Link: Hey Sonic,l what’s up.
Sonic: Not much, just had a realization.
Link: Oh?
Sonic: Yeah. I just realized that Puss in Boots: the Last Wish is an animated kids version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Link: ... You’re gonna have to elaborate on that one buddy.
Sonic: Oh, it’s easy. See the first big fight for the protagonist in both is against a giant and monstrous foe that would be the final boss anywhere else, Metal Gear Ray/The Giant.
Link: Okay but I still don’t-
Sonic: Then the protagonist fights against a superior foe who seems like just some guy who defeats the protag and challenges his ideals, Jetstream Sam/Death.
Link: I mean... you’re not-
Sonic: THEN, the protag fights a female boss who thinks he’s cute, Mistral/Softpaws, after acquiring a canine companion, Bladewolf/Perrito. Then comes the fight against an absolute scumbag, Monsoon/Jack Horner. Then the protag fights their rival again after having rethought their ideals and changed as a person and wins where before they lost, Sam/Death again. And finally, the real final boss against a roided-out rich guy after power, Giant Jack Horner/Senator Armstrong.

The Giant (1/16)
Tumblr media
A giant/ tiny vore romance fantasy about a tiny woman that finds herself trapped in the clutches of a very large, hungry giant.
Total Word Count: 44,030
This is the first full story I ever wrote, and I didn't write it initially with the intention of sharing it, so it's a bit rough around the edges. It's also very bizarre and cringe, but if the idea of being eaten alive by a hot giant man titillates you, you'll probably enjoy it. If you decide to give it a chance at least read to chapter 3 because that's when the good stuff starts (lol).
This story contains tons of vore, mouthplay, fluff, some violence, and some sexual content.
------ Chapter 1 ------
The storm was terrible. My car practically swam through the rain. The windshield wipers, despite their frantic swiping, failed to make a dent in the deluge. Occasionally a flash of lightning lit up the black storm clouds, followed by rolling thunder. Even though the sun had just begun to set, the sky was already dark as night. I sighed and glanced at my cell phone. Still no service. I was driving through the middle of nowhere and had a long way to go. With the weather this bad, I wasn’t making much headway. Even with no other cars on the road I had to drive slowly due to low visibility.
Just as I considered pulling over and finding a motel, a bolt of lightning shot out of the sky and slammed into my car. The suddenness of the event caused me to swerve off the road as I was momentarily startled by the loud explosion and blinded by the bright flash. My car rolled down a long, steep embankment, crashed into something, and everything went dark. I sat for a moment in shock, listening to the pouring rain. Tried to start my car. Nothing but smoke. Tried again. Nothing. The lightning bolt had fried the electronics. Great.
I sat for a moment, pondering what to do. I couldn’t call anyone without cell service. I certainly didn’t want to go out in the rain, but staying in the car was not exactly a viable option either. The windshield was broken, allowing rain and cold to seep into the car. Waiting here would not solve my problems. My car needed to be towed and repaired. If I got lucky and followed the road I might be able to hitch a ride from a passing motorist. Resigned, I grabbed my raincoat, phone, and flashlight and stepped out into the rain.
I started to trudge through the mud toward where I assumed the road would be. My car had slid down pretty far into the tall weeds. The vegetation here was odd, like grass but the blades were thick and came up to my chest. I stepped over a few fallen tree limbs on my way up the hill. When I finally reached the top I stopped, confused. The road was gone. I tried looking around with my flashlight but the terrain was completely different, just more mud and that weird tall grass. What the hell was going on? I turned and shined my flashlight toward my car at the bottom of the hill. The way it had rolled, the road would have to be here. Maybe the car had slid farther than I thought? I continued walking in the only possible direction the car could have come from.
The rain continued to pour in huge fat drops splashing all over, obscuring my vision even with my flashlight. Not to mention the night seemed to have gotten even darker, except for the sporadic flash of lightning. I walked past a large boulder, another tree limb, large wet puddles. A deep consternation began to well up inside of me. None of this was right. I should have reached the road by now. Unexpectedly, I stepped on something crunchy and looked down. The sight gave me pause. I had stepped on a leaf--but this was no ordinary leaf. The leaf was bigger than my entire body. I pondered this mystery for a moment and looked around. What about the trees? I hadn’t noticed before because of the darkness that I hadn’t seen any trees, but now I could just make out massive silhouettes spaced out around me in the gloom. If those were trees, they were the biggest trees I had ever seen in my life. Forgetting about the road for a moment, I waded through the muck towards one of the large shadows to get a closer look.
