Lady Maria vs Keeper of the Old Lords
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the depth of the pthumerian's tombs, Lady Maria always feared to encounter an adversary with the ability to control fire.
Not just a common foe with a mere fire paper no, but a being capable of channelling their own energy or blood to ignite a blade, a pyromancer. The protectors of the old lords or of the antics kings and queens of their people.
She always had fascination yet a grand fear for them. People aren't sure why a fearless warrior like her would be so destabilised at their evocation or when rumours to have seen one would went to her ear.
But in the end, she managed to overcome one of her biggest fear. She faced the fire and ash warrior and save her companions!
She took a decision. She won't let herself be hold back by this part of herself and scare her so much, anymore.
A few headcanons :
Yes I headcanon Maria is born a pyromancer. The first since about her grand grand grand (grand?) parents. Her blood is very powerful for offensive use. (Way more powerful than a normal human trying to used a Chikage as well, for exemple). So yes she could ignite her blood from her living under certains extreme conditions.
She never really learnt how to control it/how to make it take fire on demand properly and she didn't wished too (plus if she can't control it her family isn't gonna ask her to used it!). She don't want to use her own blood as a weapon, as a mean to hurt people. She don't like this and she almost feel like a monster or a weapon with such abilities.
Still, she was quite curious about the legends of the pyromancers protector of the great ones. Compared than the "shadows" of the queen she should have become.
Her abilities through her blood but it's is very similar to the shadows of Yharnam/beast possessed soul/keeper. Like the description said for the keepers they had to go through a ritual to obtain their power. But they are much older, those rituals take place before pthumerians crown themselves leaders.
Back at byrgenwerth the students gang did encounter a shadow of Yharnam once, during hm training we'll say. Everyone was fine in the end but Maria was quite shock and scared by the experience. It reminded her what she could become and the role her peers wanted her to have. A shadow.(= bodyguard who can do dirty work). Still, she even used her own blood to distract the shadow so they could run away, knowing maybe it would recognize her as not an enemy. Everyone found that a bit weird a t first but they figure that Maria do know some pthumerian/cainhurst rituals so that pass and almost no one suspect anything.
After she got her master degree at Byrgenwerth, she went to the East a couple of months to do a mission for Cainhurst. She got her Rakuyo over there as well. When she came back she got offered her hunter outfit and joined the hunter/ healing church. Not long after they went to Central Pthumeru...
Maria and a few hunter had to fight the beast possessed soul and again it scared her. Afterwards she understood she couldn't let her fear of pyromancer hold her back or people could be severely hurt.
So afterwards they discover the keeper of the old lords, Maria fought it and defeat it. She got injured and was quite destabilised but she made it. She was gift her chalice afterwards and got THE blood transfusion + a baptism + being officially a part of the hunter/church.
So besides her very close family (royal family include) nobody knows about her ability for a huge while. I think you can understand why.
Ok she did tell Gehrman accidentally. But there were more important things she told him at the same time too so he didn't pay that much attention to it on the moment. And after all, 'that you can make fire or not with your blood doesn't change who you are Maria!"
Laurence in the contrary kinda loose it when he learn about it XD he found it absolutely incredible! Compared to her. But he managed to tell her it wasn't a curse but a gift and it shows she must be special for the great ones! She did appreciate that.
I know the idea of Maria vs keeper of the old lords have already been done by a few people but it's just so good! I believe there's many possibility for a story! In term of action or even characters.

Swordswoman Showdown Round 3
Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower (Bloodborne) vs Alanna of Trebond (The Lioness Quartet)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Better here in a "preferred character" sense, not "who would win in a fight")
Propaganda below cut
Lady Maria
She has a double-bladed sword called Rakuyo that can split in two to be dual-wielded; She's haunting the narrative and the whole game foreshadows her existence
She wields the rakuyo, twin-bladed trick weapon that can transform into a matching katana and dagger, making it a versatile weapon; She one of the highest-ranked Hunters in the game, and fights like an experienced PVP opponent. During the boss fight against her, she stabs herself twice, first to bloody her blades and increase the range of her attacks, and the second time to cause her blades to emit flame when she strikes. Finally, she starts off the boss fight with this quote: "A corpse, should be left well alone. Oh, I know very well how the secrets beckon so sweetly. Only an honest death will cure you now. Liberate you from your wild curiosity."
She fights with a sick twin bladed sword which can split into two smaller swords, She was too hard and I couldn't beat her :'(
Duel wielding sword and dagger that combine as a twin blade; Best boss in the game. Also taller than your character by a full head. Her outfit is fashion as fuck as well.
Alanna of Trebond
Literal lady knight, has never lost a duel as King's Champion
Disguised herself as a boy to train as a knight and learn the sword. Practices with a giant sword to increase inductance. Finds (is found by?) a special magic sword. One of the best swords people in her country.
She was the first lady knight in Tortall in centuries and paved the way for other lady knights like Kel. She's also a shortstack hero who regularly kicks butt. Won several sword fighting tournaments against her male peers while disguised as a man.
Can't stand the idea of getting sent to a convent, so she switches places with her twin brother and disguises her gender to go off and become Tortall's first lady knight. Engages in much sword-wielding badassery, not just through inherent talent but through working twice as hard as the boys who skate by on their size and comparitive strength. In later Tamora Pierce books she shows up again as a mother, but even having kids doesn't stop her from going off and doing more heroic sword-swinging. H*ck yeah.
She’s her realm’s first Lady Knight in centuries and a genuine hero. She disguised herself as a man to earn her shield. She was the King’s Champion for decades; One of the first major women heros in YA fantasy, from the 1980! According to the author, if Alanna had the words for it, she would be gender fluid
disguised herself as a boy entirely to learn swords and become a knight, becomes the first lady knight in her country in centuries; Alanna is so iconic that decades of queer fans have seen themselves in her and any author signing is accompanied by a mob of sobbing millennials over how much finally meeting and thanking the author for writing Alanna meant to them

BLOODBORNE LORE Q+A PART 5: BOSSES
part 1
part 2
part 3
part 4
---
THE HUNTER ASKS:
Tumblr media
there IS a connection! where queen yharnam can be found, so can her shadows! they're HER shadows, not the shadows of the city. this is a reasonable inference given they have low poly pthumerian faces under the hoods. i brightened the shit out of this screencap to make it easy to see.
Tumblr media
the boss version is found right before you run into her (or, really, one of her projections*) in the moonside lake and the others right before we bump into her on our way to deal with mergo.
*this is some speculation but its not without backing. the real queen yharnam can summon two ghostly clones of herself who can be distinguished from the real one because they are not pregnant. the one you meet before mergo poofs like the ones she summons during her fight if you hit her.
they do suck tho. kind of a shitty fight. if youre a confederate and you summon henryk its not even fair. something DID happen in development tho. lance macdonald, who does a lot of bloodborne datamining that whips ass, recently posted a comprehensive history of this bastard: the snake ball
youtube
despite the shadows of yharnam sucking ass and being one of the weaker boss fights, i seriously think this looks way worse and it was a good idea to cut it. if i reached the end of this notoriously grueling and miserably boring level full of literally nothing but snakes just to be served another, bigger snake i would become saint patrick irl. at least they pretended it wasnt snakes at first with the current fight lol.
i dont really get the snake infestation thing. like its there and there's the whole madras twins story or whatever. but it doesnt really seem to have any attribution to any outside force. it just seems like its some shit that happens in yharnam. sucks. maybe this is supposed to be another example of the line between man and beast blurring, like the note in byrgenwerth.
THE HUNTER ASKS:
Tumblr media
lol i love this question. i have no idea. how tf does he know its name is paarl. it sure as shit didnt tell him. "vacuous rom" at least comes from micolash but i dont know how you would know it before that. how does the hunter know its a spider. how does the hunter know ebrietas is a girl. the insane confidence to decide that mergo's wet nurse is a wet nurse is unfathomable.
i saw someone on reddit call logarius "gary" and i thought that was very disrespectful. does that help.
