Dark Skin Directory
I did one of these for my sideblog BlackFemmeCharacterDependency (BFCD) and... While it’ll take longer on this end to do because there are more prominent figures here than on that one, I thought it would be good to also have one for my main...
EDIT: Okay, so the one that I did for BFCD does not work, so I am posting this one to see if it works, and if not, they’ll both be WIPS until I have the time to repair them

hey andrew!! hoping youre doing great today!! Who are your favorite dark skinned fcs? i need more people to love!
Thank You anon for requesting this list I had fun listing them and I’m glad you asked for it and I am glad I can help you. This list is in no particular order just the ones that came to my head as I went and the ones I had in my gif hunt tag, some of these may be the rpc definition of dark skin which is anyone darker than Michael B. Jordan but I had to put them on this list because the rpc really need to know people darker than Michael B. Jordan exist, cause with the way y’all covet light skin fcs, y'all act like they don’t. I will not put this under a read more. the rpc will look at it and acknowledge that people with darker skin exist and since I got a lot of this list from my gif hunt tag, best believe a majority of them have resources and the rest need resources to be made so you have no excuse not to use this list to your advantage and utilize it. If you’re like Andrew, don’t read the rpc while you’re helping them, that’s rude. I’m telling you, ignoring people with darker skin tones is also rude, so get over it. Y’all can do better. So do better.

The Summary
These are some of the famous Netflix series and shows that got cancelled in the year 2021. As mentioned above, the reasons behind the cancellation differ from series to series. However, you need not lose hope. Netflix still have amazing series coming up. Whatever genre you prefer, keep that in mind and start searching for them. This way you will surely end up finding the ones that will be suitable for you. If not Netflix, then you can check out IMDB. This is a platform where you can search for various shows and movies. While doing do, what you can do is check out the ratings. This way you will find out whether or not the show should be watched or not. IMDB shows new series ans shows that are released every week or month. Search for the one you want to watch and get started without any further ado.
We hope this piece has helped in understanding which and why the shows got cancelled. However, you need not worry about anything. There are a plethora of shows you will come across on this platform, and something or the other will surely be worth watching. Thus, do not wait further and make use of the time this lockdown. Do not let the cancellation and lockdown spoil your mood. Your mood will be cherished and who knows you find out facts you never thought could happen? Also, exploring various genres never goes waste. BDRPWriMo Task #21: 10+ Characters I’d Like To See
For task #21,  I always do a list of 10+ characters I have in my head that I’m considering playing, and then a second list of 10+ I want to see but don’t have muse for myself. But! This year I actually don’t have 10 of each, I only have like 3 characters in mind to eventually pickup so I’m gonna mention those and then my list of characters I really want to see!
Characters McKala Would Like To Play
1. Lyria - FC: Jodie Whittaker
Lyria is probably going to be my labors characters, or I may do the labors twice for a total of 12 if I can get to a good place mentally irl for 12. Or I gotta start killing people off muahaha. Anyway, I have a great story for Lyria and I can’t wait to bring her here!
Tumblr media
2. Paulette [Ho/Takei/Mirzadeh] FC: Maggie Q or Levy Tran; OR Ishihara Satomi OR Tala Ashe or Sarah Shahi or Laleh Pourkarim
So! Kit and I are talking about bringing the Bimbettes from Beauty and The Beast in eventually. I’ll be oldest sister Paulette, Kit is baby sis Laurette, and we just need middle sister Claudette! I’ll likely be getting Lyria first so this will be several months out. But I wanted to mention it here. This is the Google Doc where we’re started planning -- we have a cool story so far, we’d love a third sister to join us!
We have fc picked out we like equally for the sisters to be Iranian-French, Japanese-French, or Vietnamese-French. If we don’t get a bite in a month or so, we’ll settle on ethnicity ourselves no problem, but as of now we’ve got lots of options!
3.  Kidagakash “Kida” Nedakh -- FC: Jessica Mauboy or Aaradhna
I really like the idea of Kida’s fc being indigenous, especially Australia and Oceania indigenous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Characters Y’all Should Play - with a FC idea
Gaston and Art Framagucci (FC Suggestions: So many)
Look, this is 100% selfish but come play Franny’s 40-year-old-plus himbo big brothers! Some suggestions: Tom Ellis, Todd Grinnell, Tom Hiddleston, Tom Mison, Josh Duhamel, Richard Armitage, and John Krasinki.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tallulah Robinson (FC Suggestions: include Mary Kate Wiles, Alina Kovalenko, Kate Mara)
Join the Robinson fam ahhhh
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Olivia Da Silva (FC Suggestion: Marina Nery)
I made this skeleton woowoo! Come play an Avaloran character! A young sorceress honing her craft! Worldbuild Avalor with me, yaaaay! I put Brazilian-preferred on the skeleton for fc suggestions because the Avalor we’ve crafted in game is a bilingual society in South America with Portuguese and Spanish influence about equally. It’s not requiiired, like you can change her last name to be Spanish and not Portuguese, but!
