Pokemon Trainer Yuu Profile
i can’t art. i used to use dreamselfy and selfy sukimakaze to make ocs but with flash being dead for forever now, i cant do that anymore x’D this is a written profile for yuu. i might change up the club she gets put in, but we’ll see
Yuu
Main Team: Empoleon, Staraptor, Kirlia, Lampent, Sylveon, Alolan Vulpix
Grade/Class: Freshman/1-A
Birthday: July 7
Age: 16
Height: 147cm
Dominant Hand: Left
Homeland: Hearthome City (Sinnoh)
Club: Science Club (due to the fact that there’s no Cooking Club)
Best Subject: Potionology
Hobbies: Cooking, baking, reading, swimming, video games
Pet Peeves: When people don’t put books back in the shelves
Favorite Food: Curry
Least Favorite Food: Broccoli
Talent: Crocheting
A Pokemon Trainer from Hearthome City. A kind, caring girl who can be somewhat timid and shy. She has a big love for Pokemon and admires her brothers’ battle skills. Yuu decided to do some traveling first before deciding on what she wanted to do. Before she was sent to Twisted Wonderland, she was leaning on doing Gym Challenges like her brothers as she enjoys battling. Her sincere kindness (unlike a certain headmaster’s kindness) and honesty is a rarity in Night Raven College, which earns her surprise from students and relief from the staff. Yuu is particularly knowledgeable on the legends of the Sinnoh and Johto regions, the former being her home region and the latter being her mother’s home region.

-- Sinnoh Arc II: Journeying (V)
Tumblr media
Up bright and early the next morning, Leon let Cavall lead as they left Hearthome and headed towards the next destination; Solaceon Town. Nearly stopped by someone offering eggs, Leon had to remember that it supposedly was the breeding capital of Sinnoh. There were several ranches in the area amidst some ancient ruins which, as they traveled, taking on a few trainers here and there, found Leon in the midst of it by afternoon. It felt very much as out in the countryside as his hometown of Postwick and Mistralton where Ashe resided... ‘backwater’, as a lack of a better word.
That being said, Leon wasn’t one to sit still as he took to heading for the ruins which gave off a mysterious vibe. Said ruins were said to be home to the Unown and or relics of the Celestic People... but one could never know. Leading Cavall for scent guidance, that left Gawain to light the way. While he swore he had been turned around once or twice and there was a trick of the light making him see something flicker out of the corner of his eye... he found himself having his curiosity satiated enough with pictures later for Ashe, Hop, and for reference later.
Heading back to the Pokemon Center as night fell, after his pokemon had been fed, it was time to spar. It was then he noted Lancelot pick up a new move; Play Rough. It wasn’t something Luxio learned young, but seeing it used against Cavall in the feline’s frustration, Leon knowing they were up against Veilstone’s fighting-type gym next... well, he might as well use this to his advantage. Having the two spar as well as his other pokemon, they seemed to be growing steadily even though the journey had been short so far.
The time was now to amp up the pace.

OUT OF CHARACTER POST
I should probably establish some lore before I get too far into this?
Espurr is she/they
Her human (also referred to as trainer) is they/he. They live in Hearthome and are often busy, but have Espurr more as a pet than anything else, along with an Alolan Vulpix to keep her company. This Vulpix is he/him, and I might make a separate blog for him someday, but in the meantime he'll speak on this blog if he's present.
The pair's trainer may not have named them, but still love their fluffy little companions and like to spoil them.

Note
In sword and shield you can use an ice stone or a leaf stone to get glaceon and leafeon respectively. So I’m assuming you can get those stone in the underground after the second gym. So unless you can’t get the ice stone in the game (since the only other Pokémon that use it are alolan vulpix and sandshrew and I doubt they will be in the game for obvious reasons) you should be able to get it super easy IF Bebe still will give you the Eevee in hearthome. And this has been your Pokémon lesson from the one and only.
EXCITING then i hope we can, thank u

The Thesis of Pokemon Games : Why The Galar Region and SWSH Games Offers a Complete Reworking of the Series’ Central Thesis
Pokémon as a plot-driven series can, first and foremost, be characterized by its insistence on the dual concepts of nostalgia and locality : particularly when combined as ‘local nostalgia.’
I’m not really going to go into my whole argument of how this is pulled off by the game developers and which aspects best contribute and remind us of ‘local nostalgia’ because most of us already know. All it takes is one listen of the ost for Twinleaf Town or Aspertia Town for players to become intensely nostalgic for older games. The running theme of the player’s mother, in my opinion, is one of the major keys to achieving this, as well.
