When I was photographing this area someone asked me for directions to Jervis Street railway station … I assumed that they were looking for the nearby tram stop.
I think that the official name is Wolfe Tone Park but it’s more commonly referred to as Wolfe Tone Square. It’s a public space bounded by Mary Street to the north, Jervis Street to the east, and Wolfe Tone…

Jervis Tetch A.K.A The MAD HATTER 🎩🫖
OK So someone sent me an ask on here and unfortunately I can't find where it disappeared to-SO I'M VERY SORRY!
This person asked if I could make a reference sheet of my Hatter and share some headcanons, if I had any. I've never really done this before, or even had many headcanons so please bare with me lol. I didn't go into too much detail, Im not really a writer so I just tried to get the main points through.
Down The Rabbit Hole:
Has paranoid schizophrenia, and often hallucinates, especially when stressed. He mostly sees characters from Alice in Wonderland, seeing the Cheshire cat or “Alice” the most.
When very stressed or feel like hes losing control of a situation, he begins to stutter horribly. His words get jumbled in his mind, and thats when he starts reciting quotes or poems from AIW relevant to the situation hes in. Before he became the Mad Hatter, and became a criminal he stuttered constantly while speaking to anyone.
Jervis controls people by drugging and hypnotizing them, But the strongest form of mind control he has are the masks he puts on his “Guests”.
For goons or regular street thugs he manages to get, he mostly uses cards on them instead of wasting materials to make masks for them. Figuring It would be easier than having Batman break them and forcing him to constantly remake the same ones over and over.
Also its a chance to call his thugs the “Card Guards” which amuses him.
His goons don’t matter much to him, but if he assigns you a specific character, you are highly important to his “Tea Parties” and are at risk of being forced to attend indefinitely.
For his “Tea Party” guest list, he has crafted actual masks for them to wear, in correlation to the Character he assigned to each guest. He does make sure the guests are drugged with his special tea before putting the masks on them. Wouldn’t want to risk having you manage to break free of his control during the party! Or ever.
March Hare=Scarecrow, Dormouse= Riddler, White Rabbit= Ventriloquist, Cheshire Cat= Catwoman, The Dodo= Penguin, Mock Turtle= Mr.Freeze, Queen of Hearts= Poison Ivy, The Walrus= Bane, The Jabberwocky= Batman
He customizes the masks so they even resemble the actual people.
His closest friends are Jonathan Crane, and Edward Nygma, his March Scare and Dorrat.
Jonathan was a psychologist so he knows how to handle Jervis, and can tolerate him for the most part. Edward on the other hand may think Jervis is a useful ally, but he's not nearly as patient with him as Jonathan is. Neither of them like being called by their "nicknames" Jervis gave them.
Jervis fell in love with the woman he had been working with, before he became a criminal, that put everything into motion. Her actual name wasn't Alice, but they both bonded over their fondness for the story, and he started to call her Alice as a fun nickname or inside joke. Though his obsession with her had already begun.
After losing it, and becoming a criminal and kidnapping "Alice" he was defeated by Batman, (Much like how it happened in BTAS). "Alice" fled Gotham after this, but Jervis doesn't know that, and is too far gone to realize that she would leave him. SO he roams the streets of Gotham looking for his beloved "Alice".
OK THAT'S IT! At least these were all I could think of. Obviously my Jervis is heavily based off the Arkham series and BTAS. But I love this little crazy guy.

Thinks your outfits would not only look badass while murdering people, but they would also help you blend in at night

Loves when you place your tall, leather combat boot on his leg, asking him sweetly to help you lace it up
He likes to trace his fingers along your leg at this, sometimes going a little too high which earns him a swift smack to the hand
He just lets out a chuckle at this

