So, somebody told me that people who enjoy omegaverse fanfic would probably be more inclined/willing to check out my Blue/Owen fic even though it's not omegaverse.

So, here's my post detailing said fic. If you're an omegaverse writer/reader, could you consider giving this a try? For obvious reasons, it's not up the alley of most people who read regular fics.

Brief detailing of why under the cut.

Basically, it's the penis-in-cloaca sex. Understandably, people who like standard human × human sex aren't super willing to read that. And I'm trying to build more of a story too, but at the end of the day the first chapter is just sex.

Do the raptors ever show signs of “listening” to humans? Maybe nodding when asked something, or something similar to that?

Also, do they have likes and dislikes that you’ve noticed?

As for the Indominus- she is stunning. Has she ever mimicked anyone? Does she like specific things?

Rexy. We know her, we love her- how has she been dealing with the arrival of another royal?

I have a lot of questions. But mainly about the animals. I really do love the dinosaurs at the Park, even if I hadn’t had the chance to go for a while.

Always happy to answer the questions of a fellow Jurassicateer!

According to our resident raptor wrangler, Owen Grady, the key to ensuring the raptors are listening to an instruction is eye contact. While they don't nod or demonstrate any other human-like communication behavior, they will watch closely as their handlers convey their instructions. You get a sense as to whether they'll obey or not, a sudden sense of coordination amongst the pack, although Owen wasn't able to put it entirely into words. He did say that having Blue there to push any recalcitrant raptors is essential.

Blue's favorite thing is undoubtedly Owen. During the preshow portion of Raptor Encounter, you can see video of young Blue nuzzling him during training, and how quick she was to recognize him as alpha even then. There's also a moment before she eats that she'll often look for him, to see if he's watching.

Her sisters are a little more straightforward in their pleasures. Echo has a rock she likes to bask on between shows, and she's quite protective of it. At snack time, Charlie likes it when her rat is thrown over her so she can chase it, rather than catch it directly. Delta, strangely enough, has proven very partial to swimming, for lack of a better term. She'll often submerge herself in the paddock's pool and splash about, chomping at the water.

We've been watching Indominus very closely for more complex behaviors. She does like to pick out guests during the show and mimic their more interesting shirt patterns. The thing she likes most is to keep busy. We've just introduced a new toy in her enclosure, a sort of oversized puzzle cube that requires her to insert specifically shaped blocks into the right holes. Apart from the test during the show, she insists on keeping the blocks afterward to play with. Not even chewing on them, just clutching them with her claws and kinda fiddling with them. She might start stacking them soon.

Rexy doesn't actually know about Indominus! Both their paddocks are kept isolated from apex-level predators as we're fairly certain it would make them both aggressive. Similar reactions have been observed at Site B between the larger carnivores, although the animals in our Carnivore Country coexist more or less peacefully (albeit in separately walled-off enclosures).

Owen’s Solo Mission (Teaser)

Set in between the events of Fallen Kingdom and Dominion, Owen Grady is trying to find a way to keep himself and his new family of Claire and Maisie safe. When a mysterious note appears on his doorstep offering assistance in helping protect them, Owen secretly heads out to meet with the sender.

When Owen Grady first took up the position as a Velociraptor trainer at Jurassic World, the former Navy man didn’t have a shred of admiration towards the formerly-extinct dinosaurs. Although he vehemently turned down the prospect of militarizing the dinosaurs to use in the field, Owen still found himself not really embracing the concept of becoming the alpha of the four raptors that he trained. This however changed though after the events of Isla Nublar, when only one of Owen’s raptors (a female named Blue) survived and stayed on the island after all of the humans were evacuated. 

Upon returning back to the island at a later date to find and rescue Blue and several other dinosaurs from the now-active volcano that would completely decimate the island, Owen found himself slowly growing more protective of his favorite raptor and dinosaurs in general. This was most certainly assisted by his renewed relationship with Claire Dearing, who turned her life around after the events that occurred on Isla Nublar. Once a ruthless businesswoman who ran the park with an iron fist, Claire now found herself becoming a self-less activist trying to save all of the remaining dinosaurs from the volcano. 

After defeating not only the Indominous Rex but also the Indoraptor, Owen and Claire’s pseudo-family with Blue further expanded upon “adopting” Maisie, who was orphaned upon the death of her guardian during the events of the Indoraptor’s rampage. While the Indoraptor was going on its aforementioned rampage, several of the saved Isla Nublar dinosaurs were quickly sold off to countries and militias all across the globe to further line the pockets of greedy businessmen. However, many dinosaurs still faced extinction due to a gas leak in the basement of the dinosaur sanctuary where the sale was taking place. This quickly changed due to Maisie’s actions. Having recently discovered that she herself was a clone of her guardian Benjamin Lockwood’s deceased daughter, the girl began to empathize with the dinosaurs. With this in mind, the genetically engineered girl opted to free the remaining dinosaurs into the California wilderness to have a fighting chance at survival. 

