Gotham royalty, Dick Grayson, caught with actress Y/N Y/LN behind the scenes of upcoming movie (3/5/2023 1:52 PM)

For months now, fans have been questioning the mysterious relationship between Dick Grayson and Hollywood’s favorite star, Y/N Y/LN. While this may come as a surprise to some, for most of us, it was kind of expected.

Just this morning, the two were seen outside of the actress's trailer on the set of her upcoming movie. The young actress, most notable for her acclaimed EGOT status, is using the feature film to officially bring and end to her acting hiatus.

For a little over three years now, Y/N has practically shut herself out from the public eye, wanting to take care of personal matters in her life. Insiders report that regardless of her "mysterious health condition", she's back and better than ever!

And of course, despite most of the filming taking place in the heart of New York, the gothamite had no trouble traveling to to visit her on set. Paparazzi spotted the apparent couple looking closer than usual just as Dick was seen leaving her trailer.

Throughout the years, both celebrities have been stuck in the classic "will they, won't they" situationship. We can easily take a quick look at the history of the two when they were introduced to each other through their mutual friend, Kori Anders.

Kori, who also happens to be co-starring in the same film as Y/LN, has noted in the past how much she would love for both friends to get together, saying that:

"I know most people usually don't want their besties to date each other, but I actually wouldn't mind. Dick is a good guy, and he's the kind of guy that Y/N could really use right now..."

On the other hand, Y/N has made it clear in the past that she's not looking for a relationship, wanting to focus on her son, Jonathan, instead. After getting pregnant by her ex (who ended up cheating on her, ouch!), the actress tried to keep her life as private as possible.

Dick, on the other hand, absolutely adores Y/N and her son! Over the course of their decade long friendship, the billionaire has proven to be a prominent figure in the child's life. Even this past March, the eldest Wayne flew both the mother and her little five year old out of the country to vacation with him in Italy.

Even though the celebs constantly try to deny any dating rumors, the proof is in the pudding now! No matter how much they try to defend their so called "friendship", we can't help but love the way they love.

I've been seeing some really really bitter and irl world projection takes on Topaz since the recent storyline. Yes she went too far and was weirdly flip-floppy in morality. Tbh that's a writing problem and I definitely think they should have picked one, antagonist or unwilling participant in bad work. But you're acting like she's the IPC's biggest simp lord and like she's responsible for every sin known to god. She's really just doing her job. You hate the job, but the job is a job. People work in bad jobs. Like, a good percentage of Star Rail characters have had jobs that are not that far from Topaz's and yet we're getting mad about this one because the company is evil space Amazon? I bet you now we're only getting an inch on the story with the IPC coming in 1.5. It was implied that the place Topaz's ''''sob story'''' was about was Penacony and I bet again we're gonna be fighting the Family and doing something about the control there. This is just one IPC member who is just doing her job and got freaking demoted for changing her mind on something. And on that, she was convinced a world was gonna die and did what she thought would save them until Bronya proved her wrong and Topaz agreed to face her superiors with the change in plans. You think she's unaware the IPC is shitty? We haven't even MET her higher ups. Fucking hell, even the grunts were complaining (AND were acting completely independent from her because they did not listen to her at all). To be honest, if Topaz quit, they probably wouldn't let her go because she's got a talent for it. They'd probably hold Numby hostage because they're kinda the source for this money ability.

The IPC is gonna most likely be taken down and good riddance to involuntary space colonisation. We're just not there yet so THERE'S GOING TO BE EMPLOYEES. THAT ARE PEOPLE. WITH LIVES.

I've changed my pfp to a Guinaifen drawing because I was just as hype for her as Topaz and I don't like the shit I hear from people here. Like stop projecting shit on a fictional woman who happens to have a job you don't like. And you can like a character without supporting that job. Get real.

We still have this little critter, and she has successfully healed from her spay.

She rejected her homemade cone of shame (rolled up soccer socks courtesy of J) so we got her a proper baby shirt. It’s shocking we got her into it, and that she tolerated it as well as she did. She may be a shit, but she’s a good kid at heart. Maybe because she’s so stinkin’ cute.

