I will never forget how like most of the TCF cast never got to have proper childhoods, OG!Cale, Kim Roksoo, Choi Han, Choi Jung-gun, Alberu, Ohn, Hong, Beacrox, etc
Like most of these guys were either
A. Fighting for their lives(Choi Han, CJG, Alberu, Ohn, Hong)
B. Actively on the path to self destruction(OG!Cale)
Or just like having an awful time in general. Like it’s really sad how for a long time, none of them could actually act or be like kids due to the environment they were in.
Alberu being royalty and having to hide things about himself, and probably avoid assassination and kidnapping attempts since he was young.
Kim Roksoo and how he lost his parents at a young age and was abused by his uncle.
Ohn and Hong having to run away because the Cat tribe mistreated them, and they had to survive on their own.
Choi Han being taken away from his family and fighting alone for over a century in the dark forest where he had no one but himself and the monsters that wanted him dead to keep him company.
Choi Jung-gun also being taken away from his family, and losing people who took care of him again, along with like living a thousand years going through who knows what + whatever the hell the god of death made him do.
Beacrox losing his entire family except his father when he was no older than fifteen, and immediately having to live on the run right after.
OG!Cale taking it upon himself to protect his family, and essentially destroying himself because he didn’t know what else to do.
I think about Ohn a lot, like the fact that she was what, nine, maybe ten years old when she had to run away with Hong and make sure they were both okay. The fact that she was protecting him and herself at the same time, the way that she couldn’t ever play around or have fun when she was growing up because she had to make sure they were both okay. She took on as much as she could for Hong because that’s her baby brother and she loves him more than anything.
OG!Cale and Ohn and like, how they both did everything they could for their younger siblings, ohhhhhhh I’m crying I’m crying I’m crying donnttt even look at me rn
Also Hong and Basen, like being the little brother who watches your older sibling take on burdens alone and you want to help but at the same time your your sibling tells you it’s okay and that you should just focus on yourself… When the trope is older sibling(or family figure in general) taking care of younger siblings and they make sacrifices for them, I’m not crying, what do u mean? I actually do not care. At all. Not . One. Bit.
ALSO LOCKKK , TBoaH Lock they could never make me hate you I don’t care if you were annoying, whiney and a coward, if I was you I would be annoying, whiney and a coward too… he’s just thirteen and he lost all his family, obviously he was too scared to go out of hiding, ANYONE would be scared, he was just a young boy and he lost everything. He found people who cared for him, but he lost the person who resembled his uncle and that’s really when his world fell apart. It must have felt like the whole world was against him, that Lock could never have any family ever again.
Like I can imagine he’d probably have this underlaying fear when it came to Choi Han and Rosalyn,
“what if I lose them too?”
Maybe he hated himself for being a coward, for hiding, for not doing anything… maybe he hated himself even more because when he lost Pendrick, he wasn’t even sure if he’d be able to stop cowering and hide when there’s danger. The battle between wanting to be cared for and protected because the world is just too much and wanting to fight back and help because he doesn’t want to lose anyone else
This just makes me think about TBoaH timeline more oh it’s so tragic and sickening I cried

Hey, remember how Cale was constantly scared of Choi Han at the beginning, because of how in the TBOAH timeline he brutally beat OG Cale?
Now remember how Cale beat up the White Star with a rock, in the Test of Wrath in the Sealed God's Temple?
I think.... just as Cale influences other people to act just like him, Cale started emulating Choi Han (or at least, how he sees Choi Han) – in the moments of high stress I mean 😂😂😂

I really need that someone makes a LCF react fic but about "What about the Side Character?" by J_K_Klara.
This fanfic is such a masterpiece. It has art, humor, great characterization, og!Cale as the main character, Choi Meow Soo, team leader og!Cale, great narration, fight in heels, the baffling duality of one Cale!Rok Soo's personality, little niece, caring team 1, glimpses to og!Cale's past life—
It's amazing and I need a react fic with both timelines presents where they watch this. I need young!og!Cale not knowing if stressing because his cover got blew up or getting shy because this thing is revealing how much of a softie he really is. I need KRS!Cale to watch Cale!Rok Soo casually messing with his superiors and accidentally making Park Kyung Ho change opinions over him, and have an anneurysm. I need Lily to know her brother loves her tones. I need tboah!Alberu have a big gay panic because 'oh no, he's hot'. I need Lcf!Alberu to hear Cale!RokSoo's thoughts and wonder if his gibble competences with KRS!Cale are some kind of punishment for that. I need someone to tell og!Cale he's not a bad person.
I just need it.

UGH I'm supposed to study but I can't focus because there's a song in my native language that I JUST can't listen to without relating back to the tboah timeline and the book.
Because: 1. The song's insistence that "Everything is part of the show" like y'know the book and how Cale was convinced that he was in a fictional world at first
2. The "show" not seeming quite right (or seeming 'dead') because tboah was written by Choi Jung Gun who isn't omnipotent and didn't actually know what everyone was thinking and wrote what he assumed they were thinking based on their actions and the events that surrounded them (he got some things right, he got some things wrong)
3. THIS
Tumblr media
There are other things too, but I would have to write an essay.
PLEASE someone tell me im not crazy and this isn't the tcf obsession getting to my head!!!
The song is Μπουρλέσκ (burlesque) by Solmeister and it's up on YouTube and Spotify. If anyone can't find the English translation on Google lmk and I'll link it!!

Been having thoughts about Jour who loves Cale so much it became rather twisted.
Mute Cale AU
Jour psychologically manipulated Cale to be a mute around everyone else and only talk when it's only the two of them.
She also 'made' Cale to appears always happy and full of smile in front of other people.
