So the way I've been working on comic pages is:

thumbnails for whole chapter

bigger thumbnails (layouts) for whole chapter

draw panels & bubbles on manuscript paper for whole chapter so I know where drawings need to go

draw pencils for a given page on copy paper

Ink pencils for that page on manuscript paper

Tone & letter that page

Repeat for each page

I made myself a template so I could place it under my paper and know where the edges of my panels had to go so that when I scanned the finished page into CSP, everything would just align.

So ive finished my layouts, and I spent some time the other day drawing out all my panel borders & bubbles so i could start pencilling pages.

I penciled pages 1-3, inked & toned page 1, and then realized today... the template I made was wrong. It won't work for any printer at the comic size we want.

Had to spend all evening trying to math out the new *correct* size to make my template, and now the panels (and drawings that'll go in em) are all the wrong size.

Gonna redo all the panels tomorrow, then, I guess. And most likely the speech bubbles, too. The new template is taller than what I was using, so allllllll of the panels I planned out in thumbs/layouts are like... they're just wrong now.

It's worth pointing out that Nya is very much a ninja in dragons rising, and she has her powers back.

Didn't even get a book chapter about it, she just has her powers back full force and presumably dropped the whole return to samurai x as SOON as possible because that subplot from crystalized was just that much of a pointless roundabout...

i need to just accept my current reality because that’s the only way i’m going to move forward and i know that it’s kind of pathetic to wish i was 19 again and having friends and in a happy relationship but my current reality is just so shitty so often that i am just constantly wishing to go back.

It's my baby sister's birthday today and she's 17 and I don't know how to deal

The fresh hell I'm tormenting myself with tonight is after Orroros frees Orpheus and they both realize one of them is going to have to become a mindflayer to defeat the Nether Brain. They ask for a moment to think and then drag Astarion off to the side and basically beg him to compel them to say no. They won't have the strength to stop themselves from volunteering. This final realization that they are either not strong enough to be all their people need them to be, or they don't want to be.

Went to the doctor

Have to get back into antidepressants. Trying a new one. They also don't believe I have ADHD, which is fair. All he has to go off w is my own self diagnosis which ethically he can't do anything with that. But what bothers me is that he said in the time I've been his patient he has never suspected it. Like PTSD and depression yes, but not ADHD.

I like to think I don't make it obvious but now it's making me doubt if I have it, even though I feel like everything I've seen by ADHD specialist psychologists resonate w my life experience. I was never good at trusting myself but this is making my self doubt even worse.

Good news is that my blood tests came back normal. No autoimmune stuff going on so that's good. Forgot to ask about some blood spots coming up on my legs. Other good news is that I have a certificate for the next few weeks (while I'm taking the new antidepressants and hoping they make my chronic pain better) that I have to work 3 days max/week instead of the 4 bc it was too much for me.
