Today been a hard day and I need drama! Eunji and her parents bring that almost every drabble day!
Request: Eunji’s parents finding out she’s married at 19 years old
Another anon also said: For my request, can we see Junior and Eunji official first meeting and Junior and him meeting her parents for the first time. Please and thank you! 😊
Warnings: super critical parents, unhealthy parental relationships lol
"Look who did it again!" Junior bragged as him and two of his friends walked out of their astrophysics class. "Best grade in the class once again!"
"Well, all of us aren't super geniuses," Seojun huffed.
"Literally. I studied for that exam for two weeks straight and still came out with only a 78%," Kwan agreed.
"Hey, either you have it or you don't," Junior smirked. "If you need me and my amazing 99% to tutor you, I'm available Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays."
"If anyone needs the tutoring, it's you," a voice spoke up and when Junior turned towards it, he saw what was arguably the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen in his life.
"Me?" Junior wondered. "Not to brag or anything but I got a 99% on that last exam. I'm sure I don't need tutoring, especially not from you."
"You sound very confident about that," the woman said and Junior scoffed.
"Why wouldn't I be when I'm the smartest person in the class?" He wondered and the girl smiled softly before she held up a small packet of papers, which Junior realized was the exam that they had taken. When he looked closer though, he was shocked to see a bright red '100%' on the top of it.
"What the fuck?" He uttered.
"See that name right there?" The girl wondered as she pointed to the top of the page with her free hand. "That's me, Kim Eunji, the one who's actually the smartest person in the class."
"Oh shit," Seojun laughed hysterically.
"Have a nice rest of your day," Eunji smirked before turning around and walking away.
"Who the fuck is that?" Junior spat.
"That's Eunji, she's pre-med," Kwan explained.
"Why the fuck is she taking astrophysics then?!"
"Maybe she's just doing it for fun," Kwan shrugged.
"Or to bust Junior's balls," Seojun snickered.
"Whatever," Junior muttered petulantly, his mind lingering on how beautiful Eunji was.
.......................................................
After that first meeting, Junior and Eunji had a small class rivalry which ended up with them becoming friends with benefits. Not too long after that though, they both fell in love with the other and at Junior's suggestion, went off and got married in Las Vegas once Junior graduated from college with his Bachelor's degree.
"Will you calm down?" Junior said as the two of them got out of the car and walked up to the front door of Eunji's parents house.
"Well, excuse me for being scared shitless," Eunji huffed. "We just got married last week and the first time my parents are going to be meeting you is as my husband."
"Are you scared of their reaction?"
"Terrified," she nodded as they stopped outside the front door. "You don't know my parents. We don't have the best relationship and they tend to find fault in any and everything that I do."
"Who cares?" Junior shrugged. "We both feel that getting married was the right thing to do, yeah?"
"Yeah."
"So if they get upset, we'll still be together, or at least I hope so," he joked, making Eunji laugh.
"Alright," she sighed. "Here goes nothing." After turning around and using her spare key to unlock the front door, the two of them walked inside and took off their shoes before Eunji called out to her parents.
"Eunji? Is that you?" Her mother called as she walked out to the front hall to greet them.
"Hi eomma," Eunji said, bowing in respect. "How are you?"
"I'm well," Jungah nodded. "Is this the mystery man?"
"Kim Myung," Junior introduced himself as he bowed deeply. "It's so nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you as well," Jungah replied. "Chul! They're here!"
"Here I am," Chul chuckled as he jogged into the front hall. "I heard Eunji's voice from upstairs."
"Hi appa," Eunji smiled softly.
"And this is the man who's distracted our Eunji," Chul chuckled as he looked at Junior.
"Nice to meet you Sir," Junior said, bowing once again. "Kim Myung."
"Come on in, you two," Jungah said, motioning with her hands. "I have lunch on the table."
Once everyone gathered into the dining room and began to eat, Eunji's parents didn't hesitate to start questioning Junior.
"So, Eunji tells us that you just got your degree in astrophysics?" Jungah said.
"I did and I start graduate school in the fall," Junior nodded.
"What's your end goal with that degree?" Chul wondered.
"I want to work for NASA someday."
"Really?" Chul muttered. "That's a lofty goal."
"I know but I've always been interested in science and math and particularly space so it feels right," Junior explained. "Plus, I come from a family that believes you can do anything you set your mind to."
"Speaking of your family, what do they do?" Jungah wondered.
"Both of my parents are in the music business," he said.
"Anyone we might know of?"