I didn’t think that redwoods were native to this area--hell, I hadn’t seen any on my drive over--so naturally I was curious. Finally, I got close enough that my flashlight could shine a light on one of the huge shadows. Except what I saw wasn’t a tree, rather than bark it was a smooth brown texture, almost like leather. I felt the rounded surface with my bare hand. Whatever it was, it was not a naturally occurring structure, but rather man-made. As I shined my light over more the mystery object I felt a jolt of shock as I recognized the details. I was touching the toe of a gigantic boot that was easily the size of a school bus. And the boot was not alone. I slowly raised my flashlight up to illuminate cloth pants, a towering leg, and the colossal shape of a man so gargantuan the light beam could not reach high enough to illuminate his whole being.
My blood ran cold and I froze in place, unable to make the slightest movement. Had the giant seen me? I was so miniscule compared to his massive size. He towered over me like a skyscraper. A crash of lightning flashed across the sky, and for just a moment the colossus was fully visible. He was staring directly down at me from a terrifying height. At that moment my heart jumped into my throat and I turned to run as fast as I could. Despite my panicked efforts the mud sucked at my shoes and I could not run very fast at all. I blindly sprinted into a puddle and started treading water frantically, adrenaline coursing through my veins. In my haste I dropped my flashlight and one of my legs got tangled in some roots. I cried out in fear and struggled to free myself. Before I could escape an enormous hand plunged into the water all around me and scooped me up with ease. I couldn’t help letting out a squeak of panic as huge strong fingers thicker than my torso closed around my body, pinning my arms to my sides.
I was then lifted up what felt like hundreds of feet into the air as the giant straightened to his full height. I felt dizzy and disoriented. Another bolt of lightning revealed a huge human face with intelligent eyes closely scrutinizing my tiny form. I could only imagine what he was thinking. I must’ve looked pathetic--drenched in water, shaking uncontrollably, like a drowned rat. Hopefully I didn’t look tasty to him. I felt a wave of nausea at the horrible thought that I could easily fit inside his mouth. He could probably swallow me whole without even chewing. I started to cry tears and squirmed in his iron grip, knowing all the well how futile my actions were.
After staring at me for a long, agonizing moment, the giant opened the lapel of his coat and gently placed me underneath it against his vast chest, as if to shelter me from the rain. This action was the last thing that I had expected but it wasn’t entirely unwelcome. Finally, I wasn’t being pelted by pouring rain; his shirt was thankfully dry, his body soft and warm. I could hear the slow, rhythmic beating of his massive heart, so different from the frantic knocking of my own. His chest rose and fell with steady gusts of breath from immense lungs. Despite my fear the sensations were strangely soothing. The titanic wall of flesh I was pressed against began to move as the giant walked forward with powerful strides. I shivered and curled up as best I could to get comfortable.
I felt confused, frightened, and exhausted. I was powerless to move or try to escape. What was going to happen to me? I could only speculate. Would I be gutted like a fish? Dismembered in a gory mess, my limbs torn off one by one? Dropped in a pan of sizzling oil and boiled alive? Or perhaps eaten raw, savored on the tongue like a piece of candy before being sucked down a dark gullet and dumped into his cavernous stomach still alive? As brutal as my imagination was, it was the last thought that made me shudder in particular. I collapsed inward on myself and wept until I was completely drained and lost consciousness.

The Giant (2/16)
***Contains mouthplay, fearplay, and a lot of cringe writing (I promise it gets better lol)***
------ Chapter 2 ------
When I next opened my eyes, I was staring blankly up at a ceiling very far away, and bathed in the soft blue light of early morning. My whole body was wrapped up in a very large, fuzzy towel. For a moment my mind was groggy, then the terrifying memories came flooding back in a rush. But… I was alive. And unharmed. Was it all a dream? I lay still for a moment without moving. I became aware of the soft ambience of frogs and crickets chirping outside an open window. However, a far more frightening sound--heavy masculine breathing--violently pulled me out of my stupor. Frozen in place, I slowly turned my head to look to the side, and felt a stab of fear. The giant that had snatched me up last night was laying down not too far from me, his sprawling body looming over me like a mountain. Fortunately, he was asleep.