THE HUNTER ASKS:
Tumblr media
i think so! not a lot of info on those guys. i appreciate their existence tho. they have a sick hat you can steal.
i guess i don't really understand how fire works in the bloodborne universe, really. laurence's burning body could be read as metaphorical but none of the fires in yharnam go out easily. old yharnam is still burning, somehow. some pthumerican enemies can cast hadoukens for no reason, for example: the pthumerian elder, those chalice dungeon enemies that look like the chapel dweller, the keeper of the old lords and their horrible dog, the shadows of yharnam............lady maria..........!
the only one i can think of that breaks this pattern are the beast possessed soul and the loran cleric who tries to kill you IRL by lighting your PS4 on fire with his AOE attack. i know i post this all the time but please watch this 30 second clip of this asshole casting nuclear winter on this poor hunter
youtube
genuinely no clue on this. fire cleanses or whatever but other than that its a mysterious force in universe that behaves oddly.
THE HUNTER ASKS:
Tumblr media
i believe so! she's at least a cainhurst knight if her outfit is anything to go by. its such a good fight. her song on the OST is a waltz and its like they created the fight around keeping time.
---
i should cut this here. next time i can focus entirely on rom/mensis/the one reborn, etc. almost done. that post will probably be long tho.
but everyone is so wrong about what happened so you have to deal with it.

Now that I've finished the game, here's my definitive and objective list of Bloodborne bosses rated by attractiveness/bangability (most to least):
Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower - hhohoohoohhhooo!!! Too much woman for me, but I die trying!!! She lets me hit cause I'm silly!!!
Vicar Amelia - Cute! I'd paint her claws pretty colors
Father Gascoigne (beast form) ‐ I mean, of course!? He's a werewolf daddy
Mergo's Wet Nurse - she's a hardworking sweetheart, what's not to love? Everyone loves a woman with swords, and she has so many
Shadows of Yharnam - ghost gangbang?
Cleric Beast - in terms of Bloodborne, it's a little vanilla
Father Gascoigne - (human form) - kinda crusty
Gehrman, the First Hunter - REALLY crusty
Celestial Emissary - mushroom penis hehehe
Laurence the First Vicar - he shares my surname so I get some selfcest vibes. Not sure if that's good or bad. Also uuuuuuuugggh why were YOU the hardest boss???
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos - I hate the eyes, but love the potential use of all those tentacles
Amygdala - stompy and very Gender, but the arms need to stay ON during sex
Martyr Logarius - We get it dude, you're emo. Enough with the skulls. (I'd either kill him or sleep with him—anything to get Annalise's attention)
Darkbeast Paarl - I like that it was a little feeble, even with the electric shocks. We love a kinky sub. I don't like how dead it is, but at least there's no rot
Rom the Vacuous Spider - knowledge is sexy, but I'm still not into spiders that have no tits
Blood-Starved Beast - nobody likes the desperate, even if they're covered in blood
Micolash, Host of the Nightmare - the cage around his head means I'm not getting head (so what's the point). Also, COME HERE AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN, BITCH BOY 0/10
Living Failures - I'm not convinced the flailing would do it for me
Witches of Hemwick - I couldn't get turned on because they kept summoning a crowd and I'm not an exhibitionist
Moon Presence - I love the moon, but this is a little too corpse-y for me
Ludwig the Accursed/Holy Blade - "49 times I fought that beast" and I've never been more turned on than when I finally slayed it. This is what Bloodborne is about—learning little by little, facing your nightmares and feeling the pulse in your palms as you make them flinch first. (Still wouldn't fuck him though)
The One Reborn - Corpses and birth imagery, all wrapped up in a putrid package
Orphan of Kos - a literal baby

Late Soulsborne asks!
4. Do you listen to the soundtracks? And if so, what are your three favourite tracks?
10. What’s your favourite fan theory?
13. Do you have any weird head-canons about the games/npcs?
It's never late to ask me anything!!!
4. Yes I do. The Limgrave OST is real nice ambience when I'm walking anywhere. I also listen to Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower and Malenia's theme whenever I invade. Slave Knight Gael OST goes HARD when I do well.
If I feel sad and wanna kick myself while im down, Gehrman, the First Hunter helps my finish myself emotionally. When feeling melancholic, Firelink shrine music from both DS1 and DS3 really enhances the mood.
10. Ornstein is the King of the Storm in Dark Souls 3. He followed the path of the dragons and finally became one, allying with the Nameless king after being defeated by the chosen undead back in Dark Souls. There is a little bit of evidence, namely the fact that his spear and armour is just laying there on the ground where we fight the King of the storm. Also they're boyfriends. Like you turned into a dragon so a man could ride you? 🤨📸
Malenia is still alive after we defeat her. After the Scarlet Bloom flowers three times, she's supposed to ascend to godhood. The first one we see in the trailer while fighting Radahn. The second one we witness ourselves during the fight. But there must be a third one. The flower we see outside her arena Might be hers, but I'm not sure. It could've been the owner of the Travelers set we find there. Meaning that Malenia is yet to bloom the third time.
13. My favourite headcanon is the one from @majorasnightmare about Melina being Fucking Weird (Affectionate)
The Executioners from Bloodborne existed before the healing church, and I would imagine they were some sort of a gang. When the church took over, they were the force that was recruited to enforce the new regime and overthrow the crown later on. Also they called the blood that was stolen by someone from Byrgenwerth "forbidden" so that they could have an excuse to massacre everyone in Cainhurst castle.
When the hunter gets reborn in the secret ending of Bloodborne, the reason they're a tiny squid Isn't because they're just small and will grow into a big Great One later on. They became a tiny squid so that they couldn't hurt anyone. To rid the world of the Great One's interference. They will stay like that.
Thank you for this ask!

Pairing: Jeff Hardy/Maria Quote: Barely even friends then somebody bends unexpectedly. Verse: Medieval
Tumblr media
As a painter, Jeffrey Hardy’s eyes were trained to spot things of beauty. He could capture the beauty of the sun rising over the royal gardens, the way it made each flower glimmer in unison with the dew that sat upon them. Jeffrey could capture how the waves of the nearby ocean sparkled and shimmered in the light of the moon. But his favorite things to paint were the members of the court.
And of all the members of the court, his favorite to paint was Lady Maria Kanellis.
While Jeffrey had come to the Northern lands from a small farming village in a kingdom to the south, Maria had been born and raised as a member of the affluent kingdoms in the north. While his own clothing was subdued, bleak in color and simple in fabric, Maria always seemed to wear the brightest colored dressed made of the most vibrant fabrics. She was gorgeous, with long flowing auburn hair and eyes as deep as summer forest foliage. Jeffrey often found himself lost in her beauty, at banquets and during moments where the court were together.
The court headed by Prince Matthew Taven and the few he had selected for his inner circle, which included Michael Bennett, the man who was betrothed to wed Lady Maria.
It was not that Jeffrey disliked Michael Bennett. He was a kind enough man, a warrior and hunter in his own right. He spent almost all of his time on the pursuits that Matthew found to be interesting. There were hunts that happened during the mornings, grand feasts to be held each night. Jeffrey supposed that was the norm for members of northern courts, for the northern princes, but all it seemed to him was that Maria’s company was forgotten by the man who had been sworn to marry her.
The lords had gathered for yet another morning hunt, dressed in their riding gear with bows at their sides, some of the women seeing them off. Jeffrey had been eager to point the way the mists sat amongst the opening to the forest that separated the castle walls from the surrounding wilds, but as he found himself most times in her presence, Jeffrey had grown distracted by the woman’s beauty. How was it she outshined the morning sun, that she had eyes more vibrant that the forests themselves?
And how was it that Michael never seemed to notice?
The sound of hoofbeats against the ground signaled that Taven had led his men away for the hunt and Jeffrey waved from his spot on the grass, face smudged with streaks of gray and green paint that he was using for his latest masterpiece. “Good morn, Lady Maria! Morning hunt for the men, yes?”
Maria smiled, crossing to where he sat on the grass. She knelt on her skirts, an action that surprised the painter. “Aren’t all hunts morning hunts? I swear, Prince Taven loves no one quite as much as he loves a good hunt.”
