Literally the most heartbreaking scene in OPM is those 6 pages in chapter 147 where child emperor is stuck underground and like legit doesn’t know if he’s going to be alive in 20 minutes 😭😭 why is this ten year old writing his last words to his ex boss?? Why is a ten year old writing his last words?? Bro where are your parents?????? Who let you come on this trip 😭 this kid (in what he thinks could be his last moments) sends in reconnaissance, updates on the battle, a call for aid (not for him in particular tho), AND STEPS MOVING FORWARD FOR THE S CLASSES IF HE DIES????? Wtf 😭😭 he is ten and I’m in tears who allowed this. “All I can do is hold my breath and wait.” THATS THE MOST HEARTBREAKING THING IVE EVER HEARD FROM A KID WHOSE MAIN PROBLEMS IN LIFE SHOULD BE THAT HIS MOM PACKED THE WRONG FLAVOUR OF GUMMY SNACKS FOR HIM 😭💀

What I think is annoying with how critics are handled in universe they are painted as straw men, and that is SO bad when you are trying to prove your point in an argument. Instead of trying to see the other side, and look at your OWN argument with a critical eye, and trying to see the other side's point. Or they get "called out" for what they're doing or it's a comedic moment. Like, Monoma could have been an excellent character. Monoma calling out 1A's shit, and getting them to rethink their stances is an interesting idea. Like, what if one of them has a not so great moral idea, and Monoma calls that out. He can still act weird, but just to paint Monoma as basically 1B's strawman against Bakugo critics and just dumbshit he sees around him is just wow. Like when Kendo was telling Dekusquad a vantage point that 1B could have used to one up 1A, dude was literally right???????????????????? It's like those fan comics of character A defending character B while the one in the wrong is portrayed via a speech bubble or gray humanoid thing. But it's just in canon format. God, it's so annoying. Why do people only get called out via characters Horikoshi likes?
Oh 100% agree with this. Rather than actually try to engage with the arguments/criticisms the other side has, he loves painting them as straw-men and belittling them.
One big example is that furry fat cat guy who mentions that it’s over for Endeavor when Dabi revealed what he’s done. The dude’s drawn to be such a caricature of a stereotypical loser that we’re not supposed to take what he says seriously.
Neito’s another example. When he criticizes Katsuki he’s always painted in such an exaggerated light when doing so to the point no one’s supposed to take him seriously, and is always proven to be “wrong” despite being right in his dislike for Katsuki.
The journalists and civilians who criticize the heroes and U.A are seen as pests, vultures, ignorant, and people who believe/dish out straw-man accusations. As a journalist, this offends me. Yeah, there are journalists/companies that are vultures looking to push one side of the story, but to treat a profession that’s not only saved lives but uncovered corruption with such sustain makes the “good guy” look worse in comparison. In addition, despite Hori trying to paint them as in the wrong, all these journalists were asking the right questions and all the civilians had very rational thoughts about the heroes who’ve failed them. Rather than acknowledge these points, Hori has Shota or whoever’s his mouthpiece of the chapter make them look like idiots… even though it backfires and anyone with half a braincell can tell Hori’s arguments collapse when even slightly challenged.
When Rikido and Fumikage harp on Katsuki for not changing, it’s treated as a “haha funny” moment rather than an actual callout.
The prison guard who questions AFO about something and tells the man to actually give him an answer instead of the typical “AFO knows everything” is also treated as a gag despite that being a good criticism of AFO as a villain.
In conclusion, rather than meaningfully engaging with the arguments against his themes and story, Hori relies on painting critics as straw-men and cartoonishly stupid people to make a point. This would be fine if he was pointing out how dumb racists are or something along those lines, but when trying to convince us that the your side is right, this strat fails spectacularly against anyone with somewhat of a brain.

notes: major character death; gojo satoru is not a good person (we know this); direct continuation of geto suguru's route; if you have not completed the good end may you rest in pieces.
➡ Sneak out of the fire escape.
The thought of trying to navigate your way even further through the deep, dark bowels of this strange place fills you with a fearful repulsion – and not the good kind. While you got off quite lucky with such a faithful encounter with Geto, you shouldn’t get cocky. After all, the security guard from earlier could still be lurking around…imagine if he caught you in such a state of obvious erotic disarray: hair mussed, knees scraped and bruised, face flushed, lipstick smudged…you can’t imagine that would go over well.
Steeling your nerves to do something truly unhinged, you begin to search for the fire escape.
At least you aren’t jumping out of the window, or something insane like that – albeit, sneaking out of the fire escape is a little out there, even for you.
But you no longer inhabit the normal and upright world. It is almost as though you are now floating through reality, your soul wandering through life in an ambiguously disparate state, hopping from absurd situation to absurd situation, motivated by little more than the capricious nature of your arbitrary whims.
It's not like you have much left to lose, after all. The most important thing to you – perhaps the only important thing to you – in your life is ShinShow. And you’ve just achieved the highest goal of any dedicated fan: ultimate recognition.
The eventful evening’s erotic high and the delusional adrenaline coursing through your veins gives you the courage not only to locate the fire escape, but also to slip through the dingy, rusting door and shimmy down the rickety, narrow steps. Even by Japanese standards, the contraption is quite small. Several times, you almost lose your footing and go tumbling down over the railing. Instead of instilling you with healthy fear, the near-accidents only serve to propel you forward with renewed vigor each time you brush closer and closer to impending mortal injury.
As soon as your chunky platforms hit the worn concrete, now back on solid, stable ground, you find it difficult not to deflate a little bit. What a night! What an experience! And you have Geto Suguru’s personal LINE ID to show for all of it…how are you supposed to return to your ordinary, mundane life after such an experience?
The thought depresses you. Work, school, family, friends…it all pales in comparison to the evening you and Geto shared together. Oh, if only every night could be that way!
But that would be selfish of you. Geto is a leader, after all; an inspiration to many, and an idol to all. To usurp him for your personal pleasure and only yours alone would be doing a disservice to his life’s work. You recognize that you must share Geto-sama, as much as it might pain you to do so.
“I don’t wanna share him,” you mumble to yourself, aimlessly launching the decrepit corpse of a crumpled beer can across the alley with a limp, half-hearted kick. “Geto-sama should be all mine…”
In the desolate boughs of this seedy in-between limbo sandwiched between towering buildings of various questionable services and wares, your pathetic utterances should be private, unheard by only your own self-pitying ears.
Operative word: should.
“Haha. That’s a funny joke!”
Your heart drops faster than you can turn around. By the time your body processes the shock at not being alone (seriously, when the hell did someone else get here? You’ve been loitering for several minutes, at this point!) the owner of the unfamiliar voice is already entirely too close for comfort. One moment, the snarky quip bounced off of the aged reinforcements of a residential building several paces away – but now, as you pivot on your heel to confront the stranger, your nose is but a hair’s breadth away from painfully colliding with a wide, solid chest clad in nondescript black cloth.
When you finally glimpse his face, the first thing that comes to your mind is that he’s definitely a douchebag. If the bleached platinum faded undercut weren’t bad enough, this asshole is wearing sunglasses at night. His over-six-foot stature is worn with a sort of self-reverential pride; he carries himself like he knows he’s probably the hottest guy in any room at any given point in time.
How annoying.
This is why, outside of ShinShow, you don’t really care to interact with the male species. They’re all cocky, self-assured, greedy, immature, uncaring, inconsiderate morons! Nothing like your hard-working and self-made idols…ugh.
Just being around this dude makes your skin crawl. Not in the sexy way.
“Excuse me,” you mutter, cutting him a sharp glare with wide, whaling eyes as if to actually convey the more sincere message you hold for him within your heart: get the fuck lost, creep.
But when you go to rush past him, his body moves – again with that mind-numbing, preternatural speed – and you run straight into his annoying firm and solid abs.
Oh God, is this it? Is this really how you are meant to depart from this world? You would’ve preferred to be sent to hell by Geto’s hand over anyone else’s…
Despondent and kind of over it, you direct a firm stare upwards at this asshole’s infuriatingly unbothered smirk. “What’s your problem?”
“You,” says the stranger, simply, distracting you with his blindly white smile so that it is far, far too late by the time you realize that both your wrists are now incapacitated by one of his large, strong hands. “Don’t struggle. It won’t make a difference. Or do! It would actually be kinda funny to watch.”
“What the hell are you talking about?” You demand, instinctively jerking away and finding his grip to be even more iron-solid that it had initially seemed – if that was even possible. “Let me go!!”
When you go to kick him, you find that your perception of reality shatters apart like glass skittering across kitchen tile in a million, tiny, irreparably disparate fractured pieces.
Your foot cannot connect with his body.
The more force you put behind your futile defense against your assailant, the more frustrated and exhausted you become. How can this even be possible? It’s like there’s an invisible paper-thin shield dividing you and him – and yet, despite the thinness of the protective layer, the intimate proximity of your limb and his infuriatingly chiseled torso, there is an endless ocean of space that separates you. No matter how hard you try, you cannot touch him.
You cannot win.
How this is even possible, you haven’t the faintest idea. Some sort of illusion? An advanced kind of electromagnetic technology?
Horror dawns upon you like a red sun on the horizon: there’s no way you can escape this.
The stranger is a seasoned and well-trained predator, that much is for sure. He senses the fight leaking out of your body as a shark might follow the intoxicating scent of blood in the water. He pursues your misery with a keen appetite, one that threatens to devour you whole.
“You’re almost cute,” breaths the strange white-haired man, crowding you up against the brick wall with little more than the oppressive force of his presence. “I can see why he thought you’d be easy.”
A stab of familiarity pierces clear and true through your thundering innards. Surely, he couldn’t be talking about… “Do you know Geto-sama?”
The bastard has the audacity to laugh in your face. His breath is annoyingly minty fresh.
“Oh, wow. You actually call him that? I thought it was just an inside joke between him and the fans, or something. Hah! That’s really good. That’s just too good…” He, honest-to-God, wipes a tear from his eye, underneath his sunglasses.
Even the precarity of your dangerous situation is not enough to cow the bullish indignancy that flushes through you, hot and temperamental, at the suggestion of a perceived slight against your (new?) oshi.
“Hey,” you grunt, chin checking up towards the sky, “you shouldn’t talk that way about Geto-sama. He’s really hard working, and such a good leader…the best there ever was or could be.”
“The best,” mulls the stranger, one large hand descending to stroke his jaw. You can’t tell if the gesture is more a mockery than it is a genuine display of sincere pensive contemplation.
“Tell you what. I’ll let you in on a little secret.”
And then he leans down, easy and natural as breathing, as blinking, lips coming to ghost along the crest of your quivering, hypersensitive ears:
“I already know that.”
With viper-like speed, his fist shoots up to close around your throat. “You don’t think I know that?” You’d sputter out a response if you could breathe. Or think.  “Sweetheart, I’ve been here before that statement could even be said to be true. You could say we’re high school sweethearts. My one and only, he is.”
Oh, fuck.
Oh, God, oh, fuck.
Did you just mess with an OG fan?
Crap, this is bad. This is really, really bad. Never did you think you’d fall victim to the string of violent, sometimes deadly assaults that ravaged the streets of Kabukichou. But pissing off a dedicated wota by getting caught fucking around with their ultimate oshi is one of the fastest ways to find out!
S-sorry, you try to mouth as your weak, floundering hands doing nothing to persuade his grip into loosening, even just the tiniest bit. Didn’t know!!
“Don’t care~,” sing-songs the stranger, strangely cheerful given the circumstances. He’s not normal. It hits you quite belatedly. Even for a superfan, he isn’t normal. “No one told you to go around playing with other people’s toys~”
You don’t stand a chance. This is the end.
His next retort slips out as a simpering purr: “Good girl. You’ve accepted your fate.”
Can he read your mind, or something? This is seriously a scene out of some horror movie…
“For that, I’ll spare you. Quick and painless death it is! Simply deleted from existence. All your icky atoms and particles will end up somewhere in Timbuktu, probably. Hopefully. How does that sound? For a masochist like you, that’s almost a worse fate, I suppose.”
Huh?
“Huh?”
“Bye-bye~”
The last glimpse your poor, foolish mortal eyes catch of this cruel world are the slight peek of his startlingly blue over the rim of those opaque, black sunglasses. As you lose consciousness, in the split second before your existence is entirely wiped out from this chapter of reality, your vision blurs, doubling, then tripling, his bright, cerulean eyes appearing to you not as two, but six. They are everywhere, all-seeing, surrounding you, bearing down as the heavens might itself upon the woeful frame of a mortal slated for smiting. Soon enough, the six double, then triple, then multiply so fast that all you can see are rows and rows and rows of wide, unblinking, omniscient eyes. Staring. Judging. Tracking.
Why does it feel familiar, this sight?
[MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.]
ENDING ACHIEVED: GETO SUGURU BAD END 2
SECRET ROUTE UNLOCKED: RYOMEN SUKUNA.