"Ah, Min Kinsley and Kim Mason," Junior revealed, and both Jungah's and Chul's eyes widened.
"Kim Mason that owns JWA Entertainment?" Chul wondered. "And who's the son of Kim Namjoon from BTS?"
"And Min Kinsley who seemingly produces every well known Kpop these day?" Jungah added. "And who's the daughter of Min Yoongi from BTS?"
"Ha, you guys know your stuff," Junior chuckled. "But yes, that's them."
"Wow," Jungah whistled. "How did the two of you get together?"
"We took a class together and I was bragging about having the highest grade, when in all actuality, Eunji did," Junior explained with a laugh. "We had a little mini rivalry at first but as we got to know each other, we fell in love."
"Bragging, were you Eunji?" Chul tsked. "I thought we taught you to not be so prideful."
"You're right, you did," Eunji nodded. "I'm sorry."
"Luckily for you, Myung here seems to be a good sport," Jungah huffed. "He seems like a good one so you don't wanna let him go, yes?"
"Yes," Eunji nodded. "But you know, I'm happy you guys seem to like him."
"I have to say, he's head and shoulders above the last bum you brought home," Chul sighed. "He already has a degree and is planning to continue his education even further. He treats you well and speaks highly of you. What more could we ask for?"
"I'm happy to hear that because we have something to tell you," Eunji said.
"You're not pregnant, are you?" Jungah deadpanned and Junior choked on the sip of water he was swallowing.
"No eomma, I'm not pregnant," Eunji snapped. "But we are married." Silence fell over the room then, both of Eunji's parents staring at her in disbelief.
"I'm sorry," Jungah laughed. "Repeat that please?"
"We're married," Junior spoke up. "We got married last week when we were visiting Las Vegas."
"Oh my god," Chul muttered, running his hands over his face in frustration. "What were you thinking?"
"What?" Eunji wondered.
"You're 20 years old, Kim Eunji!" Jungah exclaimed. "You haven't even finished your bachelor's degree and yet you go off and marry the first man who treats you decently?!"
"What are you going to do about school?" Chul demanded to know. "I hope you don't plan on dropping out."
"No, I'm not dropping out!" Eunji snapped. "I'm still going to finish school."
"How do you expect to do that now that you're a wife?" Jungah wondered. "You have to find a place to live, make it into a home, you have to work because the two of you can't survive on hopes and dreams, and if you plan on having children someday-"
"Uh, that's very far off into the future," Junior interrupted her. "Eunji and I both have goals that we want to achieve before we expand our family."
"I just can't believe you would be this irresponsible," Chul smacked his teeth. "And to marry this man before you even introduced him to us?"
"I swear, every time you start doing decently in life, you just have to go and do something to potentially mess it up," Jungah muttered. Eunji could feel the hotel tears beginning to well up in her eyes and instead of responding to her parents, she abruptly stood upon from the table and ran out of the room. Sighing heavily, Junior got up and followed behind her, realizing that she had ran through the kitchen and out into the backyard.
"Hey," Junior said softly as he set his hands on her shoulders.
"I'm sorry," Eunji whispered. "I just, had to leave before I said something I regret."
"I see why you've never talked about them much," he said. "Are they always like that?"
"Yep," she huffed. "I'm always the fuck up, the one who can never do anything right."
"I'm sorry Eunji," Junior said as he wrapped his arms around her now. "Nobody should ever have to go through that, especially not with their parents."
"Well, now you see why I was so emotionally cut off," Eunji chuckled ruefully.
"Yeah but you're not now, right?" He murmured. "And that's why we're here now, together and married."
"You're right," she replied, turning around so that she could look up at him. "I don't care what they say, I don't regret marrying you."
"I'd hope not," Junior joked, laughing when Eunji smacked his chest. "I love you."
"I love you too," Eunji smiled softly, moaning softly when Junior cupped her face in his hands and kissed her softly.

was rewatching fabian’s baron moment on account of it being the most delicious piece of pvp in my recent memory and ally beardsley’s growth as a player just shone through so brightly and with such clarity. after dusting off their shock they immediately asked about the nemesis ward, had enough knowledge about fellow pcs stocked to remember adaine’s ac with such like frustrated confidence and certainty, suggested to siobhan to dimension door out of adaine’s room, like. they came into this making a character with 4 dex. and now the dice deity offered to roll a check to sense if adaine was in danger. making decisions, asking questions, getting invested in the story, trying so hard with the tools they have to save characters from danger; ally beardsley is an incredible d&d player.

