guess again!
Fast-forward to September 2018. Undertale has just been released on Nintendo Switch! Almost immediately, it is discovered that the Switch version added this:
youtube
(excuse me posting my own video, but it’s really the best one on youtube...(side note; i’m not sure if she’s actually supposed to reappear when you exit and re-enter the room, that might be a side effect of me poorly emulating the game))
Anyway, this is what happens post-pacifist in the Switch version if your fun value is exactly 81. If it’s 82-89, Clamgirl has her regular dialogue from v1.01.
The Switch version of Undertale came out September (15 in Japan, 18 everywhere else) 2018 - A month and a half before the release of Chapter 1 of Deltarune. In hindsight, it’s obviously foreshadowing - but when you think about it, foreshadowing what?
A month later, we play Deltarune, and meet a brand new character named Susie. Not Suzy. (More on that distinction in a bit.) If that’s the case, why did Clamgirl claim that we were going to meet Suzy very soon?
Well, the answer is that we don’t know.
It’s important to consider what Clamgirl says from an in-universe standpoint. It’s easy to take this line as Clamgirl talking directly to us, the player, since she’s clearly hinting towards Deltarune - but in actuality, in the game, in-universe, she’s talking to Frisk. She’s telling Frisk that they’re going to meet Suzy very soon. It’s possible that, when it comes down to it, what Clamgirl said might not apply to us at all.
Section Four: Deltarune
In October 2018, Toby Fox not only released an entire demo for an entire new video game, but a video game with a major character named Susie. Not Suzy, but Susie???? What’s going on?
Since Deltarune seems to have an alternate universe thing going on, some people believe that Susie is simply the Deltarune universe’s version of Suzy. This is definitely a possibility, but there is also reason to believe that this may not be the case.
Deltarune also introduces a new character named Catti, who is Catty’s little sister. Like Suzy and Susie, their names are pronounced the same, but spelled slightly differently. This could be hinting at the difference between the two.
As it stands, however, we currently do not know the relation between Suzy and Susie, or if any even exists.
In any case, it is likely that Suzy will be a major part of the story of Deltarune, as the main theme of the game is called “Don’t Forget”.
Bonus: A Comment From Toby
To my knowledge, the only time that Toby has ever publicly spoken about Suzy is in this tweet, since deleted (not specifically, but because Toby wiped all his tweets before a certain date), from nine days after Undertale’s release:
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, since we’ve lost the context, it’s difficult to know who exactly “yellow kid” refers to here. The tweet was most likely in response to speculation regarding Suzy’s identity. Since Suzy’s name is written in yellow when Clamgirl speaks about her, some people assumed that Suzy may be associated with the color yellow. “Yellow kid” could be referring to Monster Kid, Frisk, or the yellow human soul. (I’ve heard people say before that this tweet is specifically in response to people speculating about Monster Kid being Suzy, but I don’t know how true that is. If anyone has any proof of this claim, let me know!)
Conclusion
Generally, when you’re writing an analysis of a character, you’re able to say more than three facts about them. There is very little we can say about Suzy, however, without delving into pure baseless speculation. Hell, we know more about Gaster, who is generally regarded as the mysterious Undertale character.
It’s very likely that we will learn more about Suzy in the future, but right now, we don’t have much to go on. However, that also means we’re free to speculate pretty much anything we want. Essentially, until proven otherwise, Suzy is whoever you want her to be..!

❤Everything goes down in a blur as the wind whips past you. You hasn't mean to fall, you tripped even though there was nothing there to trip on. You try and reach out to catch something but everything went black.
❤You open your eyes and a circle of light so far up. You try and sit up back is stopped due to the excruciating pain coursing through your head. You look around and find yourself in a patch of golden buttercups within a large cave.
❤That's when you were greeted by a echo like voice. It was masculine and had curiosity as it questioned who you were and how you came to be down here.
❤You don't answer, simply thinking it was the ringing in your head from the fall. Instead you slowly stand and make your way to a large purple door hidden away in the shadows with strange encryptions on it.
❤The voice follows you with a annoyed tone. You still ignore it and push through the door and spot a line buttercup sitting in a patch of sun.
❤You jump when the flower starts speaking and explaining what a soul is. The voice was grumbling about something but fell silent as your red soul floated out in front of you.
❤You could swear that you felt someone touching your soul.
❤The flower continues speaking and says something about friendliness pellets. White petals floated towards you and you were tempted to touch the but the voice strongly demanded you didn't.
❤You don't know what compelled you to listen but you did. As you dodge the flower grows angry yet tries to keep its composure and sends another wave of petals. You dodge again and the flower snaps.
❤Its face contorts and it let's out a demonic laugh as you shrink back and bump into something that isnt there.
❤You cover your face in a attempt to hide from the pain about to happen but a gentle femal voice speaks. She says soothing words to calm your racing heart but you refuse to look out of her due to fear and the voice who says not to.
❤It helped you before so why wouldn't it help you now?
❤The lady asks you questions but you dont answer. She goes to touch you but you feel something push you out of the way of her touch.
❤She understands you dont want to be touched and simply asks you to follow. You wait for the voice to give you instructions before you make any decision. You feel something grab your hand and lead you behind the lady, saying they'll take care of everything if you listened.
❤You continue on with your head down until she leads you to a beaten up dummy. She asks you to make polite conversation with it but your guiding voice said otherwise.
❤You use a stick to give it a firm wacking causing the fabric to rip and for stuffing to fall out. The lady pauses and awkwardly clears her throat before walking on. Before you follow you were showered with praise by the voice that, oddly, made your heart warm.
❤The lady leaves you and the voice tells you to persist on, so you do. Along the way the voice directs you the harm the monsters along the way. You listen and make it on your way barely harmed.
❤At one point you even felt feathers brush against your skin in a protective and delicate way. It was comforting and ominous at the same time but you brush it off, continuing to hold the invisible hand that guided you.
❤You finally make it to a small house. Inside was the lady who you still refuse to look at. She leads you to a room and tells you to rest. You crawl into bed and a pair of arms wrap around you tightly.
❤When you wake up you find a piece of pie laying on the ground in front of you. You cautiously eat it and venture out the room to find the lady reading. The voice tells you to head into the kitchen and grab a knife. You do as your told.
❤You then sneak past the lady and down a set of stairs and make it to another large door before the lady comes and begs you to go back. When you refuse your soul shows its self and the battle begins.
❤The voice helps you dodge and tells you to wait before you attack.
❤ Finally the lady crumbles and starts to cry. She explains how she only wants to take care of you, how she lost her family and how she wanted to start a new and take care of you. She opens her arms for you and the voice tells you to hug her. You do and you feel your grip around the knife tighter as you're told to stab her. You do as you're told.
❤Her body turns to dust and you walk out the door to see the flower. The flower says something about her death and disappeares with a evil laugh.
❤No matter, your invisible hand leads you out the door and through the chilling winter forrest. You barely noticed the branch cracking in half with blue ash falling around it.
❤You almost didn't notice the person standing in front of you. You try and lift your head to look at them but something shoved you head down, preventing that. Either way the person introduces themselves and holds out a hand.
❤You couldn't hear their name due to something whispering static in your ears and when you went to shake their hand your hand was pulled back down. You were also given a strict warning not to interact with the person in front of you.
❤You try to walk past but the person grabs your elbow and spins you so you're facing them. They then try and lift your chin so you would look at them but once again your head was being pushed down to prevent it. You could tell that the person in front of you was male.
❤The fight over your head stops as footsteps approached through the snow. The man quickly pulls you and hides you behind a oddly shaped lamp.
❤The new person arrives and you were forbidden from looking up it seemed. You listen and determine how the new person behaves due to the way he speaks. He sounds like a brat that can't stand not having his way, spoken with a raspy voice.
❤They leave and instantly you're dragged off before the man before could say anything to you.
❤You are thrown into more fights that you win, staining the snow with grey. You're also challenged with puzzles that your invisible guide helps with. It also makes sure you leave no survivors.
❤You obey.
❤It hurt watching the dogs whimper as you cut them with the dull kitchen knife but the voice was the only thing you trusted. It was right about the flower so it must be trying to help you all around. It was protecting you so you trusted it, more than yourself.
❤You reach the end of Snowdin leaving no obstacles in your wake, except the tall bratty fellow. They demanded you take them on, saying that you could change and how he'd forgive you. You fight him without hurting him as instructed by the voice. He does his final move and opens his arms to you just as the lady did. You again jump onto his arms but this time you're instructed to go for the head. With a fatal blow of betrayal and your knife his head falls to the ground.
❤You walk into the waterfall, not caring to watch the head turn to dust as well as his body.
❤You again get led by a invisible hand that showers you in praise and helps you eliminate everything in sight. You even meet a little kid along the way.
❤They blab on and on about a certain hero who's name was blurred from your hearing. You honestly thought the voice would instantly tell you to eliminate them but it said to wait. So you did.
❤Along the way you got attacked by someone with blue spears and the voice simply advised you to run. This causes you to fall down the waterfall.
❤You wake up in garbage with a sore body but your invisible companion doesn't care. You're pulled from the garage and thrown into more and more fights.
❤You see the man from before a few more times, seeing that he has multiple dark burn marks that are hard to see in the dark. At one point you wanted to go interact with him because he had a telescope but you were pulled away.
❤You find a little cove of cat like creatures that let out the saddest of cries as your knife ended them. You couldn't do anything to help them, that's what the voice wanted.
❤You meet back up with the kid from before and started getting chased by the same person with the spears. The kid slips and holds onto the side of the cliff, calling out for help. The voice tells you to make them fall. You walk over and bend down before plucking at their fingers, making them fall.
❤The hero instantly jumps down and saves them. The hand takes the time to drag you along and run.
❤Unfortunately the hero catches up and fights you. Due to their fall they were badly hurt, making the fight end a lot faster. But then the kid before confronts you, demanding you fight them. It was a lazy swipe of your blade that ended their life.
❤Everything went by quickly after that. You had managed to kill the lizard that was spying on you and complete the puzzles with ease. You even brought that cute couple's life to an end, atleast they were together.
❤You had made it to a restaurant and the guy was there too. He didn't hesitate to grab you and teleport you to a table with him. The restaurant was near empty yet the atmosphere was still lively.
❤The man's voice was muffled to you and it was hard to even pay attention to you as you were violently being yanked out of your chair. The man noticed this and yanked you back into his arms. You stood uncomfortable, feeling the rage of your invisible friend grow.
❤Your knife starts floating and darts at the man. Before he disappears he tells you to run. Sadly, it was impossible to ran as your hand was trapped in a bone crushing grip that dragged you along the way.