The reason? She loves his son's voice so much she doesn't want to share it with anyone else. She loves when he smile rather than crying, so she want to keep him smiling.
The noise others ever heard from Cale is only a humming or little giggles.
Overall, he is such a sweetheart and cheerful kid.
As he grow up, he became a kind hearted person. Everyone in the territory loves him.
Since Cale only talks when he is only with Jour, he hasn't talked at all after her death.
The first time he ever cried in front of people other than his mother was at night when he found out that his father went somewhere without telling him not long after her mother's death.
He was following Ron to his son Vicross. He sat on a chair, watching the father and son duo interact.
Cale doesn't even know since when tears started to fall but the next thing he know, he hiccuped.
It's surprised the other two they immediately went to check on him who was crying silently with silent hiccups here and there.
This is the first time they ever see their young master crying. He always full of smile. Even after his mother's death, he still has a small and somber smile on his lip.
As always, I need to make Roksoo appear in some of OG!Cale stories I have. This one is one of those.
The Soos are transmigrated way before the TBOAH timeline at the forest of darkness. They met CH earlier.
Roksoo haven't read the novel, so they follow CJS somewhat guidance.
They live in Harris village. But even though they know the village's fate, they can't change it. So the massacre still happens.
By the time they need to go to the Henituse territory, Roksoo already has the shield.
He doesn't meet the cat siblings because Cale already takes care of them.
When they jump on the territory wall, they are greeted by Cale who coincidentally is on the opposite side of the wall. He was taking a night stroll with two cats in his arms.
Jung Soo jumped when his eyes locked into Cale's wide, surprised eyes. They just stand there looking at each other.
When Soo Hyuk takes a step closer to him, Cale tenses and takes a step back. It makes the other try to be more careful around the young master.
They hastily try to explain their situation. Cale relaxes a little but is still wary of them. He eyes them critically before he lets down the kitten and signs something.
The four Koreans are confused.
Since it's a different world, hand signs are a lot different. Sure there are some that are similar but it still needs time for them to learn if they ever need to.
Seeing them confused, hesitantly he asked for one of them palms. Jung Soo volunteers his palm. He wrote something on his palm.
"Huh? Cale?"
Cale nodded and pointed at himself. Jung Soo tilted his head before realization dawned on him, "ah! Cale" said him while pointing at Cale.
Cale perked up and nodded again. He pointed at his palm then himself then them and wrote something again.
Jung Soo understands his meaning and introduces himself and the others. They talk some more that way before Cale signs for them to follow him.
He opens his arms to let the kitten climb in them. Soo Hyuk tries to ask why he doesn't talk but Cale just smiles at him. Him and Roksoo know that this boy is Cale Henituse, the supposed trash young master. But what they see is completely different. They also can see Jung Soo's confusion.
They meet Ron at the front door. The old man was eyeing them dangerously. Bless Cale who distracts him with small talk. He signs at a rapid pace but the buttler able to follow. He ushered Cale to go to Vicross.
To say that their walk to the count office is tense is understandment. But they are lucky that the Count is as benevolent as rumor.
They then went to Kitchen 2. There, they found Cale signs to a scary chef. Then they heard it, a voice from the back of his throat that sounded like a happy sound. The Koreans found the sound adorable.
Idk what to add anymore.
Oh! The first time Cale talks in front of everyone is when that one moment when Ron is hurt. Cale was crying and with hoarse voice that haven't been used for years he whine, "R-ron, d-don't leave me-"
If someone ever mentions how Ron tears up? A dagger will fly past them or find all their drinks turned into lemon.
Let's say that there is a competition after that to be the next Cale talk to. Especially between Vicross, the kids, and the three Koreans.
I have one more but I still try to work around it. I may or may not share it here.

There are many characters I love in lcf, and there are many relationships I adore.
But I think the relationship i love the most is (well okay maybe after the soos) cale's relationship with his ancient powers, and the way each of them somewhat represent a part of cale's personality.
Like in the crazy kid, cale's disrespectful-punk behavior and thevway he cusses and curses a lot, in the glutton; his appreciation of food, in the super rock; his determination to protect his family and the people he care for, in the crybaby; his fear of vicious people or hate towards the thought of getting hurt, in the cheapskate; his love for money and their crazy behavior when it comes to shitshow-ing, in the thief; his love for treasure hunting, looting and causing chaos upon the enemies' heads.
...etc etc etc. Cale is the mashup version of all these souls.
Additionally, they are literally a part of his soul. They kinda know about his past as Kim Roksu (at least some snippets of it), are fighting with him wherever he is, be it in an illusion or a different world, and are always with him 24/7, when he's calm, panicking, happy or sad, even when he doesn't understand what he's feeling.
It also hit me real hard when the super rock explained why Cale can still hear their voices, and Cale still decided not to absorb the ancient powers completely.
Because they're basically cale's only way out of his fear of being alone, because they are always with him no matter what, unless Cale himself dies or decides to take theor power fully in. And that was what made the wind island test 10 times more angsty for me.
He called out to them, but they were not there.
I also love that part when cale went to get the crazy kid's power and named her the sky eating water instead of the water of judgment; it was especially mind-blowing because unlike other ancient powers' trials, this one was actually really hard. And wasn't one mentioned in tboah. And cale was pretty much dying before obtaining that element.
Same goes with the wind island test where their past was revealed and the dots were finally connected– the western continent's past, how the super rock, the hero of the boulders and his friends were separated and died one by one in the mist tragic ways possible.
The super rock's wish for cale and his party to not be separated, it hurts more when you remember he had built the rock villa originally for him and his companions. His comrades he never got to live there with. But then gifted Cale and his family that villa.
