Happy Easter everyone! This year we have the very rare occasion that it is not only Easter Sunday, but also the last day of Macro March. How often does that happen? Once in a lifetime? Anyway, I don´t know where Esther, the Easterbunny was going with this idea to celebrate both Easter and Macro March, but it escalated quickly.

can we get something white knight related? perhaps in how weiss and jaune express love for eachother
This is my penance for that winter knight post from earlier.
How Weiss expresses love:
Weiss: Babe! I got us tickets to the Spruce Willis premiere!
How Jaune expresses love:
Jaune: Babe! I cleaned every corner of the house and made dinner!
Granted, Weiss' ideas about expressing romantic love would absolutely be impacted by her folks/upbringing.

Weiss:  Father?
Jaune:  You know I asked you not to call me that.
Weiss (awkwardly):  Daaaaad.
Jaune:  Yes, sweetie?
Weiss:  Ruby and I wished to to see a movie.
Jaune:  What are you going to see?
Weiss:  She is insisting upon the new Spruce Willis movie.
Jaune:  *kneels down to look her in the eyes*
Jaune:  You’ve never seen one, have you?
Weiss:  I am afraid...
Jaune:  You don’t need to apologize.  Now, how much are movies nowadays.  It was a lot cheaper back in my day.
Jaune:  *hands Weiss Lien*
Weiss:  *tries to take the Lien, but Jaune won’t let go*
Jaune:  You know the price.
Weiss:  *blushes and looks around*
Weiss:  *leans in to kiss him on the cheek before pulling back*
Jaune:  And one for Ruby.
Weiss:  *leans in to kiss Jaune on the other cheek*
Jaune:  *lets Weiss take the Lien and stands up*
Jaune:  You two have fun.
Weiss:  Yes Fath...  Erm.  Daaad.
Willow:  *slips in under his arm and kisses him on the cheek*
Willow:  It’s amazing to see how the kids can be with a real father.
Winter:  *steps up*
Winter:  Fathe...
Jaune:  *glares*
Winter (awkwardly):  Daaaad.  General Ironwood and myself also wish to see a movie.
Jaune:  Has he made a move?
Winter:  He has been a perfect gentleman.
Jaune:  And he will keep doing so as long as you call him Ironwood.
Winter:  Fath...  Daaad.  I couldn’t.
Jaune:  If you want to get him to think about you that way, you might have to make the first move.  He’s as oblivious as I was.
Winter (blushing):  Thank you for the advice Fath... Daaad.
. . .
Winter:  Daaad?
Jaune:  You know the price.
Winter:  *looks about nervously*
Winter:  *kisses Jaune on one cheek and then the other*
Jaune:  You two have fun.
Whitley:  *walks up*
Whitley:  Father.
Jaune:  You know...
Whitley:  Pardon - dad.  I wish to accompany...
Jaune:  You can’t always follow your sisters around.
Whitley:  I am sorry Fath.... dad.  It’s just, I have no been able to...
Jaune:  *kneels down*
Jaune:  I can’t give you advice on how to get a girl, but if you want to see a movie with someone, we’d be happy to go with you.
Whitley: . . .
Whitley:  I would love to, dad.

«REALITY '86'D
(Shot in 1986 and completed by director David Markey in 1991 for We Got Power Films, approx. 62 min., Super 8 film)
Three bands and crew (a combined total of 13 individuals), 2 Dodge Ram extended cab vans, one equipment truck, one PA system traverse the continental US for six months. A road documentary shot from the inside of the last Black Flag tour ever (the 1986 "In My Head" US tour.) Greg Ginn along with Henry Rollins, Cel Revulta, and Anthony Martinez comprise the final line up of the band. Featuring behind the scenes proceedings and live performances from Black Flag, Painted Willie, and Gone (Ginn's side project, then featuring Sim Cain and Andrew Weiss (later of the Rollins Band) . David Markey was along for the entire trip as the drummer / singer for Painted Willie (with Phil Newman & Vic Makauskas), documenting the six month tour with his Super-8 camera as it happened. Also features roadie Joe ("Planet Joe") Cole, soundmen Davo Claasen and Dave "Ratman" Levine, and the tour manager who kept it all together, Mitch Bury. A crucial turning point in American underground rock. The end of the line for a trail blazing American band.»