❤Dust coated your clothing as you entered a dark room with a spotlight. Someone with a robotic voice then started to monologue so you decided to simply attack to get the battle over with.
❤The battle fully begins and cameras float around and broadcast your fight to the very few people still alive. Your invisible friend grows irritated and seemingly possessed you. Your movements weren't your own and the thoughts in your head were playing out in a different voice.
❤The battle ended quickly and your body runs off but you didn't object or fight back. It was only trying to help you... right?
❤Your body charges though a monochrome area very similar to the ladies house from before. Your body only stops once to pick up a much sharper knife that gleamed before exiting the place. That's when you entered a large hall with stained glass decorating the walls with a line person standing in the middle, waiting.
❤There stood the man from before, but this time you could actually see his face. His face was decorated with burn marks yet he was still very attractive.
❤You started talking but it wasnt in your voice. It held malace towards the man for being in the way. The man held a calm expression before attacking. Blue flames and bones erupted from the ground, aiming to kill you.
❤Somehow your body dodges all attacks thrown at it and so does the man. It was almost like they've fought countless times before with different stories behind each time but this time was different. Someone didnt follow the rules, someone got involved when they shouldn't have.
❤This would be their last fight together.
❤The man started sweating as your body continued at the same incredibly fast pace. You didn't want the man to die but if your guide said so it must happen.
❤The final blow was dealt and the man felt to the ground clutching his bleeding chest. You felt as if in a different timeline or universe the two of you could've been great friends, lovers even, but this wasn't one of them.
❤You continue to be a passenger in your own body and it pushes on through another set of doors. Not before hearing the man say a final and heartfelt goodbye to the world he called home.
❤That's when the final battle of your journey starts. It was the king this time. You barely had time to look at his face before he was dust.
❤A final push through some doors and you're back in a dark room with the only light falling on a lone flower. You regain control over your body as the flower starts talking but it was interrupted by something invisible cutting it at the stem.
❤That's when you see him. Your guide with the cold eyes and blood red wings.
❤He happily turns to you and grabs you. You felt an unbearable amount of unease as he whispers how he'll take care of you, how no one will hurt you, how he'll always love you, how you could never leave him now.
💔Then everything went black.
💔GAME OVER.

The Dreemurr Fortune: Prologue
Asriel Dreemurr was stolen from his bedroom at some point during the night on November 11th, 1921. He was just seventeen, just about to step into his role as an adult Dreemurr. The family was famous and rich, partially due to their restaurant chain, and partially due to their real estate and construction company, and also just because they were famous for being rich and rich because they were famous.
Toriel, the mother, was a sort of sex symbol and had spent her youth modeling, whereas Asgore had been born into the Dreemurr family and had always been a business man.
It was thought that Toriel couldn't get pregnant, so they adopted a young girl when they were ready to have kids, and then the shock came about a year and a half after that, when Toriel found out she was, in fact, pregnant…
Asriel Dreemurr was the cute little darling of the family, with his fluffy white fur and his bright green eyes, he was quite an attractive young man. Beloved.
He got to be about 17, and that was the last anyone saw him. It was thought that he had disappeared from his room, kidnapped, perhaps, but regardless… after two years they had to have a funeral for him. Had to accept that he was gone forever.
Only he wasn't. Asriel wasn't dead, wasn't even lost. He was happy. The heir to the Dreemurr empire had been stolen from his bed, yes, but it's much more complicated than that.
A young, mysterious woman by the name of Chara, had ordered his kidnapping. The heir to the Dreemurr fortune, stolen from his room, less than a year before his eighteenth birthday. The family would certainly pay a lot of money to get him back. And Chara was counting on that.
Chara wasn't just a common criminal, it would take more smarts than that to execute a kidnapping of a member of the richest and most protected monster family in the country-hell, possibly the world. And Chara was smart enough. Bold enough. Had the means to do it.
Chara was queen of the Underground. At just 22 years old, she had a total of 3 years experience under her belt being leader, too. She had successfully identified the leader of this Underground society, seduced him, murdered him, and took his place. All while she was nineteen, too. And the Underground was thriving under her rule, more than it had ever been.
The City Under The City, as it was nicknamed. Chara ruled all.
All she needed was something big, something nobody could ignore, to really set herself apart from her predecessors. And Asriel Dreemurr that was just that.
She had sent a few of her people to get him with a perfectly planned course of action to achieve this. The Dreemurrs had 24 hour security patrolling their Manor, but these patrolmen were humans and monsters- and humans and monsters make mistakes. Sometimes pay attention to one thing, while a more serious thing happens right behind them.
Chara had racoons released at their fence, distracting the guards that were patrolling around the western side of the Manor, where Asriel's bedroom was.
In the dead of night two women, two of Chara's most trusted underlings, climbed up to his window, and shattered it to get inside.
Asriel woke up to the sound of shattering glass, but was promptly gagged, sedated, and carried off with a cloth bag over his head. Never to be seen again.
When he regained consciousness he was in a dark room, tied to a chair. He couldn't move his arms or legs.
It was only natural that the pampered Dreemurr heir was scared.
The lights came on, revealing an extravagant throne with a silver base and a red cushioned seat and back, black accents and details all over. And in that throne? Perhaps an even more impressive woman.
She had a vibrant, fire engine red pixie cut, which complimented her lightly sun-kissed skin, her eyes were red, like nothing Asriel had ever seen before on a human, and her cheekbones were high, very defined. But perhaps what got his attention the most was her lips. Painted black, she had a defined cupid's bow, and her lower lip was bigger than her top lip.
She was strung across her chair, sitting sideways with a pair of very toned, almost muscular legs positioned over the right armrest of the chair. She swung them back over to be in front of her, and then rose to her feet.
She was very fit all around, actually. Muscular legs, toned arms, a pear shaped figure, all graced her medium build. And she was tall. Probably aided by the black heels she wore, but she towered over Asriel, especially with him tied down to the chair like this.
To say he is intimidated would be an understatement.
His fingers twitched. If his mother wasn't so insistent on him keeping his claws trimmed down he might have been able to tear through this rope and set himself free.
"I never intended to show you my face, Asriel Dreemurr." She began.
Her voice was low, but so, so melodic. It made Asriel's ears twitch.
"I intended to extract payment from your family, and then perhaps execute you publicly. All without you ever knowing what's happening. And yet, I've found myself in quite the trouble…"
She walked towards him as she spoke, gently feeling his soft, fluffy ears when she reached him.
"You're too cute to kill." She grinned, revealing some razer-sharp fangs similar to what you would see in a vampire movie.
Asriel was frozen. He couldn't speak, he could barely breathe.
"I've grown lonely, Asriel… pathetic, isn't it? My self imposed social isolation has created something it was intended to destroy. A weakness."
Chara cringed at her own words.
"And so, I've decided, that if I'm to have a weakness whether I isolate myself from connection either way, I will choose the weakness that minimizes my negative emotions. I will choose to have an attachment rather than a longing. What I'm getting at, is… I will not kill you, nor will I extract money from your family, so long as you stay with me."
All this information at once overwhelmed Asriel. But after a few moments of silence, it became clear to him what he needed to do.
"Would you be surprised if I said I would rather stay here?"
Chara looked surprised. So it could be assumed that, yes, she would be further surprised to hear Asriel say that.
She had expected it to be a long, tedious process to get him to choose her over his family.
Asriel looked down at himself. Even his pajamas were lavish, silk. His fur was finely groomed and conditioned. He had never known hunger or poverty. But it was all at a price. A price too high for him to pay, it seemed.
"My parents expect me to inherit their fortune when they die. And in less than a year I am to start taking control of some of the businesses. My image is constantly prioritized over my sense of self, I…" he shook his head, a fear tears made the fur underneath his eyes wet.
"It is so much pressure. I've considered death before submitting to the future they want for me. But this seems like another option. A way out." He looked up, his green eyes meeting her red ones.
"I will give my life to you if you promise me protection. Promise not to hurt me, and instead shield me. I would rather be a nobody, hidden away from the public eye, than be a Dreemurr. I want to be Asriel."
The desire to disappear was something Chara could relate to. Was that not her desire at nineteen? To disappear from the consequences of her delinquency and seek power, rather than poverty?
She pulled a knife from a holder underneath her dress, and simply cut Asriel free.
"I believe we've come to an agreement, Asriel."
She had such a dazzling, enchanting smile. And she couldn't wipe it off of her face as she extended a hand to Asriel and helped him up out of the rather uncomfortable wooden chair.
Asriel was taking a leap of faith. Anything, he thought, would be better than becoming another Mr. Dreemurr. And if that anything consisted of such an attractive young woman? He would gladly accept his fate.
Still, a thought lingered in the back of his head for his sister.
Frisk deserves the fortune, the power. She's always had such good ideas about what to do with the fortune and how she could benefit the community. She's a business woman at heart. Always has been.
Asriel knew that Frisk would miss him. But this is just something he had to do.
~
Chara rarely appears in public. But she made an exception today for the very public funeral of her beloved, and definitely not dead, Asriel.
Her hair had grown out into a bob, and she wore regular sunglasses, and dressed in a black dress. The funeral was indoors, so she looked slightly overdressed with her big black coat and the sunglasses still on. But she didn't want anybody to look at her. She just wanted to observe. Get to know Asriel from the point of view of people who didn't really know him, she supposed.
Nobody really knew Asriel, except for her. And it proved true in the speeches all of these people gave. Vague, and sometimes completely false information about Asriel, was spread and celebrated at his own funeral. Chara was disgusted.
That is, until a young Latina woman took the stage. She was about 5'8, curly brown hair that fell just above her shoulders. Asriel's sister, Chara guessed.
"I'd like to start this off by saying thank you to everyone who came here to celebrate my brother. He's a good person and a better sibling." She began.
Chara immediately took note that this woman spoke of Asriel in the present tense. She suspected denial.
"He's brilliant, isn't he?" She smiled sadly.
Chara prepared herself for another series of false statements. But this woman didn't seem to have much of anything false to say.
"I was two years old when Asriel was born. I don't remember it. In fact, I think my very first memory was when he was two. He was such a pain… always wanted to take my toys away from me, always wanted to pull my hair, poke me… It was like he lived to make little four year old me miserable. That… that never changed. He's always loved to irritate me. But our most tender moments consisted of him being very raw with me. Very, deeply honest." She had to dry a stray tear on her cheek.
"When he was twelve Asriel told me he wished that I would take over as the primary heir instead of him. I laughed at him. Why would anybody ever turn down such an opportunity, y'know? But he always listened to my big ideas and plans for charities and thought I would be a better heir. Over and over I mimicked our parent's words, that I'm a woman, that I'm adopted, that I'm their darling and they never want me to have to work a day in my life, that Asriel was meant to be the heir."
