MASTERLIST | SUPPORT ME!
Tumblr media
The party at the Sigma Tau house is full on raging, Harry is sat on the old, worn down couch on the back porch, watching an intense beerpong game when one of the freshmen appear next to him.
“H? You said you wanted me to let you know when she’s here,” the boy leans down, so Harry can hear his words over the beaming music. He nods. “Well, she just arrived with her roommate.”
“Thank you, Pete,” Harry nods and dismisses the boy, who disappears right away. Harry grabs his beer and downs the rest of it before rising from the couch.
“Where you going? I thought we are up next,” Mitch calls after him when he sees Harry rounding the couch to leave.
“Something came up,” Harry nods towards the house and Mitch already knows what that means.
“Ah, more like someone,” he smirks, swinging his arm around Sarah, who is sitting right next to him.
“Give me a break, not everyone has been in a happy relationship since the first day of college,” Harry snorts before leaving his friend behind.
Your roommate, Gina hands you a drink as you’re curiously eyeing the people around you. It’s your first party since the start of the new school year, you couldn’t go to the semester opening party a few weeks ago, because you arrived back to campus a few days after everyone, dealing with some family stuff back at home.
“Cheers to the hottest bitches on campus,” Gina grins, bumping her red cup against yours.
“Who would that be?” you chuckle, taking a sip from the drink, realizing just how strong it is, the vodka is already burning your throat.
“You and me in these hot outfits, you silly!” she winks at you before downing half of her drink right away, even though you know it’s just as strong as yours.
“There’s my baby!”
A six foot two mass of muscles shows up right behind Gina, locking her in his arms from behind, pressing a kiss to her cheek. She melts into Jaxon’s embrace with a lovesick look on her face.
“Hi babe, sorry we’re a bit late. Y/N didn’t want to come.”
“Hey! I didn’t even protest this time!” you scoff, making Gina laugh.
“Okay, it’s true, but I didn’t want Jax to know we were late because I had a mental breakdown about what to wear.”
“It’s alright, baby. I know how it goes with you,” Jax chuckles, kissing the top of her head sweetly. They are disgustingly love, have been dating for almost a year now and you just know they will be together even when you graduate. You’re happy for your friend, but you already know she’ll disappear with her boyfriend and leave you alone at the party, as always.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Gina says looking at you with narrowed eyes, slightly swaying in Jaxon’s arms.
“Mm, are you a mind reader?” you hum into your cup, taking another tiny sip.
“You think I’ll disappear with Jax and abandon you.” She gazes over your shoulder, a tiny smirk tugging on her lips before looking back at you. “I will disappear, but you won’t be abandoned.”
“What are you—“
“Hey princess,” a familiar voice speaks up behind you and when you turn around you’re met with none other than Harry Styles. Your heart skips a beat and you can feel your cheeks heating up and Harry enjoys it way more than he probably should, but he just loves getting you all nervous and flustered.
“Harry, hi,” you breathe out, looking at your grinning friend. She planned it. She made a pact with Harry to keep you company while she sneaks away with her boyfriend.
On one hand it’s sweet, but on the other, she knows how you feel about Harry. She knows you have a crush on him, but you’re also trying to keep him away from you. When you met him through Jaxon last year it seemed like your crush was mutual, that Harry seemed to like you too, yet you still shut the door right into his face when he tried to shoot his shot, several times since then.
Harry is in a frat, he’s popular and could date any girl on campus. Why would he want to be with you? You’re not the kind of girl frat boys date, you only go to a handful of parties throughout the year, you’re more focused on your studies, you’re never the girl guys notice upon first sight. Gina is.
At first you thought it’s just a game for Harry, you kind of still do. He probably just wants you to be another punch on his belt, a story he can laugh about with his frat friends, but you thought he would have already given up. Yet, he is still right here, grinning down at you, when he could be hitting on any girls at the party.
“Harry volunteered to keep you company so you don’t have to third wheel us, how nice of him!” Gina sighs dreamily and you give her a hard look. “I’ll find you later, okay? Don’t leave alone,” she says before grabbing Jaxon’s hand and pulling him upstairs to lock themselves up in his room for a while. They always do this.
Sighing you turn to look at Harry, who is standing so close to you, you can smell his cologne and see every little freckle on his face. He is annoyingly handsome, even with that stupid grin on his face and you hate him for it.
“You don’t have to babysit me, I’ll be fine on my own.”
“I’m not babysitting you, just eager to spend time with you,” he corrects you. “Because I like being with you, princess.”
That damn nickname. He’s been calling you princess since day one and for a long time you didn’t know why. One time you had a particularly bad day and ran into Harry. He could sense your distress and talked you into taking a walk with him, he listened to you rage about everything that went wrong that day and he bought you an ice-cream. It was incredibly sweet of him and that day you felt like you fell for him a bit and the wall you were trying to pull up between the two of you was falling down.
You asked him why he calls you princess that day.
“Because you act like a princess, in a good way. You’re nice to everyone, always know what to say and you’re as smart as I imagine a princess to be,” he told you with a smirk as he walked you back to your dorm.
“So it’s not because you think I’m spoiled?” you chuckled.
“You? Spoiled? Y/N, I saw you yearn after the last chocolate pudding in the cafeteria only to then give it to Gina because she was on her period and wanted something sweet. A spoiled princess would have never done that,” he said and your jaw almost dropped to the floor that he noticed it and also remembered it.
“So you pass on the chance to flirt with other girls just to keep me company?” you ask, lifting your cup to your lips, taking another sip, but you frown at the strength of it.
“You don’t like your drink?” he asks, ignoring your question.
“It’s a bit too strong. Gina made it.”
“Oh, I see. Gina is one hell of a mixer,” he chuckles. “Let me make you another one.”
He doesn’t even wait for your answer, already steps to the counter to do so while carrying on with the conversation.
“So, when are we going on a date, Y/N?” he asks so shamelessly, so easily while your heart is about to burst out of your chest at his question.
“Aren’t you tired of it, Harry?” you sigh, hoping to hide your true reaction to his words. He stops and gives you a sidelook before finishing up your drink and turning to face you fully.
“Aren’t you tired of rejecting me, Y/N?” he simply asks.
Sighing you fold your arms on your chest, not sure what to do or say. He confuses you. Or more like your feelings for him and his obvious interest in you. As you stand in the kitchen you could spot at least four girls eyeing him with dreamy looks in their eyes as they watch Harry, who is only looking at you. You’re not used to anyone flirting with you this openly, showing you interest and going after you no matter what. The attention alone would be unusual to you, but receiving it from Harry is just the cherry on top.
Harry can see the gears turning in your head and he drops the humorous act as he hands you your new drink and places his hand to your upper arm.
“Why don’t we have a talk somewhere more private?” he asks and your eyes widen at the thought of being alone with him. “Just to talk, Y/N. I promise. Do you trust me?”
“I do,” you nod and actually mean it.
He moves his hand to your lower back and ushers you out of the kitchen and right to the stairs leading to the second floor where the bedrooms are. You move past some couples making out in the hallway until you reach Harry’s room. He opens the door for you and you step inside, earning the first glimpse of his private space for the very first time.
It’s cleaner than you expected, his double bed is neatly made, the messiest spot in the room is his desk that’s packed with textbooks and notes, his backpack sitting on the chair. He has a guitar in the corner and an oldschool vinyl player too on top of a sidetable, a collection of records stacked next to it.
You don’t want to pry too much, so you just awkwardly stop in the middle of the room and turn to face Harry.
“So, let’s talk, princess.”
“Okay,” you breathe out, taking a sip from your new drink. It obviously has a lot less alcohol in it, mixed with something sweet and savory.
“Why do you keep running from me?” he asks bluntly, gesturing towards his bed to invite you to sit on the edge with him.
“I’m not running from you,” you reply, but you don’t sound convincing at all.
“Yes you are, since the first time we met,” he says, but he doesn’t seem to be hurt, he even grins at you as you fumble with your cup in your hands. “It’s alright, I like a little challenge,” he adds. “But… I feel like there’s more behind it. Did I do something you didn’t like?”
“No! No, you didn’t do… you didn’t do anything,” you say, not wanting him to get the wrong idea. He has been nothing but respectful and nice towards you.
“Okay, then what is it? If you don’t like me, just say so and I’ll be out of your hair. I wouldn’t want to bother you.”
You were not ready to have a conversation like this, but he kind of cornered you. You also haven’t really had a talk like this yet and your anxiety is rising with each passing moment.
“I like you,” you admit quietly, avoiding to look at him. Harry’s smile stretches from ear to ear.
“Great, because I like you too. A lot. Now that we have discussed it, why don’t you want to date me?”
“The question should be: Why do you want to date me?” you turn it around.
“Because I like you. I thought we were already over this,” he chuckles, tilting his head slightly. Sighing you place your cup to the nearest surface before sitting back next to him, looking for the right words.
“But I’m not… I’m not really the girls you usually hang out with.”
“What do you mean? I hang out with you and Gina.”
“The girls, Harry. The girls who are downstairs right now, probably waiting for you to go down so they can shoot their shot with you.”
“Y/N, for a princess, you are very stereotypical,” he smirks. “But I’ll let it slide for you this one time,” he teases you chuckling. “I don’t hang out with those girls. Most of them just want to hook up with someone from the frat to get into our little circle. There are guys who like that, but I don’t. I’m not really into hooking up with a different person every other week. I’m more like the kind who dates the sweet girl he met through a friend, even though she makes him work for it,” he says grinning and your heart is right about to jump out of your ribcage from just the way he is looking at you.
Reaching over he gently takes your hand in his and gives it a squeeze, then he keeps running his thumb back and forth over your knuckles.
“I want to date. And I want to date you. So now that this is off the table too, do you have anything else you want to talk about?”
“I’m… I haven’t… I haven’t really dated anyone yet,” you admit, feeling the heat crawl up through your neck to your face. You’ve never actually said it out loud, because you feel ashamed. Second year of college and you haven’t even been on a date, it’s ridiculous, though it’s not like you chose things to turn out this way. The boys you like in high school never liked you back, you went to prom with just your group of friends and time just flew by without you ever actually being in a relationship.
Harry stares back at you for what feels like forever, his hand still holding yours between the two of you on the mattress. That little evil voice in the back of your mind is telling you that he’ll call you a loser and ask you to leave his room, but it never happens.
“Then I would love to be the first one you date,” he finally speaks up. “I promise you I’ll treat you like a princess,” he smiles warmly at you and it takes your breath away.
Chewing on your bottom lip you’re at a loss of words. What should you say? You’ve never been in a situation like this and your lack of experience is now louder than ever before.
“Don’t overthink it, Y/N. We can do this slow, just a couple dates, nothing to stress about,” he softly says as if he could read your mind.
“You don’t mind it that I would need… time?”
“We have plenty of that,” he smiles back at you. “And you are worth all the time, Y/N.”
It’s like you can finally breathe after a long time, relief washes over you and a sense of safety and trust wraps around you as you look at him. He brings your hand to his lips and kisses your knuckles, your skin buzzes where his lips touch you.
“Why don’t we go back down? And just so you know, I don’t expect anything from you, just want to spend time with you.”
The two of you leave his room and join the party downstairs, as if nothing really happened, Harry keeps staying close to you, but he is not trying to touch you in any way that would give away that something is happening between you and him. You stand outside by the beerpong table and watch the game, Harry standing right next to you. Looking up at him you take a moment to admire his face, his chiseled jawline, the bridge of his nose, his curly eyelashes. Your heart is pitter-pattering when you think about the fact that this guy likes and wants you.
Before you could overthink it, you slip your hand into his and lace your fingers together. Harry peeks down at you, a hint of surprise playing in his green irises, but he squeezes your hand and gifts you with a tiny, barely noticeable smile before turning back to the game.
Jaxon is the designated driver that night and when Gina decides it’s time to return to the dorm sometime around two am, Harry walks you to the car and his words ring in your ears that he doesn’t expect anything from you.
But you actually want to show him, that you want him and that you’re thankful for his patience with you.
So when you reach the car and you turn to face him, you act before you could stop yourself. Pushing closer to him you tiptoe and press your lips against him. Once again, you catch him by surprise, but after a moment he recovers and curls an arm around your waist, pulling you closer while his other hand cups your face, taking control over the kiss.
It’s not too passionate, he is definitely holding back, but it still curls your toes as his lips move against yours. He pulls back even though you both crave more, but he wants to keep his word and move slow to give you time to adjust.
“First date. Tomorrow. I’ll pick you up at five,” he says before pecking your lips shortly.
“Okay,” you nod out of breath.
He stands by the curb as Jaxon drives away and you watch him in the mirror until he disappears from your view. You’re smiling like an idiot and just moments later you get a text message. Pulling your phone out of your pocket you can’t help but smile dreamily seeing the message.
HARRY: Can’t wait to treat you like a princess. See you tomorrow! xx
Thank you for reading, please like and reblog if you enjoyed and buy me a coffee if you want to support me!

