Peppermint, mullein and damiana tea with lemon and mesquite honey.
Peppermint is an anti bacterial while lemon is good for blood pressure. Many herbalists prescribe damiana for mild to moderate depression, anxiety and nervous exhaustion. Mullein has been used traditionally as a remedy for the respiratory tract, including bronchitis.
It’s been a while since I last posted an update. I have been very busy with a lot of local holiday events, and now I can finally take a breath and rest for the remainder of the year. The website will still be open during this time, so I added and restocked some items in the sh0p. Elderberry Syrup Preorders are still available, and Summer and Autumn seasonal items are 20% off, with code SC20 at checkout. This applies to Orange Dreamsicle Body Oil, Apple Pie Spiced Lotion Bars, Pumpkin Spiced Chai Bath Salts, and Autumn Breeze Body Oil. The discount ends when these items sell out, and there are only a few left of each item. That’s all I have for now. Please check out this and everything available on my new sh0p, ashantisgarden.com (l!nk in bi0). Every order comes with a gift. Business and engagement have also been slow online, so feel free to share this post. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.
So I have this spell - (my first ever spell): Stretch it. Twist it. Make it grow. Like a river, let it flow. Three times fast, this hair shall grow. This is my will, So mote it be!
Now - hear me out… If I take that spell and add my rosemary tincture and stinging nettle salve what do we have? A whole enhanced version of the spell!
And with science to back up the magick! :D Both Stinging nettle and rosemary herbs/plants have properties for hair growth - with science research to back them up! :D
I'm not sure where else to put this, but I'm currently in the process of setting up an online shop for wildcrafted and homegrown herbs & fungi (both as raw/dried material and as tinctures), as well as assorted chemicals that I've either synthesized myself or procured.
In the meantime, I'm operating my orders and sales through social media and PayPal.
Below is my inventory. Pricing available upon request. I will also be reposting an updated inventory list with the pricing shown, as soon as I get a chance.
Two different concentrations, two different results.
Folk tinctures are easy to make but you can fine tune any tincturing technique by choosing th right concentration of alcohol.
Alcohol is a mix of ethanol and water, the percentage you read on the label is the percentage of alcohol in the liquid, the rest is water. So 40% alcohol is also 60% water. The percentage is called ‘ABV’ ot ‘alcohol by…
I’m fairly sure that this is going to be the principle palette of the Armorial College of Pride for the foreseeable future. It takes a mix of known tinctures and adds in Fuchsia and Flamingo created just for the ACP.
Metals, colours and stains have their hatching shown below them. Traditionally hatching is used when colour is unavailable, such as woodcuts and other monochrome prints. I intend to post hatched versions of ACP designs for the benefit the colour blind.
Most of the hatchings match standard international patterns, but I’ve made a few changes to accomodate ACP needs. I’ve tried to make things logical, too. Furs don’t get hatching because they are already reasonably distinctive.
Flamingo here is a fur and technically could be considered an ermine variant, Argent semy of ermine spots Fuchsia would be an accurate description. However I have depicted it with semy of plumes and intend to continue doing so.
I wanted to share this palette in case anyone would get joy from seeing and/or using it. If anyone wanted to construct a design I’d certainly consider it for inclusion in the rolls, as it were ;) Hmm maybe I should switch submissions on...
Hey guys, I just added some new tinctures to my shop. I have some for stomach/digestive health, feminine health, sinus issues and mood support available now! All of my tinctures are made from apple cider vinegar instead of alcohol so that anyone can take them. I also add gynostemma, an herb renowned in eastern cultures for it's antioxidant effects. <3