“You forget Lord Castle,” Jeffrey laughed, recalling the sharply dressed young lord. He was always so well-dressed, well-groomed, and he hung on every word Matthew spoke. “I would say the prince does love the praise of that man.”
“Well spoke,” Maria smiled, eyes locked on Jeffrey’s every action. The two had never spent much time with one another, especially outside of royal events, “And what about you? Do you not enjoy the hunts?”
“I have never been as others are,” he shook his head, a small smile on his lips, “I have found my pursuits away from the eyes of others.”
“And for the eyes of others,” Maria made a witty retort. Had she always been so brilliant?
“What of you, milady?” Jeffrey smiled, “What pursuits do you find yourself partaking in?”
She shook her head, “I find myself pursuing the affections of my husband to be.”
The sadness in her voice broke his heart. Michael did not see the true gem that he had in front of his eyes. “You should not have to fight for those attentions. It is a shame that you do.”
“You know how men can be,” Maria’s eyes locked with Jeffrey’s own brown orbs, “Perhaps I could show you some spots I would like painted. If you are in line for an adventure, that is.”
A smile tugged at the corners of Jeffrey’s mouth. They had barely known each other, were barely even friends until Maria had bent to sit next to him unexpectedly. Perhaps this was a step in the right direction.
“Milady, I would love nothing more.”

My opinions on the bosses, in the order that I fought them in my first run;
Cleric Beast: Struggled a bit with it in the beginning because I was still getting used to the controls. And after playing the DLC(in NG+), it is... nostalgic, also, because I got killed by Laurence so much and got used to the fire and lava that Cleric Beast was just a kinda boring. But still a good fight in some way.
Father Gascoigne: Was the first roadblock(pain) in my first playthrough, I didn't know how to Lock-on and parrying was difficult (see the first reason), and I didn't know about the elevator a couple of deaths in (which was a pain to walk through) not to mention that he was hella aggressive was just the cherry on top. He's fun to fight now though.
Blood Starved Beast: Eh. He's ok in all of my playthroughs.
Witches of Hemwick: I have only ever died once to them in all of my playthroughs (first one) and that was embarrassing. Didn't know that they could just lock you in place. Easy fight overall.
Dark Beast Paarl: I stumbled upon his arena and was not prepared to fight him in my first run, somehow I killed him first try. He's fun to fight in the next run.
Vicar Amelia: Brute forced my way on the first run and I wasn't aware that she could heal herself because she didn't get the opportunity to do so. The other runs were another story though. She's alright! (What's up with Vicars having a painful walk of shame??)
Shadows of Yharnam: Me and the boys(Younger Madaras twin and Henryk) just bully them. Not really sure on what to think of them.
Martyr Logarius: Since I was underleveled, an absolute pain, fuck him(first playthrough). Fucker is easy to parry when he's done with constantly spamming AOE attacks, flying swords are my bane. The walk of shame whenever I die to him sucks ass(I don't like the ghosts and that bitch that shoots darts at me when I climb up the ladder.)
Amygdala: Bitch. (I have not fought the defiled version but he's probably not enjoyable)
Rom: My dearly detested ❤️ (screw her chalice version specifically)
Celestial Emesiary: Meh. Regardless of runs, they don't really stick out much. But I remember after killing them in the first run and the lamp glitched out and didn't work, which made the walk to Ebrietas a much more bigger pain than it originally is supposed to be.
Ebrietas: Hhhhhhhhhhh, I don't think I could survive fighting against her if it wasn't for Damian during my first run. Tad bit less difficult afterwards.
One reborn: Meh.
Micolash: Mf keeps running away, after I get him to second phase I just use bone marrow ash and shoot him to death.
Mergo's wet nurse: She's alright.
Gehrman: Parrying and viscerals are my friend, that doesn't really matter because he is hella difficult.
Moon presence: I got my ass whooped by Gehrman multiple times, Moonie doesn't really live up to that difficulty. :/
DLC(NG+):
Ludwig: Maybe it's because of Valtr and younger Madaras twin being there to distract him, but he's a fair fight. Second phase music slaps.
Living Failures: Y'all said that they were easy wtf. They killed me more than Ludwig or Maria did. The next run they were fine but my first fight with them was just painful.
Lady Maria: Parry and viscerals bby! ✨✨ Fun fight!(why is acquiring her Rakuyo so hard ;-;)
Orphan of Kos: Fuck him. It's alright in the first phase but everything goes to shit when he goes to second phase.
Laurence: At least I can parry orphan and dish out damages from it, this bitch is a fight that I hate the most.Fuck his 3rd phase. Which makes defeating him even more rewarding. Valtr is the MVP in every fights that I have with Laurence. Also, fuck that nightmare executioner that guards the door.
BONUS; NPC HUNTERS(not all of them):
Henryk: He scares me, I try to dish out as much damage as I can to him whilst trying not to die in order for Eileen to live and be none hostile towards me.
Djura: I didn't kill him on the first run. But I did shoot him off the tower on the next one.
Yahar'gul hunters(cathedral ward): They're not exactly memorable.
Yurie: She's ok, I guess?
Fake Iosefka: She's surprisingly not as bad of a fight that I thought she would be(she didn't do a call of beyond so that's probably a part of it.)
Bloody Crow of Cainhurst: Bitch.
Yahar'gul hunters (unseen village): I lure them to the doorway of the lamp(working one) and stab them from the wall. Or stab one of them with a Shaman bone blade and watch the show unfold.
Edgar: Eh.
Old hunters(in general): Unless they have a weapon that I want or vermin I will kill them for it, otherwise I usually avoid them since they're annoying.
Female church hunter duo: I don't like fighting them.
Brador: Also a bitch. I just kill the first invading one and then the real one so that I won't have to deal with him again.
Alfred: Fought him in the throne room out of curiosity, he's a meh.
I have not and will not fight Eileen or Valtr. I like crow grandma (*˘︶˘*) and Valtr has helped me many times.

