The way that I’m brainrotting over a DCxDP crossover with a Danny who’s a vengeful villain rn

Like, let’s just say that the GiW finally get into contact with the JL. They need help neutralizing a threat, you see, and they’re on their last limb trying to keep civilians safe.

They have video evidence! They have studies to back their claims! The JL have to help them!

Unfortunately, the JL believe them. They join a fight against Danny, and defeat him due to being far more experienced than he is. Danny is locked away and experimented on by the GiW.

That would CHANGE a person. Your heroes turning against you and seeing you as a monster, being experimented on for who knows how long, not knowing if your friends and family are safe.

Danny gets out due to a simple mistake on the GiW’s part; having Blüdhaven as part of their transport route.

Of course the trucks were attacked, they’re government property!

So now, whoever decided to raid the government transport trucks (the Penguin or something) has a ton of experimental weapons with no idea how they work, and a heavily traumatized teenager.

Danny knows how they work. Danny can be useful! They won’t throw him out if he’s useful! And so, now Danny is working for the Penguin, altering the ectoplasm weapons to make them work on humans.

It’s a good deal for both parties. Danny gets to neurotically imprint on the Penguin like a small baby animal, and the Penguin gets a brilliant mind who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals.

But eventually, Danny finds out what happened to his family in his absence.

Jazz is in Arkham. Not as a psychologist, but as a “patient.” Apparently, she snapped and completely destroyed the house, leveled a few blocks of Amity Park, and conducted organized attacks on government bases (mostly GiW) for months.

Sam and Tucker helped her, eventually splitting once Jazz was captured. Sam travels to areas of extreme pollution, completely overgrowing them with her plant powers. Currently she’s in the Amazon rainforest, engaging in an ongoing feud with logging companies. Sam is winning.

Tucker faked his death, and Danny has no idea where he is. He only knows that the death wasn’t real because of a code that the three of them made together, just in case.

Ellie’s trapped in the Infinite Realms. Danny had a failsafe in place so that if she was ever cornered by the GiW, she would be sent to her haunt in the GZ. However, with the portal destroyed, she can’t come back. Danny just hopes she’s okay.

His parents are now top GiW scientists. They’re traveling the country giving speeches. They’re working on a battery powered by ectoplasm, but apparently started “having difficulties” around the same time that Danny escaped.

None of it is fair. None of it is right.

The Justice League destroyed his life, the lives of his friends, and they’re doing as good as ever. The GiW is respected, and his parents are happily working away for them.

Danny takes up some of his more experimental weapons and breaks Jazz out of Arkham. She’s a little different now, colder and more quiet, but she still loves him all the same. It’s an unimaginable comfort to him to see his sister again.

He can’t use his powers anymore. He’s so used to associating them with pain that even transforming into his ghost form is enough to take him down for hours.

However, he understands ectoplasm more than anyone else in the world. He knows how to use it in virtually everything; how it can become a weapon, how it can be used as a supplemental ingredient in poisons and nerve agents, how it can twist and distort the mind if applied correctly.

He doesn’t care what happens to him. He’s going to take down the GiW, and destroy the lives of the JL members who helped lock him away, just as they did to him.

No matter the cost.

see. i tried to order food (having nothing of note in the house, and too much pain currently to get down 3 flights of stairs about it) and the payment failed on just eat's end.

but it went through fine on my bank's end, so the funds are tied up in "pending"... for a week. my available balance is now 95p so i can't just do it again

the bank cannot typically do anything about this until the normal time frame for collection passes and they funds just release automatically. just eat have zero contactable customer service

but it is for FOOD and there's no more MONEY and i am a DISABLED CUSTOMER so BY FUCKING GOD not on zeeshan's watch

Young Justice is always a little...concerned. With Phantom's living situation. Now they're outright afraid for him, and Bart has decided it's time to Ask An Adult.

It was the little quips. The tiny little things. Stuff that didn't seem to matter to Phantom at all, or appeared to be normal for him, that he didn't realize weren't normal at all.

"Oh, better not hope my mom catches me." "Doing what, staying out past bedtime?" "Nah, using my powers; she'd vivisect me!"

"Another stab wound. Great." "Don't worry Phantom, I've got the med kit-" "Oh, I'm not a baby or anything, I can handle it just fine. Just gimme a sec to take it out."

"My dad has better aim than that." "...Like, when he's hunting, right?" "...At what other times would he be shooting at me?"

"Huh. Not as bad as my parents place. Look; they have a decontamination shower!" "Phantom, this lab has been vandalized to the point of needing a hazmat suit." "Did I stutter?"

Finding out each others identities did nothing to soothe the worry. Tim quietly told the others that every time he tried to run facial recognition, he kept hitting a government firewall he couldn't breach. Phantom never told them his last name, just his first, and 'Danny' is super common.

The thing that really did it though, the thing that made Bart snap and run off to ask Max, was when Danny had a nightmare.

