Guide to this Sideblog:

Because I use this sideblog for everything that is unrelated to the specifics of my other blogs, there's a lot of random content here. This is mostly just for my own personal navigation of this space, but if you're here and you'd like to use it, feel free. It's to make it easier to find similar posts all in one spot and designed to be accessible for both phones and computers (I've noticed on my laptop that when you click a tag on a post, it'll take you to all the posts on Tumblr with the tag opposed to the app which will allow you to view that tag specific to one person's blog).

All my tags are master-posted here for easy navigation.

As of making this post, I am still updating this sideblog. But you can find all the things I post in the tags and can click it to find everything I post in that category.

been trying to figure out how exactly i want to draw him; i'm glad folks liked him in that one picture! here's some more bill studies. can't make my mind up between a softer duck-like bill (a little closer to his canon one) or a longer and more pointed shape slightly closer to an actual penguin...? thoughts?

The boat is moving before he can fully process it.

He’s moving before he can fully process it.

(They can’t leave without him.)

His legs move on their own desperate accord, and he’s only vaguely aware of two pairs of hands, one pair gripping each arm and stopping him in his tracks.

“Roier!”

“Roier, stop it!”

He struggles. Fights for his life.

(His life isn’t on the boat.)

(They can’t leave without him.)

Voices plea, but he can barely hear them over the sound of someone else yelling.

(“No! No, no, no! Cellbo! Cellbo!”)

He’s yanked back, away from the railing.

(“Cellbit! Cellbit!”)

It’s him yelling, he realizes, as his legs give out. The hands can’t catch him and he falls to the deck, communicator clattering out of reach.

Everything is blurry. So blurry. Fuzzy. He thinks he's crying. Thinks he can feel hot tears streaming down his cheeks.

But it's hard to think. Hard to hear. Hard to see. His voice goes hoarse. It cracks, breaks. His hands curl into fists in his lap as he hunches over himself.

"Mi esposo..!"

Someone crouches beside him. Maybe two people. He isn't sure. There's a hand on his back, one on his shoulder. They're saying something, but it sounds like it's underwater.

(He feels like he's underwater. Like he's drowning.)

(They're leaving without him.)

"Mi amor..."

I throw my hat into the "petnames ven would give to ic" ring for chat ; I think ven would call them "my comet" (or just "comet", but I think adding the 'my' gives it a better ring). I know Icarus is typically associated with the sun, and not the stars and night sky, but I do think comet fits. Comets, especially more famous ones, pass by the earth every 'really long time' and are simply a line of very bright light in the sky - that only lasts for a short period of time. While not a direct correlation, the light flash could very well be seen as Icarus' happiness - something often short lived, and not somthing that happens often, but something that is oh so bright when it does. Comets, when flyong across the sky, are also very pretty - which. I think that one is more self explanatory.
