REVIEW- Witchcraft Subscription Box by Alienscty.

My dear friend, @alienscty has a number of subscription box options currently available in her Etsy shop. I chose the “Faery’s” box.

Shipping was fast and free. All of the items were carefully and beautifully wrapped. The contents of the box smelled AMAZING and you can really feel the love and care that she puts into every order.

Inside of the box was an assortment of items, ranging from seashells and crystals to apothecary bottles and feathers. All of them perfect for adorning any altar.

Hi! Despite being a spoonie with several chronic issues, I am an avid hiker and spend a lot of time trekking through nature. I suppose it’s not very interesting, but it’s something I take pride in and brings me a lot of joy! I’m sometimes limited in what I can do if I’m having a bad flair-up, but I do my best to get at least a few miles in when I’m able.

The gnarliest but most rewarding hike I’ve done thus far is climbing to the top of Mount Humphreys in Flagstaff. At 12,633 ft, it’s the highest point in the state of Arizona, and on a clear day the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is visible from the top! 😀

2) When was the last time you cried? Unfortunately I don’t cry enough, it’s been too long. I really wish I could though, since it’s so cathartic

Mostly but not right now lol. I realized that I NEED to go out around town, even if I’m alone. 

Any event you were looking forward to that got cancelled?

I had my first reading for a publication that I’m in. It was cancelled a few days prior 

What movies have you been watching recently?

HA! Last night I watched 13 Going on 30. I forgot how great that movie is. Other than that I haven’t really been watching movies.

What are you doing for self-care?

I’ve been challenging myself to do some form of witchcraft and meditation each day. Sometimes self-care is when I feel like I accomplished something small. Going outside, doing a page of homework, writing a lot of shitty stuff. 

What shows are you watching?

Ok quarantine is weird. I watched like 3 seasons of Degrassi then stopped...then picked back up. I’ve been weirdly into Escaping Polygamy which is weird as fuck but basically it’s helping people escape radical Mormon cults. Of course, Vanderpump Rules. 

What music have you been listening to?

Oh god much more Hozier than I like to admit. Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers (yes I’m also writing poems about liking girls shut up)

What books have you been reading?

I just finished The Tradition by Jericho Brown. I fell off on my audio book of Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by Caitlin Doughty. Annnnd my favorite new poetry book...The Carrying by Ada Limon!

5) What’s the first thing you notice about people? Their eyes and their energy, how they move/stand too.

7) Scary movie or happy ending? Happy ending all the way ;) I don’t watch scary movies.

8) Any special talents? None, I am fairly good at everything, but excellent at nothing. Maybe listening. I am a great listener.

10) Hobbies? singing, dancing, reading, writing, tarot cards. 

11) Do you have any pets? Yes, I have a cat. Her name is Noirette. She’s so affectionate and lovely, I love her with all my heart.
