Chucky predictions
SPOILER WARNING FOR CHUCKY S3E5!
I wanna make Chucky theories so bad, but I can't think of any! This show is so crazy that I can't even predict or speculate on what could happen next. There are some people teasing on twitter though and all they've been doing is making me even more hyped for how this season is going to end. So here are some of my predictions based on everything that's been teased so far.
Jake will enter the spirit realm:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think he's necessarily going to die, but he's so fixated on ending Chucky for good to the point where he refused to run away from it all like Devon suggested. And we've heard the doctor, the only way you get to the spirit realm is by dying, but what if you didn't need to die? I believe that thanks to all the supernatural shit occurring there, the White House will become some sort of passage between the two realms. Jake will cross it to try and destroy Charles' soul, but if he will fail or succeed is still debatable...
Caroline helps Chucky get young again:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Jake fails in permanently killing Chucky, Caroline will come to the rescue. We know she'll be back, but what role will she play in this mess? When she'll return, all hell already would've broken loose and she'll just make it worse. Her sudden entrance at the White House will cause quite the emotional reunion for Lexi and her. Yet, Caroline didn't come alone. Armed with the Voodoo for Dummies book, sure, but she brought another friend, who's none other than the Good Guy Doll creator played by John Waters. He came with a new doll, a new vessel for Charles and with Caroline's newfound knowledge of Voodooism, she'll get Damaballa's blessings and give Chucky a new body, a new chance to not disappoint the almighty Iowa and if he plays his cards right, he might even become forever young.
Grant will survive:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't have any evidence to back this up, I just like him and think it's unfair that Lexy always has to say goodbye to someone she loves each season and I just don't want it to happen again. From a psychology standpoint it just desensitized her and would lead to her not getting attached to anyone else besides Jake & Devon next season, in fear of someone else always having to die because of her. And from a writing perspective it just gets repetitive, predictable and boring. So please Don Mancini don't kill him, also I love Jackson Kelly.
The past will haunt everyone:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Charles Lee Ray isn't the only ghost the Terror Trio will have to deal with in the newly supernatural possessed White House. We've seen the past of the Collins family haunt them time and time again, we've seen Henry talk about ghosts and fearing what they told him almost every single episode. Why would that stop at Joseph or Charles? Wouldn't it be horrible for our trio to be faced with the lives they lost thanks to a doll they couldn't stop? How would Jake react upon seeing his father again, disappointed at him for being gay. And Lexy, the poor girl, facing Junior, the boy she watched die, trying to save her... Not making at least one ghost of the past come back would be a wasted opportunity.
Tiffany will survive, but Jennifer's body might not:
Tumblr media
Tiffany's possible death has been brought up in every interview Jennifer Tilly made following the comeback of Chucky season 3. At this point it even became a ‘will they, won't they’ situation. Does Mancini really have the guts to kill off a cult favorite character and actress he loves so much? Or will we just say goodbye to seeing Tilly on screen and welcome only her voice? I mean the trailer kinda made it clear for me that this isn't the end of Tiffany's story, but maybe that of Jennifer's body.

The Hotel is basically Purgatory!
For context I was making a theory about how humans in the Vivzieverse may use Indulgence to get into Heaven until I noticed the similarity between Purgatory and the hotel and now I'm rewriting this.
A bit of history
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in the 16th century, the Catholic Church 'found' a way for people to undergo a less severe punishment than eternal damnation in Hell and called it Indulgence. Early on you had to perform a certain action to earn said Indulgence; like repeating a prayer, going on pilgrimage or just performing overall good deeds. Yet as time went by, folks were able to buy Indulgence. They became so commercialized that Protestant theologians made it their goal to abolish them ASAP!
The whole point of an Indulgence was 'to reduce the amount of time spent in penance' this was pretty vague, until the idea of Purgatory was introduced. Purgatory is defined as a passing state after physical death for purifying the soul to be let into Heaven. The souls in question were of those who died in the State of Grace. Despite popular believe it was more of a process rather than a place. But once it became one, it was associated with fire therefore you literally needed to boil the hell out of a person to make them holy. Purgatory isn't permanent in most religion who believe in it. Souls were only residing there temporarily, almost like another place that wants to achieve the same out come. I'm of course talking about...