The long-promised but ever-receding indictment of Trump for election interference in Georgia’s 2020 election will (supposedly) be issued this week. Or not. The grand jury is still taking testimony from witnesses—which seems inconsistent with an immediate release. On the other hand, Trump is increasing his attacks on Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis by falsely claiming that she had an affair with a gang leader whom she prosecuted. That slanderous, reprehensibly sexist attack on a female prosecutor is a reliable sign that an indictment is imminent.
If the indictment is issued, it appears that D.A. Fani Willis is looking to charge the conspirators in a sprawling scheme to overturn the Georgia election. Previous reports indicate that Willis is pursuing the fake electors’ scheme. Testimony this week will touch on efforts to seize and manipulate voting machines in Coffee County Georgia. See CNN, Exclusive: Georgia prosecutors have messages showing Trump's team is behind voting system breach.
The focus on Coffee County voting machines is significant because the efforts involved Trump legal advisors—and Trump himself. Per the CNN report above,
[T]he text messages and other court documents show how Trump lawyers and a group of hired operatives sought to access Coffee County’s voting systems in the days before January 6, 2021, as the former president’s allies continued a desperate hunt for any evidence of widespread fraud they could use to delay certification of Joe Biden’s electoral victory.  Last year, a former Trump official testified under oath to the House January 6 select committee that plans to access voting systems in Georgia were discussed in meetings at the White House, including during an Oval Office meeting on December 18, 2020,  that included Trump.
In short, when—and if—a Georgia grand jury issues an indictment, it may involve many defendants in a pervasive conspiracy. It will be ugly and provoke a media frenzy that will rival or exceed the J6 indictument.
Whatever happens, the coming week will be filled with tension as the nation inches towards an unprecedented fourth indictment of a twice-impeached former president. (To be fair, the first indictment was unprecedented, so the fourth indictment sets a record never to be rivaled in our nation’s history.) As usual, the Republican Party’s response to Trump's corruption and criminality is to go into attack mode against the fictional “Biden crime family.” As we chafe under the unjustified attacks on the Biden family, we must remind ourselves that the viciousness and depravity of the attacks vary in direct proportion to Trump's legal jeopardy.
Incontestable proof that the controversies over the Biden family are fabricated emerged from the appointment of David Weiss as special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden. Thirty Republican Senators sent a letter to Merrick Garland demanding the appointment of US Attorney David Weiss as special counsel in his ongoing investigation of Hunter Biden (on the theory that the absence of the special counsel designation hampered his investigation). On Friday, Garland appointed Weiss as special counsel after the plea deal Weiss negotiated with Hunter Biden fell apart.
So, Republicans should be happy that they got exactly what they demanded—special counsel status for David Weiss, right? Nope! Republicans are now furious that David Weiss has been appointed special counsel because, according to Ted Cruz (who signed the letter), appointing David Weiss is part of a “cover-up.” See The Independent, Ted Cruz rails against Hunter Biden special counsel appointment that he requested.
          Per The Independent,
[Ted Cruz said,] “This appointment is camouflage and it’s cover-up. I think it’s disgraceful.” Mr Cruz is now accusing Mr Weiss of either being an “active participant” in covering up “criminality” and obstructing justice by “protecting” the president, or “he was just complicit.” “He was so weak that he couldn’t stop the partisans in main justice from turning it into a political effort to protect Joe Biden,” Mr Cruz said. Mr Cruz now accuses Mr Weiss of spending “the last five years covering it up”.
