i am pushing my short hylian/human revali agenda, like 5'2 short. baby man. the only reason he's taller than link is because he's a rito, and he's comically short for one.
Tumblr media
hylian revali would be so fucking short. like so tiny. my man carries around a stool just to make eye contact.

Opera house AU Wild was adopted by Teba and Saki? Had a brief "wait, Im ADOPTED?!" shock when he was 8 (Saki and Teba still don't know how he didn't realize it XD)
Also, I feel like him and Flora knew each other since kindergarten and their dynamic hasn't changed since. Problem is that its all;
Tumblr media
And hey, maybe Teba taught Wild paragliding wgen he was a kid! Pretty normal for Rito kids to learn flying when theyre young, that led to Wild being the daredevil stuntman he is?
I'm going to say yes to Teba and Saki being his adoptive parents (dang, no one in the opera has birth parents do they?) but probably no to him knowing Flora. She grew up going to private schools and he was public schooled. They did meet in school though! He eventually got like, a scholarship to go to a fancy school and was like, the best student ever. She hated his guts because the shy quiet kid was doing better than her and making her look bad.
And then she found out that he was doing so good because his scholarship required he do good. They actually ended up making friends after he scared off some muggers and walked her home when her dad forgot to get her from school. They've been best pals since and their dynamic now, on occasion, is very much Susie and Calvin. Not because he likes her though, just because Wild's just ✨Like That✨

HC that the person who Malon called in the "solid you-owe-me" for was Teba (or maybe Saria)
Oooh, yes I like that!
I think Teba would make more sense (bird + airplane) but I like the idea of Saria too.

All right, I'll throw in an ask. Partly for Carry Me From These Walls, partly for your BotW fic as a whole.
So you have Daruk and Urbosa - and to a lesser extent Teba - as the Adults of the group. Ostensibly responsible and worrying over their charges, yet sharing a chaotic energy that's kept slightly secret.
It's a fun dichotomy. Which elements of that pair are most fun for you to write? And now that I've stumbled into the thought, would formally adding Other Dad Teba to the mix make them more responsible or open new avenues of chaos?
Thanks for writing these characters!
Ooo, this is a fun one!
Daruk and Urbosa's relationship is one that I really wish we'd gotten to see more of in canon—all we really know for sure comes from a line in Urbosa's DLC diary about how she and Daruk "hope to help [the other Champions] see the future." I choose to interpret that as the two of them feeling at least some responsibility for the wellbeing of the others, particularly because of their youth (something else Urbosa mentions in that same diary). So, you've got that, and you've got Urbosa's canonical love of pulling pranks on people important to her, and Daruk's own enjoyment of a little tomfoolery here and there. It makes for a really fun potential dynamic! I don't think I can really say which part of that dichotomy is my favorite to write, because I love both sides of that silly/serious coin so so much, but if you're asking what's the most entertaining for me, it's gotta be the shenanigans. CMFTW Daruk not knowing how cereal bars work and Strength of the Mountain Urbosa not realizing just how badly she's about to be victimized by the laws of physics are both standout moments for me. But I'm primarily an enjoyer of tragedy, and so those lighthearted moments really serve to make the heartbreak feel that much closer to home, and the quiet but steadfast way those two insist on supporting each other through thick and thin means more to me than I can really say as well.
To answer your second question—I honestly have no idea what adding Teba into the mix would do! If we're considering actual BotW canon, I think he's a much more serious character than either Daruk or Urbosa really make themselves out to be onscreen. (Teba was born and raised in a world ravaged by the Calamity, after all, and never knew anything else—Daruk and Urbosa were not.) If we're thinking more SMtWO canon, that dynamic would be incredibly complicated, and I think that while ultimately the three of them would get along, Teba would not participate in anything like their minecart shenanigans.
For CMFTW, though? Who knows! Teba's definitely got his ultra-serious work persona, but he's also the guy who named his D&D character after the beloved chain restaurant Kraken Barrel. And is also the adoptive father of the kid who made Ikea of Furnichar. And regularly hangs out with his very unserious students on purpose. Admittedly, I've done VERY little writing for him in CMFTW—Hope does a fantastic job with him, and might have more to contribute to this very fun thought exercise—so it's hard for me to say for sure. (Pspsps @ofstormsandfire anything to add?)
That was probably entirely more detail than you were really asking for, but also I love Daruk and Urbosa SO much and can't help myself sometimes. Thanks for asking; this was a really fun question to answer!

I finished Tears of the Kingdom, so here are my thoughts
I recently finished Tears of the Kingdom and wow... wow! The game was beautiful all the way through. As such, I'd like to talk about my experience and thoughts.
DISCLAIMER: this post contains spoilers for the game. Read at your own risk.
Additionally, please don't take my opinions too seriously. I'm just someone on the internet. You don't have to agree or disagree but please be respectful.
Without further ado...
Overview:
Tears of the Kingdom is a beautiful game. Absolutely beautiful, from the designs to the scores to the gameplay. All of it, beautiful.
That being said, it took some adjusting. I missed having the convenience of our elemental and bomb arrows, I missed not having to pay for every time I wanted armor upgraded, and I missed not having to fight against the RNG to get items I needed for upgraded armor. The map did have some changes that took getting used to, and some of my favorite ingredient/monster part hunting spots were no longer there, so that sucked.
