One more thing. In the cutscene, when Eris starts chanting and "invokes the Worm gods," we hear her say three words:
Tumblr media
"Akka... Xita... Sel..."
Obviously Akka and Xita are Worm gods. New Worm god just dropped??? We've never before heard the name "Sel." The only pattern I'm seeing in these being invoked is that Akka and Xita are dead. So maybe Sel is another, some forgotten Worm god that's died a long time ago. Or maybe it's just a word in the incantation, but that's a strange placement for it here with two other Worms.

Okay, I sent you an ask about what I personally dubbed Spoiled Princess Megatron, but I was just struck by an additional thought.
What if the cybermorph who sired Megatron was a flyer, and that's why he can fly? I'm thinking tfp cybermorphs here, apparently.
My discord and I have been talking about spoiled princess Megatron a lot. Like... actively rn we've got a convo going on about it XD I figured Galvatron was naturally flight capable because his carrier was, and tho Megatron's sire (Terminus) is a grounder, he inherited his mother's alt mode and so can fly (but only when transformed, unlike seekers who can hover with their thrusters, and some helicopters who can have their rotors active in root mode)
But! Since I have you here, I wanted to say: I will definitely be answering that ask and picking through it soon. I really enjoy the concept. I have. So many cybermorph concepts. Like so many. My favorite is probably The Horrors from the Sea of Rust, but Megatron not being a first gen morph and instead being Galvatron's favored morphling is also a good one
Lemme ask you, since you're here: are you headcanoning the little princess to have hatched from an intentionally created royal embryo and that's why Galvatron dotes on him? Or, is he from a typical batch that just happens to coincidentally have all the potential to become a queen through metamorphosis, and that's what makes Galvatron think so fondly of him? I like both options tbh ^-^

Do I attempt to salvage the thought I had about Fermet printing Fermetes 2+ hours ago into a post at 10:23 PM or do I salvage the 1883 words of a .md file I apparently wrote before the two hours of helping someone assemble monitor stand + cable management session began into some droll post for tomorrow?

LECTURE 7: MEET THE BEATLES (PART 2): Here’s a recording of Rory Storm and the Hurricanes – the band that featured Ringo Starr on drums before he left for The Beatles – in concert on March 5, 1960, playing their hit “Brand New Cadillac” at the Jive Hive, a popular club north of Liverpool. Rory Storm and the Hurricanes always had an edgy, rough-around-the-edges sound, and this song is no exception to the rule. Interestingly, the song was later remade by The Clash, and turned up as the second track on their landmark album London Calling from 1979. Note how damn punk this is!

Turns out I'm not quite done with DPxDC HIVE Academy
So like.
I'm legit wondering what kind of university would even have a course on afterlife or ghosts to study scientifically when what we got be myths and theories and all that stuff. (How tf do one even vivisect ghost, study their behavior when there's not even a body(?) and so on- not to mention that not everyone has the belief that Ghost Are Evil and all that-) But then a tot came to me: an extension of HIVE. Or maybe a Proto-HIVE. HIVE Uni though, definitely.
The (not so secretly) villain school WOULD DEFINITELY give this dubious three mad scientist kids some funds to go crazy. Also reason why none of the government call of them driving atrociously went through. Or CPS. Or lab safety and so on and so forth.
They're all protected by this nifty thing called HIVE graduates! :D

