I keep seeing critics talking about the fnaf movie being poor but it literally isn't for them. I saw someone else saying the movie's a love letter to the fandom and i WHOLEHARTEDLY agree.
This is how i took it: We, the fans, are Anton Ego, the critic from Ratatouille; the ratatouille was special to us because it was our childhood. I hate ratatouille (the food), but to Anton Ego it was everything. Critics don't like the fnaf movie because they only have the movie as context, but to fans, the fnaf movie is everything and we love it even though it's a little cringey. In fact we love it BECAUSE it's cringey in some cases.
Like no new viewers would get the chica's magic rainbow part, or the MatPat reference, or the whole ongoing bit about Dream Theory sucking, or understand how hype the whole ending part was.
I was lucky to be in a cinema full of fnaf fans, and we were cheering and laughing, and screaming at the references. People got up when the movie ended and SAT BACK DOWN when the living tombstone came on. We shouted the letters of the code, and screamed when Matpat said his line. People clapped and cheered at the end, and people were crying at the parts where they were treating the animatronics with love and affection.
No critics would understand how much fans want to interact with the animatronics in a positive way, or understand how much importance the five seconds of its me on the mirror means in implications of the lore. They wouldn't understand because they haven't been waiting a good part of a decade to see this movie. They came, they saw, and that's it, it was a second of their life, but to us it was everything. This is our ratatouille, made to impress us, not the other people in the restaurant. This was our movie, a love letter to the fandom, not the critics.
I like the changes to the story, because it puts us back at square one. We're fumbling to rearrange lore and timelines. We have to rearrange names, and start with a blank slate, and it feels like a homecoming where to critics, it might feel a little messy.
We've been given a chance to start the journey all over again and i fucking love it so much. Because i'm an adult, and all of a sudden, i'm twelve years old again and we're trying to figure out if phone guy is chica, and struggling our way through whatever the fuck was happening in fnaf 3 to get the good ending. The critics don't get this.
They don't understand how hype the midnight motorists reference is, nor did they care about the references on the chalkboard. Or the code at the end, or the song choices, or the lore implications. They don't understand the sudden lore drop of william afton, or the way he's acting, but we do. They don't understand the vengeful spirit, but we do. Nothing is explained to the audience, because we don't need it to be explained.
This is our ratatouille, and we love the rats in the kitchen.

Tumblr media
gotham city, USA.
it's late.
you have no clock nearby, but you feel it in your bones. in your muscles too. it's too late and bruce should be home already. laying in the sofa, only half conscious, you regret telling alfred to go to bed. at least you wouldn't be alone. of course, being married to the batman you knew he would patrol at night often. you were okay with it. but lately bruce had been too focused on his other, and recent, goal: running for mayor. at first it seemed out of character, he was never good with the public or the press. but he stared at thomas wayne's painting in the hall in such painful façade, it made sense all off sudden. you were supportive of it. you showed up to every event just to stay by his side, to show the people the lovable man he was. the man you loved. the man who couldn't even be home for dinner.
the penthouse's elevator dings, opening its doors at the end of the hallway you see perfectly from your seat. your head doesn't lift instantly, like in the first week. instead, a long sigh escapes from your lips as bruce reaches the living room.
"hello, darling." he says, still in motion as he walks the stairway up to the room you shared. not a single kiss, or a hug. you follow him, because what else is there to do? you need to go to bed anyway. by the time you get there, slowly, his suit is already on the floor and he's taking a shower.
"how was the meeting?" you ask, knowing he usually did his Wayne Enterprising meetings — which consisted of hanging out long hours in bars with business men — at night. recently, he started a complicated relationship with a real estate company he wanted to invest in.
"the usual." he stopped fully answering these questions three weeks ago, making the only time you ever talked even shorter. the city has gotten more violent than ever since his batman duties were put on standby.
"any closer to sealing the deal?" you sit on the bed, watching the open bathroom door.
"probably." it's not like he's being rude. well, maybe a little bit. he just doesn't want to talk any more, it's clear on his tone. but it's 2am and you brain isn't working too well.
"when is this gonna end, bruce?" you finally say, as he puts his boxers on. "when are we ever having dinner again? or going on a date? when are you gonna stop treating me like i'm some sort of home decor?" you almost vomit out the words that have been stuck on your throat for days. surprisingly, the heartache doesn't softens. instead, it gets worse. it's like admitting your abandonment.
six months ago, you started trying to get pregnant. it hadn't always been a dream of yours, but the idea of having an heir to all you've spent your life building is charming. you realised you were in the right time to do so, you had just turned 28, bruce was 32, and both had stable careers. a month later, bruce announced his candidacy. and so soon you gave up. you told yourself once he won the election everything would be fine. you would try again. but, realistically, being a mayor was already a lot of work on itself. he wouldn't want a pregnant wife or a child to take care of. after the four years, who knows? he might as well have a new life project. and your family would always stand on the side.
"i don't know what you're talking about..." he doesn't look into your eyes. hell, he barely looks at you. that feeling, the negligence, is enough to trigger the tears. you take a deep breath, making an effort to look composed.
"don't you, though?" your voice is shaken. look at me. look at me. look at me. look at me. he doesn't. "bruce." you call, finally getting his attention. however, the boredom on his face knocks you off your feet, legs trembling in pain and anger. "i just want you to make an effort on us..."
"really? cause that's all i ever done." he's leaning on the doorframe, arms crossed in a way you would find attractive in other circumstances. but now he's yelling and you fight back the urge to shrink into the mattress. "do you think i wanna have a kid on this fucked up town? i'm tryna fix this. fix everything!" his faces turns red-ish. something inside of you makes you want to leave the room. you've always been an avoider, that is one of the reasons you hadn't really had couple fights. so, basically, this is very new. "i've got the weight of the fucking world on my back."
"let's leave then" you manage to say, replacing the you chose this. it was true, however, that he was the one to put himself in this position. bruce wayne could've gotten his entire life without working if he wanted to. but he always needed to save everyone, to suffer for other's happiness. he was a giver. sometimes you wondered if he needed to be saved instead.
"you know i can't do that." he mumbles, in a defeated tone. a sigh escapes from his lips, suddenly the tiredness takes over his face. it's almost enough to make you let it go, to internalise your distress again. he really can't, you know that. he feels that the city is his liability, because it was the only thing he had since he became an orphan. but he had you, too. he just didn't acknowledge that.
"and i can't stay like this." it sounds like an whisper, but it's a plead. choose me. please. he seems to read it in your eyes, face contorting in agony when he realises what you're asking for. me or gotham? it's stupid to think he would ever choose you. but you hoped, so desperately, because you would choose him. always.
"let's not do this tonight, okay? i have to be in the office by the morning." tears instantly fall as he turns off the lights and lays on the bed, turning his back to where you slept. for a moment, you're static. his words were final. were you ever in control of something in your life? why were all of these decisions being made for you? mechanically, you stand on both feet and walk to the door. you don't even notice your movement until you're on the elevator. your husband didn't intervene either. this neighbourhood is one of the safest in town, which honestly isn't much but you had to get out. anyway, nowhere is totally safe at 3am.
you walk two blocks, clinging to the fluffy sweater you wore. the depressing air of gotham slows your pace, to a point you start wondering if it was really necessary to be aware. you could feel the city devouring you, starting with your hope. the blue 24h sign lights up the street, in a way that isn't welcoming, but you know the place well enough to not be scared to get in. a bell sounds over the door and wakes up the male behind the counter. he's got long black hair and seems to haven't seen a good night of sleep in weeks. same, you think.
"hi. can i get the blue one?" you point at the camel's behind the man. he nods, quickly putting a pack on the wooden board. the prices pops up on the cashier's display. you pay and go outside. smoking was an bad habit from your college days, when pressure got too excruciating. every now and then you would treat yourself to some cigarettes, for the confidence it gave you. the sense of control to be the one, for once, ruining yourself. the smoke burns your throat on the first inhale and you hold back a cough. you're too entertained by the cigar to notice the black van approaching. it stops right in front of you, and everything happens too quickly for your brain to process. it's all dark.
he's in a meeting, the boring kind.
the kind that has him seated in silence while a representative talks to his employees, who never get to listen to their actual boss. there's a chart being shown on a large tv on the other side of the room. he's not listening, though. he's writing down ideas for a thanksgiving speech. a head pops into the conference room.
"mr. wayne." it's one of the new assistants, hired especially for the election season. he didn't care to memorise her name, because temps usually don't last long. if she hadn't called him, he might've not even looked up. but the room is silent, expecting eyes on him. the girl at the door looks terrified. "you're urgently required outside, please."
he sighs as he gets up from his leather chair. the second the door closed behind him, chatter is heard again. in the corridor, the woman conducts him to his office and they get in. there's a bit of a commotion, four men lounge around his table, all their faces tense.
"mr. wayne, i'm afraid we don't have good news." the head of the marketing team speaks, a man called robert vance. he's probably said the same phrase to bruce about seven times this month, so that doesn't do much. the assistant approaches with an ipad, unpausing a video. "we received this from an anonymous email about forty minutes ago. we weren't able to get the ip address just yet."
the video starts with a black screen, zooming out to show a woman with a bag over her head. she has her hands on her back and is kneeling on the ground. bruce's heart skips a beat noticing the hair falling down her shoulders.
"bruce wayne..." an eerie voice whispers from behind the camera, breathing heavily. "i've robbed an egg from your basket, and you haven't even noticed!" there's a disturbing chuckle and the video shakes a bit. bruce doesn't move, eyes stuck on the screen. no one in the room has done anything other than breathing. someone gulps. "it's been long hours, but we're having fun, aren't we, darling?" a gloved hand reaches for the bag, pulling it out. her face - your face - is dripping blood. you're biting on a fabric, still in your home clothes. bruce's jaw clenches. you're crying, face beaten, in this degrading situation. your eyes pierce the screen right into his. suddenly, a gun is tapped on your forehead and you close your eyes into a sob. your lips mouth please. "i'm running out of patience here, you're running out of time. let's do business, shall we?" he laughs, knocking the pistol on the side of your head, making you fall laying on the floor, unconscious. the spot bleeds. "here's my proposal: you come clean about your father's deal with carmine falcone and maybe i don't shoot little mrs. wayne... or i do both. it's your choice, really. the clock is ticking. tick tock, wayne."
the video stops, the sight of a gun pointed at your unresponsive body burns into his mind. bruce is panting, the adrenaline rushes into his brain. there's a million of plans being built, but none of them seem viable.
"don't let media get this." he managed to say. one of the men in suits says it's too late. the tv flicks on showing a news report on the video. he kicks the side of his table, the contents being thrown across the room. "FUCK! you bastards wait forty fucking minutes to show me this?" he screams, no one can look him in the eyes. a hand runs through his black hair. "meanwhile my wife is out there with a gun on her head! and what have you done? i swear to god, if i don't find her alive and well i'm killing everyone in this goddamned room with my bare hands."
he storms out of there, reaching to his phone to call alfred and noticing the multiple missed calls. fucking silent mode. the sun is setting.
"i got the address." the butler says, instead of hello. a 'ding' sounds in his ear.
there has been pain for so long. you try to remember before the pain. but all is pain. he has to make it stop.
the floor is cold cement and you feel so small in this huge warehouse. the man in the mask knows you can't run. not only you're tied up, but the will had left you long before getting dragged into that van. he sees it in your eyes. so he strolls around, always in that ridiculous dark green overall. then he beats you up for fun. no cameras. just you and the devil himself. you find yourself praying, after all these years. you don't pray to get out, no. you pray so that it ends soon. you pray that the stab wound in your abdomen will get you an infection. you pray that when you close your eyes, you never have to open them again. but the divine has left you in the cold cement.
there's an explosion. your eyes open. there's smoke and dust taking over one of the walls. you're seeing everything horizontally, cheek on the floor. the man in green is just as scared as you were.
bruce wayne busted that fucking wall down. he expected a full team of psychopaths and maybe some more security. there was just one coward in the warehouse. the thing stares at him coming out of the smoke, fingers fidgeting. the batman steps forward. the freak steps back. then turns around, runs to a half broken wardrobe and grabs a gun from it. bruce walks slowly. there's a struggle loading the gun. he takes the opportunity to run and throw the thing on the floor. he bangs his head on it. the vermin screams. he takes one punch. two. tries to reach for the fallen gun. bruce steps on his hand and the loud crack echoes in the room. he screams again. three punches. the mask is taken off. his nose is bleeding. more punches. he holds the neck. the head is turning purple. oh how he wants to kill this little shit. bruce wayne will kill him. it will just take a few more seconds...
"baby, no" at first he thinks he's imagining it. it's so soft, so weak. but he looks up and there she is. his hands loose. right on the corner, chains on her legs. her face is ruined from blood and dirt. her wrists bleed too. the motherfucker chained her. hell is too good for this thing.
bang. on his shoulder. he looks down and the blood is dripping on the freak's face. he’s pushed to the side, holding the wound. tiny white dots obstruct his vision. he grunts through the pain. the man gets up and runs towards you. bruce can’t move. he arches his back, trying to roll and lay on his chest. it feels like he can’t move his arm anymore, like his bones had detached. when he finally does so, the man is escaping through a window. his hand searches for the adrenaline-boost in his belt, grabs it and quickly injects on his leg. it takes a second to get his blood rushing again. he crawls up and jumps through the window, which leads him to a metal balcony.
you’re almost standing, but he holds your chains and a gun to your face. the shooting sound had scared you awake. you can’t believe how close to bruce you finally are, but the conditions couldn’t be worse. you can hear water running below your feet, you don’t need daylight to show you the violent river you’re standing above. this is not good.
bruce has his hands up in the air and is holding himself back to not do anything stupid. the man’s face is contorting into the creepiest smile. no.
everything happens so slowly, yet he’s not quick enough to grab you in time. you’re falling in the air and he jumped after you. for a moment, the world is air. you can’t hold out your hand. your hair is flying in your face, he does not want to die without seeing you one last time. his cape holds him back and the distance between you only increases. you’re gone. the impact comes.