👫 [ yooo don't gotta be deep or anything bc we still gotta vibe but like -- if u had any thoughts abt any muse vibes im fully 👀👀👀 only if u wanna no worries ]
from Send 👫 and I’ll Talk About Our Muses’ Relationship [aaaccepting~]
BREATHES IN BOI listen i have SO many headcanons about creighton’s relationship with like. a solid half of your soulsborne muses AND LIKE, SIGNIFICANT PIVOTAL RELATIONSHIPS TOO you get six cus i gotta talk about lorian, ludwig, AND maria cus they’re all rlly fkin important okay okay two of each here we gO
okay first and foremost, this is adapted from some ancient hcs of mine and others with an old friend that ended up becoming essential to ds3 era hcs: shieldless lothian is one of lothric and lorian’s earliest human ancestors, and since creighton is lothian’s grandson, that makes the twins creighton’s descendant in some way or another!! i have hcs abt albinism/skin conditions running in the bloodline which is partly why lothric’s complexion took a hit from the curse and where the twins get their grey eyes and pale features, similar to creighton’s vitiligo. temperament and the whole dedication complex thing is also something that never quite left the bloodline, so lorian and creighton are INCREDIBLY similar in the ways they swear themselves to causes and will protect them no matter the cost, life and limb, voice or victory. aaa idk i just have lots of hcs abt the twins’ relationship with creighton, and his and lorian’s significant similarities. raised to be a weapon squad
which leads to hc number two abt lorian/the twins: creighton and lorian specifically end up figuring out their lineage stuff, and then creighton gets rlly protective over his distant fam LOL. it’s all through lothian’s axe, the legendary dragonslayer weapon lothian was famous for wielding, which is a story lorian ofc (being so well-versed in the history of war and a direct heir to the name) would be far familiar with. i have a hc that creighton was doing some invasions and wound up in the castle, and wound up in the twins’ room, and lorian figured out the axe’s significance during their subsequent fight. i hc that now, one of creighton’s invasion spots beside his home of irithyll is the steps to the twins’ chambers, both gathering tongues for his goddess and adding an extra wave of protection for his fam :,)
okay onto bb au which HH i have been musing so much recently and wanting to write more of bUT ANYWAY okay so LUDWIG… okay firsr idk if ur familiar with my bb au but the tl;dr is that creighton is a defected blood saint (saint camiel as he was known). he wanted to be a church hunter like his grandfather lothian, but was forced to continue his saintly grooming despite his openness with identity. so he hates the fuckin church fkfksk but ANYWAY, so ludwig was close with holy blade lothian, and is one of the few members of the church who went a bit behind laurence’s back (naughty!!!!!) and convinced him to be a bit more lenient with in order to help creighton train for battle and hunts. after lothian disappeared, leaving his weapon behind, ludwig helped keep the lil saint’s passion and hope alive… until his own disappearance hhh but that’s another story entirely
but yeah the higher-ups, the choir, they thought it UNACCEPTABLE for a saint to learn to fight, but ludwig being the first of the church hunters saw little camiel’s — creighton’s — passion for the hunt and the fight and took him under his wing a bit after lothian’s disappearance. so he plays a really pivotal role in creighton’s learning how to actually swing an axe, being the one who trained him for battle, and... kinda sorta is part of the reason he had the skill to mass murder during his eventual escape :,)) oopsies
okay and MARIA, lady maria is basically his idol fkfkks. this ties into her relationship with the blood saints in the nightmare, and her role is probably THE most important in creighton’s life before defecting. maria’s sympathy towards the blood saints of the research hall is notorious, and it reaches out to young saint camiel and stuck with them until the adoption of his true self later in life. yet another hunter creighton idolised and admired, and was the one who introduced him more to the workshop and taught him a bit about the truth of cainhurst — ABSOLUTELY forbidden by the church. her name meant everything. no doubt he, too, was one of the patients who cried out for her at their lowest times
and what i mean by her role being the most pivotal is that, her defecting ended up being one of the main catalysts for HIS defecting. when she left, cursed the church, cursed the hunters, he followed suit, escaping the nightmare and taking a dozen doctors’ lives in the process. she was his idol, and he turned her name to bloodshed. she radically transformed his views and opinions and personality. she’s so fucking important hhhh
bonus silly hc!!! i muse abt this with my partner a lot BUT re: pontiff jfjfks listen sully is stinker, and pate and creighton live in irithyll, so they’re basically bitchy rival neighbours LMAO. pontiff and his knights better stay tf off their lawn. pate definitely chases away witches with a soup ladle and creighton can and WILL throw snowballs at sully whenever he passes thru the streets. fuck off pontiff this is THEIR property gkvkdmsk
aaaaa this got SO so long i am sorry but they are all important bastards!!!!!!!! we vibe we vibe thank u sm!!!💕💕

Prompt: I Will Only Slow You Down
Fandom: Bloodborne Characters: Gehrman the first Hunter/Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower, Laurence the first Vicar Word Count: 3.372 AO3-Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/18718291/chapters/61718500
Summary: Maria and Gehrman are out of the hunt, but unfortunately, Gehrman manages to hurt his leg very badly...
(Author's note: There are different interpretations how Gehrman lost his leg, but in my book, he lost it during a Hunt.
Gehrmaria added because of spite, though I have to admit, the pairing starts to grow on me.
Warnings for blood/gore and graphic depictions of violence.) Written for @badthingshappenbingo The prompts marked with blood vials have already been filled out, the ones marked with madmen’s knowledge are planned.
I am still at a loss for Sensory Overload, so come into my inbox with a prompt!
It had happened so fast, that Maria needed a while to fathom what just had occurred.
She and Gehrman had been out on the hunt, like pretty much every night, searching for the beasts that escaped from the labyrinths as well as the poor souls who had managed to catch the scourge. Of course Maria and Gehrman weren't the only hunters, back in the workshop they occupied a few others, but there was a rule of thumb, the Hunters always had to go out on the hunt in groups of at least two. Naturally, Maria, as Gehrman's student and girlfriend, would always embark on the hunt with him.
They were what the other Hunters called a dream team. Maria's swiftness and her dexterity with the Rakuyo complemented Gehrman's style of fighting with a large scythe like weapon, which he called the Burial Blade. Gehrman had made all the weapons in the workshop himself and even helped Maria crafting her Rakuyo, so that she didn't had to use the blood blades from Cainhurst, which she despised.
So, when they had stood in front of three large beasts, Maria hadn't been worried. They would be able to hunt them down, as usual and even if one of them got hurt, the blood ministration in the church would make them good as new in only a few minutes.
Maria should have paid better attention, because after her and Gehrman had taken down two of the beasts, the third had got wind of a chance and when Maria turned around, her eyes turning wide at the sight of the wide open jaw, razor sharp teeth ready to tear into her shoulder, she felt how someone, Gehrman, it only could be Gehrman, tackle her and as she rolled off the ground, scurrying back up, splitting her Rakuyo into the dual blades, vaguely aware of having heard a pained scream, she saw that Gehrman's leg was caught in the jaw.
“Gehrman!”, she yelled and then dashed towards the beast, her Rakuyo cut deep into the beasts snout and it wailed and let go off Gehrman, who fell to the ground with a grunt. Maria didn't stop there, pulled one of her swords out and used both blades to cut the neck of the beast with precision.
Hot blood spilled on the ground and Maria kneeled down, checking on Gehrman. “Gehrman, can you hear me? Hey!”, she said and waved a hand in front of him. His eyes slowly came back into focus and as he recognized her, he said: “Maria, are you alright?”
“You ask me if I am alright, you idiot?!”, Maria half yelled. “It wasn't me who almost got eaten! Give me the first-aid-kit, you need help with that leg!”
“The leg... feels like its on fire.”, Gehrman groaned. Maria's gaze wandered down to Gehrman's right leg, the one the beast had chewed one and she gasped. It looked like a bloody, red mess.
“Oh no...”, she said. “We need to get you back to the church, quick. That looks bad... really, really bad.”
“Nothing what Laurence can't fix with his blood ministration.”, Gehrman said and gave Maria a pained smile. Even in that condition he didn't want for her to worry too much. It would have been charming, if Maria wouldn't have been worried sick about him.
“Gehrman, the first-aid-kit.”, she said again and he finally reached into his coat to give it to her. It included some alcohol to clean out wounds, a piece of wood to bite on and some bandages. Not much, but it had to suffice until they could get Gehrman back to the church.
She took her Rakuyo up again and cut through Gehrman's pants, carefully removing the blood stained fabric from the wound, Gehrman hissing in pain as she was working. Once she was done and could see the whole extent of his wound, Maria drew in a sharp breath.
The leg practically only hang on thanks to a few muscle fibres, the resulting wound was large and bleeding profusely. Maria had the impression she barely would be able to do anything for it. She at least needed to apply some bandages to stop the bleeding.
“We need to patch you up and get you to Laurence as quick as possible.”, Maria said and handed Gehrman the wooden stick. “I will clean out the wound and then apply a pressure bandage to stop the bleeding. It will hurt, but you have to hold through.”
“I trust you, Maria.”, Gehrman said and put the stick in his mouth, closing his eyes, awaiting the pain.
Maria worked as quickly as she could, cleaning out the wound, nearly turning nauseous as she saw how much blood the gauze has soaked up, carefully aligning the leg back to where there still was flesh, having the feeling that it would rip open the moment Gehrman would even think about straining that leg and then applied a pressure bandage. During the whole procedure, Gehrman winced, gasped and hissed, but not screamed once, even though he must have been in excruciating pain.
“Alright.”, Maria said, helping Gehrman up and supporting him, his right arm slung over her shoulder. “We need to get you back to Laurence now. Don't strain that leg of yours at all.”
“It's that bad, huh...”, Gehrman said, not having seen anything, but surely he must have felt how bad it was.
“It... it barely hangs on anymore. I just hope that no beasts will be in our way...”, Maria said.
Gehrman grunted in pain: “I thought so...”
“Don't talk, save your strength for walking.”, Maria scolded him and the both of them started the trek back to the Cathedral. It wouldn't be a long walk usually, but with Gehrman having a completely unusable leg and on the night of the hunt, they were lucky when they would make it in an hour and Maria knew, that every second counted.
