To then, finally get a copy of the Two Towers and not only is Boromir dead on page two but his fight occurs entirely “off screen.” His final act summed up in a few sentences of dialogue he shares with Aragorn?”

Which yeah. This would all suck.

But then this statement is followed up by “you would probably just destroy the book. This would be like if BrandoSando killed Moash sans redemption in an off screen scene on page 2(!!) of Knights of Wind and Truth. Like. EEEK! I AM SO SORRY!!! this took a while 2 answer cuz i wrote a whole frickin ESSAY! i guess thats what happens when u ask tumblr user klavery 2 talk about klavery, lol.... ANYWAYS,

ok ok omg... firstly i want 2 warn that i clearly take them wayy too seriously and romanticize the fuck out of them and its rly embarrassing bcuz they are stupid but i am just too gone 4 them at this point so 😊👍

SO LIKE!!! avery being aspec + autistic in my minds eye affects pretty much everything abt their relationship 2 romance & dating & stuff... so that & the fact theyre like a dorky awkward nerd to me makes them pretty passive & nervous abt romance stuff, at least at first! avery seems like they could b the suave confident type when it comes 2 romance, which is the kind of person i think their character develops into once they get the hang of it (still a silly dork tho OF COURSE). that being said, in the beginning, avery wasnt usually the one to initiate things often! klara was his first everything... his first crush, his first kiss, everything like that (as opposed to klaras like, 20 exes, lol) so he was kind of inexperienced XP

So let's assume countries could see HP magic, just not always do it themselves. And i would hope they know about their magical governmwnts except maybe America who is in denial. Actually maybe Germany doesn't know either but you canMt tell me the Nordics don't know about theirs, not when Norway is right there and Iceland literally has A TALKING BIRD and can probably dk magic if he wanted to and Sweden is up in the air (i like the headcanon he's very much in need of a new glasses prescription) but i want to say he does because finland + isn't durnatrang somewhere up there and potentially in Sweden? quick overview on kidd’s family. He was born in chicago to a young couple who were absolutly not prepared for a baby, and while he keeps in contact with his birth parents and has a good relationships with them, he was adopted by a family friend of theirs and her husband, his parents. He grew up in brattleboro, vermont, which is like. a tiny artsy city. and was homeschooled for most of his childhood. With the exception of his sister, Pauline, who was 15 when he was born, all of his siblings were already moved out by the time he was born. His older brother, Zachary, was already 25, and his sisters Daphne and Mari were 22. Needless to say, his growing up was slightly unconventional. He’s close with all of his siblings, but no one was really planning his adoption, it came up suddenly, so he didn’t really grow up with a typical sibling relationship with any of them. They do, however, all adore him and everything he does and are bascially his support system forever.

Starting with upper corner left, Daphne is one half of the twins. Her and Mari are the only siblings that share both biological parents. She’s the only single sibling, and isn’t really looking for a boyfriend atm. She’d like to eventually get married some day, but she’s taking her time with it. She works in education, a principal of a local alternative school. She still lives in vermont.

In the upper right corner, Mari is the other half of the twins. She’s probably my fave sibling after kidd, i adore her. she’s super motherly, and works as an art history professor at a university in mass. Her wife, clementine, and her met in highschool and have been together over 20 years. Clementine is a trans woman and has only been out for a few years at this point, so she’s still settling into it. Mari, who never viewed herself as queer before clem came out, has settled pretty easily into it, and couldnt be prouder. They have two kids together, who are elementary school aged.

moving downwards, Zachary is the oldest sibling. He shares the same bio father as mari and Daphne, a child of a previous marriage before their parents got together. He’s continously in academia, going back to school as often as possible, and works as a philosophy professor. His partner, Paolo, and him have been together for quite some time, and he is almost constantly worried about the rest of his siblings, kidd in particular. When kidd first came out as trans, he in fact, relocated to be closer because of how much he stresses out about his safety. He’s a good guy, but gets very nervous very fast.

next, Pauline, or Paul, is the second youngest sibling, and is also adopted. Her mother was also a close friend of the family, and after she was injured severly, pauline came to live with the main family as a small child. She’s very positive, and is a novelist, mostly writing ‘cozy mysteries’ and other paperbacks. Her fiance, Koda, is a trans man, and she actually met him when trying to find trans resources in the community when kidd first came out. She’s currently pregnant with their first kid.

obv, Kidd is the youngest. he’s hyperaware of his status of the babiest of baby siblings, and doesnt mind it. He’s always a bit behind, but he cares a lot about the rest of his family. While you couldnt pay him to live in vermont again, he does love a lot about his upbringing.

