"Danger Zone" Now Playing at Pterosauria Cinema
Finally, the brave operatives of the Asset Containment Unit and the Jurassic World Security Division are getting their time in the spotlight! For a limited time, the Pterosauria IMAX Cinema will be showing Danger Zone, an exclusive documentary film that takes a closer look at the work that goes into protecting the park from the dinosaurs...and vice versa!
"What we wanted to do was dispel some of the secrecy and slander around the ACU and security personnel," says Division head George Lambert. "We know we come across as kinda hard against the dinosaurs and, frankly, we want to, just in case some guests get any funny ideas. But it's all for the good of the park, both the humans and the dinosaurs, and we take as much care to protect them as we do to protect guests."
The documentary details some of the drills and procedures conducted by personnel to prevent or mitigate disasters. This even includes conducting mock containment anomalies in specialized enclosure courses on Isla Sorna. Guests will observe how the ACU responds to an Edmontosaurus that is allowed to break free of its habitat.
"Every dinosaur responds to captivity in a different way," says Lambert. "Learning how they might break it and why can help us better understand what they need to be comfortable."
In addition to security drills, the documentary will also offer a sneak peek at some ongoing genetic research that may soon be unveiled to further improve security on the island. Check your Jurassic World App for showtimes and book your tickets today!

Ceratosaurus is Unimpressed by Internet Stardom
It just goes to show that you can never tell who's gonna make it in show business, even if they don't seem to care.
Pictures of Kirby, our Ceratosaurus in Carnivore Country, are continuing to prove a small but steady contender for popularity on all Jurassic World social media channels. Of particular interest are pictures showing her trademark over-the-horn glare, uncannily similar to the sort of scowl one might receive from a worldly trendsetter that just saw you do something embarrassing. In videos, these are typically followed by an equally unmistakable huff before Kirby decides you've wasted enough of her time and stalks away, presumably for something better to do.
"It's always wild to see guests perceive the dinosaurs in an unexpected way," says Isaac Clement, head of Entertainment. "Me, I've loved the Ceratosaurus ever since they brought me on board. Soon as we shipped Kirby in from Sorna, I said to myself, this dino's got it."
And it's hard to argue with Isaac on that front. From where I'm sitting phrases like Ceratosaurus Can't Believe You Just Said That and Kirby Wouldn't Be Caught Dead In Those Clothes continue to rise, with accompanying photos and videos from guests taking package tours of our high-security carnivore area. We only hope Rexy and Indy won't be jealous!

An Old Friend and a New Tour Biome
Now that spring is well on its way and the Gyrosphere Winter Biome continues to delight, it seems only right to announce the opening of our new specialized habitat: the Desert Biome!
Accessible via the River Adventure, this sandy oasis is supported by Mantah Corp Holographic technology to recreate an environment comparable to Cretaceous-era Egypt, complete with tidal flats and marshes along the sandy shores!
But what of the dinosaurs, we hear you ask? Well, we can now reveal that a beloved old friend, long awaited by diehard Jurassicateers, is now on display: Spinosaurus!
"We checked and double-checked, then triple-checked, every box on the paper before we cleared this guy coming to the park," says George Lambert, head of Security. "After what we saw his predecessor get up to all those years ago, we wanted to make sure this one didn't have any tricks up his scales."
Indeed, the new Spinosaurus (nicknamed Suki) seems to be doing well in her new home, lounging along the river and snapping for fish with lazy grace! While security measures ensure she can't get anywhere close to the boats, it's easy to forget when guests see her take a dip underneath with an almighty splash!
But she won't be alone for long.
What do we mean by that? Wait and see, Jurassicateers. Wait and see!

Bakhita Receives Bedside Manner on Ranger Ridealong
The matriarch of Nublar trikes, Bakhita, was comforted greatly by the lucky guests who got to participate in our new Ranger Ridealong program. Available to only select travel packages, the Ridealong allows guests to join park rangers on select field missions involving dinosaurs.
This particular Ridealong featured a trip to Triceratops Territory, to provide the mono-horned Bakhita with a much-needed supplement for a stubborn hookworm parasite.
"Bakhita's an old hand at this type of thing," says Zia Rodriguez, our head paleovet. "Not like some of the younger bucks, who need the needle at a distance. The key for the older ones is to get close and cozy, and provide lots of support."
And by all accounts, the accompanying guests were happy to oblige! Selfies abound on all Jurassic World social media outlets of our Ridealong group standing by to keep Bakhita calm and loved, with many scratches under the chin and on the hindquarters.

The Safari Lodge: Now Open!
We are pleased to announce that Safari Lodge, our new bungalow-style hotel, is now, finally open!
These beautiful villas of straw-roofs buildings and elevated treehouse platforms were conceived by John Hammon himself for Jurassic Park, and it has long been our hope to recover yet more of his vision for Jurassic World. Not only does the Lodge allow guests to enjoy jungle life in comfortable accommodations, the lodge also features an adjoined rainforest garden; rock-walled swimming pool and Jacuzzi; a Traders Outlet gift shop; and our new Bird Mimic eatery, which includes an extensive vegan buffet and salad bar!
But what could possibly make this better, we wonder? Oh, of course: dinosaurs! Specifically, a flock of Struthiomimus, an ostrich-like species related to Gallimimus and Archaeornithomimus. These lovely ladies can be seen directly from the balcony of the Safari Lodge, living peacefully in their garden-style habitat. Be sure to ask your concierge about guided walking tours into the enclosure!
Book your bungalow at the Safari Lodge today!