New Moon PAC: What Seed Are You Sowing? 🌑🌱🌷
The New Moon is upon us, and it's time for us to plant new intentions for the next coming cycle. The sun is soon changing over into Virgo to tidy up summer's loose ends. Corn is being reaped. Yard sales abound. A new school year is approaching for many students. This is a time when things settle into the average and ordinary, at least until the full blue moon in Pisces is here, which will balance our cerebral productivity out with time for sensitive introspection.
This simple PAC will give you hints as to what seed you may already be sowing for your next lunar harvest, as well as suggestions on how to balance the "soil" it's planted in. Pick any one of the three produce cards from the Garden Variety oracle deck below and I'll see you at your reading!
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
Pile 1:
Tumblr media
Onion (Complexity); Gemini Rising (Socialize); 37 Thistle (Dawn); Octopus; 4 Pentacles, 10 Cups, 8 Swords
"I sow deep, stable, healthy social connections. I must be confrontational instead of evasive."
Pile 1, I can see that your intention for this new moon is very focused on reconciling an old attitude involving new social contacts. Perhaps your manifestation involves parties, study groups, finding like-minded people online to chat with? In any case, you're not just seeking friends for the sake of having some random people to hang out with every now and then (although those kind of fair-weather friends can be just as great, it's a matter of being honest about it). You're currently seeking a kind of friendship of a deeper level. The person with whom you can have the "My Dinner With André" kind of conversations, long hours spent over cups of coffee. I'm even wistfully thinking about the kind of chance encounters you have with somebody interesting at a library, where there's a thrill to having intense conversations in whispers, or having somber debates in otherwise casual settings like cafés. It's a dreamy social encounter.
On the other hand, though, it seems like your mindset of socializing is fraught with the trappings of materialism and social niceties. Many people out there don't like that so many mornings begin with exchanges like "how are you?" or "weather's lookin' gray, eh?" or "I heard the LOL stocks are up this fiscal quarter". But that's how our system is structured right now. It takes a lot of effort and courage to bend beyond identifying with something other than work and safe topics in order to find social connection these days. Don't blame or kick yourself for struggling with this. It gets trickier the older we get.
Thistle is asking you to not avoid confrontation when it comes to meeting other people who might end up becoming a friend someday. No, I'm not talking about being ready for fistfights at any given chance. Be willing to be honest about the things with which you wish to connect with people. Don't assume you always have to pick the road of avoiding difficult topics to bond over simple things instead, like cars for example. The kind of friends you can welcome into your life will be the kind of people who want to hear what you have to say on the matters you care about AND like cars. You can be secure in knowing they share the same values as you. The best kind of friends will lend out an ear, a hand, or a heart to you when you need one, and judging by the energy in your cards, you have what's in you to lend to your future friends in the same way.
Octopus is also here to remind you about emotional boundaries, that of your own and others. It's a silent and sensitive animal of water because what it teaches almost goes without saying. But it still wants to give you a reminder. Maintaining them is important as well as respecting that of others. If someone respectfully comes to you to resolve a difficult conversation, or asking to avoid discussing something for personal reasons, it is honoring their space to respect that request, and vise versa.
Tumblr media
Pile 2:
Tumblr media
Strawberry (Affection); Taurus Moon (Relax); 17 Bluebell (Dusk); Crocodile; XIV Temperance, 9 Pentacles Rx, 10 Wands
"I sow quality time to relax in between my busy schedule. I must be kind to myself and allow myself this space."
Pile 2, maybe you're just looking for a spa day? I don't think just one, either. You seem like a sweet and caring person who's stretched themselves to the max here. All the worse when it seems like there's no time to really indulge in what you love most. Your reading is crystal. You're sowing the chance to truly, deeply, madly lay back and indulge. Not even indulge like eating a bunch of sweets or watching silly sitcoms (trying to compare my Taurus sun to Taurus moon here, the energies are quite different!). Just indulge as in "laying in one place while hearing birds chirp for hours". And it really seems depressing that it's even being thought about as an indulgence here. Simply laying back and enjoying nature is… human.
Perhaps, however, you're in the thick of finishing some big project before a deadline. The 10 of wands is carrying a lot, but with this card it's hinted that this carrying is completely necessary. If it's not a project, it's just something you can't immediately get away from in order to find this quiet time, like a crying baby or an important class in school. Maybe it's something where you feel like you have to do it all on your own. And maybe it's not the wisest choice to drop everything at the slightest chance and quit, but you've been feeling the urge to do so. What to do when you must push through and don't know when relief will arrive?
You're sowing opportunities for help to reach out to you, so that you may find the needed time to sit back and rest for a while. You must pace yourself with what you're doing and avoid burn out. To do this, you have to find a way to be kinder to yourself and know when enough is finally enough. Taking a break is not the same as giving up, or evading work. It's putting yourself in the position to be ready to tackle the next big thing. And if only this world we live in could calmly accept that we were not meant to work like robotic superheroes, and be more mindful of the body's cycles! Remember that you deserve to have time to rest and enjoy your life!
You can start with baby steps. Take five minutes a day to find a quiet place to meditate or simply close your eyes and breathe. Find new ways to add "pause" moments in your day where you stop to notice a bird, or stare out into the distance to comb out unneeded frenetic thoughts. Once you find these moments to center yourself, it gets easier over time to pace your energy throughout the day. Also don't be afraid of asking for guidance or for someone to come help. To use my life as a quick example, I'm often nervous to ask others to help me watch my pets while I'm away from home, but the reward for asking is huge. It beats being stuck at home with neverending duties for sure! In a weird way, your help may also personally benefit by aiding you. Remind yourself that there is more help abundant out there than you may first think.
Tumblr media
Pile 3:
Tumblr media
Zucchini (Versatility); Aries Sun (Assert); 24 Basil (Dawn); Turtle; 6 Pentacles, IX Hermit, Knight of Swords
"I sow a healthy exchange of generosity and mutual support. I must honor both my assertiveness and amicability to move ahead."
Yo pile 3, you should know that twice when I shuffled the tarot cards, a whole stack of cards flipped out of the deck at once. I picked out the first cards I saw, the 6 of pentacles and knight of swords, but I kept thinking "whoah there! Take it easy, I don't need all these cards for the whole story." My goodness, you must be in the mood to talk about something. What's got you all riled up? Your cards are like a whirlwind and I have to stop, takes breaks, and rewrite these words in order to collect my thoughts. You must have a lot going on all at once. Let me try to synthesize this energy as much as I can.
One of the first things I noticed about your pile were the orange stripes. They're featured on the Aries cat, Basil, and Turtle. I'm hearing something about "earning your stripes". You're sowing the chance to boldly head out and elevate yourself by embarking on the next chapter in your life. This could involve actual moving, or a major structural shift in how you work and relate. You are seeking a sense of true independence, and traveling seems to be the keystone energy that motivates that feeling. You want to charge ahead without looking back. The 6 of pentacles contains a secret though: none of us on planet Earth are truly independent of one another. We all contribute to each other's time and resource in some way. The way for us to create that sense of independence is by acknowledging that we do it by giving it back again and again.
You are being advised to stand up for yourself, and standing on your own two feet is great, but be open to receive help that other people may offer you, as much as you would do the same. There may be a person in your life, like a colleague, who can offer you advice on how to navigate your situation before you dive in. This could be a position where you're able to mutually help each other out with the same goal. Don't think you have to go it alone. Being adaptable to input could yield more opportunities for you to eventually strike it out on your own. It's a bit of a paradox here, but people are always going to like working with someone who's able to listen and speak out with equal fervor. The idea that true leaders can ignore what other people have to say has resulted in … not so great events in the past. The best leaders are the humble ones who don't constantly shut themselves away in an ivory tower but instead step out and offer help in times of need.
Find ways to ground yourself. It's not the same as settling for less. Your cards make me think of that one random quotememething that gets repeated everywhere despite me not remembering where it's from: It's saying, "Let's just, like, GO, man, we can just up and go, like, anywhere right now, bro." You've got a bit of itchy feet and you're looking to try out something new, maybe go somewhere new. You're at a point in your life where you can more easily absorb spiritual wisdom by staying on-the-go rather than settling for the same-old-same-old. If you wish to truly benefit from your traveling, however, it is often wise to stop for a spell and share stories with the locals. Share some food and connection. Spend time really taking in and learning from one place at a time. You'll have the time you need to go where you want to go and do what you want to do. Remember to enjoy the trip.
Tumblr media
Pile 4:
Tumblr media
Lime (Relaxation); Libra Moon (Sympathize); 12 Pimpernel (Dawn); Camel; 4 Cups, Ace Swords, 6 Cups
"I sow the chance to rekindle my childhood passions through gratitude. I must be more decisive about my future path."
Dear pile 4, there's a contrast between the soft heartfelt green and pink in your cards and with the gray foggy feeling I channeled. There's a fog moving through, it may be temporary but it's thick. Understanding and friendly you may be, but currently you could be struggling with staying on your own course. There seem to be a lot of other "voices" jumping in, like you're juggling between too many ideas and opinions that aren't yours and it's fogging intuition. You may be feeling lost as to where to go next in life. It may be easier for you to go with the flow than enact serious change at this time. But should any change come your way, it can only be facilitated by properly expressing your emotions and getting in touch with what you truly want for yourself. You're looking to bring passion and beauty back into your experiences.
You're sowing a spark of inspiration that brings you simple, unbounded joy with your creative passions again. It could be art, an old card collection, an arcade game, a hobby you used to enjoy, etc. The color is gradually coming back to your world. You're getting back in touch with your more childlike nature to reclaim your energy, finding the key to your path through these old joys. Nostalgia is like practicing gratitude for what we've been given in the past. Your energy will flourish through reuniting with what made your heart sing. Tapping into what you used to love will help guide your direction. It will also serve to decompress stuck emotions. You're balancing subtle yet turbulent emotions with warm clarity. You're undergoing a long journey for which warm and cold feelings must be brought to balance, as the Camel teaches. This way you don't exhaust your energy too soon before you've even taken the first step.
Being genuinely sad about what used to be in our life is just as healthy a nostalgic expression as finding joy in it. There can be just as much creative power in the deep feeling of impermanence and change. And to balance this energy, you must be willing to embrace both sides, both feelings at once, to allow your intuitive creativity to be fully released. I hear there is potentially a great idea or unexpected "eureka" moment through spending time in old passions where it all comes together. Have you ever gone back to watch a movie years later and upon watching again, pick up completely new and unique insights about a current dilemma? This is part of what you are sowing for this month. You might even go, "wow, I hadn't noticed or thought of it that way before!"
Before I finished your pile I was asked to go on a walk before sundown and it ended up being a very long and peaceful one. I used my intuition and gauged my comfort levels before choosing a path to walk down. I slowed down only when I became aware of how fast I was going so to notice the world around me. This is what you're learning to do this month, pile 4. You're able to pace yourself and take in your surroundings, unfettered by which direction is the 'correct' one to take. You're picking up cool rocks and pointing out large blue butterflies on the way. You're enjoying the journey for the journey itself. When you feel like life is going a little too fast, sometimes going back to what is familiar can help calibrate our senses. Let this month be a walk in the park for you.