If you're out and about and he notices people looking at you, he immediately helps you embrace it
Will twirl you around in the middle of the street and place a big kiss to your lips
Whispers in your ear how gorgeous and sexy you are whenever he gets the chance
If he's out on a heist and he sees something he thinks you'll like, he'll take it
Even if it steers him off his current mission a bit
Starts having you paint his nails religiously as "good luck"
But in reality, he just likes how his pretty fingertips look wrapped around your neck
Jonathan Crane
This sweet boy is in awe of you
Your edgy looks, your interests, everything
He's never been introduced into this genre before, but you've opened a whole new world for him
Absolutely falls in love with the music you listen to
He just connects to it so well
He also adores being a dress up doll for you
Want to try out a new makeup look on him? Go for it.
You want to see what he'd look like in an edgier outfit? He's ready.
You want to dye his hair a crazy, experimental color? Let's do it!
Seeing him dressed similar to you empowers him in a way
He's used to being hidden in the background, so you pulling him away from that insecurity is like a completely different life to him
Gets extra touchy when you have chokers on
Will softly give you little kisses just above and below the accessory
He's ashamed of it, but he lets his eyes wander for just a little too long when you get all dressed up
He tries to hide it but will turn into a huge blushing and stuttering mess if you catch him in the act
Jervis Tetch
He's definitely intrigued by you
He's used to his world being full of chaotic color and fantasy
But you have this certain edge and uniqueness about you that he hasn't come across before
They say opposites attract for a reason
He feels like you balance him out
You actually help him feel his emotions and openly discuss the things floating around in his head
But of course, being opposites still come with a few disagreements
He finds your taste in music and makeup a little... much
His taste is a little softer and more elegant, but he's not one to judge what you enjoy
He's just tried listening to a couple of your favorite songs and found them scary
He's also not very knowledgeable in this particular genre
So if you bring up something, he'll simply look at you like you've grown a third head
But besides that, he's overall supportive on whatever you want to wear or do
Loves when you both get dressed up together for a night out
It gives him a deep sense of thrill when people look at you both while out
You two may have opposite styles, but your aesthetics are similar in the fact that they don't "fit in" with the public eye

Oswald Cobblepot
You caught Oswald's eye almost immediately when he first encountered you
Something about the way you held yourself drew him in
And when he got to know you?
He was so interested
He wanted to learn more about your clothing choices, the music and art styles you liked, what made you interested in the aesthetic, etc.
He might not share the same exact passion for the things you do, but he will always be very respectful on supporting your interests
He also just finds your look to be super attractive
He doesn't mean to, but he finds himself becoming a little more submissive around you
He's used to throwing out orders and making decisions in his normal day-to-day life
But coming home to you immediately allows him let go of those reigns
You just tell him what to do, and he'll do it
You've accidentally gotten him to whimper a couple times just by complimenting him or giving him words of praise
When you kiss him, you can feel his whole body fall into you
He literally turns into Jello

Well, obviously he adores how you look
I mean, he wouldn't consider his own look to be punk, but he's aware that he's taken inspiration from the genre in the past

He also likes how easy it is to spot you in a crowd
Not that he stalks you while he's out "working" or anything

He just about sinks his teeth into you (literally)
Victor is known to keep his cool no matter what, but you are able to tell when he really likes a particular outfit that day
A hand on your lower back, a lingering glance, and a teasing smile are all signs
But he also will not hesitate to pinch your butt at the most random times too, public or not
Makes you hold his weapons sometimes because he thinks they make you look even edgier
He also has a thing for any piercings you have too
He's not sure what it is, but he's fascinated with how the cool metal sinks into your skin
He'll play with them too if you let him
He's careful not to hurt you
Unless that's what you want, of course...
Bruce Wayne
He honestly doesn't really think anything of it or notice it much
Which isn't a bad thing by any means
Bruce doesn't judge based on looks, so however you decide to present yourself is just who you are in his eyes
But he also cares a lot about your interests
He'll happily sit beside you and listen to your music, shop with you for new clothes, and come with you for your latest piercing or tattoo
You name it, he's there
If it means a lot to you, then it means a lot to him
But he does think it's pretty cool to have such a badass partner
Has helped you dye your hair a handful of times
He kind of gets a slight thrill from knowing that he's the only one that gets to see all sides to you
People may see you one way when you're out in public, but he also gets to see you when you're at home sleeping in his bed or cuddled up on his couch watching some crazy show he's never heard of
He just likes knowing that he gets all of you
He finds it pretty romantic
Really likes any leather pieces you own
You may have persuaded him to buy a couple jackets based on ones that you already had in your closet
But he especially loves the leather on you
Becomes a bit touchier when you have it on, tracing his hands along the material
He thinks it looks great on you and will definitely let his gaze linger a little longer than usual