Republicans know that there is nothing of substance in the investigations of Hunter Biden, so have turned to other measures. One GOP House member introduced an impeachment resolution against President Biden on Friday. See The Hill, Florida Republican rep. files articles of impeachment against Biden.
The articles of impeachment are HERE. They are a garbage can containing every wild conspiracy theory, random email, and unsupported inference that has been circulating on right-wing social media for years. In short, the articles of impeachment say that Joe Biden's family members attempted to leverage their famous last name to generate business relationships. If trading on a family’s famous name constitutes a “high crime or misdemeanors,” tens of millions of Americans would have criminal records. Of course, the articles of impeachment will be futile, even if they make their way out of the House, which is doubtful.
The ludicrousness of the charges against Biden pales in comparison to “business as usual” for the Trump family. Recall that Jared Kushner oversaw the Trump administration’s policy in the Middle East. Two months after leaving office, Kushner opened a brand-spanking new investment advisory firm and received a $2 billion investment from the Saudi Foreign Investment Fund—an investment that was so transparently corrupt that the advisors for the Saudi fund objected to the investment. In a coincidence too coincidental to be a coincidence, Prince Mohammed bin Salman overruled the objections of the Fund’s advisors and ordered that the investment be made nonetheless. Last week, the GOP Chair of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer, admitted that the investment by Saudi Arabia “crossed an ethics line.” See The Hill, Comer says Kushner ‘crossed the line of ethics’ with Saudi deal.
There is, of course, a double standard that applies to Democrats—both in the media and in the justice system. The “nothing burger” story about Hunter Biden is being treated with faux seriousness and pretension by the media. See AP News, Biden's reelection bid faces vulnerabilities in wake of special counsel appointment. Meanwhile, Trump is facing his fourth indictment and the presumption is that he will merely pardon himself if elected—with barely a whimper from the media over that anticipated republic-shattering corruption.
The double standard was addressed by Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo in an extended Tweet. I won’t reproduce the entire thread here, but Marshall begins as follows:
Let’s admit that every reporter in DC knows but most won’t say for fear of falling out of favor with the “both sides” rules of official DC: there is a two-tiered Justice System. One for Democrats, in which the most exacting focus on conflicts of interest are followed, often going well beyond not only what the law or established norms require but sometimes even basic logic. Meanwhile for Republicans most of these rules simply don’t apply. Ever. Does anyone think that a newly installed President Trump in 2025 would leave in place US Attorneys investigating matters tied to Trump or the Trump family for years into his administration? The very idea is absurd. In fact the Trump campaign is openly running on plans to thoroughly politicize federal law enforcement and target his enemies. Openly.
Got that? Trump is openly discussing plans to use the DOJ to target his enemies, but the AP is wringing its hands over Hunter Biden’s efforts to convince people (wrongly) that his father would be swayed by input from his son on political matters.
 Concluding Thoughts.
It is maddening, I know. But Trump's mantra of “the rules don’t apply to me” has convinced not only the Republican Party but the media. Our task is to remain focused on the only thing that matters: Defeating Trump (or his surrogate) so that we can ensure that the rules do apply to Trump.
The psychological warfare that will be targeted against Democrats this week is a sign of desperation by a party with a leading candidate who has been (will be) indicted for a fourth time. Whatever difficulties Democrats face, it does not approach the seriousness of a single indictment, much less four. Let’s keep that fact in perspective as we prepare for another momentous week.

You know what ? Aside from a few scenes, I actually never watched Blues Brothers 2000 entirely, but I strongly believe this movie brings a lot of good things for Elwoods character.
He started to open up a little. You may know the famous sentence “silent Elwood never did put more than two sentences together, but all those lost words burned from his Special 20 blues harp”, which captures Elwood’s character perfectly. The man expresses himself best when he’s got the band behind him, and we barely saw him align more than a few words in the first movie.
And we all know that Elwood has knowledge in very specific areas, right ?