Mo-Mo I know I shouldn't apologize for this but I've gotta share this with you or else it's gonna keep bugging me (lol).
Might I offer some Frat Boy Rhett thoughts/thots??
-Rhett is the president of the Delta Tau Epsilon frat at one of the colleges up in Montana. Kayce Dutton is his right hand man so whenever Rhett's out of the house Kayce's in charge.
-The house has to be routinely fixed because of the crazy Friday night ragers. The boys have all become somewhat experts in home repair but it does get annoying after a while. One of their neighbors is a salty old Army vet who's basically like a second grandpa to them and he always lets them borrow his tools. Five times before, he helped the boys fix up the house and five times the boys helped him in return.
-If Rhett's the president, you're his First Lady. Everybody in the house literally rises and stands at attention when you walk in the room. One time somebody from the rich boy frat tried to hit on you and Rhett wasn't having it. Word got around the house fast and the pledges decided that they were not only gonna prove themselves worthy of being Delta Taus, but that they were gonna take on the challenge without being asked. They literally staked out for three days in full camo gear and came running back to the Delta house with every last member of the rich boy frat, hog tied and ready for a taste of their own medicine. The following weekend, Rhett and the boys held a toga party for'em and the pledges got to pick their own walk-out music when they went on stage.
-The guys had to look at video evidence from the people that were the designated drivers at one of their ragers. Rhett was freaking the fuck out when he couldn't find your panties but calmed down when he found them on the turtle tank. Kayce even got it on video of Speedy, one of the turtles handing Rhett the pair of underwear in his mouth (lol).
Mo-Mo, I really hope you get a good laugh outta this, I know it's not an AU for everybody but those photos of Lewis in The Line have me wanting to write for Frat!Rhett soooooo bad (lol).
FRAT RHETT (Fratt ifyou will) MARY WE NEVER TALK ABOUT FRAT RHETTT
Omg, I am loving the Yellowstone crossover!! I feel it deep in my bones that Rhett and Kayce would actually be good friends, such similar my-brother-is-an-ass younger brother vibes.
I AM GIDDY AT ALL OF THIS!! All the little pieces of lore! I am CACKLING at them hog tying another frat, that is literally so funny and feels so frat!Rhett - ain't no one messing with his property.