In the time since the dinosaurs spread across the continental United States or arrived at their new locations across the globe, Owen and Claire had found themselves trying their best to care for the still-grieving Maisie after the death of her grandfather Benjamin. While Claire continued her activism by working at the Dinosaur Protection Group, Owen relocated Maisie to a cabin in the woods of California to prevent anyone from finding the cloned girl and using her for genetic experiments to find out how to continue cloning more humans. 

Due to his constant efforts of trying to prevent anyone from taking advantage of Maisie, Owen had quickly found himself growing incredibly protective to the point where he truly cared for the young girl. As such, when a note mysteriously showed up on the cabin’s doorstep one morning with the promise of helping provide “reinforcements” to protect Maisie, Owen was quick to accept the invitation. After convincing Claire to come to the cabin for a few days to stay with Maisie while he “went to meet up with some old Navy friends”, the hunky man quickly headed out to go meet the mysterious individual. 

Upon arriving that next night at the location listed on the note (a dilapidated house near the California-Mexico border), Owen tapped into the skills he’d gathered during his time in the military and cautiously approached the house before making a slow entry. As he slowly walked around the creaky old house with his gun drawn, Owen was quick to call out for anyone there to slowly make their way into the large foyer so he could see who sent the note. As he suddenly began to hear the sound of squeaky wheels grow louder, Owen quickly directed his flashlight in the direction of the noise. Upon seeing who the individual was, Owen was unable to prevent his jaw from dropping...

You hadn’t been working at Jurassic World for very long. But you had known better than most of what to expect out of the world of dinosaurs. You worked with one of the dangerous ones called the Indominus Rex. But it was rare for you to be out there with it. You spent most of your time observing others who worked with other dinosaurs. 

You were currently at your favorite place with the Raptors. It was one of the places where you felt peace. Your eyes watched the raptors with their trainer. You felt a little hot under the collar every time that you came here. Your boyfriend Owen Grady was quite the specimen when it came to working with his raptors. 

You gripped the bagged lunch in your hands as you waited for him to come out of the cage. It was lunchtime and you both tried no matter what to make time for one another to make sure that you had time together to keep your relationship going strong. You had no problems with this. You always loved seeing Owen working before coming and joining you for a meal. 

Owen swaggered towards you after he got out of the cage. “Been waiting long baby?” He questioned with a small smile. 

A small smile quirked to your lips. “No, I haven’t been waiting long Owen.” You said moving towards him. Your lips met with his in a soft kiss. 

“How goes it with the Indominus Rex?” He questioned softly against your lips.

“Harsh.” You said softly moving back from him. “They’re still making sure that it is safe for it to be seen.” 

“I wouldn’t doubt it.” He said with a huff as he wrapped his arm around you in a loving way. “Maybe you need to be moved onto another dinosaur.”

You let out a breath as the two of you walked slowly. “It’s not like I have much of a choice.” You admitted softly. “Most of them are taken if not all.” 

“You could always work with the raptors with me.” He said pressing a soft kiss on the top of your head as the two of you made it into an area that the two of you usually went to for lunch. 

You put the lunch down on the table. “I’m sure Blue wouldn’t like that too much.” 

Owen let out a soft chuckle. “I’m her Alpha…” 

“And I’m no one… Maybe an Omega.”  You said with a slight shake of your head. 

“You’re not an Omega.”

“Oh I’m not?” 

“You’re an Alpha like me.” 

You let out a soft chuckle. “Whatever you say darling.” You mused softly as you got lunch out of the bag. “Sorry it’s just sandwiches.” 

“I love your sandwiches.” Owen said reaching for your hand grasping it softly in his own. 

You smiled softly knowing that he was telling the truth. Perhaps everything would work here and you wouldn’t have to worry about anything for quite a while.

Ok so Branch and Poppy are paleontologists who along with Branch's brothers get invited to an secret island owned by an scientist who brought back extinct dino-like critters and they were in awe of it but unfortunately a storm arrived and knocked out the power and the others get separated from each other

And Branch unfortunately mistook an Glitter Rex's nest for shelter

But he was able to survive due to the mama rex mistaking him for one of her babies

JD nearly gets attacked by a pack of raptors but was able to pull an Owen Grady on them (reply if you get the reference)

Floyd gets trapped by Utahraptor but is saved by a Triceratops who takes him to its herd and gets accepted by them

And as for Clay, he actually was at the resort there when the power went off

He suspected that something was wrong, and he then decided to go find his brothers, but he encountered a pack of Dilophosaurus who escaped containment

They tried to eat him, but Clay was able to assert his dominance to them by using his rope skills to take them down

And they accept him as the alpha of their pack

Meanwhile, Poppy and Bruce were able to find each other, and they plan on finding the others, not knowing that a dangerous group of mercenaries have arrived to the island to capture some dino-critters for their clients