Some people were notably uncomfortable, squirming in their seats. Sweating.
"When Asriel was fourteen he told me he'd rather kill himself than become another Mr Dreemurr."
There was whispers in the crowd. A man in a black suit came and grabbed the woman's arms, beginning to pull her away from the microphone. But she got two more sentences out, tears in her eyes…
"I know that wherever he is, he's happy to not be just another rich man giving orders. That's the last thing he ever wanted to be."
It seems Chara may not be the only one here that truly understood Asriel.
But she's the only one to know that these people are having a funeral for a young man who is very much alive.

Reset: Welcome to the Underground: Chapter 5
As the next two days went by, Frisk started getting worried. Don't get her wrong, she loved the time that she spent with Tori. But she was starting to worry that she might never make it out of this mountain. She HAD to keep going. But she couldn't bear the thought of leaving not only Toriel, but also the other sweet monsters that were trapped down here.
As she tried to come up with a strategy plan for her escape, she passed by the living room window and something caught her eyes. It was that strange glowing yellow star. It was just there, floating right outside the window. She went outside and stood right in front of it. An idea popped in her head and started to rub her chin thoughtfully. She then decided to test this little idea of hers through via a second witness. "Toriel! Can you come here for a minute?"
Toriel was just finished making a nice and warm dinner for her and Frisk when the young adult called for her. Tori wondered what was wrong. She hoped it wasn't a monster coming to pick a fight with her. As she walked outside to where Frisk was she asked, "What's wrong dear? Is there something or someone bothering you?"
Frisk turned to Tori and shook her head slightly in a "no" nod. Then decided to put her idea into action. "Tori? Can you look to where I'm looking right now and tell me what you see?" Toriel looked confused at her for a minute but obliged to her request. She looked over to where Frisk was looking at but saw nothing there. Just old fallen red leaves from her old maple tree. "Do you see anything Tori? And tell me the truth, even if it's weird." Toriel looked even more confused if that was even possible, and said, "Dear there is nothing there. I maybe see a few old tree leaves. But that's it. Nothing out of the ordinary. Well ordinary as it goes down here, but you know what I mean." Now it was Frisk's turn to look confused and even a little frustrated and disappointed. How can she not see it?! It's RIGHT there!!! Glowing as bright as a lighthouse beacon!
Toriel noticed the expressions on Frisk's face and sighed. "Well, anyways. It is time for dinner. Come back inside and wash up. I'll call you when dinner has cooled down a little." After Tori left Frisk couldn't help but glare in frustration at the little star.
Suddenly a familiar and unwelcome voice piped in from behind her. "You know, staring at it won't get you anywhere except for a few awkward stares from other monsters and maybe a headache. Well, depending how long you stare at it without blinking. Idiot."
Frisk immediately turned around behind her. And low and behold, there was the one and only Flowey. He smiled at her with a snarky smile with one "eyebrow" raised in amusement.
"W-what are you doing here?!" Frisk quickly and frantically asked while she backed up a step with caution. "You do realize that we're in front of Tori's house right?! I don't think you want to be a fire roasted weed." Frisk hissed in defense, getting ready to call Tori at any second.
Flowey's raised brow twitched in irritation and his amused smile tensed up at the all-to- familiar nickname that a certain lazy skeletal figure had come to call him by. "Okay, listen up brat," he started with his own defensive time. "First off, don't call me "Weed". Secondly, I just came by to give you a heads-up on what's going to happen VE~RY soon." He said the last part very mysterious and evilly.
Frisk flinched when she heard his all too creepy tone of voice and said, "Okay? Yeah? Well… first off, don't call me a brat! I'm eighteen! A legal adult by human standards. I don't know how it goes for you monsters down here with your age system, but technically I'm a woman and a lady and should be treated as such!"
Frisk breathed in and then out to calm her nerves. She hated when she was being looked down on just because of how young she looked and the fact that she was an orphan. And that she honestly preferred monsters and myths over humans and reality. So whenever someone made a comment about the way she looked or what her tastes were in terms of her hobbies, she got really mad and defensive. And if she didn't tolerate that from above with her kind, she as heck wasn't going to let some prick-like monsters push her around just because of what she is.
"Secondly," she started again, "what do you mean by that?" She asked warily. Flowey smiled manically and explained that those stars, that she now sees, are called 'Save Points'. And that, while she's stuck down here, Everytime she "dies" and "resets", she ends up back in time to where she "saved" at the star.
Frisk couldn't help but make her more previous thought known to the evil looking flower. "What is this, a video game? Because this sounds too much like one." Flowey didn't respond and looked away from her in a way that said, "Yeah-----😑, pretty much."
Frisk, not wanting to tempt Fate with her devilish tricks with reality, stupidly asked, "How can I know for sure that what you're saying is true?" Flowery then smiled smugly. "Well why don't you touch it and see what happens, huh~?"
Frisk wasn't sure at first but proceeded to reach out to the star and touch it. And right there and then an all too familiar screen popped up before her. "DO YOU WANT TO SAVE? YES OR NO." Frisk gulped and pressed for the "YES" option. Suddenly the star glowed a bright yellow and then turned full yellow. "Okay? What happens ne---". She was cut off short when her Soul was pierced by one of Flowey's thorny vines. "What happens next, is that you die!!!" As her Soul shattered and her vision was being consumed by the darkness, she could hear Flowey's loud maniacal laughter and Frisk could faintly hear Toriel's worried voice calling her name.
When Frisk woke up, she was in the void again. But instead of hearing the unknown male's voice encouraging her to keep going, she heard a different and all too familiar voice instead. "Well, that was stupid." The voice said bluntly and driely. "Did you seriously JUST walk into that, that easily? How can someone be outsmarted by a FLOWER of all things? I swear, you're too much like him sometimes…" The feminine voice said the last part like whoever she was talking about, she dearly missed.
But before Frisk could ask her a question she started first, "O-KAY, so. Let's get down to business. I would first like to introduce myself. My name is Chara and I am currently one of many occupants that resides here in the "Void". Secondly, what I am exactly is that I'm a human ghost. I died a long time ago and how I died is none of your business. But what IS your business, is that, out of the seven Soul traits, you have the same Soul trait as mine was. Meaning..."
She trailed off for a minute in thought. But Frisk brought her out of her thoughts. "Meaning…? And also, do you mind if you show yourself? It makes it easier to talk to someone instead of talking to an empty void."
Chara giggled at this. "Meaning that you're the last element of the Soul traits that can release the monsters from underground. And it's my job to make sure that you make it out of the underground alive. And sure, give me a second."
Slowly a figure of a young girl that looked almost like Frisk appeared before her. Only this girl was paler in comparison to Frisk's tan skin. And the girl's hair was more of a Chocolate brown than a dirty brown like Frisk's. And Frisk couldn't help but note that Chara had amber brown eyes but they were such a deep shade that they almost looked red. And with a small mischievous smile, Chara asked, "Like what you see~?" She giggled as Frisk's face went red with embarrassment from staring at her for too long.
Chara then went back to the matter at hand, "Anyways, we need to talk about a few things before you can continue and that the old man can give you one of his encouraging pep talks." Right then and there, Frisk could've sworn that she heard someone grumble in the darkness. Chara apparently heard this as well and just rolled her eyes in a "whatever" manner.
"Okay Frisk, the first thing that we need to talk about is that we STAY AWAY from the talking flower. All he wants is your Soul. The reason we shatter your Soul like that 💔, is too prevent monsters or anything else from getting their grubby hands on it."
"But why do the monsters want my Soul so badly? I mean, I know Souls are powerful, but I don't see why they need mine so bad. Why is mine so special? Is there something you're not telling me?"
Chara sighed. "I was getting to that Frisk. Like I said before, your Soul is the last one they need in order to be released from their prison. And before you say anything, it's because the spell that our ancestors put on the mountain has one weakness. Using seven Souls to seal the monsters away the same can be said vice versa." Chara looked at Frisk skeptically. "I can assume that you know the story of our ancestors and the war they waged on the monsters?" Frisk frantically shook her head up and down. "Most of Ebott has remembered the story. But it's been so long, that it's turned to what it is. A story. To scare children no less. But I've always felt sympathy for the monsters of the mountain. I always wanted to help them in some way or another, but even after years of research, I couldn't find anything. The others always made fun of me for believing in fairy tales, but I always tried to ignore them. If dying is what it takes to set them free. Then I wouldn't mind giving up my Soul for others who deserve freedom and a normal life." Frisk looked to her feet while smiling thoughtfully.
Chara on the other hand looked shocked, amazed, but yet angry. Shocked and amazed that she would give up her life for others in such an unselfish manner. But she was angry that this wonderful girl would give up her life so easily without batting an eyelash. Doesn't she have ANY hope for having a happy life above ground? What happened to her in order for her faith to shake so strongly? Chara's metaphorical blood boiled at the thought of her wretched kind harming a fellow monster lover like herself.
Chara reached out to Frisk, gently held her chin, and tilted it upwards where she can see Frisk's golden brown eyes. "Frisk, we understand your determination to free the monsters. We really do. It's what both of our Soul traits are made up of. But me and the old man are trying to figure out a way to free them without you sacrificing yourself. A while back, when the monsters were JUST sealed away, a prophecy was foretold. "An angel will fall from above and free us all." Thus the monsters Runic symbol was made to represent that prophecy. But what most of the monster population doesn't know is that the prophecy foretold that the angel will lead the monsters back above ground and become the symbol between humans and monsters. An ambassador of sorts. So that means, whatever happens to you, won't be pretty. But, we promise that you'll make it out of this alive. We're working on a theory as we speak but we're not entirely sure if it's full-proof yet if you're still in the Ruins."
Frisk looked shocked at the fact that the prophecy was possibly talking about her. Ambassador? Really? Her? But if Chara was telling the truth, then that would explain the weird symbol above the doorways and on Tori's robe.
But now she was determined more than ever to try to make it out of the Ruins. She was about to say something, but Chara interrupted her before she could get a word in. "I know you're trying to come up with a plan of escape now but you need to keep in mind of something. Toriel has lost a lot of important people in her life. More than a mother and wife should go through. There might be a possibility that she won't let you go. Even if you ask her nicely, there might not be a good ending for you. You might even end up here a few more times because of her. And before you even ask, nobody will remember that you died or that you reset. Very few actually remember. One of them being that flower. He's more than he appears to be. So you need to watch your back from now on. So are you up for the challenge?" Chara questioned.