So, the theses of pokémon games (or at least a good number of them!!) deal with the player’s local sphere and the expansion of it. It’s a game about going off to college or just simply moving away from home. It doesn’t have to be the player’s lifelong home, necessarily. Shadows of Almia, the Hoenn games, and the Alola games are the best examples I can think of where expanding your local sphere does not necessarily mean that the player’s never been outside of the in-game residence before. But despite being from another region, Chicole Village is undoubtedly the player’s home in Shadows of Almia. Partner Farm is the bedrock to which the player returns, repeatedly, to meet old friends and family before embarking off again to an adventure even further away. In the Alola games, the player has recently moved from Kanto, yet it’s clear through gameplay and character interactions that the player considers Hau’oli Outskirts to be their home. The player’s mother, equally key to constructing a hometown as the score partnered with it, is another symbol of nostalgia. The game’s storytelling, in most if not every game, is designed so that the player only knows their mother as a kind, warm, supportive, and ever welcoming presence : home is where the heart lies or “east or west, home is best.” So, in embarking from these cozy, nostalgic areas with the warm wishes of your mother, the innocent aspiration of moving out is well-portrayed in the series.
Here is where ‘backyard theory,’ as I like to call it, begins. The player (save for the Galar player, who routinely has the secret of meeting characters and locations spoiled by Hop) has very little, if any, knowledge of the region that surrounds their cozy hometown. The player must gain their first pokémon and travel down unfamiliar routes catching more and more unfamiliar pokémon. There is guidance to the story, of course. Roadblocks are constructed to prevent entering “too-difficult” levels, and a combination of the professor, rivals, and enemies provide incremental story, but there’s room to explore. Some games leave enough room that players get lost their first run-through (@ the Sinnoh and Johto games). Each town is new, and the player is welcome to aimlessly explore these areas : speak with the locals, peek into apartment buildings and chat with the occupants, accept items from kind npcs who reinvigorate the optimistic worldview of the series, etc. In time, the player expects theme songs to play at certain areas, expects the sounds that the pokémon make, and expects dialogue. Previously unfamiliar buildings become “oh that’s Guzma’s dad’s house” or “that’s where the boy who plays Unwavering Emotions lives.” And while this is a mechanic of most games (after all, exploration is a fundamental aspect to rpg), the pokémon games take it further.
Certain symbols become emblematic. The Pokecenter, in particular, becomes a bedrock of nostalgia. It certainly helps that the theme is only altered, never rewritten, between every iteration of the series. Soon, the player’s backyard and local sphere is no longer confined to their hometown but encompasses the entire region. Every player has a ‘first time’ entering Undella Town, but the music becomes hauntingly nostalgic once players have become familiar with it. There’s a reason why, despite only being a route theme, DPPT’s Route 209 got a remix in the latest Smash rather than, say, Sycamore’s Theme.
So, once the climax occurs (be it capturing Giratina or saving N from the actions of his abusive father or helping Lusamine’s loved ones save her from her own derangement), it’s not the Champion-to-Be but instead the local girl from Twinleaf Town with the Eterna Roserade and the Snowbelle Snover and is friends with the swimmer kids down by the resort. The varying plots of the various pokémon games aside, the climax of the series is when the local sphere become the entire region. And it’s at this point that you’ve earned being the Champion, regardless of your team’s coverage and levels.
Alola, in a sense, did one of the best jobs in capitalizing on this universal thesis in making the Champion theme, the player’s theme, an extraordinary remix of the entire game’s theme, but that’s another meal altogether.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield turn all of this on its head. There are so many npcs that the player cannot speak to, and, in most of the larger cities, there are more npcs that the player cannot interact with than there are npcs the player can interact with. Motostoke struck me significantly in the beginning of the game because I ran around the city wondering why there were so many public areas, like shops and boutiques and plot-related venues, that I could explore but only three or four private residences that I could enter. Most npcs are found in passing along the street. As they pass the player, a small speech bubble pops over their head as if they’re mumbling to themself or merely speaking to the player in passing. Fundamentally, the player cannot interact with the locals. Most places that the player does explore is also heavily driven by the plot with either Leon or Hop telling the player to go to them in order to advance the… ‘story.’