The mercenaries actually find the two not a moment later and they try shooting them but they escape to the water where they encounter an Spinosaurus which Bruce unknowingly was able to befriend it which made Poppy curious about how these critters were made and what DNA they used

And back with the four brothers, they became the animal whisperers of their respective dino-critters in their effort to survive the island

so during all of that, Bruce, Poppy and the Spinosaurus which Bruce named Spike, try to find the main office where the phone to the main land is located so they can call Poppy’s sister Viva to pick them up

But at the same time, also find Bruce's brothers and investigate the deal with the dino-critters while avoiding the mercenaries

We're never really Done

"Stop trailing me, Grady. I don't want to talk to you!" I shouted slamming my truck door with him following my trail. Owen and I had been dating a couple months before I got a call to become the T-Rex trainer at the new dinosaur theme park. We decided to break up because he thought I deserved to be happy and not worry about him being gone in the Navy. But he was an idiot to think that was a good idea and just my luck two weeks later he started working here the same day I did. "Can we please stop and talk for a second?" He asked throwing his arms out away from his sides but I just scoff pressing a button and the code opening my dinosaur paddock still not talking to him. Owen followed after me still baffled that they had found someone to train the T-Rex. It was almost a death mission in his eyes considering she was the biggest meat eater on the Earth.

Clapping my hands together in front of me I call out into the air while Owen stands closer to the door in fear. He rarely ever went inside a paddock with the raptors unless they were in the metal head brasses. The trees moved where I see her big head peaking through as she lowered it letting my hand press right in between her eyes. "Hey there, Girly. I told you I'd come to see you." I whispered seeing her eyes flickered up in the direction of Owen where I turned my head holding out my other hand for him. "Come here Grady. Don't be a stranger or she might stomp on you." He slowly walked up arms out in the stance he used on the raptors until I take his right hand in mine pressing it against where mine was. "I'm sorry about leaving you the way I did. I just thought you - in case I died Y/n. I didn't want you to-" I cut him off glaring up at him since he's taller than I am where Rexy blows some air from her nose making a warning sound. "I don't want to hear your excuses. They won't do you any good. It didn't help me at all. While we were apart all I thought about was if you were with someone else in the Navy, sleeping with them and saying I love you!"

"Is that honestly what you think of me. How you see me as a one night stand guy and nothing else!" He whipped his head around raising his voice where Rexy made a noise showing some of her back teeth to me. "Owen, I uh wouldn't-" But he cuts me off getting louder where her tail starts swinging back and forth slowly. "No just throw your insults at me, Y/n. I know I've made a bad reputation around the island but all the others were because you wouldn't talk to me. Spare me a glance or time of day and I can't take it!" I slowly try pulling him away from Rexy when her tail moved closer to him where she might knock him to the ground and possibly eat him if I'm not careful. "Owen, keep your voice down please..." He shoves me a little letting some tears slip that finally caused Rexy to swing her giant tail right at him. Without thinking I tackle him to the ground feeling the tip of her tail scrap my back where I screamed out grabbing it as I fall onto his chest. Rexy roared into the sky until I glanced over my shoulder struggling through tears needing her to be calm. "I'm okay, Rexy. Owen won't hurt me...i promise. You're Alpha's fine." Reaching up with my freehand I press my fingers underneath her chin and she never moves her gaze from mine giving me the okay.

Owen was flat on his back with a clear view of the claw mark going down your back. It didn't look too bad but it hurts his heart that he's the cause of it. Whipping my head around slowly my hair falls over my shoulders into his face but I shiver lightly feeling him tuck it behind my ear, green eyes trained on mine perfectly. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I broke up with you. You're the only one for me and that won't change. I love you, Y/n." I grinned down at him resting my hands on either side of him so I'm not putting my whole weight on him. Rexy released a deep breath turning and leaving the scene disappearing off into the paddock. "I love you too. It's just - you promised forever and then walked away. I want you still Owen but only if you're all in for good." I whispered even though we were basically alone now so I sit up and help him up. Once we're standing he dropped on a knee making me gasp when he takes my hands in his. "I'm all in Y/n M/n L/n. This isn't a proposal but a promise to you. I love you, I'll always love and if I'm being honest we were never really done anyway." He smirks until I yanked him up crashing my lips onto his and he immediately responded back with a kiss wrapping his arms around me. "Be real, Grady. You wouldn't know what to do without your T-Rex girlfriend." He grinned shaking his head. "You were already awesome. Training the T-Rex just makes you more badass."

Hybrid Trainer

Moving my index finger on the keyboard I tap play seeing Owen and baby Delta appearance on the laptop screen. Owen thinks it's time we started training Jewel in her raptor form. Since we live off the grid we won't get in trouble with the neighborhood. Foosteps came on the porch seeing Maisie plopped down by me. "Mama!" I pick up our four year old daughter's high pitched coming from inside the house. "I just fed her so she's all set to go." Owen came outside holding her hand and his other was the clicker he used from so long ago.