As anticipated, the walk was unbearable slow. Gehrman did his best, but he literally couldn't step on this leg, he had lost a lot of blood and he was in a lot of pain. It surprised Maria that he even was still conscious. It must have been the doing of the holy blood, a normal human would have died only a few minutes after sustaining such an injury. Maria even had two blood sources inside of her, but she swore to her to never use the one that Laurence called “Vileblood”. She didn't want to have anything to do with Cainhurst anymore, that part of her life was behind her.
“How much... farther...?”, Gehrman asked, voice weak, breath shallow.
“We will be there. Soon. Hold through.”, Maria reassured him, even though they only had walked for about ten minutes. She needed to keep Gehrman conscious, the moment he would faint, everything would be over. As strong as she was, it would be hard for even her, to carry such a tall man as Gehrman. Gehrman had always joked about how glad he was, that Laurence was so small, because it made him easy to carry. Maria could understand that now.
The trek continued, slowly. Maria occasionally glanced at Gehrman, talked to him, made sure that he was still there with her, that he would hold onto her. They seemed to be in incredible luck that no beasts were in their way, but of course eventually their luck had to ran out as a few beasts appeared in front of them. Not the large ones, the small ones, but they still could pose a threat in high numbers. Especially for Gehrman, who was unable to fight in his sate.
“Gehrman, I take care of that.”, Maria said, taking a few steps back. “Sit down, don't move and by the Great Ones, stay awake.”
Gehrman nodded to her as she let him go, taking her Rakuyo and dashed towards the beast group, her blades whirling through the group, blood sputtering everywhere, but mostly on Maria. It was normal for a Hunter. They would always be covered in blood. If they were skilled, it would never be their own blood.
“Damn.”, Maria hissed as another group of beasts approached before she even had finished dispatching the first one. As fast and skilled as she was, even she could get overwhelmed and she hissed again when the beasts managed to give her a few good scratches and bites. They hurt, but they were nothing compared to the injury that Gehrman was suffering.
Thinking about him, Maria glanced back to where she left him, worried and wanting to make sure that he was still awake. That turned out to be a deadly mistake. The moment she turned her head, a beast used that moment of inattention to bite deep into her shoulder. Maria screeched in sudden pain, trying to get the beast off, all while a dozen others swarmed around her.
“Maria!”, she heard a voice screaming and then something flashed next to her and the pain in her shoulder subdued. She didn't knew what happened, but she used this chance she got and cut down all the beasts around her. As soon as she was done, she stood there, heavily panting, bleeding out of several wounds. As her mind came back from the thrill of the hunt, she remembered Gehrman and her eyes frantically searched for him, gaze shot to where she left him.
She had to realize in horror that he wasn't there anymore, instead, he was laying on the ground in-between all that beast corpses and... his leg wasn't attached anymore.
“Gehrman, CRAP!”, Maria shouted, looking at the leg. “Crap crap crap...”, she continued to mutter while she got the first-aid-kit out and applied a new pressure bandage, which already turned red once she was done. Then, she helped Gehrman up, hissing because of the pain in her shoulder, but she didn't care.
“We need to get you to the cathedral immediately! Maybe... maybe your leg can still be...” Maria's voice trailed off. “We have to take it with us!” She bend down and picked up the leg, then started walking, practically dragging Gehrman with her.
“Maria... you are hurt...”, Gehrman said, his voice barely a whisper.
“I'll live.”, Maria simply answered. It was true that her wounds were bleeding and hurt, but they weren't as life threatening as Gehrman's. A blood ministration and she would be as good as new.
“You bleed...”, Gehrman continued. “Just let go of me... it is over anyway... Save yourself, Maria... I will only slow you down...”
“Gehrman, NO!”, Maria yelled. “You come with me and you stay with me! You would never leave someone behind. Never. I won't let you behind!”
“...please don't risk your life because of me...”, Gehrman's voice quivered, it sounded like he was close to crying.
“And what should I tell Laurence? That I left you behind to save my own hide? Even though there still was a chance to save you?!”, Maria said. “I won't leave you behind. I get you to the cathedral and we get you fixed up. So stay with me, Gehrman. You can do it! I won't let you die!”
Gehrman didn't reply anymore and when Maria looked at him, she knew why. He had fallen unconscious. “Oh fuck fuck fuck...”, Maria cursed under her breath. She could see the cathedral just in front of them, so... she didn't had a choice, even if that would worsen her own wounds.
“I will carry you the rest of the way.”, she said and lifted him up, despite her shoulder screaming at her not to put any more strain on it, despite every wound in her body oozing more blood. Once she managed to secure Gehrman over her shoulders, she started to ran.
Maria didn't had any sense of how time had passed once she busted through the doors of the cathedral. She saw Laurence standing there, holding something in his hands. It apparently was breakable, because he dropped it when he noticed both Gehrman's and Maria's state.
“Maria... get him in immediately, I may still be able to save his leg!”, Laurence screamed, pointing at one of the blood ministration rooms and then hurrying away, muttering something like “gloves... where is my fucking mask... ”
Maria managed to get Gehrman down on a stretcher in the room Laurence had pointed out, when he barged in and pretty much screamed at her. “Get out! And get a blood ministration yourself, you are bleeding out!”
Maria left the room and as soon as she had, she noticed how the adrenaline in her body left her, she was overtaken by an excruciating pain and a deep tiredness. She sank down and sat right in front of the door. No... she couldn't fell asleep. She needed that blood ministration. Laurence was right, she had lost too much blood and if her wounds wouldn't close, she would surely die of blood loss. Or overtaken by her vileblood and that would be even worse.
She knew that Gehrman wouldn't be happy waking up with his girlfriend being dead and as much as she wanted to stay and see first hand if Laurence succeeded, she forced herself to get up and stumble to the next best blood minister, who gave her a blood ministration immediately. As she was lying on the stretcher, Maria couldn't fight the drowsiness anymore and fell into an uneasy sleep.
Once she awoke, her wounds were closed, her pain was gone and she jumped on her feet immediately. What about Gehrman? How much time had even passed? Minutes? Hours? Days? No, she doubted it had been days, she felt too fresh. Well, as fresh as someone who was covered in blood could feel. Still, she had to know about his condition.
As she ran into the direction of the blood ministration room in which Laurence had taken care of Gehrman, she passed his office, the door ajar, and saw him slumped over his desk. Maria stopped and barged into it.
“How is he?!”, she yelled, both hands slammed on the desk.
“Good morning to you too.”, Laurence said, not looking up. He had something in his hands that looked like the vials used for the blood ministration, just smaller.
“Laurence, I am not in the mood for jokes.”, Maria warned. “How is he?”
Laurence still didn't look her into the eyes. Maria's heart sank from her chest into her stomach, that wasn't a good sign.
“...He's alive.”, Laurence finally answered. “But I couldn't save it...”
“Couldn't... you mean...”, Maria's heart seemed to sink from her stomach even more down, right into her pants.
Laurence nodded: “...I couldn't save his leg. It was too late. The body wasn't accepting it anymore. I... had to amputate the stump from the knee down. The blood closed the wound from the surgery without trouble, but... it can't grow back a leg.”
“Oh no...”, Maria said. “Gehrman, I am so sorry. It is my fault. He lost the leg because I wasn't paying attention...”
“He said he wanted to see you once you wake up.”, Laurence said. “Go to him.”
Maria turned around and was on her way to the door, when she turned around to look at Laurence another time. He didn't look good, pale, dark circles under his eyes. They looked reddened too, had he cried?
“Have you even slept, Laurence?”, Maria asked.
“Of course not.”, Laurence practically snapped at her. “I have better things to do than sleeping!” He then put his attention back to the small vial with blood in his hands.
“...It has to do with Gehrman's leg, right?”, Maria asked.
“Just go to him.”, Laurence said. “And close the door once you are gone.”
It was clear to Maria that he didn't want to talk to her anymore, so she left, closed the door and made her way to the room Gehrman was in. A slight panic bubbled up in her chest. What if Gehrman would hate her? What if he never wanted to see her again? She couldn't help but feel responsible for his leg.
As soon as she stood in front of the door, Maria took a deep breath and knocked, announcing: “Gehrman, it's me, Maria. I am coming in.” She didn't wait for an answer and opened the door, entering into a dimly lit room, where Gehrman was lying in a cot.