The ‘story’ is going gym to gym with repeated encouragement or roadblock without being allowed to consider the weight of heavier concerns : i.e. the chairman killing the entire region through a weirdly futuristic pokémon that supposedly is thousands of years old. Everyone the player can speak with in the towns already knows the player, since the ‘Gym Challenge’ is broadcasted on regional telly for private enjoyment (another mesh of public and private spheres that simply feels jarring for such a private-based series). Many npcs will tell the player “I’m routing for you, you know!” or “You’re my favorite Gym Challenger!” without giving any information about themself. The player no longer expands their local spheres ; they simply allow locals to get to know the regional superstar.
The climax of the game is the player saving Leon after he has already significantly weakened the legendary pokémon on the player’s behalf so that the player may succeed in finishing Eternatus off and capturing it like any other Dynamax pokémon. Thus, the three who ultimately save the region from being sucked of its life by the Darkest Day are the three superstars who have had their entire careers broadcasted regionally on television.
The player’s mom never calls or shows up throughout the game once the player leaves their hometown, and she’s never given a personality. She’s cute, alright. milf rights. But one of the wonders to many other pokémon games is the knowledge that your mother had something similar once. I’ve been referencing the Sinnoh, Unova, and Alola games a lot, but I truly think these games understood ‘local nostalgia’ the best of the main series games. In the Sinnoh games, the player’s mother shows up in Hearthome and speaks of old days in the Contest Hall. In Unova, the player’s mom seems well-acquainted with cleaning up the mess left after pokémon battles. In Kalos, once of the more shallow games in the series for local nostalgia, the player’s mom was a famous Rhyhorn racer with a story of her own. In Alola, the player’s mom’s Meowth and her friendship with Kukui paint her character vibrantly ; it also certainly helps that one of the end cutscenes to the game is the reiteration of the first cutscene with her on the deck relishing the Alolan sea breeze. In Galar, however, there is none of that characterization. Her own pokémon, a Kanto Munchlax, says nothing of her character ; why not give her something that lets the player understand that she is a Galarian village mom? Give her a Skwovel or a cute Chewtle to characterize her. She never encourages the player to come home for a nap if the player ever gets tired. And, so, despite the hometown theme being really lovely and charming (and the Budews in the front yard being a heartwrench), the idea of nostalgia is almost nonexistent in the game.
My personal take on the nostalgia of Postwick is not within the game itself. It’s more the idea of Postwick, for me. The hype of the game and the humor behind the starter release and the lovely lofi remixes that came out for the trailer themes before the Debates began is what is nostalgic for me. Driving through the desert around the town I live in with the windows down in the one-hundred-degree heat listening to SWSH lofi remixes is what makes me nostalgic for Postwick : not the narrative of the game.
And, while that’s a personal experience, all of the other above reasons are why Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield simply feel hollow. There was a sacrifice of local nostalgia for the sake of how ‘cool’ superstars can be.

OOC: Hi I'm new here and I was wondering where the other pokemon storage system administrators are? (Like Bebe, Bridgette, Amanita, Cassius, Molayne and Celio)
{Hey there! The other administrators are still around but pretty much living their own lives in their respective regions. So Bebe, for example, is usually found in Hearthome, Amanita is in Castelia (this blog is post BW2), Cassius is in Camphrier, Molayne is often hanging around either the Hokulani Observatory or the Alolan Pokémon League HQ (depending on whether or not there’s a challenger), and Celio is running One Island’s Communication Center. Brigette, meanwhile, is the only one with a non-canon station (as it were) in that she’s only sometimes living with her sister in Fallarbor. More often than naught, though, she’s at her own place in Ever Grande.}

A quick study, incomplete, to be completed. My Eevee, Ice, has yet to evolve but we have been studying all evolutionary possibilities and they seem to desire to evolve into Glaceon. Of course, I had made the plan far ahead when I recieved their egg but they were the one to decide; it is their future, not my own. Watching their reaction to meeting one of my trailer's Glaceon, the little ball of fur was beyond enamored. Though quickly they learned her icey nature matched her external temperature, as usual but Eevee is still young with so much to learn. Keeping it short, their tongue was stuck to Glaceon's fur, though she groomed and soothed Ice until free. That meeting really seemed to give them determination, when presented our current evolutionary knowledge for Eevee, Ice was set on the Ice type possibility. Of course, this requires us taking a trip when they are ready, but for now, they will learn to be patient and learn from their brother, Sushi, the beloved Vaporeon that is my partner pokemon. When we're ready, we'll visit Sinnoh for more than just their evolution- I am quite fond of the competitions held in Sinnoh in Hearthome City and Pachirisu is quite the elusive Pokemon that I think my fellow leader would adore. They seem common here, not near Hearthome but if we continue the usual route, we can easily reach Route 217 and see many things along the way- studying the Moss Rock would be ideal as well. It will be a momentous visit, but I know it will not be wasted for even a moment. We will learn, grow and be able to share our studies with trainers as well as my fellow leaders and Professor. Theory suggests that an Ice Stone could evolve certain Ice types such as Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Sandshrew but until we further explore Alola, Sinnoh is our current target aside from Unova, which has been spectacular. Before I continue more, I will end this before I ramble on longer.