Frisk was hesitant at first, but Determination filled her Soul. So, with her golden brown eyes full of hard emotion, she nodded in approval. Chara smiled a soft smile. She held out her hand for Frisk to take and said, "Nice to know you agree, partner." As Frisk took Chara's hand to shake. And as soon as she did, the option window came up behind her. Frisk looked behind her and used her other hand to press, 'Continue'.
Before she even knew it, a blinding light overtook her and she was back in front of Tori's house.
She looked around frantically for the offending talking flower. But he was nowhere to be seen. Which, was, in hindsight, a relief for Frisk. But she had another problem. Toriel.
"How am I going to break it to her? I doubt she'll let me leave so easily. What do I do?!"
Just then Toriel called out for Frisk to come inside for dinner. "Oh, well. I'll figure it out as I go." She thought to herself. Basically, she was going to wing it.
And wing it she did. (If you've ever played this game then you probably already know that she epically failed at least a dozen times).
Now facing off with Toriel once again at the entrance to the rest of the underground, she just about had it with her and was going to FIGHT her. But then she thought better of it. She took a deep breath and remained calm. She kept hitting the MERCY option. Which in turn, made Toriel so emotional that she purposely kept missing her with her fireballs. Until finally, she gave up.
Frisk saw her crying and went up to her and gave her a hearty hug. Toriel looked shocked at first but then melted into the hug and gave an affectionate kiss on top of her dark brown hair. "Even though we've only known each other for a short amount of time, it feels as if you're one of my own flesh and blood child. I love you Frisk. Never forget that. I'll be praying for your safety. And you can call me anytime you want. Just, don't forget me, okay?" Toriel whispered sweetly to her like a mother would.
Now it was Frisk's turn to start crying. After their ten minute goodbye Tori left to go back upstairs. Frisk took a deep breath and walked through the door. She kept walking down the corridors until she saw "him".
"Well it's about time you finally got here! I was starting to think that you actually might've stayed with that old hag." Flowey said in a cocky-like manner with a smug face. Frisk wanted to rip him apart right then and there but reframed from doing that and followed Chara's advice and stayed a good few feet from him. She put on her famous stoic face that she KNEW made others uncomfortable.😑
"... That's, uh, a pretty intimidating (?) face you're making there." Flowey said in an uncomfortable manner. "Well anyways, we both know that you can't keep up this PACIFIST charade for much longer. I mean, you're a human. Violence is in your nature. THAT I know for certain." As Flowey said this he looked a little solemn? Frisk was about to ask him about it, he cut her off before she could talk. "Anyways, you'll mess up sooner or later. And when you do, I'll be waiting~. It's only a matter of time~. See you later~..."
As he said this, he went back into the ground and was gone. Frisk relaxed her face and saw the last set of the huge double doors. "OKAY! Let's do this!!!" Frisk said as she pushed her way outside. But little did she know, that's when things were going to get REAL interesting.
To be continued...

UNDERSIDE (Test version) chapter 3
[Start] [Previous] [Next]
Chapter 3: “Something new”
Jack: (In bed) (Awake) (Rises up) Oooowww… (Rubs head) My head, what a weird dream…
Serjel: (Walks in) Jackson Ace Side, for how long are you going to sleep?
Saldels: (Walks in) (Comes to Jack) Wake up, bro! It’s already noon.
Jack: Yeah-yeah, sis. (Rises) And, dad…please, don’t call me by my FULL NAME.
It looks like last…RESETS erased some parts of my memories, but it happened twice already. Maybe because of this I almost completely forgot who am I exactly and thought that broken UNDERTALE timeline was my home and MY UNIVERSE…?
Anyway, in this world, monsters have been living on the surface for 10 years. And humans are not afraid of monsters anymore. Well, except for…who look really weird… Now I’m 6 six years old, and Saldels, my sister, is 5. We have a father, his name is Serjel Ace Side–he is a HUMAN ROYAL SCIENTIST, he is as smart as W.D. Gaster – THE ROYAL SCIENTIST, who works under Asgore – KING OF THE MONSTERKIND.
By the way, Serjel is one of the 7 soul mages, 7 the most strong mages in whole world history. Even if there 8 of them, cause Chara & Frisk are the only humans with souls of determination. As for Serjel, he is the strongest mage of JUSTICE, he also called: “Sniper of justice”. Like in the UNDERTALE, exist only 7 kinds of human souls: PERSEVERANCE, BRAVERY, KINDNESS, PATIENTS, JUSTICE, INTEGRITY, and DETERMINATION. Depending on the kind of soul, you can have a magical weapon. But… exceptions exist too. Serjel for example. He doesn’t have a magical weapon, he can only concentrate and control the energy of JUSTICE.
The easiest way to find out the kind of soul is to find out its color. Well…that’s not my case… The color of my soul–is WHITE, like the monster’s soul. But on the other hand, I have an ability that no one has, except for Sans. It’s a teleporting. And I thought this the only magic, which I can use.   I thought like that till one day… I was just walking around with Sans and Papyrus, like every Friday. Then, I’ve seen something, what I still can’t forget: my sister was surrounded by some jerks and MY FRIEND Eline Airelle… Only for a moment, but I wanted to kill all of them.
I teleported and appeared in front of them, and while Sal was behind me, I attacked them with a skeletons’ magic and even summoned Gaster Blasters. All of them were scared to death, but Eline looked like, that I BETRAYED her. Then, she called me: “MONSTER”, but I didn’t react, I just told her to go away, and she did. Sans and Papyrus came to me and Saldels, brought us home and told everything that happened to our father and Gaster. Since that day, I have started to hate people, who just afraid of monsters, because of their looks. Judging by this logic, I can be called a MONSTER too…
DAY: 10 JULY YEAR: 2030 TIME: 8:37 PM
[Serjel, Saldels and Jack’s flat…]
[Living room…]
Jack: (Lying on the couch)
Saldels: (Comes in) What’s on your mind, bro?
Jack: (Noticed Saldels) Well…I don’t care about it too much, but being called a “MONSTER”…
Saldels: (Sat next to Jack) Cheer up, bro. You can do what any other human can’t do.
Jack: (Smiled) Pfft… (Turns to Saldels) Like what?
Saldels: You can teleport, absorb and copy magic, use monsters’ magic and even deadly wounds heal on you as nothing happened.
Jack: (Looks up) Like a monster…
Saldels: Well, monsters can absorb only human souls, but you can absorb ANY kind of magic.
Jack: And ANY soul too, what even worse…
[Scilence…]
Saldels: (Looks up) Do you remember…THAT day…?
Jack: When dad tried to cook something and accidentally almost burned down the kitchen…?
Saldels: Pfftt… No, not that. When you saved me from…
Jack: Eline…?
Saldels: (Looks down) Yeah…when you almost attacked her and the others…
Jack: (Turned to Saldels) Do you remember, that I could kill them?
Saldels: Yes, I do. (Turned to Jack) And I remember how SAD and ANGRY were you…
Jack: What kind of brother would leave his sister alone in this kind of situation?
Saldels: (Looked away) I would… If they were hurting you, I would just run away like a coward.
Jack: (Sigh) (Pats Saldels’ head) Cut it out, sis. Coward or not, you sitting next to a monster, who everyone hates and afraid of.
Saldels: Except for me and dad.
Jack: Yeah–Yeah…
Saldels: And Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Toriel, Asgore, Dr. Gaster, Mettaton…
DAY: 10 JULY YEAR: 2030 TIME: 9:43 PM
[Somewhere in the Ebott–city…]
[Raining…]
Jack: (Soaked) (Annoyed) Uughhh…why the hospital is so far? I know dad is a DOCTOR, but I didn’t think that he works as a real doctor too.
?????: (From behind) Heh–heh…hello, Jack.
Jack: (Frozen in fear) (Looked back)
?????: And GOODBYE!!!!!! (Slashes Jack)
Jack: Gghhaaaa…! (In pain) (Turns around)
?????: (Slashes Jack at the right arm)
Jack: Nngghaa…!!! (Fell down while holding his right hand tight) Wh-who the hell…are you…?
?????: The last person, who you see… (Holds knife above itself)
Jack: (Teleported)
?????: Aww… (Put the knife down) what a pity…
[Near the hospital…]
Jack: (Flew into the wall) (Landed roughly) (Lost conscious)
[A few moments ago…]
[Hospital…]
Serjel: (Walks through the corridor) What should I do…? It’s almost tomorrow and I still don’t know what gifts I should choose for Jack and Saldels. Hmm…(Noticed noises from outside)
[In front of the central entrance to the hospital…]
Serjel: (Notices Jack) (Shocked)
Jack: (Lying on the ground) (Bleeding)
Serjel: (Comes to Jack) Jack, what happened to you?! Come on, answer me…
Jack: (Coughs) Dad… (Looks at Serjel) Is that you…?
Serjel: (Worried) Yeah, it’s me. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. I promise.   (Picks Jack up) (Ran into the hospital)
Serjel’s thoughts: (Runs through the corridors) I’ll save my son, whatever it takes…
[Several hours later…]
DAY: 11 JULY YEAR: 2030 TIME: 7:39 AM
[Jack’s camera…]
Jack: (Awaking) Ughh…what… happened to me?
W.D.Gaster: (Sits next to Jack)You almost died, young Side.
Jack: (Still tired) Oh… (Turned to Gaster) Hey, doctor Gaster… What’s up?
Serjel: (Ran into the room) Ahh… Phew, thank God, you are ok…
Jack: (Raised a bit) Hey, dad…
Saldels: (Running through the hall) Broooooo…! (Ran into the room) (Jumped to Jack)
Jack: Oh–oh…
Saldels: (Landed on Jack)
Jack: Uugghh…! Sal…
Saldels: (Crying) (Hugs Jack) I–I thought you would die…
Jack: (Smiles) Don’ worry, sis. (Rubs Saldels’ head) It’s not that easy to kill a monster…
Papyrus: (Running through the hall) Huuuumaaaan…!
Jack: (Already regret) But I think I know what might kill me…
Papyrus: (Ran into the room) (Grabbed Jack) (Hugs Jack) (Cries) I’m so glad that you are alive!
Jack: (Choked) Pap…please…put me down…
Papyrus: Nyeh–heh–heh, I knew that I–The Great Papyrus will help with my mighty hug.
Jack: Actually, I think I’m dying…
Papyrus: Oh… Nyeh–heh… Sorry… (Put Jack on a bed)
Sans: (Comes in) I don’t blame them, kiddo. I already thought that you died.
Alphys: (Comes in) M–me too…
Undyne: (Broke in) Nnnggaaa… I knew that you didn’t die, punk!