"Watch this, if I show any sign of weakness-" Owen on the video bend his head down fake crying towards a baby Delta. She tapped her front claw that was the one that fell off and turned into a necklace. Delta launched forward screeching and attaching her claws onto his arm that had a protective cuff on it. "You see that., Y/n?" Maisie leans forward onto my shoulder watching me scroll through more old footage. "Are there any videos of you?" Lifting my head up to Owen he sits Jewel on my lap taking the laptop from me. For a few minutes he searched through the files finally opening one where we are in the yard of his bungalow.

I'm wearing a tank top and some grey shorts with my hair in a ponytail as I'm in a fighting stance towards Owen. "Okay, turn now." He commands as I closed my eyes bending on my knees to come up in my velociraptor form. Owen towered over the mini Dino me until he bend down on a knee slowly reaching forward to pet me. I take some steps back from him snipping my teeth at him. "You're alright girl. It's me, Owen. I'm not going to hurt you." He softly spoke holding his palm open for me paitently waiting. Raptor me sways her tail back and forth bending her legs to an attack mode but doesn't advance. Owen didn't dare flinch and kept his same position seeing my yellow eyes lock on his green ones. I finally walked up putting my head in his palm where he smiled hearing me chirping. "That a girl."

Owen spoke to Jewel after seeing the videos she knew sort of how to turn. Maisie standa by my side before he waved her over handing her the clicker. "So she's going to turn and I want to see if you can get her to keep looking at you." Maisie nodded taking a step backwards when her sister turns quickly reappearing in her raptor form. Jewel bent her legs tilting her head at Maisie slowly starting to walk forward. "Are you sure about this-" I started to whisper but Owen raised a finger to his lips telling me to be quiet. Maisie raised her freehand up trying to sound stern and not slightly concerned. "Jewel eyes up. Eyes on me." Jewel shakes her head snorting clawing the dirt.

I closed my spinning around in my boots transforming into my form slowly bending my head down puring into my daughter's ear. Jewel pressed her head into my mine chirping until I turned back into my human one making Owen confused. "What you'd just say?" Flipping my hair out of my eyes pointing to Maisie. "She doesn't call her Maisie. She calls her Mai." He parts his lips nodded towards his Dino daughter. Maisie raised her hand bending on the ground to be her level calling her towards us. "Jewel it's Mai. Eyes on me!" Jewel lifts her head up chirping to the girl but never broke her gaze with the girl who was her older sister and who'd she possibly also call Alpha someday. Owen wrapped his arms around me from behind resting his chin on my shoulder. "That went better than I expected. I thought she was gonna bite her...like you did me." He kisses my cheek until I spun in his arms scolding him. "I never bite you as a raptor." He raised his brows smirking where I hit him in the chest feeling my cheeks turning red. "Regardless Y/n, she's gonna be a good kid for us." I smiled laying my head on his chest seeing Jewel now returned to normal playing tag with her sister. "I second that Raptor boy." He nuzzled his nose in my neck making me girl. "Mrs. Hybrid Grady."

this is the character i was talking about, who’s probably one of the most fleshed out characters i’ve made in a while. fc: james mcavoy — jurassic park

“I am the monster you should be afraid of.”

this is dr. lyle reed, aka book!lyle. this version of lyle comes primarily/solely from the michael crichton jurassic park novels. he is dark, malicious, and violent in nature, but not for the purpose of fitting into the quite darker themes of the books. universally, lyle is interested in animal anatomy and behaviour sciences, and usually has a doctorate in these fields. he’s worked with wild animals his entire life, that’s why he’s a keen (last minute) choice for hammond’s tour of the park. this variant of lyle is weapons-intelligent, and initially very skeptical of the involvement of jurassic park. during the timeframe of the book, lyle is primarily on his own, going through the dangerous motions of “kill or be killed,” thus learning to murder the leader raptor of the pack in order to establish his own dominance. he is vicious because he has to be, and he finds no thrill in returning to these islands.

“If you’re not afraid of this place, then you shouldn’t be here.”

this version of lyle is, in a word, lovestruck. he is built for the films instead of the novels, which allows him to be more of an average person infatuated with the grand idea of bringing back the world’s most ancient creatures, just like the rest of the group invited to the island. he is good with the kids, allowing for most of the pressure to be off of alan. lyle and ellie are closer in field studies than ian or alan, so they hit it off pretty quickly, and ian finds lyle strange and intriguing, though they butt heads a lot during the first film (spoilers they get together later). lyle is never deterred enough to think going back to the islands and exploring further is ever a bad idea, but he isn’t ignorant in his curiosity. lyle is smart, he knows how animals work, and even if they are ancient and unknown, dinosaurs are still animals. he takes precautions, he isn’t a fan of carnivores, and he is usually right about his facts. he will always take the chance to see these extraordinary creatures one more time.