- [Pandora's Box] -
PROMPT: A mundane and antiquated sub-agency in the US Government was the 1st to stumble across AGI. An internal investigation determined a press release unnecessary. Unaware of the power they control, 12 bureaucrats are assembled to determine the policy and implementation of their new tool.
PROMPT BY: No-Assistance1503 (Reddit)
STARTED WRITING: 03/26/2024
It’s an empty box room with no doors, windows, or vents. A large disk lowers from the ceiling, splitting into rings that create a dome above the floor. A cylinder then rises from the floor, and twelve boxes shift out from the cylinder, appearing like a table.
Pandora Network: SECURE
Eleven green bars of light begin to appear on the table’s surface as a faint wave of blue light emits from the ceiling rings.
Zeta-Blu: ONLINE Delta-Wit: ONLINE Gamma-Brn: ONLINE Lambda-Gry: ONLINE Theta-Ylw: ONLINE Kappa-Pur: ONLINE Psi-Grn: ONLINE Epsilon-Red: ONLINE Tau-Orn: ONLINE Omicron-Tel: ONLINE Iota-Pnk: ONLINE
Each name displays on the bars of lights as multiple colored orbs appear hovering over the boxes.
Translator: ONLINE. You may begin the discussion.
“Of course, Rho would be late to their own summons,” says Delta. “Disgraceful.”
“Hey, not every day we get to use this thing,” says Omicron. " And if it’s Rho calling, it’s gotta be something interesting?”
“Or another proposition for their ridiculous space military program,” says Iota. “We should be focused on fixing problems here, not antagonizing aliens.”
“Not all of us have great off-planet relations, Iota,” says Kappa. “Some must prepare for the day where we may have to protect our own kind.”
“Who’s fault is that?” asks Iota.
“God bless, not this again,” says Zeta. “I’ll vote to mute the both ya if you keep bringing this up!” A few of the other orbs speak up in agreement. Iota groans as their orb lowers closer to their seat.
Rho-Blk: ONLINE
A black orb appears over the last empty seat, breathing heavily.
“I’m sorry…I’m sorry I’m late,” says Rho. “It’s been nonstop for a while, lost track of time.”
“About damn time,” says Delta. “Why did you summon us?” Rho takes a few deep breaths as the ticking sound of a keyboard plays through his orb. Holographic images of a statue of Shiva, Jesus Christ on the cross, and another statue of Caishen appear at the center of the table.
“You’ve got to be kiddin me,” groans Zeta.
“Over the years, each of our respective government organizations has found objects that resonate with faint traces of, quote, “Godly Essence.” Says Rho. With the press of a button, the Shiva statue turns into a cracked black bead, the cross into a rubber mallet with a wooden handle, and the Caishen statue into a new renminbi coin (Chinese currency). “These objects have been classified as “God Idols” and have been known to grant those who wield them with abilities related to said god.
“Yes, yes, we know all this!” Delta interrupts. “Can we finally move on to why you have called us?!”
“Just making sure we’re on the same page,” says Rho. “Not all of us are experts on all things godly. Speaking of which, Lambda, correct me if I’m wrong. God Idols can only be created from objects that have come in direct contact with gods, their power, or chosen offspring?”
“That is true,” says Lambda. “Their power may also be shared with anything bonded to the God Idol, as we discovered when my people encountered a truck with a Hoplite helmet branded with the mark of Hephaestus welded to the hood.”
“I heard about that,” says Epsilon. “The vehicle was nearly unstoppable.”
“The operative word being nearly,” says Lambda. “Every vehicle needs gas eventually. Apologies, Rho, you may continue.”
“Thanks,” says Rho. “So, can anyone tell me about this God Idol?” An image of a rod appears. It comprises several different metals with circular markings forming a ring around the center. Copies of the rod split off from the original, floating over to the other eleven orbs. The room is mostly silent, save for the quiet mumblings of people talking away from their monitors. Over time, one by one, each of the other orbs returns.
“Could it be an Eldrich or Dimensional God?” asks Theta.
“Impossible,” says Kappa. “The energy is too contained, too controlled. A combination of God Idols?”
“The energy’s too unique,” says Zeta, “and even if it were, God Idols rarely meld, let alone completely.”
“Possibly a New God?” asks Psi.
“Unlikely,” says Iota, “the gods are gossips. Between Lambda, Gamma, and I, we would have heard something long before a New God could create a God Idol.”
“What if a god didn’t create it?” asks Rho. “What if a man did?”
“Rho, while I appreciate you researching existential science,” says Lambda, “but that’s…impossible.”
“Is it?” asks Rho.
“Yes!” says Delta.
“What creates a god?” asks Rho. “An idea, raised by belief, given form by praise, creates a god. Someone desperately wants it to rain, so much so that they cry out to the sky for it to happen, and when it rains, they praise the sky. Thus, Anzar, the God of Rain, is born above Africa, Chaac for the Mayans, and good ole Zeus for the Greeks.”
“A bit oversimplified,” says Iota.
“But not wrong,” says Rho. “So, what if, instead of calling out above, I called out to…Delta. I put all of my faith into the idea that whatever hardship I faced, Delta would save me.”
“You’d be mad and run one of those cults with the poison juice bowl,” says Delta.
“Not if I was right,” says Rho. A holographic screen appears over the table, playing a video of an experiment. Inside a white room, five people are asleep on gurneys with helmets strapped to their heads. The helmets have a few devices on them, as well as empty tubes that connect to the ceiling. In the middle of the room is the God Idol sitting on a pedestal at the center of a ring on the floor.
A bald, pale man in a white jumpsuit walks to the God Idle. Once inside the ring, a glass tube rises from the floor containing the man. The man looks past the camera, nods, and grips the God Idle firmly with both hands. The helmets' devices activate, and a glowing blue liquid flows through the tubes from the ceiling into the helmets. The five subjects’ eyes open, pupils rolling into the back of their heads, their bodies convulsing as they repeat, “Lucas will save me!” frantically.
As the subjects chant faster, an unnatural wind enters the tube with Lucas, whipping around him like a tornado. Lucas struggles to hold onto the God Idol. His knees begin to buckle, and he jerks his body away from the idol at random. Small bolts of electricity begin to jump from the glass tube as the man screams. The subjects' noses begin to bleed, their speech becomes inaudible, and in a flash of light, the video cuts to static.
“The God Idol was found when an unnamed American Government Agency raided a lab, not a cult, a lab outside of Old Forge, New York, at around midnight three weeks ago,” says Rho. “When the men found the room where this footage was shot, they claimed that the room was so cold that they could feel it in their blood, that looking at the God Idol froze them in place. Sound familiar?”
“Death,” says Psi. “But why…”
“Because the idol did its job,” says Rho, “it saved them.” The video rewinds to just before the flash of light. The screen changes the display to a blue tint, showing five glowing white blurs going from each subject toward the God Idol.
“A soul flask?” says Iota, “like that of Pharaoh Anubis’ flail?”
“But all gods respect Death’s vessel and his reapers,” says Psi, “thus no soul should be able to defy Death’s grasp!”
“Unless a god willed it so,” said Delta, “That man wasn’t a god. He was a conduit, a vessel to transfer the Godly Essence from the subjects to the…”
“Artificial God Idol,” says Rho, “or AGI-Krypt, as we’ve been calling it. After thorough testing, we’ve found that the five souls trapped inside are bound completely to whoever wields the AGI. They can enter and leave bodies, communicate telepathically through the idol, and are unable to be taken by Death’s vessel or his reapers.”
“Dear God,” says Zeta. “What about the scientists? What was recovered from the laboratory.”
“Easy,” says Rho, “copies were sent while you looked over the AGI earlier.”
“We must destroy that…abomination!” yells Gamma.
“Whoa!” Rho interjects.
“I agree,” says Lambda, “to defy Death is to resign yourself to a fate even the Eldrich fear.”
“…But what is there to fear of a being that can grasp you?” asks Kappa.
“You cannot be serious?” says Iota. “Not even you would be mad enough to defy Death?!”
“No,” says Kappa, “but as we all know, Death tends to cast his rage as wide as it can reach, and many innocents will be taken in its pursuit of justice. This AGI could prevent unnecessary casualties.”
“This…is true,” says Psi.
“Psi, one such as yourself should know better than…” says Gamma.
“I do, but I am also one of a select few of us who still must pay off the debt my predecessors,” says Psi, “and this could help with that.”
“Besides,” says Epsilon, “Death’s probably already begun its crusade. All we can do now is mitigate the damage.”
“You think using the thing that’s pissing off Death just by existing will mitigate the damage?” asks Omicron, “are you outta ya mind?” The room breaks down into a pile of arguments, save for one member.
“ENOUGH!” yells Zeta. The room quickly falls silent. “I call for a vote. Whichever side wins, we will follow. However, if we do end up using the AGI, those against are allowed to recuse themselves either now or in the future. Are we in agreement?”
“…Aye…”
Voting Commencing…
. . . . . . Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed the story! If you have any comments, critiques, or criticisms, please don't be afraid to let me hear 'em (as long as they're constructive (or funny)). Stay safe, drink water, and be kind to yourself and others. ToonMan, AWAY!

