Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1

The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.

So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.

So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.

Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.

And the probe is working again.

From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.

I need to confess how much I love g3 Twyla <333 In G1 I liked Lagoona the most, but G3 Twyla is so relatable. She's sweet and quiet but has inner strength, loves books, her struggles are familiar, and she's autistic. And her design is just the best, with my favourite colours, too! She's my comfort character now.

I think Twyla would love space. And long sleeves. RH Emi Vanda's clothes fits her surprisingly well!

I made her a quick temporary apron dress before an actual good one (because I hate tight skirts and don't want to damage her shorts by the sitting position). Also I think out of all my dolls she and Amelia (Emi) are the ones I restyle the most because they are so much fun!

She's my favourite now and took her place at the head of my bed to keep my dreams interesting <3

I also figured out that with the right hairstyle her earplugs stay firmly in place and was happy about it! I'd leave them there at all times if I could 'cause the room is often noisy 😅 but if her hair is down they won't stay there unfortunately.

Since Neon Frights come without a bracelet I'll try to make it myself.

Also Twyla is the first doll which made me understand why people buy different releases of the same character. I love this one, I truly do, but after I watched Twyla's clips from the series and her music videos (Out of the Shadows, it made me cry because of how relatable it was!) I can't help wanting the creepover one, too! They are so different and I like both so much :< If I ever have the chance, I think I'll get her, too.

AHHHHHH! NEW CASE STUDY OF VANITAS CHAPTER! ITS BACK!

Oh yeah that's right we were in the midst of this Dham arc.

Well time for some all too relatable pain as Dante and Johann have to deal with being questioned and assaulted by THE LITERAL CHURCH

The chapter was really good. Like, it fucking hurt to read, but it was so good. Having dealt with mostly just Roland the human Golden Retriever and Olivier his dog-handler, and of course everyone's favorite traumatized murder baby Astolfo, it was different to see these Chaseurs as the cold and calculating killers they are. It wasn't over the top, it was simple "We are gonna hurt you and maybe kill you cause we can, whether you tell us what we want to know is irrelevant. No one here will stop us, and as long as no one knows, we won't get in any trouble for it."

Like, "Oh yeah, these guys ARE terrifying assholes, I forgot."

But the dialogue about the Dhams really hits this chapter.

"They're a real eyesore"

"They dress like they're advertising themselves as Dhams"

"Dhams should make like Dhams and live in the shadows, holding their breath"

And then Dante's internal thoughts, the fleeting hope that someone will come to help,

"Who exactly is someone"

"Who'd show up for us?"

"This world treats us like it can't even see us."

And he goes for the gun in his jacket... God it fucking hits. I say it every time, but so much dialogue in this manga can just have the names of things and people swapped out and you could believe it applies to so many marginalized groups. It feels more authentic than a lot of manga and stories I read. Don't know why. That's just probably my queer ass reading too much into these chapters as my own experiences, but fuck. I won't lie that I felt the connection with Dante keeping his gun in the same inner jacket pocket I keep my knife in my jacket. The same jacket with pins that people say I'm "advertising as queer" with. Johann fucking pleading for Dante not to draw his gun cause he knows his partner is gonna die if he tries. That these church goons are looking for an excuse to pin them as the aggressors so they can execute them.

And right as shit is about to happen, Domi shows up. DOMI!!!!!!!

Perfect way for Domi to start making up for her casual prejudice against Dante and Johann earlier. Domi sticks her neck out for them, against 2 FUCKING CHASSEUR PALADINS OF THE CHURCH! Like, yeah Domi is fucking awesome and powerful and an influential vampire noble, but 2 Paladins? They could kill her if things go wrong. But my girl is still here sticking her neck out for Dante and Johann. Congrats Domi, you have a chance to use your Vampire noble privilege to finally be the Dham ally you thought you were.

I love it. I love this manga so much.

#I second all of the above SO MUCH #the chapter is short but it's so raw and meaningful and SCARY I reread it twice and want to to it again #also Domi is already in a dangerous position politically #she's staying there to let things settle after the amusement park #her family told her how much she fucked up (even though it wasn't her fault) #so choosing to stand up for DHAMS against CHASSEURS and in her position is a very very brave decision #and I love this manga for all the irl parallels #there were queer hints in PH too #but with VnC it feels like MochiJun is going all out as a queer stan (or just queer) #of course the issues can apply to lots of oppressed groups and minorities #queer community just pops up in my mind first and as the most obvious #Also the fact that it's Domi who's been visibly the most queer of the whole cast (gnc/nb and popular among girls) sticks out for the dhams #JUST #*explodes* #vnc spoilers #Vanitas no carte
