Grammy–winning singer, songwriter, and musician Molly Tuttle and her band, Golden Highway, will release their new album, City of Gold, July 21, on Nonesuch. You can pre-order and hear the track “El Dorado” now here.
Produced by Tuttle and Jerry Douglas and recorded in Nashville, City of Gold was inspired by Tuttle’s near constant touring with Golden Highway—fiddler Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, mandolinist Dominick Leslie, bassist Shelby Means, and banjo player Kyle Tuttle—and their growth together as musicians and performers, cohering as a band. These 13 tracks, mostly written by Tuttle and Ketch Secor (Old Crow Medicine Show), capture the electric energy of the band’s live shows by highlighting each members’ musical strengths. City of Gold also features special guest Dave Matthews on the song “Yosemite.”

I think it would be such a cool dynamic between Rhea, Dominick, and a returning Buddy.
Like Rhea & Buddy are a couple and Dominick and Buddy were rivals/partners for a bit (Buddy was kinda dating Dominick’s sister)
So if they really wanted to they could do some weird love triangle between the three of them
Also Buddy would be a good fit for Judgement Day TBH

Serge Raoul, the SoHo bistro icon who ran Raoul’s, passed away yesterday at the age of 86.
I figured that Griffin Dunne had a few stories about him, and I was correct!
Raoul’s was the location used in the infamous roach scene in Dunne’s feature directorial debut, ADDICTED TO LOVE (1997). The scene has an amazing cameo with Griff’s father, writer Dominick Dunne.
The caption reads:
Serge Raul died after a life well lived at the age of 86. I was a regular at his restaurant in Soho (fittingly called Raul's.) To my amazement, he let me shoot a scene in “Addicted to Love" where Meg Ryan released dozens of cockroaches to ruin her ex-boyfriend's restaurant when a food critic is there to review it. We hired "roach wranglers" to capture them tho I fear a few got away. In this pic I am putting a drugged water bug glued to a spoon up to my father's face who is playing the food critic. He said that during the take when he had to put the spoon in his mouth, the bug woke up and he could feel its tentacles tickle his palate. My dad was a trouper.

Album Review: Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway - City of Gold
There’s some good listening to be had on City of Gold despite the lack of inspired and original songwriting.
The latest from Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway - guitarist-singer Tuttle, fiddler Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, mandolinist Dominick Leslie, bassist Shelby Means and banjo picker Kyle Tuttle - features virtuosic bluegrass playing and singing, a guest spot from Dave Matthews and solid production from Tuttle and Jerry Douglas.
But Tuttle and co-writer Ketch Secor (Old Crow Medicine Show) too often borrow melodies from others, as with “When My Race is Run” (“I Shall be Released”), “More Like a River” (“Buckets of Rain”) and “Goodbye Mary” (“Find the Cost of Freedom”); wallow in cliché as on “Next Rodeo;” create sequels like “Alice in the Bluegrass” to accompany Tuttle’s fondness for covering “White Rabbit;” or get a little too rambunctious for the song’s own good as on “Down Home Dispensary.”
Hello, legislator, the voters have spoken/there’s too much politicin’ and not enough tokin’, Tuttle sings on the warp-speed novelty track.
Through sheer talent - and stronger tracks like “El Dorado” - Tuttle & Golden Highway will City of Gold to work. But the source material is lacking sparkle.
Grade card: Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway - City of Gold - C+