Job: Police Officer
Oh you little tattletale.
He’s not too surprised by your efforts in trying to keep him from getting caught.
Hell practically half if not most of his followers are or used to be coppers before joining him.
You’re no exception.
Expect to get anonymous calls from him talking and asking about anything other than any more information on Gordon being on his tail or big plans the precinct has been working toward.
For example, one day he called you while on shift to just say, “When are ya gettin’ off cop doody?”.
He has a printed and digital copy of your work schedule.
As we see in Season 4,he has complete control over Arkhams guards and prisoners, even saying that he wants to make a show of his escape, further displaying the extent of his 'showman complex'.
For the sake of the prompt, if he had any minor inconveniences with his little escape he wouldn’t turn down you assisting him in his plans.
Though do keep in mind his showman complex and that unless you want to be discovered as a traitor, you’ll need to discuss with him a plan where you won’t be seen as an accomplice.
He’ll leave little gifts for you on your desk mostly to show his appreciation for all that you’ve done for him.
How he gets them there, you’re not too sure.
If you don't care for his gifts, he'll offer other ways to show his appreciation. (I'm winking under the eyepatch)
Gotham!Jervis Tetch
Job: Doctor
“Twinkle, twinkle, pretty doctor, how I long to unlock her. In this asylum, you shine with smite, but in my heart, you are my light.” (Yes, this is similar to him and Lee’s interaction.)
When he got sent to Arkham, there wasn’t much he was looking forward to.
Except getting back out on Gotham streets and getting revenge on James Gordon.
But when he meets you? Now there’s something to look forward to.
Once he realizes you’re on his side and help him escape the first time, expect to hear from him often.
Quite often in fact.
When he gets sent to Arkham a second time, doctor visits and check ups are a lot more fun now.
It’s like two kids in kindergarten, passing secret notes to one another while the teacher isn’t looking.
Some being about a plan for his escape while others are all laughs and giggles.
He is a gentleman when it comes to showing his gratitude for your assistance.
That is if he likes you of course.
Gotham!Jonathan Crane
Job: Forensic science technician
When you first met, Jonathan didn’t trust you.
In fact he hated you.
Anyone associated with the GCPD and Jim Gordon, he hated.
He blamed you all for the death of his father.
It took a bit of time and patience for him to fully trust you.
Even when you started becoming a full time mole for him, he still kept you at an arms length.
No matter how often you’d update him on the GCPD and their plans, or Jim Gordon’s whereabouts, he’d just give a vague form of acknowledgment or confirmation in your words.
The only reason he started to put his whole trust in you was when you started showing interest in his experiments.
Especially his toxin.
He starts enjoying your company more when you start helping him perfect his toxin.
You both find out it comes in handy that you’re able to get information on your former colleagues' fears without any suspicion.
He’s able to find weak points in practically every police officer in the precinct.
He starts showing his gratitude for your help later on.
Though he does tend to act vague about it.

The Reindeer
Tis the season for...reindeer antlers but the rogues don't want you wearing the antlers.
Scarecrow: "Are you seriously wearing reindeer antlers?" He asked. "How old are you?" You scoffed. "Who invited Krampus?" You asked the group, gesturing to Jonathan. "Careful, I'd take that as a compliment given the movie." Jonathan gave you a fake smile. "My point still stands." You fired back. "As does mine." Jonathan countered. "And how old are you then? One hundred and fifty?" You said with snark. "Older than you. Probably mentally older two given I don't act like a five year old." Jonathan countered. "No, youre only an emotional stunted toddler." You countered. "Banter or genuine arguing- knock it off." Two-Face grumbled.
The Riddler: "We're the Grinch and Max." You deadpanned. "Now what are you talking about?" He sighed. "You're wearing green. "And my suit has purple question marks! I am dressed like the Riddler! Who is me! So how does purple question marks relate to the Grinch?" He asked and you blinked, thinking hard. "...Questionable Grinch...?" You mumbled to yourself, and if looks could kill, your head would have exploded. "That's it you're not going." The Riddler said and his eyes widened suddenly as did your own. You pointed. "Ah! You said the thing! You said the thing!" "Shut up! That's not-" the Riddler couldn't manage a response and stormed off before he trapped himself any further.
Black Mask: "(Y/N), you do realise we're going to a gang meet. People owe me money ...and you're wearing shitty reindeer antlers." You huffed. "You're just a grinch. You're a millionaire and you pass up on the opportunity to wear anything you can without consequence." "Fame and fortune doesn't mean being free of consequence. It just means everyone remembers every move you make, good or bad, and every one of those movements are judged." It was surprisingly full of wisdom, hardly Roman's style...and then it was ruined. "So take the damn antlers off you weirdo. Now definitely isn't the time."
Two-Face: "If you wear those, you're not walking beside me. We are taking two very different routes." Harvey declared. "Of come on! They're festive! I look like I actually like the most wonderful time of the year!" You argued. "You look ridiculous! This is Gotham! People are gonna think you're a new criminal on the streets and come up with some name that includes antlers!" Harvey wished he never said it judging the grin you got on your face.
Mad Hatter: "Take those off right now!" Jervis huffed. "No, why!?" You fired back. "Because I said so!" Jervis had never looked so disgruntled. Disgusted even, the longer he looked at you. Eventually it got to you. If it didn't get your self esteem, it got your patience. So you took the antlers off. "Thank you." Jervis said flatly before grinning, plucking the antler headband from your hands and onto his head. You gaped. "You made me take them off, tried to make me feel dumb because you wanted to wear them!?" Jervis only giggled, looking very satisfied with himself.