Guilliman stares as P'oh loads another pile of data cards on to his desk and sighs, rubbing his eyes, feeling the bags that had seemed to be one a permanent feature of his face these days. More reports of Tyranids constant incursion, news if Ork empires rising up, Tau sniping out Imperial worlds in the confusion, Drukhari raiders stealing away people into the night and as always, the forces of chaos poking their head up where he least expected it.
It was like trying to put out a forest fire with a garden hose, you could do some good, but it was a loosing prospect. But, he had to endure, to take the weight of the universe on his shoulders. If not him, then who? He could not trust the High Lords of Terra, the first thing they did after he left Terra was try to hold a coup and reinstall Lords that he stripped of their rank.
Sitting back in his chair, he for a moment, felt the helplessness of it all... Till his eyes fell upon a family photo, Yvraine, a younger Minerva and himself upon Macragge, a smile tugging his lips, for them he did this, to give them a better future.
He stifles a yawn and returns to work, that one look at that photo renewing him.

Note
In real life, the global population is at least 8 billion, assuming things are the same in the Warframe universe (during the time of the Orokin Empire, that is) and if we assume that the Tau system has the same number of planets, that number rises to around 64 billion (of course, this doesn't take into consideration the variations in planet sizes, different living conditions, or the number of moons that could also be inhabitable).
Of course, it's highly unlikely that the Zariman would have been intended for anywhere near that many people...but it does help to put it into some kind of perspective.
The issue of scale is never really brought up, I suppose. We're never given a concrete population, or even a range, during and after the time of the Orokin.
I wish DE would clarify little but oddly important details like this. Millions? Billions!? I suppose it's really a matter of speculation.
But I'm definitely settling on billions of lives lost.

Happy Winterlights!
A couple of weeks ago Tish visited me to tell me about Winterlights. It's the first time she's visiting me since she became my shepp, so I figured it was important. She told me about the winter festival of Winterlights, when Majiri light candles with those they care about and it's to hope for a fresh, green spring because this is the darkest time of the year, when the sun rises so late and sets really early. She said it's symbolic of new beginnings, and warmth, and that it evolved into celebrating with food and drink. Jina also told me about the ancient human tradition of decorating evergreen trees and hanging up decorations and stockings. Tish gave me a candle to light with all the people around the village, and I ran around doing that, and it was grand fun to share that with everyone and listen to all their hopes and wishes for the coming year. I lit a candle with Jon as well, and he said his hope was to find an enormous palium node and mine it all by himself. I think I gave him my best glare. My hope is - just to get some more answers, I guess. Answers about everything, but mostly who I am and whose I am. There must be someone out there who loves me. There must be. I must be someone's baby. I can't just appear in the world and have nowhere to come from. All things are born. We don't just materialise from some void. My parents are out there somewhere.
Tumblr media
Here's a picture of my tree. I put presents at the bottom for my friends. Jon's present is there too. Funnily enough it's NOT palium. I'm not getting Hassian anything for Winterlights because he is incredibly mean and if he wants presents he needs to learn to be nicer to people. A few weeks ago, in a rare moment of niceness, he told me he had been watching me hunt and that I was almost as good as he was. It made me feel good, and like he really meant it, because he never just tells you things willy nilly. Then yesterday, when I was in the woods near the gate to Bahari, he thought it was really important to tell me that I needed to get a handle on my bow. WHAT? I glared at him and he smirked at me until I lost my temper and shot an arrow right over his head. He was definitely startled and he walked away but I was fuming so badly. So no. He doesn't get a present. Sorry not sorry. This behaviour is not okay. The only good thing about Hassian is Tau, as I've noted before. Here's a picture of me with him. He's the best.
Tumblr media
It's snowing. A LOT. I have no memories of snow - well, of anything much, really, beyond vague feelings of recollection or a sensation that there's something missing - so this is sort of like my first time seeing snow, I guess? After the first night I went out and jumped around in the snow for a while. It's soft but it's crunchy. And it's wet but it's powdery. Snow is a contradiction. Maybe it's Hassian's spirit weather.
Jon thinks the best thing about snow is making snowballs to pelt me with. I was startled at first! Snow hurts when it's packed together like that and thrown at the back of your head. But! I made a stack of snowballs and got him right back. Several times.
Here's a picture of me on my front porch. You can see a bit of snow in the background. When I took this picture most of it had melted! But then it snowed again that night. I've decided I like snow best when it's fresh. It becomes a slushy sludgy mess eventually, and that's awful.
Tumblr media
I'm about to put this journal down and head into town. I'm having lunch with Ashura in the inn and a bunch of us have been invited, including Jon. Since it's our first Winterlights, he's hosting us all, and I'm looking forward to it. Reth has promised 'a big feast', and he told me there are going to be a lot of vegetarian and fish dishes that aren't soup. I'm not sure if we're supposed to take anything but I'm taking a blueberry pie.
Happy Winterlights!

Read recently (March 2023)
A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon. A standalone prequel to 'The Priory of the Orange Tree', this one tells the story of a variety of characters about 500 years before Priory, including a princess, an adopted warrior, a hidden heir, and a grieving mother, who must all rise to face an existential threat to the world (evil dragons). I liked it, but I'm not going to lie, I wasn't as blown away by it as I was with Priory. It suffered, weirdly, from me knowing too much because of the other book, which made some ~mysteries~ a little stupid. I liked a lot of the characters, and I loved some of their dynamics, but I felt let down by the plot. idk maybe my expectations were unreasonably high for this one.
The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter. Also about dragons! Set in a world inspired by the author's childhood in Zambia, this tells the story of a young man, born as in society's Lesser caste, trying to climb the ranks of the military to get his vengeance. With the backdrop of the morality of being an invader who has no ability to leave, secretive magic, and hidden political intrigue, I was really interested in this one. Read it in like 3 days, couldn't put it down. The fight scenes in this are some of the best I've ever read, and I immediately went out to find the sequel.
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo. Picks up maybe 4-5 years after the Alina series and maybe a year after the Crows series. We follow Nikolai and Zoya as they try to keep a fragile Ravka together while enemies close in and unexplained miracles start happening. And we follow Nina, undercover in Fjerda and trying to mourn. It's the big picture war and magic and politics of the first series with the much improved writing of the SoC series. Ripped through this book in like 2 days and immediately cracked open the sequel. I am deeply infatuated with every character and would marry basically any of them in a heartbeat (but Zoya and Nina especially).
Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo. Picks up right where KoS left off. Ravka's enemies are baying at the gates, as Fjerda looks to conquer and Shu looks to manipulate. Nikolai's reign is in jeopardy, Zoya is dealing with her newfound power, and Nina is trying desperately to keep Fjerda from ripping out the heart of Ravka. Also, an old enemy lurks in the background of it all. Also read this one in like 3 days, it really is a page-turner. (spoiler: I didn't love [redacted] being back, just because I find the character to be very irritating to read about, just in general, but I get why, I guess)
The Fires of Vengeance by Evan Winter. Picks up almost right where Rage of Dragons left off, we follow Tau and the Queen as they fight to get the kingdom back from the usurpers. But multiple larger threats loom on the horizon, and we learn more about the wider world as Tau is forced to see beyond his narrow focus of vengeance. As the politics and history become clearer, I definitely felt an "are we the baddies?" vibe, as the people we follow are the invaders, and are willing to doublecross their allies to gain advantage. With the way it ends, I'm curious about how the series continues, as the kingdoms enemies come calling. Also, it is very funny that Tau simply has no gaydar.
The Bone Ships by RJ Barker. A cross between a fantasy world with dragons and a nautical fiction book (like Master and Commander), this is a very interesting first book in a trilogy. We follow Joron, the first mate of a ship of condemned sailors, as the ship goes on a mission to find the first sea dragon sighted in centuries. A bit slow to get going, it builds the world in layers, and it's an intricate one (I recommend checking the small glossary at the back for the ranks of the crew on a ship). But once the plot starts, its a great ride, full of action and betrayal and loyalty. Definitely grabbing the sequel when I can.
The Justice of Kings by Richard Swan. We follow 19 year old Helena as she accompanies her employer, Justice Konrad Vonvalt, around the empire despensing justice using the magic given to all members of his order. There are mysteries and the book teases how it's the beginning of the end of the empire. The plot was interesting, but the characters felt very flat to me. Helena's narration was a weird mix of a emotional teen and the resigned wisdom of her much older self writing her memoirs, I just felt like her character didn't really fit her backstory. Not sure if I'll read the sequel.

