Rosa Martín character sheet Wild kratts self insert/oc
She is a brunette but dyed her hair pink after playing the game Celeste ( ;D ) and since she related to Madeline’s determination and struggles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She worked as a fashion illustrator (this was inspired by the fashion illustration class I took last year) for Donita after showing Donita some illustrations she had made from Donita’s clothing and other designs based on them…but once Rosa realized the animals on the fashion clothing Donita was talking about, that she had been illustrating and designing during her job that she had been in for some months, were not plastic or robots but were actually alive she secretly worked against Donita to release the animals, releasing them with her secret hero identity “Lady Scarlett bird” (with a costume looking like a mix of a detective’s trench coat and a hero costume with a design based on the lovebird). She is still working with Donita as a fashion designer and photographer but now it is also to gather information and save the creatures as her secret hero identity.
However, one day, she met the wild kratts. She had been fighting again with Donita as she always does while in her Scarlett bird persona but she realized it was getting more and more difficult with Donita’s pose beams that Donita had gotten from Zach as a gift after the Villain seminar to try to salvage his image…after he had vomited the shrimps in front of her. Little did Scarlett Bird know that just when Donita was about to unmask her, the wild kratt were there to save the day but were surprised to see a new face, and someone dressed like a superhero at that. They saved the creatures and released the hero. Scarlett wouldn’t reveal her secret identity but she was grateful and told them everything. She then showed them the geckos she had hid in her pockets that she had grabbed from Donita and that Scarlett was going to release back into the wild.
That, combined with Scarlett being caught in a posebeam and struggling to get out convinced them that she was on their side. They tried to get her to join them but she refused. She liked staying undercover since she would be able to save more creatures and also since photography and art were her true passions alongside protecting creatures.
The wild kratt crew understood but before she left Aviva gave Rosa something that would make being Scarlett easier. She got a new suit of a similar design to the original but now the wings could glide and she had special boots that let her dash short distances to glide fast, like Madeline from Celeste, and that let her climb on many surfaces like a lovebird could. Rosa was overjoyed and hugged Aviva. Then she quickly left back to Donita’s Jet.
(The “dash” power looks kind of like this)
Tumblr media
She sneaked into the window leading into her room and hid her new upgraded costume at the back of a Messy drawer that she had filled full of books and work supplies which would make it a nightmare for anyone except her to find anything in (kind of like Martin lol). She checked the door which was still locked (she made up a lie about her needing it locked to keep her concentration up and keep her creative flow going when actually it was so she could keep her secret identity) and she pretended to have always been diligent at work on her new designs. Later, Rosa came out of her room/office pretending to be really stressed out from “Whatever those crazy crashing sounds were”. She just saw Donita on her fancy pink couch grumbling over Kratt brothers and a Scarlett Bird, but she just kept walking since she was just a humble, small town, fashion designer and photographer ;) and none of that had anything to do with her ;) ;) She went to the airplane’s kitchen to make some dinner for herself and called it a night.
I was not expecting this to become a mini fanfic but i’m happy :) . I’m going to be making her character design later in both Rosa Martín form and Scarlett form. I have so many ideas for her design, I can’t wait :D !!

alright thats a big one, cardon has kids right? wanna give us some information about them? their bday, when theyre born, maybe who is their godparent(s) >:3
CarDon kiddos, you ask? Oooh this is gonna be a ride so get ready!! (Note: I have yet to draw them so....I'll be using the picrews I made of them for visuals).
So Don and Carmen do end up having kids, five to be exact! They wanted a big family.
Tumblr media
Their first born is a girl, Valentina Pilar Escamillo de la Rosa. She was born on February 16, just two days after Valentine's Day AKA Carmen's birthday hence her name. Pilar...was from one of the girl names they were going to give her, María de Pilar, before Don and Carmen were informed that she would be born on or around Valentine's Day, hence the love themed name. Had she been a boy, she would have been named Valentín or Amador ("lover" in Spanish) or both. She may not have been born on the 14th but the following day, Carmen started having contractions the night of February 15 and eventually went into labor and of course the 16th, the little one was born, at around 6am! Valentina resembles her mother but has most of her father's coloring such as his hair color and eye color. Her godparents are Narcis Prince and Aran Ryan. Don wasn't sure if Aran was "godfather" material but was somewhat relieved when he saw little Valentina giggling at Aran.