I would read your zhongxiao codependent yuri Like, I do generally picture them as a vaguely father/son dynamic BUT THAT IS NOT CANON. It's just as much fun to view them through a romantic interpretation! Idk why people can't view the same characters in different kinds of relationships without being weird about it.
Anyway I love your vision and would love to hear more about it lakdjs
THANK U SO MUCH Im not sure if I’m gonna write zx in the future since I’ve tended to be shy about posting my stuff relating to them for over a yr now, but I did post this fic with them last year while trying to get a hold on how to write them (mind the tags it’s pure angst omg). I was too shy to tag it as ship since it didn’t feel shippy enough, which is kind of funny to me in hindsight bc I reread it and am like. Man I think only a zx shipper would write this NUFNVJVJV
Post got kind of lot Im gonna go on a tangent about them under the cut
Honestly my theory for why ppl r very set on the father/son interpretation is everyone’s immediate thought on to how to make the power imbalance between them seem less uncomfortable is to apply a parental interpretation to it. Which is fine ofc, I get it, but the way ppl push it as canon a lot kind of grates on me a little bc they’re usually incredibly passive aggressive and pushy even if u clearly designate ur post as ship OTL
Also not really a fan of the characterizations either since ppl tend to treat Xiao like a moody teenager Zhongli has to reel in (this is hilariously reminiscent of the post I made about how ppl handle scaramouche and nahida a bit ago haha). And idk I just feel kind of polarized about the headcanon overall bc I associate it with people being really uncomfortable and frustrating about zx
I just like how there’s sort of an imbalance to them, some zxs like them being more fluffy and functional but I sort of like it where it’s not like, entirely dysfunctional but I’m prioritizing a specific kind of character study over romance. This tends to be how a lot of my ships go ngl I just sometimes enjoy the intensity/intimacy of romantic feelings thrown into the mix if it makes it interesting but I’m not often interested in a lot of my ships following more standard romance plots(?) I guess? Unless it’s specific ones. Which sounds clinical when I put it like that but this is just bc I am very aromantic NHFBVJVJ
When I say codependency in zhongxiao honestly it’s sort of a theoretical(?) codependency—not sure how to word it? I think Xiao would be really fucked up if he didn’t have Zhongli in his life suddenly but I don’t think his relationship with getting attached to people invokes what people would majorly think of when they think of codependency in a ship I suppose. It’s moreso I just feel Xiao could be at his worst with dehumanizing himself in comparison to other people with Zhongli, because said mental state is driven by how he feels about debt, service, and duty which are very closely tied with devotion and how he would feel about someone he considers his god and leader, as well as someone who saved him
It’s fun this is paired with Zhongli who generally knows how to work with Xiao kind of understands the self destructive depth Xiao’s loyalty/devotion comes with. Also fun they have been around each other for a very long time and Xiao as one of the adepti is familiar with the past I think Zhongli appreciates having around. They work but it’s also a case where Zhongli is in such a position of power over Xiao its kind of very delicate situation that’s hard for both of them to navigate. Which is fun to explore. I esp love contrasting it with other Xiao pairings (actually i think i still have that xiaoven fic up on my ao3 where I tried to convey a specific interpretation of them in a similar exploration vein too)
I totally get why people wouldn’t like it (I feel a lot of my opinions on xiao ships just clash with a lot of fandom consensus so bad all the time And it’s just bc I’m like this I’m not even trying to be contrarian or anything. HELDINCJD) but I just tend to handle shipping in a specific way. It’s not I don’t enjoy fluffy or lighthearted zl and xiao stuff I actually enjoy it a lot I just like there being layers. This makes it feel more impactful when I think about how Zhongli looks out for Xiao in canon or how Xiao gets like textually flustered talking to him (lantern rite 2023 was so tailored to my tastes it’s not even funny)

