y/n and neteyam finally became official. they were already boyfriends, but now they were mated. they were walking back to their pods, hand in hand, like any other couple does after being united like that. lo'ak came down the pathway, "all giggly with the chiefs kid?" he teased. "all giggly with my mate." neteyam snapped back. they had to tell their families, and it would be easier to do it all together. they sent lo'ak to retrieve everyone and waited back where they used to train.

y/n had never been more scared in his life. not of his parents or neteyams, but of ao'nung. he was terrified. the families came marching through the sand, sending both boys pulses into the sky. neteyam would be the one declaring it, since y/n was so deeply afraid of what ao'nung would say. "we've known each other for a while now, and we've finally decided what to do. we're mates." y/n didn't make eye contact with anyone. he felt himself be picked up, and he was about to kick his legs and scratch himself free assuming ao'nung was about to throw him. it was neytiri. she didn't say anything, just hugged him. "thank you, great mother. i couldn't bear to watch them swoon in secret anymore." tsireya smiled at them, which reminded y/n of ao'nung. he wasn't speaking. he was staring at neteyam. neytiri put y/n down, his moment of personal space was short lived as tuk ran over and hugged his leg. y/ns mother gave neteyam a small hug and kissed his forehead.

ao'nung approached the two, putting them both on edge and causing lo'ak to step closer to tuk. "i'm happy for you, and i'm sorry." he hugged y/n and that was it. y/ns family left. "oh god are you guys gonna get your own pod? i want my own pod! that isn't fair!" lo'ak immediately started annoying neteyam again. he punched y/n in the arm.

y/n was part of their family now. their families were joined and so were their souls. "aurora eyes.." neteyam whispered, kissing the top of his mates head as his family went to bed.

that was it. they were together. they were meant for each other in every way someone can be meant for another. they were together.

So, I don't exactly know if you've discussed this, but I think it's clear about what this current season is going to lead up to, and why I think it's so important to be adamant and weary about Null Sector's plans.

The evidence is there, and the claim?

Null Sector is trying to start another Omnic Crisis.

However, this one is less 'a glitch in the system'

And more, 'hitting the factory reset button and installing a virus intentionally right after.'

Why?

WELL BUCKLE UP YOUR BAMF BELT KIDDOS CAUSE THIS IS A TRIP AND A HALF.

As we know from story missions, Omnics are being subjugated and indoctrinated across the globe, all at once, in almost every part of the world by Null Sector and those helmets that quite literally place them under a catatonic state and wipe the Omnic's memories.

Torbjörn's analysis on the helmet is very clear when he brings up a very important piece of information:

"I don't know...this device is a nasty piece of work. I think I can get it off, but the bigger problem is, I'm not reading anything in the Omnic's memory banks."

"He's still alive, but it's like the essence of who he is,...is gone."

Now, when we say essence, I'm pretty sure we're saying the Iris, or Aurora's essence that was implemented during the awakening. Now I get what you're thinking. 'Ok Anon #324, but if the Iris gets removed, then why is Ramattra talking about Iris? During the Toronto mission?'

And to you- I say- oh ho ho, my dear, that's exactly what we should be fearing. Let it tie into the fact that there's also one of these Voicelines from Ram when talking about his favorite animal:

"Ants. They build marvelous structures and cooperate when threatened. I find them... Inspirational."

Toronto mission, hell, even the humans are terrified. Everyone is swarming in groups. It's not just gameplay either, when Sojourn is directing the groups of scared Omnics onto the ferry boat, it only proves Ram's point more. People are scared, people are grouping together to fight back, hide, run, and that's exactly what NS wants.

Not only is Null Sector wiping the Iris and awakening out of the Omnics altogether, they're creating a brand new version of the 'Iris'...let's call it 'Pink Eye' cause from what I've seen it's highly contagious. Not only from wiping memories, but also using the memories of strong fighters as well. Human's memories. (*Cough Cough* Ana.)

Have you heard Ram talking during the Toronto mission? He specifically states:

"Together, our one minded purpose. We will make this world, our paradise."

"We welcome you into the Iris."

You let me know what you think about this. I wanna hear some raw thoughts. Big brain mode, no idea is a bad idea. I'm hungry for knowledge.