Tumblr media
Luis Martín Escamillo de la Rosa is Don and Carmen's second child, a son. He was born on February 26, three years and 10 days after his older sister. He is named after his maternal grandfather, Carmen's father Luis, and his second name, after Carmen's maternal grandfather (her mom's dad) Martín Álvarez. Like his mother, he is mostly referred to by his second name instead of his first. He resembles his father a lot, so much, he's like a clone of him but he does inherit some of his mother such as her hazel eyes. His godparents are Valeria and Masked Muscle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicolás Raúl Escamillo de la Rosa and Rosario Elisa Escamillo de la Rosa are Don and Carmen's third and fourth children, in other words...they're twins! They were born on March 19, three years after Martín, six years after Valentina and on the first day of Spring. The twins were born 5 minutes apart, first Nicolás and then Rosario. Despite it was twins, Carmen still went for a natural birth anyway.
Nicolás or Nico as he is called, got his names picked by Carmen. She liked the name Nicolás but his middle name Raúl, Carmen got that after the actor Raul Julia, the actor who played Gomez Addams in the 90s Addams Family movies. Carmen loved his portrayal of him. Rosario's names? Don picked them. He was going to name her Rosalina but Rosario is one that stuck to him. Elisa comes from his paternal grandmother (his dad's mom) Elisa. The twins resemble Don the most but have most of Carmen’s coloring such as her blonde hair and hazel eyes. I definitely see their godmother being Dolcita.
Tumblr media
Antonio Samuel Escamillo de la Rosa is Don and Carmen's fifth and youngest child. He was born on March 10, nine years after Valentina, six years after Martín and three years after Nicolás and Rosario. Unlike the previous births, Carmen had some complications and had to give birth to Antonio via C-section. Thankfully she and baby were okay. After the complications, Carmen and Don decided to stop having kids and plus, with five, the family feels complete now. :)
Don decided to give his second name Antonio to him and his middle name? That comes from Don's maternal grandfather Samuel Márquez. Little Antonio resembles Carmen a lot, her older siblings even point out how much it feels like they're seeing little Carm again, but he does have Don’s features like his brown eyes. I'm still deciding on a godparent or godparents for little Toño, once I think of one, I'll update this.
Aside from having their own aunts and uncles from each of their parents' sides, they also see their parents' friends as their aunts and uncles too and if their parents' friends had kids, they're honorary cousins.
As you can tell, all of Don and Carmen's kids are February and March babies, one is an Aquarius (Valentina) and the rest are Pisces. This idea, I was inspired by Paul and Linda McCartney. Their children together Mary, Stella and James are all Virgos and born on August 28, September 13 and September 12 respectively. Linda was also born on September (on the 24th) like Carmen was born on February just her two oldest. And Don and Paul were born in another month from their spouse and kids. August for Don and June for Paul. So far that's what I have on the kiddos.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 19:

World Premiere FNF Restoration!
NEVER OPEN THAT DOOR | NO ABRAS NUNCA ESA PUERTA
Argentina, 1952. Estudios San Miguel. 85 minutes
Screenplay by Alejandro Casona, from two short stories by Cornell Woolrich (William Irish)
Produced and directed by Carlos Hugo Christensen
More noir films have been based on the stories of Cornell Woolrich than any other writer, and NOIR CITY is proud to present this brand-new restoration of one of the best of those adaptations. In “Someone’s on the Phone,” Ángel Magaña plays a man bent on avenging the death of his sister, driven to suicide by gambling debts. In “The Hummingbird Comes Home,” Roberto Escalada portrays a racketeer who brings the gang to his boyhood home to lay low after a robbery. His blind madre doesn’t approve. Originally a three-part anthology of Woolrich tales, Never Open That Door was released separately from the 73-minute If I Should Die Before I Wake, also adapted by Casona and Christensen. Benefitting from the incredible cinematography of Pablo Tabernero, this is one of the most evocative realizations of Woolrich ever produced, featuring masterful sequences of sustained suspense. Said Buenos Aires film critic Horacio Bernades, “Rarely has an Argentine film been more purely cinematic than this.”