Im just soso obsessed with figuring out tim as a character rn i cant stop thinking abt it (ive always been a jason todd girlie but i read ur fic and that angsty twink latched onto me and refuses to let go)
I think u have a pretty good hold of him, especially bc in present comics writers are so intent on elevating tim in spite of other characters (barbara and her hacking skills for example, or any comparison made btw him and any robin, really) that most portrayals of him are so boring it makes me cry, while you on the other hand took the approach to write about his flaws (which are MANY) while still making him charming and handsome (he is so... !!!!)
To me flaws are also tied to not only the good traits of characters but also their core beliefs and ideals so what can you say abt tim?
I know he can be stupidly arrogant and patronizing at times, that he's always idolized the position and legacy of robin and constantly fights his insecurities with this role and his abilities for the job, that he can also be incredibly selfish or outright mean when it comes to being mindful of other people's feelings for the sake of logic (re when he didnt tell tam abt his dad not being actually dead), but at the same time i cant figure out exactly what he wants to do with his role as robin (or red robin) or why he would want to keep going when his main goals first were just making sure bruce wouldnt go down a dark path, im pretty sure he mentioned not being a vigilante forever but his actual goals remain unclear to me
(Im in the midst of reading his solo robin run but ive read red robin so give me a little room for this, you are definitely free to talk abt more of his comics bc i havent read everything yet and everything im saying should be taken with a grain of salt, video essays and the issues ive read can only get me so far)
He could have gained an inherent desire to help people after all his time as robin and the so fucked up shit that happened to him, maybe as a ways to channel his grief (much like dick and jason and bruce, im thinking abt identity crisis here) after he isnt "needed" as robin anymore, but at the same time that would be so tragic because he was supposed to be different to them, he was supposed to remark the importance of robin's role in helping be "batman's light" and not becoming like batman himself, its just so interesting and im still trying to really understand the extent of his character so id just. Love to get ur thoughts and musings on what fuels tim as a character and how you see him
(I dont have this problem with jason bc his moral conflict is very crystal clear to me and also so freaking juicy, his actions are logical and so understable, granted he also hasnt had as much screentime as tim and i can see when writers just Dont Get Him, misunderstanding the original intent of his character coming back etc etc etc, tim has grown and evolved throughout his tim as robin so this might factor in too)
Anyways sorry for the long post i hope this is alright !!! Loved ur fic to bits and ur writing is a blessing mwah
okay HI i am not exaggerating when i say that i have been thinking about this ask since you sent it HAHA tim is just a parasite in my brain he won't let go...
that's the funny thing about portrayals of him today... i feel like people want to elevate him as a potential batman or a character closest to bruce in terms of intelligence and detective skills, which isn't true at all, i think (because, exactly, you have babs Right There), and of course, narratively, this is all a good thing (this post covers it well, i think). it's in the same vein of people making tim out as the most dangerous person in the batfam, should he ever chose to go down the path, which i can partially blame red robin (2009) for with this panel....
Tumblr media
(and i don't think that's true either. he has the potential to be dangerous just like any of the others but i think the ones to really be scared of are babs, dick, and cass but ANYWAY)
in general, red robin 2009 was a bumpy time for tim with bruce's death and his spiraling, but it seemed to really inform what they were going to do with his character. no more time for the civilian life, committing himself much more thoroughly to The Mission like bruce. which is, if you ask me, a negative progression of his character, which isn't bad, exactly, in terms of storytelling, but it feels like all we get are the 'good parts' now -- the intelligence, the status, the resources, and then we don't get to grapple with the consequences.
there were some in red robin 2009 but it was more tim accepting them and making no move to change his actions, which is fine, but now... idk. but i also don't touch modern comics with a ten foot pole so this could just be. Wrong. but that seems like what's going on. so i feel like that's where people get the idea of him being... idk not the Perfect Robin exactly but. you know?
no no yeah i totally agree!
re (because i want to break this down i'm telling you i have Been Thinking About This): at the same time i cant figure out exactly what he wants to do with his role as robin (or red robin) or why he would want to keep going when his main goals first were just making sure bruce wouldnt go down a dark path, im pretty sure he mentioned not being a vigilante forever but his actual goals remain unclear to me
exactly this. he did say that and i've reblogged this at some point i think, showing a panel from robin 1993 where he mentioned he wouldn't be a vigilante forever, then paralleled with that panel i put in earlier from red robin 2009. (there's this post, which touches on another thing about tim trying to set himself apart as having friends and thus not being bruce LOL which is another topic entirely)
i think that was what red robin 2009 was - a negative progression of his character, one that, again, we never really grapple with, especially as dc shoves robin back onto him now.
his motivations are an interesting thing to me, because he did start out coincidentally, saying batman needed a robin but he didn't assume he'd be that robin, it just kind of happened because he was there (well much more went into it but you know?).
but aside from that, i've never gotten the impression tim really does it for people. i mean batman in general has been about the detective work but i think towards the 80s/90s/00s there was a shift to focusing on the people but tim has never really struck me as a hero of the people. he's more about fighting crime than he is about helping people. i think it is partially informed by the genre - re detective comics, etc - but still. he's not like, say, peter parker/spider-man, who is a hero of the people, of the working class. the people are inherent to him as spider-man. tim does it out of duty and responsibility i think, being the light to batman's dark, of course, but he's also very much a teenage boy about being robin - the cool factor, pointedly mentioning he wants to let off steam by knocking around 'criminals' that kind of thing
which doesn't mean he's unfit for it but he operates in an odd grey area as far as his motivation goes, which i think is where we get red robin? he was defined by being robin and he did his job, then he got the boot. so it is very much an identity crisis but we're seeing that negative change as he changes for the worse, for something darker. i mean, yes, red robin 2009 was again bumpy because he was at a very low point in his life but in general, that run was dark for him.
editorial wise, we'd never get to see what they made of it because they did the reboot and started new-52 a few years after. but whether he'd continue being red robin/going down this path, or if he'd shed the identity and go for something lighter... it's hard to say.
i kind of like the thought that he'd change his identity and try to take a lighter approach, try to pull himself from bruce's influence, though with how it's all set it up, it seems fated that he'd end up there. there was red robin 2009, but then there was his sixteenth birthday incident (which sounds bad here and i'd read this before reading it myself but god when i read it it pissed me off so bad... really what turned me off bruce as a 'good' father figure, i can't lie). he ultimately ends up going back and becoming robin and this is the turning point for him where he agrees to enter this mindset that bruce wants him to be in. (this post talks mainly about timsteph but it is also a point to the end about the shift in his character and how that affected his relationships as well)
i mean i know red robin 2009 is marked by the grief of bruce's 'death' and a bunch of other Very Bad Shit but even when we got past that and he had his little 'Let me let in the people who love me because i am Not batman' he then proceeded to go a little surveillance crazy and make a hit list (something like that, it's been a while..) but. yeah.
ultimately, at the core of his character, i think he is good and compassionate and kind, so, even aside from all that (like the birthday incident), i think he would've made his way there eventually. it could maybe be why we see him returning to robin, if we wanted to try and pretend dc making him be robin is a completely normal and logical decision that they actually thought through. like a way to return to the bases and feel it out from there. though i still think they could've just. idk. given him a BREAK from vigilantism to figure it out. i'm a big proponent of civilians and their place amongst vigilantes and superheroes and i feel like tim's due a break, which is why i put that stuff in my fics. i do want to see him step back and try to figure out his life, because at one point, though robin 1993 was arguably defined by the balance between robin and tim drake and had plenty of civilian friends to keep things interesting, we don't see much as far as what he wants to do. which i suppose could be part of his relatability factor that tim drake, the character, was conceived with
but idk at this point they have to give us something 😭 anyway. this got VERY long i am very sorry.. i don't mind long asks either but i might've overshot my response... alas. i also hope i more or less answered your question??? if not feel free to slide back in here and talk to me! i rambled a bit here and it's like. 3am rn i'm scheduling this to post because i wanted to get it all written Now and. yeah.
thank you SO much very happy to hear you're enjoying everything <333 hope you continue to enjoy :**

