in the stillness of the night

a/n: tiny drabble before I go to bed

“Hey, let’s go to bed.” She says, draped over his chest.

He looks away from the tv and rubs his eyes while he stretches, she moves with his body as it raises and falls.

“I wasn’t asleep.” he says groggily.

Her hair is sprawled out around them and she rests her chin on her hands that continue to lay on his chest. Her eyes search his face, roaming the valleys and peaks of his skin and it makes him shy at her bashfully.

Click, click she takes endless snaps of him in her mind for her eyes only.

“What?” He grumbles, wrapping his arms around her. He takes a deep breath taking in her scent and nuzzles his nose against her cheek making her giggle.

“Oh nothing.” She shrugs.

“Oh nothing.” He mimic’s her so she roll her eyes playfully before she starts to run her finger tips along his shoulders.

Evan shivers and she smiles feeling proud at how he reacts to her touch- even the innocent ones. His eyes are dark and his lips are parted as he watched her caress his upper body.

They both hum in sync drawing out the dull voices coming from the television where the movie has been long forgotten.

"C'mon," she whines, "I'm tired and I want to cuddle.

"We are cuddling." he responds.

"In bed."

He doesn't even have to say anything because he's already reaching for the remote to turn the television off. He feels her smile against his cheek as she kisses him while he wraps his arms around her torso, lifting her up with him.

She dangles as he walks them towards the bedroom, turning off lights and blowing out candles. She kisses him with each movement he makes.

Her head going fuzzy when she feels his Adams apple bob when she moves her soft lips to his neck.

"Let's get you to bed, yeah?" He whispers into the night.

"Yes, please."

Sailor-Aviator's Playlist Writing Challenge

Hello, hello!! Welcome back to another writing challenge! This one also had a lot of votes in the poll I posted, so I figured why not go ahead and release it?

The Concept

I have what some might call an eclectic music taste. What does that mean? I like a bit of just about everything! So, I compiled a list of songs from my playlists that I thought might make good fanfic inspiration! As with my Christmas Challenge, there will be a limited number of spots for each song! Just send me a DM/ask telling me which song you'd like to choose and for which Top Gun character you'd like to write for!

The Rules

You may sign up for more than one slot as long as there are slots available. However, you can not take up two slots for the same song.

Tag your fics appropriately! (Angst, smut, fluff, warnings, etc.)

18+ ONLY!

This can be a series, a one-shot, moodboards, or even a collection of drabbles! Just have fun with it!

I've been writing for over 6 years but i've never shared it with anyone but my best friend.

This blog originally began as a KPOP fic page, but things have changed and i'm not too involved in that world anymore.

My main focus is mainly American Horror Story but that's obv subject to change.

I write for Tate Langdon, Kit Walka, Kyle Spencer (both franken & frat), Jimmy Darling, James Patrick March, & Colin Zabel.

I do not write for Kai. He will hate crime me and i'm scared or Peter Maximoff simply because I didn't watch x-men or Wanda vision 🧍🏾‍♀️

My favorite genre is hurt/comfort and whump. What can I say? I love the dramatics.

I often add music to my posts because once again, I love the dramatics.

My blog contains mature themes that may not be suitable for all audiences, but I will always add a warning label

I take requests, questions, etc. I wanna hear from people!

I'm black. so a lot of my characters will probably be "black coded" and I will almost always use black women in my moodboards.

I try to write in general terms but I write the same way I speak and I seriously do not care if you don't like it, go somewhere else and i'm so serious.

I also don't write for MLM (for now), I don't want to overstep as a woman and that's simply something i'm not good at, so 99% of my fics will be from the perspective of a Fem!reader. You are always more than welcome to read regardless of gender or sexuality or you can change details such as pronouns and names with the interactive fics chrome extension.

I write original character pieces. And self inserts. And I enjoy writing them. I stopped posting them to here but.. Tate's sure you're a blessing sent from the angels above gracing him with a holy light to show they see the slightest bit of Tate redeeming himself by resisting his violent urges, and losing you would make him go more insane than he already is, with you the world just doesn't seem to be as dark and if you were to leave there's a chance he would hurt again.

Sadly, he doesn't have much access to the outside world so he gets Addie to buy you gifts.

kicks his feet back and forth as he wraps your gifts in old Christmas paper from back when he was still alive as he pictures your face lighting up from his gifts.