“I killed the alpha so I became the alpha.”

older au for lyle! lyle and the trio are all in their mid twenties/thirties, and are active at the jurassic world amusement park. lyle watches the velociraptor paddock and realises that the alpha raptor is bullying and starving out the rest of the pack. lyle goes into the paddock and takes care of the bullying alpha, challenging it to take the position of alpha and then shoots the raptor in the head. after a few days, the lab assistants in charge of the raptors report that the pack hasn’t been eating. lyle soon puts together that he has to be present during every feeding to let the raptors know that they can eat. he continues his routine of coming to the enclosure and begins to bond with the raptors as their alpha, but he isn’t really that interested in them. that’s until a spunky new employee named owen grady who begins to follow lyle around like a lost puppy.

“Lyle Harding, and you are…?”

recent au for lyle! lyle is 16 during the events of the 1993 park, and he’s the son of sarah harding. sarah was only 18 when she had lyle, and is almost forty during the events of isla sorna in 1997. lyle and billy brennan are childhood friends, and both follow in careers of palaeontology. lyle is present for all three jurassic park scenarios, and does not get any closer with his mother during the 1997 event. lyle almost loses billy during the 2001 incident involving the kirbys, and becomes rather threatening and distant towards paul, amanda, and erik after the pteranodon encounter at the river.

recent au for lyle!! he’s aged down and now the kid of ellie and alan! i genuinely don’t have too much for him, other than he regularly visits the jurassic world amusement park and works with a velociraptor named red! red is the only raptor in JW that is directly related to the raptors from isla sorna, as well as the only male in the pack. red, along with blue and the others, has been taught to understand sign language, and lyle frequently communicates with red, who’s established lyle in the hierarchy of the pack.

This Is A Wild Game (Of Survival) (Escape Plan Pt. 2)

Third Person POV

Gray and Emma Mitchell had just escaped their older brother, Zach, and were running around exploring. "Look!" Emma pointed towards a beaten path and decided to follow it. Tiptoeing past bushes and other types of plants, they followed the trail and saw a camp of sorts. Emma pulled out a pocket map and hummed. "That's the raptors, according to the map." She folded it and slipped it into her pocket. "Let's get closer." "No, wait!" Gray yanked her back. "Raptors are really smart, Emma. And I don't think we can be here." "Why not?" Emma asked hotly. "They're dinosaurs, they're in a cage, Gray. Come on, quit being a sissy." She strolled forwards, and Gray sighed, catching up. "But wait! I saw a sign on the fence back there." He pointed back the way they'd come, but Emma wasn't listening. "So what, Gray. I wanna see the raptors. And then I promise we can go. Just...don't get us caught." She crept forwards, peering through bars. "Wow, look at them!"

Four raptors, at least six feet tall, were prowling the cage, hissing and growling at one another. "that one's blue." Gray pointed to the obvious Alpha female, a gorgeous raptor with blue streaks on each of her sides. "Wow...she's beautiful." "And dangerous." A voice spoke, and the kids turned, staring, at a man. He had short brown hair, green-blue eyes, and was dressed in a brown leather vest, a blue, long-sleeved shirt (though the sleeves were currently rolled up), and brown pants and boots coated in dust. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" He asked, stern but not mean. Gray gulped, "W-we're just looking at the raptors, we're sorry." Instead of answering, he stood next to them, watching the raptors. "They're smart, you're right about that. They'd tear you to pieces before you saw them coming. Listen, I want you to stay away from here, okay? If something goes wrong, you can't be here to see it, got that?" "What could go wrong? Aren't the fences meant to keep them in?" "Yeah, but like many animals--monkeys, elephants, the like--Raptors can open doors." The silence after those words was heavy. "Wow." Gray muttered, eyes wide. "What's your name?" Emma asked boldly, and the man smirked. "Owen Grady." "I'm Emma, this is Gray. Zach's our older brother." Owen frowned, a strange glint in his eyes. "I think I know you. Your aunt's looking for--"

Suddenly, there was a shout. "Code 19, Code 19!" People began to run along the catwalk, yelling incomprehensible codes and numbers. "What's happening?" Emma asked, moving closer to Gray, who whispered back, "I don't know." "Inside, now!" Owen shouted, pushing them to a little shack. "Stay in here for right now, okay? 'll be right back!" He shut the door and they heard him running off. "I'm scared," Emma whispered.

MEANWHILE...

"What do you mean you lost them, Zach?!" His aunt shouted down the line. "They ran off on me, so don't snap, okay?! I wasn't looking, I was on the phone with my Mom!" He shouted, earning a few looks from the others inside the Innovation Center. It was awfully echo-like in here....