It's been wonderful being able to talk about these things for me too! I haven't really had the opportunity since Y7 came out, so I'm positively buzzing. And no worries about the tone of your post about Daigo's article haha, I appreciate it when issues are pointed that I might've missed otherwise since that's at least something actionable.
But I'm obviously not going to stop anyone from venting frustrations with the wiki or with Fandom as a platform; I frequently find myself frustrated too! It's one of the things that keeps people editing the wiki. I'm honestly fine with whatever as long as it's not accusing us of being fujoshi for the billionth time lol, but for better or worse I do like to clarify what we're trying to do if there's any confusion.
Speaking of, Mine's relationship tags are kind of a funny story! So a lot of them have these dotted underlines and question marks, right? You're supposed to be able to hover over underlined terms to see a short definition (on desktop) and click the question mark to see an article with all the definitions on mobile, since hover actions aren't possible on a touchscreen.
But since the article was and still is under construction, Fandom doesn't show the link to logged-out users. So I had no idea it just looks like we're saying the tag is ambiguous lol. It's up now though, so it's hopefully easier to understand what we're trying to do!
I just found it funny I specifically added that feature to reduce confusion. Half the grief we get over Mine's "romantic interest" tag is because people assume we're saying it's mutual (we chose the term to try and avoid the "mutual" connotations of "love interest," but I guess that didn't work out). I also thought it might help with somewhat esoteric tags like "co-parent" (which was put in place for Jo and Arakawa and then I kept thinking of others) and "surrogate son." Turns out it's tough to boil complex relationships down to one term!
I definitely have SO many questions about New Year's Day and I probably always will; for the space of only one night, it's a huge blank. I certainly do have to wonder if shipping Masato off to America was decided then and there. There's a lot that could possibly be expanded on in RGGO (further interactions between Arakawa and Jo included lol), so I've got hope for that too now that we're back to random events. I'd be really interested to see how you'd portray it someday!
Talking about Nakai and Tsutsumi reminded me, Nakai mentioned he read the whole script in a day so he "wouldn't do a disservice to Arakawa or Sawashiro's characters." That kind of stuck out to me precisely because there are so few scenes between them compared to like, Arakawa and Ichi, and they're all relatively low-impact in comparison.
Of course, it could be marketing on account of him and Tsutsumi getting to co-star again, or the scenes could simply have stood out to him more for that reason, or he could've had a different impression of the ratios having read the script rather than played the game. But the part of me that makes me want to go Off The Deep End speculating is kind of wondering if there were other scenes planned?
And absolutely! I'm not able to reblog often because the post editor's been crashing whenever I try to tag my posts, but I hope you know I love your work and I'll support pretty much anything you put out! I'm very excited to share my findings as well.
A lot of it's to do with Mine's relationship to Western culture vs. Japanese culture (his "westabooism," basically), so that's specific to him, but there a lot of interesting concepts and theories in Japanese psychology regarding familial bonds, met and unmet emotional needs. They work as an explanation for his probable feelings of alienation from Japanese culture, but I feel they would make for an interesting lens to examine the Arakawas through as well.
I actually hadn't ever considered the similarity with regard to Mine and Jo's dads, but that makes so much sense! If I were to take it a step further, I think feelings of "abandonment" by their fathers have had long-lasting effects on both them and Masato. Jo we've been talking about, his father was technically still "there," but he wasn't in his corner, which feels much the same as abandonment to a child.
I think Mine's internalized a lot of the same feelings even though his father never meant to abandon him (I guess Jo's may not have, necessarily; alcoholism can destroy a family whether the individual wants that to happen or not). Like, unfairness, displacement, lack of control, the loss of the only support you have and so on. I think dwelling on that is what sent Mine's mental state spiraling, and what made it imperative to just believe Daigo was "dead" to try and move on as soon as possible. He didn't want to be hurt the same way again.
It's also probably what he was projecting in his ridiculous villain speech during The Orphanage Scene; the reason offering kids support in the way Kiryu does is a form of "victimization" in his eyes, at that moment, is because that support can be ripped away from you at any time. The scene is kind of hilarious to me because it's like, "okay we need Mine to have a kick-the-dog moment, his actions have been too understandable," but I do get it from that angle.
Similarly, I think those feelings of abandonment are why Arakawa faces the brunt of Aoki's abuse, because it's like, "YOUR negligence is why I had to go through all of that." So I get why Jo, like your sister, wouldn't want the finger pointed at him, but at the same time… damn. Perhaps if Arakawa had never had that talk with Masato, things might've been different. I get the impression he wouldn't be able to endure keeping things to himself for as long as Jo, though, given things like the letter he sent Ichi in prison.
Oh, yeah, Jo is CRAZY protective of Masato too! "If anything happens to him, killing you a thousand times would be insufficient!" I think part of his overreaction to having Masato's money is also that if Ichi can't listen to orders that fundamental, who's to say he listened to the orders to keep Masato safe? I guess if you see Ichiban as incompetent to the point of almost being a malicious actor, you might think that.
I'm sooo so glad you've noticed the rest of those similarities haha, I've been rotating them around in my brain like a cube for ages. A Venn diagram would be so fun to see! That's such an insightful look at the differences between Mine and Jo's offices too. I was a little confused about the placement of the social spaces, or even that they're there, but if you look at it as clearly separate from his personal spaces, it does make sense.
Also, not to harp on the books in the offices too much, but I compared the textures a little earlier. Mine's are basically all (very expensive) encyclopedias and language phrasebooks in English, Italian, French, and German, in contrast to Jo's discrete hardcovers and series of art history books. They're probably all stock assets lol, but I think they're surprisingly good fits; Mine dumping considerable time, money, and energy into his fascination with Western culture and Jo being the type to not want people to know what he's reading totally works for me.
But yes! It's kind of funny, because Yokoyama wasn't much of a Mine fan in his early days, but I hope he and the others keep on writing characters like him. I think of it as Mine's "legacy" in a series where past characters aren't acknowledged too often; the most I can recall are that Hakuho mention in 4 and the fencing around the Touto roof perimeter.
Speaking of, I love Mine's missed shots in the finale specifically because he's an excellent marksman in his Okinawa character story. Why? How? Who Knows, He's Perfect. (Probably not as good of a shot as Daigo though lol)
And yeahhh, there are other interviews, but it ain't the same! It was the most in-depth one I know of. I think this is one of the only remnants, and I shall entrust it to you.
Tumblr media
But yes, exactly! And I'm also glad Y7 introduced more people to them (myself included), Tsutsumi's my favorite actor of all time and Nakai's brilliant. They make a great combi! Of the things I've seen where they co-star, I think Princess Toyotomi and Hero SP are both solid; the latter is a special for a longer show, but I honestly didn't even notice lol. Musashi I wasn't personally able to get through even though I've read the book, so I'm not sure how it plays out between them.
Also I DIDN'T KNOW TORU DIED IN PURE??? That came out of nowhere oh my god T___T But if you're ever looking for anything rare, feel free to ask! I might know a guy (gender neutral) with a stash, Fly, Daddy, Fly included.
OH MAN MINE'S WIKI ENTRY I've definitely made my opinions about it known, but now knowing the truth behind it it's kind of funny and still so unfortunate. I'd almost want to recommend a section dedicated to the topic since it's such an integral part of his character, though I also understand wanting to keep the wiki strictly to factual information and to exclude speculation (or "speculation" anyhow- it's definitely more of a concrete situation, especially going off of the information provided in your pinned post on the topic. If anything, that sort of information would belong to the "Trivia" tab wouldn't it- but again, it's such a deep situation it can't really be summarized in one or two sentences) and the topic being too niche to have a page dedicated to it. It's nice to know that the subject isn't trying to be brushed under the rug though and it's just a matter of awkward formatting/incomplete work!
Furthermore on The New Years Event, I would LOVE RGGO to expand on the topic since they've been so liberal with the stories they make and the depth those stories add to the characters. Honestly, I was expecting Masato's card to have that as its accompanying character story, so it's unfortunate that he doesn't get it or any story as far as I'm aware (or maybe he does have one and my poor pull luck has just prevented me from getting the card to find out myself, but I've looked as much as I could and couldn't find an upload of it). Oh well, I guess it's the old "if you want something done you gotta do it yourself-" not that anything I could make could ever be up to scratch, so I'm glad I do have people interested in what I have in mind :)
About Nakai, I wouldn't feel wrong trying to accredit his comment to a time before he knew the full plot or saw the full game and was just debriefed on the general story/character relationships, and I also wouldn't put it past RGG to have deleted scenes/ideas (if those do exist, RGG please let me in your vault I'd like to take a peak...)!
The psychology of Mine is another topic I've been wanting to officially tackle for a while now, so I'm glad I have this chance to share some of what I have mental bullet points for.
Moreover, Mine's dad and how he "left" Mine undeniably impacted him significantly beyond physically leaving him alone, and it definitely manifests in The Orphanage Scene and his idea that killing Daigo would be "putting him out of his misery". In those instances, he sees Daigo and the orphans as victims of an unfair reality, Daigo being comatose, and the orphans having the endure the struggles of being orphans (and that added-on, projected anxiety that their comfortable lives now could vanish at any second like it did for Mine). Mine's mustache-twirling villainy is funny for its absurdity, but I also genuinely appreciate it since it lets us peak into his warps philosophy better. It doesn't justify his actions by any means, but it explains to us why he can justify his actions as from a place of love or pity as opposed to thoughtless evil.
To add on, Mine's relationship with his father, from what we're allowed to gather, was healthy and positive. Because of their positive relationship, the removal of such adds credence as to why Mine's desperate to get that love again. It especially makes sense considering Japan's horrendous attitude and negligence towards orphaned children that was even demonstrated during Mine's childhood while his father was alive.
And as an inverse aside, Jo's relationship with his dad was toxic, whether it was due to blatant abuse or combined negligence. It's fair to assume that Jo never got to experience genuine, secure love growing up, so as a result, it's not something he actively seeks out. He's been without it long enough that it's not something he necessarily craves like Mine who used to have it until it was taken from him.
Masato certainly makes it clear he felt isolated despite the efforts Jo and Arakawa repeatedly went through for him, and it's apparent it's an unfortunate side affect of internalized ableism. It definitely doesn't help anyone's case that Masato had seemingly been informed of the night of his birthday's events (from Arakawa's point of view, obviously), and it's clear that knowledge gives ammunition as to why he resents him.
You're right on Jo potentially seeing Ichi as a bad actor, it's not as if he has disdain for him for no reason! Like even if Ichiban hadn't taken Masato's money the way Jo could have imagined, the idea that Ichi can't be responsible in one avenue can easily lead back to Ichi having the potential to look after Masato, especially when he seems to be the one who predominately looks after him when he's tasked to.
I've already got my program open to make my little chart and have my reference pictures ready, so hopefully I can have that silly thing out soon haha- I'm glad you're interested in seeing it, and I hope other people will like to see it too! Jo and Mine really are my favorite antagonists, so it's funny (and I guess not surprising) that they have parallels to them.
To add on to that though, I think it's fun to look at the extra details, no matter how small; I'm probably more happy than I should be that you looked at their office's books, but I can't help be a fan of the details you found (whether they're generic models or not, I'm running with them- I've done more with less before lmao)! Mine having language books is definitely in-line with his interests, but Jo having art history books is weirdly endearing (and dare I say another point for "these are the same picture" comparing it to Mine's own love for art). Jo being so private to the point of blocking out the binds of the books he owns is so accurate to him and his secrecy, and the concept that he likes to read about art in his spare time is a new favorite concept for me.
Mine really isn't acknowledged much after 4; in comparison to Ryuji and Nishiki, he's remembered throughout the series the least (you can argue the same for Ryuji, but considering he gets a whole new life in Dead Souls, I think it's fair to say that makes up for the mainline series forgetting about him. Though I guess the same could be Mine getting a prominent role as Hijikata in Ishin... Definitely not as cool of a spot as to be a playable protagonist with a machine gun arm if I'm honest). In that, it's great that his likelihood can exist in future characters, and I hope they continue the trend of phenomenal antagonists in LaD8 and onward!
I'm eternally grateful for this frame you've gifted me thank you so much- Nakai's smile is such a blessing honestly, I'm glad if anything survived from the interview it can be this shot at least.
I've got Princess Toyotomi and Hero SP added to my watch list, DEFINITELY something I'll be excited to check out as a reward once I have all my important business taken care of this week! Honestly, I haven't seen Musashi either: while I was looking through their filmography I saw it was a project they did, but I've always been bad at watching long series so I didn't take the time to see their performance together.
For things I have seen though... yeah he dies SORRY IF THAT WAS HOW YOU FOUND OUT </3</3 Honestly I didn't expect myself to love the series as much as I did (admittedly it was predominately because of the leads and their relationship), but when it happened I was both- dare I say crushed- a little humored a little funny in a dark-comedy way.
And if you do have access to harder-to-get films, I'd absolutely be interested in hearing about it. One of Nakai's movies Good Morning Show has been haunting me for weeks: it sounds like such a fun movie yet I can't find it anywhere </3
#long post#fave#i have to fave these now because i be putting my essay notes in these OOPSIE#snap chats#the state of the arakawas is probably one of my favorite things to explain to people BECAUSE its so complicated#i showed my sister the ending of Y7 despite her not knowing anything about the series since i was talking about how upset it made me#and i tried to explain the whole family situation since it was relevent#just... yeah so the guy in blue was put in a locker by his dad and then he got saved by another guy#and he did that because he thought the guy in blue was his kid- who is actually the guy in red#because /his/ mom put him in a locker because of yakuza business and she couldnt take care of him#but now dad-who-put-a-baby-in-a-locker came back so now he co-parents alongside the guy who took his baby#but theyre not together they just. raise 'their' kid but the other guy doesn't know that his co-parent is the /actual/ dad#i know i already made a parody of it but it genuinely has the set up to some goofy slice-of-life manga i love it ☠️☠️#its SO funny to try to explain its easy to understand if you put it down on paper or write it out but to verbally do it 😭☠️☠️#moving on tho i'd love to know more about that japanese psychology bit#im asian myself and tho obviously not all asian cultures are the same they overlap#so im curious to see if i can recognize any of the issues i notice in my own culture with that which can be applied to the arakawas + mine#the bit on his western idolization is something im interested in too ! esp based on the books in his office it could be an interestin topic#man i just keep looking at that interview picture and it really does have the energy of a proud dad and his son#maybe thats just because nakai's smile reminds me of my dads#but yes yes thank you again for writing it ! i know i keep saying it but i cant stress how nice it is to take this extensively#especially because not only do i learn a bit more and learn some details i missed but it also helps me expand my own thoughts#that i hope to make into bigger posts#on that note though i have one more quick post to make after this one then i have to tend to some of that Important Business..#and thank you for being a supporter of me and my work ! sometimes i get a bit self conscious about it#i know i post a lot too and i never expect people to interact with my things so im grateful for the knowledge you enjoy it !