Cale calling super rock the scary giant cobblestone at first was a great crack element in the story, hilarious to say the least, especially when he used to ask him if he was going to sacrifice himself. But then super rock told cale not to sacrifice himself when he actually answered yes, super rock's wish for cale not to end up like him, the lonely hero who sacrificed himself for the world.
Not to end up like them, like how him and his comrades did, separated and dying without each other's knowledge.
They are one of the reasons I actually believe lcf is going to have a happy ending. Because unlike the heroes of the ancient times, our Cale knows he should fight for his and his family's happiness, and not just for the world. To run away when it's really dangerous. Because Cale has them to remind him that sacrifice was never the right solution.
And I hope, through Cale and this timeline's heroes, these ancient souls would see peace and happiness after a lifetime of war and loneliness. Would experience what they never got to in their lives.

Hiya friend! What do you like about og!Cale and your headcanons for him (+Alveru too)? (Sorry for this ask I just want to read more about og!Cale like his personality, abilities, etc I just miss him when I tried and didn't not find much info about him)
The following is a mixture of canon characterization notes for og!Cale and Alver alongside headcanons and conjectures. The headcanons and conjectures are all marked as such and they are based on the limited information we have about the canon dispositions of these characters. We focused mainly on the TBOAH timeline, referencing the LCF timeline in places to support a supposition made.
We apologize for the delay in replying, we were trying to provide you with as detailed an explanation as possible. We eventually realized that we were taking too long to answer so this isn't as detailed an answer as we would like to give you but we hope this helps you get an idea of his personality. If we have time, we'll try to provide a more detailed resource for their characterizations.
Original Cale Henituse
Pre-War
It is observed by Ron that Cale acted like Ohn when he was younger, before he started to act like trash. Extrapolating from that, it is likely that from a young age until around the age of ten, Cale was a precocious and cautious child who is protective of his loved ones. In the specific scene where Ohn reminded Ron of Cale, she was in the middle of receiving her favorite candies because she was worried about her loved ones.Specifically, she was hiding her own worries and fears by acting mature, she struggled specifically because of her own perceptiveness. It is reasonable to extrapolate that as a child, Cale tended to worry about others a lot and he was too perceptive for his own good. It’s also reasonable to assume that Cale may have spent time seeking comfort for servants like Ron.
Due to the nature of nobility in the timeline that the Rowoon Kingdom is loosely based upon, it is also likely that Cale was primarily raised by servants and nannies. There is nothing to back this up in canon aside from Ron being the only character to reflect on Cale’s childhood years. Since there is no mentioned nanny in the current LCF timeline it is likely that Cale chased away the nanny during his trash years (or that the nanny theory is false). If it is true that Cale chased away his own nanny (nannies are frequently something like a surrogate mother to small children), then there is a likelihood that either a) there was an issue with the nanny, possibly related to the vassal families because Cale shows a leeriness toward them when he warned Bassen against showing weakness toward them. Or b) Cale has even more mommy issues than just Jour and Violan and there’s potentially a third mother-figure in his life that he lost. If he chose to chase her away to preserve his trash act, that could result in abandonment issues. There’s also a possibility that she passed away.
While Cale is shown to be a precocious and compassionate child prior to his father’s remarriage, but there is a sharp shift in his behavior afterward. While it is possible that Cale resented his step-family, it feels unlikely in conjunction with his other’s actions. The following has some conjecture to fill the gaps but the majority is based entirely on canon facts. From the bits we get in canon it paints the picture that Cale was worried that Bassen would be too weak to endure the pressure of the vassal family placed upon him, especially as he doesn’t have any Henituse blood in him, and strictly told Bassen to assert himself as a part of the family. However, when it became clear that Bassen would be unable to do so, Cale took drastic measures into his own hands. We speculate that Deruth’s remarriage to Violan happened when Cale was at least ten years old (because 8 years later, Lilly is seven years old) and shortly after Cale began to act like trash. His purpose in acting like a lout was to redirect all negative attention away from his step family (Violan, Bassen, and Lilly) and become a lightning rod for the criticism of the vassal families. He was so successful in this endeavor that at some point, the rest of the family needed to fight against those who would rather he be disowned or at least disinherited.
We speculate that Cale’s reasons for taking such drastic measures to protect his step family might lie in those two years between Jour’s death and Violan’s marriage. Deruth is canonically described as a “buffoon” by Jour (in a loving way) and within LCF canon, he has shown himself to be a bit dense when it comes to politics. Deruth excels in economics but he doesn’t appear to have a tactical mind (from what we have seen of him in canon thus far). He was also shown to have been very distraught by Jour’s sudden death (reasonably so). While we would not go so far as to accuse Deruth of being neglectful of Cale during those two years, it is possible that he trusted the wrong people. If he were to entrust Cale’s education to a seemingly loyal vassal family who had the desire to use Cale rather than teach him, it could result in Cale’s mistrust for his father’s ability to protect his step family from the vassal family. This aspect is purely speculation but it would explain Cale’s rather dramatic decision to take matters into his own hands. This is also another potential juncture in his timeline that could explain the missing nanny, if she was sent away or fired by vassals, he could feel an even stronger desire to protect those that he perceived as “weak” (such as Bassen) in order not to lose them.
For whatever reason, Cale chose the dramatic path of pretending to be trash for eight years straight. A foolish decision of a child carried into early adulthood. At the age of fifteen, he started to drink heavily and get into bar fights. In one of his thoughts while drinking, kim!Cale reflected that Cale’s body had a high alcohol tolerance but his face flushed quickly. This leads to the supposition that despite all of his “drunken” antics, Cale was only faking because of his alcohol tolerance. A strong alcohol tolerance can often also relate to tolerance against medicine and drugs, so it is possible that Cale has a certain level of endurance against being drugged or poisoned. While Cale was “drunk”, he would frequently pick fights at bars but it is noted that while he would destroy furniture and bottles, he never hit anyone. And the only people he would pick fights with would be gangsters and other lowlives. Cale is shown to have a disdain for people like that, possibly out of an internal sense of justice or simply because he finds them annoying.