EVENT : emergency lockdown
With the island still under attack, all civilians (students, faculty, and island residents) have been assigned a location on the island to shelter in. Location assignments have been sent to each phone. Characters receive only their own assignments, not the entire list.
Most guards have been summoned to fight the attackers; a handful of NPC guards have been assigned to find and deliver lost civilians to their assigned shelters; all player character guards have received orders to collect supplies from designated emergency locations and proceed to an assigned shelter to protect civilians. Guards assigned to the shelters have a list of all civilians assigned to their shelter and are expected to check each of them off on arrival.
Another explosion has left half of the dormitory building collapsed, and the other half quickly following. Characters may have been in the building when it collapsed, and escape plots/injury plots are allowed!
The island is under attack by Delphine Delecaille. While the protections were down, Delphine and many of her people made it onto the island. Among the attackers is a massive purple dragon--characters may witness the dragon flying over the island, breathing fire, but should not come up against it. They may, however, encounter as many NPC attackers of various species as you please on their way to their shelter. Characters can fight and kill NPC attackers without consulting the main and without fear of consequences!
Speaking of journeys to their shelters, your character may take any roundabout journey you like to arrive there, so long as they do, eventually, arrive there. Late arrivals are allowed. Characters may spend up to two (2) days outside of the shelter. After they arrive at the shelter, they will not be allowed out, though characters with teleportation will not be bound.
Characters will not be allowed into shelters they are not assigned to, even in the name of staying with their loved ones assigned there.
While the island is under attack, cell phones on the island are misbehaving. Texts and calls are failing 9 out of 10 times.
The protective spells have been restored, but the binding spell in particular is acting up. Bound slaves may find they have access to their powers in short spurts of up to ten or fifteen minutes at a time.
Keep your eyes peeled for plot drops throughout the event!
Lockdown locations & assignments are under the cut.

Hello and welcome to my rules! Please read these before interacting with my blog!
Highly selective , Mutuals only!
This is a +18 / +21 blog. Mature and Dark themes will be present. Dark themes can be a part of the characters backstory, and can be explored in threads but I never go too far with them and expect the same from partners.
Triggers are: rape, dubcon, incest/stepcest, anything taboo, ddlg or anything like that, extreme gore etc.
Genres present here: Crime, Supernatural, Dystopian, Fantasy, Historical. Historical and Fantasy plots are carried out in my side blog!
I will not write with muses or muns under 21.
Reblog from source.
Don't like my starters.
Interaction
While this blog is listed as mutuals only, I do reach out to non-mutuals, and I answer open starters etc.
I will not follow back unless we've had some sort of interaction. I usually follow back after we've written for a bit.
Ways of interaction: Answer an open starter, send a meme, or message!
Threads
Thread cap: 5
Any disrespect of my rules will get you either soft blocked or hard blocked.
This is not a smut blog. While smut is present here, it's not that important to me. I care more about writing plots, developing character relationships etc. I am completely okay with fading to black / skipping those scenes.
Ships
My muses' sexualities will not be changed.
I write fxf, fxm, fxnb, nbxnb etc. However, I am selective with MxM ships and will not write smut for them.
I love platonic plots as well as romantic ones. I find that side characters are important to plots, and wish to develop them as well as the main pairing.
Age gaps ships are a bit selective. None of our muses can be under 21, I would prefer if both were way above that actually. I'm open to discussion and plotting of course.
Don't use me for my males. I would prefer it if my partner is open to threads with my females and non binary muses as well.
Formatting
I'm not really picky on formatting but here are the main things
Cut your posts.
No large gifs or gifs from the gif finder.
All long as it's legible, we're good.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX and NASA on Sunday successfully launched their joint Crew-8 mission to the International Space Station from the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Together, NASA and SpaceX launched a crew of four to the ISS in the Dragon spacecraft, marking SpaceX’s eighth crew rotation mission to the ISS within NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. Sunday's launch was the third attempt, after it was scrubbed twice before because of bad weather.
Engineers determined that a small crack on the hatch seal wouldn't present enough of an issue to abort the launch, and the mission achieved liftoff at 10:53 p.m. Mission crew members on the ground cheered when the first-stage booster separated and Dragon proceeded toward space shortly before 11 p.m.
The NASA astronauts are commander Matthew Dominick, pilot Michael Barratt, mission specialist Jeanette Epps and Russian Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, who is also acting as mission specialist. It is the first mission to the ISS for all except Barratt, who is making his third visit.
The Dragon spacecraft was launched by the Falcon 9 rocket, which SpaceX describes as a “reusable, two-stage rocket,” making it the first reusable rocket of its kind. Once it detaches from Dragon, it will land at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The crew, set to return in the fall, will spend six months at the ISS. Days ago, administrators revealed they had found a small air leak at the space station.
“It’s not an impact to Crew-8, but I didn’t want anybody to be surprised,” ISS Program Manager Joel Montalbano said at a Crew-8 mission briefing. He said that managers don’t believe the leak will affect crew safety but that “teams are watching it.”
While aboard the ISS, often referred to as a “floating laboratory," the crew will perform more than 200 science experiments as part of the long-term mission to prepare humanity for long-term stays in space.
Some of the experiments include taking stem cells to space to study their effects on degenerative disease, as well as looking at the cellular impact of microgravity and ultraviolet radiation on plants, with hopes that plants can remain an increasingly important part of nourishment during such lengthy stays.
The crew will also experiment with pressure cuffs on legs to see whether they alleviate health problems, including fluid shifts in astronauts in space experiencing weightlessness. With no gravity on the ISS, fluids in the body tend to shift upward toward the head, which can cause health problems with eye and head pressure — something astronauts are all too familiar with.
Spirulina, often used in smoothies down on Earth, is also being sent to space on the Crew-8 mission. The astronauts look to see whether microalgae could help to remove CO₂ from the air, providing both food and oxygen for astronauts.
It has been a busy year for SpaceX, which undertook almost 100 launches within the past year.
Asked about the seemingly routine nature of the increasingly busy launch schedule, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson cautioned against letting guards down.
“Spaceflight is hard. Spaceflight is risky. ... You never want to get into the frame of mind that it is so routine,” he said. “Every time we launch, it’s white-knuckle time, and especially if humans are on top.”

