no pressure at all, but i was wondering how you think Zelda would react to a mute/deaf link? i bet she originally thought he was conceited but had the gut punch realization that he couldn’t help it and that she had spent all this time judging him

struggling to figure out how to word this but i think this is.. essentially what happens in canon? canonically, link is selectively mute, which essentially just means that physically, he can technically speak. there's no physical problem with his vocal chords, hearing, etc that makes him mute, it's a mental block instead of a physical one. that doesn't mean that it's something he can control, though. I've heard it described as being like your vocal chords just "stop working" in certain situations, whether due to anxiety, trauma, overstimulation, or some other trigger. meaning you still physically can't talk, there's just no anatomical reason for the mutism. so whether he's deaf, physically mute, or selectively mute, i think zelda still has the gut-punch oh shit, he couldn't help it moment and that she DESERVES to have that gut-punch, because that realization that she'd been projecting her own insecurities onto him and refusing to take into account his situation is an important kickstarter to her personal growth and development. But i guess what i'm saying is i don't think her reactions would change very much if you change the way he's communicating with her. With selectively mute link, i do like to think that he eventually becomes comfortable enough around her that he's able to speak for short amounts of time and begins to communicate that way, as is implied in canon (but that's never actually outright stated, just that he "opened up" to her eventually, so it's possible he never actually TALKED to her at all and communicated some other way.) sign language, written language, however he decides to explain what's going on to her, he still was physically incapable of speaking to her before, and she still judged him heavily for it. so tldr yeah, i think no matter what form of mutism you want to give him, she always has to have that moment of shock and realization that she was pushing her own insecurities onto him and that she was downright CRUEL to him. it's one of the most important moments of her arc!

#it's also notable i think that because link is basically CONSTANTLY being triggered pre-calamity he APPEARS completely mute #even in situations where he SHOULD in theory be comfortable e.g. alone with mipha or daruk who he knew pre-sword he STILL doesn't talk #because the trigger for him is the presence of the master sword and the responsibility it implies. #the fact that he still can't speak even to his childhood friends speaks to the pervasiveness of that responsibility and the way he feels #pressured to keep up that persona of a hero even when he SHOULD be able to drop it. he's under so much pressure that he can't be himself #for even a second even when no one is watching him. #anyways. not the point of the post i know. but i think it's worth noting that there's not a lot of difference between selective vs physical #mutism with link pre-calamity EXCEPT that he could potentially speak to zelda after becoming comfortable enough. #the potential for COMMUNICATION is still there selective or not it would just have to be a nonverbal form of communication! #asks #zelda analysis

These were the two poses I had the absolute strongest mental images for, so they get the big pretties! Really struggling with the concept of Scriabin’s autonomy! He quite literally exists outside of you now Edgar, you have to let him grow on his own!

Scriabin probably just wants out to do something Edgar morally objects to, enough to suffer his company while pissed. The idea of Scriabin having his own body and still having to take Edgar over to exert his own personhood again, ugh, it’s so fraught <3

The Lobster Trap has so many potential outcomes, even discounting one side over the other! Obviously I had to make as many as I could come up with lol; starting with Scriabin getting to decide when he hops in, and Edgar getting to decide if he lets him out - two yeses all around to show it As Intended, all going well :)

And here are Edgar's No options: his no overrides letting Scriabin out, but does nothing to deter Scriabin from coming in without his permission. I think this is one of the worst configurations for them haha ♪ It’s so easy for them to be cruel to each other!

Now the other way around! Scriabin has to get Edgar's permission to come in, so here's their Two Yeses :D Obviously he did it to annoy Edgar, he'll never get to read in peace haha. Not that he would even without this hehe

Edgar's No would shut Scriabin out, which I think would be good for them honestly; Edgar gets time to process things on his own without Scriabin manipulating him from the inside, and Scriabin gets to eat humble pie

Two Yeses again, though it was hard to imagine a situation where Scriabin would willingly hop out at Edgar's request - to make fun of him though? Yes ✨

And again, Edgar's No not overriding Scriabin's Yes - I think this would be really good for them! Edgar doesn't get to hold him against his will, and Scriabin doesn't get to burst in without his permission!

But really, it'll always be messy with them <3 Even in the best scenario, if Edgar's Yes overrides Scriabin's No of being forced inside - even if he couldn't hold him there, just the action of making him see from his point of view and all that entails... ♪

What do you say to the people that question the utility of a watch, since you've got your phone?

If you have difficulty with attention, having a way to check the time without getting pulled into your phone is invaluable. Also, it's easier for me to 'understand' time visually rather than digitally, with the way my brain is wired. I wear a watch probably 80% of the time because it helps me so much with time blindness and attention.

So I like to have nice looking ones! I only have a few because I do spend money on them, so I'd like to have another one, and I think this is classy looking in the way a lot of fandom jewlery isn't always. You wouldn't know what you were looking at unless you knew.

my only general predictions for jjk is that Yuuji will be able to target the different souls in Sukuna’s body to be able to reach Megumi’s suppressed soul and attack sukuna’s. Im actually interested in how this will all go down, especially with Higuruma in the mix, since these fights can’t be as simple as two overpowered characters with the loss of multiple special grade sorcerers. With the potential of a court trial domain or Yuuji’s knowledge of the soul, I imagine it’ll become more psychological or metaphysical in the fighting, with a lot of good insight into sukuna and/or yuuji, megumi, etc. As for Kenjaku, I have NO idea where their story is going (apart from Yuuta wanting to kill them), but i enjoy that part of the story being unpredictable—it fits their character

#jjk spoilers #I feel like it’s a given at this point that yuuji is planning something w Sukuna’s soul #since yukis book and literally everything else that points to shit happening w the soul and body #the methods and execution are unknown but yeah despite general fan consensus I feel like it’s obvious saving megumi IS in the mind of Yuuji #and there’s probably gonna be a lot of metaphors and whatnot about identity and the body and soul #hopefully sukuna and heian era flashbacks 🤕 #kenjaku on the other hand is simultaneously a detailed planner with a mission and an unpredictable entity who has to adapt to any situation #meeting takaba for example 😭 #I’ve said this many times but kenjakus appeal is not just them being a typical evil mastermind who controls the plot #we get to know them. and how they ARE despicable and cunning. but they’re also kinda a loser who runs into a lot of issues and trials/errors #it makes it feel realistic. and also just entertaining to watch #there’s probably a more clever way of describing who kenjaku is vs what they desire but I don’t have the brain for that lol #I’m just vaguely very fascinated by their character #kenjaku #sukuna #itadori yuuji #if making excessive rants in the notes was a competition I would destroy any competitor 😭 #i feel like there’s a lot of interesting stuff with kenjaku and sukuna that I never see people discuss 😭 but I’m also terrible at writing #so I can’t put anything to words