Arkhamverse Mad Hatter x Reader - Only a Nightmare
You couldn’t shake the feeling you were being watched.
Almost like someone was staring holes right through you, a hole through your lungs, making it hard to catch your breath.
You also didn’t recognize your surroundings…you were definitely still in Gotham though. All alone on a foggy night with no street signs in sight and on an empty sidewalk.
At least it seemed empty.
Being alone already had you on edge, let alone with someone you didn’t know…and who felt extremely threatening.
The fog slowly dissipated a little and you could start to make out more of the figure.
They were tall and broad, most of their face was obscured by the shadow of their hood.
You didn’t get many more details because you quickly opted to turn away and start speed walking away.
Your heart dropped when you heard a set of heavy footsteps echo after your own.
Speed walking shifted into a jog and before you know it, you were running with no clear direction.
Deeper into the thickness of the fog.
Suddenly, you reached a door to a house. You yanked the door open without a second thought. Maybe this was a house you’ve been in before, if you had a chance to take it all in you could recognize it.
“J-Jervis…Jervis!”
You felt your mouth shape around his name but no sound came out of it. No matter how hard you try to get your chords to work, they seized to make a sound.
“H-Help!”
Still no sound.
The figure’s shadow got larger and larger in the window.
The house seemed to shrink-pulling you closer to the door.
The door knob started twisting and turning–
The door creaked open–
“Wake up, wake up my dear! You’re having an awful nightmare I fear!”
Your eyes shot open. Your heart almost palpitating through your rib cage.
The house, the figure, the fog…it all faded away.
In reality, you were in bed. Jervis at your side, his face riddled with concern. Both of his hands were on your shoulders, he gently shook you out of your nightmare.
The only thing you could think of to do was hug him.
“My, my, something in your sleep has gone awry.” He muttered but returned your embrace full-heartedly.
“Y-Yeah…I–It was a nightmare…An awful nightmare, Jervis. I hadn’t had one so scary in years–I…” You nestled your head deeper into the crook of his neck and shoulder.
“I-I couldn’t find you…I called for you but no noise came out.” You quietly whispered, sniffling slightly. “I was all alone…”
Jervis’ heart sunk. He couldn’t imagine a worse nightmare. To somehow be separated from you, to not be there for you…to know that you need him and there isn’t anything he can do.
He began slowly rocking you back and forth, softly shushing your quiet sniffles. “But not anymore, my dear! I promise you have nothing to fear, your Jervis is here!”
You squeezed your arms around him tighter at that last statement. He’s right, you’re not alone…not when it mattered. Jervis was always there.
After a few more moments of calming silence, you reluctantly pulled out of the embrace to face him.
Jervis leaned forward and gave you a kiss on your forehead.
“Would you like to try and go back to sleep? Maybe try counting sheep?”
You giggled at the whimsy rhyme, but nodded as you lowered your body into the mattress. You brought Jervis with you on your descent and he nestled perfectly into your side like a puzzle piece, with your arms still interlocked around each other’s bodies.
You began stroking his scalp, your fingers gingerly raking into the strands of his hair. The rhythmic motion immediately lulled Jervis back to a soft doze.
As you matched your breathing with him, you too finally fell back asleep into a dreamless slumber. Which you were more than content with, for there was no better dream than the reality of waking up tomorrow next to Jervis.

BTAS Dork Squad’s Favorite Horror Film
TW: TALK OF BLOOD, GORE, FEAR, AND DEATH
JERVIS TETCH:
Okay so I have a feeling he enjoys older horror movies, but not too scary ones. He gets frightened easily, isn’t one for too much blood and gore, and doesn’t enjoy jump-scares. No, he hates that. So the movie that most likely stuck out to him was Jaws, a classic. It wasn’t too scary for him, wasn’t too bloody or had too much gore, I think the only part that might have made him upset is when that kid is eaten by the shark. Other than that, he probably most likely enjoyed it, and would watch it again, most likely in October.
EDWARD NYGMA:
It’s either Escape Room, or Saw. I’m leaning more towards Escape Room, mainly because it’s a problem-solving movie. I mean, it quite literally tests your intelligence and smarts more than Saw does, it has actual riddles in it. Edward loves that, easy choice for him.
JONATHAN CRANE:
This one is tough. He probably likes all horror movies, of course with preferences. He doesn’t like the comedic, ridiculous movies or just flat out plain movies. He probably likes older movies too, like Jervis. But if he to pick one, it would either be A Nightmare on Elm Street or SMILE. He likes the psychological aspect of SMILE, and I can imagine him making Jervis and Edward watch it with him. Whenever a is about to jump-scare pop up he just smiles and watches the other two scream, he total predicts it and loves watching the other’s scream in shock. A Nightmare on Elm Street is just an old classic for him, he enjoys it a lot. It isn’t exactly scary for him, but he still likes it.