I got- I can't!
Imagine being 15, you've grown up your whole life with this one belief in this one God and you were told you were Chosen by Him, for Him. And you're 15. You believe so fully in the spirit of your religion, not necessarily the word, that you want to go to a non-religious school to try and help other kids maybe find your God because you genuinely believe that could be helpful to some of them, because it's all you know, and it's helped other strangers (human trafficking victims she helped in the black pit before) so why not other kids her age? You're 15 and all you can think about is helping others. And you start thinking about your religion, and reading books, and asking questions and you come to the conclusion that maybe your God and His Father aren't actually all that great. Maybe the church you're in has done some really bad things that you can't possibly make up for. Maybe that church is still doing bad things. And then you find out your family is actually in a cult for that God, not just part of the normal church, and you suddenly have to undo all the cult shit in your brain you were raised with, while that cult stuff you know about is actually useful to your friends, like having that knowledge is helpful for them! You're 15 and you stop going home. You have no real adult supervision or carer, just your other 15 year old friends.
Imagine you're 16, you're gay and figuring that out on top of navigating your first full romantic relationship and being the sole creator and cleric to a new God that you honestly find to be very two dimensional and empty. You're on a quest to find an evil being and stop them. You nearly die. Your friends nearly die. You're 16. You're 16 and feel something calling out to you, you know it's divine because you've felt that sort of pull before, but you've never felt one like this. You find memories and hints and pieces and you figure out that the evil being you have to stop, isn't evil, she's just hurting. She's hurt and She's a God. She's your God, and she's so happy to see you, and she has so many ideas, and so many hopes.
You're 17. You've spent your rest time (summer vacation) tearing across the world chasing down and defeating another evil thing that you and your friends accidentally released in the first place. Your God is with you, you have no time for Her. No time for anything but trying to survive and stay sane. You know She's disappointed in you, but you're one person -ONE PERSON- and you're 17. You missed your birthday. again. You've saved the world; again. You're so fucking tired -like always. You're Chosen, and alone, and have no idea what to do with your life, let alone your God. You aren't very good at school, but you go to every class. You're drowning as you try to rewrite your understanding of the world from what you grew up with, having no idea how to do anything without a book and godly hand to guide you. You only ever followed before, your new God is demanding you Lead. You don't know how. You're only 17. You see your horrible, abusive parents spitting abuse and racist rhetoric at your baby brother, who you haven't seen in two years, on the front steps to your school and for the first time ever you are filled with righteous fury. Your God answers your call, not knowing what you need but so eager to help, eager for your attention, she starts talking to you but you're busy -why can't she understand that you're fucking busy? trying to not die, trying to be safe, trying to keep your friends alive, trying to navigate a world that hates you, you're 17 and you're busy goddammit just wait!- and she snaps back at you and flees. The next time you see Her, maybe an hour later, She's got a creature with Her that nearly destroyed you and your friends last year sitting in her lap, so smug to see you again.
You're 17- no, 16- no, 15 years old and you're expected to build and carry the world on your shoulders, Chosen from birth, raised a lamb to follow a Shepard, not to be followed behind. You have no one and nothing and everyone expects everything and you can't back up, you can't pause because if you do someone dies and doesn't come back. You have to be a hero, a chosen, a saint. The steps behind you crumble to dust with each step you take forward and the new one is already cracking under your weight. There are only wrong choices. There's no hand reaching for you. God, you were taught, will save and guide you. God knows best. Why is your God looking to you, a mortal human, to be saved, raised and guided? You're a child.
You're just a child.
You just want to go home, wherever that is. You thought it was your God, but She's not exactly helping you out either, is She? She's just disappointed. Like everyone else. Like you.
You're 17. You think it would have been better to never do any of this. It would have been easier to stay, blind and naive. Sometimes you think you should have stayed in heaven. Sometimes you think about the God you killed by not being good enough for it. Sometimes you lay on the floor and stare at the ceiling and pretend you don't exist for awhile. Sometimes you work your body so hard you forget it's there and your mind shuts up and you exist without being you. Sometimes you wish you never asked any questions or read any books. You're 17, but sometimes you wish you were 15, with no idea yet.
You're 17. You wish you were good enough.

Honestly I'm kind of sad Henry is related to Reuben. Not because I think he actually has anything to do with what the rat grinders are plotting. But because he was the first teacher who was kind and supportive of Gorgug. We all know Porter is weird and intense with Gorgug and noaw the one teacher that seemed like he was on Gorgug's side has some sort of connection with Grix and the whole mystery. He was someone who had Gorgug's back and now Gorgug can't trust him.