But it fits the story, I find. I like how the weapons changed due to the Upheaval (though I'm a bit confused as to how bows aren't decayed), how the monsters evolved and the new monsters that came, and how the Great Fairies function — we learned in Breath of the Wild that rupees gave them power, and I found that it made more sense to pay for the upgrades instead of just a one time payment.
That being said, while TOTK takes place some time after the events of BOTW, there were some things that left me feeling empty. What happened to all the guardians? The Divine Beasts? The Sheikah towers and the shrines? The Sheikah Slate? It just seems weird to me that they would just vanish without an explanation... especially the Beasts.
On top of that, I missed the Champions. I was thrilled to see that Mipha was still a big part of Zora's Domain and with Sidon's plotline, and I love her water gardens, but I was so scared when I didn't see her statue at first.
But to continue, while it makes sense for the Zora to keep Mipha very much alive considering how beloved she is, it felt strange that the other three weren't mentioned at all. Teba has a Great Eagle Bow, and Tulin can create gusts of wind, but no concrete to homage to Revali. Riju had dual Scimitar of the Seven, which Urbosa wielded, but she's not mentioned. Heck, Yonobo is the grandchild of Daruk (source is the Creating a Champion artbook), yet Daruk's Protection has disappeared and he's not mentioned at all.
Don't get me wrong, I understand why they wouldn't be prominent. TOTK is not BOTW, and the Champions and Divine Beasts are no longer the center focus. Still, it feels weird that they were expunged entirely. At least we have those cool helms!
Regional Phenomenon Questline:
I'm going to break this down the way I completed them... which was in the exact same way as I did in BOTW! Why not, it was fun. And also, the first region will allow me to address a big elephant in the room...
Zora's Domain and the Water Temple
Zora's Domain was the first region I completed in both games, and I was so happy to be back. I love the score in the Domain, I just find it so soothing... and it's the home of my favorite fish people!
I found it super goofy that Bazz was trapped under sludge. Like sir, you didn't see that falling? You didn't look up? At least he was ok in the end. King Dorephan being alive gave me a lot of relief. Don't get me wrong, in the trailers I was stoked to see Sidon as king, but what happened to his big ol' dad? I also love his new outfit after he gives his son the crown. Also, I love how to reveal the new statue of Sidon and Link, you have to clean it and then boom — Link riding Sidon statue.
Can I just say I love Sidon's new attire? It looks so good on him. I love the little navy blue addition to his ascots and I'm very happy to see they kept the whistle. Sidon is a big comfort character of mine, so reuniting with him first was like chicken soup for the soul. I also love the water manipulation ability. It's a very cool ability to have and it's very fitting for the Zora (naturally). A little sad he doesn't dual wield spears like he had in AOC, but regardless, he's great. He's great. I love Sidon. He's a card.
Now, with the Water Temple, I found it just a bit underwhelming. It's beautifully designed, don't get me wrong, and I love his ancestor and how Sidon gets his secret stone on his glove and he gives Link his vow (I don't ship Sidlink but that was fruity). But what I found underwhelming was the boss. Compared to the others, having the goofy Mucktorok felt a little... hmm... it was a fun fight, however! I did have fun! For my, compared to Waterblight Ganon from BOTW and the Scourges in the other temples, to me, it felt a little subpar.
Now I've addressed this before but now that I've played through and can make a better statement than my previous one a lot better... let's talk about Yona.
I like her! She's super cute! I have grown attached to her style and her character, and she has such a sweet little theme. My only big issue with her is, I find her to be one dimensional. Now, I'm not attacking her or hating on her. I think Yona as a character has an immense amount of potential, the writing for her is just... a little bland. The romantic subplot with her and Sidon and her story feels lackluster. I think, if they wanted to show Sidon's fear of losing someone else, someone he loves, I have the perfect man for the job — King Dorephan. Dorephan is his father, and the last remaining family Sidon has left. With Dorephan actually injured, I find it would make more sense for that subplot to be about their father-son bond. Maybe after finding out Dorephan is injured and in hiding, Sidon goes to find his father and it's Dorephan who tells him to be strong and to help link. In my opinion, that's more plausible.
Back to my original thought, I wish Yona had more development as a character. It's very clear she means a lot to Sidon and vice versa, but I wish there was more instead of her just being thrown in. If she's his dearest friend since childhood, I would have loved to have heard more about her in BOTW. I just want to know more about her. I want to see more character in her. And yes, to address the whole marriage debate — yes, Sidon saw her as a sister, and yes his feelings "became difficult to quantify." Feelings are changing all the time. In my opinion, it feels weird to someone who considers another family to suddenly fall in love with them. But that's just me.
To the Sidona shippers: y'all rock. While I personally don't ship Sidona, I support y'all. I am in love with all the artwork and writing I have found of them, and the way I look at it, it's more art of Sidon I get to enjoy. This is a Yona hate free zone, I will not entertain Yona hate.
To the other shippers, Sidlink and all: it's canon, we cannot change it. But! AUs exist. Headcanons exist. Heck, if Yona bothers you that much, ignore her all together. Nothing is going to stop you from shipping Sidlink and Sidon with ocs, so please be positive and keep doing what you're doing. I myself will continue making art and writing of my oc/canon ship with Sidon and my OC, because that's what makes me happy. I have some art and stories of them I plan to share, and I really hope you like them too :)))
Rito Village and the Wind Temple
Now, back on track after my tangent about Yona. The Rito Village was the second location I tackled and oh my god, I got a kick out of the kids running the village. I love how they tried to help keep the town in order while the adults were trying to find the source of the blizzard and gather supplies.