OFMD S2 Meta - Stede's Garbage Self-Worth with regards to Ed is still unresolved
(And I'm so hyped for this plotline)
H'ok! So of all the scenes in episodes 1-3 of OFMD S2, this is the one I've been most hyped to discuss but I've been putting it off a few days so people had at least a little time to watch the new eps.
Gifs are courtesy of @ratchet from this gifset:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hoooo BOY this is such an interesting scene to unpack! Because to me there's at least 3 levels going on here.
What Lucius hears
What the audience "hears"
What Stede literally said
Thing is, I believe when Stede says, "I'm not ready to believe that," the tone that Lucius hears and that the audience is at least 50/50 expected to hear based on the sort of cadence of the scene is, "I'm not ready to believe that Ed's best days are behind him. I'm going to change that."
But I'm not convinced that's what Stede is saying, what Rhys Darby is portraying, or what is literally on the page.
Literally, on the page, Stede says he's not ready to believe that. And given that Stede is very neurodivergent coded, Rhys is self-confessed autistic, and I believe Rhys is bringing that to his portrayal of Stede, I think we really should look at literal words as written and not just run with they're implied to say. This could be read as a declaration that Stede refuses to accept a reality where Ed's best days are behind him or the literal reading: he still can't process that Ed Teach's time with Stede Bonnet was the best Ed's life is ever going to get.
I believe this is for multiple reasons:
Stede isn't going to throw off a lifetime of low self-esteem and bullying overnight just because he's realized he's in love. Especially when the manner of realizing it (end of S1) was hurting the person he loves pretty badly by abandoning him without a word. He's determined to fix his mistakes but each step of the journey is revealing just how big of a mistake it actually was. Not exactly the stuff of sudden self-confidence and positive self-image change.
It requires a full re-write in Stede's brain of every single assumption he had about his relationship with Ed before their separation. Stede in S1, to my eyes, very much saw himself as the junior partner in the relationship. He saw Ed as taking pity on him, to some extent. He felt blessed to have Ed there. It informed so much of their relationship and it especially informed him taking off when he thought his presence was an active burden on Ed. Basically, what Lucius is saying here attacks the very foundations of Stede's understanding of the happiest part of his life so far. To learn that Ed wasn't just the happiest part of his life, but that he, Stede Bonnet, was the happiest part of Ed's life? Whew. Fuck. Not good. Very not good.
Because it's really not good if he was the happiest part of Ed's life, that he so fundamentally misunderstood their dynamic because of his low self-esteem, that he ended the happiest period of Ed's life without warning, without a note, prematurely, and left Ed with the inescapable conclusion that Stede doesn't care about him.
I think worse, even worse, is that Stede has evidence that Lucius is right that he was the best part of Ed's life. But in S1, we're heavily in Stede's POV and Stede's POV of himself is that he's a joke, pathetic, garbage, lucky to have someone like Ed in his life. But Ed's literal actions, louder than words, are that he chose Stede. He gave up piracy for him. He stayed by him. He offered his life for Stede's. Stede wasn't ready to hear that then, he couldn't hear it over the sound of his own low self-esteem whispering poison in his ear, externalized by the Badmintons (both real and imagined). He took their words as fact, rather than Ed's actions as fact. Reexamining Ed's actions shows just how wrong they were. Just how wrong Stede was. And just how badly he hurt Ed because he didn't listen to Ed, the person he loves, over the voices of his own trauma, self-doubt, or of the Badmintons, people who literally hated Stede.
It's a lot. It's a lot for Stede to take in. He's not there yet. But I love that we've had it said aloud: this is a major plot point still. Stede's end-of-S1 glow-up didn't signal that he's self-confident now enough to realize he might be as good for Ed as Ed is for him. He's still grappling with that. It shatters him to even begin to realize this. They have to work through that still. Stede is ready to start listening but he still doesn't, can't literally can't, believe it just yet. It's just too big.
And I am absolutely salivating to see how the rest of the season deals with this thread.

Chucky predictions
SPOILER WARNING FOR CHUCKY S3E5!
I wanna make Chucky theories so bad, but I can't think of any! This show is so crazy that I can't even predict or speculate on what could happen next. There are some people teasing on twitter though and all they've been doing is making me even more hyped for how this season is going to end. So here are some of my predictions based on everything that's been teased so far.
Jake will enter the spirit realm:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think he's necessarily going to die, but he's so fixated on ending Chucky for good to the point where he refused to run away from it all like Devon suggested. And we've heard the doctor, the only way you get to the spirit realm is by dying, but what if you didn't need to die? I believe that thanks to all the supernatural shit occurring there, the White House will become some sort of passage between the two realms. Jake will cross it to try and destroy Charles' soul, but if he will fail or succeed is still debatable...
Caroline helps Chucky get young again:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Jake fails in permanently killing Chucky, Caroline will come to the rescue. We know she'll be back, but what role will she play in this mess? When she'll return, all hell already would've broken loose and she'll just make it worse. Her sudden entrance at the White House will cause quite the emotional reunion for Lexi and her. Yet, Caroline didn't come alone. Armed with the Voodoo for Dummies book, sure, but she brought another friend, who's none other than the Good Guy Doll creator played by John Waters. He came with a new doll, a new vessel for Charles and with Caroline's newfound knowledge of Voodooism, she'll get Damaballa's blessings and give Chucky a new body, a new chance to not disappoint the almighty Iowa and if he plays his cards right, he might even become forever young.
Grant will survive:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't have any evidence to back this up, I just like him and think it's unfair that Lexy always has to say goodbye to someone she loves each season and I just don't want it to happen again. From a psychology standpoint it just desensitized her and would lead to her not getting attached to anyone else besides Jake & Devon next season, in fear of someone else always having to die because of her. And from a writing perspective it just gets repetitive, predictable and boring. So please Don Mancini don't kill him, also I love Jackson Kelly.
The past will haunt everyone:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Charles Lee Ray isn't the only ghost the Terror Trio will have to deal with in the newly supernatural possessed White House. We've seen the past of the Collins family haunt them time and time again, we've seen Henry talk about ghosts and fearing what they told him almost every single episode. Why would that stop at Joseph or Charles? Wouldn't it be horrible for our trio to be faced with the lives they lost thanks to a doll they couldn't stop? How would Jake react upon seeing his father again, disappointed at him for being gay. And Lexy, the poor girl, facing Junior, the boy she watched die, trying to save her... Not making at least one ghost of the past come back would be a wasted opportunity.
Tiffany will survive, but Jennifer's body might not:
Tumblr media
Tiffany's possible death has been brought up in every interview Jennifer Tilly made following the comeback of Chucky season 3. At this point it even became a ‘will they, won't they’ situation. Does Mancini really have the guts to kill off a cult favorite character and actress he loves so much? Or will we just say goodbye to seeing Tilly on screen and welcome only her voice? I mean the trailer kinda made it clear for me that this isn't the end of Tiffany's story, but maybe that of Jennifer's body.

