It's easy to look at fiction like The Hunger Games or Star Wars and root against the oppressor. For Americans like myself, it is far more difficult to root against the oppressor in reality because we would have to challenge not just our own nation but the oppressor within ourselves.

Part III of Kenobi really furthers the Judaism parallels of Jedi/Force sensitives and further hammers in how the empire is nazis
Like, Jedi already are heavily Jewish-coded, and here you have a persecuted minority, desperately trying to get out of fascist controlled territory, being aided/smuggled out at times by an underground network, and if the empire catches them, they "disappear" never to be seen again
Sounds familiar doesn't it?
Actually, let's talk about that "disappearing"
For a while now we've been assuming that captured Force sensitives and Jedi younglings are inducted into the Inquisitor program, or perhaps funneled to the Sith Eternal
But neither of these really hold up
For the sith eternal, we don't really see that many force sensitives in their ranks, certainly not a large amount that would be gained from harvesting the galaxy's Force sensitive population
And for the Inquisitors, well, there's not that many of them, just the Grand Inquisitor, the 9 numbered Inquisitors, the two unnumbered ones Vader killed in DLOTS, and the one Maul killed, that's 13 total, so the Inquisitors aren't actively replacing their losses or increasing their numbers
So that leads me to two conclusions (though they're probably one in the same, with one option resulting in the other) for what the empire is doing with the Force sensitives:
Experimentation and Extermination
The empire is actively murdering Force sensitives or performing some sick experiments on them, unconcerned with whether the test subjects die, because they're going to be killed anyway
Seeing the parallels?
It totally tracks for the sith, they are selfish above all else, it's not enough that they've wiped out the Jedi, taken over the galaxy, and are persecuting other Force orders, they want to monopolize the Force itself, be the sole controllers of the fundamental cosmic energy of life and the universe
"But that's not true!" You say, "the sith have the Inquisitors, clearly they're OK with other Force users!"
No, they're not,
For one, the Inquisitors are subservient to the sith, which really conveys a message doesn't it? Under the sith you can only have the Force, something which exists everywhere and in everything, so long as you submit to and serve them
This also explains why they're not replacing losses the Inquisitors suffer, there's only room for the sith, they tolerate the Inquisitors existence so long as there are Jedi and other Force sensitives to deal with, but without those, the Inquisitors are the biggest threat to the sith, so the sith allow the Inquisitors to be gradually whittled down, by the time they're gone any Force sensitives or surviving Jedi are so few that Vader or regular imperial forces can handle them

Ah yes, casually popping tablets before some more work to get yourself sharp and awake.
That's a historically accurate Nazi depiction

You gotta hand it to the show runners of the Space Battleship Yamato reboot series: they have done a good job of humanizing the Space Nazis. By this, I do not mean that they say that the Space Nazis are good guys.
Rather, what they begin in SBY 2199 and continue in Ark of the Stars, 2202, and 2205, is a process of examining the reasons that lead various Space Nazis to do what they do.

If you have Disney Plus, I can't recommend Star Wars Andor enough. The last few episodes we watched tonight were extremely cathartic and empowering, especially for anyone feeling beaten down by all the fascist bullshit in this country.

If the Fourth Inspector had indeed destroyed the Blorgon mutants before they were placed in Vosdra’s tanks,
would an even worse creature have risen up and conquered the cosmos?

y'all really think we don't know coriolanus snow, son of crassus xanthos snow, is a (future) dictator and mass murderer who is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, the vast majority of whom are children, including finnick odair??? y'all really think we don't know that even as a youth he's already a controlling, narcissistic, scheming, calculating, traitorous son of a bitch?
you've severely underestimated our powers of media literacy, and also of knowing the difference between reality and fucking fiction.

#“you are not immune to propaganda” problem is some of you have absolutely no fucking immune system
thank you! i'm so sick of being nice about this particular thing. this webbed site is so invested in telling people it's okay if they fall for a little blood libel as a treat
I feel like I'm going insane. That post was well-intentioned and I hope it reaches people who need to see it, but the fact that OP and their friends hung out with fascists for hours before they began to suspect something was off is absolutely fucking wild to me—the dogwhistles wouldn't have even registered if they hadn't walked past a literal synagogue, and they only picked up on those because they recognized the rhetoric as things the Klansmen in their family would say. OP is in their 30s, btw—that level of credulity in an adult is objectively horrifying! If I truly believed every gentile leftist were that susceptible, I'd fucking kill myself.

The thing about handwringing about “larpers” in movements is that if it was fantasy and wet dreams and play pretend, then what are liberals opposing?
Either no one is actually doing violent direct action cause it’s all online posturing, in which case there is nothing to be afraid of cause keyboard warriors are too chicken shit to leave their homes…
Or there is something that is happening that scares the shit out of liberals.
Which is where “false flag” shit comes in. Every firebombed pregnancy crisis center was aktuallyyy the work of cops or nazis or someone trying to make the movement look bad cause we’d never damage property or fight people in the streets, no one would tag a politician’s office cause we all love democrats, no one would drop banners advocating for violent resistance cause we are peaceful state-loving anarchists uwu it’s an op it’s an op it’s an op, russian bots burned down that wendys
Diversity of tactics incorporates the idea that not everyone CAN do the same action. Not everyone CAN risk arrest or facing the cops or getting into violent confrontation with nazis or CAN execute a plan to destroy a vital piece of infrastructure
So why do you spend all your time and energy trying to sabotage and derail and discredit those who do? Who can? Who will?
“I don’t like violence.” Superb, show up as the peaceful alternative for politicians to parlay with so they don’t get hit with the violence of those who advocate for much more serious consequences for their constant treachery!
You have no leg to stand on without a threat behind you, you do a disservice to even yourself by spending all your time combatting it.
Fash haven’t been kept at bay cause they are afraid the Great and Infallible Law will get them, it’s cause they have reason to be scared.
Or do you not actually want change and just want social capital?

Miner Wars 2081 (PC) Review
(This review contains story spoilers!) the good: - decent, if generic, action gameplay - once you get used to the interface - a story that briefly had me invested until it got fucked up and made me feel uncomfortable enough to stop playing - fleeing and hiding from the solar flares gave a unique feeling of tension, they really capture the way space makes you feel so small and helpless before the cold infinite darkness that is outer space... the bad (oh boy) - you are taught very little going into the game. It starts with a bunch of noise and chaos while you are trying to learn the controls and gameplay mechanics. - The Ship AI is absolutely obnoxious. It will nag you incessantly about every little thing, including every single enemy encounter. - The menus are confusing enough that I never even got the hang of shops or modifying my starting weapon loadout. - and the big one for me - Missions that would require me to provide aide to a christian colony and later team up with space nazis. yes, space nazis. I am extremely against both of these real-world groups and even in a play-pretend video game world, I don't feel comfortable working with or assisting them. These storyline elements were the final nail in the coffin of me tolerating the annoying ship AI and awkward menus to enjoy some decent space-shooter gameplay Ultimately, If you're wanting a Descent-like experience, I recommend passing on this, and playing any of the original Descent games, or give Overload a try. It's another Descent-like game that feels much more like the classic Descent gameplay, with shiny modern graphics, and none of the creepy nazi stuff.

"When next we meet, I would like to discuss the best way to disseminate the drug on as many worlds as possible." "We won't be doing that any time soon." "Perhaps our victory will change your mind." "If and when we ever return, I don't imagine you'll be here. I don't imagine anybody else will be, either. Good luck." ""Victory at all costs." That sound familiar, Major?" "Churchill." "Aye. Never thought I'd disagree."