Thank you so much for asking about the use of 'narcissism' on that aita post. I've had the same question for like two years now but am too afraid to ask, and most discussion of it I've seen ended like how that person talked to you--ending by blaming you somehow and saying you were taking their words in bad faith, when really the term narcissist is older than the diagnosis and, as you pointed out, really isn't different than describing someone as antisocial or paranoid. I think it is different than calling someone autistic or cancerous bc those are medical issues USED as insults, not insults that were then used to DESCRIBE patients (which is the real issue, imo, people are putting the cart before the horse here). Anyways sorry for the long ask, I'm autistic myself and have been wondering forever about this and have never been brave enough to ask outright.

That doesn't absolve modern people of the responsibility to not make the stigma against these disorders worse. Everybody knows the word predates the disorder, but people with NPD have repeatedly stated that its continued use as an insult stigmatizes their disorder.

The OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) in FF7

This thing actually caught my eyes while reading a few theory about FF7R and the word OCD appear in their certain analysis, in IG, youtube comments and some posts in tumblr too. Dunno why but they always relate Biggs with OCD. I looked back to the scenes where Biggs appear and... Okay, i understand why they thinj Biggs has OCD or perfectionist

A lot of people, including the psych students themselves easily confused with OCD and perfectionist (I got confused by it quite often too). Now, is Biggs OCD or is he just a perfectionist? Let's take a deeper look at it

Biggs is not a famous character. So fans dont really care about him, but I do

Disclaimer : i'm not a psychologist. Im an intern and still studying. Psychiatric is not my major field but i got assigned there as an intern for quite a time and we got exposed a lot about psychology too. We didnt learn them professionally like the real psyche students, we learned (and still under training) through real life experience + a little bit from the books.

So there might be wrong interpretation here and there. Pls correct me if I'm misleading u. And pardon my english. Pls dont use any of these terms to diagnose urself. Remember, I'm a student, not a professional.

I kins of blame the social media for portraying OCD in such a nasty way, when someone with OCD is actually suffering inside.

OCD is not just about 'clean clean, must clean this place till squeaky clean' and OCD is not about being perfectionist. OCD and perfectionist are two different thing.

Perfectionist is more to a demand demeanour, eg "I want the cake to be like this. I want it to be pink. No, not that pink, it must be neon pink with slight purple. Do it again. No, i dont want that pink. Do it again. Ahhh yess, nice pink." Someone with perfectionist, after they got their result, they will immediately bcome calm and satisfied. Perfectionist is obviously different from OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder). OCPD falls under Personality Disorder and it is different from OCD. Im not going to talk about that

Look at how OCD got spoken from the media perspective. It is very much resemble to Biggs, dont u think? In reality, someone with OCD always feel stress about everything around them, and they will find it hard to complete their task.

OCD has two components - Obsessive and Compulsive

| 1. Obsessive. It is a repeating thoughts about something and often occur until it makes someone feel stress about it. Eg, u think that ur hand will get bacteria infection if u touch a chair, door, fridge or when holding someone's hand. This thought always appear in ur mind everytime u touch the door, chair, fridge or somebody's hand, but when u touch ur shoes, u never think about the bacteria (in certain cases, some patients become scare of everything they touch)

| 2. Compulsive. It is a repeating of the same actions to fulfill the 'obsession' in order to reduce the stress acted upon them. Usually the 'action' has a specific ways in which the patient believe he has to do it like this or that way or else he will fail. Eg, after touching the chair, he will immediately wash his hand 10x from left to right. He believes the hand washing wont be effective if he starts from right to left

Another sign of OCD is when someone re-checking the door lock few times. Its normal for us to re-check once/twice the door lock for confirmation, but for people with OCD, they will re-check the door lock for about 6-10 times and still not feel satisfied and later they stress out. And also the OCD people, they tend to get annoyed when something is not in particular order and they will immediately fix it eventhough they know they're wrong.