The Roo-seum...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
group pics and other stuff under the cut! (just to avoid flooding the dash lmao)
CAS pics in the NEXT POST
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now onto me ranting.
The Roo-seum is a 16 sim project that's consumed me for the last couple of days (in a good way), this explores most of Roo's lifespan (not implying he's dead LMAO), from the age of 9 years old, up to now, 28 years old, talking about what he went through for each year (for the most part anyways), of course, I didn't start at 1 or 2 years old, mainly because, way back when I made all of these Roo's (roughly back in July '23, this is not an idea that suddenly sparked, I only acted on it because I have a way to show off each age that isn't a Picrew lmao... I can't draw well so I just used TS4), I made them in Picrew, which... at the time couldn't find a Picrew with kids/babies so the youngest I went was around 9 years old, and just built up from there.
Roo is my persona gone OC, around 5 or 6 years ago, I put on this persona of "Roo", which started as "The Unfortunate Roo" and Roo's (or Mine, since this was technically a Persona, doubling as an OC) design was COMPLETELY different back then, He wasn't a he, the design was a sucubus I think, I don't really recall and I really couldn't care for it, it's embarrassing 💀 I don't remember how he came to fruition, but I remember finding this one picrew that I LOVED, and I used that picrew to create ~Roo~, his initial design was akin to the 22-23 year old Roo, there's a lot about his design that I could talk about but will avoid doing so, but just know that his Sims design isn't super on the dot to what his actual design is supposed to look like.
So... what's Piametia?? Why did you come up with that?? How did you come up with that?? To be honest, I never actually came up with a name up until yesterday when writing the note for 10-12 year old Roo, I don't really remember what sparked me to come up with a condition that "has the Patient suffer a sudden loss or gain in pigmentation and melanin in the eyes and hair," I guess 17 year old me thought it was cool, and it is! It opened up a new story for him, where I couldn't provide story (for someone without Piametia), like how being affected by Piametia caused him to go from extremely accepting of himself, to getting bullied into "normalizing himself," While he achieved this, it was really in vain, because he was still bullied for his condition, but as he grew older, out of his teen years and into adulthood, it bothered him less and less, because, well, shit like that doesn't fucking matter, sure it still bothered him, sure it still traumatized him to some degree, but it's just what some stupid kids say, it doesn't determine what his worth is, and he understands that, so after recovering from almost ending his life, he realized that something had to change, he couldn't live in this wallowing ball of agony because some kids determined "hey! That kid is different! They're no longer as cool as we are! Get him!!"
I should also mention that he didn't develop Piametia til he was around 9 years old, which is exactly what the condition does, it's genetic (although it never occurred in Reese or Virginia, the only reasonable conclusion was that it skipped a generation) and it's drilled into the person's DNA and only takes effect before puberty (in the average kid). So Roo was considered a part of the other kids' little cliques and stuff, but only until his hair and eyes changed color.
I kind of hyped this up to be something extravagant and maybe it is, idk, I don't have the eyes of the audience, I'm just a guy who made this and I have a rather critical view of my work sometimes, I try not to, but force of habit lmao. I really liked making this because Roo is an OC who has grown with me, mainly because he's both a persona of me while also being an OC, so where I change and grow, he often reflects that change and growth, in his own ways of course, I often wish he was real, but he's not and that's the harsh reality. Also gonna clarify that his life does NOT completely reflect mine, I'm only 18, he's ten years older then me lmao, where he was 8 I was 10 years to be conceived- Roo is still his own character, he's had his own relationships, all of which have went poorly (reflecting my own), and even had his own stalker (which escalated)- But parts of his life like when he became extremely homophobic of himself and who he truly was is not reflective of myself, I never had that stage in life (whether you did or not however is not a bad thing unless your actually just homophobic, then gtfo like?? 😭).
I went on a rant there, and I probably could've kept going, but figured I should stop at some point lol, but I hope you guys like this, I sure LOVED making this and I love doing Roo related things and posts. I also provided text in the image descriptions in case it's hard to read in the images (I tried to keep it as clear and readable as possible), and in case anyone who uses a screen-reader finds this post :)

A few months back, my little sister and I started watching ROTTMNT together. While we had many reasons for our sudden interest, it was mainly due to the high praises from fans for its stellar autism representation. I myself am autistic, and my sister, a sucker for a good cartoon and my biggest supporter in more ways than one, was just as enthusiastic as me if not more so to see if the show lived up to the hype.
For a little background, Rise's version of Donatello is canonically autistic. And honestly, it was incredible representation. Watching the show with my sister, I was shocked by how often I was able to relate to Donnie. His sensory moments, difficulties with conveying emotion, his touch aversion, even little things like his use of sign, it all hit so close to home that it was almost scary. But what really hit me the hardest was the movie (spoilers btw).
Near the end of the movie, there were two moments that really stuck with me. The first, of course, was the incredibly accurate and disgusting scene showcasing Donnie's texture sensitivity as he tried to link with the Kraang ship. And while I was still ruminating on how accurate it was and how disgusted and panicked I felt, I was hit by this line: Raph - "Don't worry, Donnie! This is not a hug! It's a rescue!"
Now, to many of you, this might seem like nothing special, but for me, this was the single most important moment in any piece of media I'd ever consumed. To me, this was Donnie's family understanding and accepting him as he is. This was his brother making an effort to accommodate his needs. Because Donnie hates touch that isn't on his terms, especially when he's already around anxiety and unfamiliarity. Raph's acceptance of this fact and active reassurance in an attempt to comfort his brother in a high-stress situation shows just how much he and the others cared about Donnie, not in spite of his autistic traits, but because of them. Believe me when I say I started tearing up. And at first, I was embarrassed. Here I was, eighteen years old, crying over a children's cartoon. But I came to realize that it was because I'd never felt seen in that way before.
When your only exposure to autism in media is Sheldon Cooper and Rain Man, when you're given movies like Sia's Music and told to be grateful, when the largest corporation claiming to speak for you is actively trying to eradicate you, when all you're ever told is that your very existence is wrong, it becomes hard not to believe those things. A lack of representation in my life not only led to a late diagnosis but an extreme self-consciousness and lack of understanding from my peers. I struggled to be treated as an equal because people saw me as stupid and reclusive. But for the first time in my life, I was given one movie, one character, that made me feel accepted. And it made everything feel that much lighter.
Representation always matters. Whether it be ethnicity, disability, sexuality, gender identity, or whatever else it may be, it is incredibly important. Most marginalized groups grow up with no one to relate to, feeling like they are unimportant or wrong for existing. And that cannot stand. People deserve to feel seen, no matter who they are or their background.

WHAT DID I FUCKING SAY Y'ALL????
youtube
Eggman isn't the overly physically affectionate gushing and throwing arms around people type, it doesn't suit his demeanor and behavior and I'm glad to see that hasn't been suddenly forced with Sage. And that's even aside the way she's still actually not a physical being in the way she's a digital program so he'd surely just phase through her anyway since I'm pretty sure there isn't a solid physical sense of touch actually going on here between them, but again that's besides the point anyway-
This isn't over the top and uncomfortable OOC like in fanon. I like how it's a subtle and small gesture, with him extending his arm with hand out to her but looking away and forward. He's quiet, solemn, and reserved. His demeanor and body language is very important. He takes a breath that seems like a "sigh well, here goes" kind of way then mumbles it, not much, just small words of praise towards her doing the very things he created and praised her for before- doing what he wants her to and serving her purpose as his protector like she protected him in the fight, and calling her his daughter also has the same effect in encouraging her and he knows it, as well as how it's appealing to him for his pride as he said in the memo.
Also wow his bear paws are so fucking big do you see what I'm saying god damn lol I wanna hold them so bad too ahhgufdbkgshj 🥰 Speaking of, this is literally exactly how I imagine such gestures with him in my self sh!pp!ng too and I think anything different would be OOC, this is the way that works in any form I think
It's very important to acknowledge that he's not shy at all, that's the last word to describe him. He has the highest self esteem, self love, and confidence and it's all genuine. It's just that hyper affectionate super warm and mushy gushy-ness, be it through feelings, words, or actions isn't his thing. The most he's ever going to hype someone up close to it is in a performative manipulative way to urge them to continue doing what pleases him, and he forces it in some cases more than others, you get varying degrees.
But I like how it's on the more subtle side here a lot because it's even more telling of his true character. When he's acting like this it aligns with that reasoning again but with a new look at his style of showing it in a physical subtle manner, with his behavior being similar to the scene where she saved him in Cyber Space and said he was proud of her for it- only it was only through words then. We've now seen how he can show this verbally and physically and I like it a lot, it's the only way this can work and they did it. This is the best outcome.
Let me elaborate further; I truly believe that he doesn't know how to feel the typical conventional idea of "love" for anyone but himself because he is the biggest egotist and narcissist in all of existence and is extremely selfish and y'all seem to be forgetting what that entails for his behavior and personality feelings, and mindset with his self absorption and low empathy. There are no sudden exceptions to this, Sage is literally just another perfect example of it, nothing has changed with him.
The only way he can value anyone that isn't himself is in what they can do for him, what's in it for him is always his mindset, so it's the same thing of self praising, self serving, and self-centered, just being served through another person appealing to that through serving him, agreeing with his outlook, and having a willingness to serve and good use to him. And guess what? That's still the exact reasoning behind it with Sage. This is known and true in the prequel comic, memos, and Flynn's words and hasn't changed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And why wouldn't he be pleased with her for this and praise her for it when it goes along the exact lines of that?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's in character because Sage is the one giving some thing to him, protecting him, serving him, and showing loyalty, support, and respect for his desires. She does exactly what he wants as she's created for and is genuinely willing and enthusiastic about it unlike a lot of other creations of his. Eggman still hasn't done shit for Sage except praise her when she does what he wants but then becomes grumpy and snaps at her every time she does something he doesn't.
In fact he does it again in this scene too where he's seemingly really jealous and pissed when he notices her looking at Super Sonic with admiration lol
Tumblr media
It's selfish on Eggman's side and selfless on Sage's side, so it works.
That's why I still wouldn't put the word "love" to Eggman's side of the dynamic because I feel it has connotations that don't accurately define his feelings. Though you could at least say he "loves" and "cares" for her "in his… own way" as Sonic put it, because there's actually selfish and unsettling reasons behind it as Flynn himself put it too. But it's not hyper affectionate, unconditional, or genuinely selfless like people are acting like it is. And it's so much more interesting that way and fun to analyze.
Eggman commending Sage for her work and for serving her purpose makes sense and is in character. It's nothing different to the reasons I said the standard base game ending was. The only difference is a hand hold presented in the best way. He finally has a creation genuinely enthusiastic and willing to serve him and being her creator and father gives him a lot of pride for being the one to create her and make her that way and his success and pride in doing so with the ways she benefits him and values his selfish desires are what his value is factually rooted in in the game.
So overall yeah, I really like how Eggman and Sage and their dynamic were handled in this update. They'll probably be a lot more in depth thoughts to come because I'm short on time right now, this is a mini essay in itself but l have tons more like always lol. But for now, since nobody seems to understand my take on their dynamic despite me just relaying what the game itself showed and repeating what Ian Flynn says, let me just remind you of my actual summarized take on how I see it is and how I cleared up misconceptions people have about my take on it here.
And everything we saw in this update aligns with and doesn't contradict any of what I've perceived and analyzed and discussed throughout my Sonic Frontiers tag on my blog! Very pleased. 👏

