Riz pulling so much weight for everyone and securing votes vs Kristen being the closest to failing out of school thus inadvertently screwing him. plus her inadvertently bringing Kalina back, who as it stands serves as an antagonistic and deeply painful force in Riz's life. there's just something really ripe and tragic about their friendship rn (even moreso if you wanna throw in the meta that the narrative was steered towards Riz running against Kipperlilly) and it's neither of their faults. I feel like I'm watching a disaster in slow motion.

It is WILD to me that there were so many steps almost not taken that led to that final scene with Alphonse

First, Lou debated blowing up the trebuchet, but decided that would be awkward

Then, Pinocchio considers stopping to attack Alphonse himself but gets yelled at by the party because Alphonse is literally surrounded by enemies and he would be surrendering double moment to hurt someone doomed for death.

THEN Brennan decided to allow Pinocchio lighting a firework and giving it to Cricket as an object interaction

Pib gives Alphonse the help action and he fails his save. At FIRST, Pinocchio admits he was going to use his Master of Destiny reaction to MAKE him fail so he’s all good. But FINALLY upon hearing Pib say Alphonse is the only person from his town who’s still alive, Pinocchio feels bad and uses the ability help save Alphonse and he fucking rolls a Nat 20

And that Nat 20, guys gals and non-binary pals, is what allows a Cricket aiming a firecracker at a rocket to kill many tiny people and break a curse, turning a mule back into a prince

#this will likely be the last of my recent twcfm posts #but i did love goemon's (and fujiko's) depictions/relationships #all goemon wants is a friend like him since he feels so alone in the world #but he fell in love with a person who doesn't exist #and he keeps setting himself up for failure by hoping for fujiko to change into the woman he thought she was #only to end up more lonely since before meeting fujiko (the ending of twcfm “resolves” their relationship but it felt wrapped up too soon) #also i'm specifically thinking of the scene where they're on the beach and goemon interprets her actions as having been good and honest for #once only to end up disappointed when she hadn't changed for the better to be more in line with his values #as for fujiko she got closure from her trauma but her relationship with goemon went nowhere #she was too traumatized to understand that goemon was trustworty and genuinely did love her unlike all the other men in her life so far #but it was interesting to see her being comfortable “alone” after she dealt with her trauma as well as her new outlook on life #but i still feel bad for goemon; he deserved better and all he wanted was for someone to want/love him and make him feel he belongs #lupin iii #lupin the third #lupin the 3rd #goemon ishikawa xiii #goemon #fujiko mine #twcfm #the woman called fujiko mine #fujigoe

This is a unique function of what food my brain worms like to eat, but no one's doing it like the Blacks. The drama? The intrigue? The Gothic horror?