It is probably wishful thinking, but her manners seem to be getting better. She still hasn’t been formally introduced to Zelda, but we can already tell she’s a little bully, so keep your fingers crossed because it would kinda suck to rehome her.

(It’s doubly hilarious because I’m the “no more cats can’t deal argh!” sort and this lil shit just HAD to choose OUR yard as the place to hang out in.)

YES I DO

She's from Alexandra, the capital city of Aquitan. Aquitan is a deeply theocratic place and the Suzette sect that basically rules Alexandra is a very wealthy one. She was the illegitimate secret daughter of a nun and raised in a magdalene laundry, adopted out to new parents as soon as she was old enough to be a governess to their existing biological kids (16 ish). That was her first job and how she met her husband.

After her marriage became untenable she would spend days outside the house, wandering around and trying to be unnoticed as much as possible. She didn't want to exist. She learned how to trespass and pick locks. She sold any valuables she happened to find in the locked places she broke into, never showing the money to her husband. She was saving up to leave forever. She wanted to go to Renzo [italian archipelago] - she hates cold weather. She wanted to see the Mediterranean.

She was sent to an asylum after her husband called the cops on her.

Helena learned about her from the arresting police officer at a high society gathering - he told her about the ghostly kleptomaniac woman who suffered from hysteria.

Helena offered Léa a new life. But she always held the threat of sending Léa home over her head to keep her compliant.

Léa is 38 years old at the start of stbh and her actual name is Léa No Last Name. That's how she signed off many of her reports to Helena.

She met Bowman when they were on a job together - she was going to open the lock, he was going to rough up the house occupants until they paid their debts to Helena. Léa's best friend in the group is Islin, they were close while working at the mill and she has a lot of respect for him. It took her a loooong time to warm up to Félix (but it did happen eventually). She has been on dates with Senca that never really went anywhere, she finds Senca too secretive and uncommunicative, and her trust issues see a lot of red flags everywhere that might not always be real. On the flip side, Gloria's attempt to court her ended because Léa was too secretive. She's a hypocrite.

rewatching stranger things 2 for steve and kiddos plot and stumbled into one of those high intensity will scenes, and my only thought is how cool thats gonna be in @carolperkinsexgirlfriend 's steddie in the upside down au (i forget if theres an official name yet aslfhdfil)

#i never got as invested in will or el or any of the 'important' characters (except maybe hopper) as much as my silly little other characters #but koko's au? im so so hooked #and its not like i dislike will or el i love when their characters have character moments #problem is half their shit is plot moments instead #id probably watch 9 episodes of el trying to make friends at cali highschool #but i skip all the lab tank brennar backstory shit after season 1 #like all that shit is canonically important to her and yet it doesnt feel important to her. shes more invested in what angelas doing in s4 #than she even felt looking for her mom in s2 #it all feels plot first el second #anyway long tangent to say koko's au has none of these issues and i fucking adore it #its refreshing to be genuinely interested in these plotline that are coneptually solid but i just wasnt invested in when watching the show #so ye cant wait for steve to scream bloody murder in upcoming chapters itll destroy several characters emotionally and i for one cant wait

6. What is your Tav's origin story?

Galinndan and Shandri met in their adventuring years, eventually building their own home in the middle of the woods, starting a family short after. The first of the children ended up being triplets, much to the surprise of both their parents. Alyona, Leyla, and Stella were thick as thieves growing up, caring after their younger sister Aisling and as well as the youngest, their brother Naeris.

All of Leyla's siblings seemed to have a knack for defending themselves—Alyona and Stella both became rangers like their mother, Aisling found joy and power in music, and Naeris was a dedicated follower of Mielikki. But Leyla? Leyla struggled. She was a terrible shot, her music didn't carry the same weight as Aisling's, and while she had an academic interest in the gods, she could never figure out one to devote herself to. Her father Galinndan tried his best to teach her the ways of the druids, and while she understood them, it never manifested as druidic magic like she was hoping.

