"Traditionally, there is a particular flower associated with each of the four seasons. The peony is connected to spring because that’s typically when it’s in bloom. Summer is connected to the lotus, fall to the chrysanthemum, and winter to the plum blossom. In Asian culture and in feng shui, we look at time and nature as cyclical, like a wheel, and these four flowers are often depicted together to show the whole cycle of the year through the four seasons."

Dandelion Wine🌼💛~
This year was my first time making dandelion wine, and it was such an experience. Based on the recipe I used, I made a gallon of wine using 4 quarts of dandelions. There were so many dandelions at the beginning of spring, so I was able to get enough. The recipe also ask for the rind and juice of lemons and oranges for extra flavor. Then I add sugar, lots of sugar, and yeast for fermentation. Once I got everything prepared and and mixed together, I had to let it ferment for one week. After that, it was time to bottle up the wine. This part got a little stressful, because one of the bottles literally exploded from the carbonation, and I was worried the same will happen to the rest. Luckily I was able to stop that from happening, by releasing the carbonation from each bottle every couple of days. For this being my first batch, I’d say I did a good job. It turned out great and it tastes so good. My family liked it so much, we are now down to the last bottle. Since dandelions are more plentiful in the spring, this will be a seasonal beverage, and my next batch will be made next spring. I’m really looking forward to making it again.

Roses💕
This is one of my favorite photos from last year. The way the lighting and the colors worked so well in this moment, it was such perfect timing. Roses are one of my favorite flowers. They’re so beautiful, and have many medicinal and magical properties. I work with roses all the time in different creations for my business @ashantisgarden , and I also really love making all kinds of food and drinks with them. My love for roses grows stronger every day.

Often, a plant's physical appearance can give us clues about its energetic impact. Horse chestnut, a big, strong, feisty tree, is an excellent example. Everything about this tree is big and energetic--it grows quickly into a tall tree with a wide domed crown of leaves, and produces plentiful bunches of white flowers and nut-like seeds, called conkers or horse chestnuts. Its essence, unsurprisingly, is an excellent choice for anyone who would like to feel physically or emotionally larger, stronger, or more robust. We recommend this essence for children who are not growing at a healthy rate or who have a low appetite, and for people of all ages who are underweight, poor eaters, or have poor nutrient absorption or digestion. It can also be helpful for those who struggle with low vitality, physical depletion, adrenal exhaustion, and chronic fatigue. On a spiritual level, horse chestnut is useful for those who feel small or insignificant; its calm, reassuring energy can help to lift depressive moods and reassure us of our own strength.

Peony Flower Essence
"If you're attracted to the Peony flower, you may be overextending yourself or overworking. In the process of making big goals happen, sometimes you may push too hard when a softer approach might be more effective. At times you may feel limited, afraid that there is not enough to go around, and the fear of loss sneaks in, causing you to scramble more than is necessary. You may feel like you have to work hard for everything, when in fact it is quite effortless, if only you call on your magnetizing powers.
Alternatively, you may at times feel insecure, embarrassed or shy, leading you to hold back or be overly cautious. You may worry about what others think or you may tend to feel ashamed of whatever makes you unique."
WHAT IT CATALYZES ACTIVATE: MAGNETISM MESSAGE: ATTRACT ABUNDANCE. Loved by so many, the Peony flower magnifies our sense of abundance. It makes you feel full, whole, abundant, grateful. And that kind of mentality just attracts more. Peony flower dissolves any sense of "lack" and feelings of "I don’t have enough" or "I’m not enough." "Lack" does not exist in the Peony world. Peony is like a gorgeous woman with huge ruffly skirts dancing—exquisite, gracious and full of life. It eliminates shame or bashfulness, instead feeling uninhibited and sensuously whole, luscious, wild and delicious. The quality of Peony is to attract and magnetize, like everything is at your fingertips and everything is possible. This is an active process—it's not about sitting back and waiting or things to happen. It's wise to take the necessary steps that get us closer to our goals; however, we must make sure we aren't forcing anything. We can allow ourselves to savor and appreciate whatever fortunate circumstances we are in. We can let our minds run wild with what's possible, without limitations, and discover new ways to make those possibilities a reality. Also, being relaxed and receptive helps us recognize opportunities when they come. We may need to slow down + be more present in order to for the opportunities to reveal themselves. Indulge in moments of absolute gratitude + appreciation for everything in life. Enjoy the present moment.

Strawberry 🍓 and Rose 🌸 Harvest~
Our strawberries were very plentiful this year, so I made some jam out of this first batch and some strawberry lemonade with the last one. The jam turned out great, both the taste and the texture, and the lemonade was very delicious. I also picked more rose petals to dry for later use. Right now, both the roses and the strawberries are done growing for the season, but now I’m waiting for the rose hips to grow on the rose bush.