I met a funny woman at the hosp arranging our students' books according to its thickness, when I asked her why did she arranged our books like that,

She replied : "Doctor said I have CDO"

Me : "Sorry, CDO? Never heard of it"

She : "It is actually OCD but I feel so stress hearing that term so I put it in alphabetical order. CDO, much better"

We both had a good laugh. Her case was not serious though, but she was feeling miserable with her thoughts and decided to meet a psychiatrist. I would say she was still in early stage for someone with OCD, but may lead to severe if left untreated

It is really hard to satisfy and convince someone with OCD and they always feel stress about something they shouldnt care too much about. U can say OCD is a fastidious type, and they're actually more than that

If we want to relate this condition with Bigg's case., urmm. The only time where I can spot him being different than the other characters is when he's busy sweeping his front house and when he pat Cloud's head during the Sector 7 plate fall.

The cleaning stuff isnt exactly weird thing for a human to do. But it is something odd, I mean, he just finished his mission with Jessie and survived a jump from the plate, and yet he still have the energy to sweep dry leaves, AT NIGHT! He can wait till tomorrow though and should get himself a proper rest.

Wedge says Biggs has a habit of overthinking stuff

And there we see Biggs sweeping the dry leaves. It might be because he is trying to distract himself from doing his bad habit - overthinking. But urm , i think there'll be higher chance for someone to overthink when doing house chore like Biggs is doing. This is where lots of people say Biggs cleaning the house at night is bcause he has OCD or he's a perfectionist.

But I dont think thats the case. For real, he is completely normal. No sign of him acting weird in that scene. If he really does have OCD or he's a perfectionist, we'll see more of him arguing with Barret about unnecessary stuff. He cant become one of Avalanche's strongest member (not exactly strong, but hey, he's trustworthy). Also, if u notice, Biggs have one earring on his right ear. Someone with OCD will feel irritated by it bcause his ear doesnt look 'balance'. OCD people, even in mild case, they want everything about them to be balance and in good order.

After trying to understand Biggs way of thinking and style through his short screentime, I strongly believe this guy has no such thing as OCD or being a perfectionist. Biggs just cares tooooo much about his friends, he thinks 10 times ahead from the bigger picture in which it frightens him about the bad consequences that will occur to people he cherish.

He is the type that always have a back up plan in his mind. He thinks of 5 possible bad things and comes out with 10 solutions. That's the power of an overthinker like Biggs I'll tell ya

Biggs probably cleaning his front house area at night bcause the next early morning, he will need to leave his house for the bombing mission. Better take care of things the night before the big day. He can ditch the cleaning work but he wont do it, not bcause he's a perfectionist/OCD, but try to imagine this, if ur front house is full with dry leaves and rubbish, it will be unpleasant for the neighbours next to ur house to see. Living in the slum means higher chance for u to get sick if u dont take care of ur surrounding hygiene. Biggs is a kind man, and I believe he doesnt want to upset his neighbours

He probably has overthink this matter like "If i dont do this now, I probably dont have time for doing it tomorrow. Maybe I'll broke my leg from the mission and this trash will be left untouched, then there'll be high chance for the children around here to get sick. What if they get infectious disease bcause of this dry leaves? And then the parents will be worried and the Sector 7 Slum will be in chaos etc etc. Time for plan A. Let's clean this place"

Besides, remember the post where I mentioned about Mental Health First Aid? Biggs, as the side character gives the best MFA to Cloud even without knowing what Cloud had gone through. Biggs is just toooo kind with his friends, he cares too much causing him to overthinks about his friends conditions. He can notice even the slightest change in his friend's behaviour and with his own instinct, he cheers for them

Aww man, how can u not love his personality? He's the sweetest side character ever (and kinda hot too).

Soo as the conclusion for my post here, Biggs does not have OCD. He's a side character with a big heart who cares tooooooo deeply about his friends that leads him to overthink too much.