Conspiratorial ramblings about USUM...
Soooo... that trailer(?) for USUM has got me thinking back to the SM announcement. “It all comes together”. There wasn’t really an explanation for that in-game, but if USUM is referencing all the cosmic/weird stuff in previous games...
...Might as well list all of it and try to work out how it could fit together, right? All of the left-over mysteries?
KANTO
Well, there’s not really a lot...
Except Clefairy. The Clefairy line are from the Moon. They have a mystic moon dance.
So, Pokemon can come from outer space. That’s been established for 20 years now. It’s canon. No one disputes it.
So... what is a Pokemon, if it’s not necessarily something that’s only found on Earth...?
The Clefairy also dance around meteorites in HGSS... I’ll come back to that.
JOHTO
What are the Unown?
They’re freakishly powerful in large numbers but not very strong at all alone. In fact, they may be the weakest of all fully-evolved Pokemon simply because they only get one attack and that’s Hidden Power. Come on, even Cosmog got two moves, and at least Magikarp gets Flail...
In fact, they are so strong that they can create gods, if we count the Arceus event as canon (and I see no reason why the concept shouldn’t be).
That said, they only do the god-creating thing in the presence of Arceus and presumably at its command. So what’s the relationship of Arceus and the Unown?
HOENN
Where did those dimensional distortions come from? Most of it was Hoopa’s fault but Palkia, Dialga and Giratina were in special rifts that didn’t look like Hoopa’s handiwork.
More meteorites, like with the Clefairy, but this time relating to Deoxys. We know that Deoxys was created by the Ultimate Weapon in the ORAS verse, but what about in RSE? Remember, the RSE verse is still canon, just a different canon. It had no Kalosian War. So where did that Deoxys come from?
What happened to the Emerald canon? We can assume that the Ultra Beasts attacked the Battle Frontier, but how did they get there in sufficient numbers to be a major threat to the Frontier? And what happened after Annabel fell into the SM verse?
Looker washed up on the beach of the ORAS Frontier with no memories. This made me think during the UB quest that Looker would be a Faller, but he never was. Or at least, Nanu wasn’t aware that he was a Faller if he was one, and I feel like their superiors would at least have informed Nanu. So what happened to Looker’s memories, why was he on the beach, and where did he get that Audinite?
(Interesting note: Looker wasn’t in RSE. Obviously this is because he was introduced in Platinum, but ORAS made a point of bringing him in anyway. That, and he keeps reappearing and being developed in a way that no other character is. Is Looker more important than GF is letting on...?)
SINNOH
What is Arceus’s deal? If it’s God, why can it be caught? Did it lose its power? And if so, does that have anything to do with the Unown?
This is a really minor question, but since the Distortion World was in the “trailer”: how does Ultra Space interact with the Distortion World? US is outside of normal spacetime, so we can assume it’s seperate from our world’s twin, but can an Ultra Wormhole open in the Distortion World?
(Because if it can, that raises the possibility of Cyrus meeting one, and that’s kinda scary.)
What became of Cyrus, and did his Commanders ever find him?
That building in Hearthome. Sorry, there’s no way that’s a community centre. That’s a religious building, right down to how it’s designed and everyone acts inside. And yet, there’s no mention of a Legendary Pokemon. Am I reading too far into this or is something else going on?
UNOVA
N and Ghetsis’s relationship. There’s a massive resemblence, but N is somehow adopted? What gives?
The Abyssal Ruins. The “trailer” showed them, so they’re important. They contain an alphabet never seen anywhere else, items that can’t be found anywhere else, and have some kind of weird effect to flush people out. Oh, and they venerate an unknown king, which could be one of the brothers... but which one? Why only that one?
When did the splitting of the Original Dragon occur? That civilisation was “at its peak” 2,500 years ago. That’s WAY too close to the magic 3,000-year mark for my comfort. If it was at its peak 2,500 years ago then it’s plausible it could have been founded 500 years beforehand and thrived, and if the brothers apparently had a hand in shaping Unova, then that might mean Unova was founded 3,000 years ago.