“Maria.”, he said as she stepped next to the cot. “Are you alright?”
“You idiot! Why are you the one asking me?! Again?!”, Maria said, tears welling in her eyes. “I should be the one asking you!”
“I fear that I have been better.”, Gehrman gave Maria a weak smile. “Maria, I have to apologize. I put you under intense stress when I requested that you leave me behind. I am sorry.”
Maria couldn't help the tears spilling out of her eyes anymore. “You... why do you apologize? You lost your leg because of me! If I only had paid better attention...” Maria sat down on the edge of the cot and wiped her tears with her sleeve. It was still red from blood, she had ran straight to Gehrman, instead of taking a shower. That could wait.
“No, Maria, it was my own fault. I decided to barge in, because you are so important to me, that the thought of losing you made me act unreasonable. If I should have trusted in your abilities, then I wouldn't have lost my leg.”
“...Gehrman... if you hadn't thrown yourself between me and the beast, it could have been me on that cot, a limb lighter.”, Maria sniffled. “Stop trying to make me feel better.”
“I mean it.”, Gehrman said and Maria felt how his arms engulfed her and she felt herself falling down in his embrace. “That I lost the leg was my own fault. I plan to not let it get me down. I will be the first hunter with only one leg, you will see.”
“Gehrman...”, Maria said, turning her head to look into his eyes and then averting her gaze. “I am still sorry! I never wanted for something like that to happen to you! I need to get stronger as a hunter!”
“Then let's get stronger as hunters together.”, Gehrman said and released Maria from his hug, she slowly got back up, wiping her freshly shed tears away.
“Have you seen Laurence?”, Gehrman asked. “He seemed to have taken that whole leg thing worse than I have. He kept apologizing to me and cried his eyes out because he failed to save it. It was pretty similar to you actually.”
“He's in his office, working on something.”, Maria said. So he indeed had cried, she knew it.
“I thought so.”, Gehrman said. “He muttered something like that the blood ministration needed to become mobile.”
“That would explain the tiny vial with blood he was tampering with.”, Maria said. “Gehrman, you are really alright with that? Your leg is gone. It... it will never come back.”
Gehrman sighed and then replied: “I know that I never will get it back, that is why I decided to come to terms with it.” He gave Maria a squeeze and then chuckled: “As much as I love to see you, maybe you should take a shower, my love. There doesn't seem to be a single spot on you that isn't full of blood.”
“As if you are looking a lot better.”, Maria said, grinning the first time since she had entered the room. “I will clean myself up and then come back right away.”
On her way to the door, Gehrman called to her again: “Oh and Maria? Convince Laurence to get some sleep.”
Maria turned around with a smile and said: “You need to stop caring about others and care for yourself once, my beloved. After all, you have been the one who lost a leg.” (Author's note: So, how do you like my headcanon about how Gehrman lost his leg? It was actually the reason why Laurence started to experiment with the blood vials and came up with them. Because sometimes help is needed right away.)

Single character: Lady Maria
Duo: Father Gascoigne and Old Hunter Henryk
I'm going to begin with them because I would have a lot of things to say about Maria later.
Tumblr media
I think they're really cool characters with quite a tragic fate. They had everything... they were so close to escape this nightmare when you think about it... and they lost everything. But it's too bad we didn't get too much info on that (need to read more fic I guess). It's really the first big not too much implicit thing you can understand too.
So I don't ship them too but people can do what they want. For me they have huge bbf/bro vibes. They were hunt partner from awhile. So really close friends.
I'm not sure Henryk was really related to Viola but he was considered like a "grandfather" by the little girl. Like a member of the family so he was sure really close to all of them. (the cute family stuff would be the fluff case)
About our dear Lady of the Astral Clock Tower now (thank you for asking as well !) :
Tumblr media
Alright so like some of you might know I really love Lady Maria (she's like in my top 3 I guess?!) I can't stop making stuff about her. She's my favorite boss of the entire game too ! I just love it. Look at this beautiful dance.
She's so mysterious and her story is so tragic T_T... (and her aesthetic 👌please bring it back I want the same clothes) There's a lot of different interpretations about her too. She might have been quite different in real life to what we saw during her fight ! But you know it's complicated & people argue about it smt, but anyway.
I'm not going to develop everything too or I'm never going to finished XD
Wasted potential : it's more about what we were rob of. You know the cut extra npc dialogues content :) (I will always be mad about it. It's the cut content the closest as canon for me ok)
So if we look only at the boss fight yep she's scary. And I'm not going to marry anyone so it's a joke ok XD she's one of the few video game female characters that made me go : "M'am ! O_O"
About the "oh it's me" / "project my issues" : Well it's been a while I'm feeling much better in my life (even if I still can get anxious fast and still working and self confidence). But some years ago it wasn't easy. So I guess that could help me to understand/interpret how she was.
(I was not feeling good bc of Mergo at some point. And thanks to this and a comic&fic... I think Maria might had a similar reaction the the Fishing Hamlet and all that stuff) We're different but really similar at times I think. Oh and it helps me for her potential backstory as well (& relationship with her family). It's much more drama than a really thing too. But apparently not as much as some people here imagined XD

Swordswoman Showdown Round 2 Part 1
Lady Oscar Fracois de Jarjayes (Rose of Versailles) vs Lady Maria (Bloodborne)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Better here in a "preferred character" sense, not "who would win in a fight")
Propaganda below cut
Lady Oscar
She is the commander of the royal guard of the Versailles Palace, also the bodyguard of the Queen Marie Antoniette, she has a thin sword and excels with it to the point that one of the first plot points is how she can defeat any man while also embracing being a woman; I love her and she gets all the ladies at court flustered, very gnc character she is described both as handsome and beautiful and she is so cool and techaes another girl to fight with swords and she cucks the monarchy when discivering the inequality outside the palace :v idk i just think she is iconic
I'll argue that Lady Oscar is *the* pioneer for sword women in shoujo anime, she walked so Utena could run, and inspired a bunch of other anime outside the demographic, like Beserk. TLDR Lady Oscar is one of the best female leads with a sword; She's hot. I feel like the 70's-80's era of anime is often neglected. Swords. I'll be surprised if no one else nominates Rose of Versailles.
If you think Utena is swordy, this woman INSPIRED her creation. She’s badass and better than everyone at the sword; Everyone is in love with her. And I mean EVERYONE. Also, Rococo aesthetic and gorgeous artwork, AND she’s a big BIG deal in early shoujo and still is.
a soldier for france + swordfights often; "Despite being raised as if she were a boy and dressing in males' clothes, Oscar is open about being female. Even as she embraces her femininity, she uses her male position to gain freedoms that she could never have as a lady of the court."
Lady MariaShe has a double-bladed sword called Rakuyo that can split in two to be dual-wielded; She's haunting the narrative and the whole game foreshadows her existenceShe wields the rakuyo, twin-bladed trick weapon that can transform into a matching katana and dagger, making it a versatile weapon; She one of the highest-ranked Hunters in the game, and fights like an experienced PVP opponent. Liberate you from your wild curiosity."She fights with a sick twin bladed sword which can split into two smaller swords, She was too hard and I couldn't beat her :'(Duel wielding sword and dagger that combine as a twin blade; Best boss in the game. Also taller than your character by a full head. Her outfit is fashion as fuck as well.

Timeline Of Key Events On This Blog
The movies and various materials concerning Jack tend to feck up continuity at every turn. I’m going with a bunch of the wiki for the most part but taking my own liberties with On Stranger Tides and some other bits.
1690 - Jack Sparrow born to Edward Teague and unknown mother (likely I’ll make something up come the time) in the middle of a hurricane
1699 (age 9) - Meets Esmeralda Maria Consuela Anna de Sevilla aka Quiauhxochitl, later to be his first love
1706 (age 16) - After years of growing up around Shipwreck Cove, Jack assembles his first crew upon the Barnacle to look for the Sword of Cortés. He finds the City of the Dead and steals the eye of Stone-Eyed Sam. In the same year he meets mermaids at Isla Serena, tricking his way out of remaining their prisoner, and later releases the spirit of Montezuma to defeat Cortés. Meets Tia Dalma for the first time. (Material taken from wiki - not read by meself)
At some point during this time Jack meets Tia Dalma again and barters something for the renowned compass.