I was super relieved to find Teba alright, I know we were all afraid that he was dead or something considering he wasn't in the trailer. But I love Teba very much, and I was thrilled to see him again.
Tulin is PRECIOUS. My little nephew. I love how he looks fully-fledged, and he's such a sweet li'l rascal... and the fact his quiver has his parents' feathers on there, it is such a cute gesture.
Quick aside, I love Penn, but I MISS KASS... where did he go... I miss hearing his accordion.
The Wind Temple, I find, was the most challenging to get to. I remember stacking three Zonai springs together at one point just to get to where I needed to go because for the life of me I could not get that one floating rock. I loved the bouncy sails on the ships. It gave me the kinda vibes a bouncy castle does.
The temple being the Stormwind Arc and not an actual building was delicious. A very nice touch. That being said, I love how different all the temples are: we have one in the sky that's actually a temple, the other is a flying ship, there's a temple in the depths, and then one on good ol' terra firma.
I LOVE the design of Colgera. Granted, I did do the temple at night, so it did scare me just a bit. It was a lot of fun to fight, and the cutscene of the sky becoming clear with Teba on Revali's Landing was perfect. It was a very sweet scene to add, when Tulin received his father's bow, the Great Eagle Bow, and the scarf as a nod to Revali. I wish the bow Teba made for me had the scarf...
Goron City and the Fire Temple
I personally miss that region flowing with lava. I felt it really drove home how hot the mountain is and the environment the Goron lived in, but it's much easier to traverse and it's nice to see there's still lava in the deeper caves.
I adore Yunobo, and seeing him become rude made me so sad. That's not my boy! I wanted my boy back! Making me fight him was not cool! He's such a good, kind character that it legit made me so sad to see him possessed by that mask.
I'll admit... I cheated the Fire Temple. I love the music score in that temple, and I had a lot of fun there, but I'll be the first to admit that I did not care for the mine cart system. I just climbed to where I needed to go. I'm sorry, that system really confused me and my ADHD was having none of it. So I figured I'd just cut to the chase and just climb.
I really like how the checkpoints were gongs, and having Yunobo barrel into them was very reminiscent of how we had to launch him to drive off Vah Rudania in BOTW.
The boss for the temple, left me feeling a little underwhelmed like the Mucktorok. Just break Marbled Gohma's legs and then beat the shit out of it. I can't say it wasn't entertaining though use Yunobo like that as if we were bowling.
The fist bump for the vow was such a quirky touch for Yunobo. I love it. It was really so sweet. And I love seeing Yunobo's resolve to become a stronger individual. His character growth from being a timid Goron in BOTW to now, I'm so proud of him. I feel like a proud mom.
Gerudo Town and the Lightning Temple
The gibdos absolutely terrified me. I ran into them not realizing the were there on my first time going to Gerudo town and I did not think to use elemental anything so when my most powerful weapons didn't make a dent, I panicked. Though admittedly, the moth gibdo wings are very pretty... still terrifying. I'm just glad we didn't have redeads.
Riju is SO pretty. I love her new hairstyle. At first I really missed her long hair, but she rocks her new short style. I've always loved Riju, and her reintroduction.
The Lightning Temple had to be one of, if not my favorite temple. I found it had the most difficult puzzles for me to solve, and I enjoyed that. I found I was using my brain a lot more for that temple than the others... and I died in a lot of stupid ways because sometimes the most obvious solution isn't that clear to me.
As someone who is very afraid of bugs, Queen Gibdo did not do it for me. She very much gave me the heebie jeebies... but it was nice to watch the sandstorm fade away from the Gerudo desert, for Riju to return to the throne room in the town, and for the Gerudo to leave the emergency shelter and return to their daily lives.
Overall the Regional Phenomenal questline was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed myself.
The Dragon's Tears Questline:
This fucked me up. Learning about Zelda's time in the past leading up to her becoming the Light Dragon actually made me cry. It was fun to discover the geoglyphs and have them become a permanent part of the map, but oof... my heart.
I cried when Sonia died, and it hurt so much when there was the scene of Rauru at her grave. All of it was just heart wrenching, especially Zelda became a dragon after Mineru "died" and found shelter in the Purah Pad. When Zelda screamed for Link to "protect them all" as her eyes changed... oof... ruin me.
Crisis at Hyrule Castle and the Sixth Sage:
I think it was pretty obvious for me that the Zelda we had been seeing wasn't really Zelda. Running around Hyrule Castle in an attempt to reach her, only to fight monster forces was not a very pleasant affair, and the Phantom Ganon fights were also a bit of a pain, albeit fun nontheless.
I loved how the Sages came to Link's aid in the end. It made the game feel a lot less lonely. It made me very happy to see them there protecting Link. It really gave you a sense of how much they care about him, and what he means to them.
Finding the Sixth Sage was a lot of running around that I made much more difficult because I forgot the mask when I found it, so I had to go all the way back to get it, and I didn't realize I had to put the mask in the construct, so cut to me spending an hour trying to get the limbs for the robot when the depots weren't activated yet... oops.