THE HAZBIN HOTEL
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole fkn reason why Charlie made this hotel is so that souls could check-in in Hell and -out in Heaven. No one believes in that idea, such as how Purgatory isn't fkn canon in most big religion. Coincidence? I think not! This was intentional! The reason why Purgatory was never mentionned is bc of that's what the hotel is, Vivziepop's own interpretation of that passing state. The way Sera is refuses to support Charlie's idea is how Purgatory isn't accepted in most doctrines. Yet, Sir (Saint?) Pentious got redeemed.
The way I see it play out is that Emily would do anything in her power to get the word out that redemption is possible (sinners can be purified), but would be silenced by other angels such as Sera and maybe even Lute. And since Lilith will be back to try and put an end to this, the cast would have to go above and beyond to protect Charlie's dream. This could maybe happen in a fight and I could see it being interupted with a portal from a runaway Emily announcing that redemption IS possible, she'd be stopped by Lute for example maybe stabbing her and pushing her body in Hell, but at least they'd know that Charlie's dream is a reality. Fast forward a few months or less and way more sinners have turned winners. This would give Heaven no then choice than to officially accept the hotel and let it become a Purgatory for those who seek redemption and are ready to change.

Trying to overanalyze Lucifer's design
The Hazbin Hotel season 1 finale was fucking insane. I loved everything and especially Lucifer, whom I am dedicating this post to.
Let's begin with his "normal" form
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lucifer wears a ringleader costume bc Hell is one giant circus and he's the ringleader, but did you know that there's actually more to it?
A ringmaster, -mistress or -leader is like the opening act of a circus. They show you around, introduce the other acts and keep you hooked. They are essentially the glue that keeps the circus together. Another definition of a ringmaster, -mistress or -leader talks about an actual leader who leads a group of people, mostly through the act of doing illicit or unlawful activities. A role that would suit Lilith better than Lucifer. Sins could be seen as unlawful activities in Heaven's eyes and Lucifer is the cause of how evil found its way to earth, one could say that he was the one to lead the sinners in their sinful behavior in life. Yet, in death - if we go by Charlie's storybook - Lilith was the one leading the sinners to rise up against Heaven, another illicit activity that has led to their eventual doom.
Tumblr media
Luci also wears a top hat with his crown on top of it. The hat gives him some extra height so I doubt that he wears it for any other reason. His crown is mostly covered with a snake and a red apple on the side. The snake can have 2 meanings: 1) how the word 'seraphim' in Hebrew can be translated to 'fiery serpent', due to his six wings, Lucifer is likely a seraph. 2) he was the serpent that tempted Eve, although never confirmed in any religious text, this idea of him being that snake is really popular in every reiteration of that story. This would also be why there's an apple motive following the Morningstars. Now let's move on to...
Angelic/demonic form
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think what we are seeing here is his full angelic/demonic form, but considering that the other Princes' forms aren't as scary either it is likely the case. The first thing that caught my attention were the horns and overall resemblance this form has to Charlie's, but let's focus on the differences.
In the first image, the snake and apple have turned into some sort of halo, a nod that his actual halo has disappeared when he fell and unlike Vaggie his wings probably didn't get ripped off, but I do believe they were different to how they were when he was behind the Pearly Gates. He has a tail and horns, classic demon imagery, there are 6 eyes at the end of his coat and there's one more on his bowtie, which makes a total of 8 eyes on Lucifer's design. The eyes are a common returning motive in Heaven and with angels.Luci also has a flame in-between his horns. This honestly reminded me of Baphomet, but they would likely be a Candle head from the Sloth ring. In the Bible, fire is often depicted as the presence of God, but I'm a firm believer that Hazbin has a deistic God view (see my other post), so I doubt that's the case here. The fire was likely chosen because Hell is associated with fire and he's the king of Hell so they thought it would make sense.
Like father, like daughter
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As stated before, Lucifer and Charlie share a lot of similar elements. She's essentially him without wings and with longer hair. They both have a red sclera with a yellow iris. Their tail is pitch black with a heart cut out at the end and despite having white skin, Lucifer's arms are greyish. I always thought they were gloves, but no, man's face doesn't match his hands. I really like this shot of them right here, they look so badass!
Charlie also seems to be getting a new ability which has to do with her arm getting bigger and blocking Adam. This might be a callback to whatever was going on with her arm in her first design.
