Just posting this part of ur rant @say-duhnelle I’m a person who likes musicals. I haven’t seen mean girls, wonka or the hunger games one yet. I know the latter 2 aren’t based on stage shows (afaik). Seen hairspray but not the stage show. But I’ll pretty much watch and enjoy most musical movies. I rly liked Les Mis, I’ve seen the stage show to and obv the movie singing wasn’t on par (especially Russell C!). But I’ve watched the movie multiple times. Mamma Mia is for sure not as good as the stage show, but it’s extremely watchable and camp. West side story wasn’t bad, prefer the original though. Cats 2019 is one that is just as bad as everyone said. Anyway idk what the point of this reply is! I liked the trailer for Wicked. As long as they do the music right, I’m not too fussy xo