I absolutely adore Mineru. She is so pretty, and I love her voice. I love how her character ties in the past and present, and how she fits so well in the story. And riding her construct was a lot of fun... the boss fight for her secret stone took me a hot minute to figure out... I'm a bit slow on the uptake sometime, so when I pushed the Ganon-controlled construct into the electric fence, I was legit surprised that that was what I was supposed to do.
Defeating Ganondorf:
First off, I would like to say I miscalculated how thick the pillar was on the way down into the Depths from Hyrule castle and I shattered Link's body on the side of it the first time I dove down. It was honestly really funny. It also was a strange disconnect at first as I made my way down to Ganon, because I did not realize how DEEP underground Zelda and Link went to even find this formerly dehydrated prune to begin with.
I was... SO happy and excited that I got to fight alongside the other Sages before going to fight Ganon. It felt so euphoric, like the culmination of all our efforts was coming to fruition and we were all finally comrades in arms. It felt way more personal than the fight with Calamity Ganon in BOTW.
Being separated from them made me so sad. It felt really helpless, watching Link being trapped in the cave while the others fought. Like no don't leave me!
But the final fight, from the beginning to the end, was STELLAR. For the Sages to rejoin us and we fight him all together?! Yes please! Granted his second form's extended life bar def gave me Dark Souls vibes, which is one of my favorite franchises (including Bloodborne) so that was fitting. Though watching my friends be thrown to the side had me scared there for a second.
Watching him become the Demon Dragon, as an individual who recently graduated with a degree in animation with a specialty in effects, was so tasty. And to watch it emerge from beneath Hyrule castle... I can only imagine what it felt like to watch it like that... and for the clearly much smaller Light Dragon come to rescue us... chills. Literal chills. The score for that cutscene was perfect. And for Link, in the face of dragon, to draw the Master Sword like no big deal? Incredible.
Fighting the Demon Dragon alongside the Light Dragon, and to watch it be destroyed was incredible. And for Link to receive his arm back and Zelda returning to normal, for Link to finally grab Zelda's hand and hold her as they fell into the water only to carry her out again... I'm a huge Zelink fan, so that made my heart soar.
The Ending:
The ending itself was beautiful. I was so moved when the current Sages gave the same pledge to Zelda as their ancestors had to Rauru, and I legit cried when Mineru moved on to the afterlife. It was sentimental, and beautiful. I don't think I could have asked for a better ending.
Final Thoughts:
This game... was stunning. It was everything I could have asked for in a sequel to Breath of the Wild. And sure, there are plenty of things to nitpick about, but I had such a positive experience, I'm not even going to bother with all of that.
It was a thrilling and fresh experience, and I enjoyed myself very much.
With that being said, I know we're all looking for DLC and another game. In my personal opinion, I think Tears of the Kingdom did a very good job of wrapping up this story. I'm all down for DLC, but I personally think BOTW and TOTK doesn't need a third game. I think the story these two games portrayed, from the story of the Champions and Calamity Ganon to the climax of defeating Ganon and saving Hyrule, is completed with the conclusion of TOTK.
Of course, that's all up for Nintendo, but I am satisfied with this. I'm very happy. I could not ask for more.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading! I appreciate you sticking it out with my silly little ramblings. I really hope you all enjoy Tears of the Kingdom as much as I did, and I am always down for discussions and stuff in regards to this!
Just a little reminder: I'm just one person on the internet. Please be respectful of my opinions!
And with all that, in mind, I hope you all have a wonderful day. And now, to play both games all over again.
Courier out.

Fuck it I'm foregoing the anon button
Same person from the previous 2 TOTK asks: putting Teba my beloved aside, yes: I was making the rounds on zeldatube after everything and I quite enjoyed the zonai theories and all, especially when they tied into the twili or something, but (and perhaps this is symptomatic of our current culture) I'm not a fan of theories becoming canon. Like I remember back in the day when the timeline was just a theory but Nintendo made it canon, along with the downfall timeline, yet know it seems to be irrelevant with the kind of stories they want to tell: so basically they trapped themselves into a corner
so with the zonai, while it's cool to expand upon them, it completely derails the previous culture and history. Are they ancestors to the shiekah? Are they a separate tribe? Who knows!
perhaps it would've been better if they had left the zonai untouched, like the kingdom of Ikana from majoras: there's so much history there (and woah the theories are intense when they interpet them as blasphemous beings shunned by the goddesses) but they aren't important to the main plot. I think Nintendo forgets that an npc, a background, can be just that without needing to expand upon it
THATS A FANTASTIC COMPARISON.. ikana is the PERFECT measure of "this is a land of DEEP blood soaked history, but you will only get the fringes of it. the remaining hostile spirits, the restless soldiers who dont know the wars over, the futility of it all when no one survived." and thats all they had to say! thats fantastic!
or likewise, the twili. i think they Should have gone more into the twili, but ultimately? the amount of information we got was just enough of a taste to leave an IMPACT. their structures, their culture, their subjugation by hyrule, the way their ancestors being ruthelessly punished has carved out the space they now occupy, down to their very beings... it MEANS something. its impactful! it stays with you. i still think about the twili now, and some of my silly headcanons i had as a kid, bc they did a Good Measure of implications, showing, and not telling.
ultimately i would have been fine with the zonai being left as they were. i had no expectation for them being ACTUALLY brought into totk like this- and its very obvious they had no expectation to either. i didnt particularly want confirmation for theories, but if they were going to use them, they could have at least Pretended to adhere to the scraps of worldbuilding theyd already done.
its less that they didnt conform to fan expectations, and more that they didnt conform to Anything and then refused to expand on it anyway. what was even the point? of using the zonai? beyond getting more attention because the fandom had cultivated their own interest in it. idk. it just feels like a cheap novelty; you could swap the zonai out for anything else and it would be just as congruent with our previous understanding of hyrule. thats bad writing!

