Brace yourselves.

(I know I am.)

This weekend, I shall begin blind reading the book (my first experience of the Twilight books or movies outside of internet memes and general information osmosis) and recording my insights. I think I will post them in chapter chunks, for organization and so as not to overwhelm my dashboard with Twilight content (the horror).

For those wishing to tag along on what I hope will be an entertaining ride (for you all if not for me), or for those who wish to continue in blissful denial that the Twilight series exists, I will be tagging my reports with “river reads midnight sun”! If this endeavor does NOT prove sufficiently entertaining, I give myself leave to spare myself further agony, because why should the clown cry in public if no one is there to laugh at her tears? So basically ya’ll can continue my self-inflicted torment by interacting with the posts or sending asks or whatnot you heathens.

Also, fun(???) fact: I looked up the wordcount because my WORD this book is SO THICK, and turns out the original Twilight was 118,975 words. Midnight Sun is (drumroll please) . . .

240,095 words.

I trust you lot to remind me later that I did it for the vine (or whatever the current equivalent is).

*TW Animal Death Mention*

If the Kraken is Neptune’s pet …then it makes Book 2’s ending really sad. When Neptune has to help kill the Kraken to stop a shipwreck .

Very reminiscent of when people have to euthanize their dogs for violently attacking someone.

It’s hard to tell if the Kraken was literally Neptunes pet. On one hand he did take good care of it , providing shelter and food. On the other hand he shows 0 emotional attachment to the Kraken. Unlike with the Narwhal.

It seemed five months off didn't derail much at work. Which he was glad for since he dreaded coming back to a wreck. He had left his wife and three youngest ones back in the lobby where they got to roam around and see what the latest sea dive had brought in. While he made his way back to where his team sat lounging waiting for their next task. He knew with the latest sea dive that the team had brought in samples they'd found on the sea floor and knew just who to call. His good friend Javier. He knew if anyone could give him an exact or close to exact age of the samples that it'd be him. Though now it seemed like jc had been early.

Leaning against the doorframe and hearing his team take guesses at how old the samples and what they were from, he chuckled and shook his head. ❛ The three rocks that you guys collected couldn't be more than maybe 100 or 150 years old. Not even close enough to being something that fell off a ship. That guess is too low. Watch it before Javier hears you. You'll break his heart with that guess. ❜ He smiled as his eyes finally caught sight of his friend.

❛ Damn. Imagine if this was an emergency. ❜ The taller male laughed as he couldn't help the teasing. ❛ Did you get lost? ❜

I hope you won't mind me asking this (I should be sleeping but who cares), what if Robin had a baby face? How much teasing would they get?

I care! Bedtime, or else! 7 hours a night is a good standard to have and stick to, try to get enough sleep! <3

Baby faced Robin may receive a couple little jabs about how their mask is actually to increase their intimidation factor, huh? Or, from particularly daring rivals post-reveal a cheek pinch or two - but the boys do have access to some common sense, and baby face or not, their rival is a renowned agent - at the first death glare they stop (for a while), pulling back with one with last snicker

Sometimes, the boys may look at them and just grin, and whether or not they get elbowed depends solely on the direction of their next words - if it's "hah, baby face" there's gonna be some murder, if it's "just thinking, you're cute" it's Robin who dies <3