That was it thanks for reading <3

Mimzy's role in the show
WARNING: this post will contain leaked information, I'll be crossing them like this, but continue at your own risk
So, it's official, Mimzy will be joining the cast at the Hazbin Hotel. She appeared briefly on the trailer and will be voiced by Sarah Stiles, famously known for voicing Spinel in Steven Universe (the movie & Future). But who exactly is Mimzy and what will her role be in the show?
Tumblr media
Mimzy's name is a combination of the words miserable and flimsy. It has been stated that she has a diva like personality, she's egocentric, pompous and judgemental too. Mimzy has been a character of Vivziepop for a while with her first appearance dating back to the Zoophobia days. Back then it was announced that she died in the 1920s, had an ongoing thing for Alastor and a friendship between her and Niffty. Vivziepop even kept her character while developing Hazbin Hotel as its own thing. Her relationship with Alastor was pushed to the side and Mimzy was presented as being the IT GIRL of the cast. During 2017 development streams for the pilot, Vivziepop noted that Mimzy's entrance into the show was planned to mark a "turning point" in the season and found that she was an easier character to write stories for compared to Crymini or Baxter (2 other characters that are cut from the cast)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that you know a bit more of her backstory it's time to take a look at what role she's going to play in the new show.
So far we've only got one clip with her in it and it's from the official trailer. It's a 'blink and you'll miss it' type of moment. Alastor was seen defending the hotel from what appears to be Loan Sharks from the Greed who are attacking the hotel. Mimzy could be seen watching how Alastor slaughters them from a distance and has a pleased expression on her face. Initially, I thought that Mimzy was working with the Loan Sharks to bring the place down. Why would she do that? Maybe she was in debt and it was either that or double death and who would honestly choose double death? But once Alastor intervenes, she starts playing the damsel in distress, who was forced to do horrible things and begs them to please protect them. Charlie would see this as an opportunity to earn a new client and absolutely be happy to help. The others might be more sceptical about letting her live here, but Charlie would convince them wrong and let people stay at the Hazbin Hotel as a safe haven would gather more clients.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mimzy would then become a symbol of what the hotel could be and if she decides to change then it would be an amazing turning point for the show.
Tumblr media
Leaked/spoiled section of the post: Mimzy actually owes the Loan Sharks a lot of money and saw the hotel as a desperate last attempt at protection. She'll lie about her reason for staying at first, but once the hotel gets attacked, she has to come clean.

Does Hazbin have a deistic God?
Hi there! This is my first post on this platform and I would like to share a theory that I've had for quite a while now. I'm not a deistic myself, so if I got anything wrong feel free to correct me.
Now first and foremost, let me introduce you to the religion of deism: The belief in God based one reason rather than revelation, teachings or divine miracles. Deists believed that God created the universe and then left it so that it could evolve on its own. They were also convinced that the best form of worship was to do good for others, but the belief of an afterlife depends on person to person. Yet, they theoretically reject the belief in angels since they're seen as messengers for revelations. So in short; God is like a clockmaker analogy.
We don't know much about heaven, let alone God in the Hellaverse. Our first ever canon depiction of heaven was in Helluva Boss S1E4 and if you look closely in C.H.E.R.U.B.'s commercial, there's a poster which seems to be a quote from God.
Tumblr media
This poster promotes the idea that God might be a muppet and that heaven encourages people to use each other for their own benefits. It also doesn't help proving my point, but I just wanted to bring our first ever mention of God up.
Now, in Hazbin Hotel we've seen a couple glances of heaven, mainly through the trading cards, but none of the promotion material we've got seems to acknowledge the presence of God. One could argue that "we haven't seen everything", though it is true that doesn't mean that we can't theorize?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole extermination, the function of C.H.E.R.U.B. all sounds so cruel that you can't possibly think that God ordered all of that? If Hell is overpopulated, then make heaven more approachable instead of causing a mass genocide in Hell and Sera, she is a seraph, right? Seraphim are angels who circulate the throne of God and praise him/her/them. Now, what if God isn't there anymore? Who will they praise or protect? And since they are the highest ranking angels, what if they simply took over of heaven.
Everything we've seen of Heaven so far promotes that idea that God isn't there and has abandoned EVERYTHING to let it evolve on its own, to let the denizens of Heaven take over and run it. And humanity and denizens of Hell are the ones paying the consequences of it.