Astronauts from NASA's Expedition 71 to conduct research aboard space station
Studies of neurological organoids, plant growth, and shifts in body fluids are among the scientific investigations that NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, Jeanette Epps, and Tracy C. Dyson will help support aboard the International Space Station as part of Expedition 71. The crew members are targeting launch to the space station in February and March.
Here are details on some of the work scheduled during this upcoming expedition aboard the microgravity laboratory.
Modeling neuroinflammation
Human Brain Organoid Models for Neurodegenerative Disease & Drug Discovery (HBOND) studies the mechanisms behind neuroinflammation, a common feature of neurodegenerative disorders. Researchers create organoids using patient-derived iPSCs (induced pluripotent stem cells) from patients who have Parkinson's disease and primary progressive multiple sclerosis.
The sixth space station organoid investigation, HBOND includes for the first time Alzheimer's iPSCs and testing of the effects of drugs in development to treat neuroinflammation. Results could help improve diagnostics, provide insights into the effects of aging, accelerate drug discovery, and identify therapeutic targets for patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases. The organoid models also could provide a way to anticipate how extended spaceflight affects the brain and support development of countermeasures.
Protecting plants from spaceflight stressors
Plants can serve as a source of food and provide other life-support services on long-term missions to the moon and Mars. The Study on Plant Responses Against the Stresses of Microgravity and High Ultraviolet Radiation in Space (Plant UV-B) examines how stress from microgravity, UV radiation, and the combination of the two affect plants at the molecular, cellular, and whole organism levels. Results could increase understanding of plant growth in space and support improvements in plant cultivation technologies for future missions.
Reversing fluid shifts
Weightlessness causes fluids in the body to move toward the head, which can cause changes in eye structure and vision known as Spaceflight Associated Neuro-ocular Syndrome (SANS) along with other health problems. Mitigating Headward Fluid Shifts with Veno-constrictive Thigh Cuffs During Spaceflight (Thigh Cuff) examines whether thigh pressure cuffs could provide a simple way to counter this shift in body fluids and help protect astronauts from SANS and other issues on future missions to the moon and Mars. Thigh cuffs also could help treat or prevent problems for patients on Earth who have conditions that cause fluid accumulation in the head, such as long-term bedrest and diseases.
Incredible edible algae
Arthrospira-C (Art-C), an investigation from ESA (European Space Agency) analyzes how the cyanobacterium Limnospira responds to spaceflight conditions and whether it produces the same quantity and quality of oxygen and biomass in space as on Earth. These microalgae, also known as Spirulina, could be used to remove carbon dioxide exhaled by astronauts, which can become toxic in an enclosed spacecraft, and to produce oxygen and fresh food as part of life support systems on future missions.
Correct predictions of oxygen and biomass yields are crucial for design of life support systems using bioprocesses. Spirulina also has been shown to have radioprotective properties and eating it could help protect space travelers from cosmic radiation, as well as conserve healthy tissue in patients undergoing radiation treatment on Earth.