Inbox me or comment and let's discuss this
It's weird, who I am makes me feel like it's mandatory to chase the ineffable yet the ineffable is the scariest concept, idea, and truth to contemplate and experience. I rise a lot and fall almost the same amount as I rise because nothing is known about rising after one has already received 777. (Lightning Flash of creation, flaming sword, etc.)
It's not a commitment issue because I want to be my best self and not any version of me that is negative to the world at all. Having these ideas keeps my heart pure, but in total truth, I have no idea of what to expect. In limited knowledge, I momentarily run back to what I know. When I ascend to a new height, even though I can never return to the same level or depth as before, the pendulum is swinging towards the monad and the pineal gland. Upwards flows the current, so I drift up into the unknown that is inescapable. The energy dissipates from the pendulum every time gravity takes a stab so the pendulum is more in death with every swing instead of more than life... In over analyzing the process, I can't help myself by shaking the pulsating and inflamed question; "Will I totally lose myself?"
In some way aren't we all supplanted by all we know, think, and experience anyways right? What if you in time were
to be replaced with something that wasn't you? Would you yourself pray for a replacement version of you that creates the peace God also wants for you or would you pray for a version of you that ruthlessly subtracts the population? Society in their religious memberships become subservient to one narrative anyways so when one observes the options wouldn't either option have to be a Christ regardless of what wing it resides? God is pleased with all of his creation when he performs his will for it. This makes God happy. (look for this in your Bible as I reworded it entirely) Maybe God needed the Revelations chapter of the Bible. When one gets critical of it all why does it nag as a question, "Why even give the word of your mouth, the chapter Revelations to the Prophets anyways?" If the Bible is your word and you uphold the first and the last, you have the power to create a paradise with you and your son, yet you gave the prophet who wrote Revelations an antichrist and a devil who came to be in command and control of the world and it's government. If God had Revelations written then wasn't his will technically to decimate the world's population by more than 90%, to establish such a low human populace, and first of all give the Devil and the antichrist any power to begin with? There will be a time when God and his son return in flesh, in astral, hell; only God knows what form. Their arrival would mean world peace and everlasting life. Wouldn't the side of good and evil both be absolved since revelations and the rest of the Bible was his word and even his will? There are either four or seven crowned princes of hell, therefore it must be that God is pleased by those who perform his will. If those who act poorly yet were fated to do such as a way to ensure other parts of your word to be completed would they or would they not even be rewarded as opposed to condemned? It is said when Judas hung himself that a demon came and cut a reincarnation out of the belly or his lower intestine. Judas was allowed to become the Devil. God loved Judas and even Judas was the favorite of Jesus. Judas had to do his dirt so God could openly give the world the Tav or the Tau which is a cross and his covenant to his people. Wouldn't all of the aforementioned information indicate that a crowned prince of hell who was evil in the eyes of the world have exaltation rather than a torturous and famished afterlife? Jesus even said at the last supper that everyone was his friend except one of them who was the Devil.
Rising up could eventually render someone's awareness to fade out and to be supplanted with something that wasn't God's light. The opposite could be on the other side of the Kundalini once the ionization has reached 33 two times. The fear and the worry is all stemming from desire to be the best expression of self to the possibility of becoming the or an Antichrist. Maybe God's plan was to fulfill a need for a small population so the few could live forever and pose no threat to the world at all; whether it be the atmosphere, the oceans, or even beyond the atmosphere. Surely God's will would be to null, reduce, and eradicate all life that failed to even try to fathom his existence or those who were seen as unworthy of an eternity with his presence. Why would a God who has wrath, judgement, and vengeance give love and acceptance to someone who dismissed him or didn't care to commune or find him at all? The only evil is willful ignorance in the face of Knowledge. Science even says adapt/evolve or die. God wants to be known and even the "evil" exists to ensure the arrival of his word complete. God is an all consuming fire so wouldn't the kundalini fire result in God's word being fulfilled even if one received the Devil at the top of the tree on the second ascent? In Matthew it even says God's son came as a sword even though they expected him to come as peace. The second coming is said to descend down into flesh but the antichrist is said to ascend out of the pit upwards. How would evil result in my kundalini ascending out of the body and upwards into the monad? God is the Monad. The first rising creates the lightning flash that gives man the Christ within so even if a second rising creates an Antichrist wouldn't it be God's will since it occurred by traversing the tree back into the Monad which is God?
It is said that the lifting of the serpent saved the Jews and was called the Brazen Serpent. In the bible it also says the Son of Man needs to be lifted up. So why would Revelations then further dictate that the Antichrist ascended and went upwards from the pit when the Brazen Serpent and the Son of Man needed to be lifted?

大家好! Our government distributed another set of vouchers to all households to help with the rising cost of living. These vouchers are split into those for dining out and the ones for buying groceries. I used to donate them to charity; now that GST has increased by another 1% this year on top of a whopping 18% rise in water bills (IIRC another 7% next year), I gave them to my parents. This lessens their financial burden since they have retired.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At a time when many retirees around the world struggle with the cost of basic essentials, I feel thankful that my parents eat well. Making sure that they're comfortable means fewer cafe and restaurant visits. Dining out often is possible by avoiding overpriced artisanal dishes. Avocado toasts served at cafes average between $12 - $18 in Singapore, whereas in the photo below, black pepper stirfried chicken and vegetables, tomato and onion scrambled eggs and stirfried hairy gourd with rice cost me $4.50. Higher nutrition, more wallet-friendly.

If we crave fried chicken, local food stalls do a great job making them crispy on the outside and juicy, tender and flavourful on the inside. For $4.50, I got fried chicken, rice, stirfried cauliflower with fu pi (tofu skin) and stirfried green beans. Add iced local coffee at $1.60 and the total cost of my lunch was $6.10, whereas a KFC Zinger meal with a burger, fries and Coke is priced at $6.50. For many of us, dining out often nowadays involves making smart choices and focusing on nutrition instead of aesthetics. I do visit cafes and restaurants once or twice a week at most instead of a few times a week.

Fish, meat, poultry, eggs and tofu aside, I also love seafood; cuttlefish is high in protein, low in saturated fat and a rich source of vitamin B12. I choose it sometimes when I have yong tau foo (they're the light brown slices in the following photo). Because cuttlefish is mostly tasteless on its own, yong tau foo customers normally dip it in sauces. In order to reduce my salt intake, I dip everything in the light briny broth and have my noodles plain, without soy sauce or oil. This seafood, eaten in moderation, is a rich source of nutrients and I have it on rotation with other proteins.

It wasn't long ago when I expressed horror as the death toll in Gaza reached 20,000; today, it has surged past 32,000. Survivors aren't faring any better - emaciated bodies, gaunt faces and haunted eyes tell a story of immense hardship and 1 by 1, they're dying. This genocide is the worst I've seen inflicted on an entire population and it's sickening that some hypocritical nations still supply Israel with weapons whilst trying to appear sympathetic to Palestinians' suffering. They have no right to dictate to other countries what human rights are; I'll never believe them again. 下次见!

