RSoFs - Update, 11/5/23.

Hi, today I’m gonna share the exciting news. RSoFs chapter 5 will be released publicly on 9 November, this Thursday!

There are a few issues with the code I had to fix before the release. And now onto what will be released on Thursday?

- Newest upcoming chapter, the chapter 5 (and also the latest chapter I’ll release for the demo.).

- Another bad ending?

- Three different routes.

- Another P.O.V from one of the characters. (Spoilers, it’s not from the LI/RO. Not now at least.)

- A lot of choices.

- Some other secrets, you have to encounter yourself.

I’ve released the alpha version on my patreon a week ago, and forgot to announce it. (My bad. It’s probably filled with a lot of error too :’))

As for extra content schedule on patreon will be released at the end of this week. For Q4 2023 and Q1 2024.

CHARACTER UPDATE ( Q4 2023-Q1 2024 )

with the terms slowly transitioning, we're giving some people the opportunity to work on this character update task. this opportunity is only available to muses who have joined the roleplay AFTER APRIL 9, 2022. for this, there are two options so you only have to pick ONE to do.

the FIRST option is answering a series of questions regarding a specific topic. for this update, the topic will be about RELATIONSHIPS. since there are several questions for this, you just need to pick FIVE to answer. this should be written IN CHARACTER and each response should be at least 100 WORDS long. in terms of setting, you can imagine this was being asked by one of the coaches.

Distraction

She felt a pulling feeling deep down in herself. His last message to her was very normal, and his lack of response to her messages after that was typical as well. She didn’t think much of it but knowing that something had happened to him really made her concerned. Miroku’s hesitance to share that there had been something wrong was distressing to begin with but was even more so considering how little he spoke of the subject. She knew Inuyasha’s soul had been hurting and she wished that she was closer to him to be able to talk with him a bit about it. She wanted to be able to help him in whatever way she could but feared that doing so now would be overstepping. She looked at the message a bit more. They were a little more than acquaintances. Why would it be weird if she sent him a message? It’s not like she had to point out the elephant in the room. She could just be friendly. That’s what friendly friends do.

New chapter! I'll be pausing on writing the next chapter until I finish the actual banner for this fic. I've been posting a WIP each time that I've been too intimidated to finish.

Hello Friends!

I just wanted to jump on here and give everyone an update since it’s been so long since I’ve posted anything. Five months here on Tumblr, 16 months since there’s been an update to any of my fanfics at best and 50 months at worst. (And for some reason One White Blank Page seems to be going through a renaissance period of new readers despite the fact that it’s been 16 months since there was an update.)

It’s crazy looking back at it, but I started writing One White Blank Page 4 years ago when I was a full time college student! A lot has changed since then, in the world at large, and in my own little personal bubble of a world.

In 2022 I took a hiatus from posting or updating any fanfics at all. It was a year where everything felt so incredibly out of control for me, and that feeling spiraled into my creative life and took away most of my drive to hunker down and actually create. I’m looking at 2022 as having been a ‘fallow’ year where my metaphorical fields had to sit untouched for a while in order to prepare for a new season of creating.

This year I’ve been brimming with creative energy! And I’ve been focusing most of my efforts into a piece of original fiction that I’ve talked about here a bit before. It’s a New Adult novel that I’ve tentatively titled You Got The Wrong Hero, and I do aspire to one day query and publish that novel. Of course, in order to do that I have to actually have a finished novel to publish!

So, this year, I’m choosing to focus the brunt of my creative efforts on YGTWH. At this time, I’m planning on having the first draft of YGTWH finished towards the end of this year. Because I’m going to be focusing so much of my creative energy and free time into getting the first draft of YGTWH finalized, I’m not going to have much time to focus on my existing fanfics.

Now, this isn’t to say that I’m abandoning my existing fanfics! I love those fanfics that I’ve written and I have every intention of returning to them. But this is a notice that I’m going to be on a fanfic hiatus until I finish that first draft of YGTWH.

Apologies to everyone who loves my Megamind and ATLA fanfics I have up, but it’s been a lifelong dream of mine to write a book that gets published and I genuinely feel like the idea, plot, and characters of YGTWH are enough to get me there if I can only give them the time and effort they deserve and actually get them down on the page.