Tumblr media
Professor Guadalupe “Lupe” Mendoza (FC Suggestions by Mckala: Gina Torres, Charo Bogarin, Jessica Alba, Velina Hsau Houston, Lana Parrilla)
COME PLAY A COOL AVALORAN WOOOO
Join me in Avalor world! Lupe Mendoza is so cooool, she’s a professor, a scholar, a genius, a really cool lady forced to flee Avalor because of the new dictatorship.
Tumblr media
Jasmine (FC Suggestions by Mckala: So Many. Including Claudia Doumit,  Njoud Al Shammari, Dalal Aldoub,  Adila Sedraïa, Sonita Alizadeh)
I’m honestly shook Jasmine’s not taken yet y’all! She’s a great character, you can go so many diff directions with her and HEL-LO worldbuilding!

This glorious stained glass was salvaged by the architect Howard Lawson from the tip site of a former Toorak mansion! Photo – Amelia Stanwix.
One night sometime in the 1990s a young couple named Heather and Jeremy went to a party at South Yarra’s Beverly Hills apartment complex. There was music, some fizz and a few Neighbours TV stars. Almost 30 years later, Heather and Jeremy would return to the same complex. But this time, as its newest residents!
The Beverly Hills apartments were designed by architect-builder Howard Lawson in 1935, who wanted to bring some of that 1930s Hollywood glamour and Spanish Mission style back to Melbourne. His idea was to create a place for communal living, where people could connect and live in close quarters.
“The apartments were built during the Depression-era and the ‘Whelan the Wrecker’ period, where lots of Toorak mansions were being torn down because people went broke,” explains Heather. “A lot of Beverly Hills is actually built from recycled brick and stuff Lawson salvaged from these demolition sites headed for the tip.”
Heather and Jeremy became reacquainted with the apartment complex around two years ago, when they were looking to downsize from the family home they previously shared with their two daughters, dog and cat for 20 years. “We’d joked for 20 years that we’d renovate and when we were finally a position to do so, the girls had grown up and we were ready for a new adventure,” says Heather.
“I Googled ‘older style apartments in Melbourne’ and an ad for this place came up, we took one look at each other and were like, yes,” she describes. It was the arched stained glass window that hooked them. “We knew we were in big trouble, we really wanted it and had to act quickly to make it happen.”
Now, after living in their apartment for the last year and half with their daughter Allie, Dougal the dog and Sugar the cat, Heather is dead serious (with a smirk) when she tells me: “I’m never moving again.”
Onto their good room, and Heather tells me “it’s THE room of the house”. The open-plan living dining area is very much in its original state, except for its colour – now a beautiful deep, dusky grey. “Choosing a colour was the hardest part because I knew we would be spending so much time here,” confesses Heather. The room is filled with the family’s treasures from their old home, including a much-loved Arite Kannavos abstract painting (given to Heather by her family as a birthday present), and a few new additions, including the Featherston lounge chair Heather found dirt cheap at an op shop, new lighting fixtures, and what she describes as her “first proper grown up couch” (a Mario Bellini for C&B Italia sofa) and floor-to-ceiling Italian ‘Grazie Zia’ vintage film poster.
But the ‘stuff’ isn’t really the reason why this room is so dear to Heather. She loves the character of this space, not to mention the seriously swoon-worthy views. “The first night we moved in, we took off the curtains and saw this view to the city all lit up, of course I cried,” she says of the moment she knew she was home.
Heather loves the neighbours too, and the feeling of belonging to this intimate community – she often leaves the windows open and chats to those passing by. “I garden lots too, and our friendships grew from hellos, to my name is, to swimming laps in the pool with each other in the mornings.” In Heather’s experience, Beverly Hills residents really care about each other, and the history and preservation of the complex itself.
Sitting in her ‘good room’ comfortably at ease, it’s easy to see Heather’s found her happy place. “This is the room where we come together – mostly the three of us – but I did manage to squeeze in 50 friends for my birthday party last year! It was tight but very good fun.” And in case you were wondering, no Neighbours stars were in attendance, instead just the good, real and regular live-next-door kind.

Just six minutes into the first episode of season 2 of Dear White People, we get a shot of something we rarely see on TV: a woman masturbating. Sam (Logan Browning) is getting down with herself in her dorm room and seemingly having a great time. But the moment quickly turns awkward when Sam's roommate, Joelle (Ashley Blaine Featherson) walks in and catches her in the act. Sam yelps, drops her shiny, silver vibrator, and demands to know why Joelle wasn't still at study group (study group was an hour ago and Sam had apparently been at it for a while).