dont mind me tripping and falling in here again. but i would also love to hear about botw au. legend of zelda au's my absolute beloved they have me running circles around my room. adrenaline shot straight to the heart nothing digs its claws in me quite like loz and i am so so interested to hear about it!! clingyduo doomed to save the world in every universe,,,, i'm invested already
thank you so much for humoring me, i love botw aus so much theyre aaaa!! aaAAAAAaaAaaAAa!!!!
so yeah this originally started bc an old friend of mine and i were talking and i forget who suggested it but we were like "hey wouldn't tommyinnit as link be so funny? because tommyinnit is like the exact opposite kind of feral-energy of botw link. loud and swears and uncontrollable and headstrong. hylia's most annoying hero." and things just devolved from there. it's fully a Crack Treated Seriously situation because i spent actual months working out lore n worldbuilding and whatnot fhdjskhfdk.
the fic is officially called Well, Excuuuuuuuse Me, Big Man: The BotW AU No One Asked For (or WEMBM for short)
basic layout (as far as i went with it anyway):
tommy more-or-less follows the order of what you're "supposed" to do to to beat the game: plateau->kakariko->hateno->kakariko again->four main regions->master sword->ganon. of course there are a lot of detours and back-tracking and skipping around for hyjinx
main regions/inhabitants are replaced: Zora->Axols (axolotl "hybrids"), Gorons->Piglins, Rito->Elytrians, Gerudo->Enderians
each of the above races have their own cultures that are loosely based off of the game's original counterparts and some mcrp fanon + personal headcanons thrown in. they're customized to incorporate some (mild) minecraft elements!!
old champions: Mipha->Niki, Daruk->Technoblade, Rivali->Philza, Urbosa->Ran (based loosely off of tftsmp Ran, effectively an oc lmao????)
new champions: Sidon->Foolish (Niki's younger brother) and Jack (Niki's best friend), Yunobo->Drista, Teba->Wilbur, Riju->Ranboo
all of their personalities more-or-less remain intact (which is why the fact that i put The Old Man / King Rhoam as Schlatt so fucking funny)
divine beasts keep their names but the creatures change!! Ruta is a glow squid, Rudania is a blaze, Medoh is still a bird (LMAO i might change this because...), Naboris is a phantom
some scattered details
wilbur is both the "new" champion role AND kass' role!! he and tommy meet early on in his journey (at his first visit to Hateno) but tommy doesn't learn about wilbur's heritage (Philza was his great great great grandfather) until MUCH later. they run into each other a lot during their travels.
wilbur also has a hardcore crush on an axol warrior named sally, which tommy teases and embarrasses him relentlessly for
tubbo (zelda-role) keeps zelda's arc of not being able to develop powers. the key difference is that tommy and tubbo are friends before the calamity business starts to get serious, and tubbo's frustration drives a wedge between them
(angst time: clingy duo has a Big Fight during that one sheikah slate Memory on the palace tower bridge, and they never get the chance to apologize to each other before it all goes to shit and tommy dies sacrificing himself to save tubbo.)
techno and phil are old friends from when they'd do colosseum fights together. they haven't talked much for a few years before becoming champions, both too busy with their respective duties at home, but the moment they realize they've both been recruited well, they're inseparable
windbombing, bullet-time bouncing, and shield clipping are canon. don't question it.
champion ran is a dick (think revali) and the only one there they respect is niki because they underestimated her and then she proceeded to floor them during a sparring session (and she didn't even threaten them with a water based attack, it was all skill)
awesamdude (most people call him "sam", he's ranboo's personal guard) has a half brother named awesamnook (most people call him "nook" or "samnook"). he's the Beedle-role and he talks in all caps like an npc ("HELLO TRAVELER." "Why are you shouting---" "HAVE A LOOK AT MY WARES." "Okay---")
bad runs the yiga-equivalent egg cult that, instead of disguising themselves as travelers, simply uses sprouts of blood-red flowers with a toxic pollen to mind-control bystanders into attacking tommy (yikes)
have some highlights from the few chapters i've written of tommy on the great plateau (yes, the entire google doc is written in comic sans)