New Girl on the Pitch Ch. 3 Charity Benefit
Pairing: Rebecca Welton x f!reader
Summary: Your friend Keeley brings you in as the team's social media manager, Rebecca is impressed, in more ways than one.
Words:
Warnings: 18+ minors DNI
Tags: flirty, fluff, slow burn
Notes: Chapter 3, this one is longggg hehe
Tumblr media
You walk into the office carrying more stuff in your arms than usual, the annual charity benefit is tonight and you won't have time to go home and get ready. Along with your usual work bag, you have your dress, draped in plastic, the box with your new heels in it, your makeup bag and another small bag filled with your supplies to do your hair. You have a long day ahead of you including trying to organize the teams social media accounts, as well as promoting the charity benefit throughout the day.
You hang your dress on the back of the door and put your stuff down and pull out your laptop. You post to the teams Instagram story hyping up tonight's musical guest Robbie Williams and go to check the other accounts. Your phone rings and you see "Higgins" pop up on the screen.
"Good morning Higgins!" You say as you pick up the phone.
"Good morning y/n." He says nervously.
"Is everything okay?" You ask, picking up on his nerves.
"Well, uh, yes, actually, well, um, so," he stammers.
"Higgins, what's wrong?" You're concerned, but you can't help but find his demeanor adorable.
"So I saw the post about Robbie Williams.”
"Oh shit did I spell his name wrong or something?" You go to check the post again.
"No, no, it's more like, um, well he just called and isn't able to make it tonight."
"Oh shit."
"Oh shit is right. So um, I'm on my way to tell Rebecca and-"
"Oh god she doesn't know yet?"
You hear Higgins gag over the phone "Uh, no, not yet."
"Do you want me to meet you by her office?"
You hear a sigh of relief on the other end "Yes, that would be good. I'm walking up to the building now."
"On my way."
You hang up, grab your notebook and head up to Rebecca's office. You see Higgins walk through the doors and you give him a wave. You feel so bad for the man, Rebecca fucking hates him, you don't understand why because he's so sweet. She might kill him after telling her the news.
You both walk up the stairs and Higgins takes a deep breath and turns to you, you give him a thumbs up and he walks straight into her office, you're taken back by his sudden burst of confidence.
"We have a huge problem, Robbie Williams canceled."
You walk up next to him and Ted and you see Rebecca, her hair pulled back, donning a grey fleece bathrobe, cringe with anger.
"Oh no, who is that?" Ted asks and looks over at you. You shrug your shoulders in an "I don't know" and he nods his head at you and turns his attention back to Rebecca.
Rebecca tells Higgins that he is going to be the one who finds someone else to replace Robbie. He says something about being a "world-class problem solver" as he tosses his phone up in the air, catches it, fumbles it and grabs it between his fingers before it hits the floor.
"Nice catch" You say with amusement.
Ted compliments Higgins and tells him Rebecca is grateful for all of your hard work as she looks over at him, she doesn't have to speak, from her body language alone you know she's saying "what the fuck?" to Ted. Ted turns around and looks at Rebecca's expression, he continues to smile at her as she turns her attention back to the rack filled with beautiful, expensive gowns. You feel a little insecure knowing you bought your dress on clearance at ASOS as you look at the gowns hanging in front of you.
"Ted I really am busy." Rebecca says to him as she pulls out a dress, analyzes it for a second, frowns, and puts it back on the rack.
"Okay we'll I'll get outta your hair. See you tonight!" He turns around and walks out.
You feel a wave of awkwardness wash over you as you realize it's just you and Rebecca left in her office. You watch her comb through the gowns, tea cup in hand. Even in a bathrobe this woman's figure is incredible. When you wear a bathrobe, you look like you're wearing a literal potato sack. "Rupert is a fucking moron" you think to yourself.
Rebecca looks over at you and back at the rack.
"Is there something I can help you with?"
"Oh, uh, yeah, so before I heard about the Robbie situation, I put up an Instagram story advertising him as our musical guest. So, should I take it down?"
"Oh shit." She says as she walks over to her laptop. "How many people saw it?"
You check your phone and look at the viewers.
"200 people."
"Shit. Uh, just, leave it up, fuck it. We'll figure something out later."
"Once we get a new musical guest I can advertise them instead and do something like 'we have a surprise musical guest!' and just say whoever it is and put in small font all the way at the bottom that Robbie had an emergency and had to cancel and we wish him the best. Or something like that."
"Yes! Good! Perfect we'll do that."
Rebecca is definitely not herself, she's been talking fast, has been hyper and fidgeting like a child bored at school.
"You okay?" You ask.
"Me? Yes. I'm absolutely fine. I feel quite mellow actually."
She is the actual opposite of mellow right now.
You turn your attention to the rack and look at the dresses.
"Do you know which one you're gonna wear?" You ask her.
"No, I don't know, I might not wear any of these, I might wear something entirely different." She sounds like she's spiraling a little as she goes through the rack again. One dress in particular catches your eye. You gently take the hanger off of the rack and hold it up.
"What about this one?"
You hold up a beautiful black and gold gown, you can tell just by looking at it that this dress would perfectly, and tastefully, show off her gorgeous hourglass figure.
"Oh, no," she says shaking her head. "I don't think I can pull that one off anymore."
You can't help but let out a laugh that takes Rebecca by surprise.
"Are you serious?" You ask her. She begins to stumble over her words when you interrupt. "I think that's insane that you think that, you can absolutely pull this one off."
You can tell by the way she looks at the dress that she loves it, but you see an insecurity behind her eyes.
"If you don't want to wear it, that's fine. But if you don't wear it because you 'don't think you can pull it off'" you say imitating her voice in a terrible British accent. "I think that would be nuts. I think you'll look amazing in this dress." You say as you hold it up and admire it.
You look over at Rebecca, who's looking at you, with surprise and amusement on her face. Between you being honest and telling her you think she's nuts and imitating her voice, she's a little taken back.
You return the dress to the rack, a little embarrassed.
"So, I'll see you tonight." You say with finger guns, you immediately regret doing that and drop them. You look down at your hands and back up at her, now you want to crawl under a rock and hide.
"Okay, uh, bye." You spin on your heels and head out the door, "finger guns, what the fuck." You say to yourself as you walk out.
"See you tonight." Rebecca responds, you notice she has amusement in her voice this time, a welcomed change, if you didn't just completely embarrass yourself.
Rebecca watches you leave and hears you say under your breath "finger guns, what the fuck." She has to hold her laugh in as she looks you up and down as you walk away.
The day comes and goes and it's time to get ready. You pull out your arsenal of cosmetics and do your makeup, praying to the makeup gods that it turns out half decent. You finish your makeup and fix your hair, you pin one side back and let soft curls fall to your shoulders. With your hair and makeup done, you grab your dress and shoes and get changed in the bathroom.
You stop and look at yourself in the mirror after you change, admiring your dress. Red usually doesn't look great on you, but this shade is almost perfect. You appreciate how the strapless dress shows off your collarbones but has just enough lift to make your boobs look nice too. You fix the gold necklace you also got from ASOS and look down to see your toes and gold heels peeking out from underneath the floor length dress. You take a deep breath and grab your stuff and go to leave.
You walk out with the plastic, your clothes from the day and the shoebox in your hand and walk past Ted.
"Woah there someone call Tyra because we got Richmond's Next Top Model in the building!"
You lightly blush "Thank you Ted."
You throw your stuff in your office and grab your purse and head out to the benefit. You walk towards the crowd of photographers as you make your way to the red carpet. You see Keeley, looking beautiful, as always, and Jamie. He is handsome, but he's so immature, you roll your eyes as he opens his suit jacket, further confirming he was not wearing a shirt and touches his nipples. You get to the entrance of the carpet and see Rebecca, she wore the black and gold dress and goddamn, does she look good. The way that dress hugs her hips makes your mouth water. She looks nervous as she whispers to Keeley. She poses and rushes off of the carpet. You make your way on, pose awkwardly, you've never had to do this before, and head in.
You're greeted with a glass of champagne as you walk through the doors, which you happily take and start drinking. You make your way over to the seating chart and go to turn and find your table. As you turn you see Rebecca out of the corner of your eye and redirect to turn towards her. She looks like she stopped in her tracks looking at you. You see her eyes wander up your body and meet yours. She looks both surprised and embarrassed so you try to cut the awkwardness down as much as you can.
"Hey!" You say, walking towards her, pretending you didn't notice her checking you out. "You wore the dress!" You gesture to the dress and look her up and down, fuck she's so hot.
"Yes, I decided to take a chance." She says, sipping her glass.
"Well, it certainly paid off."
"You look amazing too." Gesturing to your dress.
"Oh, thanks, it's not designer or anything, but I got a good deal and it wasn't the worst dress I tried on."
"Where did you get it?" She inquires, looking intrigued.
"Uh," you think for a second about lying but you can't come up with another place fast enough. "ASOS."
"Huh" Rebecca looks a little turned off at the mention of it. You two live in completely different worlds. "Well you look beautiful." She says with a smile.
You thank her and head to your table, you're seated with Ted, Beard, Nate, Keely, Jamie and Roy. The vibe at the table is tense to say the least, Jamie and Roy fucking hate each other. You and Keeley chat as the room goes quiet and the night begins. You quickly shoot Higgins a text to see if he's found anyone yet and all you get back is "☠🙀" Yikes.
Rebecca takes the stage and begins her opening speech, she makes a joke about herself and you see Ted give her a thumbs up. As she mentions the auctioning of the players her speech is interrupted by a voice in the back of the room. You all turn and see an older gentleman in a white suit and a shit eating grin. You turn back to see Rebecca, surprised, and a little embarrassed. She shakes it off well enough for the rest of the audience not to notice and introduces Rupert to the crowd. You can tell by his attitude, Rupert is an asshole. He's insanely cocky, full of himself, and kind of a dick. It amazes you that Rebecca married him, no less stayed married to him for 12 years.
The speeches end and the mingling begins. You're standing near the bar talking to Ted when Rebecca and Rupert walk up.
"Ted, y/n, I'd like to introduce you to Rupert Mannion."
You both shake his hand "Please, call me Rupert." as he winks at you. You feel your face twist into a disgusted look but quickly stop and you look over at Rebecca. A little jealousy, and a lot of insecurity crosses her face as she looks at him. Small talk ensues, Ted makes a joke that Rupert laughs just a little too loud at and pats his shoulder. Rebecca drinks her champagne and Rupert makes a comment about how she should slow down. Her face drops at his words and your heart breaks a little for her; he knows how to get under her skin, and he loves it. Rebecca offers for him to run the auction and after putting up a fake fight, he agrees. She goes to walk away and he makes a comment about her dress, how it looks 'youthful' and congratulates her for 'getting back out there'. You can tell his words cut her like a knife.
Just before Rebecca walks away Rupert turns and grabs someone by the arm.
"Ah, there you are."
You turn your attention back to Rupert and freeze, you almost drop your glass as Chris stands next to Rupert.
"Rebecca, darling, before you go, I'd love to introduce you to someone."
Rebecca turns back around and sees Chris. She scans the group quick and see's the familiar look of heartbreak on your face.
"Rebecca, this is Christopher, a brilliant marketing strategist."
Rebecca smiles and shakes his hand.
"Chris," Rupert continues, "This is Ted, and -"
"Y/n, how have you been?" He leans in and kisses you on the cheek, you feel your face get hot as his lips make contact with your skin.
"Oh I didn't realize you two knew each other." Rupert says with a little too much enthusiasm in his voice.
"Yeah, y/n and I go way back." He says with a cocky smile.
As much as you want to deny it, you miss him. A lot.
"So what are you doing-" you begin to say before you get cut off.
"Darling," you hear as long, manicured fingers wrap around Chris' arm.
Just when you think things couldn't get worse, you see Isabella appear next to Chris.
"There you are." She says sweetly into his ear.
You feel your heart drop into your stomach as you look at her. Tall, beautiful olive skin, thick, dark curly hair, beautiful hazel eyes and a smile that would light up the darkest rooms. She is stunning, there's no doubt about that.
"Isabella," you say as she walks into the group.
"Oh hello, how have you been love?" As she leans in and kisses you on each cheek.
"Good, good."
"Well would you look at that! I wasn't expecting a reunion!" Rupert exclaims looking directly at Rebecca.
"How do ya'll know each other?" Ted asks, clueless.
"Well, I did some social media campaigns for Isabella," you say "and Chris-"
"Y/n and I go way back." He cuts in. You glare at him.
"Chris and I actually dated for,” you take a purposeful pause “six years, was it?" You ask looking at him.
"Yeah, something like that." He says as he laughs off the slight embarrassment.
"And a congratulations is in order!" Rupert interrupts as he grabs champagne glasses off of a waiter passing by and hands them to Chris and Isabella.
Both you and Rebecca look at him, confused, and a little on edge.
"Chris?" Rupert gestures to him.
"Oh yes, well Isabella and I have an announcement-"
"We're engaged!" She exclaims as she holds up her left hand, a big, beautiful diamond sitting on her ring finger.
You feel the air leave your lungs, like someone just sucker punched you in the gut.
"Oh wow! Well congratulations you two, that's amazing. Young love, there ain’t nothin like it!" Ted says
"Yes, how wonderful!" Rebecca says with intensity in her eyes.
"Wow, I - I don't know what to say!" You begin. "And all this time I thought you didn't believe in marriage, and that it was 'just a meaningless piece of paper'" you joke as the group laughs.
"Well you know," Chris starts
"You never know what could happen when you find the right person!" Rupert interrupts.
"Yeah, I guess so" you take a sip from your glass. "I guess when you know, you know. I mean, you guys have been together for what, 6 months?" You down the rest of your glass.
"Well, I should go greet the other guests." Rebecca says, breaking the silence. "Y/n, will you come with me, we need pictures for social."
"Absolutely."
"Still doing social media? How cute." Chris says
"It was nice seeing you again Isabella." You say, ignoring Chris. "Congratulations again."
She kisses you on each cheek and you and Rebecca walk away.
You walk next to her in silence, stunned from what just happened. Without realizing it, Rebecca leads you up to the bar.
"You okay?" She asks as you stare into space.
You shake your head and snap out of it.
"Yeah, I'm good," You try to convince both yourself and Rebecca. "He's such a fucking asshole."
"Rupert?"
"No- well, yes actually, he's actually a huge asshole. But I was talking about Chris."
"He seems like a charmer." She says sincerely.
"Obnoxiously charming."
"Rupert was like that too."
You zone out again, reliving the heartbreak, thinking of Chris' smug face when Isabella announced their engagement, thinking about that entire interaction. You snap out of it when you feel a hand between your shoulder blades. You look over and Rebecca has her arm around you with a look of understanding in her eyes.
"Drink?" She asks
"Yes, like fucking six drinks please."
Rebecca orders wine and you ask for a shot, she looks at you, surprised.
"It's the first time I've seen him since he left, I gotta celebrate the occasion somehow." The bartender places the shot in front of you, you cheers with Rebecca and down it. She looks both surprised and impressed.
"I have to go talk to other guests. Are you okay?" She asks
"Yeah, I'm fine, go do your thing."
She walks away and you sit at the bar and order another shot. Keeley walks behind you and wraps her arms around you.
"I'm so sorry love, I can't believe that dickhead showed up here."
"Thanks Keels" You say, leaning into her.
"Fuck that guy!" She says as she hops into the seat next to you. "You look hot as FUCK tonight! We can't let him ruin your night!"
You laugh and pull her in for a hug. Even though she's tiny, Keeley gives the best hugs.
The auction begins and you go back to your table. Jamie is up first and an older woman bids, Keeley bids higher and they go back and fourth. Another woman pipes up and bids on Jamie, you look over and see a beautiful, young woman placing bets. You and Keeley exchange "what the fuck?" looks. Keeley and her go back and fourth and Keeley eventually wins.
A few players in, Keeley gets up to use the bathroom and Jamie waste no time going to flirt with the girl who bet on him. Keeley comes back and finds Jamie with the girl and is rightfully pissed. Roy comes up next for the auction and to your surprise, Keeley bids on him. You know it was to piss off Jamie, and it worked.
You head to the bar for more champagne and you feel someone slide next to you. You look over and see Chris.
"What do you want?" You ask looking forward.
"What's the matter? Can't we be friends?"
"No we can't be friends you asshole! Go away."
"With that attitude you're gonna have a hard time making friends." He says with a wink. "That's what's so great about Isabella, she's so kind, she has such a good heart, she's going to be an amazing wife, and hopefully a mom one day." He looks at you looking for the hurt in you eyes.
"Goodbye Chris." You don't give him the satisfaction as you grab your drink. You down it as you walk towards the exit, hand the empty glass off to a waiter and go outside.
The walk to the doors felt like it was a mile long, the closer you got, the more tears welled up in your eyes and the heavier your chest felt. You desperately try to hold your tears back until you get through the doors. You finally get outside and lean against the brick wall and exhale as tears fall from your eyes. Your breath shakes as you try to hold back sobs, conscious of the fact that you will have to go back inside and you don't want to cry your makeup off.
You hear someone softly call your name.
"Y/n?"
You turn and see Rebecca standing there, you didn't even know anyone else was out here when you walked outside. She walks over to you and gently puts her hand on your arm.
"Are you okay?"
You don't respond right away, you'd be mortified that your boss found you like this if you weren't so upset. You look up at her and notice that she had been crying too. You both stare at each other for a moment, exchanging a knowing look as she wipes away tears that fall onto her cheeks.
You're taken by surprise when she wraps her arms around you and pulls you into a hug, especially since she made a joke during her speech about not being a hugger. You wrap your arms around her as you feel her shaking breath. For someone who isn’t a big hugger, she gives amazing hugs. Her arms feel warm and strong around you, you can tell she needs this just as much as you do. You can smell her expensive perfume on her neck that immediately begins to calm you. Knowing that she’s probably feeling the same way you do right now, you feel safe in her arms.
You think about all of the shit that she's been through. Yeah your situations were similar, but you weren't married to Chris, he only cheated on you with one woman, and it wasn't plastered across every magazine and newspaper. What you've been going through feels fucking impossible, you have no idea how she's still standing.
You both pull away and you wipe the tears and mascara from under your eyes as she does the same.
"How the fuck did you do it?" You say, breaking the silence. "How the fuck are you doing it? Because this shit, is horrible."
She looks up and tries to blink tears away.
"You just do it," she tries to find the right words. "You just get up every day and do what you have to. Even when it hurts, even when you're scared," her voices shakes. "Even when you're scared that everything they said about you is true, you just have to do it." She looks away as tears fall from her eyes, her hand shaking as she wipes them away.
Without thinking twice you wrap your arms around her and hug her again. Rebecca is a little surprised but hugs you back. You feel her relax in your embrace, that last hug was for you, this one was for her. You hear a ding from Rebecca's phone and she lets go of you and checks it and sighs.
"I have to get back, are you coming back in?"
"I'll be there in a minute."
She nods at you with a little smile and goes back inside. You sit outside for a few more minutes and go back in. Keeley is visibly unhappy as Jamie seems clueless, or he just doesn’t care. The event continues and Rupert takes the stage once more to announce how much money was raised, and that he was making his own donation of a million dollars. "He's such a dick." You say under your breath.
Rebecca weirdly introduces the musical guest and some guy, that does not look like he belongs in the room, gets on stage. Ted comes back and you ask when did they find the musician, realizing you never updated the Instagram story.
"About three minutes ago."
You let out a sigh of relief knowing you didn’t fuck up as you listen to the musician, who was surprisingly, really good.
The event finally comes to an end and you walk outside and see Rebecca talking to Ted. She looks over his shoulder and you look to see Rupert leading the girl that bet on Jamie into his car with his jacket around her shoulders. You see Chris' car pull up behind Rupert's and he opens the door for Isabella. You walk over to Rebecca and you see Keeley walk out the door, juggling bottles of champagne and her bag.
"Do you want to go get like, really drunk?"
You and Rebecca look at each other and in unison say "Yes."
Keeley hails a biker with a cart attached to the back and the three of you squeeze in. You later learn its called a “rickshaw” when Rebecca and Keeley poke fun at you for your “Americanness.”
The three of you talk about how shitty the night ended up being, Keeley tells you she broke up with Jamie and you tell her you’re proud of her. You talk about Chris and what happened with Rupert and you start to get upset again. Rebecca holds your hand for comfort, her smooth skin is soothing and the warmth is welcome since your hands are pretty cold at the moment.
You look up into her eyes and her gaze meets yours. You’re not sure if it’s because both of you have been drinking, or because of your shared experience tonight, or all of the above, but for the first time you see the real Rebecca staring back at you. Her caring eyes look into yours, no anger or stress to be seen anywhere on her face. You see her lips curl into a smile as she looks at you with her beautiful green eyes. You could fall for this woman fast, and hard if you had the chance.
You hear the sound of a bottle shattering as you both look over and see Keeley, who looks surprised for a second but the begins to laugh hysterically.
“I tried to, toss the bottle in the bin” she says through laughs “but I missed, and, hit the side of it instead!!”
You and Rebecca burst out laughing along with Keeley. One bottle down, one more to go.
You guys ride around for what feels like hours until you get back to the building where the benefit was held. Rebecca tries to count her cash but ends up just handing the driver a wad of it as you get out. Keeley says her goodbyes as a friend of hers picks her up and leaves you and Rebecca there alone.
“How are you getting home?” She asks
“I was just gonna walk, my flat isn’t too far from here.”
“Well that’s certainly not happening.” She says.
She calls another rickshaw over and climbs in and you follow her. You give the driver your address as Rebecca texts her driver so she can get picked up.
The ride is short, but the alcohol begins to wear off, along with the warmth that comes with it. Rebecca notices how cold you get and she wraps her arm around you. You quietly chat about nothing in particular on the ride to your flat. The rickshaw pulls up and Rebecca asks to wait until her driver gets here and hands him another wad of cash. You’re surprised at how much cash this woman carry’s, and how she gives it away so effortlessly. You can’t imagine what that’s like given you practically live paycheck to paycheck.
You see headlights pull up behind you as Rebecca’s driver approaches.
“Alright, that’s my ride.” She says looking at you.
You look into her eyes for a moment.
“Thank you.” You say.
“Thank you.” She says back.
She doesn’t move her arm that she’s had around you for the whole ride, neither of you really want to leave. The rickshaw driver turns around and looks at the both of you and you go to get out.
Before your foot hits the ground you stop yourself and turn back into the cart. You look at Rebecca for a second and lean in and kiss her. She’s shocked at first and isn’t quite sure how to respond, but she quickly pulls you into her and kisses you back, hard. Her soft, plump lips on yours, they were stiff at first but now they’ve loosened up as she kisses you back. You grab a little handful of hair behind her head, trying not to completely ruin her up-do and you feel her do the same. Your heartbeat races as your lips continue to interlock, you feel her breathing get heavier. You gently suck on her bottom lip as a moan escapes from her mouth. You feel a wetness between your legs form as she moans into your mouth. You slide the tip of your tongue between her lips and greet hers. Your tongues dance around each other as she puts her hand on your waist and pulls you in closer. You slide one hand up the slit of her dress on the outside of her thigh and gently dig your fingers into her.
The makeout session makes your head feel like it’s spinning, there’s a good part of you that thinks you’ll wake up any second and realize it was a wild dream. The kiss slows as the two of you catch your breath. Your lips part and you look into each other’s eyes. You notice Rebecca gently bite her lower lip as she strokes your cheek with her thumb. You loosen your grip on her thigh and slide your hand down and rest it on her knee. You can’t help but smile as she gazes into your eyes. Rebecca pulls your face in for one more soft kiss. You feel her lips curl into a smile as they meet yours.
You part again and smile at each other. Another rickshaw passes and squeezes its horn and you both get distracted. You look at your driver, whose eyes are wide open and in shock. You and Rebecca giggle at each other and you slide out of the cart. Rebecca follows and leads you to your door.
“Good night, y/n.” She says gazing into your eyes.
“Good night Rebecca.”
She turns to leave and your grab her hand and pull her towards you. Her body spins into you and you’re faces are inches apart.
“One more, I’m greedy.” You say playfully.
“So am I.” She says with a smirk. She puts her hands on your face and pulls you in for another passionate kiss. You suck on her bottom lip once more and she moans into your mouth, your panties are soaked at this point. As you part she gently sucks and pulls at your lip and an involuntary moan escapes from your mouth.
You see a hint of lust in her eyes when she hears you moan. She holds you face in her hand for a moment and studies you. Your eyes meet once more and you feel like you’re floating. Rebecca drops her hands and looks at you.
“Good night.” She says
“Good night.”
She walks to the car and gets in, you open the door to your flat and the car pulls away.
You walk inside and kick your shoes off. You still feel like you’re walking on air. You kissed Rebecca, and she kissed you back. For the first time you don’t see her as your boss, you see her as a beautiful woman you would like to kiss again, and then some.

