saw a post the other day, can't remember if it was tumblr or reddit, but it was like 'picky eaters are always characterized as only eating fries and chicken nuggets. what about us picky eaters who only like things like sushi and tiramisu, we exist'
anyway that's human dream

You know, in retrospect, chicken chile with jalapeños and another soup that has green salsa in the ingredients were probably not the best things to make and eat right after getting a crown implant. (Maybe failed my wisdom saving throw on that one. Actually, are wisdom saving throws a thing in D&D? I’ve only ever actually played once.)

at 33 years old I still instinctively want all of my purchases to have a toy in them, and the good news is that my definition of 'toy' has expanded significantly, but the bad news is that I just bought a bunch of stuff for the kitchen but I don't immediately have any reason or excuse to play with any of it

Murus Flegit Porridge
or, as the game likes to shorten it when you first learn the recipe,
or おかゆ・ムルス・フレジト in Japanese, is the recipe you obtain once Shionne has learned to use the Tales of secret ingredient: Love.
This enhanced rice porridge is also a nod to the very first --criminally bland-- dish she prepared for Alphen, as they were still reluctant companions kept firmly apart by an invisible, but nevertheless high and prickly, wall.
And Murus Flegit sounds *quite* Latin right? As do several pieces of equipment (and probably other things I’m forgetting) in the game.
Murus simply means ‘wall’, but “flegit” doesn’t yield any results as far as I’m aware.
Now fregit, however, is the third-person singular perfect active indicative form of frangō, (thanks, wikipedia) which means ‘to break’.
So if you change the romanization to Murus Fregit, you get something which seems directly translatable from Latin.
The wall has shattered.

it's kind of funny to me, albeit very interesting, that I'm a very picky eater and yet have also become a locavore and something of a 'foodie' per se, I really enjoy food (and cooking!), and going to unique and sometimes upscale restaurants serving ~local ingredients~ and I really value a quality dining experience and learning the character of new places through their food. yet I got a 29 on that picky eater test lol

i rarely have the energy nowadays to make myself nice meals, but today i feel that i've discovered the true potential of the two-layered bento..... i am able to cram so many nutrients into this little box. there is no pressure to cram it all into a rice dish, i can just put last night's salad and some berries on the top layer. i feel like I’m on my way to become like a husband making work lunch for his second, cooler husband..... i have not fully utilized the potential of this container until now but it is so cool. i feel like I’m gonna end up buying those little cupcake liners the internet people do to separate things now (lol)