Sans: You almost cried the ocean of tears. (Dodged from Undyne's spear)
Undyne: SHUT UP!
W.D.Gaster: Ghm–ghm, by the way, Jack. (Turned to Jack) How’s your arm?
Jack: My arm? Oh, this… (Looked at right arm) (Raised right arm) I think… it’s okay.
Saldels: (Looks at Jack’s right arm) Wow, bro. Now your way cooler than before.
Jack: You think so…?
Sans: I agree with your sister, now there’s MORE THAN ENOUGH METAL IN YOUR BODY.
Jack: (Looks at Sans) (Annoyed) Sans…
Sans: But seriously, it’s strange that your arm didn’t recover.
W.D.Gaster: Looks like that person, who you met, knew your weakness. Don’t you remember what did he used against you?
Jack: I don’t know. But…it felt like nothing, and yet…it felt so familiar. Like I knew what is it...
Serjel: I really shouldn’t say it, but I’m impressed that magic which able to hurt you exists.
Jack: Actually, every kind of attack can hurt me… (Rubs head) but it strangely doesn’t give me much damage like… (Sigh) let me better show. (Snaped)
[Jack’s Stats: ATK: 5  DEF: 10  HP: 10]
Jack: (Looks down) (Feeling down) I survived, even with such low stats…
Sans’ thoughts: It’s strange stats for a human. Though, I still can’t understand why his arm didn’t recover yet. Judging from ME and ASGORE, this kid is almost unbeatable. Looks like it wasn’t a HUMAN or a MONSTER.
Jack: Anyway… (Turned to Gaster) you wanted to tell me something, didn’t you, Gaster?
W.D.Gaster: Yes, me and your father working on the project: “Fragmentation”. (Looks at Jack) I wanted to ask you to join it, but I had to wait.
Serjel: (Worried) If you don’t want it’s okay, it’s your life, so…
Jack: I agree. At least, I’ll do something useful for once.
Saldels: (Raised arm) Me too. I want to help with the project too.
Serjel: (Shocked) What…?!
Jack: (Looks at Serjel) C’mon, dad. You know, that Sal is too smart for school.
W.D.Gaster: Okay, Saldels, but you’ll be your father’s assistant.
Serjel: Gaster…!!!
Alphys: D–don’t f–forget that I’m in this project t–too…
Undyne: I’m gonna train you till death, punk!!!!!
Jack: (Confused) Thanks, but I think I’ll pass the deadly training… But like I said: I agree. (Looks at Saldels) And tomorrow is your birthday too, sister.
Saldels: Oh, yeah. I almost forgot.
Serjel: Then, I have to bake two pies.
Jack: Better ask Toriel, you’ll burn the kitchen again…

Undertale characters in an amusement park
Heya ! So, I had a homework on Tolkien to do, and I didn’t want to do it, so I did this headcanon list instead. That’s called intelligent procrastinating.
The trip to the amusement park :
Asgore borrowed a big car so anyone can fit in. Maybe it was not a good idea, because it is absolute C H A O S.
At first, Papyrus and Undyne wanted to play UNO. Alphys explained the rules of the game to them, but it didn’t stop them to throw the cards at each other after a few seconds, then Papyrus threw a bone, then Undyne threw a spear, then Papyrus threw a bigger bone back, then Undyne threw an even bigger spear back...
Toriel and Sans are sending knock knock jokes on their phone. You can hear Toriel giggling from time to time. Well... At least for the ten first minuts. After that, Sans fell asleep.
Frisk and Chara tried a dare or truth that ending by the two of them yelling angrily at each other as Frisk always give flirting dares or truth to Chara.
They put Gaster in the back so that nothing could happened to him. Except, maybe it was not a good idea to put him on the lunch. He is kinda absorbing the lunch.
Mettaton is posing behind Asgore seat. He almost knocked it off while extending a leg.
Alphys listened a porn audio book and forgot to put her headphones... Undyne kept teasing her about this for weeks.
The children attractions :
Well, actually, Sans was too small to enter some attractions, so he spend most of his day in the kid section.
Well, by staying in the kid section, I mean he went on the carousel and spend HOURS on it, at the point some parents thought he was part of it and tried to put kids on him.
At some point, Gaster joined him for some reason and started an akward conversation. Sans ditched him.
The family attractions :
The first one they did together was the family inflatable massive buoys. There was a wheel in the center to make it spin. Undyne and Papyrus wanted to spin. They spined so much Asgore throw up on Chara. Toriel had to hold Sans on her knees because he was too small to travel alone apparently. Sans is holding to her like a koala because he is terryfying of how fast the thing is going and he is really scared for his one HP.
After that, they went on a train trip through the zoo part of the park. Alphys and Undyne took selfies with a tiger, then Undyne got out of the train and suplex the tiger because she could before running back in the train. Sans is making pun of EVERY animal they crossed way with. Papyrus is bored and asking every ten seconds if it’s over. Asgore and Toriel are actually the only ones really enjoying the trip. Meanwhile, Frisk was trying to wash Chara in the toilets...
The last one they done all together was the huge pirate ship. Undyne and Papyrus went each one at the opposite ends of the boat and basically started a screaming contest with all the people of the attraction. Sans thought it would be a cool attraction, but when it started to go higher, he high-pitched screamed out of terror. Sans is really scared of heights. Fortunately, he had to sit between Toriel and Asgore because of his small heigh and they just pat him on the head until it was other. At one point, Metatton climb somehow on the mast and sang a random Titanic song dramatically, and Sans was even more scared. Chara was also laughing hysterically because of how Sans was scared despite using GRAVITY magic.
The haunted mansion :
Papyrus covered his eyes all along because the skeletons were naked. Frisk teased him by complementing their “big bones”.
Undyne scared the shit out of the actors because they were not scary enough. She also stole a chainsaw somehow and kept it. Alphys was mostly trying to convince her to drop it.
Chara found a fake knife and threw it at Sans. Both of them teleported. Legends said you could hear Megalovania playing in the distance.
Asgore held Toriel like a koala and she just sighed in resignation.
The thrill attractions :
Undyne dragged Papyrus in a roller-coaster challenge. Poor Papyrus passed out in the few first second of the thing. Undyne took selfies of him passing out.
Chara ate a fly and choke while Frisk was trying to save their life.
Asgore tried one roller-coaster ride and decided to join Sans and Gaster in the kid section afterwards.
Toriel actually enjoyed it and both her and Undyne spend the last of the day on it.
The arcade attractions :
Sans beat every arcade stand that met his way. He won a mountain of plushies and give toys to random children. The stands animators are hating him. Chara called him a cheater, so he engaged a friend fight and absolutely destroyed them in the arcade videogame room.
Papyrus is the second best. I mean, do you think you can puzzle the puzzle master ? He also won a lot of plushies, but who are you kidding, they are all for him. He already gave them names.
Frisk challenged Asgore in a punchingball fight. Asgore hit so hard the ball never got down.
The clown show :
Toriel and Sans laughed hysterically at every joke.
Papyrus didn’t, but then, the clowns asked for a volunteer. He pushed every kid that was on his way and impose himself on the scene. What a mistake. The clown engaged him in a pun contest. At the end, Papyrus was crying because of how digusting he was of himself. Nothing could calm down Toriel and Sans now. Sans was choking on his seat and had film everything. Poor Papyrus is going to regret this for weeks.
One stupid clown crushed a whipped cream tart on Undyne’s face. Everyone had to run after her to prevent a murder.
The shops :
Undyne and Alphys found old animes that had absolutely nothing to do with the park themes but bought them anyways.
Sans had to stop Papyrus from buying more plushies. Papyrus had to stop Sans from buying more italians ice creams.
Frisk dragged Chara into a photo session with parrots. The parrot didn’t like Chara and attacked them. Frisk bought the photo and Chara tried to destroy them.
Toriel just bought a book and a mug.
Asgore bought a book and a mug for Toriel but she didn’t want it so he gave it to Mettaton instead.
Mettaton sold his merch to the saler, somehow.
The return trip :
Toriel drove this time. Almost everyone slept in the car after that.
Well, except Papyrus, who found the porn audiobook of Alphys and enjoyed it until he asked innocently why there was a lot of pets sounds if it was a human romance to Undyne. She took back the audiobook and Papyrus was sad. But it’s okay, he played the audiobook with his plushies instead.
Frisk and Chara played to “Poke the Sans”. It consisted of stuffing various objects into Sans eyes sockets while he was sleeping. When he woke up, he tried to stuff thing into Chara’s head but Mettaton stopped him, fortunately.
Gaster was once again forgotten. He waited sadly on the parking all day long before some bin truck mistooked him for a trashbag. He absorbed all the trash and got back in the Void. *sad Gaster noises*

What is Xénotale?
I said I'm the author of Xénotale, but what is Xénotale? (Corrupted!Verse will be explained later.) Here's the answer. Xénotale is an Undertale AU created by @ZenoDreemurr on September 22, 2018. This AU shows the fear that monsters can have or give as well as any action has consequences. The AU is mainly shared by scriptural stories. In this AU some Undertale events are rewritten by the creator though the story is close to the Undertale one. In the past, there was a war between monsters and humans. This war would have been caused by a trip back in time that Gaster did. Gaster was banned in the void after that. The monsters discovered after that it was wrong. Much later a human (Frisk) falls in the Underground. It's then that she acquires the power of determination and begins to hear a voice. She'll discover that this voice and another strange character she encounters are the source of the fear felt throughout the Underground.
Characters Undertale characters Frisk Frisk is the 8th human to fall into the Underground. As soon as she fell, she began to hear a voice. She lost consciousness and wanted to scare all the monsters. And when she gets tired of scaring them or cannot, she kills them. In the pacifist route, she's controlled by Chara. When she's in a genocide route, she wants to kill everybody to punish Chara, who controlled her in the pacifist route. She looks like Classic!Frisk but she has no short. Her eyes are red with red outlines around them and are open. Her genocide appearance is slightly different because she uses a bloody true axe. In the current published material, she does a neutral run to play with the monsters. To do that, she uses the scare act, even if she takes many damage because of the monsters' scare attack. However, she died two times because of Napstablook and Toriel. Her first apparition is the first episode.