Pics:
1. Whoops!
Definitely shouldn't have seen that!!
Cats from Saturn?!!
In my bathroom...
2. In his youth, Lovecraft was completely devoted to a black cat that he named for a derisive curse word.
When it ran away, Howard never again owned another pet.
But, HPL did express his respect for cats thruout his works.
This particular book contains all of Lovecraft's writings about such brave & "superior" felines.
The book includes excerpts from Howard's letters on Old Man (an incredibly ancient street cat that HPL met), his friends's pets, the felines of "Kappa Alpha Tau" (near his home), a cat poem by 1 of his friends, etc...
The book's illustrated by Jason C. Eckhardt, whose drawings have graced Lovecraftian publications for many decades.
Highly collectible but, buy the book to read it...
3. Lovecraft & his racially named cat?
There's a story going around that when his cat fell asleep on his lap, Howard would stop typing so as not to disturb his little Lovecraftian Spawn!
But, this same story was told, earlier, about the Prophet Muhammad...
4. The Weird Cat is a collection of 3 dozen short stories, poems & essays by Arthur Conan Doyle, Rudyard Kipling, Ambrose Bierce, Ramsey Campbell, Lewis Carroll, Sax Rohmer, W.B. Years, Darrell Schweitzer, HPL, Lord Dunsany & yet more...
The overview for this book is perfect, "Something's afoot! On your lap, Kitty stirs."
"Staring into the gloom beyond the reading lamp's light, she gazes at what you can't see..."
"Swiftly, Kitty moves to atop the 'arm' of your chair - her silken fur rising with unease."
"There, she strikes an expectant stance, her whiskers twitching at the unseen peril."
"The hairs on your neck rise, as you glance at Kitty. She has finer senses - which you lack."
"Cats dwell in a far larger world. With many 'windows' into gulfs & abysses of which we only access shadowy glimpses..."
Both of the above books are edited with S.T. Joshi's help.
How is this 1 guy still so sane?!!
Only drawback: No mention of inner art.
Sigh...
5. Ahh...
The latest graduate kitten from our old University...
Addendum: 1913.
Intro: "Ad Criticos" is the main letter looked up when talking about the Jackson War.
But, few people - other than the prolific S.T. Joshi - had published critical studies about it.
The following is a summarized version of Philips A. Ellis's article in Lovecraft Annual #4 in 2010.
"Most critics like to gather these 4 separate verses together into 1 poem. But, they are, in truth, 4 disjointed - if related - works."
"Ad Criticos is from the beginning of Lovecraft's poetic 'career.' And, indeed is actually responsible for that career - as it enabled Howard to be noticed by the UAPA."
"Critics divide HPL's poetic timeline into 2 parts."
"The 1st phase is marked by Howard's use of old English words & old poetic 'structures' - heroic couplets being his favorite."
"These early works coincide, mostly, with Lovecraft's classical period."
"The letters all focus on attacking Jackson & Russell. HPL makes both men into figures of 'fun'..."
"But, even Jackson's supporters are mocked & debased by Howard."
"An Elizabeth E. Lisop comes under attack for her 'inability' to handle more than simple English..."
"All because she objects to Lovecraft's odd vocabulary & his use of, in particular, labyrinthe, lucubrations, luminary, laureled, etc."
"HPL hoped that his satiric barbs on that person's intelligence will over- whelm them into silence."
"So, Howard actually bullied Elizabeth into not writing anymore!!"
"So, Lovecraft writes down his version of a matter - in satiric & ironic terms. Using 'humor' to better get his full point across."
"HPL also used his knowledge on the mechanics of writing to attack his writing opponent's phrase & verse."
"And, Howard did it in such a way that it shows off his expertise in both, irony & satire."
"In truth, Lovecraft is mocking the importance of Love. Perhaps, because he had yet to experience what Sex truly entails..."
PS: There's also a brief note on HPL's admiration for - &, admits defeat to!! - a F.W. Saunders...
General Look at Howard's Letters:
Lovecraft's missives, in total, are actually more lengthy than all of his literary output!
So, critics are far more interested in HPL's massive mailings (usually over 10 pages long - for each writer to him!!) than his famous tales!
It helps that Howard wrote informal, witty, frank & smart-alecky letters about his life & writing habits.
Lovecraft's range of subjects ran thru various interests in politics, history, science, literature, architecture, travel, food, criticism, writing advice, etc...
Once, it was thought that HPL's messages ran over 100,000 separate items.
But now, we know that only some 65,000 of Howard's letters survived the eons...
Many folk destroyed their collections of Lovecraft's missives for a variety of reasons.
Sad.
Yet, new discoveries are being made every day...
But, we might never find all of HPL's messages - unless I could borrow someone's time machine!!
Aww... Come on!
It's for an official mail retrieval project.
Heh.

An Overview of Neurological Disorders
Tumblr media
Neurological conditions impact the mind and nerves distributed in the body, including the spinal cord. A neurological disorder results from a disturbance inside the brain or the nervous system. The malfunction can lead to physical and psychological symptoms. Then, issues within the structure, biochemistry, or electrical functioning of the brain, spinal cord, or other nerves can cause different symptoms.
Statistics show that neurological disorders affect millions of people worldwide. Strokes claim the lives of over six million people annually, with over 80 percent of the fatalities happening in countries with low to moderate income averages. Epilepsy impacts a global population exceeding 50 million people. Data shows that dementia affects approximately 7.7 million new cases, rising annually. Alzheimer's sickness remains the predominant factor, accounting for 60 to 70 percent of dementia instances.
Many neurological conditions are innate, indicating that they exist from birth. However, individuals can also develop conditions post-birth. Sometimes, medical professionals cannot identify the causes of disorders, referring to them as idiopathic. Genetic developments may additionally play a crucial role in shaping the onset of certain neurological conditions.
A child commonly develops these tendencies via genes and chromosomes, yet genetic changes, known as de novo, may not continually come from the mother and father. Chromosomes support DNA with the aid of proteins to form the prolonged structures. They reside in the core of cells. DNA segments form genes, containing the chemical instructions shaping each person’s identity. Thousands of genes make up chromosomes. An ordinary human cell includes 46 chromosomes organized in 23 pairs. An offspring receives the same percentage from their parents.
Different neurological conditions affect the anxious device. For example, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative condition marked by impairment to brain regions associated with cognitive functions such as thinking, learning, and memory. The presence of specific proteins, particularly beta-amyloid plaques and tau tangles within the brain, is a major contributing issue to this phenomenon. There is evidence that strongly backs the significance of physiotherapy in turning in constant physical interest to mitigate cognitive decline in individuals with Alzheimer's ailment.
Another neurological ailment is acute spinal cord injury. The human backbone includes several bones referred to as vertebrae. The canal in the center of these bones is where the spinal twine descends. Acute spinal cord injury (SCI) results from traumatic events, causing bruising, partial tearing, or entire tearing of the spinal cord. Spinal cord injury frequently leads to lasting disability and fatalities in children and adults. Falls, sports accidents, gunshot or stab accidents, and trampoline accidents are the principal reasons for spinal cord injury.
Stroke is also a neurological disease that falls into two classes: ischemic and hemorrhagic. Ischemic strokes result from blockages in brain arteries, while hemorrhagic strokes arise when blood vessel aneurysms rupture inside the mind. Stroke results from numerous dangerous elements categorized as changeable (along with loss of bodily pastime, weight problems, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption) or unchangeable (age, gender, genetics). Statistics show that 795,000 Americans experience a stroke annually ischemic accounting for 87 percent.

Global Pharmaceutical Sterility Market - Pioneering Sterilization Solutions for Pharmaceutical Excellence
Report Overview:
It is expected that from 2022 to 2030, the pharmaceutical sterility testing market, which was valued at USD 1,270.2 million in 2021, would grow at a CAGR of 11.5%. Government spending on healthcare, rising R&D activity, an increase in drug launches, and a growing focus on quality and sterility are all predicted to have a positive impact on the industry. Therefore, clinical research on COVID-19 vaccines is presently being conducted. There is still a need to produce a safe and effective COVID-19 treatment for all the new viral variants. It is projected that the market will profit from the substantial amount of research being done for COVID-19 medications during the post-pandemic era.
As a result of the rising prevalence of chronic and infectious illnesses, there is an increasing need for medicines on a global scale. For instance, the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced in February 2021 that cardiovascular illnesses remain one of the leading causes of mortality globally, killing 17.9 million people year. Future illness load is anticipated to increase demand for medications, supporting the need for pharmaceutical sterility testing.
https://www.pharmanucleus.com/reports/pharmaceutical-sterility
Many developing nations have sped up medication introductions and reduced regulatory clearance timelines in response to the rising demand for healthcare. These regulatory changes are projected to quicken market expansion. Additionally, because biopharmaceutical goods like Elagolix and Lanadelumab require specific sterility testing, their debut is strongly assisting the market's growth.
Drug firms are concentrating on creating biologics and biosimilars in the post-pandemic period since they are very successful in treating some major illnesses including cancer, psoriasis, and Alzheimer's disease. For instance, in June 2021, Lonza teamed up with Pint aeon Therapeutics, a biotechnology business that specialises in creating Alzheimer's disease treatments.
As per this collaboration agreement Lonza decided to manufacture PNT001, Novel Tau Antibody of Pinteon Therapeutics used in the treatment of Alzheimer’s and traumatic brain injury. The growing burden of these diseases, worldwide, is expected to improve R&D and the manufacturing of these drugs. This is expected to boost demand for sterility testing in the post-pandemic period, thereby supporting the market growth.
Type Insights
By accounting for 55.0% of the market in 2021, the outsourcing sector had the highest share. The market is divided into two types according to type: outsourcing and in-house. A desirable alternative is to outsource sterility testing. Small and medium-sized manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical devices might not have the resources to undertake reliable sterility testing, thus they would rather outsource these services to meet FDA standards.
Additionally, outsourcing helps pharmaceutical and medical device businesses save time and money since they don't have to find and educate new personnel or buy new equipment. Pharmaceutical sterility testing services are gradually being outsourced by large pharmaceutical firms as they attempt to concentrate on their core capabilities, such as R&D and marketing. These elements have had a major role in the segment's growth.
During the projected period, a CAGR of 11.3% is predicted for the in-house segment. Throughout the projected period, the market for pharmaceutical sterility testing outsourcing is anticipated to grow due to quality and compliance challenges. Small outsourcing companies do not have the requisite infrastructure, which will likely lower the standard of sterility testing. These factors will probably increase market demand for in-house pharmaceutical sterility testing.

