I think a lot about Leo’s tendency to push his way into the spotlight despite clearly being a natural in the shadows. Hell, you could argue that his worst moments are when he’s forcing himself onstage, and his best are when he does things no one notices until it’s already been done.

part of me knew this but at the same time I’m also just realizing that the keychains you get throughout the KH games are not just ‘oh sweet, upgrades’ that unlock new Keyblades or whatever. No, they represent the connections Sora makes in every world he visits. The people he meets, the memories he makes. Just like how irl keychains hold sentimental value, whether you pick them up traveling or someone gifts them to you or you just buy them because they make you happy. Either way, they mean something to you, and you carry them around with you everywhere. And when you think about how Keyblades are manifestations of people’s hearts — it makes perfect sense that Sora’s Keyblade would modify depending on the connection or memories he chooses to draw on, the keychain he chooses to use. “My friends are my power” indeed.

I'm not really sure where to find up-to-date main story translations, so opening it up to the floor for other people to chime in! for reference, the latest release in JP was episode 7 chapter 6 on December 11th, which covered 7-88 through 7-100. fingers crossed for more in February...but that's where we're at right now!