In one such bar fight, Cale picks on a suspicious vagrant from Harris Village. He bullies Choi Han on multiple occasions before Choi Han cracks and beats the shit out of Cale, leaving him with a noticeable scar and significant injuries. It isn’t stated outright whether Cale would normally shit-talk people like Choi Han, the survivor of a horrific tragedy, in such horrible ways but we have some speculation as to why he did it. To be clear, we do not endorse any of the things that Cale said to Choi Han. One of the reasons that canon directs us to believe Cale had such a volatile reaction to Choi Han is the mention of “Harris Village”. His mother’s sudden death was after a visit to Harris Village. Cale was only eight at the time and his understanding of the situation was that his perfectly healthy mother left to visit the village and then came back at death’s door. Since Jour died from cracking her own plate, there wouldn’t be any clear understanding of how she died for Cale to latch onto. Considering Cale’s disdain for gangsters, it’s possible that he believed his mother was attacked in the village and died from her injuries. Since no one in the village helped her, to his knowledge, it’s possible that he wrote off the entire village as “bad people”. That said, Cale is 18 years old when he picks a fight with Choi Han and in the 10 years since Jour died, he should have reconsidered the situation. We offer a secondary explanation for Cale’s behavior toward Choi Han. While we believe that a portion of it was because Cale’s trauma was triggered, we speculate that the upcoming nobles meeting had a lot to do with it.
In the LCF timeline, kim!Cale spent a few days in Cale’s body while pretending to be a lout (badly) before Deruth told Cale that he would be going to the capital as the heir apparent, in Bassen’s place. As Cale is still acting like trash at the age of 18, it is likely that Cale wants Bassen to be the heir to the Henituse family and he is purposefully attempting to get disinherited. Since Deruth was so quick to change his mind, literally giving Cale the role of heir after a very short amount of time spent behaving well after literal years of misbehavior, it is very likely that Deruth wanted to send Cale to the capital the entire time. As stated before, Cale is a perceptive person so it is very possible that he knew that Deruth still wanted to send him instead of Bassen so Cale was searching for something to do that would force his father to give up on him, or at bare minimum clear the path for Bassen, thus when the violent and traumatized Choi Han crossed his path, he was a convenient entity. If Cale got beat up bad enough, he wouldn’t be able to travel to the capital. And as a fringe bonus, due to his issues with Harris Village, he would probably feel justified in his cruel words. As an addition, we have a headcanon that Bassen was caught up in the terror attack on the capital and he was either injured or killed. Either would result in Cale being really fucked up with guilt over sending Bassen to the capital.
After successfully getting his ass handed to him, Cale would wake up to learn that Ron and Vicross had left with Choi Han. While it is unclear whether Cale had any attachment at all to Vicross (the few times Vicross mentions information about the young master prior to his possession, Vicross’s accounts are distant as though they didn’t interact much and he didn’t have any interest in interacting with Cale before Cale was possessed by Kim Roksu), it is clear that there is some sort of relationship between Ron and Cale. Ron is shown to have been one of the servants responsible for caring for Cale as he grew up and one of the few characters who never show fear to Cale, only suppressed amusement. It’s clear that Ron has some attachment to Cale, with the number of times in LCF that he thinks fondly about Cale pre-possession, and he appears to be one of the few characters to show any actual suspicion about Cale’s sudden change in behavior when Kim Roksu possessed his body. He’s also the only character we see rationalize the change by comparing the similarities between Kim Roksu’s personality and Cale’s personality (recognizing that Cale has always had a compassionate side, even while he was trash). While it is also clear that Ron prefers kim!Cale to og!Cale, there’s definitely a bond there. Ron’s sudden disappearance from Cale’s life was likely a blow. Although, it is debatable whether he would resent Ron for this or not.
It is noted by Ron that Cale was never aggressive toward his family, even when he was drunk as hell. And the manhwa even provides us with an image of Cale sitting next to his siblings peacefully. So while Cale’s behavior was definitely cruel, aggressive, and trashy, he was never abusive to his siblings or parents. It’s also stated that Cale never defied his father directly and that Cale comforted Deruth after Jour’s death.
We can definitely speculate that Cale’s behavior is significantly more extreme than kim!Cale’s. Whenever kim!Cale would do something rude and trashy, people would heave a sigh of relief because it lacked the extreme measures that Cale would go to. From this information, we speculate that Cale yelled a lot more than kim!Cale and broke things more often, especially since people flinched away from him so much. We also speculate that Cale has superb aim because while he threw things at people a lot, he never hit them. This shows that he has enough control to avoid hitting them, even when intoxicated.