Hola!!!! Drabble is going to be lit! So can we see Eunji finding out she’s pregnant with SoSo at one of her postpartum appointment. 😊
"Hi Eunji," Dr. Lee greeted her as she walked into the examination room, where Eunji was sitting patiently on the bed. "How are you?"
"Hi Dr. Lee," Eunji smiled. "I'm doing ok."
"And little Myung?" Dr. Lee wondered as she sat on the small stool and looked up at Eunji.
"He's great," Eunji nodded. "He's a chunky boy so he loves to eat so I feel like I spend most of my time these days just feeding him."
"Ohh, I remember those days all too well," Dr. Lee chuckled. "So, I know this isn't your first postpartum appointment but I still wanted to do a check in with you and see how you're feeling emotionally as well as physically."
"Well, I've been better emotionally than I thought I would," Eunji began. "I thought I'd struggle establishing a bond with Myungie because I've never really thought of myself as being maternal but I didn't have anything to worry about. I love him so much and I love being his mama."
"That's great," Dr. Lee nodded.
"Physically, the recovery was definitely difficult since Myungie was a chunky baby," she sighed. "He's almost five months old but I still don't feel like myself."
"That's typical," Dr. Lee said. "It can take up to a year for you to feel like yourself again."
"Trust me, I can't wait," Eunji sighed.
"Are there any concerns you wanted to address with me?"
"I was hoping that maybe I could explore some birth control options with you?" Eunji said. "Preferably long term ones."
"Sure, we can definitely do that," Dr. Lee nodded. "Are you thinking of an IUD or the implant for your arm?"
"Absolutely," Eunji nodded. "Though I love being a mom more than I though I would, I'm not looking to add anymore babies to the family right now."
"That's fair," Dr. Lee smiled. "Lets get you to produce a urine sample first and then we'll go from there, alright?"
"Ok," Eunji nodded. After peeing in the provided sample cup, Eunji waited for a little while before Dr. Lee made her way back into the room.
"So, something came up on the results from your urine sample and we won't be able to give you any birth control today," Dr. Lee began.
"Why not?" Eunji wondered.
"You're pregnant, Eunji," Dr. Lee announced and Eunji just stared at her for a few seconds before she burst out laughing.
"Good one, Doc," Eunji huffed. "Seriously."
"I am being serious, Eunji," Dr. Lee confirmed and the smile slid right off of Eunji's face. "I'd like to examine you so that we can see just how far along you are."
"O-ok," Eunji stammered and before she knew it, she was laying on her back while Dr. Lee inserted a small probe.
"Looks like you're about 6 weeks," Dr. Lee announced as she pointed to the screen. "There they are."
"Oh my god," Eunji muttered to herself as she looked. "I'm really fucking pregnant."
"Congratulations," Dr. Lee said.
"I'm gonna murder him," Eunji murmured to herself, silently planning out her husband's murder in her head.

if I think about kristen applebees too long I will start crying!
she is just a kid! and she has had the weight of the world on her shoulders so many times! but now? now she is no one’s first priority! what must it feel like to be surrounded by friends with parents willing to bleed and die for them when her own have never even tried to understand her. what must it be like to see her friends gain these extra loving adults? for gorgug to find his birth parents, for fig to get two dads, for fabian to have cathilda, for adaine to be adopted by jawbone and know that she is legally part of a family that loves her?
she breaks my heart bc ofc this kid doesn’t always make the smart choice. ofc she gets sidetracked and doesn’t know how to follow through. ofc she fucks up in the little moments. she has never had someone to model that behavior for her. she has never had an adult that has seen her at her worst and said yes I will still love you. this isn’t what we do but my love for you doesn’t break. it has always come w conditions.
the big moments she gets, she cures riz in the forest, she reaches out to cassandra with praise, she cares when the universe asks her to
and so she seeks out these massive moments and keeps getting beaten down bc no one has been there to show her how do to the day to day work of building anything
she is sixteen and living in a house full of parents none of whom are hers

is it just me, or do the Fantasy High fans seem to skew younger than Dimension 20 fans as a whole?
I just keep seeing takes that are so. teenager. in vibe. so "all or nothing" so "chiding a character's flawed behavior means you hate them and aren't paying attention" while also "analysing at all means you're taking comedy show toooo seriously :3"
I had thought d20 fans were one of the older fandoms I was in, but maybe I never dived too deep? I guess every fandom has kids around lol