CAST: Someone on the Phone: Ángel Magaña (Raúl), Renée Dumas (Luisa), Diana de Córdoba (Nelly), Nicolás Fregues (money lender), Pedro Fiorito, Orestes Soriani, Percival Murray, Rosa Martín , Arnoldo Chamot. The Hummingbird Comes Home: Roberto Escalada (Daniel), Ilde Pirovano (the mother), Norma Giménez (María), Luis Otero (Juan)

STREET OF CHANCE
Tumblr media
United States, 1942. Paramount [Universal]. 74 minutes
Screenplay by Garrett Fort, based on the novel The Black Curtain by Cornell Woolrich
Produced by Burt Kelly. Directed by Jack Hively
The first case of amnesia in the film noir era comes with a typically intriguing Woolrichian twist. Frank Thompson survives a near fatal accident only to have the shock partially restore his memory! He realizes he’s lived the past several years as someone other than his true self. With the help of his incredulous girlfriend Ruth, Frank embarks on a nocturnal quest to determine his true identity. This modest offering from the B-unit at Paramount benefits from some A-list contributors, principally stars Burgess Meredith and Claire Trevor, and director of photography Theodor Sparkuhl, whose contributions to the look of early ’40s noir have gone largely unheralded. A wonderful gallery of supporting characters skitter and sneak through Frank’s waking nightmare, well rendered by journeyman director Jack Hively who had previously helmed many entries in RKO’s mystery series The Saint.
CAST: Burgess Meredith (Frank Thompson), Claire Trevor (Ruth Dillon), Louise Platt (Virginia Thompson), Sheldon Leonard (Joe Marucci), Frieda Inescort (Alma Diedrich), Jerome Cowan (Bill Diedrich), Adeline deWalt Reynolds (Grandma Diedrich), Arthur Loft (Sheriff Stebbins), Clancy Cooper (Burke), Ann Doran (Miss Peabody), Paul Phillips

Hi Rosa! Can I suggest a prompt?
Martín and Luciano have a huge fight, they end up needing to be pulled apart by Antonio and Port. Since they're still so angry, and Luci doesn't want to talk to Port while Martín doesn't listen to Antonio, the two brothers do a switch: Antonio takes Luciano aside, while Port pulls Martín to his car so they can go on a ride and clear his head a little.
Hi my dear! Everytime you send me a message is an honor to me~ I'll try my best!
Upside down
Spanish version
"And what was it this time? " Martin got into the car and slammed the door, obfuscated " My car is a week old, please " the blond didn't answer him and crossed his belt almost cutting it " ; including the belt.
"I'm shitting on your car, Gabriel! ¡La concha de la lora!"
"… Then get out."
Martin noticed how Portugal suddenly stared at him, with that seriousness that only Europeans had; that imperial coldness so… uncomfortable. In that tone of aquamarine eyes, it seemed creepy.
"… excuse me. " the blond suddenly said in anguish. The older man sighed, resigned and amused deep down, for he still felt the Latinos were like children fighting over their toys.
"Don't worry. That's what I came for.
"No, no, really. Soy un pelotudo, I apologize uncle, it's not with you " Argentina grabbed his forehead " . It's just that I'm insane when he gets on his nerves.
"Luciano has that quality " he added with a hint of acidity, starting the car " . But tell me on the way, you need to get out of the building.
"Yes… thank you. " he said pityingly, barely blushing and looking straight ahead, like a (huge) obfuscated child.