Further speculation about Cale’s influences at a young age. Cale is described as “elegant” multiple times during his brief appearances in canon. While it is likely that this description is meant to allude to his nobility, there aren’t many other noble characters who are described as elegant. Since Jour died when he was still very young and her personality from the diary is bouncy and playful, it is unlikely her influence. Since Deruth is never described as elegant, rather as a “buffoon”, it’s also unlikely to be his influence. This leaves three candidates for Cale’s elegance: Ron, Violan, and the potential nanny that we speculated about existing. Ron is graceful but we lean toward Violan in this case because of one other piece of slim evidence. Kim!Cale’s clothes throughout the LCF manhwa are excessive and fashionable, but everything we know about Kim Roksu directs to an interest in simple and black clothes. Whenever he chooses his own clothes, such as when he was investigating the capital before the terror attack and when he chose his uniform as a commander, kim!Cale always leaned toward “simple and black”. However he has an extensive wardrobe of beautiful clothes. We speculate that those clothes belonged to Cale (obviously) and kim!Cale is merely wearing what the servants dress him in. We see something like this happen in the early chapters, with kim!Cale privately disapproving of the loud clothes but surmising that he could pull it off because of Cale’s handsome face. Moving into our speculations regarding Violan, she has a passion for the arts and fashion is an art. She’s also an ex-merchant so she would know the value of fine fabrics and fine clothes. In the flashback we see of eight year old Cale, he does not appear to have any sort of excessive tastes in fashion. Thus, we are of the opinion that Cale was influenced by Violan in both elegance and fashion due to her close proximity to him growing up. Violan is shown to be the only person in the household that is remotely strict to Cale (and even that is pushing it) by insisting that kim!Cale has an entourage for his own safety. As the only parental figure left in his life who is willing to tell him “no”, we think that Violan would have a specific impact on him. All of that said, it is also possible that Cale was influenced elsewhere or merely had innate elegance, we just find that this explanation creates a lot of room for Cale to bond with his step family and grow attached to them, thus making the tragedy of losing them all the worse. Also it’s just a more compelling explanation to us than “he’s just elegant, don’t question it” lol.
On the note of speculated relationships, we speculate that Cale’s relationship with Eric was stronger when they were younger and became strained when Cale began to act like trash. Eric, being a bullheaded person, never gave up on “fixing” Cale’s misbehavior which led to Cale distancing himself further. We headcanon that the pair of them got into funny little antics together, because of Cale’s precocious nature and Eric’s strong personality. Perhaps they studied together. We also speculate that Cale had some sort of frenemy relationship with Neo Tolz, simply because Neo seemed to have a personally beef with Cale when he attempted to pick a fight with kim!Cale. On that note, we believe that Cale would have had a largely negative feeling toward Raon because his only knowledge of the tragic baby dragon was that he had a mana explosion and murdered a bunch of people relatively close to his own territory, perhaps crossing the border depending on how long it took Choi Han to subdue him. And on a purely speculative note with no canon basis, we have a headcanon that Cale would sneak into Lilly’s nursery and play with her when she was a baby/toddler. Purely because it would be really cute and we love Cale treasuring his baby sister. It’s possible that Cale helped with Lilly’s sword training, since he was in good shape when Kim Roksu possessed his body. We like to headcanon that he also helped Bassen with his studies sometimes, albeit behind a mask of strictness.
(On a side note, Cale appears to have a lot of pride in being a Henituse from the few scenes we see him in and he seems concerned about the family he left behind in order to save the world)
An unspecified amount of time later, Cale was the only survivor of the Henituse territory being destroyed and joined the army in order to fight against the White Star and avenge his family.
During War
Actions:
Recruited as a soldier, joins the army with the intent to get revenge against the White Star. He said he just wants to leave a scratch on the WS, or he can’t die in peace.
Fought in a war for twenty years, in enough battles to get a body covered in scars.
During the great battle in puzzle city, where the fallen nation’s survivors banded together, he almost died after hearing the White Star mention that Choi Han’s time was warped.
He then made a deal with the god of death, to switch with a person who could save his family and territory. By rewinding time back to Choi Han’s meeting with Cale. His other condition was to find out the truth about his mother’s death, and be reunited with her (i think)
HC:  His options to make an impact in any other way probably seemed realistically limited. A little suicidal. He would have been reckless, wanting to fight in the vanguard for the most part. Choosing jobs that can bring him closer to the Generals and other people in power in the White Star’s army to kill them. He would want to kill as many of the enemy as possible, partially because he may not know who exactly killed his family. Anyone in that Army could’ve been one of the people responsible.
Motivations:
HC: Revenge, Existential Crisis, Survivor’s guilt, Suicidal feelings/thoughts, love for his family and territory, wanting justice, loyalty. Extreme anger. Hopelessness, trying to find hope.
Relationships:
HC: Not sure about this one. We don’t know who he was close to during the war. But he does mention Alver, Choi Han, Rosalyn, and Lark. Doesn’t mean he came into contact with them much if at all, or spoke to them and such. They may have lead him during battles at some points. He could have taken direct orders, but I feel like a commander lower on the food chain would be leading him since he was a foot soldier.
Opinions:
HC: Cale was only living at that point to get revenge, it is what kept him alive, and prevented him from falling into despair and ending everything. He has survivor’s guilt, and couldn’t just die for several reasons. Avenging the family, trying to make sure their deaths aren’t meaningless etc;
Post War
(We'll try to add more detail later, such as his relationships with his coworkers, bosses, and Choi Jungsoo. Alongside the characterization we see of him in canon. We weren't able to get to this. This section is largely incomplete. However, we do recommend reading the side story "Team Leader has become Trash!" or anything written by @asterefflores for a good idea on how to characterize Heniroksu properly.)
Relationships
Jour Henituse (reincarnation):
The reincarnation of Cale’s mother Jour. She has no memory of her previous life and currently lives in an orphanage. She calls Cale her uncle.
Headcanon: Cale has a lot of issues raising his own mother as a daughter in an unfamiliar world. He loves her and cares about her but damn, fate is fucked up. He finds comfort in having her nearby though, as the only family that he has left. And it's an interesting experience for him to get to know his mother for the first time. She died when he was only eight years old so he really didn't know her very well back then. Now he's able to get to know her and love her like a daughter. It's a strange and awkward relationship but it's the only familial one he has left.