Joelle kindly offers to never speak of this moment again, until she realizes why Sam was masturbating. Sam was just about to head to a film class where her ex Gabe (John Patrick Amedori) is the teacher's assistant. "Wait, were you pre-bating?" Joelle asks.
If you're perplexed by the term "pre-bating," that's okay, so was Sam. Joelle explains it as, "When you take care of yourself so you don't lose your mind in the company of problematic dick." Urban Dictionary has a slightly different definition: "Pre-bating is masturbating before an event or function. Think: There's Something About Mary." No matter the definition, if it's pre-date or before you plan to be around someone you shouldn't sleep with, the gist is that masturbating before a sexually-charged event can lower your libido so that you're more relaxed, clear-headed, and less likely to make unfortunate choices.
The logic is easy to follow, but is pre-bating actually helpful? It absolutely can be, says Megan Stubbs, PhD, a board-certified sexologist. Getting off, whether through sex or masturbation, has many benefits, and that can include helping you avoid sleeping with someone you shouldn't, or thinking about nothing but sex on a big date. "Masturbating does help stop you from craving that 'problematic dick' because then you're already satiated and you're more relaxed," Dr. Stubbs says. Having an orgasm can also give you a "warm, healthy glow" that could give you a nice boost before your date, too. (Hey, it can't hurt to be glowing.) Pre-bating can also help with your confidence. "If pre-bating makes a person feel more in control and confident, that leads to overall sexiness," says Laura Deitsch, DHS, resident sexologist with Vibrant. That's a great thing — if you're actually able to focus on something other than sex afterwards. Pre-bating to take your mind off sex does have the potential to backfire and turn you on even more, especially if you (like Sam) are thinking of the person you want to avoid having sex with while you're masturbating. So, Dr. Deitsch warns to "practice judiciously." You know your body better than anyone else, so use your best judgment.
Whether or not pre-bating is an effective strategy for you, Dr. Stubbs is happy to see female masturbation take center stage on television. "There's still the societal taboo that says, Well, men jerk off, but if women masturbate then we say, What's wrong? Why are you single? Are you lonely? Wouldn't you prefer a boyfriend?" she says. So, if you learn anything from Sam's experience, let it be that women do masturbate — and we pre-bate, too.

BDRPWriMo Task #21 -- A list of 10+ characters you’d like to see in the RP
Any fc ideas I put are ofc hypothetical lmao
SO HEEERE is a list of 10+ characters I selfishly want to see here! Yes a ton of the open Elena of Avalor characters are on the list but! That’s not all!
1. Olivia da Silva (fc suggestions by McKala: Marina Nery, Bruna Tenorio, Barbie Ferreira, Cierra Ramirez)
I tracked down a ton of Brazilian fcs with resources so you don’t even have to hunt! Below the list of Brazilian fcs, I also have non-Brazilian fcs listed.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
5. Aladdin! (fc suggestions by McKala: Derrick Monasterio, Toni Mahfud)
Y’all again! Think of the worldbuilding you’d get to do with Agrabah!
Tumblr media
6. Li Shang (fc suggestions by McKala: Shawn Dou, Lewis Tan, Osric Chau)
Y’all how do we not have all the Mulan characters yet??? But I would pay someone physical money for a Li Shang ahhhhh
Free URL for you - thetimes-theyare-ashangin
Tumblr media
7. Jafar (fc suggestions by McKala: JOHN ABRAHAM omfg, Omar Lofti, Adrian Pasdar)
Swynlake needs a new evil sorcerer! And it’s a chance to do some cool worlbuilding for Agrabah, like Team Avalor’s done with Avalor!
Tumblr media
8. Star Butterfly (fc suggestions by McKala: Prilly Latuconsina, Kiana Lede, Rola, Liza Koshy, Normani Kordei, Anastasia Tsilimpiou, Zara Larsson)
Y’all, again. The worldbuilding! Potential! Here! you can make her a magical princess from a another dimension how DOPE
Tumblr media
9. Alonso Cordoba (fc suggestions by McKala: Taylor Zakhar, Diego Tinoco, Maluma, Rafael De La Fuente)
Come play the snobby Avaloran noble turned refugee, childhood frenemy/pain in the ass of Princess Elena! Join Avalor Squad and get a piece of Avalor worldbuilding. Help me develop the Avaloran nobility, the pop culture, the youth culture. Being from Avalor is a cool enough plot, with the coup and civil conflict now, but being nobility? With a potential connection to the princesses? Woooo!