Liveblog 13: Episode 8, Pandala's Chichala
A very interesting episode for Joris's characterization, and the question of how much we can even trust Kerubim's stories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On one hand this thing really is impressive, on but on the other... Simone will be so mad when the giant sexy card sculpture falls apart, and she has to clean this up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Guy who reads into this show as if it were the bible voice) Do you think Joris is frustrated that he, as a 7yo boy has to do so much around the home? Do you think he has to answer the door a lot? Did Joris ever try to clean the dishes himself before Simone came around and fixed their home for them, — and if so, did Luis or Kerubim reprimand him for trying to make things better? Or did they not care? No wonder that in the movie, he says that Kerubim is a wreck and that their home is a prison, and that he h— [I am forcefully dragged away from the microphone and sedated]
Tumblr media
Yay use your son for word-combat with potential customers.
Tumblr media
She deserves better pay, between all the dishes and the cards.
Also, for our obligatory "pointing out food" moment: They are eating fish. That's all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kerubim shit parent moment 999: Keeping all the evil potions, poisons, and alcohol on the lowest possible shelf, as god intended 🥰💕
Tumblr media Tumblr media
12-14yo Joris, after Kerubim has died and turned into a kitten (hes meowing sadly, unable to stop Joris): I hauve to become an alcoholic. I can't do this shit anymore. Where can I—— THE LOWEST SHELF.
Really, this household is a nightmare, as I've pointed out in the previous episodes.
Joris has definitely, before the show, almost died multiple times (just like he will, yet again, almost die in the future episodes,) due to the random dangerous, poisonous, venomous, sharp and cursed shit Keke leaves lying around in places Joris can reach.
Keke simply saying "no" isn't going to like, fix how bad things are, to me. This is the bare minimum of parenting.
Tumblr media
It must hurt, to be treated like a kid all of a sudden — when Kerubim's main parenting tactic in day to day life is "we are Equals, and you are my most important person in the world, and I will tell you aaaall my secrets and gruesome stories (totally not censored because I don't want to traumatize you)."
Probably feels like rejection, or like being gatekept from something that would usually be okay to do (trying something that Papycha was just hyping up a second ago.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As I've said, his parenting tactic is just... "I trust you sooo much. We are Equals."
Which is good in some ways, but inevitably leads to some heartbreak along the way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering the fact that Kerubim later says that he was looking for ecaflip city to become rich and propose to Lou... Man he can't stop thinking with his cock even on his romantic quest for marriage. 💀
(This is an edit from future me: it is also just as likely that he has been searching for Ecaflip city for most of his life, — and that he started looking for it again, and more actively after deciding to marry Lou. This is the more charitable interpretation.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the not-so-many times in the series that Kerubim is around someone who can call out whenever he's lying.
As I've said, unless there is sufficient reason, one should take the events Kerubim presents as what happened, but, by god do we have a big gran of salt that we need to take into account.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kerubim's main reasons for lying in this show are, of course: 1. Being embarrassed 2. Censoring things that make him upset. 3. Censoring things that would make Joris uncomfortable, or that are age-inappropriate. All are very understandable, but still make him a very unreliable narrator.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the more fascinating micro-character arcs that are present in this show, is Joris's questioning of Kerubim's stories, and beginning to look at him as a person, instead of putting him on a pedestal, as he was doing in the first episodes.
This episode is its beginning. Until now, Joris didn't really know anyone who would question what Kerubim was saying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway,
Tumblr media
There's no fucking way he actually said that. I refuse to believe that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aaand one last hit of that "Kerubim Crepin is a LIAR who LIES" weed that drives me insane.
Tumblr media
He probably has a lot to think about, regarding his papycha.
Welcome to the club, Joris.