Carefully, so as not to make any noise, I wriggled out of the towel--which proportional to the giant was probably more like a washcloth--and surveyed my surroundings. I was on a gargantuan bed that must’ve been at least two hundred feet long, probably more for all I knew. I tiptoed over to the side and peeked over the edge to see how far I was from the ground. I felt my heart flutter in my chest. Way too high to jump off. I might be able to climb down somehow, but it would be risky, and very scary. I hesitated. I had to admit, in spite of my instinctive fear, I was curious. The giant, as enormous as he was, had not tried to hurt me, and had actually been quite gentle when handling me. Could it be possible that he was friendly?
I turned around and quietly, cautiously, walked toward his mountainous form. I couldn’t help but think, if not for his impossible size, he would look like an ordinary man. I walked past one of his hands, admiring the fingers that were as big as tree trunks, the fleshy palm as large as a mattress. In order to get a closer look at his face, I climbed up onto his pillow. He had a handsome countenance, clean shaven, with short dark hair. Even when laying on his side, with his head sinking into the pillow, his face was still taller than me standing upright. Truly mind-boggling.
Suddenly, the giant began to stir, and I realized too late I had made a terrible mistake in climbing so close to his face. He opened his mouth into a gaping yawn, and I gawked at teeth bigger than kitchen floor tiles, a huge slimy tongue, and the entryway to the back of his fleshy red throat. Despite my frenetic attempt to pull back, the giant had reflexively moved his hand to cover his mouth, as a person would normally do when yawning, which had the horrifying effect of pushing me INTO his gigantic maw! I screamed and struggled to no avail as the massive jaws slammed shut, trapping me inside. I was pinned between the muscular tongue and the roof of his mouth, and couldn’t help but stare in horror down into the dark abyss of his throat. I felt hot, moist breath on my face emanating from deep inside. The tongue undulated and pressed firmly against me, and I realized with sickening dread that the giant was tasting me. The mouth was filling up with a pool of saliva. I squirmed and clawed at the tongue desperately as my slippery body started to slide down into the gullet. I shrieked in fear when I saw the throat muscles contract, thinking I was going to be swallowed alive, but miraculously the excessive saliva that had accumulated was instead drained down. The cage of teeth opened and I felt two enormous fingers grab my midsection and drag me back out into the light.
For a moment I was so shocked and overwhelmed I couldn’t process anything. The realization that I had almost been eaten alive was just too much. I couldn’t stop shaking. The giant fingers gingerly set me down into the palm of the other hand and my legs collapsed beneath me like they were made of jelly. Even though I was so scared I had nowhere to run. I craned my neck back to look up into the face of the huge giant towering over me. He had a slightly pained expression on his face. Then, to my surprise, he spoke.
“Um… sorry about that. Are you alright little one?” Though I could tell he was trying to speak gently his voice still boomed loudly due to his size. I couldn’t help but cringe in fear. I tried to muster up the courage to speak but my mouth went dry. I looked up at him with wild and terrified eyes close to tears. His brows furrowed slightly, in a mix of concern and confusion. There was a moment of awkward silence. He seemed unsure what to do or say.
“Well… if it’s any consolation, you did taste amazing,” he continued, chuckling lightly.
My stomach dropped at this remark. I backed up into his curled fingers, cowering down in his huge hand as much as I could. “P-p-please don’t eat me!” I managed to squeak out.
His face fell. “I didn’t mean it like that! Really, I’m sorry.” He cradled me in both hands, moving his face closer. “I’m not going to hurt you, I promise,” he reassured softly.
I looked into his expressive green eyes, and I could discern he was telling the truth. After all, if he had wanted to eat me I would literally be inside his stomach right now. The thought chilled my bones, but now I felt less fearful. I straightened myself out of my cowering pose, made a concerted effort to stop trembling, and put on a brave face. He smiled sympathetically. “Let’s get you cleaned up.”
I lost my balance for a moment, falling into the cushion of his hand, as he stood up to his full height and began walking. Being carried by such a colossal being was, admittedly, a bit overwhelming. I couldn’t see over the side of his hand to tell how high up from the ground I was but I could imagine. The house, too, was unimaginably vast, although my focus was primarily on the giant himself, not the scenery. He brought me into the bathroom and lowered his hand down to the countertop so I could climb off.