Lowering his voice, he said, "Look, I can find them, I do know where they went." He shut his eyes tight, hoping his aunt believed his lie. "God, Zach, please bring them back," His aunt moaned, and before she hung up, he heard her say, "Karen's gonna kill me." Mom's going to be mad for sure, but she doesn't have to know, Zach told himself, starting a search. He asked several ride employees about his siblings, but most of them had 20,000 people to deal with and didn't remember just two kids. Which was, admittedly, fair, but it wasn't making things any easier.

Groaning, he moved on, arriving at the Gyrospheres. The employee, a kid not much older than Zach, with shaggy brown hair and, to be frank, a rather dumb look, was the winner. "Oh, yeah. they're about this tall?" He held his hands out, at different heights, which resembled Emma and Gray's exactly. When Zach asked where they went, the \boy shrugged, jerking his thumb to the hamster balls behind him. "One of these. Just jump in this one, okay?" He stopped a ball, ad Zach got in, and away he zoomed.

GRAY AND EMMA...

"Triceratops." Emma pointed, marking it down in her little notebook. She was keeping track of all the kinds of animals the park had. So far, she had a Triceratops herd, Stegosaurus herds, Apatosaurus herds, a T. Rex, the Velociraptor pack, a huge number of Procompsognathus (commonly just called Compies), a Dilophosaurus pack (just three of them), a Pterosaurs flock, and a Parasaurolophus (duck-billed) herd.

"Do you think there's some we haven't found?" Emma asked as gray steered them on. "Not sure. Look, another Pterosaur." The huge mammal swooped overhead, towards the water, and they watched it catch a huge fish. "Cool!" Emma crowed, jotting down the wing structure, the speed, the aerodynamics, the angles, and the way it caught the fish. "I'm gonna be the best paleontologist ever!" She yelled, her voice echoing around the ball.

"Hey, watch the volume," Gray teased, and she laughed. "Hey, go there." She suddenly pointed to a broken gate, and Gray hesitated. "It says Restricted, though."

And, true to his word, the broken gate had a black, red, and white sign that read RESTRICTED: NO ACCESS ALLOWED. ONLY AUTHROIZED EMPLOYEES!!

"It's alright, go." She gently tapped the steering stick forwards, and they sailed through the gate.

ZACH POV

This was insane.

I was no closer to catching my siblings, and apparently, from the frantic phone call Claire had tried to give me, there was a new dinosaur on the loose, a very, very dangerous one, and God, where the hell were they?!

I saw a broken gate and thought, what the hell. Appearing on the other side, I gasped, jerking the buckles off. The Gyrosphere, the only one there, had been knocked over so hard that little sparks were coming from the bottom, meaning it had no power. I raced forwards, seeing a giant, jagged tooth in the plastic. A dinosaur tooth.

No. Oh, no. I felt my knees crumple. Were they eaten, or did they escape? Screaming caught my attention. "Go away!" I heard Emma scream, and another shout. "He bit me!" Gray yelled, and I raced towards their voices, following it around a curve in the road. Dead ahead, two velociraptors were jumping, trying to get the kids. they were 25 feet up in a tree, screaming, kicking at the raptors to keep them away or possibly hurt them. "Astop it!" Gray wailed, kicking at another one. I had to do something!

"HEY!" I shouted, and the Raptors whirled, focused entirely on me. Okay...bad idea.

"Come on, come on!" I shouted, picking up a slightly-heavy rock and throwing it full-force at a raptor. It hit her in the shoulder and she shrieked, angry now, but she was hurt. "Stop it, stop it!" Emma screamed, and for some reason, the raptors froze, like they were robots attuned to sound and commands. They turned, looking at my sister. She had hopped off the tree and was flaring at the animals. "Leave my family alone!" She shouted. One of the raptors, a really pretty female with blue streaks, jerked her head like a wince, and the raptors turned and ran, gone in seconds. "Are you guys okay--are you nuts, even?!" I shouted, grabbing Emma and Gray's arms. "Ow, watch it!" Emma shouted and I turned, fast enough to drop gray's arm and clutch her shoulders . "no, you watch it. You're lucky you're not dead, Emma Jean." I snapped, and she gulped. I only used her middle name when she was absolutely fucked. "I had to call Aunt Claire to see if she'd seen you, and of course that got her asking, and I told her you ran off! If you two ever disappear again, I will not look for you again!" My voice echoed, and a flock of small birds whistled and took flight at the volume. The kids stared at me, and I sasw hurt in their eyes. I sighed, groaning into my hands. "I'm sorry. I was just scared, okay? I'm not mad." I pulled them to me, hugging them tightly. "I love you guys. I do. But you scared the shit out of me." "Sorry, Zach. But we wanted to explore. And..." She hesitated. "I told the raptors to leave, so we won't be eaten, at least." "Why do you think they listened to you?" Gray asked as we started walking back to the park. "I dunno. I told them to leave, and they looked at me, said okay, and left." "Wait, wait, wait, they said okay?" I asked, frowning.