1710 (age 20) - Reunited with Esmeralda. Has a first kiss with her, though I think I’ll take liberties that he had his actual first kiss with a mermaid and probably kissed a few ladies before this. He’s a pirate and twenty wasn’t young then! Amid a fight between the Rogue Pirates and those of Shipwreck Cove, Jack runs off and joins the East India Trading Company with Robby Greene, a defector of the Rogues.
1715 (age 25) -  Amid disagreements with Beckett he parts ways for a while and sails once again with pirates. The dreaded pirate hunter, Salazar, attempts to wipe out all pirate kind. After having his compass returned to him by the dying Captain Morgan and told never to betray it, he tricks Salazar to his doom and earns himself the name Captain Jack Sparrow, captain of the Wicked Wench.
1716 (age 26) - Despite attempts to get back into the EITC’s favour, Jack refuses to transport a cargo of slaves for Beckett and sets them free instead. As punishment, he is branded and his ship is sunk. Jack sells his soul to Davy Jones in exchange for raising his ship from the depths and the right to captain her for thirteen years. He becomes captain of the Black Pearl.
1718 (age 28) - Three days into the search for the treasure of Cortés, Jack reveals the whereabouts of Isla de Muerta to his first mate Hector Barbossa who stages a mutiny. Jack is marooned and escapes after three days.
[Insert varied adventures all around the globe, likely including his dalliances with Angelica]
1728 (age 38) - Events of The Curse of the Black Pearl.
1729 (age 39) - Events of Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End.
1734 (age 44) - Difference from canon. This is where I set the events for On Stranger Tides. He gets distracted from his quest for the Fountain of Youth and finding the Pearl due to varied other adventures. He spends years trying to get the Pearl out of her bottle and all but gives up until he runs into Barbossa again.
[Insert many adventures]
1751 (age 61) - Events of Dead Men Tell No Tales with liberal edits where I see fit. I’ll accept Jack is 61 at this point however his exposure to the Fountain of Youth means that he looks more late 40′s/early 50′s.
Beyond - Angelica’s love for Jack, in spite of her hatred for him, seeps into the voodoo doll and has been doing so for some time. Her connection to the Fountain of Youth transfers some of her essence to him, restoring Jack to the vivacity of his 30′s-40′s until such point he finds a way to truly become the Immortal Captain Jack Sparrow.

Bloodborne
’m gonna assume this is for this meme! Thank you anon!
001 | Send me a fandom and I will tell you my:
Favorite character: Gilbert, Eileen, and The Doll are all tied for first. I love them all so much, equally, but for different reasons.
Least Favorite character: Eehh, probably Gehrman to be honest.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): The Hunter/Gilbert, Lady Maria/Saint Adeline, Gascoigne/Viola, Henryk/Djura, Yurie/The Hunter (specifically ladies or enby hunters, Yurie is not into dudes).
Character I find most attractive: I mean, hands down Lady Maria
Character I would marry: Gilbert. He is, as far we know, one of the few decent people in the game
Character I would be best friends with: Ideally Eileen, maybe Djura and the Doll too
a random thought: The statues on the bridge leading to Cathedral Ward are some of my favorite set pieces, not only with the aesthetics, but also with the lore connections. They look like people seeking aid, praying for help, and even weeping, which makes sense for both times, during the height of the Healing Churchs’ influence, and during the time the game is set in when everything is decaying and rotting away.
An unpopular opinion: I don’t know if it’s an unpopular opinion or not, but I have always wondered over the “Older Sister” that you meet in Gascoigne and Viola’s home after you tell the Young Girl where to go. I doubt that she’s actually the sister and oldest daughter of Viola and Gascoigne, but rather a playmate to the young girl from a different family who either has already lost her parents, or who’s family wasn’t very kind/loving and so she was jealous of the Young Girl for having good parents and thus pretended to be part of the family when the Young Girl left. I do love the two young girls as sisters though.
My Canon OTP: Gascoigne/Viola
My Non-canon OTP: All the ones in the top 5 ship question along with Viola/Eileen, Henryk/Djura, Henryk/Gascoigne, Yurie/Saint Adelaine, Yurie/Lady Maria, and and all the ships I have for The Hunter (specifically mine lol).
Most Badass Character: Viola, for going out into the streets to find and save her husband, and Eileen, for being an amazing mentor and continuing to do what she thinks is right even though she doesn’t dream anymore.
Most Epic Villain: Probably Ludwig. I really like his design, and while I would hesitate to call any of the bosses in the game the “villain”, I think in terms of lore, he has a pretty big impact, not to mention the cutscene in the middle of his fight, the dialogue, and the music all come together to make a really memorable moment and boss fight.
Pairing I am not a fan of: Gehrman/Maria, for a few reasons, including some personal ones.
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I don’t think they really screwed up any of the characters, but I do wish they had done a couple things differently with Gascoigne, Viola, Henryk, and the Young Girl.
I think it would have been interesting if you got to summon Gascoigne and/or Henryk during the Cleric Beast fight, and I almost wish that they placed the Father Gasoigne fight after Vicar Amelia that way they both could be summoned for that fight too. Gascoigne and Henryk could both then have some dialogue about Viola and the Young Girl, and there could be some subtle dialogue about Gascoigne’s risk of going blood drunk and mad. That would then make it so that when you meet the Young Girl and she tells you her mom is missing because her dad wasn’t being himself, that would make that entire quest even more heartwrenching, especially when you see Henryk has also gone mad after you have to kill Viola.
Otherwise, if that hadn’t happened, I wish you could have found Viola before she dies, and instead could have sent her back home to her daughter with the promise that you’d do your best to save Gascoigne, even though he’d still be a major and necessary boss fight.
I think you should be able to save the Young Girl regardless though, she should’ve been able to be saved, and I wouldn’t have minded that being an escort quest/mission tbh.
I also think it would have been nice if you could save Gilbert and/or Eileen.
Favourite Friendship: Eileen & The Hunter, or I like to imagine Henryk, Gascoigne, Djura, and Eileen were all friends with each other too.
Character I most identify with: Probably Lady Maria. I too have thought of locking myself in a tower out of guilt over things I’ve done and wish to hide/forget but can’t. Otherwise...maybe the Hunter? Because I too am clueless about most things but also curious and when I can tell there is something or there’s an interesting puzzle, then I would also like to understand it all.
Character I wish I could be: I mean, probably Eileen, if I had to choose. She’s one of the few morally decent people, and she’s also super cool.

Philindaisy AU plot ideas!