I threw a (very) tentative schedule for my upcoming writing life for the next few years down below for those who are interested in when they can start expecting me to return to my existing fanfics. And below that I have a short list of tropes and ‘comp titles’ for YGTWH for anyone who might be interested in being a beta reader once I get this first draft done!

TLDR; I’m not dead and I haven’t abandoned any of my fanfics! I’ve been on hiatus and will be for a while longer while I finish some stuff up. See the (very) tentative timeline below for an estimate of when I will return to working on your favorite fanfic!

(Not to say the fics at the end won’t be updated at all until the prior ones are done, but they’ll be updated less frequently than the others.)

Imagine if you dumped Stranger Things, Venom, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Twilight (but only the vibes) into a big stockpot, simmered for 12 hours, attempted to perform an exorcism on the remains and failed… and you would get something similar to You Got The Wrong Hero.

An action packed dystopian with sci-fi/supernatural elements and lots of romance. You have these tropes: Long lost friends to lovers, Love across battlefields, Slow burn romance, Touch her and I’ll kill you, a Morally grey protagonist, the ‘Villain’ gets the girl (and the girl is the ‘hero’), Mutual pining but they’re idiots, Hurt & comfort, Angst & fluff, EVERYBODY has daddy issues, When he’s with her he’s a golden retriever but when she’s not there he’s a rabid dog, Extremist terrorist groups and the government agencies dedicated to catching them.

Rusted Moss coming to PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch in spring 2024 alongside major update

Publisher PLAYISM and developers faxdoc, happysquared, and sunnydaze will release physics-based grapple hook Metroidvania game Rusted Moss for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch in spring 2024 alongside a major update, the companies announced.

Rusted Moss first launched for PC via Steam on April 12.

“We’ve been working hard on the major (and final) content update of Rusted Moss,” the developers said in a press release. “While Rusted Moss will not have a sequel, it sometimes feels like this major content update might as well be one! And as you can see, we probably enjoyed making this update a little too much and will need more time to add in and polish all these new features. On the plus side, this also coincides with some exciting news, that being the console release! Thank you all for your patience and support!”

The major content update is currently in the works. In our previous roadmap announcement, we’ve revealed that the content update would be released early to mid Q4 2023, but due to development and porting adjustments, we are pushing the major content update back and releasing it on Steam alongside the console release next year. Boss Rush Mode

Maya Mode – Play through the game as Maya after you beat it the first time. Speedrun mode rules apply so there are no new dialogue or endings, but you’ll be introduced to some new nifty ways to play.

The console versions of the game coming next year will include the major content update for PC and all other updates released to date.

acting techniques — specifically the meisner technique: unfortunately for jino he got called on in class to counter react a partner's acting, you just so happened to notice jino, not so in his elemental, appearing quite obviously taken back by such a display. for lack of better word, it's hilarious and something that needs to be commented on after (or more amusingly, during) class.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore - Black Dahlia Alpha Trailer

DLC character Black Dahlia will launch in alpha for PC in June, followed by Early Access in Q3 2022, and a full release for PlayStation 4 and PC in Q4 2022. The Switch version of the Season 1 Pass, which has so far seen the release of playable characters Annie of the Stars and Umbrella on PlayStation 4 and PC, is in active development.

The fourth and final Season 1 Pass downloadable content character, who has yet to be revealed, has been delayed from its previously targeted release window of late 2022 to sometime in early 2023.

Publisher Autumn Games and developer Hidden Variable has also announced that a Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One version are currently in development with a targeted release window of 2022.

Black Dahlia Overview:

Black Dahlia’s key Special Move is using her massive gun-arm to launch slow-moving explosive rounds that detonate on contact. These explosive rounds don’t have the fullscreen reach like other zoning tools, so she’s more effective at mid-range where she can approach alongside them using her forward dash and unique “Onslaught” jump.

Onslaught is Dahlia’s unique movement ability that leaps towards the opponent allowing her to attack from the perfect angle. It can be used from the ground and the air, and the distance covered by the ground version adjusts based on how far she is from the opponent.

In future Alpha updates, Black Dahlia’s reload will be enhanced with unique rounds beyond her classic explosive shot. For example, one unique round creates a flaming hazard on the stage to enhance her zoning, while another turns her next shot into a powerful short-range buckshot. Her gun holds six rounds, after which she’ll need to reload.

Her remaining Special Moves will be focused on escaping and tricky movement, and you’ll just have to wait and find out what’s in store for her Blockbusters!