Chara Chara is the first human to fall into the Underground. She also had the determination and heard The Voice. Because of this, Asgore killed her several times. But one day she died without being able to use her determination to resurrect. Her soul was then destroyed by Asriel. Later when Frisk fell she resurrected in Frisk's mind. There was a ghost of her soul. In the pacifist route, she controls Frisk and make her do the pacifist route. In the genocide route, she sacrifices herself -even if it's pointless- to try to make Flowey live. She knows and hates that The Voice made do Frisk lost her mind. Before she heard The Voice, she was jovial and happy with her family but after The Voice, she was crazy and scared of Asgore and The Voice. When she resurrected inside Frisk's mind, she began to have bad memories and, because of seeing Frisk half manipulated by The Voice, started to hate Frisk and be afraid of her. She looks like Classic!Chara but because of Asgore attacks in the past she has scars everywhere on her body. At the end of the genocide route, she has been gashed. In the current published material, Chara wanted to see Frisk keep the control of herself, but without success. After that, she blames The Voice because Frisk is crazy and says that a consequence of that will be the destruction of the Underground. In the sixth episode, it's stated that she hates Frisk and is suspicious towards The Voice. Her first apparition is the first episode.
Flowey One day Alphys did experiments on the determination with the last golden flower of the Underground. Asgore thought that by injecting too much determination into this flower it was melting like monsters. Instead, Flowey was born with the power of determination. But he heard The Voice and began to be afraid of them. He squatted at Alphys's in secret but she found him and she turned him. He sought asylum several times but in vain. So he killed her but because of certain reasons she survived and got the power of determination. He ended up being his main test subject. But during an experiment, everything went wrong. It turned out that humans too could only contain a limited amount of determination and Flowey aspired more than that amount. He recovered his power to manipulate the save file but some of his parts melted anyway. He met Frisk soon after and lost his power again. He started to be afraid of her. He then disappeared. He's a flower who hates the power of the determination and The Voice. He is also afraid of them, Alphys and Frisk. He's nice with everybody except very rare times when he's naughty. He doesn't hesitate to fight if it's necessary and, so, fight Frisk in his normal form in the first phase of his fight. Because of Alphys's experimentations with DT some petals and one of his eyes melted. He's closer to the ground than Classic. In the current published material, when Frisk sees Flowey, she finds him weird. He says that the world isn't very nice even if you can have friends in. After being scared, he says that she understands the main rule of the world. He is seen spying Frisk in the second and sixth episodes. His first apparition is the first episode.
Toriel Toriel was the former queen of the Underground and the mother of Asriel. During her reign, she welcomed Chara who was a little crazy because of The Voice. Asgore started killing Chara several times and when Toriel discovered that, she divorced Asgore and took Asriel with her. Asriel died the next day. Later in the ruins, she saw Flowey with the same symptoms as Chara. She inquired with Napstablook about this. She often spoke to Sans via the ruins door but one day she came out of the ruins and met him like Alphys (she had not gone crazy yet) who helped him in his research. This was almost useless. From there she began to come out of the ruins often to see Sans. But even later she met Frisk but noticed that she scared everyone and wanted to stop her. She wears a short dress with short sleeves and the delta rune symbol. Her eye is constantly burning. When she is angry or she is fighting she's completely on fire. In the current published material, she receives and initiates Frisk normally, but when she understood Frisk had the same symptoms as Chara, she left her and sent Napstablook spy her. It's said in her diary that she thinks that Frisk is dangerous and said to Sans that he can use every method to stop Frisk, and that she doesn't mind if Frisk dies. She kills Frisk one time, but died on her second fight. Her first apparition is the second episode.
Napstablook After Flowey arrived in the ruins Toriel quickly noticed that he had the same symptoms as Chara in the past. She then asked Napstablook who would be discreet to monitor Flowey and report back to him daily. He accepted. Since then he has been monitoring Flowey and reporting to Toriel every day. Since he works for Toriel he's in fire and he looks demoniac. In the current published material, he fights Frisk because she knew that he were spying her. After being easily scared, he ran away, attacking with an extremely strong scare attack. However, he clearly understands Frisk's behavior and objective and said everything he knew during is report to Toriel. He is also the first who killed Frisk. His only apparition is the third episode.
Sans Sans is a skeleton who lives with his brother and also obeying the strict rules of his brother. He no longer drinks ketchup. He is afraid of his brother and tries to hide Frisk from him and asks her to kill Papyrus. He did not succeed. In genocide when he saw his brother -who was stronger than him- being killed by Frisk he decided to train in order to defeat her. Zeno trained him. Between the first and the second phase of the fight, an energy made it more powerful. Nevertheless, he ended up dying at once attack, doing infinite damage. He is very afraid of his brother and of a part of the royal guard, however, he trusts Snowdin monsters. But in genocide, he's cruel, has no mercy, is arrogant, hates wasting time and love to kill. In neutral and pacifist routes he has the same appearance as Classic except his magic eye is only yellow. In the second phase of his genocide fight, a red energy envelope him. She has a gash like the gash at the end of Classic!Sans's genocide fight. In this phase his magic eye is red. In the current published material, he talks to Toriel about how dangerous Frisk was and how to solve the problem. He balantly said that Frisk couldn't escape the Underground alive and also that Papyrus would die in a near future. His only apparition is the fifth episode.
Papyrus A very recent day apparently a human beat Undyne. She began to recruit all the monsters that passed Papyrus included. He soon became the second in command of the Royal Guard and began to scare all the monsters of Snowdin and Undyne. He enacted strict rules. If the monsters do not respect Papyrus's rules they are executed by Papyrus himself. He's the one who discovered the basements of the Underground. He is selfish, thinks he's above everything and likes to scare the monsters, especially Sans and Undyne. However, in the pacifist route, he has the same personality as Classic!Papyrus, with more regrets. Since he's in the royal guard he wears a royal guard armor (because of Undyne who command him to wear one). Because of one of his missions, he has a hole in his skull but a sharp spike is formed to replace his past bones. He uses it to execute people who don't obey his rules.
Grillby When Papyrus abolished ketchup Grillby's trade closed. But Grillby still had his ketchup bottles. Not knowing what to do and having to get rid of the ketchup inside he decided to drink all their content. Grillby has drunk so much that he ends up turning all his fire into ketchup. Since everyone turns around him to drink it. But drinking ketchup was forbidden so it was useless. The monsters have, however, always gone around Grillby, even if he hates that.
Monster Kid He is a basic Snowdin inhabitant, but he doesn't understand many things, such as Papyrus's laws or the hate that monsters devote to Papyrus, who, as a royal guard, protects them. However, he hates the other royal guards, who torture him for Papyrus, who doesn't have the time. Even with that, he doesn't really understand what's happening. Mk studies the story of the Underground, and when he encounters Frisk, who saves him from the royal guards, he follows her throughout the entire Waterfall arc. During this arc, he tells to Frisk the story of the royal guard. Frisk finds him annoying, say that he's pestering her but also say that what he's telling about is interesting, maybe for the future. MK isn't fightable, and Frisk wants to know why. She'll have the answer in the genocide route, when she'll fight him.
Undyne Many years after Asriel's death, Undyne became the head of the Royal Guard. Asgore told to her what he did et why he did all that, so, she discovered the power of the determination. However, she didn't know if she'll help him or sent him in jail. She decided that she'll decide about that when she'll have a human soul. After that, she encountered Zeno. She thought he was a human and fought him. She lost the fight, but didn't die. After that, Zeno became the threat of the Underground. She was feared that he can try to ruin the plan to free the monsters from the Underground, so she began to recruit any monster that wanted to be. She also recruited Papyrus, who, because of his power, became the second of the royal guard. He wasn't as powerful as Undyne, but rally many royal guards to his causes, enough to dismiss Undyne from her role of head of the royal guard. Since that, she work on her side until she encounter Frisk. She is feared of Zeno and Papyrus, and is hesitating often about what his the right choice about Asgore. She is also feared about Papyrus becoming the head of the royal guards. She hates the power of the determination in bad hands. When Frisk fights her, she can't escape the fight, because the exit was blocked by Zeno. That means to spare her, she has to use the scare act.
Alphys Alphys in the past created Flowey. Flowey was so scared of The Voice that he was squatting at Alphys. Alphys turned him constantly. He got fed up with it and destroyed Alphys's soul. Nevertheless thanks to pieces of human souls and determination she managed to survive. She became crazy about the power of determination but when she lost it she absolutely wanted to find him and went crazy. She is constantly trying to trap Frisk using Mettaton or normal traps. She is cruel, wants absolutely to have the power of the determination, even if she has to kill many monsters for that. When Flowey attacked her he drilled a hole in the middle of her body. After that, she replaces her past soul with a new soul. Her soul is a soul with a giant hole in the middle but with pieces of the six human souls guarded but Asgore turned towards the exterior. Because of her Dt experimentations, a part of her head has melted.
Gaster Gaster went away from the void helped by Zeno. He then helped Alphys during his experiments as a scientist. One day there was an accident and determination melted part of his skull. He helps Frisk pass the traps of Alphys. He looks like the Undertale Mystery Man but more solid. Because of Alphys's liquid determination tubes and a lack of attention a part of his skull melted.
Asgore Asgore is the king of the Underground. In the past when he discovered the power of determination he did not stop killing Chara. His LOVE gain has strangely gone through the timelines. But when Toriel and Asriel discovered what he did he finished alone. He then continued his work as king while regretting his past actions. In the genocide route, Asgore runs to the barrier to flee Frisk, after Flowey tell to him that she's very dangerous. When he is blocked to the barrier, the six human souls decided to help him and he has the benefit of the God's help. Because of the times, he killed Chara he has much blood on his clothes. He has some dials on some parts of his body because of temporal problems. His crown was made with black flowers. When he fights his sclera turn to black.
Added characters
The Voice The Voice is the entity that follows and speaks to all beings who control the power of determination (in the order Chara, Flowey, Alphys, Flowey again and finally Frisk). They were created by Zeno and is under his command. They gave Frisk power, but she lost consciousness. The Voice criticizes every frankness or murder of Frisk in the neutral route. They are also a herald for Zeno's minions because they speak for him about his orders. Because of that, The Voice has no real personality. Their name is "The Voice" because they're just a voice, and they don't have a material form. In the current published material, after giving power to Frisk, they help Frisk to understand how the underground work and give her the solution to some puzzles. They also say to Chara that they have a work that is "exhausting" and "exasperating". Their first apparition is the first episode.
Zeno Dreemurr Zeno is the entity who beaten Undyne very easily. Frisk meets him at Snowdin when he beats Papyrus. It also blocks the exit of Waterfall as long as Undyne has not been beaten. He is there to help Frisk as a neutral or pacifist final boss. He controls Monster Kid and makes him stronger in genocide. In genocide, he trains Sans to become stronger. He is also the final boss in the genocide route and has 5 phases in his fight. In his normal form, he wears a black sweater with one red stripe. He has a golden hair that hides his left eye. His right eye is red and his left eye is just a hole. In his true form, he wears a green sweater with one yellow stripe. His hair is red and he has goat ears. His eyes are also red. He wears a broken locket made by himself with a part of his own soul.
