I made posts previously about how modern day Jonathan and Arthur would be Gen Z. And of course, Mina, Lucy, and Quincey would also.
But it just struck me:
Seward would be a millennial.
And as a millennial, that makes me feel somewhat called out by the universe.

not that i haven't engaged in this myself in the past and all, but it is increasingly super weird to me when people base their assumptions of a person's knowledge and engagement with political events on what they post on tumblr or social media generally. like. i read the news daily and try to stay as up to date as i can on world events, but i don't post about it much on my tumblr because frankly it just doesn't feel like an appropriate venue for it most of the time

Emo Gohan idea that’s been bouncing around in my head forever- Gohan is used to being used like a weapon against threats. He’s called on by Goku during the Cell Games almost exclusively because of the power his anger brings him. In the beginning, Piccolo even kidnapped him for this exact reason- because his rage was useful. Whenever he fights, he can’t help but feel like someone else is pulling the trigger. Like he’s being used.
hope that made sense lol
Ahh I love this!!!
Haven't come up with anything concrete per se as I'm still chewing on this idea but you managed to squeeze these doodles out of me with your request 🤔🤔🤔

One of those miraculous chatfics where the heroes and their civillian identities are put in a groupchat with friends, except it's the entire class and the entire hero team, and over time they slowly but surely use their hero accounts more and more until they're subconsiously calling one another civillian names while Marinette's staring in silent horror like oh god what the fuck did I do
Adrien is having too much fun making Aspik and Chat hate one another to notice

Reminder that Under-40 America's social breakdown is not solely to do with the fact that we are a car-dependent culture. We have been a car-dependent culture since around the mid-20th century.
Car-centric infrastructure is just one piece of the puzzle, and I'm not even convinced that it's necessarily the final nail on the coffin either.

So like this chunk of tags keeps getting passed around with a strong "kids these days" bent
And while I agree that this is a poorly thought out statement I would like to give this person the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are trying to be compassionate and well-meaningly protect kids younger than them
But
Can you imagine how traumatic starting adulthood would be if you had no context for violence or sex or war prior to turning 18?
Or worse yet, until you were exposed to those thing in real life as a child or teen?
We need these things in fiction and culture so that we can figure out how to process them irl as we develop

contradicting your own point speedrun tiffany ferg edition like two minutes into a video essay about how laziness isn't real: "are there people who just take advantage of others while not contributing anything? of course, but they're bad guys and you watching this are definitely just a smol bean with depression and anxiety and burnout and and and"

i want the drinking age to be 18 in america for a lot of reasons, but a new one that i just realised is that the drinking age being 21 stops queer youth from being allowed into gay bars. if more baby queer ppl had the opportunity to go to gay bars and meet queer people irl when they're still teenagers instead of having their whole connection to the community being either through the internet or high school GSAs i think the world would be a better place

You know that one gross scene in DBZ where Roshi groped 18 in front of her daughter? Guess who wrote that episode.
I knew Koyama hated Krillin, so I had a hunch for a while that it was him who wrote the script for DBZ EP 239. I just never verified my speculation until now. This is just confirmation of the kind of person he was. Not surprised at all tbh.
Add on Koyama's "list of sins" that he wrote for Roshi to grope 18 (the super powered cyborg who struggled to hold back her extreme power while she wasn't even angry) & somehow 18 didn't snap Roshi's neck or rip his head clean off when she was pissed off at him. This scene would work for Bulma attacking Roshi due to her being far weaker than Roshi, but 18 is someone that can easily harm a Super Saiyan. Roshi would be dead. That scene is a terrible & failed attempt at "comedy."
Why did Koyama hate Krillin so much? Idk. Probably for some dumb petty reason.
Toriyama always depicted Krillin in a way that was in character & he still does so as we saw in DBS: Super Hero. But, Koyama was always there to "sneakily" make the animated adaptation of Krillin in DBZ look bad in some way that was always OOC for Krillin.
Links to posts by @dragon-ball-meta that explain how Koyama treated Krillin.