However, if the devs say Biggs really has OCD then my statement about him will be invalid. I'm sure they have put everything in a very close detail look.

Btw, I personally think Biggs kind of portrays the other small side of Cloud, the overthinking part for their romantic partner. But Biggs express his worry through words while Cloud express it through his actions, eg - like how he always keep an eye on Tifa. He never speak it directly like "I'm worry about Tifa, I must help her", he just simply be with her either she needs a help or not. While Biggs clearly says "Jessie been acting weird, I should go if she needs any - help -"

Action speaks louder than words but sometimes our eyes failed to listen.

the farther to the left my politics go the higher my standards are and the less i trust most of my already-established friends, and the less friends i have.

i dont know if venting about it will make it worse or better but i’m doing it anyway because i’m reckless.

i don’t hardly talk to anyone save for like once a month outside of school nowadays and even then its like.. two people.

i have more friends than that but i don’t fully trust them yknow? and then theres people i could be friends with but i just dont want to put in the effort that comes along with it and then there’s friends who were alright but i fell out of touch with because i had a partner a while ago and i just tunnel visioned and then when we broke up (which i’m still not completely over which does NOT help) i realized that i hardly talked to anyone else at that point.

i kind of just. go around checking twitter and tumblr and waiting for youtubers and streamers to make content so i can watch them. i do still talk with people on discord but like.. you know. and like i have tumblr and twitter mutuals but we dont really talk yknow. 90% of them i cant even remember why we’re mutuals. btw mutuals if you’re reading this hi i appreciate you you’re obviously cool cause if you werent i wouldnt be following you i think.

i’m also very very touch starved. it’s bad just trust me. i’ve got Pretty Much no one to fall back on but myself. i get upset when i check tumblr notes to find no one leaves any comments because that’s like, a major source of me socially interacting with people, even if i don’t say anything back. it’s people talking about something i did which is good.

oh and one of my two friends is a dream stan and i plan to break the news to him after thursday because he has work until then and im scared of how he’ll take it because he doesn’t like talking “politics” and i dont know what is considered politics or not to him.

i have to admit idg people now trying to argue that compulsory heterosexuality doesnt exist because, idk, they’re annoyed at people on tumblr are misusing it? i think the most concise phrasing rich uses to define it is this:

"the enforcement of heterosexuality for women as a means of assuring male right of physical, economical, and emotional access.”

like... i don’t really know how you can argue that this is somehow not a thing, even if you disagree with the exact way rich explains it. if we can all agree that socialization starts at birth and that it affects you in various ways throughout your life, that gendered socialization in our society necessarily entails an expectation of heterosexuality particularly in women due to (various things about keeping women an oppressed and exploited class), that gendered messaging comes at us in various ways, through direct interaction with individuals, through culture, through forms of media, etc., and that these embedded messages shape our view of ourselves and our possible futures, thus encouraging women to view heterosexual partnership as the only or only valid way to live, making women believe that they are and must always be sexually available to men, etc... then... uh... that’s compulsory heterosexuality. you don’t have to agree with the idea of the “lesbian continuum” (i don’t) or any of the other weird or modern-day-questionable stuff rich says to understand what compulsory heterosexuality is.

i also find it bizarre to see lesbians who have “always known” arguing against compulsory heterosexuality and its effects, like “it didn’t affect me so how can it be real.” is that not the same argument as like... women who are like “well i don’t like pink so that means, uhhhhhh, gendered socialization isn’t real because it didn’t program me into a frilly girly-girl, Checkmate Feminists.” just because it didn’t change your mind about yourself or guide you down a harmful path doesn’t mean it wasn’t impacting you, or that you didn’t struggle against it, or something. i guess i understand this reaction as a defensive position against people who are trying to sneak into the category lesbian around the back way (”teehee my comphet crush on hozier uwuuuuu”), but i don’t understand how you can hold it as a critical position when thinking analytically.

and, i mean, if we’re going to argue that in order to be a Real True Blue Lesbian you have to Have Always Known It In Ur Heart and Never Gazed Upon A Man (i’m not trying to start gold star discourse here, i AM a gold star, don’t jump on me for this), then you’re going to have to throw out 99.999999999999999999% of women in history as candidates for lesbian foremothers, because conditions have often been such that even if women weren’t forced into partnership with men by having their arm physically twisted, they could be forced by severe economic hardship, familial or social pressure, etc. not every woman was like, a rich landowner like anne lister (who DID have early courtships with men btw, prior to realizing that she was a lesbian!) who could afford to remain unmarried and was of a social class such that she could be masculine and partner with a woman and have that just be fine.