Opinions
HC: Cale as KRS is a hard worker but hates it. He doesn’t want to work the night shift. He is always threatening to quit to keep people in line. He wants to be the CEO of the company so he doesn’t have to work so hard. He talks about drinking at work. People find his smile strange. His elegance strange. They say he radiates class. He has a nickname ‘i want to quit kim rok soo.’  He was supplied with information about KRS and records of his memories i think lmao he also inherited all of KRS’ abilities. He works on building a relationship with his reincarnated mother
Alver Crossman
During War
Actions:
Ascended to king after Zed Crossman was killed in puzzle city. Made sure the Roan Kingdom survived for twenty whole years through a worldwide war. Worked with fallen Kingdoms, gathered them to fight in a great battle toward the very end. It is implied he was the brain behind the army. He raised people like Choi Han to be heroes. Recruited soldiers from across the Roan Kingdom. There is also information about Robbit, that after Alver died in the war in TBOAH original timeline, Robbit was the one to take over. If Alver died, it was before time was reset.
Motivations:
HC: Alver wants to win the war. Period. Liberate the freaking kingdom, defeat the white star, recover all the lost areas, protect his people and ensure as many survive as possible, and drive the enemy out of his kingdom, defeat them, and live. Because Alver is someone who has a very strong will to live. This should never be underestimated or ignored. He is the opposite of suicidal. In the case of if Tasha died during the war, he would be even more determined to win it. In this aspect, he and og!Cale are alike. Alver can survive any amount of pain, not undamaged, or unbroken, but he will go on. He won’t stop fighting until there is nothing left to fight for or he is dead and this is what makes him truly terrifying when combined with his intelligence and how far he is willing to go. He is an excellent leader because he never stops moving forward. He knows how to inspire people, raise them up as heroes, and is an extremely powerful orator. He’s one bad bitch.
Relationships
Zed Crossman:
HC & Canon?: Died in a battle of puzzle city early on in the war? Which makes it seem like there were two puzzle city battles. I haven’t been able to figure out what happened there to this day.
Tasha:
HC: I imagine she and Shawn were by Alver’s side for a majority of everything. Likely both Commander Shawn and Tasha were commanders, leading the dark elves, and other races alike. Or, she could have died, and this is something I contemplate a lot unfortunately. How many people actually survived this war? Anyway –
Northeastern Nobles:
The Eastern lands were among the first to be attacked and burnt to the ground, this is why the Roan Kingdom was desperately trying to recover the eastern areas of the Kingdom.
HC: if any of the northeastern nobles survived, I imagine they went into hiding or fought like Cale, or did what a lot of people in war do, evacuate the mothereffing country. But where would they go when all their neighbors were being conquered, defeated and subjugated, some sacrificed most likely? It’s uncertain.
----
((We will attempt to finish this overview of characterization for both og!Cale and Alver when we have the time to do so! We apologize for the incomplete notes provided.))

KRS isn't Cale au, but KRS is turned into a teenager (with all of his scars still for some reason) and stumbles out of the land of Death draped in black and with no understanding of the world around him except for how to kill magical beasts.
The Caro Kingdom pick him up but he just keeps mentioning that he needs to get to Roan, it's the last thing he was told before he woke up so he has to get there (not to mention KRS suspects he's in TBOAH bc it's the Caro kingdom.) They agree to help him get there because because unknown child stumbling out of a forbidden area with no memories but where potentially his family is isn't something to argue with; but when they get priests to check on him they say he's touched by death until GoD's priests check on him and its like "holy shit he's a Saint. And he isn't mortal. He's like some vessel of death in physical form."
And instantly the Caro kingdom become worried that they're they're a walking talking omen of Death into one of the nations they have good relations with outside of the empire, but seeing the shift KRS claims he has to get to "Cage-noona" to help her! And the GoD priests just say to let him go because its a well known fact within the temple that Cage hears GoD talk so KRS must be a god sent creature to help her so best ship him off right away.
They drop him at the border after he tells them GoD has summoned Cage and she meets nearby but he just fucks off to try and figure out where in the timeline he is unknowingly leaving an entire nation on the edge of their seats because did the GoD just send his son down to earth!? (Think Catholic view of the holy trinity, where Jesus was sent by God to enact his will on earth in a mortal body)
Shenanigans ensue and eventually the two cross paths and Cage starts going off that now she's a babysitter!?! And KRS is like "No? Leave me alone." Which she tool personally and now she's GOING to be this bastards brats noona.

What happens when Cale Henituse is killed by the White Star?
The Unknown God [Seere] is in charge of claiming the soul of the last descendant of the Thames, preventing the God of Death from making a transmigration pact and distorting the timeline that was destined to happen in the TBOAH world.
Due to this and in order for him to live prosperously, said soul reincarnates as Nathan Drake in a totally different world.
After ending the events of Uncharted 4: The Thief's End, the God of Death manages to interfere in the adult's new life to transport him to both his old world and body, giving him the memories of everything that happened during the war.
Forced to embark on a new adventure, Cale sets out to put an end to the White Star's plans while finding a way for him and his family to return home.
He is calm, collected and works well under pressure; however, he can sometimes let his emotions get the best of him, especially in times of great stress (This usually leads to fits of rage or nervous panic, which are followed by a dry, cynical comment). The trait that stands out the most is his dry humor, even in dangerous situations.
As a former treasure hunter and thief, he frequently faces various types of enemies and dangers, although this does not seem to discourage him (Typical of an adrenaline junkie). Because of this, he possesses a callous and somewhat sadistic contempt for his adversaries; killing without remorse, although always in self-defense (He is against cold-blooded executions).
Due to his first life as Cale and his second life as Nathan, he is self-taught in history and several languages, as well as being highly intelligent.
Surprisingly Cale's main skill is with weapons, he has a trained hand and is a very good shot, although he also has experience with light swords.