Until she started receiving visits from someone in her dreams.

This friendly visitor never wore the same face, always appearing as different forest animals, though Leyla always knew it was them. This visitor eventually helped her connect with the druidic magic she'd been trying to find for so long. Though her father knew immediately that the source of her power was different from his own. (Mechanically speaking, Galinndan is a Land druid and Leyla was a Dreams druid, which is a 5e subclass!)

Leyla's new magic became a sore spot between her and her father. While they were pleased she had finally starting showing signs of magic, Galinndan didn't trust the source of it. While Leyla insisted she had learned it on her own, she and her father were often at odds with each other as a result of his distrust. And when Leyla received a vision warning her of danger if they were to remain in their secluded area of the woods, her family was forced to make a choice. They stayed, Leyla left.

She travelled for weeks, studying the stars along the way. Leyla only stopped into towns briefly when she needed supplies or desired a real bed to sleep in. She grew closer with her dream visitor during her travels, bringing joy to every town she stopped in, healing wounds when she could. She started to read more now that she had unlimited access to books, something she'd never experienced before but something she found she really enjoyed.

Eventually Leyla found herself in Silverymoon. She hadn't intended to stay long, but fate had other ideas for her. While attending a ball, she met Traven, a cleric of Ioun that captured her heart. She eventually decided to stay in the city, both to be with him and to study everything Silverymoon had to offer. It was here Leyla was captured into the Nautiloid. She still isn't sure if Traven survived. After her capture, Leyla lost her connection with her dream visitor, instead having to rely on the magic she had learned through books.

23. What is your Tav’s favorite moment they’ve had with their lover?

It's hard to pick, honestly. (Especially not being 100% certain on Leyla's romances lol.) But her intended romances are Gale and Halsin, so I'll pick one for each!

Her moment with Gale is an easy one. Even though the romance bugged in my first playthrough of the game when I'd intended to romance him, the scene where he creates the starry scene is so sweet, especially for Leyla. She had always loved the stars, and after travelling through the Underdark into the Shadow Curse, she was really starting to miss them. To have him create that scene for her... She almost cried, honestly. It was such a thoughtful gesture from him.

For Halsin, I imagine the two of them spend a lot of time talking about druid things together. Leyla missed her druidic magic, even though being a wizard might have suited her more. Eventually the subject of her dream visitor came up, and he was able to help her identify who it might be! She won't know until the tadpole stops interfering, probably, but it was nice to have some answers on who they might be after all this time.

64. What Tarot Card best represents your Tav?

Hmmmm a difficult one. She's gone through a lot of growth in her journey, so her original card is much different than the current... but overall? And this is a little on the nose, but probably The Star! It's a card that's deeply connected with hope, which Leyla had often clung to in her darkest moments. It's a reminder for herself that she's going to be okay. I love that the reversed Star also represents how Leyla acts when struggling, as well. She often feels like the entire world is against her, and just really... unsure. No hope or faith that everything will be okay.

The High Priestess is probably the runner up though! It signifies intuition/inner voice, which also feels very Leyla. Actually the more I read on this, the more I consider it? This question is way harder than I was anticipating...

If you've made it this far, thank you! I have so many thoughts about Leyla, so this was a joy. I probably wrote way too much about her backstory, but I'd been itching to do it anyways....

🔥 I know your passion is Azula & Ursa dynamics so what’s your opinion on Ikem & Kiyi & Ursa starting a new family? Of course we agree the comics are trash but the concept itself - potential to make things more complicated & interesting or it’s better to scrap it?

Well I don’t know if these will be controversial opinions.

Ursa starting a new family during her banishment is interesting. And I think it is a realistic depiction of what could have happened. Because really what was Ursa facing in banishment? A new life and identity. Fire Nation princess is behind her. And while in heart she is the mother of Zuko and Azula she can no longer be so in action. For Ursa there is not much practical difference between what she faces and being a mother who’s family dies.

