I personally think that what caused Xaden to be turned in a venin is the power which he came across when he was absorbing sgaeyl’s signet in him.. that unnamed and so sudden of a new force of energy (magic) which he came across and the moment he tried to take it, the way sgaeyl screamed at him.. yeah that - cause I don’t find any other logical methods as to what caused him to turn in a venin.

I feel that if the empyrean does not have the happiness (the kdrama) kind of ending, I’ll go feral.

So basically in iron flame we know that Xaden is a venin similar to that of a zombie from happiness where they crave liquid (water, blood, etc) but here venin are black holes for power and magic. And from the very heart wrenching and mind numbing cliffhanger that our beloved Rebecca gave us we can see that Xaden is struggling to control his body’s urge to have the power soaked in him, bleed the grounds dry of their magic and wards and sate him.

Which is similar to Jung Yi Hyun (hung sik’s character, i.e. the mmc) craving blood and water when he was infected. WHICH they cured with the plasma and antivirus cells which the anti bodies Yoon Sae Boms’ (Hyo joo’s character, I.e. fmc) body produced to fight off the venom left by the zombies bite.

LET US ALL HOPE ! That our dear Rebecca Yarros decides to do the similar thing and save our dear Xaden and ALSO the pair of Xaden and Violet as a whole (I.e. the couple and their romance).

Because personally having the luxury of the sprouting couple actually coming together with pining and denial lasting only in first book when we have a series of seven makes me really scared that she’s going to really give us a heart wrenching ending and I am not up for it 😭 my life is sad in itself when it comes to adult work and I don’t want this added 💀-

Is it just me or the pattern of violet’e interrogation after being caught for stealing the warrick’s journal and Aelin’s torture when she was taken in iron coffin by Maeve is too similar ..?

Not talking the intensity here cause obviously Maeve is more powerful and experienced Aelin’s torture’s intensity is obviously not comparable to violet’s interrogation.. THUS ! The terms torture and interrogation.

They were both beaten and mended which is the basic mean/method of the process but it’s definite.

Aelin was taken and beaten to death and scarred to break her physically and so was violet, Aelin was helped by healers and so was violet, Aelin had her mother’s presence with her when she was broken to the point she didn’t know the extent of reality and violet had Liam (I think it was her hallucinating at the same time Liam reaching her out from his realm like Aelin’s mom), Maeve meddled with aelin’s memories- violet’s memories were also broken in my Dain, both of the torturers were killed by their loved ones I.e. Rowan killing cairn and Aelin killing Maeve, similar to dain stabbing varrish, Xaden allowing violet to stab varrish in heart but ending up them stabbing together so xaden kills varrish -

I would like some context - are holly black and maasverse related !!!???? Or is it just me ?

Cause one- there are a lot of uncanny mentions of spider silks woven by hags who apparently don’t have a physical existence but more made of magic which we can see happening to karankuni in tog.

Then we have Mab - a powerful fae queen who deceived a hag to protect her bloodline

And so much more (I literally blanked out cause I just finished the prisoner’s throne and am dousing myself in its world but if you read those two then it feels like an alternate universe I.e. paralleled future of the roots of tog series or even the whole of maasverse)

So… I LOVE JUDE ! Very quiet literally ! Cause she not only was the main character of her books but she was also the main character of her brothers books, which ultimately makes her THE MAIN CHARACTER!

Also can we appreciate the balance oak was between Cardan and Locke ? Despite majority my literal being despising Locke with all my wit I cannot help but notice how oak’s thoughts are all like that of Cardans’ but majority of his actions at least till the whole of stolen heir and more than half of the prisoner’s throne were that of Lockes’. Though at the end he did a lot of actions like that resembling Cardan or even Dain. But no one can deny that oak is the perfect mixture of Locke and Cardan !

I hate the emptiness filling me up everytime I finish a Sarah j Maas series - LIKE WHAT WENT AWAY !? 😭😭😭- first I thought it was bearable with acotar but now after tog I feel like I need someone to fill me up physically with some explosives and dense gun powders and blast me away - CAUSE I FEEL HOLLOW AND HEAVY !?
