Yeah, sure, we could be sad about the deaths of so many of their friends and family, we could be sad that Yoda's only company is a ghost who is reminding him of all the dead grandbabies that are no longer with them OR-- I could absolutely lose my shit at how annoying Obi-Wan is EVEN AS A GHOST. Nooooooo!! Farewell sweet device!!

I regret to inform everyone that the device I wrote 95% of my fanfiction on has officially died after over three years of dedicated service. All of my personal pictures and videos, as well as every fanfic I was writing and planning (excepting the Johnlock prompt fic I sent to my editor almost a month before this happened, so whoever requested it, you're one lucky bastard), was destroyed as a result. And before anyone asks, yes, I should've backed it up, but I didn't have the means to do so.

I apologize for the inconvenience, especially to my beta, @ineffableobikin, because I will now have to rewrite the 20,000 words and counting hyperfixation fanfic I promised to send her. I will also have to purchase a new device, and that could possibly take two weeks or more.

However, it's not all bad news. I have remarkably remembered the names and outlines of all three of my Sope series fics, the names and outlines for 25 out of 31 kinktober 2024 fics so far, and am somehow rewriting my hyperfixation fic at an impressive rate.

The last thing I can say is: can I get a respectful salute for the device that gave so much?

He's done! Anakin is done!

It's so far from perfect and I forgot so much of how these paints work but it's done and he's beautiful and I'm so happy!

In April I was having such a hard time and I met Hayden at a convention and I was so sad at the time that I didn't have my own work for him to sign, something special.

Between that feeling and friends pestering, I finally started making art again, and a few months ago I thought if I could sell art at conventions, I would need a kick ass backdrop, and started painting this.

I'm gonna still need to make a lightbox, but this alone makes me so so so happy.

He's beautiful.

Now I just need to find some wealthy patron to pay for me to just paint these all day long as I shall be quite happy.

AHHHHH this really made my day. Snark Wars is so very close to my heart, and I'm SO happy that people are still finding it and reading it.

It'll be back/updated. The first year of the pandemic WAY threw me off (like oh, everyone else in the world) and kind of upended my personal daily schedule. I rallied a bit for the Obes Show, but partially because it was tailor-made FOR me, and also because I felt like I owed it to Lucasfilm to make good on my promise, hahaha. Then I got MAJORLY derailed with some other non-fandom-related nerdly pursuits, some minor health stuff, some fandom-getting-me-down stuff, and just the general insanity of parenting and Life on Planet Earth these days.

BUT! It's still very much on my mind. I have the domain/services set to auto-renew for basically forever so even if I am the slowest recapper ever for the rest of my life, I intend to keep Snark Wars right where it is. I'm really proud of that silly little blog. It is very much Me.

(And God help me, I WILL finish Wild Space. I assume that despite being over the halfway point I still have another 53 Obi-Wan Near-Death Experiences, 90 more instances of Anakin whining about how nobody cares about him when HE IS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE BOOK ANYONE EVER SEEMS CONCERNED ABOUT, and several more hours' worth of Sheev's constant Background Smugness.)
