Okay, hear me out. Josh and Tommy.

Sometime down the line Buck and Tommy break up amicably and stay friends and buddie happens. Buck feels kinda guilty though, partially because he feels like he might've unintentionally led Tommy on and partially because every time they talk he ends up mentioning Eddie. And Tommy is still single.

So, this rather needless guilt is just sitting in the back of Buck’s mind. And then one night, he ends up over at Maddie and Chim’s for drinks or whatever and Josh happens to be there. Josh is sipping wine and bemoaning how single he is.

And Buck gets an idea.

Buck: Hey, Josh, how’d you like to date a hot, charming firefighter?

Josh: How is that even a question?

Of course, Buck sets them up, and to everyone's delight it goes rather well! They have a similar sense of humor, full of snark and wit, so the banter is Level 100. Josh likes that Tommy is gentleman, picking him up, driving, picking up the check. Josh knows he can take care of himself, but it's nice, to feel a little special sometimes. To have some attention. And if how Tommy went about asking Buck out was anything to go by, Tommy likes treating!

A perfect match, if Buck does say so himself (and he does).

I think more people should spend time thinking about Tosh and Ianto. Imagine how much of a duo they’d be. The shit they’d get into. Tosh invites Ianto over one night and they sit there watching cheesy movies all night. They pine over Owen and Jack together. Getting absolutely wasted at 2 am. They’d get into so much chaos around the hub. They’d convince Jack to try to ride Myfanwy. They’d fuck with Owen with some robot they found in the rift. The besties. The girlies. The dynamic duo. I think they’re neat.

Reasons why I hate each of the main 5 Torchwood members (these are the entire list of reasons unless I specifically say otherwise):

Gwen

- cheating on Rhys then retconning him to forgive her for it

- the speech at the end of the episode Meat

Jack

- making Ianto feel insecure about where he stands in their relationship (yeah ik why but he should have told Ianto that)

- trying to force Ianto at gunpoint to execute what was left of Lisa

- not bothering to check on Ianto after the cannibals

- the way he dealt with Mary then didn't comfort Tosh

Tosh:

- the comment in the episode Meat about feeding the world, disregarding the amount of pain that the creature was in

Owen:

- his sadistic enjoyment of trying to make Gwen and Rhys' relationship fall apart

- the stuff he said to Ianto in the episode Captain Jack Harkness

- the way he completely disregards Tosh and her feelings for him, they were obvious and Owen is smart enough to not be blind

- kicking Ianto when he'd already won the fight in the episode Captain Jack Harkness

- his general treatment of Ianto and Tosh

Ianto:

- literally nothing, everything he did that was morally grey/wrong was at least mostly justified

Can you tell my ranking of characters? I'm not sure if my no.1 is obvious at all, most definitely not clear, such a mystery.

I think it would be really funny/queer for Buck and Tommy to get on so so well… only for Tommy and Buck to both be total tops.

And they’re like maybe we can work this out and let’s try this and this and that and agree to just be friends (with side benefits for a bit) because they are less… compatible. Then we get Buddie and Tommy/Josh (Tosh!) and we all win.

Okay but like... As a staunch buddie shipper who gets a bit nervous about Tommy/Buck becoming endgame... I would read the HELL out of a Josh/Eddie fic just for the spite and also because I think you could absolutely get something really good going there

Do you know when, in hindsight, you really regret doing something?

Like, for example, I was just making my morning cup of tea, but I had to refill my small sugar container from my large sugar container, which is one of a super nerdy set of containers with the chemical formulas for salt, sugar and flour on them. And when I put it back on the shelf it slipped from my sleepy-ass hand, fell to the ground and broke. Which meant I had to vacuum clean (at 5:30 in the morning) until all the shards and sugar were gone, and also I just broke the fucking thing and the set is no longer complete. I really regret that. Such an inconvenience.

I regret making this JOKE more.

ARGH.

(Okay, maybe that's a lie, because I just had to spend 24 € to buy a replacement, and yeah)

Guys. Puuuhhhleeeaaase! It was a joke. I'm not even that mad about people making the Tommy/Josh suggestion (although it irks me), and I certainly wouldn't actually write something I can't get behind just out of spite, when I have other shit to finish/continue and can barely muster the energy for it.

If any of you who have commented on that post genuinely want to ship Eddie/Josh that's fine. You do you. But I won't.