“Stay here for a moment, I’ll be right back,” he said, leaving the room. Although I instinctively wanted to run, I knew I had to be brave and recognized he did not want to hurt me. Not that I could simply jump off the countertops anyways; the fall would likely break my neck. He came back with a bowl and filled it with warm water. Then, he daubed a little bit of soap and shampoo on the edge for me to use. He stood back and gazed at me for a moment thoughtfully. The outer edge of the bowl was a little high for me to reach, so he stacked a tube of toothpaste on a box of bar soap to make a set of stairs for me.
“Will that work?” he asked. I nodded, then looked up at him a little awkwardly. I needed to undress to take a bath. The realization hit him and he flushed slightly. “Uh… hold on a second…” he said absently, turning around to grab a washcloth. “Here. You can cover yourself with this. Give me your clothes and I’ll wash them for you.” The washcloth was more than big enough to completely cover me, so I hid underneath it and tossed away my saliva-soaked clothes in a heap. I peeked out and watched his huge fingers pluck the clothes off the counter.
“I’ll be back in half an hour or so,” he said, closing the door behind him as he walked out. I exhaled a sigh of relief, climbed up the makeshift stairs, and jumped with a splash into the warm water. The bowl was large enough for me to swim around in, and I was more than happy to take advantage to stretch my limbs and enjoy the feeling. I vigorously scrubbed my skin and hair clean and floated in the water, alone with my thoughts. So, he appeared to be a kind giant. I had no reason to believe otherwise. I was grateful for this fact, but I still wondered how in the world I had ended up in this place, or where the heck I was, or what I was going to do about it. For now, I was just along for the ride. I stepped out of my bath and dried off, wrapping myself up in the gigantic towel to cover my nakedness. Surveying my surroundings, I could see that the bathroom was equipped with all the modern furnishings that a normal human bathroom would have, just on a much larger scale, and was thankfully quite clean.
A booming knock on the door startled me out of my reverie. “Can I come in?”
I gulped nervously and yelled as loud as I could to project my voice, “I-It’s fine, come in!” The door opened and the towering giant walked in, coming over to the counter at his full height. The counter only reached up to his belly. Although I knew rationally there was no need to be afraid, I couldn’t help but feel a bolt of electricity run through my body seeing the gargantuan man standing over me. He set my clothes, now clean and dry, in front of me, and politely turned around so I could change in privacy. I hastily threw on my clothes and gave a small cough. “I’m done.”
He turned around and laid his massive hand face-up on the countertop. I craned my head back and timidly looked far above me into his green eyes. He lightly nudged me in the back with one of his fingers on his other hand, and I hesitantly stepped up into his hand and lowered myself down, maintaining eye contact all the time. Moving slowly, he raised up his hand closer to his face so he could see me in more detail. I sat frozen in place. I felt like a tiny insect. His immense face practically filled my field of vision. Neither of us moved for a long moment.
“Are you hungry?” he asked me, his loud full voice breaking the silence. Unable to bring myself to speak, I just nodded. I hadn’t eaten dinner last night. The giant began to walk again, with his huge long strides. I just couldn’t fathom how tall he was. Easily over a hundred feet. Maybe two hundred? If I laid myself flat and stretched my arms and legs out I wouldn’t even span the length of his hand. If he wanted to he could completely envelop me in his enclosed fist, and crush me into jelly with little effort. Yet, he clearly made such an effort to be as gentle as possible.
We entered the kitchen, and he set me down on his dining room table, an immense structure made of solid wood. I watched in silence as he pulled eggs and bacon out of the fridge and started cooking. All the food was proportional to his great size. Did that mean everything in this world was giant, including mammoth chickens and pigs? Was I just small? I wasn’t sure. The only thing I was sure about was that I was very hungry. The smell of bacon cooking made my stomach growl.
He walked over to the table with a platter of food bigger than my living room and set it down, then settled his huge bulk into an equally large chair.
“Sorry, but I don’t have any dishes or cutlery in your size, so you’ll just have to eat off my plate,” he stated. I nodded in reply and stared at the vast expanse of food before me. The giant took a fork, the teeth of which were frighteningly long, and cut off small pieces of egg, bacon, and toast for me to eat, then nudged them to the side of his plate. I couldn’t help but think that the fork could easily cut me in half, but I suppressed that thought and picked up a chunk of toast.
