Q: What new release are you most excited for today?. I'm so glad A Show For Two is officially out in the world! I read Counting Down With You back in March and fell in love with @tashiebhuiyan’s writing, so I can't wait to start A Show For Two - my audiobook hold just came in and I'm listening to it today. QTOD: What was your favorite read of the month? Mine was These Violent Delights, although admittedly the more I think about it, the more I want to lower my rating. It’s definitely a bit overhyped but it’s not like it had much of a competition - the only other books I read this month was its sequel (which I liked less), an unfinished (for now) read, and a Kindle Unlimited book that I can’t remember the plot of (oops?). — Not gonna lie, I had a nice month off of bookstagram. It was nice to just be able to relax and read after work without having to worry about posting and interacting. Not to say I didn’t miss it - if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be back. 📚 How many books do you own?? Or, how do you like to organize your bookshelves?? Happy Sunday, Bookworms! Do you know how many books you own? Last time I counted, (and that was sometime last year), I own well over 1,000 books. 😅 I’ve added a lot more since then as well. 🙈 As you can see above, the stacks and stacks of books are getting a little out of control. But, I am planning to do an unhaul soon and I will hopefully have a few boxes worth to send to donations. 🥰 And I try to organize my shelves by genre and author, but it doesn’t always work out the way I want it to. 😆 What about you guys? 📚 How was your reading month for May? And, what was your favorite read of the month?? It’s the last day of May, fellow bookworms … Did you have a good reading month? Did you have any favorite reads of the month? 📚 My month was full of ups and downs, (more downs than ups), and I didn’t get to read as much as I had hoped. BUT, I did enjoy all of the books I did read this month. As you can see above, I hit the contemporaries and romances pretty heavily this month. They were just the distractions that I needed. I also really enjoyed diving back into *The Kiss of Deception* again. It’s such a great series to reread. And I’m hoping to finish up *Braverly* today as well. 📚 What are you currently reading, or hoping to read this weekend? It’s finally Friday, fellow bookworms. Do you have any reading plans this weekend? If so, what are you reading? ❤️ I have not read much at all this week … It’s been such a sad week, and I’ve spent way too much time doom-scrolling, which has not helped my anxiety at all. 🎧 Do you listen to audiobooks or podcasts? Or music? What’s something you’re currently listening to?? Happy Sunday, Bookworms! Are you guys ready to enjoy this last day of the weekend? I am, once again, so not ready for it to end. ☺️ It goes by too quickly! Do you like listening to audiobooks? What about podcasts? And music?? 🥰 I loooooove audiobooks, and listen to them ALL the time! It’s such a great way to read a book when you have no time to actually sit down and read. 📚 How do you feel about spin-off series? And, do you prefer paperbacks or hardcovers? It’s Thursday, Bookworms … The weekend is so close, and I’m SO ready for it. How about you? I took a break from posting yesterday so I didn’t get to ask about your favorite print formats. Do you prefer hardcover or paperback books? I love both, and for completely different reasons. Hardcovers look great sitting on my shelf and are a lot more durable, but there’s something special about a nice floppy paperback. I seem to be buying more and more of them lately. 🥰 What about you? And do you like spin-off series? For me, it depends on how I liked the original book or series. If it has characters or a story that I enjoyed, then I do usually end up checking out the spin-off as well. 🥰 I feel like I haven’t read all that many spin-off series, but one I did enjoy is the *Six of Crows* duology.