Well, the only scene where we get to see Elwood speaking for more than 20 seconds straight is the one when he gives this speech about american blues.
“You may go if you wish. But remember this : walk away now and you walk away from your crafts, your skills, your vocations ; leaving the next generation with nothing but recycled, digitally-sampled techno-grooves, quasi-synth rhythms, pseudo-songs of violence-laden gangsta-rap, acid pop, and simpering, saccharine, soulless slush. Depart now and you forever separate yourselves from the vital American legacies of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Jimmy Reed, Memphis Slim, Blind Boy Fuller, Louie Jordon, Little Walter, Big Walter, Sonnyboy Williamson I and II, Otis Redding, Jackie Wilson, Elvis Presley, Lieber and Stoller, and Robert K. Weiss. Turn your backs now and you snuff out the fragile candles of Blues, R&B and Soul, and when those flames flicker and expire, the light of the world is extinguished because the music which has moved mankind through seven decades leading to the millennium will wither and die on the vine of abandonment and neglect”.
And this, this almost made me cry.
It feels like it has to go off his chest. Elwood was ready to give up on everything. He was so miserable. Jake was gone, Curtis was gone, the orphanage closed, Elwood got nothing left except his passion for blues music. And Buster reminds him that he still has the band, the blues, the passion, and all of this are the only things that makes him feel alive, because “no pharmaceutical product could ever equal the rush you get when the band hits that groove, the people are dancing, shouting, and swaying, and the house is rocking”.

Sworn Duty to Protect
It was cold that morning. The day they laid Nicholas Schnee to rest, her beloved and so adored grandfather, Weiss' heaving breaths came out in clouds of sorrow from her mouth. Her mother was so disraught by her father's death, she shut herself away into her room. Weiss didn't know it, but that would be the last she saw her mother sober for the next twelve years.
Klein held her hand, rubbing a thumb as he stoicly watched the casket lower. He also held Winter's hand as she failed to match his stone face. Whitley fussed in her arms, unaware of the tragedy in their family. Weiss wouldn't forgive him for... so long.
A supposed "close friend" of Nicholas spoke at the eulogy, giving empty words of death and dust and neither truly ending. Even at her young age, Weiss knew a corporate shill when she saw one. Her father arranged the ceremony, and it only made sense for a rat to come to assist a leech.
"Remember, Weiss," her father whispered, his voice a relief from the mockery, "that this death is faulted on one man. Do you understand?"
Wordlessly, she nodded. It was the man who abandoned her grandfather. The serpent in hiding amongst the permafrost of her home, trickering her grandfather, her family, into believing his lies of honor, respect, and duty. Her father was many things, a liar sitting high among the list, but he was no murderer.
Nothing like an Arc.
---------------------------------------------------
"You know what else is great? Me." Jaune jumped in. "Jaune Arc, nice to meet you."
"Hello, Jaune," the red-haired girl waved, "it's nice to meet you!"
"Thanks." Jaune waved quickly before getting closer to Weiss. "So, I couldn't help but overhear you say-"
"Did you say your name was Arc?" The white-haired woman interrupted, staring at the ground.
"Uh, y-yeah," Jaune answered, suddenly feeling a cold chill, "I didn't think it would be famous."
"Arc." She breathed out slowly, like the word held a deeper meaning beyond a name. She looked up from the floor, and Jaune nearly froze on the spot in terror. Never before had he felt such hatred, such boundless rage and disgust in anyone's eyes before. After drawing a long breath, she spoke once more. "From now on, your life will be a living hell."
"What?" With a flick of her wrist, Jaune was frozen up to his neck in a block of ice. Weiss then twirled in a sort of ballerina form and kicked Jaune to the opposite end of the locker.
"Come along, Pyrrha." Weiss walked away.
"Uh, it was nice to meet you!" Pyrrha shouted and waved before cautiously following Weiss.
"Was it something I said?"
---------------------------------------------------
"It wasn't just your words, but your actions." Weiss huffed.