"Do you want to go eat? This old soul is in the mood for some good codfish and an old wine; that way the words come out of the chest better when they should."
Martin smiled with embarrassment, for his attitude seconds before. Portugal was not a great conversationalist, unlike his father; and he would not give him the comfort of words for hours, or kisses and hugs to which he was get used to. No. The older Iberian was more peaceful, silent and reflective; his actions did much more than his speeches or his judgments, which, though beautiful and eloquent, were brief and select.
In that wisdom of the old empires, Gabriel knew that such an emotional creature did not need a sermon, but to change the air and do something else.
"Yes, I'd love it."
And while Hernandez thought how much more nuanced the Iberian's voice was speaking in Spanish, lilting like Brazil's but deeper, Dos Anjos smiled briefly without taking his eyes off the road, and stepped out onto the path.
---ooo---
"… and that's what happened."
Brazil lowered his arms after recounting the whole episode by circling around Spain, who looked at him seated with attention and his (strange) seriousness.
"Okay. Look Luciano, the problem is that you two are like Gabo and me; similar in the annoying points, and different enough to confront each other. Add to that the fact that you are the references of Latin America; too much pressure on your shoulders. You explode at the slightest thing."
"It wasn't the slightest thing, uncle, he questioned the veracity of my desire to be free like all the others, in front of my other brothers! How dare he, someone like him!!!"
Antonio laughed and drank the wine at his side, shrugging his shoulders.
"What a dilemma to tell that to me, my dear."
Luciano stood still and blinked, realizing.
"Ah… " Antonio laughed, making a gesture.
"Don't worry, I get the point, I don't take it personally. But yes, that difference you have with all my kids feels harder sometimes. And they make you feel left out."
"… Yes."
"Well, it's not your fault, and it's not Martin's fault. If you ask me, I think you should talk again. I know how much you love each other, and that's why you fight like that " he pointed out, finishing his drink " . Let a few days go by, you know Tincho goes off when he feels attacked, and he thought you doubted his manhood with the joke after the meeting."
"It was a joke! Everyone makes him bad jokes and worse and he doesn't react like that!"
"Well, maybe he feels that with you he must show himself different, unbeatable at heart, since he considers you as the only rival worthy. That's not a bad thing."
"It is when he says such horrible things."
Spain sighed, looking at the golden cross on his breast and touching it, melancholy; searching for the words."
"Look, Lu; I didn't raise you, okay? But I do know something: I treated your father very badly for a long time. My children felt, I felt, that he was an inferior being, despite being my eldest and having been born by the same mother. That constant contradiction in my head made me very unstable in our bond, for I love him as I love few things in the land of the Lord. As I matured over the centuries I realized that, deep down, I wanted him to stop looking at others and look only at me. I was… I am, jealous, wow. Especially of the relationship he has with Albion. I want his attention, it's a reflex; and I did it in the worst way many times, until I understood how his space was shaped and that I should respect it. I think it's the same case."
"Why would Martin want my attention? " Da Silva suddenly blushed.
"Well, because he wants exclusivity with you… as far as beings like us can understand it, of course. Not like humans, not in that obsessive and monogamous way; but that you dedicate something of yours only to him. It can be the rivalry or the energy of confrontation. That's enough for him; it's just that he's young and with that hot blood he's got he's going off the deep end, like I'm telling you. That's all."
Brazil lowered his gaze and looked out the window of that private office, scratching his curls.
"I hadn't thought about it like that… " I look at Antonio " And what is the solution?"
"In my experience, a good gift and an apology. Martin will eventually realize his overreaction and do it on his own; I've seen that way with his kids too, so it comes naturally to him. If you don't conform, you ask him for distance."
The young nation nodded, twisting his mouth and looking at the European.
"… And you get along… well with Pai now?"
"That's a story for another day, kid" he smiled, enigmatic. "Try to solve your problems first."
Luciano half-smiled, nodding.
"Obrigado, tio Tonho."
It could have been many things, but Antonio certainly had the gift of healing with words.

Leamos y charlemos.