That’s especially interesting because Unova is set in New York, which is a much later settlement than any others shown in the game. (There were Native Americans in the area before that, true, but it’s based on the modern New York aaaaand somehow I doubt Native Americans factored in much to the creation of Unova’s backstory. Unfortunately.)
The Entralink suddenly became much more interesting with the return of Burnett, since it’s connected to the Dream World/Interdream Zone. It’s literally a portal between alternate realities. Looking at the importance that ORAS and SM have given to alternate realities, that’s pretty interesting. Is there a connection between the Entralink and the Ultra Beasts?
Elgeyem/Beheeyem. They’re aliens, right? So how did they get to Earth? It’s a similar deal to Clefairy...
KALOS
The Lumiose ghost girl. Yes she’s based on an urban legend, but every other creepy thing in Pokemon has made sense in context. We get no context for the ghost girl. Who is “the one” and does this girl have any connection to the train station message?
The statues of Reshiram and Zekrom in Parfum Palace. Why those two Pokemon? If you take into account my previous point about Unova potentially being founded 3,000 years ago, and compare that with Kalos’s timeline and those two statues...
...then you’re almost forced to conclude that there’s a link between Kalos and Unova. France colonised a good chunk of North America. NY was British, I grant, but the real-world comparison isn’t too far off. The real-world comparison therefore begs the question of whether Kalosians founded Unova...
...and if so, where did the hero brothers come from? We know who Kalos’s king was 3,000 years ago and what he was doing at that time, and we know the brothers are royalty. We also know what his brother was doing. Were Unova’s kings their sons?
It was a Lucario that first Mega Evolved according to XY, but Rayquaza had a Mega Evolution before that according to ORAS. So this power got suddenly granted to lots of different Pokemon via the ultimate weapon... but that begs the question of why Rayquaza could do it when nothing else could. Why was Rayqaza just more receptive to Infinity Energy? If it was Arceus it may make a little more sense, but...
ALOLA
If the Z-Ring can be used for Mega Evolution, does that mean that Z-Power is Infinity Energy under a different name? That’s not as odd as it might seem. No Alolan Pokemon can Mega Evolve, and no Mega Stones are natively found in Alola, so it’s not a stretch that people wouldn’t realise they were the same thing...
(But what does that mean for an RSE-verse Alola? No Infinity Energy = no Z-Power = no Z-Moves = the island challenge is totally different...)
Why is Alola such a focal point for UB activity?
What’s with those empty plots of land?
Mohn is bugging me. He’s a Faller, right? But since when do Fallers end up back in their original universe?
Yep, I’m calling it: the Mohn of Poke Pelago is USUM’s Mohn and SM’s Mohn is going to be in USUM.
The guy in the desert who was given “star pulses” by a Lunatone/Solrock which were then passed down to a “group of wonderful men”. Many people suspect this is a reference to the O-Power men in ORAS and thus Mr Bonding. That scene with Mr Bonding’s creation was never explained. Why is it being brought up in a game without O-Powers?? Are we going to find out what his deal is? Because seriously, what the heck?

The story for my trainer (I refer to them as Ben and Murphy, or just Ben Murphy. I like many named but Ben and Murphy are. More go tos). My trainer hails from Sinnoh. Nico was the very first Pokemon they met, as a little Mime Jr, in the Trophy Gardens not too far from Hearthome. The two became very good pals. It wasn’t a long story but that’s where Nico came from.
Marea comes from an Alolan journey. She used to be a part of a whole group of Mareanie but she was kicked out for scaring Corsola away during hunts (she didn’t want to eat them, she just wanted to be friends). She looked very fierce to a lot of people on the little beach she ended up on but she just wanted to play. A lot of people were scared from her little beach and the story broke through the grapevine there was a terrifying pokemon on that beach. But upon investigation, no scary Pokemon, just a lonely Mareanie. She joins too and now it’s a Trio.

-- Sinnoh Arc II: Journeying (IV)
Tumblr media
The days following, Leon and his pokemon were already up and on the move. They headed down through Route 206, aiming for Oreburgh City. Briefly side-tracked by Wayward Cave in seeing some Gible, it was Cavall and Lancelot who got Leon on the right track to get to the next gym. Close to Oreburgh City a day or so later following the Wayward Cave exploration, they only spent long enough to rest at a pokemon center, eat, and then they were on the road towards Mount Coronet. Letting Lancelot lead the way through the famous cavern that held as many secrets as it was the setting for the Pokemon League, he found himself taking the time to enjoy the sights -- but only briefly. Leon was laser-focused on getting to Hearthome City -- Sinnoh’s beating heart -- even more so than Jubilife City.