Watching the hulking giant eat was both fascinating and disquieting. His fork was big enough to comfortably fit a human on the end; if I had been so inclined I could sit on the curve of the fork and provide a small mouthful of breakfast for the giant man. He scooped a truckload of eggs onto the fork, lifted them high in the air, and shoveled them into his great mouth. He must have had a sizable appetite, for he demolished the eggs quickly with several bites, barely chewing. He then picked up the buttered toast and chomped into it with gusto, finishing the entire piece quickly. The last to go were the bacon strips, which disappeared into his mouth as quickly as the rest of the breakfast.
I had been quietly watching him eat while taking comparatively miniscule bites of my own breakfast. When he finished everything, he paused for a moment, looking almost disappointed. His eyes turned to me and I felt my blood run cold. Perhaps I just imagined it, but for a moment he had a ravenous look in his eye that strongly suggested I was the next part of his breakfast. I took a step back and the look disappeared as quickly as it had come. He smiled, looking almost embarrassed.
“Can I ask you something?” he questioned. I nodded nervously. “Where did you come from?”
I wasn’t sure how to answer. I didn’t know what this place was to begin with, let alone how I got here. “I-I’m not sure,” I stuttered, twisting my shirt absently in my hands. “I was driving my car, and-and it got struck by lightning… and somehow I ended up here.”
He looked thoughtful for a moment. “It must have been the lightning.”
“The lightning?” I repeated, surprised.
He glanced back down at me. “Yes. I was looking out the window last night and saw a brilliant blue bolt of lightning unlike anything I had ever seen before. I went out to investigate and… found you.”
“T-that makes sense I guess,” I responded. I wanted to ask questions but still felt too uneasy to spit out more than a sentence at a time. Fortunately, he continued to talk.
“It’s not very often that we see humans here in the Land of Giants,” he said, “and when they do find their way here, they don’t last very long.” He gave me a dark look.
I felt my face pale. “W-why’s that?” Did I really want to find out?
He paused for a long moment before finally answering, “Humans are considered a rare delicacy among us giants. Any humans who find themselves in our realm ultimately wind up in a giant’s belly.”
I felt sick. If my face had gone pale before, I was probably white as a sheet now. I felt my body start to tremble but my legs were rooted to the spot. Where could I go anyways? There was no escape. I was trapped here¾on a giant’s dining room table no less.
The giant continued to speak, not acknowledging my fright. “To be honest, if you hadn’t surprised me this morning by unwittingly falling into my mouth, I may have intentionally swallowed you.”
The rising panic in my chest exploded at this remark, and I finally got my feet to move as I realized the very real danger I was in. I edged backwards away from the giant man, trying not to make any sudden moves so as not to provoke a reaction. He didn’t say anything but kept his eyes on me without moving. I reached the edge of the table and peeked over my shoulder to see how far the fall would be if I jumped. I felt a rush of vertigo at the incredible height; I didn’t stand a chance of surviving a fall off the table. Given the options of falling to my death or being ingested and digested, however, I might be forced to jump.
“I-I don’t want to die. I’ll do anything you ask, just please, please don’t eat me,” I whimpered pathetically, starting to cry.
He raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Didn’t I already tell you I wasn’t going to eat you?” He shook his head incredulously. “I’ve had plenty of chances to, if I was going to I would have done it already. Hell, I could have easily gobbled you up with my breakfast. But I didn’t.”
I sniffled and wiped my eyes on my sleeve. The giant reached his huge hand out and gently swept me up off the table, bringing me in close to his face. “I may be a giant, but that doesn’t mean I’m a savage monster. I won’t eat you, I promise.”
I really had no choice but to believe him. I was helpless, stranded alone in a world of behemoths. I gulped and nodded. “Ok,” I responded, trying to quell the dread inside me.
“Why don’t we take a little walk outside?” he suggested, eager to change the subject. “I think we could both use some fresh air.” He walked over to the front door and opened it, letting in golden rays of sun. “Do you want to sit on my shoulder?”
“S-sure,” I replied. He raised up his hand that I was on and let me climb onto his enormous shoulder. The giant was so tall that I felt as if I was standing on top of a living skyscraper. Wary of the incredible height, I settled down in the hollow of his collarbone and grabbed his shirt with a death grip so I wouldn’t fall. “I’m ready.”