Ok here's the sskk/skk au (it's just hc's) (may or may not be inspired by @/inamagicalhallucination's famous no powers au)
Atsushi:
- can dance, yeah, but it's more like letting loose and jumping around idk
- like tapping his foot, bouncing his head, jumping in a circle that kinda thing
- it looks fun tho
- when he sings. Hmm. His voice would be like benson boone ig cause yeah
- but like. The vibe. Nicky youre-type songs but with really depressing topics
- like that one short he released with the 's-a-d overload'
- everyone loves him and he loves them back
- he likes being with people but not necessarily for the attention
- just like. Walking into a supermarket and saying 'OKAY PEOPLE IM PAYING FOR ALL YOUR GROCERIES' shit like that
- he's the type of singer who will either cling to the mic stand or jump around with the mic
- he interacts with the crowd at shows so much
Akutagawa:
- he can sing yeah it's pretty but it kinda hurts to so he prefers dancing
- his voice isn't as low as you'd think? Kinda scratchy tho
- keeps an absolute straight face while dancing. The ladies love it
- okay idk how to describe dancing styles but it's kinda like tense (in a good way?) slow movements and then sudden stops/starts/change in direction
- he's a contortionist btw
- yknow creeping - the weeknd? Yeah its like dancing to that
- or fever - enhypen that kinda thing
- stays kinda low to the ground like he'll be on his knees or crouching or bending over
- thinks atsushi has the best singing voice like ever (except for chuuya because shit??? bastard has talent everyone loves him)
Dazai:
- omg his voice can go super high. Like jason derulo/adam levine type shit
- also he has jason derulo vibes. Lots of love songs and ones about suicide
- everyone's lowkey worried about him but love him nonetheless
- LOVES the attention omg he feeds on it (and drags atsushi (and that means akutagawa too) everywhere with him)
- shinju shinju shinju
- absolutely loves collabs mainly because he gets views from a different audience
- super big on holiday specials
- will ruin chuuya's routine on stage. He will pull him close or trip him up or randomly kiss him
- oh yeah they're together but will deny it in the grave
Chuuya
- singing voice would have like takayan vibes but not as harsh like 'resentful life' that one yeah
- sings and dances about the same? Has his own title as a singer separate from dazai
- can sing just about any song except for slow ones
- uses his head a lot when he's dancing
- like flicks it from side to side or smth
- kinda like how dazai attempts to ruin his routines he ruins his singing
- he will incorporate moves where he like clings to dazai or strokes his face or smth idk
- their performances are very fun to watch heh
- very dynamic poses. Uses a lot of arm movements and doesn't like move from place to place unless it's one big move
- everyone loves the opening moves to his dances for some reason like it'll literally just be clapping and walking backwards or smth to hype up the crowd and it. Works.
- he sings along sometimes with dazai
Ok so
- akutagawa and dazai have been in the dancing/singing careers for a while
- chuuya is an experienced singer but only started dancing a couple years ago (dazai asked him to try and it spiraled from there)
- atsushi is pretty new to singing and has no dancing experience whatsoever he just wings it
- he met aku at a coffee shop because I live for references and they got to talking
- aku mentioned he was a dancer and atsushi was like really? Can I see? And it went from there
- 2S4K (their group name) didn't form until after dazai snagged a collab with sskk and yeah
- dazai knew atsushi for a while but only through tanizaki who works at a record company
- he (dazai) and akutagawa went to the same college (yeah aku was the quiet new dude who just followed him around)
- dazai and chuuya have known each other forever don't even ask
- i haven't thought about anyone else's roles much yet but I think fukuzawa and kunikida own a record label company which ranpo helps out at (he's still world's greatest detective)