Dream, I trust you a lot, and sorry for dumping my mess in here but... I feel like I'm going through a lot lately and I'm confused as for where I stand. I feel like this year, a lot has been happening that has never happened before. For example, I feel like I've been getting my ego hurt a lot. I was someone who always believed a lot in myself (in my ego) and for example, lovewise, whenever I liked someone I always had this belief of "anyone I want, wants me" and it was always true for me. This year though, that belief has been challenged and I have been humbled real good.
I have a friend who's been triggering me a lot, not that she is doing anything, I have found I feel some sort of envy that I dislike, but I can't deny it. Something happened recently where a guy I had a crush on (it was not serious AT ALL, just a little crush), no one knew except for her and myself, and then we found out he liked my friend and not me. She started feeling guilty about it, but I was not angry at all (why would I be). Now I am angry because she's been pitying me and trying to "make me feel good" about something I didn't feel bad about. I feel ashamed? Because I can imagine her telling other people about it and pitying me because this guy likes her and not me, and that bothers me lmao.
Also about the envy, I feel like she's so effortless and everything is so easy for her, I know that I am always planning and overthinking and things do not seem to go my way, so it bothers me how she doesn't even try. It's funny because I have been on a spiritual path where it is constantly repeated that there is not effort required and then the proof (my friend) shows up in my reality and I am triggered af by it.
I don't want to feel this envy towards someone I am supposed to love and care about. She's been a very good friend and I'm feeling like a bitch. I just can't be happy when she's happy and I don't know how to change it. I feel like a horrible person.
And about the guy, I cried, not because of him, but because I feel like this year I have been put through so many moments where I am constantly being rejected, I don't know how to deal with it because I had never been rejected and I know we repeat "there is nothing to change, things happen in a perfect way" but then we also have revision. So I don't know what to do. I don't know how to differentiate acceptance from internalizing things that make me feel horrible. I feel victimized haha, and I feel like there's nothing I can do for me, except accepting victimhood. Omg I swear I am so confused and I feel so trapped 😭
hello <3
i'm glad you feel you can trust me. thanks for coming here to open up about your experiences and how you feel <3
i think that its veryyyy normal to go thru this phase in life where suddenly you're triggered by things that weren't triggering before. think about it, its really easy to not be triggered when everything goes well. and when its suddenly not going well... well when we easily waver like that, it shows that maybe we werent as confident, or secure, or trusting, etc etc as we thought. it allows us to deal with shadows that were buried deep, so that we can continue with experiencing the pure love and abundance that is there for us beyond those painful illusions.
comparison is the root of so much pain. that envy you feel is normal so give yourself a bit of grace here. we've all felt envious or jealous before in our lives and thats okay. the issue here is simple the way you see her and the way you compare yourself to her as if shes the pinnacle of success. but shes just living her life, and through that youre able to see where your own self beliefs are.
the thing is that if we can see people's wins as wins for ourselves and not something that works against us, we are able to manifest more lovely things for ourselves. here's some affirmations you could go off of to help you begin shifting your perspective: there is so much X for everyone ! including me ! (example: there is so much love for everyone, including me)
take it slow and let urself feel it out, bc trying to push down ur feelings never helps, it only encourages them to grow. so let yourself feel how you feel but don't settle with it. make the decision to, slowly but surely, shift your perspective on how things have been unfolding and begin anew.
its okay to feel like a victim for a little bit, to let yourself be engrossed in the drama and melancholy of that, sometimes its what we need. the thing is that you don't stay there forever, you give yourself a moment to feel it all out and you get to decide when you want to start again as someone who is choosing to actively believe in themselves and in their lives. i would say forget about revision here, bc revision can be more like an attempt at control when youre feeling so low, and when youre feeling that low and out of control, its best to surrender and accept where youre at so that you can move forward.
i hope this helps in some way ! <3

i think why i like jerid messa, outside of the objective hilariousness of
"but that kid looks like a boy" -> all of jerids friends and loved ones dying
is that hes a genuinely really interesting parallel to char aznabale from the original 0079, but his legacy in fandom places him as something of a different character type altogether.
i say parallel, because i do think jerid was created with the intention of paralleling char aznabale in the same manner that kamille parallels amuro ray: an older officer pilot of the enemy organization [with blond hair] who forms an early rivalry with the protagonist due to a sense of humiliation from being outmanoeuvred by a 'total newb' pilot and who develops newtype powers in time for their final battle with the protagonist after losing a loved one [or several in jerids case].
he is in essence zetas char clone, but given what his legacy in the gundam meta narrative sense has been across series and in uc itself its clear he wasn't able to actually make that work given as hes remembered as 'that joke of a dude who kept trying to kill kamille'.
i think thats for a few reasons.
1] hes not nearly as cool as char, or rather hes never really presented as cool as char gets presented as. jerids a lot more openly insecure and emotional in his moments of vulnerability or in his passions, and he doesnt really have much in the way of a street cred when we first meet him and he only develops said cred in the titans well the organization is deteriorating. char by comparison is introduced to us as the 'fearsome red comet' during the arguable height of zeons power.
2] he never really gets to be a threat to kamille. both jerid and char are ultimately equally unsuccessful in their attempts to defeat their rivals, but where char gets to easily dominate his and amuros early fights before getting put on the back foot at jaburo to show how far amuros come, kamille often dominates a lot of his and jerids early fights and it never really improves for jerid after that [even if they're arguably suppose to be becoming more skilled in parallel to each other compared to amuro and chars relation]. this is no better illustrated then kamille kicking jerids gun out of his hobbled ass before tossing jerid down mount kilimanjaro.
3] char was something of a shaker and mover of the plot well also being amuros rival. he kills garma, he takes a leading position during jaburo, he relentlessly pursues amuro in space and he kills kycillia prematurely ending the war. jerid kills people kamille cares about, but ultimately hes just a cog in the machine of the gryps war. meaning other characters are more important to look out for, leaving him somewhat easily ignored. ya know, outside of the funny haha joke of inadvertently helping secure the downfall of the titans cause he laughed at kamilles name.
and i cant help but find that kinda interesting, in the same way i find iok kujan interesting as a parallel to orga itsuki [charismatic commanders who suck at piloting mobile suits and whos men are intensely willing to throw their lives away for, despite said commanders not really having a god damn clue what they're doing].

i am now compelled to make my account useful again. So have some apocalypse bitches that I love so goddamn much.
*SHARP INHALE*
Tumblr media
Starting with:
VANQUISH they/them
° the most responsible of the crew, but also the snobbiest.
° arrogant af! Talk shit, get hit. (With an execution axe)
° judgmental (fitting for a corrupt judge)
° they run a little kangaroo court, where they see the jury and the prosecutors as little marionettes they can play with for their little sick, twisted, and unfair puppet show.
Tumblr media
ILLNESS he/him
°feeshy 💚💜💚
°likes to sing, uses it to lure ppl in.
°plays the role of an "angel of mercy" (for those who don't know, that's a type of serial killer who kills people under their care who are very ill and are suffering from their illness, even if they can still be healed) except here, he's not actually sympathetic for you at all :)
° the tallest of the harebringers, and the most plump.
°makes his own special plagues himself. The one he's carrying rn doesn't have a name just yet, but it's his favorite by far.
°DON'T let those droopy eyes and soft voice fool you, he can lose his temper at the drop of a hat.
°Can and will cry. Like, a lot.
°has his own diseases himself, but he's pretty immune.
°has pollen allergies.
Tumblr media
HATRED she/it
°ANT LADY
°likes spreading rumors about ppl she finds "problamatic"
°will fight you with her bare hands if she finds you a nuisance
°her braid makes her explode like a bomb, but it doesn't hurt or kill her. (Not like any of them CAN die anyhow)
°axe crazy arsonist
°don't say shit bout her shit plzdontyouwilldiehorriblypleasedon-
Tumblr media
WILT he/him
°can sap any energy from plants and crops for himself, yet he is unable to gain weight... Especially with how much he takes. (Daym)
°his ragdoll look is supposed to be some sort of irony, he's a toy himself, yet he sees the people around him as toys for himself.
°speaking of, he uses his ragdoll appearance to manipulate children into thinking he's a doll their parents secretly threw away years ago. (He usually does this to 4-9 year olds)
°he also manipulates authority figures and law makers into raising the prices of food and bevrages.
°like the others, his short tempered side comes to light when things don't go his way, but out of all of them, his tantrums are the most destructive.
°he's a bit insecure about his lazy right eye. (His right)
Tumblr media
DECAY she/her
°gives souls who died in the hands of the others a little comfort before spiriting them away.
°LOVES animals! Especially cats and crows.
°Despite her being all sweet n cute n stuff, she also has a reputation of goading people into suicide at times.
°illness and hatred are VERY protective over her (they aren't her parents, they all treat each other like siblings) make her cry, see what happens. :)
°she complains about headaches alot. But she refuses to remove the knife from her head, she calls it her "good luck charm"
° can turn into a crow herself.
Tumblr media
WORMWOOD he/them
°leader of the harbringers
° technically the harebringer of havoc?
° HAHAHA HOW ARW YOU THAT SHORT-
° he's kinda scary despite his tiny stature...
°heard some of yall like those stained glass angel wings, SAY NO MORE!
°one of the "cavern angels" which are basically evil angels that are like that naturally and haven't been cast aside like fallen angels.
° birch tree, worm, get it??? Ha! Haha, ha... I'm not funny :(
°BE AFRAID!
Tumblr media
Height comparison!
congratulations on getting thus far! Have some lore as a reward!
So basically, wormwood was always very lonely, so he made these guys out of calamity energy, he also bosses them around quite a bit, so sometimes, they sneak off and do their own thing. (Usually ends in them getting in trouble) wormwood was feeling generous one day, and decides to conquer an island for his harebringers to rule over their own piece of land and make it to their liking! The harebringers had a fuckin field day with this, and used this as an advantage to leech off the residents' sufferings. So now, it's up to Elpis to save the residents and end wormwood's schemes once again. (I'll give y'all Elpis later tho, I'm still working on her)
That's everything, thanks for listening to me ramble about my children.🩷
TL;DR art of the 5 harebringers in my version along side wormwood! Including vanquish, illness, hatred, wilt and decay.