So Ursa remarrying is interesting and can play a lot into developing who she is a person. How she treats her new kid and how she remembers her old affect each other. These are things that can go a variety of ways and be treated differently by different authors.

What I do think is important is when given the chance she chooses Zuko and Azula along with her current family. Particularly while Zuko and Azula are still children. If Ursa chose to just pretend her new family is all she has it would feel unsatisfying. This is the person who killed a king, why would she not give a chance on having the kids taken from her?

Azula and Zuko should have a chance to be annoyed or angry with Ursa and her new family. Feeling replaced or ignored should not be looked down upon. After all it would be an entirely new experience for them. They aren’t used to having a half sibling or step dad. They never imagined meeting Ursa again and feeling like she has more important stuff then them.

As for Kiyi and Ikem specifically I am more split. I have explored several stories where Kiyi is involved. A young daughter who is similar to Azula is interesting, so I do like playing with that. As for Ikem? I don’t care for him. A new husband as a concept is great. But I feel Ikem is about the worst way they could have gone about it. So I would go with a completely new character for it.

MISUNDERSTOOD VILLAIN

prepare for an onslaught of both the most dehumanizing and hateful takes, and flood of thirst comments. you are chronically misunderstood. whether or not you're actually evil is debatable. you may be acting out for revenge, to defend someone you love, or even just to protect yourself. you're a pretty jaded person. you don't trust or even really like most people. maybe you did at one point. but that part of you is gone, and you don't go a single day without grieving it. you think a lot about what your life could have been. you're stuck in the past. you're angry and maybe you don't even want to be, but this is the only way you can see to survive. you're open, but less in a trusting way and more like a wound. you don't like to let people see you, but the hurt spills out of you before you can stop it. you're impulsive, even as you try hard to plan and prepare. maybe someday your side of the story will finally be heard. until then, you can convince yourself that being hated is safer anyway.

UNASSUMING EXTRA

you had maybe 3 lines but you will forever own my heart. you play a very minor role, one often forgotten about (not by me tho bby, i'll love you forever). however, your significance in the story is pretty big. something about you propels the story forward in a way no one else can do. you tend to blend into the background, and you probably like it that way. you want a simple life, free from the drama of the main characters. unfortunately, your story is almost always cut short. your role is usually a death that kickstarts the plot. going unnoticed did not save you, but it probably did bring you some peace of mind.

TORTURED LOVE INTEREST

you're so hot. sorry about the horrors. you're the kind of person people immediately notice. whether you have a distinct style, are more outgoing, or are just plain beautiful, you make an impression. people usually feel the need to protect you, which probably frustrates you to no end. you're not weak! you're not fragile! you're not helpless! but the people in your life tend to disagree. maybe it's your lover, the protagonist, trying to keep you out of their own turmoil. maybe it's someone responsible for you in some way, keeping you away from your lover, while they head down an increasingly dark path. regardless, all you really want is a sense of autonomy! unfortunately, you're very likely to die before that happens. the audience will be so caught up in the grief your death causes the protagonist that they forget to grieve you as a person. you deserved better, but unfortunately this is not your story. maybe it should have been.

i wanna be your grandma so bad, please let me pinch your face and knit you a sweater. you're most likely the best friend of the protagonist, and there's some possible overlap between you and the narrator. you're sweet and try very hard to be selfless. you watch the ones you love descend into darkness, and make every effort to help them through it all. it's not enough. you keep trying to make it enough. you provide comic relief, a listening ear, a hug, advice── any method of support you can think of. your own personal tragedy isn't documented. sometimes you wish it was, even though you're the one who ensures it is not. you want people to care for you the way you do for others. but you refuse to ask for it, so you wait for others to read between the lines. they usually don't. at least you're the one who gets to survive the tragedy. no matter how many times you beg to trade places, it is always you at the end, sitting at someone else's grave.

Finally got to Stakes and I’m loving it so far, I get why ppl really like it. The lore and backstory, the sweet domestic bits, the way the vampires are named after tarot cards, the animation for the intro/outro.
