On September 12, just south of the Arctic Circle, stones of Iceland's modern Arctic Henge point skyward. During a geomagnetic storm, the northern lights appear across the darkened sky while a stunning fireball meteor explodes. The trail was seen for minutes wafting in the upper atmosphere at altitudes of 60 to 90 kilometers along with the auroral glow.

Anyway, been thinking about Meteors in between book stuff and here's an idea.

Cassie goes back to school for the new term and Roxy doesn't really know what to do with herself cause her sister isn't here anymore and what do mean you have to work all day and they give you more when you get home??

Like yeah, as a kids entertainer she's been asked to help and offered to help with homework before but like. She never really thought about it before Cassie comes home with it. Sad dog noises of sympathy :(

Bonus: Cassie jokes she can do it for her if she's that upset about it and suddenly Roxy gets thoughtful. She goes quiet, considers it, then says she'll do it for her. Cassie is understandably confused and tries to backtrack because it was a joke but Roxy already has it in her paws and is already walking away.

She comes back half an hour later looking like she wants to kill someone but also like she's about to burst into tears. Why? Because she doesn't have any idea what this is and despite attempts to figure out what she has to do, nothinng is right and she feel it and its both pissing her off and making her feel like an idiot. Cassie completes the homework and tries explaining it but a realisation hits her that of course Roxy would struggle with it. She's never been to school and she's never been taught anything! There isn't a built in calculator in her brain anymore. The dictionary and thesaurus is gone too while only the most used languages have remained.

And thus, Cassie's dad (who I'm settled on calling Eddie cause it's stuck now), leaves his office/workshop to find Cassie walking Roxy through basic math while she looks up handwriting practice sheets on the internet.

The meteor shower depicted in this photo the 2022 Leonids which peaked in early November, and the view is from Hainan, China looking out over the South China Sea. Meteor streaks captured over a few hours were isolated and added to a foreground image recorded earlier. From this place and time, Leonid meteors that trace back to the constellation of Leo were seen streaking across other constellations including Orion. The bright red planet Mars appears near the top of the image.

The best way to watch a meteor shower is to find a comfy place that you can monitor a large area of the night sky!

making up a guy to get mad at can actually be really lovely and rewarding like for example i was feeling understimulated so i crafted an alternate world where moby dick was super popular on tumblr and the most popular ship from moby dick was ahab x humanized whaleboy merguy moby dick who was always drawn as like a skinny little white guy with white hair and sharp teeth and sort of unusual eyes like maybe with black scleras or something. and it was literally inescapable and people made like hannigram aus where will was ahab and hannibal was moby dick and people also made human!boatless!modern! aus of ahab x moby dick where they were just like normal guys as well. and the moby dick fandom all thought they were so cool and countercultural because melville's unfinished novella billy budd was also really popular and the billy budd fans were at odds with the moby dick fans because billy budd fans described it as like a heartfelt queer story in comparison to moby dick being toxic and soulless (because ahab was trying to kill moby dick in canon) and moby dick fans described billy budd as basically steven universe but none of this ended up mattering because in four years the meteors came and all life on earth was lost