Once again I am back to talking about a jjk poll because it's been on my mind today. I just wanna look at the top 10 and talk about the misogyny choices of the fanbase.
Megumi - I think Megumi's alright and I don't have anything against him. His involvement in the main story keeps him relevant but I dunno, I still don't have anything to talk about sorry
Yuji - I once again want to advocate that my boy Yuji should have been #1. He keeps getting overshadowed in these polls and I wish that he was given justice.Unfortunately this may be the last poll but Yuji will be no.1 in my heart.
Gojo - Okay let me be real I thought box boy would be #1 just to mess with Gege after he got released. Like Gege would 100% kill him off in the cruelest way if he was first but it would be hilarious nevertheless.
Geto - wait is this him + kenjaku? Geto has been getting more promo leading up to s2 + he's one of the more significant characters to the overall story so I shouldn't have downplayed his popularity. But I feel like he should be lower down compared to some of the other characters on the list.
Yuta - He's higher than last time so that's nice. I'm a firm believer that he should have been fourth instead of Geto and that gap was WAY too large.
Naoya - haha very funny. Yeah the guy with no character and was supposed to develop both Maki and Mai's characters and he was higher than BOTH of them COMBINED. Like what has he really done? Bffr. This is most likely due to him looking 'attractive' compared to other members of the Zenin clan who are NOT on the top 30. Like I said before, there are characters below him that have been in the manga way longer and had a far greater impact. But hey that's shonen fanbases for you.
Nanami - Another good day for Nanami fans.I'm surprised he's still in the top 10 and was expecting him to land around 14-16 but I was proven wrong. I do enjoy his character though so I don't really mind that he's in the top 10.Hope to see him shine in s2
Inumaki - Okay before I get sniped let's be real. He has not done anything to deserve being in the top 10. I literally ran an account counting how many days he was gone and there was barely any signs of him coming back until recent events occured. He really should have been in the 10-20s and while I do like his character I can't deny salmon boy was kinda irrelevant.
Maki - This is what happens to a female character in a shonen series. People always go on about how the female charcters in jjk are 'so developed' but when it comes to it, they are barely recognised in polls like these. Her achievements SHOULD place her to top 5 (top 3 imo) as her character has been integral in so many events and has one of the most emotional stories in the series. Her being below characters like Naoya and Inumaki is a disservice to her character and I urge people to reread her arcs to see why she is one of the best characters in the series.
Choso - Still salty about this. This is mainly because I consider Choso wasted potential but I feel like it's more criminal to see him be on here instead of Yuki. I know I am a resident Yuki fan so I may be biased but she has been in the story numerous times. Her ideals and philosophies are interesting and complex and her showdown against Kenjaku (although a bit dissapointing) is one of the most unique fights in the series. Two intellectual characters with a deep history with the jujutsu world and real word experiences going head to head. Then you look at Choso's arc with his brothers along with himself and it just pales in comparison. I do think Choso should have been in the 10-20s as he is still a good character but not having the SPECIAL GRADE SORCEROR and former STRONGEST SORCERER on the list. I'd also argue that this was a case of fandom misogyny as she is one of the more important characters but is constantly undermined or vilified by the fanbase
All in all, the list is kind of sad to see. Mainly due to the female characters being overshadowed by male characters who may not have deserved the place. I invite conversations to talk about the poll but I'm not fighting people over this

TGAA: Mastermind Swap AU (so far)
“Perhaps, it’s so that rain and spray don’t find their way in when the seas are rough.”
“Maybe that’s it, Susato-san,” Ryunosuke responded unenthusiastically and turned from the ventilator grille back to the table. “I suppose - wait, what?”
Someone was sitting under the table, and he wasn’t there a minute ago. He didn’t seem to be alerted by a startled yelp.
“Oh! How did he...?” Susato exclaimed.
Ryunosuke muttered frantically, watching the man for reaction. “I have no idea who he is, or how he got in here. But he looks suspicious and...” He faltered. “Tall! Suspiciously tall.”
Not only did the man seem very tall, but he also was wearing a Western-style green overcoat. Perhaps he was European? Ryunosuke could make out his silvery-white hair and tan skin, but that could belong to anyone.
“Naruhodo-san, don’t tell me... Do you really not know who that is?”
Taken aback, Ryunosuke scrambled for words. “Um, well... no. I don’t have any foreign friends or acquaintances.”
“Well, in that case... we simply must talk with him!” Susato looked oddly excited.
Ryunosuke cautiously approached the man who had decided to sit cross-legged on the floor instead of on the perfectly fine chair, tinkering with something and still paying no attention to either of them.
“Um... excuse me.” Nothing. He crouched down to get a better look. “Excuse me! Do you have a moment to spare?”
The man snapped his head to the side, and Ryunosuke found himself looking into disturbingly pale blue eyes on an unexpectedly young face.
“Greetings,” said the man, throwing out his hand - for a handshake, probably? “I am Mael Stronghart, a consulting detective.”
***********
As you might’ve guessed, the high concept of this AU is swapping some characters’ roles and moral alignments (and ages when appropriate), centered about the opposition of Herlock Sholmes and Mael Stronghart.
Disclaimer: this is a “haha funny similarity” AU rather than an “actual character analysis” one, fueled - who am I kidding - by the aesthetic enjoyment of imagining characters at different ages. With that out there, I present my logic and reasoning spectacular the Mastermind Swap AU! (under the cut)
The Masterminds - Sholmes and Stronghart: [this AU started with me thinking about the tropes they share and now we're here!] Remember how Stronghart has Damon Gant's looks but a more subdued personality? Well, Lord Chief Justice Sholmes gets a less subdued personality. I have no other way to describe it. Detective Stronghart is more high-strung than Sholmes, takes himself very seriously in comparison. I'm thinking this AU wouldn't have Dances of Deduction in the same form, because the guy wouldn't like to even pretend to be wrong.
The Mentees - Iris and Barok: Iris here is the adult younger sister of Klint, while Barok is his unknowing son (would his name even be Barok?). While Iris gets her fair share of angst here, she does develop a sort of carefree personality under Sholmes' mentorship, and it's only intensified by the Reaper accusations and her pretending that everything's fine (which only makes the public more sus, and the Reaper nickname or a variation of it sticks). Overall she's a bit like Regina Berry in the "does she even know we're not playing some game in court" sense. Little Barok is his usual grumpy self, now in precocious mode. Just this very serious little gentleman. Also now he's the team's engineer gets to build more than miniature crime scenes!
The Forensic Right-hand-people - Yujin with Susato and Sithe with Maria: same age, same job, same role, nothing needs to be said here. Not too unlikely that Lord Chief Justice Sholmes decides to corrupt the last Japanese student too. Logistical problems (how does Yujin stay in Britain while Sithe goes abroad, and how does everything go if they don't do that?) are to be had, though.

You are so right for the M*A*S*H and Rise!Leo comparison!! It's so good! They're both such confident little dummys (affectionate) who secretly have the biggest nerd hearts and rely on their friend group wayyyy more than they want to admit.
Drink some water today!!! Thank you so much for sharing your writing and how much you love the ninja turtles :)
Hi nonnie! Thank you for coming by and reminding me to drink water, I will surely need it today!
If you want to read a long ass inner monologue about Hawkeye and leo though, I’ll stick it under the read more line - I want to preface this by saying these are unpopular opinions and if you don’t agree it’s totally fine! I just started thinking about it (since I kinda thought of Leo as the “Hawkeye” in my MASH au) and now that I’ve seen the movie I guess I want to expound on things a little bit.
So the comparisons between Hawkeye and Rise Leo are pretty surface level for me. I think since I finally saw the Rise Movie my opinion has definitely changed a lot on whether Rise Leo is actually like Hawkeye. I’m probably going to make some people mad by dragging Hawkeye through the mud a little bit but hey that’s tumblr lol.
I actually Like the Character of Rise Leo more than I like Hawkeye. Are they both charismatic and flashy? Yes. Are they martyr coded a little bit and single minded when it comes to following their ideals? Also yes.
But I think that’s where the similarities end.
(Edit: came back and was thinking that I hope Present Rise Leo turns out different than Peepaw in the movie but I think that’s already happened since he made different choices. Ex Present Future Leo started utilizing his brothers strengths and listening to his team. Btw really liked the movie. Am I traumatized? Yes. Was it good? Also yes.)
One thing that I’m sure someone would notice upon watching Mash and seeing Hawkeye, is how destructive he actually is. On the surface level it’s “haha he’s drinking all the time and he’s angry about these young people dying and he’s coping with it the only way he knows how” and the audience isn’t expected to think about it because the story is told in a way that paints Hawkeye in a good light. Of course you’re suppose to like him. He’s Likeable! Isn’t he funny?
But Hawkeye has several instances where he proves he is not fit for command. And he’s perfectly honest about that, even when people try to put him in command he doesn’t want it, he does it in a flippant way because if he took things seriously he’d probably scream. He is not a leader. He is not the person I would want to depend on in a crisis. He is charismatic, but it’s mostly a smokescreen. He gets patient blinders on what make him a great surgeon, but there’s been several times where he’s considered putting his colleagues in danger and someone else has to be the voice of reason. I honestly think Hawkeye forgets sometimes that just because he’s a doctor doesn’t mean he’s safe.
I’m not saying Hawkeye lacks compassion. I think he’s very compassionate and I think he has deep bonds with his colleagues. I just also think he makes decisions that don’t fully take those colleagues into consideration.
Now, push all that aside and place it in a box, and remember that what makes Hawkeye such a great character is how dimensional he is. That no one is perfect. That if you have a perfect character in media it’s probably not a very well fleshed out character.
Rise Leo on the other hand IS fit for command, he just took a while to get there, because he’s a teenage mutant ninja turtle lol. I imagine in the Bad Future he had to grow up pretty quickly, learn how to make hard calls and even how to navigate bad calls.
I guess the reason why I say the similarities between Hawkeye and Rise Leo are surface level is because their similarities are their masks, their coping mechanisms. If you peeled back the layers and looked at their actions, that’s when you would start noticing a marked difference. I would trust Rise Leo in a bad situation in a heartbeat. With Hawkeye I’d be afraid of the outcome.
I guess another way of saying that is Rise Leo is a goober because it’s almost a sleight of hand, a look at my I’m so goofy don’t take me seriously please don’t take me seriously I can’t take the stress of you taking me seriously.
And Hawkeye is a goober because if he stopped moving for a second two long he might snap. Because being a goober is how he keeps the spotlight on the parts of him he wants you to see, so he won’t have to explain why he’s hanging on by a thread.
The womanizing though. I could see Leo going through partners until he meets the right one and realizes he’s got to clean up his act. Hawkeye, hey at least he’s not married (stares into the side of Henry Blake and Trapper John’s heads until they spontaneously combust)
If I haven’t scared you off nonnie, I’d love to hear which MASH character is your fav?