An extraordinarily skilled runner and climber, capable of leaping great distances and possessing formidable strength as well as a tolerance for pain. His improvised fighting style, while effective against most of his opponents, can be outmatched by much more experienced or intelligent combatants.
He is too proficient when it comes to fighting without weapons. Sullivan and Elena agree that he could be considered a perfect example of a "one man army"; able to take on people much bigger and stronger than him. However, Cale is not invincible and can also be overwhelmed or subdued by any opponent.
Ever since he woke up in his old body, Cale doesn't know how to feel about Count Deruth and Ron Molan and tries to keep his distance. He believes that Sullivan has been an excellent father/mentor and that he could not replace him, even if these people were once a kind of “father” figure.
Victor Sullivan, Samuel Drake, and Elena Fisher are transported to TBOAH. Seere decided to send them there when he found out about the stupidity that the God of Death did with his protégé, therefore, to avoid misunderstandings or that the relationship between the four of them would be broken; she ends up telling them all the details of Nathan's past life as Cale Henituse.
All the people of TBOAH are a bit insecure and incredulous before the actions that the well-known "Trash" has carried out and the frequency with which it gets into trouble. To the point of theorizing that the presence of those unknown people at his side is an indication of his current behavior.
Cale ends up adopting On and Hong after attempting to flee the Henituse Territory by scaling one of the walls and failing miserably when he ends up colliding with Choi Han, causing them both to fall carelessly from above though luckily they managed to avoid crushing the little cats (Both are too stubborn to accept that they hurt themselves falling and end up returning to the redhead's mansion after a "painful" walk).
Choi Han, On and Hong did not help Cale to rescue Raon, instead, Sullivan and Elena were his support, because in the middle of an exploration they ended up finding the location of the cave and after "kindly" eliminating the guards; they find the dragon and release it. At first none of them understand why he decides to follow them, however, after hearing him say that he wanted to protect the kind and clumsy human, well, they decide to let him do whatever he wants even if they have to put up with Cale's complaints for two hours.

Army Dreamers by Kate Bush with TCF would make me cry I think
“What could he do, should have been a rockstar.
But he never had the money for a guitar”
“What could he do, should have been a politician
But he never had a proper education”
“What could he do, should have been a father
But he never even made it to his twenties”
LIKE THE POTENTIAL HERE !!! The lines work well for various characters I think, whether it be in the context of the original timelines or the current time lines.

TCF Prompt 23
TBOAH/TCF AU - Afterword's - Hunters
After 22 years of a terrible war - And two years since the death of one Cale Henituse - Choi Han and Alberu Crossman fall at the hands of the White Star and SG.
When they regress, their memories mix in with the new and they are shocked at what has transpired in this new timeline.
Harris Village lives on, and Choi Han is no 'Hero', but a Guardian to the Village, Forest and Henituse Territory.
Alberu Crossman awakens to having the kingdom in the palm of his hands, seemingly loved by his people and having quite the backing he had always yearned for.
And then there's Cale. Cale who regressed, became a dear friend at a young age, and of course an amazing Commander in the war. And along with his brother, Kim Rok Soo, changed the fate of their world and saved it from the White Star/SG. In just two years no less.
They are both pleased at this turnout and at a loss of what to do now(what did they regress for?).
Then a group who call themselves the Hunters attack. And no, they don't go after the Soo's who reincarnated, nor went after Choi Han and Alberu who transmigrated and regressed.
No, they went after Cale. Who knows too much. And much like his mother, places burdens on his shoulders that are too heavy for him to bare alone. All at the behest to protect his loved ones from harm and so that his precious brother can finally achieve his slacker life.
But now its everyone else's turn to protect him.
-----------------
New timeline - group knows Cale regressed/Soo's transmigrated, etc.(War ended with Cale at 22, KRS 20, etc)
LSH, CJS are here as well. And helped out in the war.
Choi Han, Alberu and Cale were all known as "The Big Three", as they were the strongest fighters left in tboah world.
Cale died saving them and the last few good soldiers they had.
Choi Han and Alberu are very protective of Cale.
KRS and the others learn just how dark/terrible that timeline was
KRS realizes there was a lot Cale never told him, and that while he has slowly healed and learned to finally love himself(with a lot of aid from his said brother), Cale never took the time to do that for himself(the hypocrite).
Cale is extremely smart, and a scary good actor.
Cale has the AP's, while KRS retained his abilities from earth(KRS has a good plate...Cale not so much). They both still coughed up blood/fainted tho. Much to the stress of everyone around them.
Henituse family loves Cale just as much as KRS, there was just tons of miscommunication, etc, once again. And Cale is just as oblivious as his brother. But it gets figured out and fixed.
Cale is still the only red head in the family, KRS has brown hair like Deruth. Which also adds to some of the drama(but is finally dealt with).
Cale is the kids favorite uncle. He spoils them rotten(along with Mary).
Beacrox is Cale's hyung, which he takes srsly*stares at Choi Han*.
Cale doesn't realize Ron, Eruhaben and Fredo think of him as their kid along with KRS. He bout to find out though.
KRS and Cale are downright scary when they work together. And ppl learned never to let Cale and Rosalyn experiment on magic, etc together.
Cale learned a lot of things about the Hunters on his own(while KRS was off resting from his "shenanigans".)
He also learned that GoB isn't so...balanced as it thinks it is. Because of this, he was attacked while trying to get this info to GoD and CJS.
GoD is upset and protective that one of his favs got hurt. And from trying to protect him no less.
Eric, Amiru and Gilbert all had a bigger part to play, and protective of Cale.
OverProtective!Everyone for Cale!