Here are some Philindaisy Alternate Universe plot ideas I’m giving up for adoption. If any of you want to write them, please just credit me for the idea. These are free to do with them as you wish. No strings attached. Here you go:
Zombie Apocalypse AU:      Zombie Apocalypses are supposed to be something only in Hollywood, until Fitzsimmons’ lab is attacked and Hydra releases an Alien Virus collected from the Kree. People on base go insane, First muttering about their “calling” before going on a rampage for uninfected human flesh. Coulson and May are on a time crunch to help Fitzsimmons create a cure, while Daisy discovers that all inhumans are immune. Desperate to Get Daisy back safely, Coulson and May head out to bring her back, fighting through those who were former colleagues.      When the virus takes hold of Phil, suddenly everything gets worse as Melinda has to wrangle him back to safety, along with an unconscious Daisy…
Pirate AU:    While on a raid, Pirate Captain Melinda May stumbles across Tavern Cook Phil Coulson. She spares him, (mostly because he was shirtless and easy on the eyes), and forces him along to work in the galley of her ship. Very quickly, Melinda falls for him. They spar at one point, Phil proves himself with both sword and firearm, and Melinda raises his status in rank. Eventually, he saves her life and she makes him first mate, much to the horror and jealousy of former first mate Grant Ward.    Melinda makes Grant Ward walk the plank eventually when he betrays her and tries to kill Melinda in her sleep. Luckily, Phil had been there, doing a fine job at keeping May far from sleep (wink, wink). Little does she know that he is soon picked up by a trading ship. While Melinda makes herself Pirate Queen of the High Seas, she becomes closer and closer to Phil Coulson. During a raid on a small port, Melinda pucks up a child, a seven-year-old orphan girl named Daisy, and brings her aboard with the excuse that she could wash dishes, when really Melinda begins training her in combat. Phil helps as well, and other crew members challenge Melinda, saying she is getting soft. Phil discourages the potential mutiny, and teaches Crew member!Lance Hunter, a thing or two about respecting the ladies.     Eventually Grant Ward returns with a fleet of ships he has conquered, hellbent on getting his revenge and seizing Melinda’s hefty cargo of Pirate Treasure…
Medieval AU:      New King Phillip of House Coulson is set to pick a bride. His mother, Queen dowager Julie, has set before him the best choices for alliances, the lovely Lady Audrey, and Duchess Rosalind. But one night at the ball, Phillip is enchanted with the quiet woman who dances with incredible grace and style. She’s exotic in beauty and Phil is smitten when, alone with her on a balcony, the woman stops an attempted assassination. Phillip had found his bride, Lady Melinda of house May. But his mother may not be so happy, insisting that Phil choose from her selection. When the wedding day comes, Phillip lies to Lady Audrey, and sets Melinda in a duplicate dress, her face covered by a thick veil. By the time their vows are said, and the veil removed, Julie has nothing to say except to welcome Melinda into the family with the most forced smile Phillip has ever seen. Phil finally gets to kiss his bride.     It takes only several moons before Julie is told an Heir is on it’s way. A proud future grandmother, Queen Dowager Julie orders a magical reading of the unborn child. The magician has nothing to say, only leaves screaming like a madman. Afraid for what that means, Melinda is hidden from the public until the royal couple’s long awaited son -erm- daughter is born, a healthy baby girl whom they name Daisy. But soon it becomes apparent that the child is much more powerful then she seems, and Julie is blaming Melinda for bewitching the child....
Shapeshifter AU:      Melinda May-Coulson never shape-shifts. It’s simply easier to hide her gift then to flaunt it and be despised. Most people can shift into a small animal. Dogs, cats, bears, owls, and snakes are common. Horses and Lions are considered lucky. Some are even more amazing, holding within themselves more mythical forms. Every now and then, Griffins and Pegasi are made celebrities. But Melinda? Melinda is the only dragon she has ever heard of. So she is ashamed, hides her form until it becomes unbearable and she shifts alone in her home, filling the entire living room with shining dark blue and glittering silver scales, always leaving behind a scent of burnt tea and Lavender when she stretches her tight coil.       Phil is a more common form, simply a golden retriever that Melinda finds adorable. Sometimes he shifts to make her happy, running around her legs in circles, looking up at her with those big, round, soft blue eyes. He doesn’t ask for her to shift, has never seen her completely. He doesn’t judge her secrecy, understands it even, saying he knew someone who was a rat. (Melinda insists she is much more regal than a rat, of all things)       Life goes on until Phil’s friend, Maria, gives them a call about a girl that desperately needs a home. So the Coulson’s take her in, a little girl right out of the Hunan province in China, a new American name, Daisy, foreign to her ears, speaking rapidly in broken Mandarin that only Melinda understands.       One day, Daisy comes home early with Phil, and they walk outside into the backyard to find Melinda in her dragon form, and to Phil’s shock, Daisy screams with surprise and with a spark of light, becomes a dragon herself, finding her way to Melinda. Blue and silver scales shine with White and gold while a golden retriever yaps happily between them.
Hunger Games AU:    Hunger Games Victor Melinda May is living her quiet life with her husband Phil Coulson and single daughter, Daisy, in the Victor’s Village of district seven. But as the year’s days come closer and closer to the  reaping, Melinda suffers her annual PTSD from the horrors of her time in the arena, twelve years ago. Waking up in cold sweats or to the sound of her own scream is nothing new to  Melinda, her dreams haunted with the faces of the other tributes she’d watched die.    As her daughter nears fifteen, Melinda fears more and more until the inevitable happens; and Daisy is drawn as this year’s female tribute of District seven, alongside of Lincoln Campbell. Mournfully, Melinda is forced to accompany her own daughter on the train to The Capital, and give her five days of training and support before Daisy is thrust into the nightmare of the Hunger Games. Under strict orders from President Snow, Melinda has to force herself not to be biased while helping out both Daisy and Lincoln. While Phil watches at home, Melinda breaks while her daughter marches into a certain death sentence…
Star Wars AU:     Phil is the perfect Jedi. Bound to the code, completing all his missions successfully and with ease. Melinda? Melinda is a more radical Jedi. She breaks the code left and right, follows the force instead of the rules. She is unable to stay in one place for long, always moving with her fifth year Palawan, Daisy Johnson.      While on a mission, the two are paired up, living undercover as royals to another planet, Daisy poses as their princess daughter, meaning to try to swoon the prince, Robbie Reyes in order to get information while Jedi Masters May and Coulson search the palaces and crime families. But old fires are reignited, and Phil has to bury the feelings for Melinda while they advise Daisy to do the same, with the predicament at hand; Phil is hopelessly in love with Melinda, and Daisy might be in love with her perfect prince fit for a Jedi knight…
Matrix AU:     Living on the Zephyr, proud sister ship to the  Nebuchadnezzar, Captain Melinda May trains her new recruits, a handful of young adults fresh out of the Matrix. Her co-captain, Phil Coulson helps her as they navigate their confusing, underground world. But with a ship full of uncontrollable youngsters, the kids take it upon themselves to get the two captains together.
Demon AU:     When Audrey is killed in a car accident, Phil, under the guilt that it was his fault, takes it upon himself to revive his girlfriend. One night alone at a bar, he finds what he’s looking for. A woman who shimmers with an unearthly aura of sinful villainy. So Phil makes a deal, and Audrey is brought back, but Phil must stay with his new mistress: a demon under the name Melinda, better known as the Cavalry. He becomes her sex toy, like a human pet she keeps.  Phil soon discovers that the longer he stays with Melinda, the more hellish he becomes. Soon he has to make a choice; stay human, or accept his fate and find that there is more to Melinda then what meets his reddening eyes.      By the time Phil is no longer visible to the human eye unless he wills it, Phil has said goodbye to Audrey, and returned to Melinda’s side, ready to watch her belly grow. Somehow, someway, what was left of his human flesh has sparked a life inside his mistress, and Melinda is unsure what this means. As Phil falls for Melinda, the weight of his deal with her lessens, and therefor he pledges himself to her, for the rest of eternity.      When the child is born, Melinda misses her free days, and gives Phil their daughter, breaking off their deal. But Phil no longer wants Audrey. He wants to have Melinda back. So he sets off to reclaim her, all the while working through the surprises raising a half-demon child holds.
Writer/Editor  AU:     Phil is an esteemed author, having written the hits of the teen and young adult section. Melinda is an editor, desperate to get a job, and quick. She finds Phil in need of an Editor, and she snatches up the opportunity. As they spend more time together working though, Melinda starts to fall for him.      Daisy is Melinda’s adopted daughter. After school, she has found herself taking the bus to Phil’s house instead of her own. Her Mom is acting weird, more cheerful than usual and always talking about how wonderful her client’s book is going to be. Daisy just wants her mom back to herself again, without distracting men taking up her time. But on the flip side, Phil Coulson is a bright man who respects her, and always gives full attention to a conversation (Something Daisy craves). He’s kind and generous, even helps out when May sues her neighbor, Grant Ward, for sexual harassment. Daisy can’t help but not like Phil.     As Melinda edits Phil’s work, she finds herself more and more invested in him. Daisy is happier now, and Melinda has found someone she is truly comfortable talking to. When the book is finally finished, and Phil leaves for the press tour, Melinda misses him. Phil reveals that the main characters of his books are based off people he loves, and Melinda gets his memo immediately. There must be someone else.     Phil returns to May excited from the public’s reaction to his book, but disappointed when Melinda no longer sticks around. Eventually he puts the pieces together, explaining that the heroine of his book is based off Melinda herself.