Tumblr media
10. Armando Salinas (fc suggestions by McKala: tricky, bc he has to be Latinx and body diverse, but I have three possible ideas in mind and I can make gifs for them! They’re Harvey Guillen and Erik Griffin.
Wow there HAS to be more body diverse Latinx men out there. But!!! Join the Avalor party y’all!
Tumblr media
11. Cristina Elizaga - FCs by McKala: Tamara Mena, Annie Elainey (non-binary, so must be non-binary), Kallyna Sampaio
I actually made the gif packs for 2 of 3 of these suggestions! Since Latinx fcs who use wheelchairs are very sparse, I went ahead and made gifs for two potential fcs. Join team Avalooooor!
Tumblr media
12. QUEEN CLARION, Y’ALL. FC ideas by McKala: Deborah Mailman, Otsuka Nene, Gabrielle Union, Kulap Vilaysack
I canNOT believe Queen Clarion is still open y’all
who doesn’t wanna be a nearly immortal fairy queen!
Tumblr media
13. Hay Lin!!!! (fc suggestions by McKala: Janice Wu, Lauren Tsai, Jelly Lin, Lai Meiyun)
Play a Guardian! Travel across diff dimensions, weeeeee! Have the power of WIND, WOW
Tumblr media
14. Taranee Cook!!!! (fc suggestions by McKala: Karidja Touré, China Anne McClain, Sammi Maria)

This exhibition is the first time that the design legacy of Grant and Mary Featherson has been explored in depth, from 1947 to the 1970s and beyond. Photo – Caitlin Mills for The Design Files.
The showcase is ‘beautiful, playful and engaging’ according to Featherston guru and exhibition co-curator Denise Whitehouse. Photo – Caitlin Mills for The Design Files.
What motivated a country boy to become a designer in the late 1930s? This was the simple question that launched Heide Museum of Modern Art’s current exhibition, exploring the careers of Grant Featherston, arguably Australia’s most significant modernist designer, and his creative partnership with Mary Featherston.
From his innovation of new materials and technologies, to the production of trailblazing furniture throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the exhibition highlights the diversity of the Featherston’s practice – spanning interiors, exhibitions, photography, glass, sculpture and even promotional design!
Featherston guru and design historian Denise Whitehouse has been working with Mary Featherston for over a decade on cataloguing the vast Featherston archive. ‘What I discovered was that the Featherston story reached far beyond the Contour Chair, to include glass jewellery, interiors, and photography. I also discovered extensive drawings and writings by Grant that took me into his design processes and thinking, as well as the nature of his design consultancy that included Featherston Interiors,’ tells Denise, who previously worked as a senior lecturer in design history at Swinburne University’s School of Design, and is the convenor of brilliant online depository the Design History Australia Research Network.
Denise has co-curated this showcase with writer Kirsty Grant, who was responsible for the NGV’s ground-breaking Mid-Century Modern exhibition (2014), alongside coordinator Kendrah Morgan.‘Denise has a deep and unrivalled knowledge of the work of Grant and Mary Featherston, so we were a perfect match and worked together really well, learning from each other throughout the process!’ explains Kirsty Grant, who also served as director/CEO of Heide Museum of Modern Art (2015-2016) and senior curator of Australian Art at the National Gallery of Victoria (2007-2014).
While the bulk of the exhibition concentrates on Grant Featherston’s furniture and interiors, this exhibition is the first to explore the Featherston partnership in depth, and to include Mary Featherston’s significant career in design for children and learning. ‘Our aim has been to push beyond the chair to show insights into the design process and thinking… in particular Grant’s ‘design for life’ philosophy that prioritises human need and social good over profit-driven consumerism’ Denise explains. ‘Simple, beautiful, functional and affordable being their aim. And to lift the spirit as Mary would say!’ she adds.
The exhibition runs until early October, and incorporates a vast showcase of rare Featherston gems IRL, including Modular storage units from the 1955 Savoy Hotel Exhibition, a very beautiful Eleanor E 1 chair and the Floating series 102 chair designed for the Brighton Municipal Offices in 1960. ‘We were also able to persuade Mary to design an installation of her archive of natural objects and photography, as well as a wonderful interactive Design Studio where children and parents can experiment with the paper model making process that the Featherstons used when prototyping develop their furniture designs,’ entices Denise.
After years of research and logistics, the curatorial team are thrilled to finally open this show to the public. Their ultimate highlight? Mary Featherston’s enthusiastic seal of approval!
‘Design For Life: Grant And Mary Featherston’ June 30th to October 7th Heide Museum of Contemporary Art 7 Templestowe Road Bulleen, Victoria