At first, when he started walking, I lurched forward and back and found it difficult to stay balanced. After a few minutes, though, I adjusted to the rhythm of his strides and felt more comfortable. The outside world was so beautiful, I felt as if I were in a fairy tale. The trees that I had only seen as silhouettes the night before were even taller than the giant. The thrum of cicadas and crickets and other chirping insects filled the warm, fresh air in a calming ambiance. All the vegetation was green and lush and full of life. Wildflowers of all colors dotted the landscape, with giant butterflies dancing from flower to flower. Everything was huge relative to my size; this world really was a land of giants. I shuddered slightly.
“This is where I found you,” the giant said, kneeling down his massive bulk to get a closer look. “You’re lucky you had a flashlight, otherwise I may have stepped on you without even realizing you were there in the dark.” I hadn’t considered that dreadful possibility but I made a made a mental note of the potential danger of being crushed underfoot. Being so tiny was scary.
“Speaking of flashlight…” The giant reached into a shallow puddle of water which was lit up and fished out my flashlight. “Here it is.” The flashlight looked so absurdly miniscule pinched between his colossal fingers. I was surprised he was able to pick it up without smashing it. He dropped the flashlight into his pants pocket and kept searching. Looking down from the giant’s perspective, I realized the tree limbs and boulders I had seen the night before were nothing more than tiny twigs and pebbles to him.
“Ah! Found your car!” he called out. The ravine I had crashed in and climbed out of was merely a small slope in the ground to the giant. He picked up the car effortlessly in one hand as if it were nothing more than a child’s toy. “Wow, this thing is totaled. I don’t think you’ll be driving it anytime soon.” The car was all smashed up and burned from the lightning. The giant put the car in his pocket too. He stood up to his full height and continued to stroll through the trees.
Seeing my car destroyed made me sad. I had worked hard to earn the money to buy that car, and had driven it for many years. It had been a good, reliable vehicle and now it would probably never run again. Not only that, but I might never have another car. What if I was stuck in the Land of Giants forever? There may not be any way to get back to the human realm. That thought was especially concerning. My life may not be much longer, considering all the ways I could meet a violent end here.
“Hey, uh… do you know if there’s any way for me to get back home? Where all the humans are?” I asked timidly. The giant stopped.
He pondered the question for a moment, then responded, “Not that I know of. Nobody really understands how humans managed to get here, and we only hear about your realm from the few that we have found. And I think I can be safe in assuming that no giants have made it to the human realm, right?”
I looked down at my hands, crestfallen. “Yeah.” I suppose that was a good thing. The devastation a man of his incredible size could cause to a human city would be unimaginable. He could probably devour a dozen men whole as a light snack and still be hungry. After all, I had already been a witness to his prodigious appetite. I just hoped he was telling me the truth and could control himself enough not to wolf me down with his next meal.
I was startled out of my thoughts when the giant tenderly brushed my body with his thumb, in an attempt to comfort me. “I’m sorry,” he said kindly, “if there’s a way for me to help you I will find it.”
“Thank you,” I replied. Perhaps I was being unfair to him. He had only shown me compassion so far, no malice. The one time I had almost been swallowed by him had been a foolish misstep on my part, not anything he had done.
He continued to walk through the trees for a little while in peaceful silence. Eventually we made it back to his house, which was a nice little cottage in the woods. In the time we were outside I hadn’t seen any other giant houses or buildings, much to my relief. Having to deal with more than one giant would have been too much for me.
“I guess I should get some work done,” the giant said, sighing.
I looked up at him. “Work?”
“Yeah. I’m a freelance writer. I write stories and articles for magazines and other publications,” he clarified. He walked through the house into a spacious office room, complete with a desk and computer. Without warning, he reached his huge hand toward me, filling my entire field of vision. I involuntarily let out a faint cry as his hand closed around me, enveloping me in darkness inside his massive fist. He didn’t seem to notice my initial distress at being trapped in the hollow of his hand. After a moment I calmed down. If anything, the warm softness of the skin around me felt comforting. The sensation only lasted for a brief time since he opened his hand, placing me on the expanse of his desk. He pulled my trashed car out of his pocket and set it down on the desk next to me, along with my flashlight.