Celerity!Sans This Sans is a Xéno!Sans who lived in a genocide timeline. After the training, he fought Xéno!Frisk. He won the fight in the second phase. After that the energy let him continue to become stronger. After that, he started traveling throughout the Multiverse and working for Zeno. This Sans wears a jacket with blue and orange specks. His left eye is yellow and his right eye is polychromatic. He has a crack on his left eye. His soul is polychromatic.
Locations
Undertale Locations
Ruins The ruins are the same as the original Undertale game except the Golden Flowers have been replaced by Black Flowers. Toriel's clue on the right switch at the beginning is much more stealthy. The reluctant grey rock in the room where are three grey rocks are hidden to Frisk. The signs aren't here for the last puzzle.
Snowdin In Snowdin the geography is the same but we find more dust and more Papyrus statues. At Snowdin forest Papyrus traps are deadly. In the Snowdin village, there is a central place for executions. In the village we can find a giant Papyrus statue.
Waterfall Waterfall is the same as in the original Undertale game.
Hotland/CORE In Hotland Alphys changes all of the traps to make them more deadly for Frisk and the monsters. The CORE is the same as in the original Undertale game.
New home/Barrier In New Home Frisk never encounters monsters and we see more dust and blood. Asgore's house is destroyed and the Golden Flowers have been replaced by Black Flowers. In the Genocide Route, the barrier has been destroyed by Zeno.
Added Locations
Alpha World This world can only be created by Papyrus and Zeno. This world is, like the Anti-world, a very restricted space we can exit only if the one who created it decides it. Everyone suffers constant damage in this world in any case. The Alpha world cannot last very long since it self-destroys. This world can kill its occupants.
Anti-World The Anti-world is a modified version of the universe created by Sans or Zeno during their respective battles. It's a location with a pretty restricted space and controlled by the one who created it. We can only exit if the one who created this world decides it. In this world, we suffer damage constantly unless if we stay in the attacks. The one who created this world is completely invincible in this one, nevertheless he exhausts his magical reserves much more quickly, except for Zeno who has an unlimited amount of magic. This world only appears during Sans and Zeno's fights in the genocide route This world reverses the colors of the normal world. If the creator of this world doesn't use other attacks, the world self-destroys. The opponent of the creator suffers 3 damage per second. Celerity!Sans can obviously create this world too.
Basements of the Underground In the Snowdin village, if Frisk enters in the giant Papyrus statue, she finds a ladder that allows her to descend into the basements of the Underground. Each part of this place corresponds to an Undertale location. To access these areas, except the basements of the Ruins and Snowdin, she has to find a key in the corresponding Undertale location. The basements of the Underground are where most of the dead monsters, turned into dust, are found. Frisk can also find some heal items like dog residues or false heal items like empty ketchup bottles or full ketchup bottles in this place. She can also find a room used as a torture chamber in these basements. This room is used by Papyrus in the neutral route to torture Sans if he's spared by Frisk. Papyrus found this place by having the giant statue made to destroy the ground below this statue. He did hide this from all the monsters and only Frisk, Chara, Sans, Papyrus, The Voice, Celerity!Sans and Zeno are aware of the existence of this place.
Loading screen The loading screen is the place where Frisk is after a death. It's the place where she chooses if she continues or if she resets. In this place, only the ones who have a certain amount of determination can survive. This place is accessible only by the ones who can use the full power of the determination or by the ones who can create a portal or a spatiotemporal rift. Items aren't usable here. The loading screen is also very dark, except at the place where Frisk have to choose between continue and reset. The characters keep their souls and all the soul types are usable here.
Void The Void is the place where Gaster has been stored during many years. At a time, the place was empty. But sometimes tools appeared weirdly. So Gaster built a teleporter. Nevertheless, there has been a lot of testing. Many abandoned teleporters are there as well as tools. Sometimes Gaster or Zeno work there. The place is accessible via a teleporter below Hotland.
Zeno's HQ Zeno's HQ is a place into Celerity!Sans's origin timeline. It's a genocide Xénotale timeline where everyone (except Celerity and Zeno) died, including Frisk. This HQ is below the judgment hall and can only be accessed by it. This is the main place where Zeno, Celerity!Sans and the other Zeno's henchmen work. Nobody can enter without having Zeno's permission beforehand.
Miscellaneous -When The Voice removes Frisk's mind they add to her acts the scare act. This act allows Frisk to scare the monsters but they send an attack where they use all of their powers called a "scare attack". --However, she can't use this power against the bosses, except Napstablook and Undyne. -In Xénotale after the moment when Flowey recovered the determination, it was discovered that humans, as well as monsters who could bear it, could not exceed a certain amount of determination. In this case, the owners melt like the monsters. --Nevertheless, there are two exceptions to the rule: ---Those who have many human souls can multiply the amount of determination that they can endure in the number of human souls they have. ---Zeno has an unlimited amount of determination. -The God's help is a help conferred by an unknown god that greatly increases the power of a human or a monster. This help is more effective than 7 human souls together. -The energy is an energy that can make only one entity by timeline stronger. In the Genocide route, The Energy appears in the second phase of Sans's fight, and because of that, he becomes stronger and stronger. But it shows the full power of those who become stronger because of it with Celerity!Sans, who finished to become stronger because of that.

Long on mobile, adopting more
Draceana had filled out the paperwork, smiling wide and happily as Erratic the Inky began talking to the Dream about home and how there were some new bitties in the making. It would be Frisk, Chara and a Sans variant of an AU that connects monsters with their soulmates but it’s a fell variant of it (although the actions would be similar to a Swap universe). Dracaena wanted to take a walk, so Tam and Erratic could tell them about the hyperactive household that held mostly Sans-type bitties.
“Who’s Major?” Teeth asks so innocently when Erratic talks about the other skeleton.
“He’s mom’s friend, like a brother but he’s a swap and fell child. He’s like a handy-man.” Tam, the Tol Paperjam told the first Papyri type, knowing the others will fuss and spoil him for a while.
“How long is her place from the shop?”the Mumcher asks and Tam smiles at the motherly Toriel version. It might be tough for her since most Inky bitties were childish and loud but the ones that were a bit calmer would be helpful to keep her sanity.
“You can call me any polite name, I’m Dracaena but I also go by S. As for my place, I normally teleport to other adoption centers when adopting. I just want Tam and Erratic to explain the basics of each bitty we have.” Dracaena chuckles and the Dream looks at her in thought.
“Miss, what are our names?” The Dream asks and Dracaena chuckles.
“Mom lets us name ourselves, says it’s more polite to let us choose our names.” Erratic tells his new siblings. Immediately Tam saw the mischievous grins from the Horror and Nightmare, obviously coming up with a joke name.
“How about Banana?”the Horror chuckles and Dracaena smiles, amused as she knew that they will help with pranks now.
“Theres a dirty joke there darling, are you sure you want your name to be that? I’ll let you look up names when we get home.” Dracaena sighs and the Horror shakes his head, amused at her mindset. The Mumcher was happy about finding a name for herself, now to think.
“That would be lovely!”the Teeth chirps. Dracaena decided it had been long enough of a walk and decided to open a portal, just right outside of the home/ adoption center. Major was outside, uprooting any week before realizing his bond sister was back.
“Welcome home sis, Wildflower and Blue Smoke have been helping me out.” Major greeted, coming over with a Wyvern Snas and a Faun bitty flying beside him. Both noticed the new family member.
“Welcome home Mama, Yasha’s asleep in the nest and Koga’s playing with Bam to keep him company.” Wildflower told her, Smoke timid with new bitties but landed in Dracaena’s horns as that was the normal place for landing of the flying types. Unfortunately for him, he landed on the side the Nightmare was on.
“Why are you scared?” The Nightmare asks Smoke who whimpers at being called out.
“He’s a Wyvern Snas, they’re timid with new people and even if Ma has relaxed him enough for new bitties that everyone has agreed to, the experience is different to each creature.” Wildflower answers, sitting beside his friend as he explained. The Nightmare nodded, understanding that the species are naturally timid now that it’s explained. The Teeth was excited as Dracaena and Major went in, all of the Inky bitties asleep, making Dracaena suspicious.
“Fandom gave them some camomile tea and it knocked them all out luckily. Sugar Cube,Hope and Floss should be near Bam and Xee is watching the bitty babies.” Major informed, Dracaena nodding in relief before going through the back door because she just wanted to check on the adoption house before walking to the main home where they went in the front door to see the open kitchen on left, ladders up to cabinets and an open cabinet door showing that there was some implemented into the cabinets. On the right was a small space for relaxation and in front of the relaxation space was a living room that was open. Between the kitchen and living room was a normal table with two seats near each other and a 5” wall around the edges other than the two spots for the two monsters to eat.
“What happened there?”the Dream asks and Major chuckles at the wall.
“Floss and Sugar Cube we’re nodding off in the middle of dinner one night and fell off- Yasha and Koga caught them luckily, so sis decided to put walls into the table as well as install ladders because someone thought it would be okay to get a snack in the middle of the night.” Major answers, Erratic flushing a violent rainbow at the mention of the snack. The Nightmare looked at Erratic in curiosity.
“Did you get hurt?”Nightmare asked and Dracaena chuckles.
“He fell of the counter and went back into an ink form. Instead of dying like normal monsters from a height that normally kills, his sub-species actually just goes back to ink and absorb the magic back once they’re safe.” Dracaena tells the goopy bitty who nods and looks at the other with a curious eye.
“Your back!” Was a squeak from Bam who had just came down in a rope and pulley-like an elevator system(that Major had installed)- before Tam was poking to be let down. It was customary for the first two of the adopted to hug and talk if they had been away for the day. Dracaena decided to go to the couch to let the others down. They got up and slid down her arm, the Nightmare holding onto the Dream to keep the other safe. Soon enough, the others came to the couch, the three children in awe of the Mumcher and combining her hair with their phalanges, making her feel happy as Hope(the Flamester Papyrus) was talking about daily life. Yasha was still tired but greeted the new family members, it wasn’t time for him to patrol the grounds but Dracaena brought new bitties home and he wanted to be polite.
“The baby bitties are asleep for a little. They can’t wait to be shown.” Xee told Dracaena who chuckles and nods, Teeth getting spoiled by Fandom as the latter showed different kinds of food that was for bitties- homemade because Fandom liked cooking right now and Dracaena was picky if she got any food at the store for them, often cooking meals for them as equals.