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support and enthusiasm towards Mythaura over the past year. It has been an incredible journey, and we could not have made it this far without your constant encouragement and feedback.

We are so grateful to have such an amazing community that is passionate about our game and genuinely cares about its development. Your feedback and suggestions have helped us shape Mythaura into something truly special and it has been an absolute joy to work on this project with our incredible team and community. We look forward to sharing our progress with you again next month!

Over the past year, our team has accomplished a lot. Here are some of the highlights:

Welcomed back Luci and introduced new team members Miyazaki, Kymara, Munkeking, and Sashie.

Created a new UI from scratch and upgraded to the latest web tools for an improved user experience.

Rebuilt the creator to be faster and more intuitive than before, and added a breeding predictor compatible with creator import codes.

Added 50 new colors to the color wheel.

Introduced Tint and Panda as new Specials.

Introduced the Supers feature, along with the Tegu Super.

Completed assets for 3 NPCS: Reine, Esris, and Jaq, with several more in the works.

Created a battle system capable of multiplayer matchmaking and 3v3 beast battles.

Introduced cosmetic skins called Glamours and formalized the distinction between Gear and Apparel.

Developed our Elemental astrology system, along with beast sizes & descriptions.

Added 30 new companions and another 30 non-companion items.

Built out critical behind-the-scenes infrastructure, and prototyped important features such as real-time chat, breeding, battling, inventory, companions, and even procedural level generation (more on that in a future update!).

Radiant Companions

What’s that strange coloration and sparkle we see on that Flamebrush Boar?

Radiant companions are extremely rare color deviations from the species’s standard colors. Radiant companions differ from their standard counterparts in appearance only–they have access to the same attributes as the standard coloration.

You’ll know when you’ve encountered a radiant companion in the Wild Area: at the start of the fight there will be an animation and sound indicator to let you know you’ve found something special. There will be several in-game methods of increasing your odds of encountering a radiant companion!

Almost all companions will have a radiant version. However, Ko-fi exclusive companions (with the exception of the Golden Ossiflage; see below) will NOT have radiant versions, nor will account-locked companions that fall into our “sapient companion” category, such as Vitterfolk, Harpies, and Fauns.

Beast Descriptions

We're excited to share some key features for each of the nine available beast species currently available in Mythaura! Expanded entries on each beast species will be shared later this year. These descriptions can be found on the beast creator page by clicking the "?" icon next to the beast's species.

Basilisk: The Basilisk's manual dexterity made them the first master alchemists, where their quick movements and precise control of Fire allowed them to safely transmute materials. When a Basilisk is threatened, it can shoot smoldering quills to buy time to flee.

Dragon: Dragons were the first species to develop a written language, and consider themselves preeminent chroniclers of Mythauran history. Their homes are icy, labyrinthine tunnels carved into the Spine of Ere, with miles' worth of stories etched into the walls.

Griffin: Griffin drifts fought one another for conquest of the central plateau during the Hundred Generations War before Atticus the Reformer brokered an uneasy peace. He built the Arena as a forum for warlike Griffins to connect through healthy competition.

Hippogriff: A Hippogriff's highly sensitive brow feathers detect the slightest changes in barometric pressure, alerting them to oncoming gales and storms. They can navigate any storm on their powerful wings, silhouettes lit from behind by bright bolts of lightning.

Kirin: Kirins innately have a strong sense of intuition, and those in touch with their Arcane element are often granted the gift of foresight. They are revered soothsayers and advisors, whose prophetic abilities have shaped the course of Mythauran history.

Peryton: A Peryton can perfectly mimic the sound of any creature that it has heard before. Though a Peryton can will its shadow to take any shape, without focus it naturally takes the form of the creature whose heart the Peryton last consumed.

Quetzal: Quetzals can bend sunlight to create a Solar Aegis, shielding others from harm. Their inherent Light element makes them adept healers; Mythauran townships have their own local pantheons of patron saints, almost all of which feature a Quetzal healer.

Ryu: Ryus use ribbon-like movements to propel themselves through water and air with equal ease. Some Ryu families leave the mainland altogether to build undersea homes for themselves; several sprawling Ryu cities exist in the dark, abyssal ocean depths.

Unicorn: Unicorns hail from the tempestuous Southern Plains, where their affinity for Lightning made them at home in the storms that constantly batter the area. They typically live in large herds of connected families and don't maintain established territory.