Emma looked up at me. "Yeah, they agreed to stay away and left." Me and Gray shared a glance. "Okay." (Turns out, according to Dr. Wu, yeah, she could talk to Raptors. Great).

Raptor Encounter: Now Open!

In honor of National Velociraptor Awareness Day, guests can now see for themselves the most notorious dinosaurs ever cloned by InGen. Our Velociraptors are without question the most intelligent prehistoric species yet encountered, and their nigh-preternatural skills at problem-solving and overall intelligence are now on full display at the new Raptor Encounter attraction.

Our Velociraptors--Charlie, Echo, Delta and Blue--have been trained since birth to obey over forty commands. Our lead dinosaur behaviorist, Owen Grady, suspects they are capable of understanding much more.

"The key to leading the raptors has been establishing a relationship of mutual respect," says Grady. "The pack sees me as alpha, chiefly because Blue regards herself as the beta and defers to me. It's a bit touch-and-go sometimes but we get along. Mostly."

And this relationship of mutual respect is on full display at Raptor Encounter. Following a pre-show recounting Grady's early work with the adorable baby raptors, the squad themselves strut their stuff through a series of intelligence tests and enrichment activities. Obstacles are overcome, mazes are navigated, doors are opened, and prey is chased, squealing, at the conclusion (please note that this attraction may be too intense for younger visitors).

Biography

Blue was created by InGen for the IBRIS Project sometime before 2015 and was the first Velociraptor to be created for the latest pack. She was created with the DNA of the Black-throated monitor lizard, which gave her allowed her scales to reflect an irredentist blue color, giving her the distinctive pattern that she was named after. Out of all the raptors that were to be created following her birth, she was the largest. When she was born, Owen Grady imprinted on her, which allowed him to train her. During her youth, she and Echo engaged in a fight for dominance over the park's Velociraptor pack, of which Blue was the victor.

Blue is more intelligent and cunning than the other raptors made for Jurassic World. These traits most likely helped her become the leader of the pack. Despite these attributes, Blue has a tendency to be aggressive and usually attacks without thinking. An example of her temperament was shown when she nearly attacked Leon, who fell into her paddock. These traits were reminiscent of a previous alpha raptor, The Big One. Unlike the Big One, however, Blue was capable of showing affection and loyalty. When Charlie was killed by an InGen soldier, Blue viciously attacked all humans she could find in retaliation, and when Owen removed her headset, she made affectionate noises towards him and defended him from the Indominus rex, even though the fight nearly killed her.

Just before the incident occurred, Blue, Echo, Delta and Charlie attempted to strike Leon, a newly hired Jurassic World employee who had fallen into her pack's paddock while trying to capture a pig that had escaped its holding pen, but were thwarted by their trainer in time to save Leon's life.

Blue and her pack later assisted their trainer during the rampage of the genetic hybrid Indominus rex when Vic Hoskins, Jurassic World's head of security, forced Owen to use them to hunt the Indominus. Unfortunately, during the hunt she and her pack mates began to communicate with the hybrid due to its raptor DNA. After Indominus took Owen's place as the alpha, Blue and her pack mates turned against the humans. Her pack attacked many of the humans that had followed them, including Barry, who took refuge in a hollow log just before Blue lunged at him and began to viciously attack him through the log. Conflicted about whether he should shoot her or not, Barry yelled her name, causing her to stop and look inside. At this point, Owen intervened and whistled to get Blue's attention, stopping her from possibly resuming her attack on Barry.

Blue and the rest of her pack later caught up with Owen, Claire, and the Mitchell brothers on Main Street. Shortly after being cornered, Owen regained Blue's and the other raptor's respect and his role as pack leader. Then Indominus rex arrived, and ordered the raptors to attack the humans. Blue, however, retaliated and rebelled against Indominus, and the hybrid responded by swatting Blue into the wall, seemingly killing her. Delta and Echo then attacked Indominus out of vengeance. Unfortunately, they were soon overpowered by the hybrid and killed. Shortly after their deaths, Rexy, Jurassic World's resident Tyrannosaurus rex joined the fight.

Later, Blue regained consciousness and rejoined the fight, lunging at the hybrid and allowing Rexy to get back on her feet after she was pushed to the ground by the Indominus rex. Blue continued to assist Rexy in her fight against the hybrid until the Mosasaurus dragged Indominus into the bottom of the lagoon. After the fight, Rexy decides to spare Blue, as gratitude for saving her life, despite her unpleasant encounter with Raptors in the past. Blue then turned towards Owen, chirping at him momentarily before disappearing into the night, calling out for her pack mates.

It is revealed that Blue is still alive, but she and many other creatures will now face an impending danger, in the form of an erupting volcano. She is also revealed to be the last of her species by Eli Mills. Claire explains that Blue can pick the scent of a human a mile away making her difficult to catch.