Upon exiting Mount Coronet, it was a straight shot to said place and with just one or two trainers looking to battle, Leon made his way there. With time for his pokemon to rest upon arrival, he took the time to inquire about Hearthome’s gym. Hearing it was open especially at night due to the trainer’s preference on ghost-types, Leon made a decision to face down Fantina that night. Meeting and choosing a more advanced battle against her ace team of Drifblim, Gengar, and Mismagius; he chose to go with Decidueye, Armarouge, and while thinking to use Sandslash -- his Ampharos, Gawain, stepped up to the plate instead.
He wanted to test out Mega Evolution as shown by tapping to his collar he wore proudly. Leon didn’t have as strong a bond with Gawain quite yet, but he believed enough in the Ampharos to give it a try... and neither were disappointed. It was a tough fight, but Gawain stood his own against the Mismagius and with Leon having to catch him at the end due to exhaustion, the duo were awarded with the third badge of Leon’s journey, as well as advice on where to go next -- Veilstone City.
With that in mind, Leon thanked Fantina and Gawain for helping him in this battle and headed to the Pokemon Center to make sure his pokemon were fed and could have a chance to recover ( and a day of rest tomorrow so he could explore Hearthome City ). The thought process to focus on Mega Evolution and Lancelot’s training overtook his mind then... but in the end, he had to remember he had an entire roster who were eager to prove themselves, and he couldn’t neglect that... so while he could use Mega Evolution a bit here, he would have to do it in moderations -- further training could come after the Sinnoh League.
His pokemon took priority.

-- Sinnoh Arc II: Journeying (III)
Tumblr media
Getting to see Floaroma Town and its surroundings over the next two days was interesting to Leon as himself, his Decidueye, Celeste, and Lancelot set out from the small flowery town that was supposedly home to more Shaymins this coming time of year and headed towards the Valley Windworks. Witnessing some passing Drifloon and Drifblim, as well as the giant Wind Turbines that powered the local cities was truly a sight. It was clear and beautiful today too with a slight chill in the air. Nothing too bad -- and not even the occasional trainer could stop them but soon enough they were reaching Eterna Forest.
A dense place that reminded him of the Weald and Tangle respectively, and not to mention Grandcrest Ranch. Finding their way through it proved to be a bit of a challenge, however. There were the occasional trainer that afterward would point them in the direction of the exit, but it was still... well... somehow he was getting lost even with Celeste and Lancelot’s help... or was he? Something about the Forest felt off -- more off then the Fae-enlaced places he had been before. It all came to make sense rather quickly however when a Gengar made itself known and headed towards a old building that Leon would come to know as the Haunted Chateau... or so Celeste was able to translate by a passing Misdreavus.
Staring at it for a time, Leon considered going in, but... well, it would be rude to disturb a place that such as this in his eyes. It felt like walking over a grave in some ways. That being said, the forest seemed to... let up in realizing he wasn’t going to fall for their tricks and while they could easily go to Eterna City now, it was already nightfall and trekking in the dark would only turn them around. So Leon chose to set up camp there in the forest as brave as he was and while he and his pokemon were happy to be outdoors, they were approached by wild pokemon ghost and grass-type alike who joined in on the fun.
Leon found himself enjoying this forest a bit too much as he was reminded by Bahamut they needed to be on the road. With that in mind, they headed to Eterna City on the following morn’. It took a day or so to reach there, but they were soon there and upon arrival, Leon wasted no time in challenging Gardenia to a three versus three -- her Cherrim, Torterra, and ace, Roserade, against Poli’ahu, Lancelot, and Bahamut with the idea of finally testing Mega Evolution. Lancelot against the Cherrim was no joke and it invoked Lancelot’s determination as he was on his last leg in evolving into a Luxio. Proving his worth in knocking out the Cherrim, he stood no chance against the Torterra. It took Poli’ahu next to take down the Torterra and unfortunately go down to the Roserade. Bahamut wasted no time in taking to the field, and in invoking Mega Evolution with their powerful bond...
... he made mince meat out of Gardenia and her Roserade both with barely a few scratches. Receiving his second badge, Leon thanked her and heeded her advice to head to Hearthome City next. For now though, Leon would need to see his ‘mons got some rest and Lancelot celebrated his evolution.