So megumi is a prodigy, has a technique that can match the six eyes and on top of that is resistant to sukuna such that he could become a cage for him. I can see why people are saying that he's more of a mc than Yuuji, this is the kind of thing a protagonist gets. But I also know that not everything has been revealed related to Yuuji and I've no doubt it will be good. I still can't help but be miffed about the megumi thing tho. On one hand, I love Yuuji the way he is and his growth and development, on the other hand I want him to be special like the other MCs or maybe I should say more special than megumi. I don't know if that makes sense. Anyway, megumi stans are being really annoying right now and I'd be happy to see him dead even though I know he won't be. I like megumi but I don't make a big deal about deaths, I'm more interested in seeing how the story progresses and how it'll affect Yuuji.
Yeah, I can totally relate to that feeling. I guess Sukuna does say that the cage thing only applies for one finger and we've seen curses swallow fingers and contain them, so controlling cursed energy does seem to make you more resistant to it, but together with everything else it does feel a bit tired. It clearly doesn't make him as resistant of a vessel as Yuuji, but it's very "oh yeah, of course he could suppress (low-level) Sukuna too, why not..."
I'm honestly happy that Yuuji isn't a special/chosen one type mc like that though because MCs like Naruto or Deku who are seemingly good at everything and are showered in gifts are boring. Megumi is better written than those two (and Yuuta), but I think his blessed/destined one thing is part of why he was never that interesting to me, only in regards to how he relates to Yuuji & Tsumiki. And Yuuji is actually quite gifted too. He has been studying jujutsu for barely half a year and is already able to use multiple Black Flashes. He is exceptional, it's just that he only recently started learning, unlike Megumi who has been trained by Gojo since he was 6. But fandom likes to ignore that. Megumi's power progression has also been quite steady compared to his level of experience. Outside of Yuuta and maybe Maki, nobody ever received some crazy sudden power-up, but Maki has been foreshadowed since Vol 0 and she still had to learn how to handle those new powers. I wouldn't want Yuuji to just whip out a technique out of nowhere and be instantly good at it. That would just feel unrealistic. There is far more focus on his mentality than with Megumi and he has a lot of internal development. For me, he's perfect how he is developing right now, but I get that to the average shonen fan who wants flashy fights and power fantasies, he must be pretty boring.
Sukuna is bold and chaotic and causes a lot of destruction and death, but Kenjaku is the villain who actually moves the story along. Without them, Sukuna wouldn't even be around. By being related to them, Yuuji is automatically more of a main character than Megumi. The story follows his internal struggle and development, which is why most of the events are implemented to have some kind of profound emotional impact on him (Maki is seems to be the only exception, so I'm curious where that leads). Kenjaku moves the story along to push Yuuji towards some unknown goal and by having this connection, it makes them the main protagonist and antagonist of the story. Sukuna and Megumi's relationship is important too, but their actions still serve to trigger a change in Yuuji, which is why Megumi could never be the main character.
It is really annoying that some people in the fandom don't seem to see this and just throw Yuuji aside for being "weak". They'll hype up his Shibuya fight against Mahito, but then turn around and be like "all he does is punch, so boring". In his fight against Higuruma he doesn't even have cursed energy for the majority of it and it's still considered one of the best fights in the Culling Game. He doesn't need some six eyes worthy powers to stand out. Those people also seem to be under the impression that he's now no different than when he left high school because Sukuna isn't inside him, even though the majority of his strength didn't come from him. It helped against Mahito because of the soul thing, but the rest of his skills are his own and he doesn't just lose them because Sukuna is gone. It doesn't seem like Sukuna took his cursed energy, which I've also seen speculated. I don't know how that would even be possible, but it doesn't look like Sukuna is interested in that. He's fully on the Megumi train, Yuuji doesn't matter to him anymore. People give Yuuji shit for being punched through some buildings, but if it had been Megumi in his stead, he wouldn't have faired much better.
So yeah. Even if these events trigger a cursed technique in him, Yuuji is probably not gonna instantly master it and that's fine. Still remember reading Vol 0 for the first time and rolling my eyes at Yuuta just copying Inumaki's technique and using it better than him with no build-up and pulling reversed cursed technique out of his ass when it had never even been mentioned that that exists. I don't need that for Yuuji. I think it's okay if the main character isn't the strongest or close to the strongest person in the story by the end. Being the strongest was never Yuuji's goal anyway, just enough to save the people he cares about, but that's clearly not meant to happen, which makes it all the more interesting. Megumi (or Sukuna now) and Yuuta can throw their power around as much as they want, Yuuji is gonna progress at his own pace. He's still special, just in different ways than them.

Not to be cynical about it - I am aware this isn't Louis related - but Zayn's sudden interest in 1D. I think his PR team knows that him "talking about 1D in a positive manner" will get all the press he needs without him having to do interviews" After what I have seen everything from 2010, was a fan for a long time, it is so hard to believe anything we read, unless we have heard from their mouth. And with Louis in April 2024 about Larry, it did generate hype, I can understand why the question was asked just before he left LATAM, he has no radio support, media doesn't write anything good about him, his PR sucks comparatively. I think without industry support and the need to stay relevant - "it is only right to bring up 1D". I think deep down they know no matter what 1D will always outshine them. Zayn has Khai now he is performing live after 8 years. He needs an audience, mostly everyone knows him from 1D. Or maybe genuinely he must have changed as a father. 1D is their biggest boon and bane.
We all know of Zayn's bittersweet past with 1D. Zayn and Louis mentioning 1D during their "pivotal point" of their careers and *Harry Styles* completely cutting off from them, not mentioning their names, blacklisting questions, having articles written about without any mention of the band, backed by Azoff, Rob Stringer, Ben Winston, tell you about the industry. It also tells you who was planning it from first, how they played into the superiority complex of H. See, Louis played for a crowd of 25000 people and I had to search for the article written about it but Zayn's mention of 1D was already on my feed.
Yeah, 100%.
The history of the One Direction boys really makes cynics out of music fans— especially in our digital era, where the people who control the streams control the money.
It’s not fans “being bitter about flops” when the evidence is crystal clear, and one would have to be an idiot to keep perseverating about talent being the determining factor.
The fact is that One Direction is their claim to fame, and will always be. This is the reason why Harry performs What Makes You Beautiful (the representative 1D single) and why he drags out One Direction when he gets bad press.
A side note: I’m very surprised that Zayn has recently said he doesn’t want to perform R n B live, that he associates it with a dance routine and he “just wants to sing.” I’ve always said that I’ll hear Zayn sing anything live— I’d fly across the country to hear him in person. But I think he’s brilliant with R n B, so I’m kind of disappointed to hear him say it.

