Drop your favorite small businesses in the comments to show some love!
I've been a huge fan of fablebands since I won a giveaway of theirs in 2020. I'm not quite sure just how many designs I have, but the collecting has slowed down a bit as I'm more selective on what I buy. That said, they recently released a Love, Theoretically inspired design called Physics & Chill. It matches the original cover perfectly and I adore all the nods to the story (the Go board, the diabetes ribbon, the CHEESE).

Love, Theoretically was my favorite of the three STEMinist books. The ace-spec rep was *chef's kiss* and not talked about nearly enough. I know these books aren't everyone's cup of tea, but definitely give Love, Theoretically a try. It felt different than the other two while still being the same, if that makes sense.

I’m reading Witch King by Martha Wells, and now that I have read more than one (1) series by this author, I have been suddenly brained with a two-by-four sharpied over with “realizing that I really enjoy novels by Martha Wells because they live in the specific niche created by the intersection of casually and thoroughly queer casts and non-romance storylines”
I am as ever a sucker for non-human main characters struggling with their very human feelings, which is why I jumped on Witch King the moment I saw “the author of Murderbot wrote another book with a main character that’s non-human,” but I live in this dichotomy where I can really enjoy reading queer romances but I don’t really identify with non-ace characters (which is not actually something I figured out how to differentiate until I was Last Week Years Old). so there are lots of books out there that I enjoy reading but it’s comparatively rare for me to read something that feels like it was written For Me and Martha Wells does that very well
anyway, give me more ace it-pronouns human-spliced robot main characters and people-eating demons who consider rank over gender when finding new bodies to inhabit

What's the last book you read with found family?
I finally read Loveless this month, and dang, a lot of my experiences growing up asexual and not knowing it are reflected in this book. I always liked the idea of romance and loved watching romantic movies, but when I tried picturing myself in those situations, I couldn't. It was nice to see that reflected in Georgia.
Loveless is a story about being loyal to yourself and your feelings. It's also about being loyal to friends and found family. Though, I will warn you that the HP references were not taken out of this new edition and that's incredibly disappointing.
Sunil is an absolute ray of sunshine and probably my favorite character of the book! He helped Georgia so much with giving her the aro/ace language and helping her realize she that she has a place at university.

why is it that the best way i feel can describe my problems is with the term "mana scarring".
like. this term refers to literal magic flow in the body, and yet i feel like it's the perfect metaphor to describe how absolutely stupid and brain dead i've been feeling since 2020.

why is there no yaoi angst like madoka magica. boring. all the bl is the same "buff guy and weak ass smooch smooch" I want them to be in pain. I want one of them to become an eldritch being and have the other desperately try to stop them to the point of becoming one themselves. Where is my horror existential crisis yaoi.