“Have you guys figured out your names?” Bam asks, seeing that the Dream he was talking to’s brother was talking to Tam.
“I’m still unsure.”Dream says and Dracaena gets out the phone she got specifically for the bitties because of reasons and put it at the end of the couch, up against the armchair.
“I was actually thinking Tart.” Teeth said and Dracaena cooed at the dessert name.
“It’s nice.””You have a wonderful sTart there.” Was the outpour and with a couple of name puns, the newly named Tart was giggling with the others.
“Do my teeth not scare you?” Tart asks, now remembering one of his fears.
“It’s just uneven fangs, Xee has fangs and we seen the generic picture of a Teeth when Ma told us which ones she most likely will adopt.” A small voice came, it surprised the newcomers but at least Blue Smoke was opening up quicker with them, getting a bit braver once with some others for a while. The Teeth was shocked but seeing the others smile and the younger ones just smiled at him in amazement.
“Thank you.” Tart said, deciding to sit down beside Koga who had Yasha curled up on his lap. Tart’s brother decided to let Tart have some space to talk to others. Major had decided to start dinner a while ago as to get a good meal into the bitties before bed. Normally it was dinner, bath then bed for the day-time bitties which the only nocturnal bitty was Yasha in which case would get breakfast and dinner with the family, Dracaena bathing him before tucking him into the basket with the nest for him and Koga.
“No need to thank us, have any of you thought of names?” Xee says, scarf kinda muffling his voice as the Dream and Nightmare pair were looking at twin related names.
“For dessert, should we do Ambrosia or chocolate sundaes with some exceptions?” Major asked and Dracaena chuckles.
“Why not both? I’m sure Hija will not mind going to the store if we’re short on something.” Dracaena answered, all new bitties looking curious.”Hija’s my hatchmate, my biological brother.” She answers their questions that were thought.
“Really?” The Mumcher asks and Dracaena nods.
“He mated to a human friend of mine-she rehabs bitties and works in our old home. She normally takes a-ok bitties back to their adoption centers if she can but if not, she asks me to foster them in the meantime. They stay in the bitty shop normally. If there’s a physical or mental problem then she does all she can to help them and keep them at the rehab station.” Dracaena told the HorrorTale Toriel that smiles at the people Dracaena has surrounded herself with.
“Dinners almost done, we’re having some chicken alfredo and dessert is a choose.” Major informed, coming in to get some bitties so Dracaena doesn’t need to worry about bitties on her tail or head. Erratic smiles as he, Tam, Bam, the twins of Dreamtale and Xee took Dracaena’s shoulders, the Horror and Tart taking her hands. Major took the others, the fae bitties being a bit too lazy right now but still being loved on. Once at the table, they were dropped off(not literally dropped) onto the table, very carefully with the new bitties.
“What’s chicken alfredo?” the Mumcher asks the elder bitties who smile softly.
“It’s spaghetti noodles with tiny bits of chicken and alfredo sauce instead of tomato paste.” Tam explains and Tart looked happy at the dinner that was coming. Once it was on plates for all, the two monsters returned to the table and put it in front of all of them. The Paperjam bitties took their food and sat near Dracaena while the others spaced out on the table. The five new bitties stayed near each other and talked, the Horror and Nightmare watching as they ate.
“My brother and I found an ethnic group that sees twins as two halves of a whole. They’re called the Yoruba and we decided Kehinde would be me and Taiwo would be my brother! Even if it’s a little different.”the newly named Kehinde tells Dracaena who nods in listening, Taiwo watching as he ate. The Horror bitty beside him was a messy eater, luckily Tart was a bit better at being clean as he ate. Mumcher had been listening to the others’ day and Xee had been talking about the baby bitties with her. Essentially they were just formed a few days ago and the bitties were so excited to be seen, reference sheets taking a bit longer than Dracaena likes to admit.
Once dinner was done(after giving some of the bitties a second serving) Major brought out the Ambrosia and sundaes, giving some to all of the bitties. The Horror took a bite of Ambrosia and purred, Dracaena surprised but also amused because Major was great at making desserts, tacos and mustard from the mustard plants. Must be the benefits of having an Underswap Sans and an Underfell Sans as parents.
“Soo good!” The Horror moans in delight at the dessert. Major flushes but the compliment is taken fairly well. Dracaena snorted, making Taiwo and the Horror look at the monsters before smirking at Majors flush.
“Something wrong Major?” Taiwo asked, Major sighing as he figured the playful picking on would have been eventual.
“Got nothing Major to say huh? Like da dessert though.” the Horror picks on and Major sighs, silently cursing his Underfell parent for the name yet again. The other bitties were giggling as they finished their sweets.
“Alright, bathtime.” Dracaena says, the fae bitties going on excitedly. Taiwo looked like he was about to say something but Bam went over to him.
“Us PJ’s have the same design of liquid cleaning, so Mama puts us in charge of toweling and lifeguard duty.” Bam told Taiwo who nodded as they went with the two monsters for a bath. The Horror was talking avidly with Major about the next project on Majors list, making a functional bitty mansion that will be able to go into the house pipes and so everyone had a room-not like the houses he had made for them- and was able to talk about things without worrying about Dracaena hearing or him. Once at the bathroom, there was a regular bath/shower combo and beside it was a foot by foot square of a bathtub for group bitty bathing. The new ones were flushing at what they noticed, the fae, beside Yasha who had began patrol after dessert, were getting a hottish side of lukewarm water in the tub with varying heights due to the highest a bitty could be in the tub was 5”, so Tart had to use the monster/human sized bathtub.
“Hey Miss! I think I know what to name myself!” The Horror bitty called, Taiwo, and the PJ’s away from the water, especially the couple inches that were ready for Tart.
“What is it dear?” Dracaena chirps, making a note to find soft fabric for clothes.
“I want to be called Ambrosia.” The newly dubbed Ambrosia told S who nods and hums. The Mumcher hadn’t said anything about what her name would be, but it’s okay, Dracaena would wait-it took Blue Smoke a couple days to tell her.
“Ambrosia, the nectar of the gods.” Dracaena jokes, Ambrosia smiling wide at the joke.
“We normally take a group bath, are you guys gonna be comfortable?” Wildflower asks, S nodding as she looked at the new bitties. Tart didn’t really mind, it was a family bath, the Mumcher helping the kids but the other two were flushed because it was different.
“You don’t have to take one with the others. I did one on one for a while but kept loosing track of who was next so Wildflower and Xee didn’t have a couple of baths so I implemented family baths.” Dracaena told the two softly, making sure they understood it was for both health and familial reasons. They nodded, stripping to their underwear and go in, Dracaena not bothering them if they wished to bathe with underwear, however the plushie Ambrosia had since they adopted him had to stay on the side. It was within his arms reach if he became panicked, which the others wouldn’t quite understand, only knowing it was part of his species and knowing that it was a good thing to have.
“Mama, is it okay if we call her Mummy?” Hope asked Dracaena who chuckled and nodded.
“As long as she’s fine with it, I don’t mind.” Dracaena told the child, already knowing that most of the bitties(soon Inky’s and the new bitties) were under her charge, lightening the load a little.
“I’m okay with it, are you sure you want to share the title?” The Mumcher asks and Dracaena nods.
“I’m sure you’ll help her out a lot.” Major chuckles and S huffs, already knowing that Major was thinking about the Mumcher adopting her.
“Okay, well I like the name Demeter, Kehinde showed me the name earlier and I was thinking of something like that.” The Mumcher told Dracaena who nods.
“Thank you for telling me your name, if you don’t like it, for whatever reason, I have the rule that you can change it and nobody will not question it little Demeter.” Dracaena told Demeter who nodded in happiness.
Once bath was over, Dracaena used different cloths for different bitties to dry off, using a soft black washcloth to help Kehinde dry off while using a soft violet washcloth to dry Ambrosia off. She made sure to clean the bashed part of the skull to prevent further infection or just to keep it clean, either way, it seemed relaxing to Ambrosia and he fell asleep quickly at the cleaning. Due to not having little homes for them yet, Dracaena had already used part of her closet to set up a safe space for the five at the bottom with comfortable beds, and a couple hammocks. She had to leave the crib(she had found an old wooden crib that was low to the ground in the attic somehow) outside of the closet for Tart.
“Can brother sleep with me?”Tart asks and she smiles softly while nodding; having to get the underwear off of Ambrosia and put on some clothes that the others found-mainly some hoodies that were for some Inky’s (though they never really use them) and a couple of doll nightgowns. It was one of the only things that they had on short notice ( since Dracaena can be a bit impulsive with bitties) and they would have the clothes cleaned and dried sometime in the morning. At each window in the room, they had installed a door for Yasha when he returned. Major had said night before going to his house that he also used as a shed that was across from the main home.
Once all tucked in, they went to sleep. Dracaena barely dreams and if she does, it’s either because of a stressful day or Major decided to tranquilize her( she got insomniac sometimes and that was the best way to get her to sleep).
As the morning rose, Wildflower, Kehinde and Dracaena rose to the sunlight, Yasha tiredly coming in and letting S feed him before getting his bath. After his bath,Fandom came downstairs as Koga took his mate to the hanging nest. Afterwards, Dracaena finished laundry for the new bitties and thought she saw Taiwo in the corner of her eye in the shadows in the laundry room.
“I’ll take the clothes to them, Ambrosia and Tart will wake up any time now.” Taiwo says and the skele-dragon nods as she let him get the clothes. After a little while, all home bitties were up, Erratic talking about the Inky bitties in the shop and how it works with Kehinde.
“So, you guys come from ink and magic?” Kehinde asks.
“Not just any magic, art block magic. Like when an artist, a writer, song person or anything that’s art comes up, but that’s rare to find an Inky that was formed like that. Normal Inky bitties come from Ma’s experimental magic with inkwells, making it a bit more difficult for others to manipulate into an Inky like myself.”Erratic explains and Dracaena shrugs as the newbies look at her.
“The shop’s gonna get busy with Inky bitties being little spaz-nuggets, so I need to take you all with me.” Dracaena told them and they nod. Demeter drew in a crowd since Inky bitties could tell a motherly aura in an instant, others were looking at the new bitties in rapt fascination as some studied them, making Taiwo and Ambrosia a little uncomfortable until the attention was turned on their siblings, some of the younger Inky’s just listening to the two. At least Kehinde and Tart would be great playmates and their siblings would be great watchers/ protectors, seeing that it was focused on how much trouble one of the Inky’s could get in trouble easily. Demeter had already won the younger bitties with her magic and how she listened to them.
Dracaena liked having a schedule with her bitties and so far, the newest members did not have a problem with it.
