he's also the type of person to "not have many friends" but he has many "acquaintances". like he knows the boy with glasses in his math test saves his seat in the back corner. he knows the girl in his english class will always tell him where they are in the book they're reading if he gets lost. the tall kid who sits at his table at lunch leaves behind a snack for him when he leaves, cause he looks too skinny. he always repays the kindness, in his own way, but he will never call them his friends. friends are dangerous and time consuming and they make him soft, but he's also so desperate for interaction, that he breaks his own rules just a bit.

V1 fighting Raphael, Uriel, and Micheal is such fun to imagine?? Incredible beast kicking x3 angel ass...
YEA it's a ridiculously hectic fight in my mind but it seems like it would be so much fun!! granted im not great at fully working out mechanics, but i think of it as a fight where v1 is pushed to the extremes of what it's learned and what it can do - yet it just keeps growing. it fights against archangels, the pinnacles of what they can achieve and made "perfect", but v1 has no pinnacle. it is capable of infinite, terrible growth, and so it outpaces them too when it gets the chance to learn from them so like. big mistake!!! all they did was make it far more powerful!!!!! and like at that point what can stand against something that has the datasets of all four archangels

I think the thing that really makes 'I Remember You' hit so much is the dissonance between Marcy and Ice King's reactions. Marceline spends the entire episode in various states of being uncomfortable and upset and Ice King for the most part is oblivious to her emotional turmoil. He's just happily trundling along. There are some definite times when he himself is particularly lost and confused (and tbf the episode wouldn't work without those either) but they're incredibly brief and he snaps back to his Ice King persona pretty quickly each time.
And though there is a layer of resignation to it by now, Ice King's very presence hurts Marcy. And he has no idea.