All I know is that, a couple of things could happen.

If those helmets are taken off, someone is going to have to sacrifice their memories either to bring back the original Aurora awakening and reinstall essence to the Omnics. Wonder who.

If NS ends up indoctrinating a major part of the Omnic population, many will die when and if those helmets do something else. If they can send out a location signal, who knows what else they'll do.

If sentience is reestablished into Omnics and possibly other software coding, this'll be one hell of a trip for all those Null Sector bots.

Honestly I love your theory and I don't think there is much to add! It also is a good way to bring in the Junkers cause apparently he found the secret to Omnic life in the Australian omnium-

That could be a way to bring all the omnics back, the Australian Omnium was the place where Aroura was built after all. They could end up brining a second awakening, some residual of Aroura left in the Omnium. It could also lead to the sentience of the Null Sector drones, specifically the bots that are based off of actual people.

Like the C-455 Sharpshooter, P-900 Warhead, S-900 Sentry, A-7000 Wargod and K-2000 Blademaster. If they all have the same glitch that A-7000 has them that is one hell of an identity crisis they're going to have.

All that aside, I want to present my own theory. A counter theory if you will.

And that is Ramattra doesn't know that those helmets are erasing Omnics, he just thinks they are in a catatonic state. There is no indication that Ramattra knows what the subjection helmets are actully doing to Omnics.

If you look back at Ramattra's short story there is no implication of Ramattra wanting to create a new Omnic society through hitting a reset button;

There is an indication of imprisonment, of taking away other Omnics choices in order to make them listen, but that is very different from hitting a reset button. Essentially killing the soul of Omnics. It's something I don't see Ramattra doing knowingly. However, there is a group of people who would not only do this, but has tried to do this before.

Talon.

Something I remember from the Story Missions is Torbjourn saying that the helmets put an Omnics mind in a loop. It's something I didn't think much about. Until I read "The Hero of Numbani".

In that book Sombra hack and installs a virus several Omnics around Numbani. A virus that locks Omnics in a constant loop, and gradually corrupts the Omnics memories.

Sound familiar? There is also the fact that a part of Doomfist's beliefs that are presented in that novel are anti-omnic.

Not only that but I always found it strange that Dommfist, someone who wants conflict, would help someone who has the motivation of "Peace at any cost". Ramattra goal has and still is, for freedom and peace. Something that if he were to gain, would go against Doomfist's want for conflict.

Unless Doomfist is just using Ramattra and Null Sector as a tool to create conflict, adding either an updated version of Sombra's virus (or what he thinks is an updated version), to remove Omnics souls and create a true Second Omnic Crisis.

Not only that but that could also lead into an explanation on what "The Conspiracy" is, maybe it's another God AI who wants to do what Anubis did but has learned from the mistakes of the first Crisis and is trying to make it so they are guaranteed to win.

Either way I am excited for both of these theories, with the first one it's going to be interesting to just explore that aspect of Null Sector, if they get Omnics back are they going to still have their memories, their souls? Are they going to resort back to their basic programming, are they going to go back to being under Anubis's control?

In the case of the second theory, how will Ramattra react if he truly doesn't know what the helmets are doing? Will he stop the invasion? Will he double down? Will he go after Talon?

It's all so interesting!

“Is this okay?”

Lilac was all radiant smiles as she gestured down at the silk dress cascading around her. She waited for his reaction, lifting an expectant brow. With a start, he realized he had been moronically quiet from the moment she appeared through the elevator doors.

In his defense, words were insufficient to describe Lilac Allende in that coral dress billowing around her. It clung to her body at the dip of her waist, flowing freely around her with the splendor of a goddess. If the hotel lobby wasn't bustling with people, Ethan would have gladly knelt at her feet, her obedient supplicant. A cluster of crystals glittered at her neck, accentuating the sinful plunge of her neckline.

“You look—” he started in his typical fashion. “Far more beautiful than I can verbalize.”

Lilac blushed.

“Look at you, Dr. Ramsey,” she said, impressed. “Your compliments get more and more poetic every year.”