Do you have any plans to add a concavinator or have one? It's my favorite dinosaur and if you have one I would love to hear about it!
I can confirm that Concavenator is on the list of potential species, yes! Gonna be a bit, unfortunately, but we're considering posting more about upcoming and/or newly released species on the blog. We'll let you know how things develop!

Our Top Five Favorite Guest Videos
What do we love more than dinosaurs? Sharing them with our guests! Here's a rundown of some of our favorite videos taken by guests who got up close and personal with Jurassic World wildlife:
5. Rexy Takes It in Stride: A guest participating in an assisted feeding in Tyrannosaurus Rex Kingdom decides to try out Owen's signature trick for calming a dinosaur and holds out their hand with a flourish while shouting "You Shall Not Pass"! Obviously they're on the other side of the bars and so completely safe, but Rexy apparently takes a moment to regard them anyway, before huffing in a decidedly unimpressed manner and wandering off with her meal.
4: Hello In There: A rare moment of curiosity leads one Pteranodon to peer into the viewing dome inside the Aviary. The uncanny way she brings her eye close to the glass, as though angling for a better look at her admirers, inspires many of us to wonder if we're as good a show to the dinosaurs as they are to us!
3. Rise and Shine: Our Nasutoceratops family once again takes an interest as a hatchling peaks through the tent of a group on the Sleeping With the Dinosaurs experience one morning. The little darling's excitable honk elicits several happy aws and coos!
2. Compy Caper: A guest gets a little too close to the residents of Compy Cove and can only watch as his phone is snatched from his hand! The handler soon retrieves it, but not before several adorable seconds of squawking curious Compy snouts! Remember: NO VALUABLES OR JEWELRY OF ANY KIND SHOULD COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE DINOSAURS.
1. Firecracker Makes a Friend: This adorable compilation video features Firecracker, a baby Brachiosaurus currently housed in the Gentle Giants Petting Zoo, as she submits to an adorable hug from a young guest, resting her head on her shoulder and closing her eyes in Saurian heaven as her new friend strokes her head. It's a tender moment sure to bring a tear to the eye of even the most coldblooded reptile!

I've heard of other zoos doing fundraisers around Valentine's Day that let you name of cockroach after an ex that you can watch get fed to a skunk, or even a mouse to larger predators. Is there any chance Jurassic World would do something similar? I'd pay good money to name a goat Andrew and watch the T. Rex go to town on it.
The Entertainment division has actually floated this idea a couple of times. I'm told that the investors are a little nervous about approving any move that might conceivably bring the JP incident to mind, and feeding something with a name to a dinosaur is apparently too close a move for comfort.

How’s Owen doing? Any updates in his work with the raptors?
All is well in the Grady-Dearing household! I finally have permission to confirm that he and Claire are the proud adoptive parents of a bright young lady name of Maisie, who's passion for dinosaurs may soon eclipse her parents'!
As for work, Owen and the Raptor Squad are making steady pace. Guests have been a little put out as showtimes for the Raptor Encounter show have been halved this year so far due to a very special project requiring their attention, but I think you'll all be pleasantly surprised a few weeks from now!

OOC: There’s a new species of Tyrannosaurus and I MUST TELL ALL OF MY MUTUALS
Thanks for reminding us! We'll be honest; we've got a lot of paleontology contacts but even we lose track sometimes! It's an exciting age for fossil hunting indeed!

im going to your island for my summer vacation and my big brother says the water dinos like the mosasaurus nap in the hotel pool and theyll eat me. is that true??? i can't swim faster than a dinosaur
Your brother is having fun with you. No, there's absolutely NO aquatic reptiles in the resort pool. You can see the lagoon from the central beach, but the area is VERY heavily secured and divided from the guest areas. Neither Muse the Mosasaurus nor the Nothosaurus sisters are getting anywhere near the pool, so swim to your heart's content!

Ouranosaurs Temporarily Adopt Cretaceous Campers
A short custody dispute occurred on the Camp Cretaceous kayak river as a local herd of Ouranosaurs descended on a group of campers.
The Cretaceous Camp section of the river detours into several exclusive sections of the park, taking in feeding and supply docks as well as other staff-only areas. This particular portion brought the camps alongside the park's herd of Ouranosaurs, which, though peaceful, are known to be stubborn and hard to shift when they're resting.
"These guys have a habit of loitering around the staff roads," says dockworker Serena Hernandez. "They're very curious and affectionate, and they've been learning to stay in the river to watch us while we're working. Of course we completely forgot about the campers."
A group of kayakers turned a bend in the river and found themselves in the middle of the Ouranosaurus herd. The inquisitive duckbills moved gently amongst the boats, leaning down for pats and nuzzles as though the campers were their own hatchlings.
A ranger team was soon dispatched, and were able to encourage the Ouranosaurs to move on with careful herding procedures. All in all, yet another fun closeup encounter that only our Cretaceous Campers can experience!

Can we give ice cream, chocolate and whatnot to baby dinosaurs at the petting zoo? Please?
We've been over this, Slices. This is precisely why you're banned from the petting zoo. Don't make us extend it to the whole park.