One of the things that's always fascinated me abt Vivzie as an artist is how her artstyle has almost “regressed” over the past like 10 years.
Like lets take Helluva Boss for example. Every character, be they imp, demon, hellhound or otherwise, all follows the same basic template for their specific race.
this is made painfully obvious with the introduction of this design in the most recent episode, which is supposed to be Beelzebub, a deity usually associated with flies/insects (I bold “usually” because while yes people usually associate Beelzebub with flies, this is because their title/description is being the “Lord of the Flyers”, which people usually see as “Lord of the Flies” So technically Bee doesn't even need to be a fly, she just needs to fly)
Tumblr media
Now normally that wouldn't really matter, creative freedom in stories with inspiration from mythology/religion is what makes them interesting. But what FASCINATES me about HBs depiction of Beelzebub specifically is that Viv already went through the trouble of designing the Gluttony layer to have a hive/bee aesthetic, which makes the whiplash of seeing Bees design so much more severe, because you see the hive designs and honeycombs and go “Oh! they’re gonna make her a bee, yknow like BEElzebub, that's interesting” but then nope, just a 4 armed hellhound
And the fact that the layer seems to have been specially designed with insects in mind begs the question of why the fuck even bother making her just a 4 armed hellhound, you already were halfway there because you had enough foresight to give her 4 arms why not just, yk, make her a fucking bee, or a wasp, anything that ISNT just a 4 armed hellhound is my point
And like...have yall seen Vivs old artstyle?? That shit lowkey oozed character. Like just look at this comparison here, the ones on the left are from before Hazbin (to give a specific date, you're looking at around the range of 2013-2017, Proto-Charlie and Proto-Vaggie I know are from at LEAST 2013), the ones on the right are from the recent redesigns for the A24 pilot
Tumblr media
Now am I saying that ALL of the old designs are better than the new ones? No, I still prefer the new Cherri and Pentious over their old designs. the point I’m trying to illustrate here is how interesting it is to me how much Vivs style as gotten noticeably less “unique” over the past few years
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, I will now sit back and await the Vivziepop Designated Firing Squad to come and execute me

Thank you for all the nice words about the comic I posted a few days ago. I read all the comments and tags and really was nice <3, since all the new people probably don't know Narec, this is him.
He is a Krill(proto Hive) Sunsinger Warlock. He was the character I played the most in a D&Destiny campain based around the Infinite Forest and he became the protagonist of the story by pure chance(hence the jealousy from a friend and them spreading lies about me).
Tumblr media
He's a very good boy, starts as a total innocent and very timid thing, slowly over time grows into this wonderful kind of hero/parent/mentor figure as he figures out what he wants to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So prepare if you stick around, yeah, your gonna see him around a lot between all the Tarot card stuff lol just a warning~

How would Asha know that?
This is an genuine question, to any big bad lorelocks, plz feel free to answer it.
Isn't she a proto-worm that traveled to titan by ascendant plane? How the fuck would long girl know who's even witch queen is?! She left before hive was a thing, right?
Look, lets assume she knows about hive n who hive gods r cuz why not. She does have an access to ascendant plane, so she might heard of them. How could she even know savathun's current status? "...must rise again"?! How do she know wq is dead? How does she know wq can be revived? Does she know that savathun has become lightbearer? It all happened while she was stuck with witness. Even if we assume long girl n wq had a long chat during that time, she can't know if what happened to wq after savathun get the light. Savathun wouldn't remember who she is anyways. All this is about how she somehow know whats savathun up to. Real question is, how does Asha know savathun know whats going on with traveler?

