i started roleplaying : probably when i was around 16-17 was my first official roleplay experience. it was on facebook and kind of a nightmare types of rps i enjoy : i like college stuff and small town rps, but i also love plot heavy rps that push you into developing your muse. really anything that isn’t too restricting favorite fcs to use : i don’t have go-to faceclaims. i tend to make a character around a FC and then use them until i lose muse or just feel like they need to rest. switch it up a lot, but some faces that i’ve really enjoyed playing for a longer amount of time are steven kelly, cindy mello and ellen v. lora fandom ( s ) you’d like to write in : i want to write in all of the fandoms i know nothing about and look like a dumbass. also harry potter, the hunger games, avatar the last airbender, gossip girl, etc etc fandom ( s ) you aren’t in but are curious about : marvel somewhat, any video games are very fascinating to me even though i’m not a gamer + know nothing about them, any distopian kind of fandom re: hunger games

share a funny roleplay horror story : recently an admin of a twitter rp tried to use my male muse for their weird ship narrative. they tried to make him look like an asshole (& i do play assholes but this one wasn’t one) + used another male muse to make it seem as if these two boys were fighting over the person’s girl, even though she actually had a ship all lined up. they were also running the gossip twitter, so they made up a bunch of stuff about our muses without our consent and consequently i told them to fuck off, and both of us left the group. then she had no more “groupies” so she cuffed and the group closed two days later. it was petty hilarious.

fondest roleplay memory : once in an OC group, i wasn’t “technically” doing a ship with a friend, even though the characters had feelings for each other. but for some reason the status of their relationship was a hot topic group wide, meaning everybody had their nose in it and wanting to know what’s up, so they publically kept doing things to make people think they’re together while denying it in the same breath. it was really fun to let it play out like that.

Things you should know about me:

I’ve been playing FFXIV since the alpha of 2.0 yet I somehow still only have one class at 70.

I work a lot, but I do my best to make time for my hobbies. When I’m not at my nine to five job, I’m home and elbows deep in contract work. No, I’m not an assassin but that sure sounds neat. I just try my best to be super communicative about my schedule and availability. This usually means I need to plan RP sessions in advance.

While I really enjoy long story arcs, I think short one-shots are just as fun, too! RPing with me doesn’t mean you have to commit to months and months of plot (though I do love that as well). All I ask is that whatever we RP becomes part of our characters’ respective stories. It always bums me out when scenes I’m a part of get swept out of a timeline, or retconned.

I’m an introverted dork who admires y’all from afar, but I love chatting and usually will want to get to know you a little before we start RPing. Once every five thousand years, I muster up enough courage to approach someone about RP. This paired with a fear of rejection make it hard for me to reach out, so I tend to wait for others to reach out to me because I just assume my content sucks and oh god who would want to write with me ever.

I’ve been happily married for a little over a year now. Holy shet, we’re actually coming up on two years.

I tend to cope with stress and anxiety by loading up a backpack with crackers and setting out for the woods for a couple of days once the weather gets better (I live in the PNW where winter is just wet, cold, and lasts for 9 months). I’ll always give you plenty of heads up before I go all Call of the Wild.

Things you should know about my muse:

Hilven isn’t a particularly nice lady. Her self-serving ways and lack of scruples tend to put her in the position of a villain, though interactions with her can still be innocuous depending on the situation. She is also deeply flawed and I thoroughly enjoy writing scenes where she will fail.

While Hilven is my main, I am slowly developing my alt, N’fenya. Please look forward to whatever bullshit she turns out to be.

First Language: English.

Second Language: I’m not fluent in any other language, but I’m conversational in Spanish and took one year of Japanese in college. My vocab is shit, but somehow my pronunciation is good enough that while in Japan, the locals thought I spoke way more Japanese than I actually do. So, y’know, that was awkward.

One thing you should know about my characters: I try very hard to keep my characters within reason, and I have a powerful distaste for fantasy that doesn’t follow some internal logic. That said, I’ve been known to make stupid jokey characters or events for the sake of comedy and breaking up a too-consistent mood (too much drama can be just as boring as too much contentment). I also have a knack for fucking people up emotionally.

As I said, I’m basically Leon; that extends to my feelings on what sex is and means. Unfortunately, a lot of skeevy fuckin’ people have ruined a good thing for others, and I am no longer willing to get explicit with someone unless I’ve known them for a while. Best believe you’re gonna have to talk it over with me first, otherwise it’s mostly going to be fade-to-black and vague metaphors. Stalkers are not a thing I’m interested in repeating.

About the Mun

Like to be Called: I usually go by nicknames rather than my real name for most of the time. I have quite a few cause I’ve played a lot of different characters in my time. Dexie or Dex is one I’ve had for years now, but I also go by Bella/Bells, Alia(from a different server) Ceryn(also, from a different server), Lian, Anne or ducky(cause, well...I have webbed toes. >.>)

Gender: Female.

One thing you should know about me: I am a single mom of a low functioning autistic son and I have recently learned that I am an empath as well. So when there are changes to my son’s schedule or changes in general it will severly affect him and therefore affect me quite a lot as well. So during these times I will start to feel exhausted and rather overwhelmed. This is part of the reason I have been a bit absent of late, but when it does happen you can generally catch me on here or discord, and I really don’t mind giving that out either so just ask if you want it.

One thing you should know about my characters: I have a ton of them. Like...A lot of them, and there are times that I can’t really feel them. Like right now I can’t really play Balah cause she’s just a bit too weird. I’ll still answer asks, just can’t really actively play her. But, I am trying to get into playing them atm. But yeah...be forewarned. There are a lot of listings coming up...

How did you get the idea for your URL?: i needed to change my url for my twitter for some reason and nico dot jpg was taken so i went with this and changed my tumblr to the same url for brand consistency