After his encounter with Claire, it shows Owen Grady watching a training video of him, and her pack as infants on a computer.

During the rescue mission, Blue reunites with Owen at her nesting ground, which is next to the damaged Explorer 04. Owen attempts to rekindle his bond with her, as it is evident that Blue is wary and defensive at first, before she begins to recognize him and attempts to touch his palm with her nose before Ken Wheatley and his team of mercenaries attempt to capture the dinosaur via tranquilizing her. Blue, infuriated by this, ends up attacking the nearest mercenary, only to have him fire his sidearm at her before he dies, mortally wounding Blue, and incapacitating her. After Blue is subdued, she's loaded into a cage, and taken to the East Dock where all the dinosaurs are being taken to be transported off of the island and to the mainland to be sold at the Lockwood Manor.

Inside the ship, it is revealed that Zia Rodriguez, after explaining to Wheatley that she is the only one that can keep Blue alive after she is wounded, is desperately trying to slow the bleeding of Blue's wound until they reach the mainland so she can treat her injuries with the proper equipment. Owen, Claire and Franklin reunite with them and witness the horrible condition Blue is in, as she is hemorrhaging, and in immense pain. Owen attempts to comfort Blue, as Zia explains she is unable to remove the bullet without a transfusion from another of the carnivorous dinosaurs on board with two or three fingers. Zia and Franklin end up staying behind with Blue, as Owen and Claire venture out to use blood from the sleeping T. rex to use for Blue's transfusion.

Once they return, Zia gives the blood to Blue, via an IV, while Claire puts pressure on her wound. Zia uses a surgical knife to create an incision in her leg in order to reach the bullet with a pair of tweezers. She successfully removes the bullet, and ends up saving her life.

Meanwhile, at the lower level of the Lockwood Manor, Maisie Lockwood ends up sneaking inside Henry Wu's lab, and ends up watching training videos of Owen with Delta and Blue.

When the captive dinosaurs are brought to the mainland, Blue is taken to Wu's lab, and is locked inside a cage, as she is not to be auctioned off like the other dinosaurs. Zia is also taken to Wu's lab, and is handcuffed to the bars after refusing to cooperate after she told Wheatley to "take his own damn [blood samples]" when he asked for samples of Blue's blood when the boat arrived at the dock.

After the Indoraptor's escape, Henry Wu has Franklin, who is disguised as a geneticist, to get equipment for him to take blood samples from Blue, who is angrily pacing in her cage, which would help him create a new line of Indoraptors who would inherit her traits, and recognize her as leader. As Wu gets increasingly frustrated with Zia for not helping, she breaks the news to him that Blue's pure genome had been contaminated with the DNA from the T. rex from the blood transfusion, which further infuriates him. Before he can do anything about it, Franklin ends up subduing him by stabbing him in the neck with a tranquilizer, which was actually meant for Blue in order to prevent her from attacking while her blood was drawn. As Zia is uncuffed by Franklin, she attempts to escape and find Owen and Claire. Unfortunately, her plan backfires when two guards rush into the room to prevent them from escaping. Zia, with no other option, ends up freeing Blue, who then attacks the guards, providing enough time for the two DPG members to escape. When a tank of flammable gas is struck by a stray bullet, Blue bolts out of the lab, just as it explodes behind her, causing a tank of hydrogen cyanide to leak gas into the entire downstairs.

Blue ends up reaching the upper levels of the manor, and confronts the Indoraptor, just as he prepares to attack Owen in Maisie Lockwood's bedroom. She and the hybrid are locked into a brutal battle, with Blue being thrown around by the stronger dinosaur, as her teeth and claws barely phase the bloodthirsty dinosaur from surrendering.

The Indoraptor shoves Blue out the window, and after falling down on the roof, continues to pursue Owen and Maisie until he corners them atop a skylight. After barely surviving a fall through the broken glass of the skylight, the Indoraptor is ambushed from behind by Blue, who had survived her own fall out the window, except in a different direction. When she pounces on him, both dinosaurs fall through the skylight, with the Indoraptor being impaled by the sharp horns of the Agujaceratops skull in the center of Benjamin Lockwood's fossil room, and Blue surviving the fall. She stands atop the hybrid's body, giving a loud cry of victory, before jumping off and running outside the manor.

After Maisie releases the dinosaurs from the hydrogen cyanide leak within the manor's basement, Blue approaches Owen, visibly injured from the fight between her and the Indoraptor. He strokes her muzzle, and tells her he can take her to a sanctuary where no one would find her, and where she would be protected. Blue, however, makes gentle clicking noises before running towards freedom, pausing only once to look back at her trainer, preferring to be free like the other dinosaurs, opposed to being locked in a cage again.

Afterwards Blue is seen over-looking a suburban California neighborhood, while calling out four times into the early morning, signifying that dinosaurs and humans must now coexist with each other.
