The commonly used ink in recent times is plastisol ink. It is eco-friendly ink made up of plasticizer PVC resins and can be easily removed from screen printing screen. Screens utilized for printing with plastisol inks should be regularly cleaned.   

Otherwise, it will create a buildup of ink on the screen and will lower the quality of prints. For cleaning the printing screen and upgrading the quality of your print, here is a step-by-step guide to removing stains with plastisol ink remover.  

Step 1   

Start by diluting the screen printing cleaner with water. Wear a breathing mask, rubber gloves, and protective eye goggles for your precautions. Initiate the process in a well-ventilated area.   

Step 2   

Moist a soft and clean cloth with ink remover and rub the cloth directly on the surface of the print screen where you are attempting to remove the plastisol ink. Coat the screen with a lean layer of plastisol ink remover by directly spraying it onto the item. After spraying, leave the screen for 30 minutes.   

Step 3   

Use a soft cloth and soft-bristled brush to remove the plastisol ink. If required, apply another coating of plastisol ink remover and scrub again to remove all the ink.   

Step 4   

Clean the screen with cold water to remove the ink remover. Let the screen dry for 15- 20 minutes. After that, wipe the screen with a dry and soft cloth.