The older man bellowed. "You sound just like your mother!" He touseled her hair again, which she spent all morning making look perfect. "But there are worse people you could be like."
"Oh, hush." Her mother said, holding her baby brother in her arms. "Weiss doesn't have to be anything like me."
"Nah." A voice came from behind before lifting Weiss high into the air. With a toss, Weiss was spun round and caught in the same hands, finding her grandfather's old and grizzled face smiling at her. "She just has to be the best Weiss she can be."
"Hallo, Opa!" Weiss greeted with a giggle.
"Hallo, liebchen!" After rubbing his nose against hers, he set her on his massive shoulder. "Where's Winter? It isn't like her to miss on a family gathering."
All eyes fell to the hallway, where a pair of blue eyes and a crown of black hair peeked around a corridor. When her grandfather followed their gaze, there was a squeak and she fell away. He belted a laugh.
"Scaring children again, Arc?"
"It's not my fault." The other man argued. "I've always been bad with girls." He looked to her mother for support. "Right, Willy?"
"Considering I had to throw you off a cliff for you to notice your wife, I would say yes."
"Come on, Willy..." the man groaned, earning another laugh from her grandfather.
"Mr. Arc?" Klein called from the hallway.
"Klein, come on!" The man opened his arms. "We've known each other for years! Call me Big Nicholas!"
"Hey!" Her grandfather barked teasingly. "You're already stealing my look, so don't go stealing my name, too!" The two continued to share their laugh. It was a running joke between the two named Nicholas.
"You never know, Schnee." He gave a cheeky smile. "Maybe my son will woo one of your girls?"
"If he has your charm or half your density, then I shouldn't have to worry." Her grandfather replied with a smile.
"Er, Mr. Ar- Nicholas Arc, sir," Klein called again, "Master Jacques will see you now."
The man shook his head. "And we were having such a great time, too."
---------------------------------------------------
"I don't think that was a great time at all."
"Sure it was, Ren!" The bubbly girl replied to the lean gentleman. "I got to ride a Grimm, then got a cute, little castle, and then got to kill a giant scorpion thing!"
"A Deathstalker." Ren corrected.
"Get goose height."
"Gesundheit." Weiss said.
"Huh?"
"Gesundheit," she repeated, turning to the pair, "it's Atlesian for health."
"Oh, like-"
"From this day forward, you will work together as Team CRDL, led by... Cardin Winchester!"
Weiss clapped from her place beside the two. As the names were called for the next team, she glared hard at the blond fool. Her gaze only burned hotter as it was announced the son of a snake was deemed in any way capable of leading a team. Her hated enemy was either more clever than he initially appeared or was charismatic enough to be believed. She couldn't believe either option, which angered her ever more.
As the months at Beacon rolled by, it had become clear that the fool grew affections for her. This would not stand, so she pushed her disgust and hatred for him as far as she could. Unfortunately, it only seemed to interest him more.
It seemed she would have to get physical.
---------------------------------------------------
"Are you sure you can't stay another week?"
"I'd love to, Willie, but if I don't get home soon, Jaune might start crying again." The man chuckled. "It's still surprising that my only son is the most emotional of the five."
"Well, he is your son." Grandfather chuckled.
"Ha ha ha." He dryly replied. "Good luck on your mission. Hope the bullhead doesn't crash from your fat head."
"My wife says it's quite distinguished." Grandfather replied with a smile. "But I should be fine, and I appreciate the concern."
The man approached her grandfather and grabbed his arm. In return, her grandfather grabbed his. Blue eyes met blue eyes and the two silently nodded.
"If there's any trouble, you'll give me a call, right?" The man asked.
"Of course." Her mother said. "But only if you promise to come as soon as we do."
"Of course!" He smiled. "You have my word!"
"And we all know how an Arc never goes back on his word." Grandfather finished. "Take care, Nick."
"You, too, Big Nick."