tommy immediately sassing tubbo's disembodied voice:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
tommy is 7 feet from the cave and is shoving things in his mouth:
Tumblr media
(I should also mention he has a pet beetle in his pocket named Sir Legs)
tommy has a grudge against the sheikah pedestals, it's a whole arc on the plateau as he slowly comes to love and appreciate the pedestals and what they do for him:
Tumblr media
old man J vs tommy's unwavering optimism(bullheadedness):

Still more thoughts about Tears of the Kingdom (SPOILERS! like seriously. in this one)
I love this game
So much
I had to find a guy for a quest but was like
"Im going to check out this well first"
AND BOOM HE WAS THERE
Alao the brown breakable rock break with one hit, blue with two and black with three
Seemingly
Matches the bombs it takes to break them
Tulin, whose village is dying, watching me search for pretty clothing
"Link please my family is dying Link we have to go Link"
The frostbite set is stunning
Finally a hairdo that lets Link have long hair
I hate the Sages
Not really but my god did they make their AI absolute trash
Theyre always in the way except when you need them to solve a puzzle
And if you have more than one Avatar present good luck getting the one you need
I HATE THE WIND TEMPLE BOSS
Not as much as I hated Queen Gibdo but
Why was crossing a spider and scorpion necessary
"Brave Fledgling"  what if I cried
Tulin is so good
So is this making it canon that the time 10 000 years ago was still after every other game
I dont know the timeline is weird
But if there was both Zora and Rito at the time of Rauru
This is so confusing
Ive both heard and seen Rauru sacrifice himself multiple times now can these dead Sages give me new info
Zelda my beloved
Marry me please
Also so the only other Demon King we have ever had was Demise so is Ganondorf him or after him
WHAT IS THE TIMELINE HERE
The Sage calls Tulin "my brave fledgling"
Someone call me something so loving one day
Tulin is so excited to be a Sage
He is so happy to fight alongside Link
Hes so happy to save the world
I love him
What a boy
Boys will be boys is from now on only about Tulin
WAIT IS EVEN HE TALLER THAN LINK
Shortest Hylian
I got a third ring
Bring a gerudo bow to this boss fight if you can it makes life so much easier
I havent been to Death Mountain at all yet
Done all other Temples and fully mapped Hyrule before ever going near Gorons
The extra snow melted
TEBA GAVE TULIN THE GREAT EAGLE BOW
IM CRYING
REVALI IM SO PROUD OF OUR BOY *shakes the ghost of Revali*
PSSHHH YUNOBO LOOKS DUMB AS SHIT
I HATE HIM
Was already my least favorite in BOTW
But now he is a major asshole too
Fuck that
Bastard
Im not helping him
Im gonna go blow up his company
If this guy becomes a Sage I swear
I'll drown him in Death Mountain myself
The ember headdress is probably the best headpiece in the entire game
The Ember set is genuinely the best set
Its so pretty
Im gonna go see what these look like dyed
After that beating up Yunobo
But fashion comes first
IF YOU DYE THE EMBER HEADSET IT DYES LINKS HAIR
BLUE HAIR LINK
PINK HAIR LINK
BEST DAY EVER
THE SAME GOES FOR THE FROST OUTFIT
I love Cece
She is the only person matching my love of fashion in this game
I just realised why the evil Zelda is wearing Zonai clothes
Omg
Smart
Or maybe Im dumb
"Oh Yunobo was wearing a mask making him evil" no Yunobo is just like that
This sucks I hate everything to do with Death Mountain
Worst place
I have to use the machines AND GO TO THE DEPTHS??? NOOO
Nintendo you will be hearing from my lawyers
When I die Im going to ask Rauru wtf were the Zonai doing in the depths
No because if youre going to have a cutscene and then make a second cutscene three steps further just fucking make it one cutscene
Yunobo is a "young little rock"
Left that for now
Found Champions leathers
Found Royal Guard boots??
They were in the king's study
King's diary wasnt there so like is it canon Zelda was able to read it?
Misko was a good guy actually, hiding all these clothes for me
Me, in the depths: I wonder where this strange Sheikah tower leads
The Yiga hideout in Akkala:
The only ancient sheikah tech still working is Hateno Tech Lab travel point
I spent some time in the depths and FOUND THE ANCIENT CENTRAL MINE
Fought Kohga
GOT AUTOBUILD
Finally the shrine censor
And travel medallion? You treat me so well
Already had that prototype
ALSO GETTIN SENSOR+ IMMEDIATLY
Badass feeling
Omg Robbie's compendium database is so cute
Got all three upgrades immediatly
Fully stocked purah pad
WAIT THREE TRAVEL MEDALLIONS???