A series of cheers and whistling interrupted his response. Next thing he knew, they were surrounded by the grinning faces of their friends. Their revelry only grew louder as they assessed Ethan and Lilac's attire.

“Holy smokes!”

“You guys look so good together!” Sienna exclaimed, eyes glittering.

“Chief of Medicine and Head of Edenbrook's Diagnostics Team, bitches!” Bryce added with a cheer, earning himself looks from people nearby.

“You two are a certified power couple,” Aurora observed.

“Yeah! It's giving Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively for sure,” Elijah said with a laugh.

“That tracks,” Jackie said, appearing unimpressed. “Since Ramsey looks ready to kiss the ground Lilac walks on.”

Ethan flashed her a look that she expertly ignored.

“Hey, if a man doesn't worship his girl at every turn, then he doesn't deserve her,” Bryce said wisely.

There were more cheers of agreement.

“Okay, everyone! Before we go inside, we have to take a group selfie.” Sienna made sure to look directly at Ethan before adding, “Photos are non-negotiable!”

Much to his chagrin, Ethan was forced to pose to those dreaded selfies. That wasn't enough, of course. Sienna proceeded to take ridiculous couple pictures of him and Lilac in various poses. At one point, Bryce used his suit jacket to create a wind effect that sent Lilac's hair flying around her.

“Last one, I promise!” Sienna said when she saw the look on Ethan's face.

Minutes later, the group stood at the entrance of the event hall. Their friends laughed and chatted animatedly as they strolled into the room, not noticing how Lilac lingered behind. Ethan stopped right beside her.

“Are you alright?”

She nodded, but he still caught the way her fingers toyed with the strap of her purse.

“This is the first time we attend something like this since our promotions. It feels like a big deal.”

Wordlessly, he pulled her close, kissing her temple.

“It is,” he agreed. “Everyone of note in our field is here. I'm certain the gossip will be incessant. Do you wish to leave?”

Lilac sighed, her spine straightening with determination. “No. I hate running away,” she said. “To hell with all of them.”

Ethan laughed, throwing her an impressed look. The way her lips set in a determined line made him want to kiss her. He almost lamented the fact that they weren't going back to their hotel room anytime soon.

Arm in arm, they entered the ballroom.

At first, the ballroom full of their colleagues and peers failed to notice their entrance. They were too enraptured in their own conversations to pay them any mind. Soon, however, clusters of people noticed the new Edenbrook Chief of Medicine arm in arm with the young doctor leading the prestigious diagnostics team. Many were experts about hiding their intrigue, but Lilac caught reactions ranging from shocked to downright disapproving.

Ethan, meanwhile, appeared utterly unaffected. 

He steered her through the throng, stopping to chat only with people he respected. Luckily, that number was low and they only mingled with no more than five groups. They were done with social obligation in less than an hour.

“I'll get us a drink,” Ethan said over the din of the music. “God knows we earned it.”

And with a quick kiss to the back of her hand, he made his way toward the bar. Lilac took that opportunity to find the nearest powder room. While she meant her impassioned “to hell with them all”, it was still exhausting to be on the receiving end of curious or judgmental glances. A moment by herself felt like peace.

Her reflection on the ornate mirror showed a cool and collected version of herself, one that she admired. With renewed resolve, she pushed all trepidation aside, focusing instead on reapplying her lipstick. When she was finished, she trekked back toward the party. A much larger, gold-gilded mirror in the hallway caught her attention. She stopped before it, rearranging her dress. She glanced over her shoulder, ensuring all was well with the back.

“It looks great from where I'm standing,” Ethan's voice said from behind her. Through the reflection, she could see him standing a few feet away holding two glasses with dark liquid.

Lilac laughed. She shifted her body to look at her reflection from a different angle, all while placing extra care in swaying her hips. Ethan moved closer, eyes locked on her through the mirror.

“Are you trying to turn me on,” he started darkly, pulling her body flush against his. The drinks lay forgotten on a nearby table. “Or are you really just that oblivious?”

This time, her laughter rang around the empty hallway.

“I'm anything but oblivious, babe. I'm fully aware of how much I turn you on.”