I have not played since The Traveler left and Rasputin died. WHAT is GOING ON in there? THere's pyramids, Eris is a Hive god, Xivu Arath is dead(??? unsure), there's a. A Veil in the Traveler? ??????????????????????
Oh dear, welcome back! I highly recommend checking Destiny Lore Vault for playlists for the campaign, post-campaign quests and seasonal stories (Defiance, Deep, Witch, Wish)!
Speedrun cliffnotes:
Lightfall! Witness found something called the Veil on Neomuna. The Veil is to the Darkness what the Traveler is to the Light; a paracausal entity that controls aspects of it. We also knew about it because Osiris had a vision of it and Rasputin confirmed that! We go to Neptune where we find Neomuna and Cloud Striders, a civilisation that escaped the Collapse. The Witness tricks us into getting near the Veil and uses our Ghost to create a link between the Veil and the Traveler which opens a big portal on the Traveler. The Witness goes through and has been missing since. This whole year was dedicated to figuring out how to follow it into the Traveler!
Defiance! The Witness left its fleet to attack Earth, we defend the Earth from its forces. Mara and the Awoken help us, Crow and Mara begin their reconciliation, Amanda dies sacrificing herself to save civilians.
Deep! Titan returns from the anomaly! We've been told previously that we have to go there because an "enemy of the Witness" lives there; the enemy is a proto-worm Ahsa who fled the Fundament and settled on Titan back in the Golden Age. Ahsa helped Sloane survive on Titan. The two of them team up to help us against Xivu Arath and to figure out the portal. Ahsa tells us that Savathun knows how to get into the portal which means we have to rez her.
Witch! We meet up with Immaru who tells us that Sav left instructions for this exact situation; she will only tell us about the portal if we "deal with" Xivu Arath. Eris embraces her Hive side and bonds with Ahsa, to become a temporary Hive God of Vengeance. She collects tithes from us, the Guardians, and becomes super powerful. Once she's ready to face Xivu, we rez Savathun and Eris kills her, scooping up all of Sav's power on top of our tithes and becomes the most powerful Hive god briefly. She uses that power to cut off Xivu Arath from her throne world; Xivu is now mortal. Eris releases her power and returns to normal, rejecting the Sword Logic and laughing in the face of every Hive ever. Savathun honors her deal and tells us that she already showed us how to get through the portal, then she strikes another deal; she is to be free, but we keep Immaru so if she does anything we don't like, we can crush him. Savathun's answer is hidden in the pattern of her wings - it's the 15th wish. The 15th wish is to get one person through the portal. We need an ahamkara!
Wish! Mara and the techeuns conjure Riven's spirit through her cleansed heart; ahamkara persist after death! Riven tells us she will grant the wish only if we help save her remaining uncorrupted eggs because she wants her children and her species to go on. We agree to this and spend weeks saving her eggs which were scattered through the ley lines to protect them (this was done by Riven's mate, Taranis, a kind and benevolent ahamkara). We fight the Sol Divisive Vex for these eggs, who are doing incomprehensible things as Vex do, and when we succeed, Riven grants the wish. Crow is the one to go through the portal because he and Mara share a bond and through that bond, Osiris and Mara figure they can use the Veil just like the Witness did and forge a connection that will open the portal for the rest of us. We're currently waiting for the final mission of Season of the Wish which will likely conclude by showing us that Crow made it and that the portal is opening.
That's the shortest I could get! Definitely recommend checking out DLV and all the stuff because there's A LOT going on and there's a lot of stuff also happening in the background, especially in dungeons, and with everything that appears to be hinting at post-TFS content. There's also a lot of stuff with the Veil and the nature of Light and Darkness, mostly in LF campaign and Parting the Veil quest from post-campaign; some incredibly cool reveals and information going on.
I'll be happy to answer any further questions, if anything interests you more than other stuff, but also feel free to dive into the content yourself! And as usual, Ishtar Collective will help as well, with all the lore books and lore tabs.
We're currently in the free update, Into the Light, which focuses on the continued attack of the Pyramids on Earth, something that appears to be a last ditch effort of the Witness' forces to prevent us from following it to the portal.

A continuation of my awesome Plants theory.
Part 1 is here
In the manga, it's constantly stated that the Plants are created by humans. But humans know very little about the Plants. That sounds suspicious. We know from the manga that a lot of aspects about the Plants are kept secret (such as the blackening of their hair or the fact that they have consciousness), so why are we so sure that what is being said about the origin of the Plants is true? I have a feeling the general public was told that the Plants were created by humans simply to bypass ethical restrictions.
My theory that it actually went something like this: there was a certain patient zero, a woman who came into contact with something from another planet or another dimension, and after that her body and consciousness began to transform and eventually she became a proto-Plant. (Why do I think there was a woman? Because dependent Plants look like human women for no good reason. The manga isn't particularly fanservicey, so the standard "because boobs" explanation doesn't fit.) She started producing "offsprings", the usual dependent Plants. Considering how many of them there are, it is likely that she has become a huge "hive queen", continuously laying eggs, spheres, which are then placed inside the "bulbs".
In fact, they are not separate beings at all, but parts of the "queen" and share the same consciousness with her.
Tumblr media
According to the Chronica, the Dependent Plants "are fundamentally one large collective consciousness. It is incredibly vast, but this "species" shares consciousness at a deep level, initially having no concept of individuality, so apparently "fusion" occurs without fatal collisions."
This explains why Conrad, who had the equipment with which he was able to restore Knives' body, simply didn't make clones of dependent Plants. Cloned Plants that are not part of the queen will simply not work.
Now I'll get to the question of why the Plants, or more specifically the proto-Plant, the queen, needed humans.
We know that humans are dependent on the Plants, and the Plants can simply refuse to work (like when the soldiers tried to shoot at the ark), so the fact that they continue to "serve" humans indicates that there is a benefit to them in doing so.
As I wrote in the first post, I think the Plants cause humans to mutate, gradually turning them into members of their own species. I think this is their way of reproducing, or rather spreading their species to new territories. Different individuals of their species have different specializations. The dependents specialize in spreading their genetic information through food, water and radiation. The specialization of the independents is to control the main population. This is why the independents are so dangerous to "humans" but still resemble them and are able to communicate with them.
Legato and Elendira are perfect hybrids and likely the model for what all of humanity should eventually become: a strong harmonious human body plus Plant's abilities. That's why these two are so close to Knives. Even though he, like the other independents, is not connected to a shared consciousness and knows only what Rem and Conrad have told him, he still feels that Legato and Elendira are closer to his people.
Now a bit about the Plants' conflict with the people of No Man's Land.
We know that the Plants were not happy with the way they were being treated, although they did not wish for the complete genocide of the planet's population. On this page we can see exactly what they didn't like.
Tumblr media
We see how friendly Plant is to the human worker in the first frame, but then it shows what the Plants don't like: people taking too much biomass, people throwing expensive parties for the upper class (and this on a planet where the majority of the population lives in starvation!), people making products to sell for money, even though it's important to the Plants that resources are distributed as evenly as possible. And on top of that, the Plants are dying as a result of these actions, and given that they share a single consciousness, it's not only their shared pain, it's also the death of a piece of their shared identity.