He was talking in his sleep.

"No. Don't-stop. Stoooop. I need...my skin. Mom, no. You can't...peel off...my skin..."

Bart didn't even wait for them to wake Danny up before he was standing in front of Max, talking a mile a minute as he tried to figure out what to do, with Wally staring in horror over a plate of waffles as he computed everything that Bart was saying.

Danny had a dream about his mom and Skulker arguing about how to skin him. He wouldn't really call it a nightmare, because it was just Skulker, but the scariest thing was Skulker insisting to his mom that it was possible to skin him with a potato peeler. Dream mom was arguing that it was not, and that from a scientific standpoint that was a really piss poor way to preserve a specimen.

He hadn't been begging them to stop hurting him, he'd been whining at them to knock it off.

But when he wakes up, it's to a room full of worried friends and an old man who calls himself Max.

"Kid, I think we need to talk."

Resolutions, Intentions, Goals and Being Fearless With a Plan

There is much discussion about whether it’s good to make resolutions, and/or set intentions and goals for the new year. Here’s my take…

I remember my mother saying “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”. While I think this may be an exaggeration, there is some truth to it. We can intend and resolve to do something all day long, but unless we actually get up and do, it really doesn’t matter.

Setting goals, is just more of the same in my opinion.

What actually needs to happen is this…we must do the inner work on ourselves, realize our worth, seek out our gifts and really love who we are…right where we are. It’s only then that we will have the confidence to accomplish the things we want to accomplish!

Don’t get me wrong…there are very successful people who probably don’t really like who they are. They have power and money and prestige, BUT…are they happy? Do they get up in the morning, excited to start the day? Do they have good relationships with their spouses? Do they have good friends? Most likely, the answer is no. Personally, I want the entire package…great relationships, a business that makes my heart sing, financial abundance and the freedom to do things I want!

When 2022 came to an end, I had a feeling of disappointment that I had to process.

I spent last year doing some deep inner work. I took courses, journaled, studied and really took a deep dive into the why of my life and how I could let go of the past and move forward. This was not an easy process, but I know with certainty that I grew as a person. In many ways, I was fearless, but, looking back, I can still see where I let fear stop me from fully living.

It’s can be difficult to put yourself out there in a big way and I held back to some extent and that’s why I have been feeling disappointed. The word I chose for last year was focus and focus I did. I focused on learning and growing and yes, working. I not only learned about myself, I learned many technical things that have helped me be take full ownership of my business. I think it’s great to delegate and hire people to do things that you don’t love to do, or don’t have time to do, but it’s also good to know how to do those things, just in case the time comes when you need to know. The person that had helped me with my blog for many years, suddenly quit in June of 2022 and I had to scramble to learn how to do some of the things that he had always done. I still have things to learn, but I’m getting there and I’m sure it was a sign that it was time to move out of my comfort zone!

There is always something to be grateful for and in my reflection of the past year, gratitude is what helped me to see my growth and blessings and let go of the disappointment! I made many wonderful memories, and the things I learned last year will help me grow this year!

So…after all of the reflection, I’ve chosen fearless as my word for 2023. Fearless, however, is just a word, much like resolution and intention, so I’ve also chosen to be fearless with a plan. I read a quote years ago and it said…”plan your work and work your plan (I have no idea who said it). Thinking isn’t the same as planning…planning is getting out the calendar, or the white board, or your planner, and actually scheduling things that will move you forward…from day to day and month to month.

Think of yourself as 3 people in one…the planner, the doer and the one who celebrates! The part of you that is the planner, is crucial to making your dream life happen. The doer is the part of you that executes the plan. The doer takes a certain kind of energy and works best with a plan because otherwise, the doer is “busy” for the sake of being busy and that’s wasted energy. I can see where I spent a great deal of time in “doer energy” last year and it was more frustrating than productive. Lastly, don’t forget to include the part of you that takes the time to be grateful, and celebrate what you’ve been able to accomplish!

Now, let’s talk about fear! Fearless is a loaded word, because no matter what, you’ll still feel the fear. I would define fearless and feeling the fear and doing what you need to do in spite of it!

Fear only exists in your mind, but it can stop you from living the life you want to live. Fear keeps you stuck in an endless loop of living the same day, or the same year, over and over again. This does not make for a good life. The only way to push past the fear and do the thing…whatever the thing is for you, is to learn to love yourself. So…you may need to have a year like I had last year. Maybe this is the year you give yourself the gift of coming to terms with your s**t! You know…all of the things that you were conditioned to believe as a child that you’ve believed for way too long. I really do believe that letting go of limiting thoughts is a daily process that involves living consciously. It’s a Journey but it’s definitely one worth starting!

You are important, simply because you are here. You have unique gifts to offer and sharing your gifts is a responsibility!

You can do whatever you want to do if you believe you can, become fearless, make a plan and work your plan. It may not be easy, but it will be worth it! What if…2023 is the year you make it all happen?