His response was a delicious growl at her ear that catalyzed a pleasant chill through her body. Lilac bit her lower lip and his heated gaze fell down to her lips through the mirror. Large, expert hands, meanwhile, brushed her hips as they moved upward. They reached the side of her breasts, fingers unabashedly delving under the fabric.

“You are so beautiful,” he whispered as he worked her.

Lilac whimpered, knees weak. The ministrations of his fingers, his fiery gaze on hers through the glass, and the risk of possibly being caught made her weak with dizzying pleasure. When he plucked lazily with his fingers, Lilac’s moan echoed around the hall.

“Someone will see us,” she whispered urgently.

Ethan let out a resigned sigh against her neck. With a pained look, he stopped his movements.

“You’re probably right.”

“Rain check?”

“Absolutely.”

Before Lilac could say anything else, he spun her to face him. Her lips ached for his, but instead of kissing her, he lowered himself to kneel before her. There was a devilish glint in his eye that made her body thrum for him.

“This is infinitely more compromising than what you were doing before.”

He didn’t respond. Instead, his hands delicately found their way under the silk of her skirt. Lilac watched him curiously, heart drumming against her chest.

His wandering fingers found the lace of her panties, thumbs hooking on the hem. With measured movements that were pure, blissful torture for her, he pulled them down.

“Those are mine,” she teased breathlessly, watching him stuff them in his trouser pocket. “They were expensive.”

“I know. I bought them for you.”

“So you’re taking them back.”

“Holding them,” he corrected, rising to his feet. In the golden glow of the hallway, he looked cool and casual— as though he hadn’t just claimed her panties as a souvenir. “You can get them back in our hotel room later. Call it an incentive to get the hell out of here as soon as possible.”

Note: Spoiler- she wants to get the hell out of there like yesterday but it’s 100000 xs more fun to watch this man suffer. He has to endure that party with his gf looking like a 15 out of ten and her panties in his pocket? 

He really thought he did something. 

But really, he played himself.

A lot of lobanovs pokemon have distinct personalities and my favorite has to be aurora his haxorus. He got haxorus from drayden as a present [she was already fully grown and probably level 60] when he was in the hosptical recovering from zekroms fusion bolt at ns castle. Shes like ... animal mother. Basically.

She IS older than him by many many years and DOES know better even for humans so the interations they have are really interesting and sweet. Shes like his therapy abimal too since he has a harness and a saddle for riding her if ahe goes on all 4s. Kind of like a wheelchair but if your wheelchair smelled like cave and goes rururururggggg rre at you and was alive.

Yes! Exactly what that last anon said! I had some other theories as to what ramattra’s plan is, like a mass ascension or some kind of hive mind entity, but the idea that he really doesn’t know what he’s doing is something I never really thought about(the story after a plot twist like that would be so cool). Also- the omnic factory in Australia theory is much kinder than the one I had, where zenyatta, who we know has reach some sort of enlightenment like Aurora, would sacrifice himself in the same way she originally did.

Oh, oh bold of you to assume that that theory still wouldn't lead to a sacrifice of some kind. Honestly if the story does end in a sacrifice similar to Aroura then I think the most likely candidates are Echo or Zenyatta. Like you said, Zenyatta seems to be on the same path as Aroura, even down to the travelling the world part. Echo on the other hand is Aroura's successor, Mina actively saying that she could surpass Aroura, not only that but Echo has the added part of having a Mina parallel in this scenario. That being Cassidy.

If there is a sacrifice I'm leaning more towards it being Zenyatta though.

All that aside I do think a twist that "Yes, Talon are still the main villain, Ramattra was just a pawn", because I do think it would fit with what we have been presented with his character. It would also be a good callback to his short story. Where he refused to listen to the other NS founders. It would also fit the theme of "isolation = very very bad".

But the idea of Overwatch asking him why he's erasing Omnic souls and Ramattra just stopping and going "I'm doing WHAT NOW-"

Like imagine the story from there? Cause I doubt he'd be able to stop them, like he tries to stop all the drones but it doesn't work and Ramattra fully realizes how badly he fucked up. Which would most likely lead to a very uneasy team up to stop Talon.

The character dynamics that would come out of that too, like wtf do you do when you find out what you thought was the big bad was just the pawn of the organization you have been fighting for decades-