Does start crying though because he begins to think that you’re too good for material items along with him and you deserve to spend your day with someone not as horrible as him.

Afterward he gets Addie to steal a rose their mother gets from her hookups so he can give it to you.

His other gifts are two teddy bears that made him immediately think of you and him. a cheesy Halloween/valentines card, and chocolate skeletons.

He's so excited about your reaction, he's never had a valentine before.

Wrong.

As much as I love Kit I have the feeling he doesn't pay attention to others that much. That's not his fault though he's just always stressed or busy.

When he's overhears his friends about what they're getting their partners he freaks out.

Valentine's day isn't too long away and he hasn't got you anything.

He feels like a terrible partner and he really doesn't want to make you upset in any way so as soon as he gets off work he calls Lana to ask what's the hottest thing goin on in town for couples.

Drive-in horror movies.

He's not the biggest fan of horror movies, in fact, he's deathly scared of them but for you, he can endure it.

Gets the kids to make you a card and plans the day out for the two of you, milkshakes and stupid death beach movies.

He hopes this goes good.

Doesn’t really understand it at all, but he knows you like to spend lots of time with him and give him kisses and cuddle and really that’s all that matters too him.

He doesn’t like to go out in public since you won’t let him slip his hands under your shirt or slip let him take your hands and slip them under his shirt (not sexually he just loves physical touch) so he prefers to stay inside and cuddle.

Kyle waits until you left with the other witches to sneak outside and pluck daisies to give you cause he wants to show his appreciation for your kisses and cuddles.

Wants to hold your hand and hear words he doesn’t know the meaning of leave your lips and kiss them before you drift in eachothers arms.

Has a giddy smile on his face from the thought of it.

Puts all his money together and expands his..side job to more women to afford a star necklace for you.

Wont shut up about how he’s going to bring you in for a kiss and put it around your neck before you get of the Ferris wheel.

It’s absolutely perfect, for someone who’s perfect in his eyes.

Wakes you up bright in early and showers you with kisses, waiting until you practically scream for him to get off of you (personally I would never do that)

Tells you to clear your schedule to cause the two of you are having dinner tonight.

Due to his incredibly busy schedule, he won't be able to spend the whole day with you which he dreads.

A lot of people like to check into the hotel on Valentine's day and he loves to pry on young couples, especially those looking for a threesome with a rich man who might take a liking to the pair.

Although their attempts at a wealthy life would be hopeless and James has his eyes only on you.

As he slits the neck of his last victim of the evening, he makes sure to call upon Mrs. Evers to clean the mess as he sets and private candlelight dinner where no one, even his maid, will be able to interrupt the two of you.

Won't be able to keep a finger off of you the entire night, pulling you in for a deep kiss every moment your words come to end.

Truly, he isn't trying to be rude when he says this but he does wish you would shut up so he can taste more of you.

2. who sleeps in and who is the early bird?

She groans against the fluffed pillows as he pokes at her side causing her to jilt in response. His soft chuckle makes her sleepy haze relinquish some animosity she has against him, because she loves that sound.

Yes, he's waken her up in the early hours of the day, but she turns onto her side as she watches her boyfriend wiggle his thick eyebrows at her.

He holds the wonky mug he made for her when they went on their pottery date last week.

"Morning, baby" he hums.

12. which of the two rolls their eyes the most often?

"I just cannot stand when people say that. I feel like they're talking down to me or something." she says, flying her hands up in attempt to make his understand her annoyance.

Evan presses his lips together, nodding and humming along to her every word causing y/n to narrow her gaze at her boyfriend as she watches him make lunch at the kitchen counter.

"But, I also love when you put the mayonnaise on top of the sandwich instead of inside" she says, challenging his listening capabilities. "you know?"

"mhm" he hums as he slices her sandwich in half.

Evan reaches for bag of jalapeño chips and pours some onto her plate before reaching for the salt and vinegar bag. Y/n simply cannot eat a sandwich without both chip choices.

"Wait, what-" he blinks, holding the bag of chips mid tilt.

y/n rolls her eyes so dramatically that Evan pouts as he watches her small frame tremble with the laughter she lets out, bouncing off of the kitchen walls, making her boyfriends cheeks turn ruby red.

22. who gets more easily embarrassed?

she stood in front of the full length mirror in the hallway of his newly renovated Soho apartment. She couldn't help but stop dead In her tracks when she walked past it.