57. “I come here whenever I need a quiet place to think…to sort my head out.”
and/or
36. "How do you even know that this is here?"
in which Percy and Annabeth aren't the best of friends, but meet on the rooftop and discover that maybe, they're exactly what the other needs,, percabeth
It’s two in the morning, and Annabeth finds that she can’t bring herself to sleep.
She tries to hold her eyes shut in hopes of the sleepiness she’s felt all week slipping over her, but another hour passes and she’s still wide awake.
When Annabeth sits up in her bed, she has no intentions of slipping out of the apartment, past her dad’s room, but then she looks out the window where the city lights are awake as can be, and she finds herself already unlocking her window and stepping onto the fire escape.
It’s a long journey up the metal stairs, so she takes her time to appreciate the blow of the winter wind and the noise of New York City that she’s come to love. It’s a biting chill, one that has her wishing she’d put on a jacket prior to her midnight voyage to the top of her apartment building, but it comforting and welcome.
When she does reach the end of the fire escape, she hops onto the ledge of the building and stares off into the skyline. It should be dark so late at night, but instead, it’s glowing. It’s beautiful, she thinks, the industrial feel of the city. It’s so unnatural, but it’s where she’s grown up. She’s used to the honking of horns and the noises that fill the silence.
Annabeth walks along the edge carefully, focusing on the views further in the distance. She wonders if she’d be able to see where the Earth begins to curve and thinks about how big the planet really is (and how small she is in comparison). She can spot the point where the lights seem to have a gap, and she thinks she’s looking at what would be a river in the daylight.
She feels as though she can finally breathe in this moment, though she hadn’t realized how suffocated she had felt before, stuffed into the small space that was her room. Her hair blows in the wind, and she refrains from thinking about how difficult it’ll be to brush it out later. It’s freeing, relieving, and—
“Don’t fall,” a voice warns.
Annabeth rolls her eyes at the voice that is all too familiar, turning her head to she can look over her shoulder. It’s darker atop the building, but even she can spot the mischievous glimmer in her eyes that’s always irked her much more rigid personality.
“Jackson,” she says, a tone of sarcasm in her voice, “What a pleasure.”
“I always am,” he says, grinning. He’s leaning against a metal unit, staring at her, and had they been anywhere else, at any other moment in time, she might’ve made some snarky remark to wipe the grin off his face. She tells herself she doesn’t have the energy to deal with it right now, and that it’s the reason for her silence. “You plan on getting down from there anytime soon?”
“Aw. It’s so sweet you’re worried.” She knows it’s true, despite the small laugh she hears pushed from his lungs. That’s something that she’s discovered about him. Even with the person he hates most in the world, he cares.
“If you fell, people would probably think I pushed you.”
Annabeth snorts.
He’s not particularly wrong. The rivalry they have going on in school is strong, and people probably wouldn’t put murder beyond them.
“Seriously,” he says. “Get down.”
She jumps down from the short ledge towards him. Her eyes adjust slightly to the light, and she can see him better now. He’s in a windbreaker, and his own hair is ruffled in the wind. She finds herself wanting to run her fingers through it before catching herself. It surprises even her – Percy’s made her life nothing but literal hell, and she’d rather die than get caught playing friendly with him.
Annabeth stands next to him but doesn’t sit yet.
“What are you even doing here?” she asks.
“I’m stalking you,” is his answer.
Annabeth kicks him lightly and suppresses a laugh at his dramatic hiss of pain. “What are you actually doing here? You don’t live in this area.”
“I come here whenever I need a quiet place to think…to sort my head out.”
“Percy Jackson can think?”
“Haha, you dick.”
“I’m messing with you,” she says. She chooses then to sit down beside him. She thinks it may be the first time she’s sat near him voluntarily. Annabeth supposes there’s no harm if there’s no one there to see. “How do you even know that this is here?”
Percy shoots her a look, though not an unkind one. It has her neck flushing red despite the temperature outside. “How do I know that this building has a roof?”
“You know what I mean, smartass.”
Percy shrugs and extends his legs. His feet nudge hers playfully. “I’ve lived in this corner my entire life. I know just about everything there is.”
“That’s fair.”
“How about you, Chase? Why is my princess out past curfew?”
Annabeth chooses to ignore the nickname she’s hated for so long (and the way he calls her his).
“Couldn’t sleep,” she admits.
“Something bothering you?”
She hums. “Nothing in particular. I just figured if I was going to be awake, I might as well spend it outside.”
“And spend it with me,” Percy teases, elbowing her lightly.
“Because I love spending time with you,” Annabeth says. There’s a particularly harsh blow of wind that has her crossing her arms over her chest.
“Are you cold?”
“I’m fine.”
“Do you want my jacket?”
Annabeth’s never been one to swallow her pride, but it seems to have gotten significantly colder in minutes, and she’d rather not sit outside for who knows how long without any barrier from the wind. Still, she’s hesitant. “Are you sure?”
Percy chuckles lightly and slips his jacket off his shoulders. “Here.”
When she puts it on, it’s immediate relief. It’s still warm from his body heat, and it smells like him. It’s nicer than she cares to admit, and somehow, she feels comfort in the oversized fabric that she’s practically drowning in.
As she tightens it around her, breathing in the scent of him, she mumbles, “Thank you.”
Percy’s response is a brush against her arm with his fingers.
“So, what were you thinking about?” she asks. “When you came to my secret place?”
“Your secret place?”
“I called dibs. If you wanted it to be yours, maybe you should’ve tried harder.”
Percy gives her his lopsided smile at her remark. “I’m not really sure. Life, I guess.”
“About how you plan to torture me at school next week?”
“Oh, of course.”
“That spider was not funny, you know.”
“It’s because I have a crush on you.”
“And here I thought you hated me.”
“Do you think I would give my jacket to someone I hate?”
“I guess not,” she says, laughing. “You can have it back if you want.”
Percy shakes his head. “I’m alright.”
“Are you sure, though? It’s cold outside, and we’re not exactly best friends.”
He grabs her hand from her lap and squeezes it. “I’m alright, Annabeth. I want you to have it.”
Annabeth bites her lower lip, but gives in, sinking further into the jacket. It’s kind of heaven, she hates to admit. She feels as though she should hate this, spending time with Percy Jackson so late into the night, but somehow, she feels more at home than she has in a long time.
“Also,” Percy begins again, “not best friends?”
“Do you really consider us best friends?”
“I mean…you’d definitely have to define best friends. Two people that playfully bully each other? Sure.”
“Playful?” Annabeth chokes out. “Nothing about our relationship is playful. You hit me in the eye with a pencil a few days ago.”
“In my defense, that was actually an accident. I felt really bad about it.”
“Mh-hm.”
“But that doesn’t mean we’re not friends, right? I mean, I’d totally kiss you if you wanted me to. I think that qualifies as friends?”
Annabeth is no stranger to his lighthearted flirting, so she just rolls her eyes fondly. “That qualifies as something entirely different.”
“Probably.” Percy squeezes her hand again, and she realizes that he’d never actually let go. “But I’m actually going to miss bullying you every day once we graduate.”
“You’ll find a way, I’m sure. You’re going to NYU?”
“And you’re going to Columbia,” he responds back.
“I’ll be close enough to be bullied, then.”
“I guess so. Maybe I don’t want to bully you, though.”
“Aw, bummer. What would our relationship be without your flirtatious bullying?”
“Maybe something more?”
Annabeth looks at him then. He seems to be genuine, and so she finds she can’t look away.
“I do actually consider us friends, Annabeth. I mean it.”
Somehow, she knows he does.
“I guess friends isn’t so bad,” Annabeth says quietly, “if sitting up here is any indication.”
“We could have our weekly ventures to our secret spot.”
“My secret spot,” she corrects.
Percy grins brightly.
“But I wouldn’t be so opposed to that, as long as you never try to hit me with a pencil.”
“I didn’t mean to the first time,” he says lightly.
“Then friends,” she says.
“We’re living our own enemies to lover story.”
“Ew. Never mind. I don’t want to be your friend.”
“Aw.”
Annabeth just muffles a laugh into the sleeve of his jacket, choking out a quick kidding, and he pinches her in indignation. They fall into a silence, and the sounds of New York drown out in her ears. All she can hear is the rhythm of his breathing, and she can only focus on the warmth of his body.
“Do you actually have a crush on me?” she asks, suddenly curious.
“Maybe I do. I guess you’ll just have to stick around long enough to find out.”
Annabeth’s heart flutters. “I guess I will.”
Really, she’s starting to think maybe it’s not the worst thing in the world. Perhaps he’s never been as awful as she’s been telling herself. Maybe it was always just her pride.
Maybe Percy Jackson is exactly what she’s always needed.
Annabeth really has no control over it when her eyes begin to flutter shut. She doesn’t even realize it’s happening until Percy opens his arms towards her – an invitation – and she slides right in. His arms wrap around her, his face pressing into the top of her head, and she lets herself drift into the sleep she’s been wishing for.
She doesn’t wake up until the sun begins to peek over the horizon. She’s nestled deep against him, able to feel every breath he takes and hear his heartbeat. He’s sleeping when she lifts her head, so she allows herself to fall back against him, a subtle smile on her face.
It’s unexpected, but she feels safe in his embrace. It’s warm and happy in their secret spot, and she never wants to leave.
Annabeth stays here with him, in their secret spot, for just a bit longer.

