thoughts on the RC album??

I have lots of them lol. I don't really like country yet I actually like the album a whole lot. I think I like nearly every song which I didn't on the first 2.

Not a popular opinion but Velvet Sky is my favorite song. Those little "ooo's" I just love. It reminds me of "I'd Be Waiting" by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Nightsweats which is one of my favorite songs.

Right Kind of Trouble and Every Light are the faster songs and I've loved them both since we heard them at the concert. Restless Man and Forever Ain't Long I love the lyrics. Absolutely adore Ain't No Tellin' (that boy can sing). Love the upbeatness to You Made Me Blue. Keep On Ramblin' feels like a great roadtrip song you want on in the car. Return to Me is so sweet and slow. I think Sweet Escape is the only one I'm not super into honestly!

quiet sunday

didn’t do much today because with an Hgb of 77 you don’t really feel like doing anything. The transfusion tomorrow is annoyingly early. I’m going to ask them to put a note in my file at medical daycare to schedule after 9:30. For chemo & my labwork, I made the same request and there are only some days when they can’t avoid having me come in early but otherwise they’re pushing things to 9 or 10. I actually wake early but feel so bad that it takes me ages to get going. The neuropathy in my fingers is getting worse which is an annoying development. My nails all feel like they’ve been smashed with a hammer and my fingertips are numb, kind of like when your hands get super cold in winter and you take them out of your mittens and you can’t quite feel your fingertips. This peripheral neuropathy is a side effect of Taxol. It affects feet too though mine aren’t as affected yet. That’s the whole point of icing - wrapping the hands and feet in ice packs to constrict the blood vessels and stop the taxol from going to the small capillaries at the ends. Taxol damages/kills nerve endings from what we can tell. In some people it reverses. I had mild neuropathy when I had taxol in 2018 but it eventually reversed. If you’re on chemo to control your Stage 4 cancer, odds of it ever reversing are pretty much nil though. All I can hope for is to try to slow its worsening. MOs get worried about it when you can’t do up buttons or hold a pen well - geeez, thanks for that quality of life standard. Something different today - not Zumba’ish at all. They were here last summer playing at Playland/PNE but I was in clinical and couldn’t go :( Now are we ever going to have concerts again if there’s no covid 19 vaccine??? Great song and the video cracks me up.