Requests are always welcomed Anon! BTW, I answered this before going to bed last night but then tumblr got wonky on me and then my computer had a little rebellion and the tumblr app ate my answer. Now I get why people always complain about this half-functioning website.

- Severus Snape wasn’t pouting. He was frowning, and glaring, but definitely not pouting. 

-  Minerva all but stuck him in his chair and while the others were sitting in their own chairs with tea, giving off the cozy and relaxing atmosphere, Severus was not fooled. 

- It started normal enough, they had a meeting, he drank some water(no, it wasn’t alcohol, Pomona) and apparently that’s when they saw.

- He felt eyes on him for the rest of the meeting and here they were now. Asking about his health and well-being as if they hadn’t hexed him to stay put. At least they were polite enough not to physically bind him.

- Severus was always careful in everything he did, every move was measured, every word was precise, in a profession where one mistake may cost him his life and the life of others, he was always, always, careful.

- Which really made him more annoyed with himself when he forgot a damn hickey on the side of his neck.

- It was hidden enough on his collar, if he didn’t tilted his head up to drink, if he hadn’t loosened the cravat he wore, they wouldn’t be even having this conversation.

- Of course, his esteemed colleagues had to assume the worst. It was almost insulting.

- Filius cast finite on him and the marks on his neck multiplied. Severus wanted nothing more than for the ground to open up and swallow him whole.

- He assured them that his partner wasn’t hurting him outside the bedroom if they knew what he meant.

- Filius then proceeded to list off charms and counter curses to escaping...certain activities that required a level of trust, if Severus knew what he meant.

- Severus wasn’t into those things but every word that escaped his mouth just dug him deeper and the longer Filius kept talking, the more and more Severus was filled with fascinated horror.

- Pomona took pity on him and wanted Severus to give his word that it was all good and he wasn’t getting hurt. Severus rolled his eyes but assured her.

- Minerva stared at him for quite a long time, seemingly lost in memories, analysing him and trying to read past his masks.

- Albus thankfully came in and Severus almost smiled at his rescue.

- But Albus only grilled him further. Honestly, all this for a hickey!

- Albus wrangled an address where Severus and his partner met and did their business and Severus had to stop them from flooing there immediately.

- Filius remarked upon an amazing tracking charm he’s been improving.

- Pomona said something about sending a gift, something to warm up their abode. When Severus said that hadn’t gone there yet, Pomona’s eyes glinted and said something about sending a certain plant to those who hurt her friends. If they hurt her friends. 

- Minerva remarked that it was fairly easy to transfigure a human to a mouse.

- Severus implored Albus to rein in his staff but the Headmaster was just smiling at him, undisturbed by his staff’s sudden madness and penchant for violence.

- Severus remarked that he was a grown man and can take care of himself. The looks he got surely meant they didn’t believe him. But Pomona said that they practically watched him grow up and being the youngest among their ranks, they were a bit protective of him. Severus was touched though he would never admit it.

- Severus hastily made a retreat once he was free. They need to have a talk and add protection charms and privacy wards. There were also things Filius said that Severus was interested in exploring. They would just have to be more careful.

“All this for a hickey?”

“All this to make sure you’re safe, Severus.”

In case you were asking for real (and in case you can still see this), here goes mine:

Because "CC believers" take to any outlet they can to directly harrass Darren and Chris and their friends and family. That's where we inevitably see your conspiracy theories and their harmful effects.

On a small scale, this hinders my fandom experience.

On a much larger scale, these people are spreading misogyny, homophobia and transphobia among other nasty things. This isn't about anyone "believing" anything about Darren (people who are not conspiracy theorists simply accept what he tells us about his own private personal life because why the hell wouldn't we? It's his business).

