i just thought of the time me and my parents were in Redlands to do something and i had a hyperfixation with the Aquabats and i remembered reading a wiki page that said one of them worked in a coin shop and i told my dad and they wanted to sell some stamps they had so we went in and they noticed i had a Aquabats bracelet (that i made) and they went "Oh your a Aquabats fan! One second!" and went to the back and WALKED BACK OUT WITH JAMES BRIGGS (jimmy the robot) BEHIND THEM. i almost died on the spot he was so nice and talked about the supershow and something they were working on that i wont say here (for now) and i even got a picture and a autograph!! i was so incredibly happy and i dont think i stopped smiling for a good while.

TLDR: The Aquabats are amazing ppl. And Jimmy is my favorite.

Mesa Flats circa 2007

Stephen Loyal has a very fashion trend outfit from 2007 (and mostly from the mid to late 2000s: Shirts with Vests and jeans)

Julianne Charlot has an outfit very inspired by The Hills and Gossip Girl, which is the dress of Tata Young's official sim

Gordon Fetching literally wanted to give it vibes of "Dark Peter Parker" but at the same time of Adam Levine in 2007

Erin Davis, is it too obvious that I was heavily inspired by Selena Gomez and Rihanna from 2007

Rachel Ware, inspired a bit by the High Waisted Wide Leg Jeans trend from 2007 (Who would have thought that years later in the 2020s we brought them back and much cooler)

Kadisha Briggs, when I first saw her I said "she had an emo phase" and I wasn't entirely wrong (she wanted to give her Avril Lavigne and Hayley Williams vibes)

I've wanted to do this blog for a long time, I really didn't know what year to put Mesa Flats in (At the moment I don't know what year I'll put Bitville, Garden Heights and Arbor Falls in xD, If you have any ideas for these three neighborhoods, please tell me haha)! Well, 2007 wasn't a very pretty year for pop culture, especially because of the breakdown of our princess of pop, but it was also a pretty great year: Shrek 3 comes out, Selena Gomez in her Alex Russo era, Taylor Swift in her debut era, Paramore appears, Avril Lavigne releases "The Best Damn Thing", Rihanna releases her smash hit "Umbrella" and above all the first season of the iconic series from the late 2000s "Skins" is released (I RECOMMEND YOU GUYS TO WATCH IT!!, if you already saw it, you have to see it again), and above all... this makeover is the most complicated one I've done in this whole series haha, but above all thanks to @simstralia for 2KL8 and Safiya Nygaard for her 2007 outfits video.

damn twin peaks really was just like. ok this is our dead girl laura palmer and this is her girlfriend donna and their boyfriend james and james & donna’s girlfriend maddy (who is also laura’s cousin). and this is is laura’s OTHER boyfriend bobby and his girlfriend shelly who is married (FUCK LEO JOHNSON) and this is shelly’s boss norma the love theme plays over a lot of their scenes which is interesting to say the least. and here we have norma’s husband hank and her boyfriend ed and ed’s wife nadine. it goes on basically the entire town is somehow romantically linked to each other. and here to investigate laura’s murder we have special agent dale cooper and his girlfriend diane and his ex albert and coop & albert’s boyfriend harry and his girlfriend josie. also present are the strange number of evil old men obsessed with josie, cooper’s new girlfriend annie, and audrey horne who has a thing for him but he won’t date because she’s 18. also gordon cole. who’s the lady with the log? we call her the log lady.

Your Twin Peaks fun fact of the day

Day #5

Many of the characters names in Twin Peaks weren't chosen just because.

Several characters are named after film noir figures, here are some examples:

Madeleine Ferguson, Laura's cousin, shares her first name with Kim Novak's character in Vertigo and her surname with James Stewart character in that same movie. Curiously enough, the movie surrounds a dead blonde and her brunette doppelgänger.

There's an insurance agent on Twin Peaks named Walter Neff, which plays homage to Fred MacMurray's character in Double Indemnity.

Also, the vet Dr. Lydecker and Waldo the bird both pay tribute to Clifton Webb's character in Laura.

And Gordon Cole, whose name is a reference to Bert Moorhouse character in Sunset Boulevard, one of David Lynch's favorite movie and biggest inspiration.

But it's not just film noir references. For instance, Dale Cooper's, whose middle name is Bartholomew, initials are the same ones as D. B. Cooper the famous hijacker who parachuted from a plane in Washington with stolen cashed and disappeared out of the blue.

And last but not least, Harry Truman's name is a reference to the Harry Truman who refused to leave his lodge during the eruption of Mount St. Helens.