The topic of the dub is a complex one for me. Because while I do love the cast as well, it's also like, I genuinely think it's a problem with the industry that they can all be traced to like 1 or 2 other Smash Hit properties with few exceptions.
Like of course the Japanese actors are also household names, but I would be comparatively really hard-pressed to find that big of an overlap in casting. I totally understand it's exciting for people who enjoyed those properties to be able to say "Hey, that's X!" and I'm exactly the same way, but I just find it hard to believe that the same couple of US voice actors who've dubbed nearly everything for ages are always the best choice.
But way way more than that, it's the knowledge that the actors were essentially told to "direct" their own performances that has left me with kind of a bad taste in my mouth. I don't see the point of having an experienced cast of "actors everyone likes" and not harnessing their talents. It's pure insanity to me in comparison to how much care Yokoyama and the other directors put into each and every line.
Of course it's a huge credit to the actors that they understood The Assignment well enough that it turned out as good as it did, and I would still say it's the best dub in RGGS history (not that this is saying much), but at times it was painfully obvious that they didn't have enough to work off of.
So, you know, it was still pretty good, but I feel like that was in spite of how it was handled, and that I only used to say it was "great" to fit in with all my friends who were saying the same thing. I don't fault anyone who does think so at all, of course, but in my case I don't wanna do that anymore. (Though I'm sorry to be so overly critical in your inbox haha, it's no problem at all if you don't wanna talk about that)
Anyway! The Mole Song! My Blood and Bones in a Title I'll Never Remember! Great movies IMO and both fortunately very very easy to find. I hope you enjoy them, and thanks so much as always for taking the time to indulge my recommendations!
SPEAKING OF...... I SAW YOU READ SOLILOQUY AND CONFESSION............. I love how the exact same things stood out to us like yes, I've been wanting to draw That Exact Scene for ages too, How Did You Know. LITERALLY IMMACULATE RIGHT... Love the character interactions and themes discussed soooo so much.
But it's also really funny you mention it on that particular post because I had a dream we were discussing an AraSawa fic (that you may or may not have written in the dream?) the same day I recommended them. You know, now that you mention it, I've had a metric ton of Mine dreams, a few Jo and/or Arakawa dreams, even a few with Mine and one of The Joes, but as far as I can tell I've only ever talked about one dream with Daigo in it.
Apparently, in the dream, MineDai were confirmed a couple in the 10th anniversary book. Because they were participants in an experiment that was trying to gauge whether there was some kind of psychic link between partners, and while that whole thing turned out bogus, MineDai were the only gay couple and the only ones to stay together after the experiment was over. Like what in the SUBSTORY--
I don’t mind the criticism: everything warrants it and nothing can appeal to everyone, so it’s totally welcomed! Again, I’m purely biased, so it’s as you said my adoration can be influenced from someplace personal (which is a habit I try not to fall into: I’d like to appreciate the work for what’s presented, not from what I know or ‘nostalgia’ I suppose, you know). I know other people still have their grievances about the English dub, so I wouldn’t say you’re alone in that and I think you should make your honest feelings known! We criticise the media we enjoy because we know it can be better (or we’d like to see better), so again I totally have no issue with you sharing your thoughts (especially since voice acting is a special interest of mine, so I’m always happy to hear people’s word on it)! :]
BUT YEAH ONTO THE FICS THE TONE AND EVERYTHING WAS SO GREAT for sure to have special spots in my fic list (though tbh it’s a small list- but I guess it’s still an honor in that right, right lmao). And the rain scene is SO good I don’t blame you for wanting to draw it too- the fic in general was everything I was hoping, and that scene was just especially so good and something I’ve always wanted to see between Jo and Masato :’] With Arakawa’s perspective, I loved the drama theme- like it makes sense and is obvious, and I loved how the author executed the concept and ‘outline’ of Arakawa’s life.
I still stand that I have no idea how dreams work (the thought of writing a AraSawa fic, while surely temptig, I doubt I have the ability for), but that MineDai one does sound right goofy. Genuinely some kind of silly substory moment, dubious experiments and fake surveys and all ☠️☠️

AHA fortunately for you my dear @shadow-sombras I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I don’t have a lot, but I do have some. I’ve only really been thinking about Jolyne and Jonathan as of late so not too many just yet. I’m thinking about jotting down jotaro stuff tho since he’s my slut bearer.
These are closer to general headcanons but they’re along the lines of what you asked so they work
Breeding kink is universal amongst all Joestars
Jonathan
Ngl hes literally so into the idea of pleasing you it makes him so happy, he just want to love you like a normal hucow. He wants to do good for you, so he’s really up to whatever you’re into.
Praise kink 100%. Tell him how good he is and how good he makes you feel and he’ll shudder in delight and his ears will flutter. Maybe yank his hair by the nape.
He’s technically a switch but he’s really closer to a service top. Put a collar on him and yoink him down while he’s on top of you and whisper things in his ear, he’ll do anything for you. Insta coom move.
He has really low impulse control so he often ends up losing it and plowing you senselessly
He will NEVER admit it because he’s too embarrassed but he’s into degradation too
Funny considering he has a praise kink
Call him a heifer and pin him under your boot and tell him why he’s a bad bull for getting too handsy and then force him to eat you out to make it up to you
He’s big so he’s usually sitting or laying down with you on top when you’re not positioned on the breeding bench for him which often ends up with your ass getting bruised so this is safer
He leans towards service top but that doesn’t mean he can’t be aggressive with it
He likes choking, actually. Both on himself and you. His hands are just so large and they look so pretty wrapped around your neck or in your mouth- it’s a method of gaining back his composure when he loses it
The choking feeds into his size kink, actually. He’s so big and beefy and you are relatively small in comparison. It really makes him want to see you swollen with his spend and unable to walk without his help.
Also disclaimer; a lot of these make it sound like Jonathan is all soft sex and cuddles and to be fair he kind of is but he thrusts hard and he most definitely is not gentle unless you ask him to be
He is very desperate to fill you up with his cum and it reflects in his haste and sloppiness
Jolyne 👀
Haha she’s gonna love you so fucking hard it’s not funny. Jolyne is actually more interested in you than she is herself so be prepared.
She’s surprisingly eager and rowdy when it comes to sex. Almost over eager actually, you have to tell her to tone it down a few times before she overwhelms you.
She also really wants to please you like Jona but it’s coming from a more sadistic place in Jolyne
Phat tease.
She’s big into overstimulation- she wants to make you cum very hard and then continue to toy with you for hours before she even gets to herself.
She’s just so enamored by how you squirm and wriggle. It gives her this fucked up sense of power because you’re her handler and she’s doing this to you. She usually touches herself while she messes with you.
She’s yet to bring it up you but she really wants wants to tie you up shibari style. Maybe hang you from her stall ceiling with a blindfold. Only reason she hasn’t talked about it is because it makes her nervous to suggest tying up someone who’s supposed to be in charge of her care and she doesn’t want you to get hurt.
If you do consent though she’s going to tie you up and then use her like she would a fuck toy.
“All of you? Just for me? How thoughtful of you to offer yourself up like this~” *muffled rope speech*
She’s into praise but only praise aimed at you.
OH also orgasm denial. Intense orgasm denial. If you have a schlong she will steal a cock ring from god knows where (probably Joseph) and use it endlessly. If u have a cooter she’ll take a remote controlled vibrator (COUGHLisaLisaCOUGH) and strap it to you.
Afterwards she usually exerts dominance by pulling you down and forcing you to eat her out, where she will then ride your face till you choke.
Her aftercare is IMMACULATE though, she’s super cuddly and doting over you. Lots of head rubs and soft murmurs
——————————————————————————
Sorry that it’s only two 😔 but these are all I had swimming around when u asked. I’m not actually a writer, I’m really just an artist. I just have thoughts sometimes. I think these are decent though.

I wanna talk about transformers again, and I suppose this time it’s more a theory than a ship or some AU. A headcanon though? Maybe, let’s see how this goes.
Alright, so those of y’all who’ve been around long enough in the TFP fandom may have seen those posts that compare Darksteel and Skylynx, the newly created predacon bros, and our much mourned BBBs Breakdown and Dreadwing.
If you’ve already noticed, you’ve noticed, but for those not in the know, we got similarities between Darksteel and Breakdown,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Skylynx and Dreadwing…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, this could simply just be coincidence, and I’m reading into this too much. But when have I ever stopped while I’m ahead?
The previous theory is that our wonderful predabros use slices of CNA from our dead cons, and knowing Shockwave, it’s an understandable concept. The idea here being, with a little bit of base CNA, it takes less time to grow the lads.
Now me, here in 2021, have been thinking of this. In doing that, I’ve come up with two questions; 1) when did Shockwave get the time to sample Breaky’s and Drwing’s CNA and 2) why stop at meagre CNA?
What I’m proposing here, which would help the theory for speedier development of predacons, that Shockwave took Breakdown’s and Dreadwing’s bodies and used them in full to make Darksteel and Skylynx.
Horrifyingly cold-sparked of him, innit?
A question that you may be asking; ‘If getting the CNA is so difficult, how is a full body easier?’. Well lads, I’ve got a handy dandy little work around that happened in universe, and could very well be the reason Shockwave got his singular servo on the bodies.
Knock Out being forced to turn over his experimental projects.
Yeah, perhaps that only covers Breakdown’s corpse (mainly due to C.Y.L.A.S), but logically, the scientific method is benefited from numbers, and passing up two forced mech bodies would be too much of a loss for Shockwave to ignore. Sure, it takes a special kind of f-ed up to see an experiment out of a former loyal ally, but Shockwave’s your mech.
He could have easily requested to head to Cybertron under ‘scientific’ purposes, and given that he was indeed SiC (ignoring Screamer for this post) AND head of experiments, Shockers had quite the authority on the matter.
I like to think this influences some personalities and… behaviours of the predacons, which is where I reach a bit and also bring up headcanons.
Darksteel may look a whole lot like Breakdown, but one could say that his voice sounds far from our blue con. But, given the entire episode of ‘Thirst’, Breaky was hissing and growling, one could easily say that his voicebox was a little… corroded. Steely’s got some vocal fry without the deep voice to make it sound anything other than a blender full of scrap metal.
…uh, no offense to him, haha.
Probably more on the headcanon side of thing, Skylynx may instinctively and automatically form a brotherly relationship to Darksteel because of his Dreadwing… ancestry? Yeah sure, they fight, but what pair of siblings don’t. Predacons do seem to have more of a family instinct in comparison to other bots, but Skylynx is just the embodiment of the ‘teasing big brother’.
Of course, canon may beat my head in with the ‘wrong’ stick, but I couldn’t care less, I’m here with ideas and these ideas are flowing.
Why do I bring this up?
Multiple reasons.
1) Knock Out going to the morgue on the ship to bury the mechs on a revived Cybertron, only to find that it’s been raided.
2) Starscream, forced to pair up with Shockwave for the time being, realising the extent he would go for science. Screamer gets to a) zap some familiar faces, and b) be the defacto leader of those said familiar faces…
3) Lol if Dreadwing were alive and met Predaking but then died anyway wouldn’t it be funny if Predaking recognised Skylynx and the latter gets confused???