I know what you're going to say: "I have never addressed the actors directly on social media" and "not ALL ccers" etc

It doesn't matter. CCers who don't tweet hate at people still foster those attitudes here on tumblr and do so in the hopes of roping more people into it. You believing whatever doesn't concern us until you start acting on those beliefs to the detriment of others.

You've possibly never posted a single hateful word and simply delight in reading RPF and daydreaming. In that case, anti-CT posts are not for you, they are for the people who promote the terrible attitudes I mentioned. But you asked why some people were bothered by what CCers say, so I took it to mean you were asking fans. If you wanted to know instead why “Miarren stans” send CCers insults, then sorry for butting in :P (I don’t know any Miarren stans, I can’t answer for them). Tbh that practice seems to me like old, nasty ship wars and it’s something usually both sides feed (though I can’t really offer input in, as I don’t partake in RPS, nor do I stan anyone. I don’t endorse these practices and generally disencourage shippers from behaving like this).

CCers could also take their own advice: If they’re so sure Darren goes home to Chris every night, they could relish in that certainty without the need to use their public blogs to throw insults at their fave’s female partner (including whore and alcoholic, which btw gives you a glimpse into what kind of people they are), who they have CHOSEN to assign the role of villain to in their theories out of entirely subjectively disliking her. What they are certain are mere “PR stunts” shouldn’t ultimately bother them. But they want to hate Mia more than they want to just believe Darren and Chris are holding hands out there somewhere. They’re not the only ones. It’s a defining trait in tinhats across fandoms (Supernatural, Outlander, One Direction, Prince Harry, Twilight, Benedict Cumberbatch, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and sadly so many others - you’ll find they use practically the same arguments, lore, “evidence” and insults).

And it’s nice that you say that proven wrong you’d just accept it. It is. Problem is I don’t know what you guys think will prove you wrong if from the very beginning Darren outright said specifically who he was and you decided he was lying. After that, there really is nothing he could ever say with his own mouth or otherwise that would prove you wrong. The words “Chris and I are not dating” have been uttered. Clearly a wedding doesn’t do it for you (it only makes your theories all the more convulted and outlandish). I know for sure that having kids wouldn’t prove it to you either (see those other fandoms for fake baby theories). Your reasons for dismissing his words are 0% objective. Because you think their wedding attires were awful? Plenty of people without bias would agree and plenty would disagree. I fail to see how one’s personal taste in fashion is confirmation of anything. You want to take snapshots, moments in time, in which Darren is being photographed with neutral expressions while going about his business and call them proof? Still being 0% objective, because you are adding your own (wild) interpretations to them (not to mention if people simply walked down the street with a smile on their face, they would look deranged). And with those methods you could “prove” myriad ridiculous statements. There already is a compilation of Darren looking miserable while holding instruments and you haven’t said he hates music. There is a compilation of Lea Michele and Chris Colfer looking and acting and posing like actual lovers. Why aren’t we stating that they are in love as if it were a fact? This could be endless. Whether you think somebody has chemistry or not is ultimately just that, an opinion. Opinions are not facts. You personally hating the color yellow doesn’t make the color yellow universally shit. So, while you may label the wedding as “trashy” and think “well, if it was trashy, it must be fake,” there actually are people out there who thought it looked great. And you would both be correct in your assessments, because they are opinions. The things is, neither opinion has any correlation to the veracity of the event. Zero.

If someone you don't even know personally one day tells you something about themselves like "So my favourite color is yellow" and you go "Fine. Good for you, I guess," instead of deciding it's a lie and then trying to cling on to anything that could however remotely back up your already solidified conclusion, you'd probably be less stressed out whenever they wore yellow sneakers.

There are plenty of contexts in which skepticism is vital, but people’s sexual orientations are not it. And battling homophobia is very important, but making an unwilling participant your champion for it is completely inappropriate. CCers keep talking about how outing someone is bad. But are their blogs not an effort in doing exactly that? If all they wanted to do was vent amongst themselves, they would have passworded these blogs. But they’ve been trying to make these conspiracy theories spread for ages, because that is what conspiracy theorists do.