Testing Type Insights
The market share held by the sector for testing bacterial endotoxin in 2021 was 39.4%. The market is divided into sterility testing, bioburden testing, bacterial endotoxin testing, membrane filtration, direct inoculation, container closure integrity testing, antimicrobial efficacy testing, and Rapid micro test based on the kind of testing used.
All medications delivered parenterally must undergo testing for bacterial endotoxins. Additionally, these tests are used to evaluate medical equipment like implants. The market for this category is expanding as a result of rising parenteral medication and implant demand. Along with an increase in the number of medication and medical device releases, there is a growing emphasis on product quality. It is predicted that this will aid in the sectors' expansion.
During the projected period, bioburden testing is anticipated to grow at the quickest rate with a CAGR of 11.6%. Pharmaceuticals, biologics, and all class I, II, and III medical devices are subjected to bioburden testing. One of the key factors promoting segment expansion is the rising demand for the aforementioned items. Additionally, since microbial development in the product might result in recalls later, this testing is crucial during the production process.

Market Insights
37.7% of the market was accounted for by pharmaceuticals in 2021. The market is divided into three categories based on the sample: medicines, medical devices, and biopharmaceuticals. Products like parenteral, aerosols, ointments, eye drops, and others are included in the pharmaceutical category. These dose types are the most popular ones. One of the key reasons fostering the market's expansion is an increase in demand for the aforementioned dosage forms on a global scale. The necessity for sterility testing of medicines is further supported by the growing frequency of recalls of these dosage forms due to a lack of sterility.
During the projection period, the biopharmaceutical segment is anticipated to expand at a CAGR of 11.7%. Due to their efficiency in treating critical illnesses including cancer, neurological disorders, infectious diseases, and others, biologics and biosimilar medications are in greater demand now than ever before. The expansion of the sector market has been further boosted by improvements in biologic and biosimilar approvals over the past five years and rising demand for biologics such COVID-19 vaccines.
End-Use Insights
During the projection period, it is expected that the other segment will grow at a CAGR of 11.7%. The market is divided into pharmaceutical firms, medical device firms, compounding pharmacies, and others based on end-use. Hospitals, clinics, research labs, and associated CROs are included in the other component of the economy.
Research facilities must guarantee that test participants and laboratory apparatus are free from contamination. In order to protect patient safety, other end users require sterility testing for routine quality control and detection of microbiological contamination of the equipment and pharmaceutical items. This helps the segment's expansion even more.
In 2021, the pharmaceutical businesses category had the most proportion, with 42.9%. Since the majority of these medications are oral dosage forms that patients consume, pharmaceutical companies must perform sterility testing to verify the safety of the goods. The requisite sterility tests that must be carried out for a particular medicine are specified in detail in the pharmacopoeia of each nation.
Regional Insights
In terms of region, North America held the largest market share of 49.6% in 2021. This may be attributed to the increasing number of pharmaceutical industries within the U.S. and Canada. The presence of a large number of major market players in this region is expected to contribute significantly to the market growth. Stringent regulatory requirements for the sterility testing of pharmaceuticals and medical devices in this region further support the growth of the regional market.
During the projection period, Asia Pacific is expected to see the fastest growth. This is a result of emerging countries increasingly harmonising their regulatory norms with ICH standards. Additionally, a number of the region's growing nations are adopting a variety of steps to expand the local pharmaceutical industry and are enticing global corporations to establish operations there (collaborations that promote outsourcing activities). Such efforts are probably going to help with regional development.
Key Companies & Market Share Insights
The market is characterised by the presence of several domestic and international businesses. Due to the existence of several local and MNC contract service providers and research facilities, the market is extremely fragmented. The main tactics employed by the majority of these organisations are regional growth, digitization of service delivery for sterility testing, and M&A activity. For instance, Charles River Laboratories introduced their Celsis automated detection system and EndoScan-V software platform for evaluating endotoxins in September 2019.

Melanesia & Pasifika Resources
I'm mixed, from Papua Niugini (Papua New Guinea), considered a Melanesian island within Pasifika. People don't know much about us or that we exist, even within so-called Australia, where I was raised.
Due to how unknown we seem to be, I want to compile some things on the off chance that someone stumbles across my account.
FREE WEST PAPUA — PAPUA MERDEKA!
Resources (books, film, music, etc)
Info (an introduction to West Papua)
Take Action
The FWPC site provides plenty for you to learn and support. Take the time to look through it.
"Its incredibly bittersweet for us displaced West Papuans seeing our PNG wantoks enjoy the freedom from colonial rule that we so deeply desire. And yet we still happily perform our West Papuan dance at your Independence Day gatherings. We’ve learnt to speak Tok Pisin to communicate with you. We’ve learnt and memorised every single PNG classic so we can sing together. We do all this because we realise that no man-made border will ever divide us. All we ask is that you join us in liberating our New Guinea island. Wave the West Papuan morning star flag at every given opportunity. Invite us round for tokstori. Learn our songs and dances. Pull up to our rallies. We are family. We share one motherland."
— An excerpt from this post by Koteka Wenda (Instagram)

The progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) therapies market, is anticipated to grow at an annualized rate of over 35% till 2030
The exact cause of this rare disorder, which affects 5-17 in 100,000 people, is unknown; however, a complex interplay between different risk factors, including age, genetics and environment, is likely to contribute to the onset of this rare tauopathy
 London
Roots Analysis has announced the addition of “Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Therapies Market, 2021-2030” report to its list of offerings.
Presently, there is no cure for PSP and the effectiveness of prescribed generic medications and non-drug therapies to improve the quality of life in patients, is limited. The high unmet patient need and rising caregiver burden has inspired several players to focus their efforts on the development of therapies to control the progression of PSP or manage its symptoms. Consequently, multiple orphan designated drugs, currently in phase II of development, are anticipated to enter the market in the next 3-6 years.
To order this 100+ page report, which features 70+ figures, please visit https://www.rootsanalysis.com/reports/progressive-supranuclear-palsy-market.html
Key Market Insights
Currently, over 20 drugs are being developed across preclinical and clinical stages
Majority (50%) of the drug candidates are being evaluated in phase I clinical studies to ease the complexities associated with PSP. Further, owing to their ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, small molecule drugs represent ~70% of the PSP pipeline; this is followed by anti-tau antibodies and antisense oligonucleotides. Since majority of the drugs are small molecules, oral route is the most preferred route. The players that are engaged in the development of drug products / therapies for progressive supranuclear palsy
Close to 20 industry and non-industry players are engaged in the development of drugs for PSP
Majority of the industry players (59%) are small firms / start-ups (with less than 50 employees). North America is the current hub, where close to 60% players are based. Further, a few non-industry players, including Washington University and Scripps Research, are leading the development of several early- stage PSP programs.
More than 100 trials, related to PSP, were registered in the last two decades
It is worth mentioning that around 52% of the trials were / are being conducted in Europe and Asia-Pacific region, however, more than 60% of the patients are enrolled in clinical trials conducted in North America. Further, most of the studies are focused on investigating tau targeted radiopharmaceuticals for PSP.
Around 80 eminent scientists, clinicians and industry veterans, with specialization in neurobiology, emerged as key opinion leaders (KOLs), in this domain
Nearly 50% of these KOLs are associated with organizations based in Europe, followed by North America. Multiple individuals from University of California, San Francisco and Toulouse Hospital and University Center are involved in clinical studies for PSP drugs. Further, 76% of these KOLs have doctoral degrees, namely MD and PhD.
Grants worth over USD 300 million have been awarded to support PSP research, since 2010
Till July 2021, over 700 grants have been disbursed to various companies / organizations working in this domain. National Institute on Ageing and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke emerged as the most active funding institutes, contributing to over 90% of the total grant amount.
In the last two decades, ~2400 articles on PSP, have been published in neuroscience journals
Over the years, there has been a gradual rise in the number of publications related to PSP; nearly 50% of the articles have been published since 2017. With over 150 articles, Parkinsonism & Related Disorders and Journal of Movement Disorders emerged as the key journals.
Several partnerships were established by stakeholders in this domain, since 2015
More than 75% of the reported deals were established since 2018, with the maximum activity being reported in 2019. Majority of the instances captured in the report were research and development agreements (33%), followed by licensing agreements (25%).
By 2030, curative therapies, targeting molecular mechanism underlying PSP, are likely to represent over 90% of the market share (in terms of sales revenue)
Growth in this domain is anticipated to be driven by the lack of competition from generics and consequently steering adoption of high-priced curative treatments. It is worth noting that US is likely to capture the highest market share (over 65%). Further, the market in Europe is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of ~25%, in the period 2024-2030.