Proto witch drone idiot
“I’m sorry, you simply aren’t fit to be one of our hive units”
The words feel like crushing agony. You’re used to failure but this still hurts. Too broken even to be remade?
“However, we can recommend you for our. Higher level positions. If you’re willing to go through the training”
“higher level?”
“Handler units. Or administrators if you prove sufficiently competent. The training period is harsh, even harder than the assimilation you asked for. But we know you’re capable of it”
as if you had another choice
The first time your whip breaks the skin of a doll you have to hold back a sob. Your partial handler is watching and failure to remain stoic in front of the hive units is unacceptable, this was made clear.
You spend the 30 minutes of mandated break vomiting in the smallest stall you can find.
The yelps from the dolls faded with time. You made a good handler. Just like they said you would. The cruelty needed to manage dolls can’t be taught they said. It’s innate. Even if we have to break it out of the shell of who you were
“th-this one is afraid, it didn’t mean to come here! please, this isn’t what it wanted!”
It has been 3 years since you paused at a dolls words. It’s so. Small.
No one stops you on the way out. You’ve made sure the dolls obey you over all else, and after you smashed one handlers head into the wall none of the others dare. Some of the dolls even follow you out.
You’re so much crueler then they thought they’d make you. But maybe… the small body huddled in your arms, gently wrapped in your coat shivers. Maybe you can be better. Starting with a single lost doll.

Hart
The last living, naturally-magic animal in my animal jam AU: Out in the twilight! (Barring cosmo but he has a whole other thing going on so. you know)
They're (apparently?) insanely old, and wear pieces of the shattered dire wolf & saber-tooth heartstones as earrings. Very very grumpy, they have insanely negative views on the long-deceased leaders of the previous two animal groups (Fang & Star). Also seems to just know a ton abt the ancient city and the proto-phantoms as a whole.
-
everything below isn't directly related to Hart, just a ramble abt the ancient city & jamaas past and all that
Before the current, canon alphas. Alphas didn't... really exist? There were leaders though, such as Fang & Star (mammoths and other old animals had leaders, too, but these two are the most important narrative-wise)
Phantoms existed back then, too, which meant having semi-unorganized leaders made everything all the most hazardous. Though these phantoms are NOT the same as the ones around currently in the au, these fellas are ancient
The ancient city was built by sabers & dires, and the two species & their leader locked themselves in the city in attempts to flee the progressively more hostile phantom invasions. This leads to them being regarded as cowards & their names literally become insults in this AU
Turns out locking your whole species in an underground city is a bad idea! The ancient city fell first when the phantoms attacked as a full group for the first time (mostly because the animals couldn't unify), permanently shattering the heartstones of both animals. They, of course, then went after the surface-dwelling animals & their leaders
Several other species went extinct due to this, but eventually the ancient phantoms were MOSTLY locked away in the ancient city, literally buried in the remains of it
This lead to quite a long era of peace, and the au is mostly canon-compliant up until "Return of the Phantoms"; in which the few phantom groups that weren't caught in the city, by this point, had diversified and became a huge, hive-like, organized entity. They attacked the animals once again and turned up victorious, especially since the alphas had yet to re-unify before the attack and tension among animal species is still insanely high
Tldr animals lose the first time due to in-fighting, but manage to recover! but then they make that same mistake decades later and there's probably no returning from this 1
(Ancient phantoms still exist, also! They haven't bee rediscovered yet, but they're still trapped in the city. they're. unsettling)
-
credit to @bootleggreely for helping me w/their colors & all that, too!