“If you have anything in your car that you need, now would be a good time to grab it,” the giant noted as he sat down at the desk. Even when sitting down, he still loomed over me like a mountain. He started typing away at his computer, distracted by his work. I went over to the car and attempted to open the rear passenger door, but it was stuck in place. I tried giving it a good jerk, putting all my weight into the action, but the door still refused to budge. I was just about to go around to the driver’s door when the giant, seeing I was struggling, reached over, pinched the door between his fingers, and using only a fraction of his strength ripped the door off the car.
“Oops,” the giant uttered, “I didn’t mean to do that.”
“It’s alright,” I sighed, “It’s not like I could drive it anyways.” I reached into the back seat and grabbed my bags. Before I had been struck by lightning, crashed my car, and been snatched up by a giant, my initial plan had been to drive over to my parents’ house and visit them for a while on vacation. Fortunately for me, I had packed two weeks’ worth of clothes and toiletries for the journey. Those things, as mundane as they were, would be crucial for my comfort and hygiene here, considering I wouldn’t be able to get anything in my size. Since my hair was a tangled mess after my ordeal, I took my hairbrush and worked out all the knots until my hair was smooth again. Although brushing my hair was a minor action, I felt a lot better, less like a wild animal captured in the woods and more like a normal person.
I sat down, resting my head against my car, and watched the giant man pound away on his computer keyboard for a while. I was impressed by his fast typing, as his colossal fingers rapidly clicked the keys. After a while I got up, stretched, and explored the landscape of the giant desk. Seeing ordinary everyday objects, such as pencils and paperclips, on such a massive scale was still a novel experience for me. I tried to lift a ballpoint pen but it was too heavy for me to stand it up and write with it. There was a stack of books and papers on the desk that looked interesting but obviously I couldn’t do anything with them, except climb to the top of the pile. The book on the top of the stack appeared to be a geography book, but the landmasses displayed on the cover were unfamiliar to me. I wanted to ask questions but didn’t want to bother the giant, since he was preoccupied with his work. I descended back down and returned to my car. The sunlight coming in from the window was fading to a deeper orange, casting long shadows along the desk.
“I’m almost done,” the giant said, breaking the silence. “Give me just… one… second.” His fingers finally stopped typing with a final decisive click. “I think that’s enough for today.” He leaned back in his chair and stretched his huge arms high into the air with a groan. “Time for dinner.”
Before I could react, the giant reached his huge hand toward me and gripped my body between his thumb and forefinger, lifting me up in his two fingers. For a moment I was worried he would crush my chest in his grip, constricting my breathing, but he was exceedingly gentle. He placed me in the palm of his other hand and walked to the kitchen. I had to admit to myself¾privately, of course¾that the warm, cozy softness of his hands against my skin brought me pleasure.
This time, instead of setting me on the dining room table, the giant placed me on the kitchen counter near the sink while he prepared our meal. He collected together shredded cheese and tortillas and started to cook them on the stove in a skillet.
“I was initially planning on making spaghetti, but I imagine that would be a bit messy for you to eat without a fork,” he commented to me, laughing at the thought. “I believe a quesadilla would be a little easier.” I nodded my approval.
“By the way… what’s your name, little one?” he asked me. “I wanted to ask you earlier, but I didn’t want to probe you with personal questions when you seemed so frightened.”
“M-my name’s Jaclyn,” I answered, “but my friends call me Jackie.”
“Can I call you Jackie?”
“S-sure. And… what’s your name?”
“Chester.”
“Nice to meet you.”
“Likewise.”
Once he was done cooking, the giant--Chester--took his plate of food in one hand, picked me up in the other, and went to the dining room table to eat. He tore me off a small chunk of his meal and I gladly accepted it, although the dining experience was fairly different from a normal quesadilla since the tortillas and cheese were so thick in comparison to my diminutive size. When I became thirsty, Chester lifted me up in his fingers and dangled me over a glass of water so I could drink. Overall, the meal was pleasant, albeit a little awkward since I needed help for what were normally quite trivial actions.
After dinner, I felt very tired, as it had been a long and exhausting day. I expressed my wish to retire early and Chester carried me into the bedroom and set me down on the enormous, soft bed. He brought me my bags so I had access to my personal effects and graciously left the room so I could change into my pajamas. While he was gone, I curled up in a comfortable corner of the bed and almost immediately fell asleep.