BASED
MY FAVORITE MONEY MAKER IS BACK
I like to kill the hebra great game because they drop gourmet and prime meat and cooking those and they sell for a good price
Horse and bullet time
Many coins
Zelda's memories are so sad
Been giving my friends a fashion show of my favorite clothing
I am again so gay for Sonia and Zelda
My god
ZELDA
BABYGIRL
ZELDA I FORBID THIS
ZELDA YOU YOU
ZELDA
ZELDA
NO NO NO NO NO DONT
MY DEAREST ZELDA
ZELDA
MY LOVE
I am sobbing crying screaming
Im so upset
Zelda being the light dragon is so unfair for her
She deserved happiness and freedom
Not losing her humanity and personhood
YOU CAN MAKE ELEMENTAL WHIPS
Kinky
I went into the strange thunder cloud
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS
Why is it taking me into the depths
Not again
Alright Sage of Spirit
I'll make your mech suit for you
That took a while
But owl head statue
Mineru my beloved
Oh.my god this is hell
Worst part of this game so far
EASILY
DONT MAKE ME FUCKING CONTROL THIS WHEN THE CONTROLS ARE THE WORST THING EVER CONCIEVED
Im leaving this temple also undone I DONT CARE THIS FUCKING SUCKS
I hate it
Fuck this
Why do game devs come up with shitty awful bad as hell stuff to do in their games AND MAKE THAT MANDATORY
I just quit the game no lie
Fuck that
I did it and I was being dramatic, it wasnt that hard
Mineru is so goddamn gorgeous
They designed this game for me specifically
I should get back to drawing furries
Mineru holding my hand which is her brother's hand
Tears
Mineru I love her
I have not beaten Fire Temple yet
I just cant
Depths
Darkness and puzzles and fire
Also dont like Yunobo
I feel so bad for Mineru
Zelda :(
Why doesnt Link get a secret stone
RAURU WAS MINERU'S LITTLE BROTHER ::'ÖÖ
Where did Zelda's special stone come from when its a time stone and Ganon stole Sonia's time stone
Mineru I will not go get the Master Sword
Demon Ganon is hot idc
RAURU WHY WOULD YOU
Ganon: "Link. I look forward to meeting him" goes into slumber
Damn all of Rauru disintergrated but his hand
I have to find the light dragon
Eugh
The dragons dont have schedules in this apparently
Sadly
Mineru so was in love w Zelda
Everyone is putting too much weight on Link's shoulders
Fine I'll finish the fire temple
*2 hours later* I hate it here
I did scam those puzzles as much as I could
Worst puzzles
Worst boss too
Marbled gohma
Fucking awful
I nearly died about 11 times
Rip my food storages
I really need to cook more
Special stone for Yunobo booo
Little rock is adorable pet name tho
Ancestor Goron is fine af
WHY DOES NO ONE MENTION THE DIVINE BEASTS BUT YOU CAN FIND THE DIVINE BEAST HELMS AND NO ONE MENTIONS THE BEASTS
Ive heard this story four times now
Fucking hell cant we get anything new
Someone give me a 200k word fanfic where Ganon awakens but is not evil
I need Ganon Zelda Link friendship
End the cycle
Watching Brian David Gilbert and Unraveleds rn
LMAO YUNOBO'S SPECIAL STONE IS ON HIS DICK
We have established this is not a PG channel
Ok fine I like Yunobo
Daruk was better tho
Ive found most memories why cant I say anything to these people about thats not Zelda
I know Zelda is the light dragon
Running around Hyrule Castle for 'Zelda'
About to do bossfight w Ganon
Can I do a flurry rush? No
I just hit or die
Life is like that
No clever tactiques just caveman brain and trying
Evil "Zelda" is fun
Why is Ganon like one of those movie posters here
Why is he still not rehydrated
Ganon I have dick to suck hurry up
"You will not live to see another sunrise" Ganon the sun is rising rn
Woo Phantom Ganons
Fuck yeah
Lets see if I can kill them aka can I finally take on Gloom Hands (I wont)
Ganon's so arrogant
YAY MY FRIENDS ARE HERE
FUCK YEAH
I LOVE YOU ALL
MY SAGE BUDDIES
Not Lynels
Still the hardest enemy in game
Ok so if youve found Mineru and have the Master Sword already, the convo after the fake Ganon fight Purah goes "Youve already found the fifth sage? AND you have the master sword? Why didnt you say so before"
Usually youd get quests for those
It was funny
Why is the limit of horses I can have ten ::((
The Charged shirt is actually so so slutty I love it
IT GLOWS IN THUNDER STORMS
FUCK YEAH
So I finally cleared The Deku Tree's little stomach bug
And like it is so funny how easy the Gloom Hands and Phantom Ganon become when youre in late game
I was sweating about it and then it was so easy
And Im bad at combat
Ok not to brag but I killed a white lynel. First time ever. Also first time ever I killed a lynel without Urbosa's help

Myrah and Revali Headcanons
This is nothing more than fleshing them out, and it's very self-indulgent. However, if anyone is interested in more about these two, let me know.(or feel free to ask about my OCs)
Myrah's family has always called her 'little hawk' or just 'hawk', it never really bothered her. She's a warrior, in line for the title of chief, and about as brash and loud as can be.
So when Revali calls her dove-, it confuses her. When she asks him about it, he says,'You're kind, and you choose mercy. You may be a hawk- but you are more than that. You have softness inside you that should be nurtured.'
Also, if I remember right, I think doves symbolize peace and victory??
He also calls her princess- despite that not being accurate.
Revali is a blue Jay, a show boat, a hot head, proud, and as brash as his lover. No one has ever said otherwise.
And then she cried because she hadn't ever been told she should nurture her gentleness. (She had never been discouraged for having it it just was, people took it for granted.)
She was literally in line for the title of chief and the daughter of a high-ranking knight. She was taught to fend for herself and to keep her chin up.
But Myrah takes to calling him pethnames in the gerudo tongue. 'Kiventa', 'yinaq', and 'Siviqe'
Kiventa: Dear one/ darling -used for loved ones.
Yinaq: beloved - romantic in nature
Siviqe: Precious above all - romantic
Revali teaches Myrah to shoot a bow properly, and vastly improves her skill in archery.
Myrah teaches him sword fighting. He gets better, but he sticks to archery.
Myrah has a small braid by her ear that is decorated with riro beads and tied off with a elastic- the end has a few of Revali's feathers. This happens later in their relationship as a sign of commitment and intent to marry
Revali's braids eventually have a golden gerudo bead that's not quite expertly made because Myrah made it for him in place of a feather.
Revali is a stubborn bird, and people let him do whatever he sets his mind to except Myrah, who will force him to rake breaks when he needs to.
Revali is the one who reminds Myrah she can't keep all her bad emotions in, he let's her vent
Dates on Vah Medoh, they spend hours up there.
Revali is the one who gives Myrah her paraglider. It's one of the last interactions they have.