Cale, Cage and Bud are all drinking buddies(and have to be separated cause they cause a lil too much Chaos for Alberu to handle)
Can have romance if wanted, but not needed(ChoiCaleAlberu and PolySoo's for example?)

Do you have more character analysis on og!Cale and how his relationships are with the other characters? Before and after transmigrating
Well, I'd love to, but..... here's the thing. For all the hype about OG Cale – and I'm definitely a member of that crowd, don't get me wrong – there isn't actualy... much about him. That is actually canon, I mean.
In fact, despite being one of the most popular characters in the fandom, OG Cale is only present in the novel for less than three full chapters in total (655-657), and all of them are spent mostly discussing how the war in the TBOAH timeline went down, not OG Cale's personal relationships.
Everything we know is all told through KRS!Cale perspective, who mostly just makes guesses and some pretty inaccurate assumptions. Sure, there was some stuff on how OG Cale treated his family in the TBOAH novels; but because "Nelan Barrow" did not really know the actual reason behind OG Cale choosing to act like trash... It's all extremely vague.
Nelan Barrow goes like: "OG Cale yelled at his servants yet never actually hit any of them, respected his father but kept distance from his family, and the closest person to a father figure he had was Ron Molan whom he treated like a human being". And that was basically everything, without any context added.
Ron had all of one flashback about OG Cale comforting his father after Jour's funeral. No explanation about Deruth's second marriage, about Basen – not even that they're not biologically related! OG Cale himself stated that "no matter how hard he tried to act like trash, they wouldn't kick him out", so that means the whole Henituse family did love OG Cale unconditionally. And also Ron and Beacrox were visibly quite tired of his nonsense by the time Cale transmigrated. But beyond that...
Well, to be fair, there were some minor characters sprinkled here and there who had a connection to OG Cale, before KRS!Cale got to meet them. There was Hans the butler, who was kind of scared of OG Cale... before he loosened up completely around KRS!Cale. And also there was the Eric Wheelsman, Gilbert Chetter and Amiru Ubarr trio; who were OG Cale's childhood friends because of their connection as North Eastern nobles. There was also the unnamed niece/OG Cale's reincarnated mom, and some Korean characters came up in the extras. They're all great characters, but... all of their relationships with OG Cale were exactly as one might expect: they're confused by OG Cale, yet overall like him (because for all the "trash personna" he did, OG Cale was never actually a bad person).
...Not much left to be said here.
And regarding the 20 years of war in the TBOAH timeline... OG Cale could be a biased narrator like Cale himself, but it sounded like he wasn't really anyone super important. He saw the confrontation between Choi Han and the White Star from the sidelines, not as someone close to the "main hero". He was just a soldier in the background of the battlefield. I doubt he talked to Choi Han even once.
Look, overall, most of OG Cale's relationships can be deduced or estimated from context – like the fact that despite his terrible reputation, no one who knew him actually hated him all that much – but in true canon, there's nothing much going on regarding his bonds with anyone aside his family. Yes, we can headcanon all kinds of drama based on Choi Han's violent actions in the beginning of TBOAH, followed by him leaving with both Ron and Beacrox without them saying goodbye to OG Cale... But that's all fan theories. In the TCF novel, OG Cale is a complete mystery for over 600 chapters.
...Which is probably why fans are so obsessed with him. Fleshing out OG Cale's character is super fun. No wonder there are so many Twin AUs, hahaha!

WAIT—
Fairy Tail x LCF crossover AU where Gildarts and Jour are cousins.
This is, of course, in an AU where both worlds are one and the same. Earth Land is the name of their world and Fiore and the other kingdoms/places are located in a southeast part of the Eastern continent that limits with a commonly known dangerous part of the ocean. So, people don't usually go there unless they're already in the Eastern continent— or they live there and, therefore, are just used to it.
Then, maybe, when Gildarts was young he and his family went on a trip to the Eastern continent but he somehow got lost and ended up in Fiore. And when he finally found his way back to his parents, they were already gone (I mean dead, they are dead. No, they didn't abandoned him). So he decided to go back to Fiore to that nice guild he stayed in before.
Many years later, one Cale Henituse (the original one, of course), appears at the guild's doors asking the girl working in the bar for "a redhead man around his forties, probably tall. I think his childhood nickname was Gil".
The loud "wait! Are you Gildarts' illegitimate child?" exclamation that Natsu let out shocked everyone so much that the ongoing fight on the background stopped dead. Elfman fell face to the ground. Levi almost ripped off her book. Gray almost tripped into Erza's cake. And Cana—
Cana choked with her beer. Does she have a sibling?
After a short explanation that let even more questions than before, she learned that no, she doesn't have a sibling (not as far as she knows, at least). She does, however, have a cousin and a lunatic running wearing her second uncle's body (wtf??? That's creepy).
Hearing the newbie's story (yes, he was one of them now. No, she did not ask), Mira called the Master, who called Gildarts, who told them that he would be there in a week.
Meanwhile, why don't they start with his tutoring? After all, they can't have a member that can't use magic, can they?
This is before TBOAH timeline goes south, btw. And it won't. Cale has an army of crazy, loud, bamf magicians by his side.

will og cale be able to stop his trash act say he got beaten by choi han and he gets a dream which is the tboah timeline will he be able to stop trying to act trash?
I dont think he would, bc hes doing it to protect basen and violan. His goal would still be to protect them so i think if he were to know what happened in his original timeline, he would just try to hide that hes saving the world while still pretending to be trash. Which can lead to the fun scenarios of people finding out like: “choi han just found infamous trash cale henituse raiding an arm base and ruining their plans” or “infamous trash cale henituse was at a random high society event being a drunk when an elf showed up to talk to him about meeting the world tree and they teleported away together”