It was date night and they had planned on meeting at his before heading out. Y/n hadn't seen him yet. letting herself in she didn't see the harm in checking herself out once again before approaching him.

She had bought a new skirt and wanted it to look perfect before showing him. Y/n patted down the length letting her fingers trail down and pull the material down, noticing that it had ridden up her thighs more than she wanted.

"There you are, I was about to call you!" she heard his voice before she saw him leaning against the wall.

"Sorry, I didn't realize how quiet I closed the door." she giggled.

Evan shook his head at her 'sorry' and stepped closer to his girlfriend. He hummed happily, placing his hands against her cheeks and pulled her closer into his chest. Y/n smiled sweetly as she felt his lips fan against her hair and rest atop her forehead.

"This skirt is telling me we should just stay in." he nearly whispered.

Y/n's eyes widened up at her boyfriend and she yelped as she felt his hands roam down her body and rest dangerously low against her hips.

"No way. This skirt is screaming to be out in the village!" she blushed.

"That won't be the only screaming tonight." he teased causing y/n to groan and hide her face into his chest causing him to let out a loud and contagious laugh.

"Don't be a weirdo or I'll call you old!" she said causing him to let out a playful gasp.

32. who is the first to apologize?

The couple sit in silence as cars zoom all around them while he makes his way down the highway. His focus is on the road as she twiddles her thumbs and bites her lip to keep her from saying something stupid.

Y/n peaks over at Evan and frown as she notices how tight he is clenching the steering wheel and how tight his jaw is clenched. He has a bad habit of jaw clenching and she knows how much it will bother him and give him a headache later.

"Evan?" she says just loud enough to hear over the traffic.

He hums in response, not looking at her as he keeps his eyes glued to the road. "Careful with your jaw, okay?"

Evan glances at her with a look of confusing before opening his mouth and wincing, feeling immediate relief. "oh." he sighs. "Thanks" he adds.

Y/n smiles and rests her head back against the head rest. "I didn't mean it like that. You know I would never think that of you" she finally says.

Evan purses his lips but doesn't say a word.

"I'm sorry. I did not mean for what I said to come across that way." she presses.

Evan twitches slightly, his eyes breaking focus and turns to give her a quick, meaningful glance. "I know baby. I'm sorry too." he sighs, placing his hand on her knee.

42. who has the most self-control?

Y/n can barley hear her own thoughts as she walks hand in hand with him down the carpet. She can hear the clinks of the cameras and the buzz of people shouting and laughing all around her.

She shakes with every step that he leads her with and she trembles at the thought of seeing one of his affluent ex- partners. Y/n takes a deep breath after they make a quick halt and there in the midst of it all, she peers up at him.

His eyes search her features with the softness of his love causing the movements around them to suddenly disappear as he squeezes her hands him his large one's and gives her that million dollar smile she adores.

"You are doing so good, baby. Almost at the end." he cheers.

But, in the end, she would walk a million more miles in these heels for him if he asked her to.

52. Who whines the most when they get sick?

Her coughing fit ends when he places the cup of fresh tea on the coffee table. He looks down at her with worry as she shivers, removing her hand out of the warm cacoon her fuzzy blanket provided.

"I hate this." she whines.

"I know" he frowns.

"I hate this with a burning passion! You don't even know!"

Evan holds back a smile and crossed his arms over his chest. "Oh, I know!' he said mimicking her whiney tone.

62. who's more likely to buy some stupid NFT just before it looks cool? (btw I have no idea what an NFT is?? is it artwork?)

Y/n bursts through the door with the piece behind her back causing Evan to raise his brown up at her while he takes a sip of his coffee.

He looks at her questionably as she strides over to him and pulls out the artwork that she had hiding behind her back for the minuet it took her to slide her shoes off and walk over to him.

"What's up with you?" he asked bemused.

"Only the coolest thing to ever exist! I mean look at this." she says proudly, holding the frame out in front of her so that Evan could take a good look at what she was presenting to him.

His deadpanned glance caused her to roll her eyes and he shook his head and groaned. "That is complete shit, y/n. Please tell me you're joking!" he laughs.

Y/n glares at him and huffs out as she swiftly turns away from him and makes her way towards his office. "I'm hanging it up in here so you'll alway remember what an amazing and loving girlfriend I am for getting you something so cool and interesting."

Evan scoffs, "That's only because you don't have room for it in your apartment!"