Myrah and Revali plan to build a cabin near rito village, with one of the rito homes attached so Revali doesn't have to be cooped inside. Myrah can travel as she likes and it was going to be okay.
Revali will bring shiny things to Myrah and say 'it made me think of you'
Myrah will pull Revali into spinning hugs - he loves it
They are the only ones aside from the adults who watched them grow up that are truly gentle with each other her
Revali crafted Myrah a bow that she keeps until the end of her life. She's only let six other people touch it. (Link, Tulin, Teba, Astra, and Riju)
When Myrah boards Vah Medoh with Link- Revali greets her with this line after snarking at Link, 'However- it is good to see you are as lively as ever, princess.'
The smile she gives is bitter when she says, "Been a while, Vali."
After Revali gives Link his power, he walks to Myrah and stops a few inches away. He doesn't try to touch her, but he does give a nod to her. 'I am glad I got to see you again before this all ends, dove. You are as beautiful as you were then.'
She has to choke back a sob when she hears how panicked his sos message is (she has always been horrified by each sos and how it's been sounding for a hundred years even though her loved ones are long dead.)
She's barely conscious because she took a blow for Link, and she has to fight a laugh because she doesn't think she could look that pretty while almost bleeding out.
And she just tears up and whispers 'Vali- Siviqe... I'm so sorry.'
Link has to help Myrah leave- but Revali calls out to him 'Watch her- she hides her pain'
In the AoC timeline Myrah dies while helping Zelda and Link get to the castle and Revali gives her eulogy (but her death- one death in exchange for the lives of many more is a trade she'd make almost always.)
Myrah gives the speech for Revali's funeral. She sends him off with the anklet she had made in place of a wedding ring.
Revali had an older sister in my mind so she helps his sister raise her kid. (Teba and tulin are descended from Revali's nephew)
Myrah tells every generation of rito about Revali and how hard he worked.
She keeps Revali's landing in good condition.
In the timeline Myrah dies Revali tells everyone about her and commissions a statue of her to sit in the middle of hyrule so travelers can see it. (It's polished bronze)
Revali gave Myrah a fresh feather to be burried with.
In an au where everyone lives- Revali and Myrah get married and have 4 kids (3 biological and 1 adopted)
Myrah has always loved Link- and polygamorous is actually common in Rito and gerudo culture- but it's not something Myrah ever pursues because hyliam culture frowns upon it (Link and Zelda end up married and happy.)
In this world there's like the closets to a polycule you get without having one between Mipha, Purah, Zelda, Link, Revali, and Myrah (but most of them aren't dating it's Weird)
In this no one dies world, Revali becomes a warrior and a teacher
Myrah becomes a captain of the royal army, admiral of the grrudo army, and a fighting instructor (she travels between castle Town, kakariko, Zoran domain, gerudo town, and rito village she's always liked movement)
The logistics of having a bio kid between a rito and a gerudo are rooted mostly in a evolutionary need to procreate despite difficulties in gerudo. (All children born to a gerudo are gerudo in nature regardless of the species of the other parent but some features of the other parent will be present)
Oldest of Myrah and Revali's kids: Kato- male rito that was adopted. He's a crow type, and adores the shining gold metal his mother crafts with. He is aroace and is a musician
Next oldest kid: Odette - has green eyes like Revali, a sharp beak like nose. She ends up a gerudo archer in the royal army. (I am thinking of the princess swan how did you know?)
Venus- non-binary gerudo who has small feathers that grow from her head in addition to her hair. She ends up a jewelry crafter and enchanter
Youngest: Diana - beak like nose, golden eyes, has streaks of Revali's dark blue in her otherwise gerudo red hair. She eventually becomes a healer under Zelda's teaching (she can still fight if she has to)
The song 'Fourth of July' is very Myrah mourning the champions coded
Mary on a cross is just Revali being a simp istg
Myrah and Revali are such bi disasters please help them.
Sometimes I remember that they don't get a Canon happy ending and get sad (and ignore that I could change this)

From Her To Eternity 01 Avalanche/Lavína (Nick Cave)
Avalanche
I stepped into an avalanche It covered up my soul When I am not this hunchback that you see I sleep beneath the golden hill You, who wish to conquer pain You, must learn, learn to serve me well
You strike my side by accident As you go down to your goal This cripple here that you clothe and feed Is neither starved nor cold He does not ask for your company Not at the centre, the centre of the world
And I am on a pedestal You did not raise me there Your laws do not compel me now To kneel grotesque and bare I, myself, am the pedestal For this ugly hump at which you stare
You who wish to conquer pain You must learn what makes me kind The crumbs of love that you offer me Are the crumbs I’ve left behind Your pain is no credential here It’s just a shadow of my wound
I have begun to ask for you I, who have no greed I have begun to long for you I, who have no need You say you’ve gone away from me But I can feel you when you breathe
Do not dress in those rags for me I know you are not poor And do not love me quite so fiercely now When you know that you are not sure It is your turn, my beloved one It is your flesh that I wear

FTGU changed my brain chemistry and made me insane. Just bonkers. It's been years and I still think about Zelda and Teba's journey. And Rhoamet. I was never the same again
Same anon, same
Double fun for me is enough time has passed that I have forgotten most of the details of the fic, so when I reread it I get bamboozled by these beloved Nintendo characters saying bitch and fuck 😳 lmao