You mentioning Game of Thrones season 8 is other undisclosed trauma.
I don't think I cried this much when Sirius Black and Dumbledore died.
Game of Thrones was other disappointed. I just hate how the writers build up the hype from the beginning and they just let it ruin without any legit context.
Gege did one thing I never liked about writer that is to take away key character from the plot. Whose importance to whole story is indisputable.
My mind is numb at this point, I just don't wanna think about it. So I'm avoiding it.
Thanks for Another level, at this point that is my canon and I have a good cry after re-reading it since yesterday. To be honest I'm re-reading all of my favorite Gojo Satoru's fanfic.
I can't wait for Professor au, being in academic myself it's very exciting to see an au of the same field❤️
OKAY.
So here's the thing. Kiko is about to fucking RANT.
So it's below the cut 🙃
I didn't ever watch GoT. But I saw what happened and absolutely hated that it felt like reverse character development for the sake of time.
My best friend and I have had conversations about character deaths and the impact they have a lot. Here's the thing that I feel JKR did very well: death. She covered death so well in Harry Potter. None of the deaths felt meaningless or like they didn't fit. Sirius had to die in order for Harry to become the man he became. His death was something that was devastating and we felt the pain with Harry. But it drove the story forward, genuinely. Dumbledore had to die in order for the climax to happen. Because the entire fucking point was that Voldemort was afraid of Dumbledore. His death, the way it happened, how powerless Harry felt, was so well done. People can hate on JKR as a person all they want, but she is an incredibly skilled and talented storyteller. She shaped an entire generation of book lovers. And she did a very good job.
The Harry Potter series was well-paced and just well-written. And I had many friends in grad school who were getting their MAs and PhDs in literature because Harry Potter put them on that path to loving reading.
It's also not just Harry Potter. Not to be a JKR stan, but her detective series is actually very good. It's tense and it's got a will-they/won't-they romantic undertone. For every single book of that series, I actually haven't been able to figure out who the killer is before it's revealed in the end, but it always makes sense. That is such good writing.
Gojo's death felt sudden and like it will stunt the plot instead of help it grow. None of the kids are ready to fight Sukuna. Not a single person there could beat Gojo in a fight, so why are we supposed to believe that they'll be able to beat Sukuna? As much as I adore Yuuta, he's not ready to face Sukuna. Yuuji sure as hell isn't ready, but I can see them pulling some dumbass protag bullshit to make him ready. Hakari and Yuuta together might be able to kill Sukuna. But Gojo had the best odds and looked like he was beating the shit outta him.
But what do I know? I'm not a sadistic asshole who enjoys breaking fans hearts 🙃
As for academia in Physical Paradox: I will say that it isn't going to be as dramatic as real academia 😂 I spent a few years in it, and while I enjoyed aspects of it, academic politics made me want to burn the entire campus down. There will be some dramatics, but they won't be as extreme because this is a fluffy AU where everything works out in the end because I say so 😬🥹

With all this posting about Cal, Its time for:
CIRRIS' RELATIONSHIP WITH THE NINJA!!
+Pronoun headcannons
Cirris: (He/They/Cloud/Fogself)
Arin (He/they/+Neo's): Sees him as a younger brother! Understands his hype around meeting the ninja as they also grew up in ninjago!
Sora (She/they/Kitself): Sora is quite interested in their research, so they end up talking a lot! Cirris realy wants to know how her EP works, so they train together a lot!
Wyldfyre (Doesnt know, Doesnt care): Slightly scared of them... Tries to keep them calm, but there have been a few too many close encounters between her and Cirris' Research...
Euphrasia (She/him): They bond over their air-based elements! they often have races while training -Cirris on his cloud and Euphrasia propeling himself- they have fun! Euphrasia was also the first to catch on fogs need to have breaks, due to their flare ups.*
Lloyd (He/They): Lloyd tries to keep them safe, He did promise Vania and Ash! Though he did get annoyed for not realising Cirris needed time sometimes*... But Cirris thinks hes pretty cool!
Kai (He/Him): Tries to help Cirris with their confidence. Cirris just thinks he's pushy. He's still pretty cool in fogs eyes though! Ash told them about how strong he was when they fought, so they have alot of respect for him.
Nya (She/Him): Lets just say... Samurai X has a fan... Cirris has alot of respect for her! he looks up to him alot! but does get slightly spooked with her sudden changes in emotion... Cirris dislikes unpredictability.
Zane (Any): is good to bounce ideas off! She helps alot with his research! They tend to sit in the same room as her, just incase they need someone to bounce stuff off of or to explain something to him.
Cole (He/They): likes drawing with him, and they have similar tastes in music! Cirris likes how easy it is to talk to him. (It helps that Vania, the Munce and the Geckles speaks the world of him!
Jay (He/They): Who? Never personally met him...
*(Basic info on Cirris: Their ankles sometimes get painful! this means that sometimes they need to take times off training to heal up. -They can push through it, but it makes it worse-; they also struggle to stay on tasks that cloud isn't interested in)

I think I've mentioned it before but that's just why i couldn't enjoy the story as much as I could've. Just bc every time Jin says something like "do I deserve to live...?" I think, well, did all the people you kill deserve to live? Or when characters like Lars and Alisa being super friendly to Jin even though in TK7, Lars wanted to kill Jin, and Alisa literally cries at remembering what Jin did to her. It just felt super weird. And I did went into TK8 assuming they weren't gonna explain why Jin's suddenly good again and how people just came to become buddies with him. But I was still highly disappointed they didn't give that explanation.
As I've pointed out many times. in TK6, Jin just wasn't forced to do something bad because he had to or else the world would go bye-bye. But he was also just uncharacteristically cruel for no true reason. See this post where I literally show examples of pre-TK6 Jin with TK6 Jin and how they behave totally different. So the fact that Jin went from telling Alisa she's a "worthless piece of junk" and that he's glad she's gone, versus him showing gratitude for her protection is something that's noticeable in the story, and something that you will question. Because everything Jin did in TK8, I just remember TK6. TK6 left that much of a stain on the character.
So if they weren't gonna explain the sudden change in Jin's character, why he's suddenly good, why everyone supports him... they should've just gave it a quick retcon. Like it would've been much easier to quickly say "yeah Jin's body was controlled by Devil or Azazel and he wasn't actually responsible for any of his actions! Because of this, the other characters sympathized with him and now view him as a victim as well!" As I've always said, if they want Jin to still have That Guilt... he can! it can just manifest from his weakness and shame that somebody used his body to harm and kill.
Another problem is all the unanswered or unresolved things. Maybe I'm wrong, but I could've sworn they said they'll explain the source of the Kazama powers... they don't? Like Jun has the power to repel the devil gene and supposedly heal, but that isn't explain how. She gives Jin the power, but it isn't explained why the Kazamas have it - just that they do and it exists to protect the ones they love. Jun was another problem because they built up her hype regarding her return but she was barely in it other than for flashbacks and in Jin's head. it was only until the very end that we found out that she's, seemingly, still alive. The inclusion of Reina means this isn't the end of the Mishima or the devil saga. Many other characters didn't really get their resolve, either. Xiao did upon finally being with Jin. Jin did with learning to love himself and wanting to live. but characters like Marshal, Paul, Bryan, Yoshimitsu, Lili, Asuka, Jack... they're all stuck in the same loop they've been in for over 20 years now. The same ol' story of marshal needs money, Paul's an idiot who never gets to go far in the tournaments, Asuka and Lili still fight each other - we're STILL not told how Asuka is related to Jin, and Asuka STILL doesn't know of her power that was hinted in her noncanon TK5 ending.
Then there were things I was just... confused by. Azucena is a prime example. When I first saw her in the second story trailer, I thought she was gonna be an evil capitalist queen who isn't what she seems - similar to Reina, she seems like a fun girl, but in reality - she's evil, selfish, power hungry and will do anything for her goal, even if it means siding with somebody who's gonna kill millions. I thought this made her more interesting than the first impression that she's just coffee obsessed. But when we actually see her in the story mode??? She... thinks she's on the good side?! Like she starts talking about world peace and how she'll do anything for it, and then starts accusing Leo of being the bad guy??? Wtf??? How on earth could she believe that G-Corp are the good guys when Kazuya is literally threatening to WIPE OUT countries?! And then her and Leo just as a casual banter afterward?? Maybe I just misunderstood something here? I was kinda confused why Nina just... left the story, too lol. Like did Kazuya had her on a timed contract or something? Some fans are even still debating whether certain characters died or not lol.
I had problems with DJ's depiction (even if he's usually very entertaining before the uh... Saving Jin moment). But I already wrote my issues in a separate post and it feels redundant to repeat them here lol and that other post i reblogged already mentioned other issues i had, too lol
And I know that yes, Tek's stories are usually a mess and it's best not to focus too much on a fighting game's story. But like, when you're consuming a story, it's just hard to turn off your brain and ignore the glaring issues. Whilst I still enjoyed it, there were also a lotta things that were weird.

My experience meeting Big Time Rush
So let me first say I was shaking and super nervous so to see them and actually get to meet them. It wasn't even real till I was next in line. They told me to go in and the first member I saw was Carlos. He was super sweet and comforting when he saw how literally close to tears I was- he held my shoulders and was like "Are you nervous? No need to be nervous, we're right here, it's ok" I WAS NERVOUS CUZ U ARE RIGHT THERE, ITS NOT OK but I calmed down a little cuz man Carlos has a way with words. I looked over and saw James standing close by. I went with 2 friends so they were speaking with them at the time, but me and James made eye contact. The thing with James is he really tall. Like I'm 5'4 and bestie felt like he was 6'9 (he's not actually that tall but he felt like it at the time.) He is too pretty and I felt intimidated in his presence but like in a good way. He flashed me his bright smile and I almost started crying again cuz I never thought I would see it in real life. The show does no justice to his smile. So the next member was Logan. Now when I had initially walked in, I didn't see him. He was like in the back probably drinking water. It was time for the picture and all of sudden, mans came out from the shadows and placed himself right next to me. He looked at me with a gental smile and said "it's ok to be nervous" and then put his arm around me. I was in shock because Logan side hugging u doesn't happen every day. I was in shambles. Inside I was a mess but like I was trying hard not to shake so the Logan isn't freaked out but when I wrapped my arm around him I lost it. My eyes watered and I couldn't see straight, I probably look so ugly in the pics (I haven't seen it) but like yeah I was so close to sobbing in logans arms. After the pictures were taken, me and my friends were about to leave but I was stopped. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I was like "omg what happened" but in my head obviously. I turned around and Kendall was staring right at me. I felt like y/n in that moment ngl. Like I was taken back by the fact Kendall had stopped me. I then realized that I never actually spoke to him. It was magical. HIS EYES OMG HIS EYES WERE SO CLEAR. He has beautiful eyes and I just stared at them. I felt like I died and went to heaven cuz ain't no way his eyes are THAT pretty irl. I felt like he stabbed me with something right in the chest (me having a heart attack). It was a moment in time. He smiled at me and said something but like he whispered it. I didn't hear him well but I think it was along the lines of "nice meeting you, you guys looked nice." I think that's what I heard. I froze for a second cuz- ejjeksj he spoke to me hehehe. I freaked out for a bit then said thank you before catching up with my friends.
It was traumatic, I was shaking up until the concert started. Me and my friends cried on the way home it was fun lmao. Also I developed a crush on their opening act- Spencer Sutherland, mans blew me a kiss and like I will forever keep that in my heart. Go listen to his music, mans deserves the hype. That night was super fun and I 10/10 would recommend seeing them if you can. Like that was the best concert I've ever been to in a while 😭😭😭