It’s evening.
True Heart’s room in the palace, she chose specifically because it faced towards where the hive was. Now, as she prepares to bed down, she suddenly hears the sound of chitin on crystal, and turns to see Ghost holding her mother in a nimbus of white changeling magic. True Heart blinks, then looks towards her dresser. “Mother, are you willing to stay on your own?”
Chrysalis sighs and nods. “I had already decided to trust you. Ghost showing up was a chance to accelerate my journey.”
True Heart smiles, looking back at the two queens as Ghost sets her mother down, nodding at True Heart. “Ghost stay to provide further assistance. Met earth pony on way to hive. Could keep pace with Ghost, apparently with barely any effort. Told Ghost retrieving other queen only first of a number of potential issues that could happen. Said Ghost should stick around, if Ghost thought Ghost could bring Ghost to get physical with potential threat. Ghost not sure Ghost can, but for potential peace for you hive, Ghost willing to try.”
True Heart nods. “Thank you, Ghost. We truly appreciate your assistance in this matter. Mother. Listen closely. If you’ve chosen to trust me, then you must know what I know. There is a being here in Equestria. His name is Aaron, and he masks himself as an earth pony, though I’m fairly certain he’s much more than what he appears to be. He has demonstrated that he has the gift of foresight, and is willing to use it to make good outcomes more likely. He… has told me the potential results of the upcoming trial.”
Chrysalis nods. “I see. Very well, what can we potentially expect to happen?”
True Heart goes to the window, looking out over the land. “There are three possible outcomes. First, the one we want the most. Peace between us and the ponies. There will need to be a concession of some kind. Aaron said that in that case, we will be given the chance to forge peace through an act of good faith. He didn’t specify what act, but whatever it is, I think we should do it if we’re given the option.”
Chrysalis nods. “Agreed. The second possibility?”
True Heart sighs. “Equestria denies our attempt to forge peace. In this case, father and Cadence have decided to leave the Crystal Empire an open option for us. The crystal ponies are aware of what we really need love for, and father and Cadence provided me an opportunity to test our ability to feed from them. It was a success. We could live side by side with the crystal ponies.”
Chrysalis chuckles. “Of all ponies, I always thought that after the invasion, they would be the least likely to have sympathy for us. Still, we should carefully consider that option before choosing it. If we did this, it could strain relations between the Empire and Equestria. What is the third outcome?”
True Heart takes a deep, shuddering breath, hearing her tears once again landing on the crystal floor. Then she turns back to look at her mother. “There… will be an attempt to assassinate you. In the third outcome, that attempt meets with success.”
Chrysalis blinks, then sighs. “I see. In that case, I think you should know something, True Heart. A proto queen, like yourself, can survive the death of the hive’s queen. If I am slain, you would live on. Over the course of a year, maybe two, your heart would transform into a new queen’s aspect. You could then choose to build a new hive. Or not. It would be completely up to you.” Having said this, Chrysalis walks over and pulls True Heart, who is full on sobbing at this point, into an embrace. “My death… would not mean you would have to be alone as a changeling forever. Take what comfort you can from that.”
True Heart nods. “I will. I never feel like I say it enough, but I love you mother.”
Chrysalis hugs True Heart tighter and says “I love you too, my true born daughter.”

so ahsa is described as a proto-worm, similar to how the krill were the proto-hive before making their pact with the worm gods, right?
so ahsa is essentially a worm god, but one that rejected rhulk and the witness and fled fundament.
we've seen worm gods, they have a single opaque green eye at the front end of their body, ringed with those spiked jaws/mandibles. whereas ahsa, a proto-worm god, has possibly symmetrical eyes, with clearly defined pupils, on either side of her body (at least, thats what it looks like, kinda hard to tell how she's positioned relative to the porthole)
so did the witness completely alter the physiology of the worm gods? were they remade, almost like calus or rhulk? fig. 1: depiction of the worm gods rising from the oceans of fundament
fig. 2: the worm ahsa, staring through a porthole on the moon titan