With that, the man left, leaving the Weiss to watch the door a little longer from her perch atop the stairs. How could she have known then that would be the last she saw of both the man and her grandfather? She couldn't.
Not even as she drifted to sleep watching from above.
---------------------------------------------------
"Agh!" Jaune tripped as he stepped back, falling backwards. As he stood, Weiss pressed the attack and struck again, knocking him down again. "Give me a break, Snow Ang- Agh!"
"Shut up!" Weiss spat. "If you have breath to speak, you have breath to fight!"
"It's supposed to be friendly sparring." Jaune groused as he stood, hefting his shield up.
"In case you haven't noticed..." Weiss thrust at him, but didn't connect. Instead, she feinted, tapped Myrtenaster, activated a dust round, and stepped away. Jaune approached with a wide swing, like a fool. Dust empowered, she thrusted a torrent of ice shards into him. "We! Are! Not! Friends!" Jaune fell onto his back, icicles cracking as they covered his chest. "I despise you. Loathe you. HATE you entirely."
"Why, though?" Jaune groaned as he tried to lift himself. "I haven't done anything- RGH!" Jaune's body was trapped in a black circle, his weight doubling, if not tripling within.
"That is exactly why." Weiss growled as she held her icy gaze on him. "All an Arc does is nothing."
---------------------------------------------------
"Dad?" Jaune crept into his father's den. It had been a while since he spoke to him, and even longer since he came back from his mission. "Dad, can I talk to you?"
"I'm busy, Jaune." His father weakly groaned from his chair. The room once full of light and life with open windows and music on the record was now dark and dim with shades shut and the only light from the hallway. "We'll play later."
"Dad, I..." Jaune gulped. "I was wondering if you could teach me how to use a sword."
The room was silent. Jaune gulped as he stood in the light, waiting for his father's reply. As the chair squeaked, he flinched. As his father approached, Jaune's little heart hammered in his chest.
A gentle hand rested on Jaune's shoulders, and turned him to the door. "Another time."
"Arc's word?" Jaune asked.
Nicholas flinched, though only he noticed it. Without answering, he shut the door. He walked back to his desk and sat in the darkness. He tapped his scroll and swiped through the old photos he took. It had been two months since his best friend's funeral, and even longer since he spoke to his family.
Nicholas Arc was a coward who couldn't keep his word.

Okay, this is going to sound extremely weird hearing this, but RoosterTeeth is working with Shaft to make Ice Queendom. Shaft isn't just using the RWBY IP willy nilly. RoosterTeeth had been in talks with Shaft for a while, working with them to make Ice Queendom.
The reason why I say this is because there's a misconception that Shaft is the only company working on Ice Queendom and with that logic, if, say, Ruby were to kiss Weiss, then it would apparently invite a swarm of "critics" to say that Shaft did yuri kissing first.
Even though this was made and approved by RoosterTeeth's blessing, which meant that they would also share that credit of achieving the first yuri kiss in RWBY.
Yes, people may point out how the anime did it first, but remember that it is RoosterTeeth approved.
Like, it shouldn't matter if the first kiss happens in the actual show or some spinoff. Like, you had Ruby try to move in for a kiss at Weiss in that one manga that collects fan-created comics. And that was endorsed by RT.
Had they went through and had Ruby kiss Weiss there, it would not be a problem. More people will praise it than criticize it.
You can't fret over what a few people on the internet will say regarding content. If there's a kiss in Ice Queendom, it should be considered a major win for RWBY, not a defeat.
We don't even know how it's going to end. ... I mean, we do, but we don't know how they're gonna break Weiss out of the nightmare. Ruby kissing Weiss is a theory, but it might just as easily be something like talking Weiss to take a stand for herself or even fighting the Nightmare Grimm itself.
Who knows?!
In the end, we're seeing a RWBY anime, FFS. This is literally a holy grail for all RWBY fans. Let's not muddy it by thinking little of the studio making it.
